Great food and service.gotnthe beef chow mein with soy milk.
a disappointed dish, it is just a mix of salt, for a Hong Kong style restaurant, it is missing the fundamental wok-hei, and the soup is diluted too much
Pleasantly surprised at how well-done all of their dishes are! Ordered beef chow fun and XO-style noodles and both were delicious at such great prices! The value is unmatched. Definitely recommend to anyone craving HK food without breaking the bank at all.
Curry beef brisket noodle is ok …. Nothing special … $15 for the combo. Milk tea is good tho.
I came here to the food court yesterday and ordered the thousand island pork on rice. I ordered the same dish from Great Fountain Fast Food because I was curious. I also had help to eat them. There was a marked difference between the two dishes in terms of portion size and philosophy. The dish is exactly as you would expect but may be a bit spartan. It comes with a drink, white rice and the pork on top with sauce. The dish at Great Fountain Fast Food (their competitor in the same food court) included a bit more but was a few dollars more. The competitor's meal included the same items but also soup. The skill and preparation gone into the dish at Silver Fountain appeared to generally be less than Great Fountain. For example, the pork's fried texture and sauce at Great Fountain was clearly superior to the Silver Fountain's thousand island pork because it seemed to indeed have more wok hey as other reviews have mentioned. But Silver Fountain's dish had slightly more pork in their dish and cost less. The rice at Great Fountain was superior because it was a simple egg fried rice whereas Silver Fountain only provides white rice. The rice was also topped with some Bok Choy and comes with soup whereas Silver Fountain does not. The lemon tea at Great Fountain had more lemons and a stronger tea flavour compared to their Silver Fountain. I am sympathetic towards the thin margins these small stalls have and I am pleasantly surprised by what they can provide. The dish at Silver Fountain had a lot of rice and a little bit more pork than Great Fountain. If the margins permit, I think the dish could benefit some a little bit of green in terms of vegetables or maybe even some chopped pickles in the sauce for colour. The dish at Silver Fountain was a dollar or two less than their competitor and is priced fairly. The service was good and pleasant. I heard the gentleman in front of me picking up his order saying multiple times that he was very hungry suggesting he wanted a little bit more. I can't be sure, but I think the worker at Silver Mountain comforted him gave him a bit more food. The lady at the front was also nice and warmer when I was ordering and picking up the food when compared to Great Fountain. The food quality is probably a bit better at Great Fountain but Silver Fountain stall strikes me as incredibly hard working, honest and looks out for the common man looking for good value.
We tried this place because Great Fountain Fast Food was closed on Mondays. For under $10 a meal it ain’t bad but not great either. If you want something quick then it’s fine. We found the meat portions are less and they give you more noodles/rice.
This fast food has a wide menu and pleasing service. The Vegetarian delight rice noodle soup ($8.50+) is a big serving with plenty of veggies, mushrooms, tofu and more. Tasty and come with a HK Milk tea. Competitive pricing.
Like to order the food there. The menu has a wide varieties. I love the pork chop noodles and beef Brisket noodles so much. the set dinner menus are very reasonable cost too. i ordered dinner for 6 a few times when i have visitors. The person answered the calls is very friendly. The utensils that provided are in a package. I think it was great idea as it is safe and clean especially in covid time. I recommend this place.
Grilled Chicken Chop Rice. It doesn t look good and taste bad. The sauce seems to be made with soy flour. Probably the worst chicken chop spaghetti with roasted sauce Ive ever tasted.
Price is a bit high for food court. This stall is 10 Times better than Great Fountain though. Overall, this stall is my go to. Recommended dishes
We tried silver fountain Chinese food for the first time tonight and it was amazing. We ordered the dinner for 3, combo 3A, that came with deep fried crispy chicken, sweet and sour pork and stir fried veggies with garlic. It also came with steamed rice and their daily soup. We also ordered the beef tomato and eggplant and grouper over crispy egg noodles. Everything was delicious!!!!!! Besides the steamed rice that came with the beef tomato and some garlic veggies we have no left overs it was that good. We did have to wait a little while for our order cause there were approx 4-5 people who ordered ahead of us but it was well worth the wait. Cant wait to go back again and try other dishes. Would highly recommend silver fountain fast food to anyone who wants good homestyle Chinese food.
#202 on the menu, the szechuan dandan noodles are the best!!
This is one of my go to places for take-out chinese food. Its in a local food court that is very busy with people coming for takeout and eating in. Their singapore noodles are great as is their lemon tea. The staff are friendly and were patient as there was such a large selection. Thumbs up!
Generous with the overall rating but the wok hey is seriously lacking in both the rice and noodle dishes. Soup was bland too.
Good food.
