Family friendly, highly decorated cozy restaurant cooking a warm home cooked breakfast and specialty lunches. Try our Oreo pancake or our crowd favourite Apple Pie Pancakes for an unforgettable breakfast! Don't forget our mouthwatering Philly Cheesesteak for lunch. We look forward to serving you the best!
This is a classic neighborhood breakfast place. It gets packed during breakfast hours with regulars. Theres an early bird special on the first pic I posted. It's no fuss and straight to the point breakfast. The special pancakes (which I didn't order this time) is fancier. It's more like eating a fancy cake because of how much filling they stuff into the dish. It's a must try if you haven't been here and we usually take one home.
Favourite breakfast spot! The prices and portions are great value, service is quick, food tastes great. Especially love their pancake flavours
Atmosphere was old school, seemed like a local favourite. We were seated immediately, and while our table still had residue, the service was great. Food came in a timely manner, and everything was so hearty.
Got to try for yourself!! highly recommended! I love this restaurant and I can never finish their food by myself. So, If you’re looking for a casual brunch or dates with family and friends. This is for you! If you want fancy/Romantic atmosphere or ambiance for a date or so, this place might be for you.. this is a cozy and family friendly place. The menu are so much more than other breakfast/brunch places! There can be a bit of wait in the line during like 12pm noon but it’s not a long wait.
Really good, home cooked food with a warm, rustic atmosphere and super friendly and efficient service. I've been here a few times now and I've had the same consistent experience each time. I'm quickly met inside the door and seated by the host. The wait staff takes drink orders and is so friendly and helpful with any questions regarding the menu. On this visit, I tried the corned beef breakfast. The waitress promptly informed me that it is not a corned beef hash...just sliced corned beef. That suited me fine and I'm glad I tried it. The corned beef was so flavourful and absolutely delicious! The plate came with 3 eggs, home fries and toast. Everything was cooked wonderfully and all of the flavours complimented each other perfectly. Several times throughout my meal, the waitstaff came around topping up my coffee. Prices were very fair as well. In all, this is a nice little hidden gem, tucked in the corner of a plaza, but they certainly don't hide their hospitality and delicious food. The warmth and efficiency of the waitstaff, plus the formidable food and extensive menu will surely have me back again for more.
I dropped into Rosemary & Thyme with my golfing foursome after a round. I had heard good things about this place so I was happy to try it. First of all, it's nothing like I had imagined. It's dark, with worn and torn furniture, but clean. Translation: it has an old-world charm, and the staff made you feel welcome. I can't complain about that! Three of us ordered from their breakfast menu, which included pancakes, bacon, eggs, home fries, and coffee. I opted for the Greek gyro wrap, served with fries and coleslaw. All the food was pretty good, with decent portions. Prices were reasonable and we got a cash discount. These are the reasons why I'd come back.
My son took me here as this is a regular spot for him. I could see why. The service was fast and friendly and the food was unbelievable. As my food was being brought to my table I could hear the other diners say "wow" and it tasted as good as it looked. I had the loaded berry Belgium waffle and my son had the apple pie pancakes. The place looks dated but it gave the perfect feel of going to an old family members home that you love to visit. I would not change a thing.
I recently visited Rosemary and Thyme Restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience! The portions here are huge, making them perfect for sharing. We tried the cheesecake pancake with strawberries, and it was absolutely delicious. Their hearty poutine was also excellent, full of flavor and very satisfying. The generous portions and tasty dishes make this place a must-visit. Highly recommended for a weekend Brunch!
Have been eating here for more than 12 years. Best run breakfast place in Toronto. Amazing service and great food.
Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes Food : 5/5 |
Went here off the blog TO post recommendation and was not disappointed. The spot was busy we waited around 30 mins for a table and I m so glad we did. The menu is vast, and will be making another trip back soon. I got the Apple Pie Pancakes and my husband got the Strawberry Cheese Cake French Toast, our son got the kids Hamburger and Fries. We had an enjoyable meal together!
Reasonable rates and local restaurant. Good choice menu.
Great food. Great place. Great service.
Every thing tastes good (except sausages). Waiters are friendly. Has a nice and warm atmosphere.
I don t know the name but the lady in the pink jacket was so helpful i wish she should be paid well
Cozy, comfortable, great portions, reasonable wait times, friendly staff and an overall local gem! SO TASTY! Kid-friendliness: friendly atmosphere and the servers. love children.
