Floga Estiatorio and Event Space in Scarborough

My first visit to Floga was as part of a celebration of life in honour of a relative. I had heard good things about this place, so I was expecting a positive experience and I wasnt disappointed. As soon as I entered the front door, I saw an older Greek looking gentleman and instantly knew he was the owner. He was just to be to aware of all details and attentive to everything to be anything but the owner. So, I introduced myself to George and asked if I could have a picture with him. Hence, the Octopus, which is proudly displayed in one of the pictures for your benefit. The decor is basic and arm, with a european feel based on wood frame and kissed with a hint of elegance brought about by the use of wall enclaves, individually lit. The spacious layout, well equipped bar, and efficiently designed components add to the sense that the operator is not only experienced, but also focused on providing a pleasant customer experience. If you are health conscious, I suggest you dont order the fried breaded sole. It is delicious, but extremely oily and has more breadcrumbs than fish. The chicken with tsasiki sauce is definitely my preferred dish. Also, the pita bread with eggplant dip.or humus is very tasty. The salad was well dressed and fresh. The garlic bread was delicious, but I prefer more garlic and also tomato chunks, like Italian bruschetta. I would love to work on some dish suggestions with the owner and maybe pick up some tips along the way. The reason I didnt give 5 stars for service is because we had two waitresses. The Greek one was good, but the other one was short with me and made a sarcastic remark she shouldnt have made in front of group I was sitting with. But, she looked like she had a rough life and looked tired. Still, thats no excuse, and that sort of thing does take from the experience. I do plan to go back to try the Octopus and also give the waitress a second chance. After all, shouldnt everyone have a second chance? I may adjust my ratings based on my next visit, stay tuned. The venue is easy to get to and close to highway 401 ramp. I suggest you either drive straight off the ramp onto William Ketchum and follow it up to Progress Avenue, where you can turn right and then turn left before reaching Kennedy road. Otherwise, youll have to turn left at progress where there is traffic approaching the intersection and also waiting to turn left. Youre welcome. This is a great place for a group gathering, family dinner, or even meeting. If you go with a romantic date, be sure to pick a table in a quiet section, preferably by the window. The open space carries sound, such as laughter. Yup, there was some loudness.

The best place to eat nice Greek food. The people there were very polite and the place is very clean.

Forever my fav Greek food resto in the GTA, and that s saying something. The food here is amazing, well priced, and the staff are always kind. Always a really nice atmosphere- it can be loud, so bring some ear plugs if that s not for you.

Good Food!

Still to this date these people know how to run a good restaurant. Service has also improved over the two years we have been visiting. Hopefully, this restaurant does well and stays open for a long time. The quality of the food is good and the taste is authentic Service can be a bit more refined. But it was courteous, responsive, and respectful. The speed of service was surprisingly fast and the intervals between courses were managed perfectly. From start to finish. They were hospitable and all the servers and hosts had a positive attitude.

We attended Floga for our staff holiday dinner this year, and were not disappointed! The staff was very welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in, to when we left. The restaurant was extremely clean and well decorated. There were generous portions of food and the prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend it for a holiday dinner or any other event.

A few of us had dinner at Floga a week ago Friday. We were greeted immediately by a friendly hostess and shown to our table, which was a round booth (we loved it). Our server Niko was excellent, joked and gave us good recommendations. We enjoyed our food very much, from the appetizers (various dips and kolokiftedakia) to the main dishes. Generous portions and excellent selection of sides. Im always very happy to find Horta on the menu! Although we were full, we couldnt resist trying some desserts. The Baklava, Ravani, and Portokalopita were all delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Staff was amazing We had the seafood platter to share,saganaki,tarama,chicken skewers and a mousaka to share All delicious but mousaka had a sweet taste to it not sure if that was a mistake that day Service was amazing too

good morning. i recently sent a request online for a catered event for 60 peoplet for an early date in february 2025. the website stated that i would be sent an email/I would be contacted within 48 hours about my request. this did not happen. i then followed up by phone on monday december 4, 2024 to see if my request had been accepted? the nice woman on the phone ( sorry. i did not get her name ) found the request. she took the time to get my name and number and said that she would have catering call me back at around 16:30 on 04 december 2024. again this did not happen. this has now taken a week ! and still no one has contacted me. i and we are very disappointed in the level of service that has not been provided. yes i understand we are all busy but the above is totally unacceptable

This place has a great atmosphere and great service, Nico was a wonderful server and gave great recommendations for their best dishes. The grilled octopus was super tasty and so was the sea bass. Would recommend 10/10.

