Everything is overpriced and Baozi is subpar. Hygiene is questionable. Save your money and buy better food at T&T. Also they don't accept credit or debit card. Tax evasion 100%.
Baozi flavor is no good no more here , don’t know where to eat Baozi ,feel so sad
This shop is tucked away in the corner and have tried this place a few times. I would say that although it looks cheap, the assortment of buns are really packed with meat ranging from pork with celery, pork with pickled nappa cabbage and my favourite was pork and shrimp. I have tried their beef with onions which oozes with sweetness coming from the onions. I haven't tried their other array of foods but will try it another time. Overall, the buns are soft, the filling is substantial and is a delightful treat to satisfy that bun craving.
Really nice people, better if you speak Chinese. Man it's like a good place to go in a very cold day That's the tofu pudding btw
Nothing fancy, but authentic buns from China!!! Try their smoked dishes too. Incredible!! Place is small crowded but popular.
I came here twice and its a busy place for breakfast. Lots of take out. Its a traditional Chinese breakfast, very simple, plain and satisfying. If you are not chinese or use to this type of food, you may find it boring, so I don't recommend it for everyone. The tofu is to die for. Very soft and delicate. Tastes sweet but not overly sweet. The Buns are fresh and the price is really reasonable. Its a drop in place, so pls don't expect very good service, if so, that is one big mistake. They are friendly, and they don't serve tea. so you will buy something from their fridge.
Very affordable is the first thing that comes to mind when dining at Baozi Lin. Tried the pork and cabbage baozi and was mediocre at best. The tofu hua was very light and satisfying. Would be willing to give another filling a try sometime in the future.
Buns and tofu brain are taste good, price is ok, but service can be improve!
Hidden gem. Must try!
After eating the buns, I took out my hair from my mouth. My hair was thick and yellow. It s thinly rolled and not cheap, it s terrible
I haven t tried it, but I just want to remind you that the translation of Hanamaki in the menu photo uploaded by the store is Hanamaki? This is the translation of the Japanese name.
Getting worse. Prices are getting more expensive. Hygiene is not good either. Buy a bun at a fixed price (after tax) and there is no invoice. . You can report it directly to the tax bureau
Tiny place and good price. Authentic taste and friendly staff. Pretty much everything is good on the menu.
Just not that great tasting, have had better at plenty of other places
If you are off at 7 oclock, write 7 oclock off. If you are off at 7 oclock, write 9 oclock on the Internet. Thank you.
It tastes so bad...the stuffing has no taste, the skin is hard and stale
I ordered takeout from this restaurant. They didn t provide any cutlery. It s the worst bun restaurant I ve ever had in Toronto. The buns were either too bland or too salty and not fresh at all.
We traveled from the US and bought the baozi before we left. It tastes so good and so authentic! This is the best baozi restaurant I have ever been to in Toronto. We bought multiple types of baozi. They were so nice to write the names on the lid of the box with the position of the baozi marked in the box. They also serve other food which we have bought and enjoyed quite a lot. Great place overall!
The taste is very average, the buns are not fresh, they are not made on the same day, and they are not freshly steamed. Moreover, the environment in the store is poor, the seasonings are used up and there is no replenishment. Please close the shop as soon as possible.
So unpalatable
Great and authentic Bum shop
I tried a variety of their buns, both the vegetarian offerings as well as the beef and carrot and beef and cabbage versions. While they are tasty, Ive had better buns elsewhere. But this place beats them in terms of price, very cheap!
Do NOT eat here! Food is not good and the kitchen is NOT clean.
Almost hidden from view, its a great place to visit and try at least once. The baozi are delicious, my only concern is they tend to be fairly misshapen when buying the frozen bags.
Good taste
Wasting your time, preparing every thing extremely slow!!!!!!!!
Good value Baozi and tastes pretty good
I like their buns especially the vegetarian with egg. A little bit on the salty side. They smoked chicken leg sells out really fast. On weekend they have lamb buns that also sells out fast. Generally quick service and good prices. My go to for freshly made buns.
The beef buns are super delicious, as are the sauced pork knuckles and pork trotters
Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Value: 4/5 The baos were delicious, I would recommend asking them what they have available before ordering. I think they have a few vegetarian options too, including a red bean one (sweet). The baos taste just like homemade ones and has perfect filling to dough proportion.
Lin Best Buns
Worst service ever!
Good buns but good luck ordering If you dont speak Chinese they get very dismissive
good plastic!!!!!!!
This is a hidden gem for Buns and dumplings. Very tasty and very affordable price. You can taste the high quality and home-made food here. Highly recommended! Best buns in town!
The takeaway I ordered was steamed buns with tofu and shredded potatoes. The tofu was not given to me, just tofu, and the shredded potatoes were not given to me. Of the three things I could eat, only the steamed buns were available.
Everytime i drive up north i make my way here for some genuine hand made baozi. The owners are my kind of people, welcoming, warm and treats you like family. The pork buns are always fantastic, with an assortment of other snacks from china like wontons and pig ears. Really thankful this store exists.