Very disappointed with the portion sizes lately .
Overall a great local diner, that for a random Thursday morning, was quite busy. Great portions that were quite tasty and all the condiments (especially hot sauce) was all on the table. Coffee was great and freshly made too. Loved finding this little gem today and will definitely be back.
Overall okay but the cinnamon bun pancakes were scorched and black in spots. Really nothing we had was particularly wow and we have done same quality or better at home. Service was slow and frankly a bit pushy and obsequious, which was a bit of a turn off. Some people might like that though but not us. I would go back to try some other menu items and just hope they were having a bit of an off day.
Im actually very upset with my order! I ordered French toast! The photo showed a beautiful strawberry stuffed French toast. What I got was white bread dipped in egg (no flavor) and fried. They didnt even add powdered sugar or send syrup! I also got scrambled eggs that had shells in them and three dried out sausage links! The photos looked amazing and the food that came was a joke! After my order I got a new recite showing my bill went from $25 to $31. It wasnt an option I was just notified about it. The food wasnt worth anything. Im actually so upset, again the photos online were nothing like I received. I dont even care to rate but Im so upset that I had to. I do not want other people to get fooled into thinking what I thought. Why show a picture of a beautiful strawberry stuffed French toast and send cheap white bread dipped in egg. Not even eggs with cream and vanilla!! Just egg. It was like fried egg on soggy bread. So weird.
A must if you are near by. Will be back for sure.
Best breakfast in GTA!
Ive visited this restaurant multiple times for brunch over the past several months. While one particular server consistently provides excellent, attentive service, the overall service quality varies significantly. Some staff members seem disinterested in serving customers, though theyre noticeably warmer with regular patrons. The food quality has unfortunately declined considerably. As a frequent customer of their eggs Benedict with salmon and spinach, Ive observed a marked deterioration. During my most recent visit, the dish had several issues: tough, bitter spinach, egg shells in the eggs, and a sour hollandaise sauce. This is particularly disappointing as the same dish was previously well-executed. Its disheartening to see this decline, especially since this restaurant filled a welcome niche as an independent breakfast spot in our neighborhood. I hope the management can address these quality control issues and return to their previous standards.
Fantastic local restaurant
Your standard brunch fare!
Always a perfect breakfast. I love the old style home fries that comes with the breakfast, the paprika makes it.
Rosemary & Thyme is a classic diner style breakfast restaurant. Their breakfasts are good, I dont have anything to say except the fact that the portions are huge & everything is made to order. I personally love their side potatoes, and the eggs benedict is my favourite because they DRENCH my eggs in hollandaise sauce. I recommend this place to anyone because its a very local owned, nice little restaurant. Also get the pancakes! Theyre nice and fluffy. The only negative thing Id say is its gotten extremely pricey. For the region were in, were paying on average $30 per person which is absurd for breakfast.
Great food and great service!
Our server was amazing! Food was fresh and fast as well! Will definitely come back here if Im in the area
Good family breakfast restaurant. Nice staff. Decent breakfast. Get your home fries twice baked or well done. Only reco would be they renovate already. The chairs and tables are starting to really fall apart.
Been there a few times now. Great prices, amazing wait staff, the steak on a bun is absolutely first rate.I recommend it to everyone Parking: not applicable
Great portions, friendly staffs. Good place for morning breakfast
Always delicious food and friendly service. Food
Delicious, simple, the server was looking out for us, and affordable.
The quality of the food is not the best, but the portions are quite generous. I must say that the service could be improved, but I do appreciate the relaxed and pleasant atmosphere of the establishment.
Food was underwhelming; service was great though, good coffee.
My favorite restaurant and my food always comes how I order it from my banquet burger with soft bacon to my coffee and breakfast with crispy home fries. Great old school style Burgers! Get the burgers!!
I couldnt find waiters The food was average No utensil on table Took couple mints find waiters The is really expensive Just for buger and fries n May be or maybe not I mighty give second chance When I could afford it I mighy go back
Everything was on point, medium rare steak was juicy and perfectly cooked. My kids loved the pancakes. Their Hollandaise sauce blew my taste buds away. I m for sure coming back!
The place is a little on the dirty side and needs some TLC. Service was adequate but the food was lousy. Home fries were undercooked and very greasy, the meat tasted like it was boiled instead of fried, and the waffle was disgusting - even the kids didn t want to touch it. The only items that were okay were the scrambled eggs and the toast.
