Food Monks in Scarborough

I DO NOT recommend. The food wasn t good quality. Unfortunately we tried to play around with regular and good tiffin and none were up to the mark. The trial tiffin was excellent but never got the same quality after. They also provided us non veg tiffin in error one day. We hoped that trial tiffin quality would be similar to their regular food but it s not even close.

The food taste is very good. The best part is we can customise our weekly menu

Worst tiffin ever. Had asked for a refund for the tiffin service. Everyday the food received was spoilt. No resposnse from the customer support team. They are just here to scam you. They just want your money. They dont even apologize for their spoilt food. They say they make it the same day but the food is made in 2-3 days advance and stored and then sent in tiffin. This had caused food poisoning to me and I had to throw their tiffin continuously every day for 15 days. Very bad taste of food. 90% of the time food is spoilt. Never go for them. FOOD POISONING CAUSED BY THEIR FOOD. ROTTEN FOOD ALL THE TIME.

Have had many tiffin services in the past and this is one of worst service ever. You guys need to understand making an online form and being fancy is not helping. Serve better. The food is always spilled, I dont think I ever got full 12 Oz food in the container. Paneer curry has 3 tiniest paneer pieces (I counted everytime), broccoli malai comes without broccoli, malai kofta is aloo curry, biryani is super-duper spicy, fish curry is salt curry, Navratna Korma is boiled veggies and the list is long. The food goes bad really fast which makes me wonder if they cook it fresh everyday. After paying for 20 meals and selecting 5 weekday meal every week the lady still keeps asking about Saturday delivery and I have to remind that its only till Friday. I dont get how and why is she so confused all the time. Plus, you have to remind them to send the menu link every time coz otherwise you will get random food. In between this I get overall 2 tiffin s less as they gave me 4 free of what they call good tiffin, god knows why as there is nothing good about it. I dint get all of them coz again she was always confused between normal/good tiffin s and the delivery days, even after me clearly selecting good tiffin s for Friday in the form. My last tiffin was on Monday but they delivered 2 packs on Friday itself coz I am sure delivering on Monday would have been a hassle for them. I switched to this as we shifted to Vaughan and my old one dint deliver there. But now we are driving twice a week to Brampton to pick food, whose 12 oz paneer curry I eat comfortably for 3 meals with chapati coz that s the quality they serve. They dont have fancy forms but they serve amazing food. May be that s what you guys should do as well, serve good food and stop wasting your customer s money

Had a trial meal today. The rotis were burnt & stale, the curries had bad smell and for the first time in my life i passed over the sweet dish. The packaging was nice, the logistics were spot on. But the core of all - the food was below par.

Hands down the worst tiffin service in GTA region. Items are missing from my tiffin atleast 2 times a week, sometimes it may be rotis or sometimes it may be some sabzi. And I have received stale food many a times. You could smell it as soon as you open the box and then have to throw it away. I have complained to them multiple times about the missing food items, but it happens every week. DO NOT OPT FOR THIS TIFFIN SERVICE !!

Whoevers looking for tiffin delivery DO NOT ask for them, the rotis are never fresh and no matter how many times they say its fresh, it wont be. Whenever youll heat them theyll become hard as rocks. So my advice dont ask for them.

I tried 2 trial meals from them and I have tried various tiffins in the past. I have a holistic opinion. Food Monks food was abundantly spicy or inedible. The Chapatis were partly burnt and stale. On the contrary, the tiffin I currently have is a lot better and home cooked. So, I would not recommend Food Monks. They are cheap but not value for sure. Hope you guys improve on that and this is an unbiased review, hoping you take it positively and work towards building customer experience as part of your work process. Thanks!

I submitted the order but never got the food delivery. They never refunded me the money even after accepting its their mistake. I followed up with them for 3 days but never got my money back. Totally unprofessional customer service. Would never recommend to anyone.

Taking tiffin service past one year. Would say good taste and always on time delivery.

I got the tiffin service, just been 1 week. The food quality and taste is really bad. When I called to complain they just kept arguing. So basically I am just stuck for 1 month. The food tastes stale and seems to be the same curry everyday. Keep the containers they use keep leaking. So in short, the food tastes bad and customer service is zero, would not recommend.

I am a big fan of these tiffin services and have hopped to many of such within Toronto. I came across Food Monk and so far, I have to say both the food and service are nice. I had issues only for 3 weeks where the food wasnt as good as my first month but when I gave them the feedback they professionally and honestly informed that their main chef had gone back home to which they apologized. This is my 3rd month and since the main chef came back from vacation the food has been tasty and nice as it was initially. Service wise, for students or even people working, this is really valuable as you get the message and can track your food and the estimate delivery time. The other thing is, they are very responsive in WhatsApp, especially Muskan who is great in terms of communicating and customer service. My food had mistakenly been delivered to other locations in my neighborhood to which they apologized and added extra days on my package. That is a good sign of customer service and taking ownership. Also, the value for money, comparing to other tiffin services, including those who only give veg and charge more than them, this is a good deal, I shall say. Working in the service industry myself, I can tell they are well trained and kind of well managed too. If Im not wrong, Food Monk has been offering services for 8 years now. Im not over hyping it, issues were there but have to say overall it has been good so far.