Dear Readers. My first experience was during a time visiting my old acquaintances. They highly recommend this place due to the price. First expression from the layout its very shabby. I have low expectations already. But when I managed to arrived home with take out boxs. To my surprise the braised beef with rice were delicious. Especially enjoyed the fact that they didnt add to much salt nor used cheap cuts. For $10.25 with tax. Its far more tasty than it looked. Have low but realistic expectations. Most places will be charged between $15-25 per meal. I can see why they highly recommend this place. The location its actually pretty good for this area of community. Although itll be difficult for me to visit again unless its an special occasion. In conclusion I would come here again for casual eat. Far better than McDonalds. Heres a tip. Bring cash. Decor: 0.5/10 Flavor: 8/10 Satisfaction: 8.5/10
Only cash. Why ? No receipts why ? I cant prove I ate there. Other than that the food was decent. Parking: Limited spots Wheelchair accessibility: Maybe four spots
I tried this place for the first time and felt the quality isnt there compared to the rest in Scarborough.
The ordering service staff are very friendly
Hong Kong-style/Cantonese-style fast food, most dishes are priced between $8 and $15. The taste of the food is very good for me, an office worker who comes for lunch. I usually choose dishes around $8, which is $10 after tax, and comes with lemon tea or iced soy milk.
I ordered the dry-fried beef river. I felt that there was not enough oil, it was a bit dry, and the taste was bland for my taste. The price is quite affordable. I feel like I m still not used to drinking Hong Kong-style milk tea, so I didn t touch it again after two sips. But please note that this store is cash only, and other payments cannot be made.
Came across this Gem because of a friend. I absolutely loved this food. I had the beef fried rice and rice noodles with beef. Great prices, huge portions and tastes delicious. The lady at the counter was very friendly! This place is out of the way for me, so I truly wish they had delivery or was with Uber eats and door dash. I would be eating from here all the time.
Good food at pretty reasonable prices. I compared the same menu items from the neighbouring restaurant, and found that Silver Fountain is more to my liking, overall. Rare 5 stars from me! Food

The best Chinese restaurant in Scarborough no cap
hidden gem A must visit if you re craving Chinese food Food
It used to be super good with a huge portion of food, but it s been gone down lately. I bought a fried pork rice and another fish tofu rice. What I got was 90% of rice and 10% of the meat/veggies. It used to be like half half but now it s just filled with rice mostly a little disappointed to be honest
Its amazing how the food will capture your pathos... This is an honest joint ...filling sumptuous and no airs. Great place to come and eat at the dynasty food court.
I have yet to find a dish that wasnt good. On occasion, I feel like getting something different, and havent been disappointed by anything Ive chosen or the lady at the counter has suggested. Reliably good food, but its a food court, so with all the things going around, I do take out.
I personally favour Silver fountain a touch more than Great fountain. The prices are about a dollar cheaper, but I find them to be more consistent. If you frequent this food court, I would advise giving them a try to compare for yourself. The eggplant with garoupa on fried noodles is excellent.
I quite like this place. Portions are good. Flavour is good. Price is fair. And you can get ice lemon tea as your meal drink. It could use a bit more wok hey and the fried noodles could be crispier, but overall, they provide a quick, affordable and satisfying meal.
Great food and nice lady at the front
It s a simple food court at Dynasty Center with a set of fast food stalls for Chinese food. Silver Fountain Fast Food caters to students and nearby locals with some affordable eats. We tried a set menu which is reasonably priced coming with soup and rice. As for flavour, I ve certainly at better elsewhere for shrimp & eggs and fish w/ celery but the saving grace is portion size.
First time going here for lunch to take out. Ordered beef w/bitter melon on rice and got a complimentary lemon tea. When I came home to eat I was disappointed ònly 2 thin slices of beef
Love Cantonese food and my own people. Owner is very friendly
I liked the fish noodle soup but the portions and quality seem to have deteriorated
Loved the customer service from the owner. Shes such a sweetheart. Food is good value. Bought 2 dishes for $8+HST each Cash only though.
Excellent pork belly and preserved vegetables on rice. Very kind owner who gives good recommendations.
The staff is very nice. Classic cantonese Chinese food court style food. Cash only
5 star. Hard working, huge menu, freshly made, great prices, and open 7 days. The haters gonna hate but dont hate on this place! Eat here and you will be pleased as I was !
This was the first time here and the food was absolutely great!
Super pleased with this place. I got the herbed chicken (Basically the yellow/Hainan chicken) and minced pork with eggplant in fish sauce. The portion was so HUGE for the chicken. I am shocked at how much meat they gave!!!! It will last for another day. The food was decently cooked and flavourful and lady at the front is so pleasant and puts up with my subpar TVB learnt Cantonese haha.
Top Grade Jade
Foods were okay.
good place for pickup dinner. good taste.
Slow, over fried eggplant, hard rice. Will not recommend
Kids loved the Shanghai style noodles with shrimp. Everything is cooked to order so please be patient.
Food tastes good however the portions vary from medium or small.
Good place for a quick lunch. Chicken with rice is good. I also like the stewed lamb with noodle.
Dan Dan mein is great here.
I find that the food at this place is way too salty. The decor is very bland and boring.Their service is satisfactory and the prices are confusing since they are different in every visit so the prices are different from the advertised price.
