Worst place ever I specifically told the bar tender no vegetables in any of my food after I get home and guess what a whole bunch of broccoli is in my rice when I called the store explaining to them I don't live close by and I am allergic to the broccoli as to why I said no veggies they told me that I need to pay another 20 dollar uber to get the food to them in order for it to be made smh very disgusting service and when I explained I had no more money and I cannot afford to do that the bar tender hung up the phone on me...
The Thai green chicken curry was atrocious, disgrace of a Thai dish. Tasted like dish water and celery with a little coconut milk. Yuck. Do not order
A little restaurant In a plaza near Kennedy Station. The food was good. Had lunch there with a friend. Atmosphere has more older folks. It was midday so cricket was on the television. It's that type of spot. But don't let it fool you. The roti and curry goat were great. Also brought back fried rice and jerk chicken. Also good. The restaurant is a fusion of west Indian and Chinese food.
If you are missing "home" and want to feel the rum shop vibes, then this is the place for you. Everyone is nice and friendly. They have many lunch specials (until 3 pm Monday to Friday) to choose from at affordable prices. The price will be 7.99 starting January 1st, which includes a can pop. The lunch special is available after 3pm for an upcharge. They have a full West indian chinese menu to choose from. Staff is polite, the restaurant is clean, and it is at Midland and Eglinton steps from Kennedy Station.
I ordered, and the food was ready really quick. The staff was very friendly. I got the special lo mein with jerk chicken on top and chicken/beef/shrimp inside. The portion was big, the flavors were good
Great authentic Guyanese/Chinese food. No roti but chicken/shrimp curry to chow mein. Lots of parking.
I was craving some roti tonight decided to try this place down the road from me. We ordered 2 chicken dahlpuri and 1 beef.$11.50 ea.We didn’t get dahlpuri we get plain roti which was on the doughy side. The beef curry tasted like Chinese style stir fry with curry sauce and the chicken curry was to watery and tasted somewhat like carrots. It was still good to eat but If you’re looking for authentic style, Guyanese food or West Indian food this is not it Sorry
Tried their Jerk Chicken. The spice is perfect for me. It’s just spicy enough to give me the kick! The portion was generous, and it took was one piece of chicken to fill me up. The restaurant is conveniently located right across from Kennedy subway station. There is also a busy Tim Hortons just across the street.
Unclean and not hygienic at all they are rude.
Nice little place to visit . They have good food an friendly clientele .
Curry Goat was nothing but giant bones and a tiny portion as well. The potato was semi raw :( Strange flavor in the gravy as well. The cook does not know what they are doing. Chicken and veg was ok I guess, but again raw veg. Plain roti was really nice and well made. Never again for sure! Much better places out there....
Picked up 2 lunch specials for $7.99 each, Chilli chicken and beef with mixed veg, both came with rice. A huge portion of rice but only small portion of meat and veg but it was filling. These are supposed to be thai dishes but they seem to be using Chinese 3 spice powder it doesnt mix with Thai basil.
Absolutely loved the Spicy Shrimp Chowmein ... Loaded with huge shrimps ... one of the best I have had so far in Toronto ... Also ordered the Shrimp hot and sour soup, but it smelled and tasted very weird, almost rotten, so we returned it.. In my experience when food is returned, customer is not charged for it, I had to pay full price ... Never going back because of the Aweful soup and having to pay for it.
Wish I could give zero stars, food was old and stank. So upset!
Waited an Hour for no Food
I love the food here especially the chicken curry roti!!!
Ordered some take out on Sunday. Fried rice was average - what youd expect. Also ordered a Thai red curry, which was inedible, like they could have used a store packet and it would have been better. Will not be back.
Same ol same ol craziest customers even happyland bartender ran out on her tab instead of paying for her food and drinks. Even worst as the night started seemed like blue lagoon
Crispy hot spring rolls, my favorite
Food was not worth the money,,ordered Beef Fries rice Pepper shrimp 4 spring rolls Rice was mushy and had to be thrown out shrimp was breaded and just deep fried...nothing like what Pepper shrimp should look or taste like. Spring rolls 2 out of 10 spent $32 on this garbage. never again
I was skeptical about ordering this food due to the images on the skip the dishes app but BOYYYYYYYY was I wrong, the food is AMAZINGGGGGGG especially the CURRY GOAT I have ordered 6 times now in the past month i will be a returning customer forever! The gentlemen who works there in the front is also very kind my husband chatted with him briefly during a pickup order.
Good lunch specials
Good food. I personally would have liked it more spicy but tasty still.
Flavourful food for a decent price - just ask if you want more spice because they assume not everyone is into extra spicy. Ordered with apps twice and the food was ready to go each time. Not a lot of seating indoors but weve lived in the age (early 2020s) of take-out for so long that we forgive them.
Very good, had the veggie chow mein noodle dish and the curry chicken nicely favourful with out being to saltly definitely will order again
Food orders appear very quickly. Very tasty. Good portions for the price nowadays. They can modify a bit for taste. Not too spicy hot but can be added on request. Lunch specials from Monday to Thursday are as reasonable price as you can get. I highly recommend.
Use to be called channaman a friendly little place
Delicious food! Dinner for 4 and the Spicy Lovers meat menu for 2 is great. Id highly recommended them. I will come back.
Good service, food excellent.
I like the fry rice & low mein a lot, compliments to the chef
Tasty Caribbean chinese style food, great to visit for delicious lunch .