Came here with a few close friends to celebrate getting a job Ive been chasing for months. The food was delicious and the service even better. I believe we were served by Niko (?) and he was extremely helpful with recommendations and pairings. I highly recommend coming here for get-togethers or celebrations. Order from a wide variety of starters then talk to your server about best sides & platters to get. We got the BBQ platter with an extra side of lamb chops per Nikos suggestion. He was right on the money when he said wed definitely want more lamb chops after trying them from the platter. Keep in mind this is not a budget friendly place for casual dining but thats okay, Floga isnt trying to be something its not. The bill will be fairly hefty depending on your order but the quality and service are there to match it. To best enjoy your night out, dont nickle and dime the menu but rather talk to your server to find out whats best. I am very happy I chose to take my friends here to celebrate this milestone and I will definitely be returning in the future to celebrate whatever comes next.

We had a get together with 15 people on Saturday afternoon. From start to finish, it was a great experience for all of us. Person who took us to the table to the waitress were very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. We are already planning our next get together at Floga

Great service from Niko and the food was delicious. We got the lamb shank, pork rotisserie, mussels, moussaka (eggplant lasagna), and seafood pasta with garlic cream sauce. We enjoyed everything, specially the seafood pasta with cream sauce. Niko was an attentive and warm server, and the restaurant was spacious and well decorated.

Amazing experience with take out. Dealt with Melina and Bill. Outstanding customer service Food was incredible, hot and delicious. Everything was amazing thank you for a wonderful meal and experience. We highly recommend Floga. 10++++we will definitely try Dinner in the restaurant for sure.

Visited this venue for lunch with a relative. The venue was very spacious and the food was amazing.

The food was outstanding....especially the kontosouvli. We were a party of 7 and everyone enjoyed our meals....all something different But the service by our most attentive waiter, Niko, was what made the experience outstanding. He was engaging & knowledgeable and helped us all order meals that we enjoyed. We all said the same thing on the way out....well be back

The service RICO gave us was incredible. RICO took his time to answer our questions and gave us options. Definitely a reason to come back . Food was delicious with large portions. The atmosphere was quiet with beautiful Greek music.

This was for a catering service of chicken and pork souvlaki and salad, rice and potatoes for 25 people. We picked up the food it was ready and hot, good portions. Everything was delicious and a huge tub of tzatziki and pita included. Will order from here again definitely! The service on the phone was polite and she made recommendations for me. Next is to go here for dinner soon!

This is a poor excuse of a restaurant. We come here often for dinner and we always order gyro plate. When trying this time we were denied staying it was only a take out item. I have a picky eater and this is all my child eats here. I then went to order it at takeout and the worker denied me to order. I now have a child sitting at table not able to eat anything. To make it worse the server went and told the owner that we were dine in customers before we got a chance to even go over to take out side. I tried to speak to manager to explain situation but he also declined my order. This is poor customer service. We will never come again.

I placed an order online in the am, basically when it opened and it was a simple order which consisted of a regular rice and regular potatoes. It was to go with a picnic that I prepared for myself and some coworkers that day. When we began to eat we all noticed that the rice and potatoes had gone bad(they were sour and had a cream like liquid on them) it was nasty. I had to then run around looking for some food to replace them which in turn took me away from enjoying the picnic with my friends that I was hosting. I have reached out to Floga to inform them of this incident and see if they could possibly resolve the issue but I have yet to hear back from them. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Unfortunately I no longer recommend this establishment to anyone. It used to be a fav but this ruined it for me. Eat at your own risk!!!