I m only coming here back once they change the staff! If i have to rate the food inly I ll say 4/5 but the staff OMG like how do you train them Please work on your staff and hire a better polite and someone professional at customer service otherwise god know how long you gonna survive in this run. But food was good just replace the staff and you have 10 referrals from me :)
Honestly, you can find so many other spots that are way better. The service here is actually terrible and the food is below average. Our waitress was terrible, came to us once in our 1.5 hour stay. They also price gouge. I ordered a breakfast BLT and it didn t come with home fries so I had to order a side for 3.45$. Kind of ridiculous and takes away the vibe of a typical greasy spoon. Definitely won t be coming back
Great delicious all day breakfast. First time really enjoy it will come back!!
Honestly, the portions are big but lack flavor. The scrabble eggs had a weird taste. Then menus were confusing. The food took awhile to come out when there werent any orders. For the price not sure if Id go back when theres so many other options.
Great! Really big portions, delicious, excellent and attentive waitress. Tip: upgrade your home fries, worth it!
Hidden gem! We had breakfast, the food came out fast and everything was delicious. Family friendly restaurant, we are definitely going back!
No complaints at all! Seated promptly during the weekend lunch rush. Family friendly establishment! No issues with two infants and one toddler. Our server gladly split our bills (3 couples). Food arrived quickly. Cheesecake pancakes were a hit. Breakfast fare was typical for a diner - however you get three eggs with your Bene instead of two!
It was the first time we visited the place and I really wanted to do it... I will think about returning again, the service was very bad, we waited too long to be served coffee again... and when I asked another girl for coffee again, her attitude was very rude...
I was very disappointed with my recent visit to Rosemary and Thyme. I came by with my sisters on a Sunday and it was quite busy. We put our name down and was waiting for about 20 minutes (which isnt a big problem). But, as we were waiting a young woman had walked in well after we arrived, pretty much walked passed everyone and made her way to the front of the line. Once she was there, seemed like she was a friend or acquaintance of one of the server. The server came over to say hi and asked how long she had been waiting, which the lady responded with I was here after them and was referring to us. The waiter went over and cleared a table for the young lady and her friends while we were left to wait. If that didnt leave a sour taste in our mouth, the food was very disappointing. The omelette was very rubbery and had no flavour. The loaded home fries also lacked flavour. There was literally no salt in our food! The saving grace was the cinnamon roll pancakes! Our waiter was excellent and made sure to refill our coffee and was very attentive. Overall, I was very underwhelmed and would not come again.
Great brunch place. Good quality and great portions. Really good egg Benny and pancakes!
I tried Egg Benedict with tomato and spinach and it was just amazing. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Service was wonderful too. I am going to come back with my family
Portions are huge, price is amazing, service was great. Waitress kept on coming to provide coffee. The regular breakfast is simple, lots of protein, toast and generous servings of home fries. Only thing is, food is pretty normal, pretty fresh.
Loved the breakfast here!
Greasy sausage, Literally threw up as leaving. Absolutely avoid.
Out of this world. Price is good, food is amazing
Food is normally ok, but sadly service was poor today - August 11. Waiter give away my table whilst using the washroom even before my food had arrived after ordering. Service
It s my fourth time eating here. Very tasty and I like it very much. Food
One of the family favorites. We keep coming back.
Great breakfast, consistent service and accurate order processing
Amazing breakfast spot, go early for the early bird special
Went to breakfast with a friend, first time here. It was great!! portion sizes were huge!! I was happily full
Wonderful food at a reasonable price
We had a party of 11 at 1pm on Sunday, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They were able to discreetly move a group to accommodate us. This level of service is something that we havent seen at other restaurants. The quality of the food and the portions were exceptional. Very homey and casual dining that will see us visiting again!
Order from skip dishes, very disappointed, had pork souvlaki breakfast, no seasoning, ordered over easy eggs they were over cooked, home fries were almost raw, sorry but won t be ordering from here again
Awesome service and great food ! Kids meal was a bargain! Love the egg Benny on waffles! Yum!
It s hit or miss. My brother loves the pancakes!
Solid Early Bird Special. Waitress was very attentive and kind.