So I waited for about 4 min while she hastled some kids about paying $4.50 for a can of pop when they are $0.50 next door. I was looking for Guyana Chinese like from the paper bag, but it seemed more western. I ended up leaving.
Visited several times to get their signature dish jerk chicken.
Small joint in a corner selling good food. We went in the middle of the day and the place was nearly empty except for a couple of people having their drinks. We ordered the Goat Curry with Rice and Peas and the Dhalpuri with Chicken. Service was fast (probably because both the gravies tasted exactly the same so the gravy might have been prepared before. Keep in mind that the place does not accept credit cards. We only had US dollars with us and we had to pay 1:1 for the bill. This kind of left a bad taste in the mouth later on. Personally i would not go to this restaurant again but some might like the value for money here (portions are generous compared to the cost).
Im not a fan of sweet and sour menu but this is the best sweet and sour pork i ever tasted!!!
Great food and excellent service
Amazing family owned establishment. Food is high quality for the cheap prices! Must try!
Chow mein is strongly prefered.
I always get the Beef Curry with Rice n Peas!
We got take out, bought a wide spread of dishes. Not sure if we got a bad batch. However while we ate the food it tasted like classic guyanese chinese food which we love. During consumption of the food I would have given it 4/5. Its what happened afterwards. Everyone in my house hold had a strong salty after taste in there mouths and throats. Its weird, because it tasted fine while we ate it(fast food salty). Honestly it felt like we ate a bag of salt/msg. It made us all uncomfortable. I dont know if the restaurant got a faulty batch of msg or flavoring, but this will sure deter customers.
Spicy
Food was ok taste better during the week or a Friday night had the oxtail was not seasoned to take like oxtail the gravy was weak but the portion is good needed to cook a bit more. Their special chicken fried rice is good. Portion is big for a reasonable price. Try it out
I really liked this place until i got mild food poisoning
Great food and amazing service, but sometimes theres a wait time and the place can get crowded easily.
Excellent food
Excellent food, and cozy
Great food, freshly prepared
Small Restaurant which caters to the local residence;. run by Chinese mainland people, I spoke to them and they speak mandarin. Woman in charge, very mannerly, man from the kitchen, not so. Shouted at me for leaving to go outside to my car, but did not see my phone and take away food at my table. I was going to make up a 15% tip for my lunch and take out. Not even mainland china would they do that. I just returned a week ago from PRC. Service dude, service. We have been there five times and had something different every time. Our blog would have more detail. There are a few locals who have their designated seats and a local trini who provides the tunes. Food very tasty, I think, it may be natural flavor enhancers, ie: MSG. Guys better watch their BP. As with all Asian food, its cooked to order. Lunch was inexpensive and the take away was the regular price. Lunch: you get what you pay for literally. Take out: simple, was good, but too much natural flavor added, you can taste it, big time. Nothing original. On the weekends the added staff is a 5/10 because its very busy. Good Luck; remember customer service can make a business and MSG is frowned on in todays cuisine. Keep the cook in the kitchen. Cheers
Amazing food
This place is amazing if u are looking for a drink and a place to socialize... the bar is very welcoming and clean ... the owner is very kind and makes sure u enjoy your time there ... the food is the next best thing .. lunch specials for 6 bucks not to mention filling too and fresh ... the wings and fries are my favourite made crispy and well done ... they open until midnight on a Thursday night.
Food is always great, love the flavours of their spring rolls, bbq chicken wings and fried jerk chicken.
The spicy wings and chilli chicken are amazing!
This is the most banging restaurant Ive ever eaten at. The staff are great, food is great, and everything taste amazing. Never did I have to wait to get service, and everyone was polite. Fun place to eat at with friends, I definitely would recommend coming here whenever you can, especially for big events.
Amazing food and service, definitely will come back!
Always unbelievably high quality food for a great price. I honestly do not know how they do it!
Huge quantities. Cheerful servers.
Love the curry chicken roti with dahl puri
Great food, amazing service and very friendly people!
Got food poisoning from this place.
Really good, relatively inexpensive Carribean and Chinese dishes. The roti was really well done; hot, tasty, good portion size.
They are decent and affordable. Especially, at lunch. I like their jerk chicken and beans or curry goat. It is decent.
Great west indian food!
Great service and food is delicious . The atmosphere is great and order taker is very nice.
Food was great and a friendly and homey atmosphere.

Good food and friendly staff. Overall a nice place if you are not in a hurry
Love their chicken curry and roti
Best roti in scarborough
The size and food for what you pay is great. I am constantly thinking of eating there. LOVE IT. Family bar vibes
The food was OK but definitely not authentic Caribbean. More Chinese fusion
I like the food, one of the best veggie rotis I have had. Looks more like a rum shop. Today, I tried to call my order, no answer. The owner said she was on the phone with Enbridges, AC off. 32 degrees. She said she would run out to get the skins, as she had none. Could of offered me a drink? I did ask one of her children for a pop, as he wasnt old enough to serve a beer. She came back, I told her I got a pop, she charged me for that. I waited about 40 mins in total. This was my 4th time there & 4 different servers. The last one quit while we were there. I cant imagine the business this lady would get if she acted like she appreciates your business. Today was my last time.
One of the best restaurant Good food always thanks always looking forward to eat
Very cool and chill place to get Caribbean food!!!
West Indian bar/restaurant. Mostly a drinking place at night. Clean. Food is OK.