I paid Food Monks for two tiffins everyday they sent me one i tried calling them initially had no response however somehow i did finally got in touch with them but of no use the resolution given to me was either i pick up the food or i can get a substitute the other day. Food Monks expects you to starve for the day they forget to send you the food and wait for them till the other day when they will deliver you. even after multiple request food monks does not wants to refund you ur money nor they wanna answer ur messages. Also one of the tiffin which i recd i think that was not even meant for animals but was given to a human being. hope people read the esteem reviews online about food monks and then can definitely dare to order them.

One of the worst tiffins I have ever seen in my life and it is not only me who is saying this about food monks but they are the worst in a taste and in service as well. The trial tiffin was really awesome but the actual tiffin after a subscription you get is worst of all and 1 year ago I was their customer, at that time it was good but now it is the worst . My wife and I asked them about the refund and after talking with them over the phone for 40 minutes at the end the guy told me that there is no refund policy and the tiffin will be like this only. Moreover, one of my colleagues also ordered tiffin from them and she also faced the same issues so she literally told them that she vomited yesterday after having dinner so it was better to give a refund because of health and she got the refund. Also, I realized that when I got the call the caller ID stated satguru tiffin services so I dont know what that means.......

FOOD - If you ever have to choose between starve from hunger and order tiffin from Food Monks please choose the former. The Tiffin food is inedible, has a foul smell, even describing the food makes me go weak in my gut. In just 3 days I have had issues with raw food, foul smell, inedible food, burnt lentils. Someone needs to have special talent to make basic food look and taste terrible. SERVICE - While selling the subscription, the FOOD MONKS team were hyperactive. But now they have ghosted me, I am waiting for a supervisors call from last 2 days. The response ratio is less than 5% off the contacts attempted. SCAM - Do not get fooled by ads and branding they do on social media, it is absolutely not worth it. Its a hoax. REFUND - I have stopped my tiffin after 3 days, I have asked for a cancellation. In addition I have even offered the CSR from Food Monks team to deduct the full weeks subscription and return the remaining amount. But I am unable to reach the supervisor who has the authority to take this decision. So as now I have paid 230$ for 3 meals. DUE DILIGENCE - 99% of their tiffin services reviews are similar. Kindly do your due diligence before placing any order. AWARENESS - Also I request everyone to spread awareness around the service and quality of Food Monk Tiffin Service.

Worst tiffin ever. Sometimes food smells like it was prepared many days back. If you re-heat the food, you will see bubbles starts coming out which indicates bacteria and at the end you have to throw it out. They have two categories of tiffins: student tiffin and good tiffin. Their good tiffin is actually worst among the all. Pro: the quantity is good but it doesnt matter as you have throw food every time as it usually comes as spoiled. Just a message for food monks, if you guys continue serving food like this, you will continue losing customers.

Very first time I took trial from them at that time food came steal ,than I inform them that food was steal ,another time they send free tiffin that so nice of them. Both the tiffin came on time or before time .than I thought ok now I can took daily tiffin from them and I paid full amount for a month.,First of all delivery boy came late than after one item was missing in my tiffin. Rice were not fresh .all other items cold like an ice. I called them 6(2-3 times normal call ,4 times WhatsApp call) times to ask that what is the problem but no reply and also I messeged them on WhatsApp but no reply over there too. I was sick and not able to cook for my self and wanted to eat something homemade fresh. But I got totally opposite . I just want to ask them ,will they like if someone treats them like this???

Pathetic food They missed my service twice, each time they left a sorry message. I had to follow up with them a lot. When I found hair in my tiffin, I asked for a refund on my balance tiffins since their food was pathetic and not meeting basic hygiene standards, their supervisor told me that the hair would be from my own head and it has been more than a month but this fraudulent tiffin service refuses to work out any solution for me. But things changed in 2022 and have now gone down further in 2023; not only in terms of quality of food (daal has big chunks of onion etc.) but also in terms of sending wrong tiffin. Have always referred Food Monks to my friends but going to stop now. ---------------------------- This below review is from 2020 I am taking tiffin service from Food Monks from a long time now. I only have positive reviews for Food Monks. 1st, there are lot of varieties to choose from (both veg and non veg) along with meal customization option. Thats the main reason I am not bored of food provided by them. 2nd, the team is very professional, friendly and approachable. I remember once I had to go out for 2 weeks and I already paid for the service. I asked them to stop it for that period and start it again once I come back. They did the same and adjusted my payment accordingly. Also, recently I opted for healthy meal option and I asked them to provide rotis instead of rice for 3 days and they adjusted it. Overall, Food Monks is one of the best tiffin service providers in all aspects.

Prices are genuine and delivery is on time. Most importantly, whenver I faced any kind of issues, they have handled it well to my satisfaction and quickly.