The food here tasted comparatively better last year. I took my mom here this morning (Wednesday) for a cozy brunch which turned a disappointing one. The server, a tall, past middle age blond hair lady seems arrogant and while she tries to work fast to accommodate everyone, she comes across very bossy, rude, very passive aggressive and scary, and if it was up to her she would have dropped the plates on our table and probably coffee on our laps, just the way she dropped the spoons/forks on the table and threw the receipt on the table, instead respectfully hading it to me or putting on the table. The extra plate that she brought for me and my mom, it was visibly dirty, oily, yukk yukk, and I am not sure if the food plate was clean or not either. And seeing all these, of course no complaint about her manner of no-greetings and no bye or thank you. Her face was angry the whole time with almost everyone. If it was up to her, I think she would have kicked all of us out of there, like literary kicked with her foot. And by the way, the vegetarian omelette was too smelly and dry with barely any vegetables unlike what we used to have last year. In my culture, we respect food, so I did not push it away to be thrown in the garbage. I gave 2 stars for the service just because the angry rude lady did not keep us wait for the table for long and no star for the rest of the service of course.
Back bacon sandwich or roast beef au jus recommended. Will not be disappointed nor will you go away hungry.
Honestly a very disappointing experience. Came here to enjoy brunch with a couple friends and the staff here kept rushing us to leave as if we are not paying customers. Very disrespectful behaviour and would not expect this from an establishment with such high reviews. Did not even get a chance to order since they started asking us to hurry up the second we sat down. Safe to say will not be visiting this place again.
All around good food and great service. Plenty of parking .
Thank you Chris and the entire restaurant staff for a very lovely brunch experience. We absolutely enjoyed our meal and everything was cooked to perfection. Thank you so much for having us! I definitely recommend the blueberry pancakes - they are so light and fluffy!
Excellent service, food and overall value for money. Portions are ample, service is friendly and fast. Quite busy during peak hours in the morning.
Great food. Friendly staff. Responsibility priced.
Its a cute mom and pop restaurant. Food is soo homely and tasty. Definitely a family restaurant. Brunch items are soooo good.
Best speciality pancakes in the city with the most variety. Strawberry Cheesecake, Oreo, Cinnamon Roll pancakes. My 3 favorite every time I go. I cant just have a normal breakfast and I always have to throw in 1-3 pancakes aswell with my meal. Always leave full and at a fair price compared to others. The staff and service has always been good when Ive been. Never ordered delivery or pick up here. I rarely even go anywhere else for breakfast anymore since they already have so many different options for me!! One of the few places I consider myself a regular at. Id also like to add that they offer some great value burgers that are much better than fast food counterparts and at a fair price.
We are a regular customer here.We had two breakfasts today for myself and my spouse. We both had a lot of hairs in our food, and they seemed annoyed when we complained and showed no sympathy for us. Inadequate cleanliness, including dirty glasses, and unfriendly service. Really disappointed. Frequent customers are not valued .
Here, we are frequent customers. My wife and I had two breakfasts today. Both of us had a lot of hair in the food, and when we complained, they didnt seem to care. Such unkempt even the glasses could use some cleaning and impolite service. While we are playing with them, they are treated like teens. I have been in the food industry for over 14 years, therefore I always tip them. However, Im unhappy because the previous three occasions, the service has been the worst. In addition, the dish is not cooked through.
Its a great place for breakfast. Food is always good and they are generous with the bacon. Staff is friendly too. Expect a wait for breakfast on the weekend.
Terrible experience! The food is fine, the atmosphere is dirty and so outdated that you feel uncomfortable but the worst aspect is the service. The waitress was so rude and rushed us out the door. Been there several times since the options in the neighbourhood are slim, but never again! Rude! Rude! Rude!
Googled a random breakfast restaurant to go to post-race in Scarborough and wanted something that wasn t a franchise (e.g. Sunset Grill, Cora s, Egg Smart, etc.). I am so happy that I stumbled upon this delicious family-owned restaurant! I ordered the smoky benny and waffle benny with pemeal bacon and omg was it the most delicious Bennie s I ve had! The hollandaise sauce was so good and the amount served was perfect. I wish I had ordered more but I m definitely going to be back to try other breakfast menu items. You also get 10% off if you pay with cash. Oh, and the service and atmosphere was a 5/5!!! Thank you for feeding our hungry bellies with great food and service .
meh
A little expensive but service and food is fantastic.
Food was great, service was kinda slow. Maybe Ill put more details later.
Huge portions. Peameal is cut thick as well as the ham. They dont use the small breakfast sausages either. Ordered the grand slam with over easy eggs and the peameal breakfast with sunny side. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Food came out fast. I can see why this place gets great reviews and is constantly busy. Will definitely come back to try other dishes.