Was not happy at All had an expresso martini and it was absolutely horrible the calamari was nasty. And there fried octopus was tasteless... moral of the story best part about the whole this was the free bread

Perhaps it might get loud when full, we don t like loud places. But the decor was lovely and we had a wonderful waiter, Niko!

I was there with my family for Thanksgiving, love the restaurant its so beautiful and the decor is very very nice. Food was very good. Seafood platter was amazing, red snapper cooked perfectly so is the grilled octopus... Lastly our wonderful waitress the Asian lady, super nice, top notch service, very attentive, she made me like a super star in front of my family. Were all agree its like dine in at a 7 star fine dinning. Floga we will be back.

I was very skeptical but ultimately incredibly and pleasantly surprised by the taste, value and service. For just over 30 people, including 5 bottles of wine (5*$34), HST and 18% tip, the bill was just under $1000. We had the lunch menu and everyone chose what they wanted to eat. Anna was fantastic!! The food was all delivered with 20-30 minutes. One server for 30+ people. Everyone loved the food, and the venue. If I could give 6 stars I would. I wouldn t hesitate to recommend this restaurant. I know longer live in Scarborough,, but if I did, this would be our gathering place. Lastly, the proportions were excellent as most people couldn t finish their plates and few took home boxes. Vegetarian options: We have a few dietary restrictions and everyone seemed to appreciate and find options to their liking. Parking: At lunch on a Friday, there was plenty of parking.

I visited Floga today for the first time today for dinner. The service was 10/10. The food far surpassed my expectations - chef s kiss! Don t mention the service - Nicko, our server, was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs. This is definitely a restaurant to visit with your partner, family, or friends!

10/10 Steak and salad!

Not a good experience at all. Partly coz fish market is right at entrance. The octopus smell got in nose and made me want to leave . Was not able to enjoy my meal at all. Our waiter was very annoyed with our questions when we asked pertaining to our dietary restrictions. Not a lot of options for vegetarians. Bathroom was ok.

Such a consistent experience every time. Never leave disappointed whether it is dine in or take out. Servers are super pleasant especially Niko. Has a great sense of humor, makes good suggestions, very respectful in not interrupting or rushing us. Highly recommend it if you want authentic delicious Greek food.

Floga Estiatorio and Event Space does not serve Classic, Chicken, nor Pork Gyros Wraps or Dinners if you dine-in their restaurant!!! It s not even on their menu!!! There are no Greek Restaurants that do not serve Gyros Wraps or Dinners if you dine-in, but make them available for takeout!!! This policy does not make any sense whatsoever!

Didnt have veggie options at catered event

My girlfriend and I visited Floga for dinner last Sunday. It was our second time there in the last couple of months and both times the food, service and ambiance has been nothing but superb. Niko, our waiter, was incredibly attentive, recommended some great dishes to try, and ensured that my girlfriends drinks werent too sweet, just the way she likes it. We had the Poseidons seafood medley with the sea bass and loved it. The dolmades and ravani for dessert were also on point. Well definitely be back. Thanks Niko!

Great food here! They have the best pork souvlaki sticks, don t order the souvlaki dinner. Get the sticks and order salad with them. Their Greek salad is great, we typically order appetizers and not main meals. Great food .oh and it s a Greek restaurant, you may want to avoid the pasta for pasta go to an Italian restaurant.

I see so many great reviews on this place but that means those people had great experiences here. Happy for them We eat out a lot and I rated many places. I can t say this experience was good at all. Not sure why we ordered pasta but all 3 types we got had zero flavours. Like they didn t have salt or garlic. I never had such poor quality food at a Greek restaurant. TBH - they way they sat us- the waitress was going to let us sit at a round table cuz there was 4 of us, but the owner I think another woman touch her and showed her a table in the back, I just got such a negative vibe from her - Maybe they thought we are from India or Pakistan and treated us with this fake-like attitude ,maybe to tell us not to come back? We are Guyanese and know about cooking and flavourful foods. Very sorry we came here but not ever again. It was a Birthday dinner too so not impressed at all.

