Tonight was the first time that I ve ever been to this place. First off, the inside was very small and loud, they had a band night, and a bar. There was a $6-8 band cover per person (I forget the actual price). The food was severely overpriced for a very underwhelming taste. The staff, however, was nice. We ordered quite a bit ($120 bill): 1. Pancit it was okay, not a lot of meat and veggies in the serving. 3/10 rating. 2. Garlic fried rice it looked and tasted like a freshly made rice topped with soy sauce. It literally did not taste anywhere near what I ve ordered so I asked to switch it with plain rice instead, which was the exact same rice without soy sauce as toppings. There was not a single piece of garlic found in the plate. I could make better garlic fried rice at home, sadly. 0/10 rating. 3. Pork sinigang it tasted like boiled water with added cups and cups of salt and tamarind powder with chewy pork with tons of fat and a couple of eggplants and long beans. Once again, I could make a better version of this at home. 2/10. 4. Sizzling sisig bangus it s okay but I ve had better, from Marcelina s. 5/10 rating 5. Liempo it was basically grilled and straight out of the grill, dry as a soil. 1/10 rating. Overall, we were extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the food. I wish the chef would ve tried harder to make better food. It s safe to say that we had TONS of leftovers. I prefer Marcelina s better for the same price and better ambiance. Sadly, I won t come back here again and now I know why I ve never heard of this place before.

Amazing music, the Band was terrific. The food not so much and only had 3 servers attending therefore it too to long to get looked after. We had to keep calling the servers to get more drinks.

If you want to have a great time, Bistro Manila is a great place. They have great Filipino food, great entertainment and the service is top-notch.

The live Filipino music band is cool but youll be yelling at each other to have any conversation here. One interesting thing my friend noticed was that all the Corona was made in Canada, but they still charge you a special import price for it. Ill let you be the judge

Very yummy Filipino food, decent price for the portions that you get. We went on a weekday and service was great. They do have live bands on weekends ehich is nice as well.

I just went there and it was terrible. We ordered several food and it was all bad. The fried calamari had an inch of batter, the pork sisig was swimming in oil, and the fried chicken had too much MSG it was overwhelming. I dont know where they got the vocalist for the live band but he was out of tune the whole night and the guitarist kept inappropriately staring at one of the girls in our group to the point that she got so uncomfortable and unsafe she voiced out her concerns to the management but they didnt do anything and so he just kept on staring.

The lady server who wear an eyeglasses was very rude. She is also unapproachable and gave us an unpleasant look coz when we came in, we directly sat on the table and she was very rude the way she talked that we are not supposed to do that. So I said sorry but the way she approached to us when we ordered was unfriendly and gave us rude look. I mean people made a mistake and if you dealing with the customer she should say it in a nice way, I did say sorry but she is still very rude. She shouldnt work this kind of field as she is unprofessional, unapproachable and unfriendly. We are not coming back anymore to this place and I will not recommend this to my friends.

Omg such bad service. One of the worst pinoy foods ever though Filipino food in general is just not good at all and not well received by non filipinos. Everything so pricy now especially. Manager operators very snotty stuck up. Extemely salty terrible salted peanuts. Well stick to other spots. Rip off.

The best pork Sisig and pork Sarabasab in Scarborough! I have been coming or ordering here for almost the past decade. It is always our late-night go to place to order from. You have to try their Pork Sarabasab.

Food is always great especially their sisig, lechon kawali, tokwat baboy, calamari and the sansrival with ice cream dessert. Servers are very friendly. Owners mingle with the customers. Great bands and acoustic singers. We drive from Mississauga to Scarborough just to visit Bistro every Fri or Sat whenever we are available. Its my go-to night spot.

Bistro Manila is Good place to spend with friend especially when they re live bands. I always invite our friends to join us. All I hear from them that they had fun and enjoyed the food and live bands. Like we always do. Last time we went there was Valentines Day. Me and my husband had a great time with acoustic music background while enjoying our food and drinks. (Nakakakilig ang music nila that day) We might say that we re regular customer now Thank you so much for such an amazing service Bistro Manila.