Huge selection of food. Great and simple foods. Great breakfast. Staff on point and super friendly. Will go again for sure!!!
Went with a friend the other day there. It was fantastic. One of the best breakfast spots in the city. The Salmon Benny was in the top 5 I have ever tried. Food
Best breakfast in Toronto !!!!!!!!!! My favourite pancakes of life. I won t go anywhere else.
Great and delicious food and service. It was packed and had to wait a bit for a table. Lots of parking and decent price.
Great little breakfast spot , decent prices , staff is friendly and quick, French toast is amazing ,
Great food, great prices, great service.
Perfect traditional diner, amazing breakfast all day! Dietary restrictions: Respect & accommodate allergies & restrictions Food : 5/5 |
Rosemary and Thyme is a favourite breakfast/brunch spot for us. Everything weve tried so far has been so tasty. The staff is very friendly and, even when its very busy, the food comes out in a reasonable amount of time once youve ordered. The portions are generous, too. I highly recommend their Hearty Breakfast Poutine (photo included). If youre looking for a weekend breakfast spot and dont like crowds, I recommend going before 9am to avoid a line, though its usually not too long of a wait. Keep in mind they are only open for breakfast and lunch. Photos: Hearty Breakfast Poutine, Apple Pie Pancakes, Blueberry Cheesecake French Toast.
So tasty and big portions.
I recently visited Rosemary and Thyme for brunch and was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. Right from the get-go, the service was exceptional; the staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our meal was enjoyable. The portion sizes are generous, providing great value for the money, and each dish we tried was delicious, perfectly balancing flavors and textures. It s evident that Rosemary and Thyme cares deeply about the quality of their food and the satisfaction of their customers. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch brunch experience!
Brilliant old school set up. Been going occasionally since it was known as the Clipper. Good ambience and food. We need more places like Rosemary & Thyme. I know from experience that its extremely difficult to find success in the restaurant industry. This place manages to hang on. Cheers!!
Eggs Benedict was gross way too sour wait staff wasn t approachable and was very hard to get ahold of, initially forgot one of my drinks. Then when I finally got ahold of someone I complained and she responded with this is the first time I ve heard anyone say anything and offered to do nothing. So I paid and left. Can t see myself going back.
Our first time in this restaurant, we drove about half an hour from Toronto downtown core. Came in at 10am on a weekdays and got a table without waiting, the service (one waiter running the whole floor), food, portion was all good. Washroom located in the basement and it could be cleaner since both toilets were kind of messy, one stocked and the other one got a splash of brown that was quite nasty. Overall, it s an ok place to have a fair meal for a good price
Breakfast All day was delicious. We got pancakes, omelettes and a beef wrap. All very good. Friendly staff, excellent service. We will be back. Atmosphere was like a diner, charming and cozy. Kid-friendliness: Went with my son and his friend during March break. Menu is perfect for kids
So friendly and crazy big portions! Highly recommended!! Kid-friendliness: Super friendly. High chair. Food : 5/5 |
Food came with delay ..and was not the same as described in the menu.
Food was good. It could use a decor update. Old tables, ripped chairs.
Best breakfast ever
Overall, its a ok place. Most of the breakfast was enjoyable, potatoes could do with a bit of work, both a tad on the cool side and needed a bit more cooked. Portion size was actually excellent. Eggs was spot on. Overall. Nice little local joint for the price of 13.95 plus coffee as extra.
Delicious food, good atmosphere, just slow service
have you ever been to someones home and felt like you knew everyone there and it was just the forst time coming? then you need to come here! it is a smaller restaurant l but i think that is why it makes it so great. all the staff aretfriendly, they make you feel like you are their family. beside the amazing prices the quantity and qaulity of food is outstanding ! I highly recommend getting their canadian breakfast with oreo pancakes! I cant wait to come back here!