Usually we visit this restaurant. It was amazing. Today we went for lunch. Dip was good. Calamari didn t cook well and row smell and shrimp pasta also shrimp didn t cook well. They disappointed today. I never go anymore

Meh. Im Greek and know good Greek food. The first couple of times it was pretty good, better than Jimmy the Greek, the last time I went a couple days ago it wasnt good. The complimentary garlic bread was burnt and the pita bread was dry and stale. The saganaki had a strange aftertaste and the tzatiki didnt taste very flavourful. The Greek salad was very wet and over dressed. The avgolemono soup had no flavour. Add some salt at least. Its expensive here so you would expect top notch Greek food and its honestly not that good and definitely not worth the price. Save your money. The decor is nice. Wont be back.

Nothing short of a 5 star hotel venue As for space it is very specious very accessible, super clean and staff are nothing short of amazing, very attentive and very careful with every approach, making sure that every need to the smallest details are well taken care of. As for pictures I was hosting and busy running around amongst guest to which I didnt have a chance to take pictures of plates, but trust me when I say you will not be disappointed for choosing FLOGA for your next Must Try place for dining. Niko is the kindest server

I went to Floga for a birthday dinner on Saturday with my family. There were lots of people, and our service was not good. No one came to check on us or ask what we wanted to drink or eat for a long time. No one came around for refills either. Ive been to this restaurant many times, but this was the first time it was disappointing. The whole party wasnt happy, and our food was cold.

This restaurant was an amazing experience we had a good time! We went twice in the space of about 2 weeks and both times the service was excellent the food was amazing I cant wait to go back!

Ordered off the summerlicious menu. Not too expensive and the selection was good. Restaurant is large and the decor has a good vibe to it. I ordered the chicken souvlaki, dip sampler, and baklava. My friends ordered the lamb and all said it was good. All was tasty but the dessert was amazing.

Nice lovely place for eating out with family and friends, we enjoy the summerlicious menu Parking: There is not too much parking but just enough for a few if youre lucky enough.

If I could give no stars i would. This is the 4th time Ive come to this restaurant and every time I order an item theyre always sold out. Worst experience ever. The wait staff should communicate with the kitchen so they can tell customers if something is sold out and not let them know 15 min after theyve taken the order.

We always went to this restaurant and loved it So, we decided to do our mother 90th birthday party there. It was the best decision, food was great, place classy , portions sooo big , everything we ordered was so delicious They gave us a private beautiful place in the restaurant, they accommodated us with some waiters to be just for our party . Beyond EXCELLENT customer service. We were a big group over 40 people & had a room reserved and the servers were great with a big smile they were not frustrated with all the group requests. Everyone in the group loved.. loved the food. Lamb chops were delicious & huge portion. Chicken Sovlaki was marinated perfectly & all the food was cooked to perfection Even the guests that ordered Salmon loved it. Definitely its a famous place for a reason. Its a must go to place. The problem was the washrooms was a mess & we told them few times & they still didnt address it.

I was there with my daughter and friends. It took half an hour to take our orders. When I asked the lady , she told me it s because you changed your seat. She was kind of yelling at me that you changed your seat and we are busy and short staff.

Great atmosphere and staff! Very large space to accommodate big groups. Nice selection of menu items especially the fresh fish and octopus. Meal was good but not reminiscent of the souvlaki from Greentown which sets the standard imo. Still definitely worth a lovely meal and is a gem for finer dining in the area. Best to make reservations for the weekend as they are booked up quickly. Oh and there is an elevator to the lower level which is fantastic! Loved the accessibility for my elderly parents who didnt need to tackle stairs to get to the restrooms. Thank you!