The best Filipino restobar in town! The pork sisig is superb. The pricing is reasonable for the quality. We were given such excellent service by the staffs. I have to say that I also liked the live band, while I sipped on my drinks. Do yourself a favor and visit Bistro Manila in Scarborough. This place is awesome and perfect for a full filipino cuisine experience! They have great selection of your all-time Filipino foods; my personal favorite is the sarabasab! Best one I ve ever tasted. We often get take outs from this place too. Not only they have delicious food but also they are a great place for entertainment. They have live music which I say is an important part of filipino culture in terms of dining! Overall, really recommended restaurant with great and friendly staff

Funny story actually. Basically just came here to watch my sisters band perform for St. Patricks Day. Ended up having the best date night ever! Parking: Overflow parking in the next plaza over.

Bit disappointed, my first time ordering from there (afternoon on a weekday - not busy by any means). I should have taken the before photo of the lumpia I ordered for take out, when I bit into it it was undercooked (based primarily on texture, and appearance). I called and advised that I would be coming back and if they can replace it with a new one. When I came back, showed them the lumpia they agreed, and took it back. The photo below is what I received - which looks like a refried/ burnt version of what I returned. Giving it a 2 star because the sisig is decent and enjoyed eating it. Recommendation to their service staff, when a customer has to come back and return food, wait again for the food they already paid + tipped for, consider compensation through food or something on the house to offset dissatisfaction.

Was just at Bistro Manila tonight looking forward to great music and food, however, it didnt turn out well. Right from the get go the waitress gave us a booth closest to the door where we would not have been able to see the band. There was only a handful of people there, but they said all the tables were reserved. We left upset and very hungry but decided to call them once outside to see if we could reserve a table. It turns out that there are no reservations after 9:00; we were there at 9pm. We talked to the manager about it and she said there has been problems with some of the staff basically discriminating against some people. Suffice to say, we will not go there ever again. Its sad because I was there many years ago and I only had good memories being there. I pray they will change, but unfortunately its too late for us.

Been to this place thrice. I love their food. They make the best sisig. This is the place to go if you want to watch live bands. Reminds me so much of back home. I just wish they have more servers especially on the weekend as this place can get really busy, staff are friendly otherwise.

Great authentic Filipino food

Though the ambience of the restaurant and its atmosphere is great with great Filipino comfort dishes. I do, however, find it hard to see 2 lovely ladies running around on what seems to be a busy Friday night. Coming from the food/customer service industry myself, my heart went out for the two ladies tonight as they seem to be scrambling around and running to the back to grab the food that needs to be run as the restaurant was full. I can t help but suggest that the management should see to it with their staff. To have a food runner or some type of aid that can support the Back of House and Front of House achieve the pinnacle of a great service. For example, there were a few things that were missed tonight: receiving one set of cutleries for a guest of two and a drink ordered that was forgotten. Something that could have been avoided if there was an extra body around the peak of service (eg. server assistant). So yes, I have to give the restaurant a 4 star-review, not because of the staff s performance but rather the management s lack of care for their people. Otherwise, great atmosphere & we really loved the live entertainment with the band tonight.

I have been to this bar many times and the food is delicious. However, one major drawback was the restaurants air conditioning, which was set to full blast. While its great to have a comfortable environment, the frigid temperature made it uncomfortable for customers to stay for an extended period. I found myself rushing through my meal to escape the cold.

Friday Evening 10.13.2023 First time we ate @ Bistro Manila. We ordered the Bicol Express was a bit salty. Garlic Fried Rice taste good & the Buttered Steam Vegetable was so plain, lots of Butter Atmosphere was okay, however they re blocking the view outside. They should relocate the Bar area on the side towards the wall, to make the place brighter & spacious. Thank you. . Just a suggestions Vegetarian options: They should add more Filipino Dish like Kare- Kare. Taro leaves with coconut eg: Laing Dish
