The lady is a nice lady. service was okay. but honestly, the worse hakkah food I ever had. I felt disgusted with the first bite of noodles, or rice, and even 3 types of chicken i chose. every bite made me feel like throwing up. threw away everything....

Hong Food has been one of the best finds ever! I tried their food for the first time a few weeks ago and kept going back. By now I've tried most of the items and I gotta say, they're all consistently good! The lady running the store is also super sweet and never skimps on the portions! Considering the abysmal prices of food in 2024, Hong Food is very much reasonable and a wayyy better bang for your buck compared to the average fast food place. If you're going by the Malvern mall and wanna eat, my go to would be the medium combo with the spicy rice, hakka beef, manchurian chicken and fried chicken. Grab a medium soda from the circle K on the other side and you get a banger meal for about 10 dollars including taxes!
Coming here for over a decade now, food never disappoints! I am a little sad that the price went up (still under $10) and the portions are less but this place deserves no less than 5 stars! Keep it open forever pls :)
Can never go wrong with a combo meal here. The prices are low for the amount they give you, I’ve been eating here for over 10 years now 👌👌 All the staff are really friendly. Not to mention the value of what you get. They always fill up to the top. I got a three item combo w choice of rice or noodle, and it comes up at $8.75 after tax. You can even ask for half rice half noodle. In the mall food court, this would be at least $13+
I have been going to Hong Food for over two decades. I still remember the student discount we used to get. Rice or noodle plus 2 meat items for 2.59. I still drop by here when I am in the area. Their quality is always consistent. My favorite is the medium box rice or noodle plus 3 items currently priced at $7.25 plus taxes. Overall Hong Food is one of the better food court Hakka food I have had.
Great food everytime! Great service everytime!! Easily my fav hakka place. Love the red Manchurian chicken & Chilli chicken. One thing which makes them above all other hakka places is the amount of veggies in the noodles and rice. This is where I find other hakka places cheap out on but not Hong Food!! Amazing!
Hong Food @Malvern Town Centre. We cannot get enough of their delicious foods. We have been going there since 1996. We use to live walking distance to them like 3 minutes away and oh boy we were addicted to their foods and we would buy it almost every lunch time and when back then my son attended Blessed Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School. He would go there every lunch and we would buy it dinner time after coming home from work so tired, its just the right thing to do. We would buy their foods for family events at our homes. We moved out of the area and travelled from Hamilton just to pick up food from them. And being back further East, we still travel 20 minutes every friday just to eat their white fried rice, chilli chicken, wings, sweet & sour and ginger chicken. They were closed for an emergency for about three weeks ago for two weeks. It seemed like a lifetime. We thought Hakka Pavillion bought them out. We were saddened but I continued calling their number until they answered on Monday, April 16, 2024 and to my surprised, it was Hong Food. I had to ask because I could not believe they are back. My family and children missed their foods and many customers in the Malvern area and in the mall missed them. Me and my family lamented so much for the weeks that they were closed, thinking that they were gone forever. Glad to have you have you guys back. Great family they are. Very friendly. Guys check them out. They are no comparision to Hakka because we use to eat from Hakka late at night maybe every 6 months or even once a year. A pity the mall closes so early and they too. But we understand. I have referred my friends to them too. Hope you guys never leave. Please if you are moving, leave a trail where you will be going, because we were lost without Hong Food Malvern Town Centre. Right before they left for the family emergency. I had mentioned to a teller from Scotia bank who I knew and met over 10 years ago is still working there. I mentioned to her about Hong Food and to tell her co-workers too. Hope she did.
Great food for a great price. The portion sizes are also really big and can stretch over many meals. Would come again!

This is the best Chinese food Ive eaten so far since I moved to Canada. Amazing taste and flavors. Great customer service and they always put extra food in your box. A must try . 100%

Restaurant is in the food court, rice is good but the meat is more like 90% cornstarch and dressing and 10% meat.
Best hakka food in scarborough
This has been my go to place for a cheap quick meal. Some may find it greasy but I love it . I have been coming here for years and it has not changed. Thanks you for your hard work that feed alot of kids.
The food is good, but they have heavily reduced the portion size while increasing the price big time. Also, from time to time, you can taste the staleness in the food.
This is my brothers and my go-to place to eat if we re near Malvern town center!! Many students from the neighbouring school agree so as well since they walk here at lunchtime and stand in line for the affordable meal. It s seriously so cheap, yet so delicious! It s also HALAL certified, which is crazy and I love it! I love eating the spicy red noodles while my brother likes the red rice, they have chicken and beef and vegetables and stuff and they give you so much for the price! Ngl it s kinda rubbery but idc it s still yummy and really filling! Dietary restrictions: Halal meat

Food is tasty but became very expensive. Portion reduced..their prices keeps going up each week and less amount of food.
Best red rice and Asian style chicken in all of Toronto, plus the price per portion cant be beat. She truly puts her heart and soul into making this
My financial advisor tells me to fight inflation I must cut my food spending costs. Enter Hong Foods, for 10$ I can get a whole platter of sodium to feed a family of 5. If you are living on a budget, your go to place for food should be Hong Foods.

This restaurant is one of my favorites. The owner Stacy is such a jolly person and always very warm and friendly. The food is superb considering the price. Amazing bang for your buck. Best part is that its also (hand slaughtered) halal!
Great economical pre-cooked Chinese food. You wont get low prices during this pandemic time. Nov 22, 2021: a small dish of spicy chicken is now $9.30! Wow, talk about price increases during the pandemic, this one top it all. I can t continue to support it. I will need government funding.

Great food and cheap price. I always get the red rice with special chicken and ginger chicken, two spoons of hot sauce and four packs of hot sauces. That combination is the best. Would really recommend and I will ways go back.

This is a great place for some Hakka food, and it s Halal, so if that s your preference, they offer awesome options. Their prices are reasonable and their food is great. Personally I think their spicy chicken is amazing.

The service is good and fast,for all the food is pre-prepared. However the food is has an eery stale taste, one of food going old. I find this with there sweet and sour chicken. There noodles are good but however they also feel stale. All in all its not bad to eat at.
The Hakka food is extremely satisfying (actually quite spicy!) and the woman that owns it is humble and very nice. Family-run with great prices, this is a go-to place for me!