Greek food is not in our wheel house, but we were craving Greek food for a while Serendipity had it that we found Floga! Right from the moment we were seated, Niko, our server took the best care of us: guiding us with spot-on recommendations after getting to know us; charismatic and kind. Best of the best. Thank you so much, Niko! The lamb dishes were fantastic, heaping with generous sides and brimming with aromatic flavours. We tried traditional accompaniments like horta and spanakorizo. The portions were plentiful, such that we needed 2 take-home containers. But of course, there is always room for dessert, especially when it is a homemade moist and robust spiced cake like the karidopita. We will return again! And, bring our dancing shoes on Saturday! I m disappointed, this place has been great on my previous orders. Just ordered two pita wraps both were missing tomatoes, had no T sauce, chicken was burnt on the outside undercooked inside. Threw it in the garbage. Uber gave me $5 back :( so annoyed

You would never know from looking at the outside but the interior is amazing. Makes you feel like you re by the water even on a cloudy day. We have been here and ordered from here many times because the food is always fresh and very consistent. We haven t tried anything we haven t liked yet. Of course we also come back for the service. Every time we have been here the service had been wonderful. The people are so friendly and warm - tonight we were served by Niko and it was no different. He was very friendly and attentive, he made us laugh and feel welcome, what more could you ask for?

The food was sooo delicious well served and clean. Customer service was amazing Niko took care of us and we had a great dinner with his services. I recommend Niko as your server.

It started as the waiter didnt want to seperate the bills and came to our table with one bill for 8 people and asked us to divide it by 8 if we are too lazy to calculate how much everyone needed to pay. When I asked him that this is the waiters job to seperate the bill and get back to us with a proper receipt he said its too late. Afterwards we see we got charged for bread that comes with our meal (always been free)... When asked to pay we were handed the payment terminal with the waiter already putting the tip amount desired which I had to ask him to go back as I wanted to decide how much I wanted to give myself. Initially he acted as if he didnt understand and I had to adjust the paymemt terminal myself. Many more reasons why we believe our night out with friends ended up with a bad taste. Hurts more as Floga is a place we went with family for all our events. We will not be eating here again.

I go to floga every 3 weeks. And I order the same thing every time. Gyro dinne. And to be lied to from mgmt right to my face that we dont do that meal here. But I could order it from take out. Then the excuse it wasnt ready. Unacceptable from this management team then they try to blame the server and say she was wrong. She was telling me what mgmt said to her.

Amazing experience, very nice elegant resturaunt. 10/10 for me! I went there with my friend and it was our first time. Its a very high dining establishment with prices that are very affordable. I found it to be an exquisite experience and I will be going back. Perfect for impressing a date or just going to take family and friends for an amazing dinner. The waiter was so accommodating and helped us figure out exactly what we would desire based on our palate and requests. After we finished the meal and appetizers I was very impressed at the cost. I recommend this resturaunt to absolutely every and anybody who wishes to have a fine dining experience. After our meal was finished our waiter gave us a free Greek desert for our patronage!! Went back to this place for my birthday they dont provide a birthday treat like most restaurants do however our waiter NIKO was great and attentive food is good . The inside is not what you would expect from the outside, very spacious and bright. Live music was good. Will def return. Try the baked eggplant dish so good!

Floga is undeniably a beautifully built restaurant with a pristine ambiance. The interior design is elegant and clean, setting a sophisticated tone for the dining experience. However, while the aesthetics are impressive, the food unfortunately did not match the level of this amazing-looking establishment. The dishes lacked the finesse and flavor one would expect from such an upscale setting. The chef and kitchen personnel could benefit from additional training, particularly in the art of eye-catching presentation. Each plate should be a work of art that complements the restaurants upscale atmosphere. Moreover, the serving sequence could use some attention, especially considering that Floga is owned by a seasoned restaurateur. The flow of the meal felt disjointed at times, which detracted from the overall dining experience. On a positive note, the bartender at Floga was nothing short of spectacular. The drinks were expertly crafted and perfectly complemented the atmosphere of the restaurant. The bartenders skill and attentiveness stood out and added value to the visit.