I have visited this location twice. Excellent place for brunch. Home cooked meal vibe
Pretty busy during brunch hours on weekends. The staff were really rushing around, but the eggs benny was great
Lovely people The food is good The servers are amazing Food : 4/5
Food and service were both top notch. The selection of the menu is so great and anyone should be able to find something delicious here. Food
Super disappointed, ordered breakfast at home for an easy birthday morning before work. I ordered one deep fried home fries one regular. Both showed up deep fried but it was so fried it was almost boreline burnt. The turkey bacon was also burnt not one part was remotely soft. Breakfast is usually the meal I never really have complaints about but this was definitely not enjoyable at all. Me and my significant other were not able to even to finish our meals, Confused why anyone would even think its okay to send that out and expect it to be edible. :(
Rosemary & Thyme is a classic Scarborough diner that I hadnt eaten at in years. Went on a Saturday morning around 10-11AM, the place was packed, but there were two tables open. One waiter greeted us and said wed be served shortly and sure enough, about 30 seconds later, another server sat us. The menu is quite large, but we like to be prepared so we mostly figured out what we wanted before hand. I ordered the Salvo Eggs Benedict (smoked salmon and avacado) and my girlfriend the French toast, scrambled egg whites, bacon and sausage. Laaarrrge portions. The home fries are very unique as theyre kind of like Greek potatoes (herby and seasoned) and then fried on a griddle. Very flavourful, just wished they were a bit more crispy. Eggs for the Salvo Benedict were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise was seasoned well and not overbearing. Proof that Rosemary & Thyme is a proper diner; the sausage skin has a good snap to it. Small detail, but nothing is sadder than a soft mushy sausage.
Ok went here with a buddy who recommended it. No wait on a Sunday for brunch. Got seated right away but restaurant was full. Interior of restaurant was old fashion and the seat I sat in was ripped. Waitress came and took our orders right away. Cash only today as debit machine was down but they did have a sign on the door warning of this. I ordered the lumberjack breakfast which came with 5 bacons or sausage, 3 eggs, 2 pancakes and breakfast potatoes. I told them I wanted my bacon burnt and sure enough they did it as I desired. I opted for the upgraded cinnamon swirl pancakes and the loaded potatoes which had onions cheese and peppers on them. The food came very quickly which was great and it looked fantastic. The pancakes were delicious, the bacon was perfectly cooked how I asked and the eggs were the perfect consistency. The potatoes although a little bigger pieces had a great amount of topping on them. All in all I would rate the food an 8/10. The only complaint I have is that I don t know if the value is there. We paid $61.92 with tax before tip for two people. The thing that really upset me was that they charge $3.50 for a can of pop. So no refills, and the price of fountain pop or more. But again once in a while no problems but to eat here regularly would be too costly.
Beautiful and cozy gem restaurant in North York s northeast. I ve only had brunch in this restaurant and I keep coming back! Excellent egg s Benedicts, omelettes and full breakfasts. The home fries are excellent and you never run out of coffee here! Vegetarian options: Eggs Benedict Florentine and a list of no meat dishes Parking: Parking in a plaza
A really nice piece! Tasty and patient
Great food and service Parking: Many spots to choose from Kid-friendliness: Great for all ages
What a wonderful gem to have here. Everyone is so friendly and the food is fantastic. In this crazy world they can still manage a more than reasonable portion for a fair price. Wait times can be excessive because this place is fantastic but the food always come fresh and with a smile. My husband and I found this place randomly a year ago when we moved and we will NOT go anywhere else! If we could give it 10 stars we would!!! Even the Ubereats came hot and the same portion as expected. Dietary restrictions: If you have any issues just let them know. Parking: Massive parking lot with wheel chair parking . Kid-friendliness: A very cozy atmosphere to bring my kids. Always friendly conversation and smiling faces.
Solid breakfast food, great service. Reasonable prices.
This place has been on my list for quite some time now, and I m really glad I got to try it out! Rosemary & Thyme is a local diner that is very comforting. The food here is great and the inside is very no-frills. Nothing like your higher end brunch places that you can find around. Although they are on the pricier side, the servings are very big and will definitely leave you feeling full. I wish we got to try more but with the dishes we got, everything was fantastic Breakfast Poutine 9/10: this dish was very filling and doesn t make you feel heavy or greasy after. It s packed with veggies, meat, cheese, and served with poached eggs on top! If you re interested in something like this, I would highly recommend trying it from here. Club Sandwich 7/10: the sandwich was good but nothing special - i like how they serve the mayo on the side. I d opt getting something else instead of their sandwich as their breakfast options seem to be the star of the show. Banana Blitz Pancakes 10/10: these are some of the best pancakes i ve had, and they were packed with so many different ingredients. The pancakes were thick and fluffy, and didn t make you feel heavy afterwards. We asked to switch the cream cheese icing to nutella and it was soooooo good. Highly recommend trying any of their pancakes here. Overall, Rosemary & Thyme is a great place to check out for their breakfast items and definitely deserves the hype. Make sure you catch them at a good time because there will definitely be a line *also just wanted to mention that the servers here were very friendly and accommodating to our stroller situation!