Family style chinese food, good price
Very good fresh and frozen buns and dumplings. Great for when we run out of groceries, and tastes much better than those grocery store and restaurant ones.
Much much smaller than before.
Great place for handmade dumplings. Great quality and variety flavors. Staffs are very nice as well! Cash only!
Their food taste good... But becareful as you may find metal scouring pad pieces in your dumplings - just like I did. Wont be buying their dumplings anymore. Cannot risk swallowing this and cutting my throat.
Good taste
Cheap and tasty buns, though stuff run out often.
Authentic and good price
Favorite breakfast place. The steamed buns and tofu are delicious.
Steamed buns are delicious. Vegan steamed buns are our daily breakfast.
Our go to place for northern style breakfast
fine.
Authentic North East Chinese Taste, good service
The buns taste good
Not bad
The waitress is really rude (and explicitly asked for tipping when I ordered takeout). And there is no washroom.
It is located at the corner of Midland Finch. The hygienic environment inside the store is very bad...the food is open outside...I ordered a big elbow...it was bright red in color on the outside, but it didnt taste good when cut open inside! The steamed bun I ordered was the days special, which was said to be sauced pork or something. In fact, it didnt taste very good. Maybe other things were OK, but the steamed bun tasted like it was heated in a microwave because the plate was also hot... I found it when I checked out. cash only After digging around in the car, I finally got enough money...
Taste from original Chinese kitchen
Suitable for takeaway breakfast
Improved service from the last visit, but you need to get here in the morning before all the good stuff sells out.
Great taste!
Tasty buns! Great place for take outs and a quick bit to eat.
Local and traditional Chinese breakfast:) I m happy with the food and the price!
Not as delicious as before.
Nice staff, buns tasted good, very filling and great price!
The best smoked chicken legs and pork shrimp and pork Sauerkraut steamed buns
I wanted to give 0 stars, but I didnt have the option. The service attitude of this restaurant is terrible. Everyone who has been there knows that after you order the food, you bring it to the table yourself and no one will serve you. But if you want to dine in, you have to tip! ! Can you believe it! ? If you dont really want to tip, the aunt is still very polite and yells in the store, Who doesnt want to tip when you eat in the store? Tips are voluntary, not given just because you say you want to, not to mention you dont have any service. Sorry, I was your old customer before, but with your attitude, I wont come again.
real chinese food, different flavor of baozi and price is good
Conscience shop! The buns are big and cheap! It tastes great too!
Delicious buns. My favourite is the beef and carrot one.
The service attitude is extremely poor. I waited for half an hour and no one came to order. I will not go there again
Delicious and not expensive
The buns are authentic and the cold dishes are good too... do not come here for service, this place is basically a hole in the wall with a couple seats. If you want some great stuffed buns for a cheap price this is the place to go
Service is very rude. Baozi is not good.
The pork & vegetable buns were amazing. Will come back here again in the future. This place is definitely one of the best restaurants in Toronto!
cash only is a bit of a headache A very northern bun shop Side dishes, porridge, tofu curd There are also some smoked braised sauces and the like which are delicious. As for steamed buns, I think after eating so many kinds, the vegetarian ones are the best~ They sell frozen buns. You can buy a pack and take it home. You can heat it up when you want to eat it. It s very convenient~
Was so excited after the reviews to try real steamed buns. I got raw beef and dry pork. Nothx
The steamed buns are delicious and cheap, but the store is small. It is recommended to take them home to eat.
Great food
So delicious and affordable. Cash only
Its great. The buns are super big. The buns are thin and the fillings are only 1.39 each. The tofu puffs are only a little over 2 yuan. Its a conscientious store in Toronto hahaha. Ill come back next time! ! !
Very good food and good price
The frozen steamed buns taste terrible, but the fresh ones are okay -
Come to buy the frozen buns, when I open the bag at home found they were frozen in age, and, 3 of the 5 were in broken skin. The juicy from stuffing were dropped off when I re-steam it ;( Looks they save the good quality for din in so you wont complain the bad and broken buns. Its is not the right attitude though.
The buns are delicious and the price is good, but the environmental hygiene seems to be a bit of a problem...
Not bad
Like the taste
Tastes good
Could improve on the restaurant appearance. However. Price is amazing. Food is amazing. Cant beat it.
Their buns are delicious!
Just feel like eating it home-made. Quick and healthy.
Delicious buns, great price and fast service.
Good place for a quick and healthy meal of buns (if thats what youre looking for). The staff only spoke in Mandarin so it was a bit hard to communicate with them. Most of their food was pre-made. For example, the celery & dried tofu dish was just scooped out of a big tupperware container. The marinated beef was pre-made and pre-plated. They just took the plastic food wrap off it it before serving it to us. I would go here again only if I was ready to eat mainly buns for my meal. There isnt much variety on the menu but they do execute their buns dishes well. They have a specific type of bun available for each day of the week. Saw lots of people walk in to order one or two steamed buns at the counter to-go. I guess its a good place to grab a fresh bite or a meal/snack for the next day.
Authentic steamed buns, the store has a domestic feel, very good