This is our go to restaurant with our family for years. Food is always amazing...however there was an issue on Mothers Day this past weekend. Our family always orders the gyro dinner - not on the menu, but we can always order it to dine in. We had a large group that Sunday and at least 5 people in our party wanted to order gyro dinners. To our surprise, we were told by the wait staff we could no longer order the gyro for dine in. (We had just ordered in for dine in 2 weeks earlier). A member of our party left our table to speak to a manager (male) to see if any exceptions could be made. The manager said no. He was then asked if we could purchase the meal from take out and we were told we couldnt bring it into the restaurant. Our party ordered other items from the menu. After dinner my husband asked to speak to a manager and a women identified herself as the manager. When she was questioned about the gyro dinner not being available for dine in, she stated she never said that, the reason was the gyro meat was not ready. This did not make sense as the gyro dinner was available for take out. All in all...it was a very disappointing experience for our family- especially on Mothers Day. In all honesty....Im not sure we will return....especially if the gyro is not available for dine in.

We had an exceptional dining experience at Floga! The rib eye steak special was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and the pork souvlaki was tender and delicious. Our server Niko added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening with his humor and attentive service. Everything Was Amazing Except The Male Waiter he Had Got Upset With His Tip As I Gave Him 2 Dollars bill was already $123 dollars which for me right now is alot. He Stands Over Me And Says I Think You Made A Mistake and that he has to pay kitchen 5% Its Like No K First Off He Didnt Bring Our Extra Red Sauce Not to mention, he kept trying to take plates away, and we were not done yet, probably because he was busy flirting with the two girls beside us. Great place, amazing food, but this guy caused a scene in front of my mother and father-in-law. I am very doubtful I will ever go back there. This is an amazing Greek restaurant uptown without the hassle of going downtown & having to pay for parking just to dine in. This restaurant is located in Scarborough next to Kennedy Commons. It is spacious and it felt homey. I came here for a work (late) lunch. Our reservations were for 2:30 p.m. and even though it was pretty late in the day, there were still quite a few other diners there. We were greeted and served by this older lady. She was excellent in her order taking & was pleasant throughout our time there. One of my colleagues took another colleagues meal by accident & she fixed the issue right away. For appetizers, we shared the garlic shrimp, saganaki, fried calamari, and grilled octopus. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. My favs were the fried calamari and saganaki. For my main entrée, I had the Kontosoulvi plate which consists of marinated spit-roasted pork shoulder and comes with two sides (potatoes and a Greek salad - there was an up charge for the Greek salad however it was a large portion). The pork shoulder was tender and melt in the mouth good. The potatoes were tomato based and not the usual lemon but was still yummy with the right texture; being soft & creamy on the inside. For my dessert, I had the traditional Greek citrus cake with a hint of vanilla topped with slivered almonds and sweetened with a simple syrup. It was okay and was a little to sweet for my liking. I also had a fruit daiquiri of some kind. I forget what flavor but it was non-alcoholic and very good. I would definitely recommend this place to others & would be happy to go back for another fulfilling and satisfying meal :)

Niko is incredible. I love going out to eat, and he exceeded all of my expectations. I got the Red Snapper dinner, and Niko personally prepared it at my table, removing the bones. He made great recommendations and made the night for us. Highly recommend!

Floga has consistently exceeded my expectations. Special mention to Niko whom has served me and my family many times and always a joy to be around. The food is always amazing. Service is always spectacular. Dips are made in house which have been our go too apps. Spitroast is my favourite. Tried the lamb last night wasnt disappointed.

This place is hit or miss. You never know if you will get okay food or terrible food. They dont care about quality or standards. Apparently serving burnt food is A okay. See pic.

Went here with my friends and family for dinner. The service and food are great. We ordered the fried calamari, chicken & beef souvlakis & salmon. For the kids, we ordered them chicken souvlaki and pasta. All the dishes are cooked to perfection & fresh. Portions are great. Originally, I wanted to go to Danforth to get some authentic Greek food but we want to find something nearby to avoid traffic and with parking. This place is great! This place is a must try and we will come back again.

It was a busy Sunday afternoon. Wine glass was always full, water glass refilled. Ample parking. Restuarant was clean. I will definitely be back.