Great breakfast!!
Great customer service and has a somewhat rustic diner atmosphere. The food comes quickly and it tastes amazing.
The worst experience, they should learn how to treat others with proper respect.
Excellent breakfast/brunch spot. Can be quite busy on the weekends but moat customers are quick so the wait is not too bad. The smoked salmon benedict was prepared exactly as requested. Service was quick and accurate.
Cozy and comfortable, staff is friendly and accommodating.
Steak and egg s highly recommended! This aint no regular small steak like all the other breakfast spots even the bacon taste better here ! Great service as well
We have been here twice , and it s busy. Be prepared to wait if it s during peak hours. But the tables clear fairly quickly. My go to order is the R+T Eggs Benny breakfast. I m always asking for a box to go. It s a lot of portion for me. My fiancé had ordered the pancake with sausage meal.
Perfect brunch spot with a few Greek food options
Love the ambience and food here. Our place to get brunch. Definitely recommended.
1st time here for breakfast. Nice neighborhood restaurant, was busy and loud. We got lucky and were seated right away. Extensive menu, great choices. Will come back for sure! Food : 5/5
Got the banana bread French toast. Not the greatest. Everything else was amazing.
Pretty good family dinner for breakfast and lunch. The hosts were nice and kind, and the food was amazing.
The food is amazing. I ve come here so many times for their chopped steak bennys.
My husband and I came for breakfast on Saturday morning as it would be our second time coming to Rosemary and Thyme. We were in shock as we were waiting a little for a table as the host saw there were tables open yet still ignored our preserce. Waiting for menus and drinks came around the same time as the food. Overall the food was amazing for the second time and the server was so kind!
At Rosemary and Thyme, the breakfast experience was exceptional. The inviting atmosphere set the stage for an enjoyable dining experience. The menus diverse offerings catered to different tastes and preferences, ensuring a delightful selection for all patrons. The attentive and friendly service added a positive touch, enhancing the overall satisfaction. Culinary excellence was evident in the use of fresh ingredients, resulting in delicious and well-presented dishes. With reasonable pricing that aligns with the quality of the food and service, Rosemary and Thyme stands as a recommended breakfast spot in Scarborough. Whether youre seeking a cozy morning meal or exploring new culinary delights, this establishment offers a delightful blend of ambiance, diverse menu options, and excellent service. Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options available for vegetarians they are very accommodating and very understanding of the vegetarians people needs Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating and very understanding of the dietary restriction on your people who are interested in the dietary restriction need Parking: Lots of parking available Kid-friendliness: Very kind of kids and kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible
Great Salmon Benedict! Affordable prices and friendly service!
The food was great and the atmosphere was very nostalgic or something similar from a 90s sitcom.
Brunch was good. The mediterranean omelette was pretty good. Though was disappointed at first look but taste wise no complaints! Breakfast combo came in generous portion. Staff was friendly and tried to take care of you even it was busy
My go to for liver onions kids love the Belgium waffles
Good food. A recommendation from a friend and was spot on. The service was great as well
Nice to go out for brunch. Large portions and very tasty. Waitresses all very friendly and helpful.
I really like this mum and pop brunch spot. The servers are very friendly, and you can tell this is a weekly spot for many locals. I will say because this place is so popular, once youre done eating youll be highly encouraged to leave. As well, your table cannot be seated until everyone in your group arrives. If you want a brunch spot that you can sit in for hours, this is not the place. I ordered the classic breakfast with 3 eggs and sausage. Delicious standard breakfast for a good price. Overall: 4/5
All of the servers are okay, but there is a special one always with a smile on her face, Agnes is patient with orders and efficient. The other servers should be as friendly as her
Good food great menu very polite and professional servers and great atmosphere very reasonable prices everything a good place to eat should be.
tasty food, delivered by a friendly server in a timely manner.
Food was great but good God was that place busy. I got my food quickly and eat without really speaking another work with the staff. Great and will visit in the future.
Lots of variety and very upbeat staff. Very nice brunch place.
Love this brunch/breakfast spot, almost like a hole in the spot!!! Lots of locals found dining here and the service is super fantastic. The portions are very generous and their home fries are amazing. Highly recommend!!!
Old fashion breakfast place with lunch and sandwich menus . Severs are very competent. Helpful and fast . The breakfast was good . Cooked as expected . Coffee was old fashion drip. Very busy Neighborhood place . I would definitely recommend .
The food was good. The portions are definitely large and well worth your buck! We had to wait a bit to get seated, but thats because the restaurant was at full capacity, the waiters were doing their best so I appreciate that. My Eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy. I ordered the Chopped Steak Benny, which was basically eggs Benedict on a burger patty with a base of burger bun. The meat was well seasoned, it was good but I wouldnt order it again. Their Nutella Milkshake was easily a 10/10 (thank you to our waitress that recommended this). This is my second time ever having a milkshake and this was much better than my other experience by a long shot. We also ordered the Nutella Pancake with Nutella filling, it was nice but way too sweet. A single pancake is more than enough for an individual. Overall, seeing the restaurant busy and fast paced was nice because the customers thoroughly seemed to enjoy it. I will most definitely be comming back here again for the milkshake and the large pancake portions!
Food was tasty and so big. Had the cinnamon roll pancakes and the Frenchie Benny. Both were so tasty. The staff was nice. Definitely a busy place for Sunday brunch
My favorite is their Smoky Benny: smoked salmon with egg Benedict and I always get their homemade fries (wedge). Their Hollandaise sauce is impeccable! I loved how they kept their ambience homey with nice cozy lighting and decor, not too bright like a (breakfast/lunch) restaurant and not too dark like a bar. The staff is awesome, too. They make you feel like youve known them for a long time even if its just your first visit. Parking: Its in the plaza, so its a common parking for all the stores/establishments.
Big portions
I hadnt been to this popular local brekkie spot in years and true to its patronage it did not disappoint. There was a constant line-up at 930am but the wait staff kept the line going quickly and customers were all accommodated and seated. The coffee re-fills were continuous and our delicious breakfasts came quickly. The most significant thing I noticed was that everyone was spoken too and treated as though they were family. The waitstaff goes beyond being warm and friendly and this would have me return time and time again. If you havent been GO! You will not be disappointed. Parking: Plenty of spots in this plaza and handicapped spots right in front. Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly. The waitresses know all the families and engage all the kids. Big and small.
Tried this place on a Sunday around 1 pm. It was still decently packed but space opened up within 5 minutes if arrival. They are fast with giving you menu, water and coffee and taking the order. Tried their smokey Benedict, Florentine Benedict, and spinach Benedict. Their hollandaise sauce is one of the best i have ever had. I really liked the home fries too but it wasnt crispy at all if that is what you are looking for. Prices were also very cheap with most dishes under 20 dollars. Parking was abundant in the plaza!
Great value, good food, great service
Wanted in line for over 20 minutes and 2 men went through the door and were seated before everyone in line. I guess it pays to know the owner. Horrible business practices
Enjoyed our Sunday brunch as service and food were impeccable for our first time coming in. Had a bit of a hiccup at the door as there were two groups not happy with the seating times in which the manager stepped in. Perhaps a designated hostess could alievate these problems at the door. All in all, would recommend this place as prices were reasonable and service was very attentive.
We were in disbelief of how bad the service was considering the rave reviews. While being walked to a near by table by hostess she was digging her thong out of her bum twice. Then when she brought the cutlery it was resting on her chest, then she almost dropped them and grabbed the part of cutlery the goes in mouth by her hands and place it down on to the table. She took drink order, came back and spilled hot coffee on me and all over the the table. She didnt notice what happened right away and then said why is this table all wet, then went and grabbed some napkin and threw them on the table and that point me and my sister got up and told her we are leaving she then said wait I have to tell the servicer and ask if you can do that. We told her supervisor we are leaving and would pay for coffee and hot chocolate we ordered if need be and we didnt even touch it. I was so disappointed was really looking forward to trying the food
Family own business, always love to come here weekend with friends, missing orders sometimes that fine. Server brings right away, coffee is very bitter
Delicious food Great service pleasant ambiance Gem of a restaurant Food : 5/5
Delicious breakfast. Everything hit the table in under 5 minutes and it was excellent. I know good breakfast and this place has it.
The best brunch! The best service! Highly recommended!
Nice and friendly staffs and service!! Atmosphere is not bad, but their space is not very spacious a bit crowded. They are usually super busy in the weekend, so you may face a long line there. Food is good nothing to complain about. Personally, I do really love their beef meat or hamburger meat, it s super juicy and rich. If you do love meat, you may like this too.
