Worse customer service.. no smile, too much attitude, no hello nothing. We just walked into this Restaurant. I went here so many times in the past. I never saw this lady before. But since we walked she have a attitude issue where we sit..the total Restaurant was empty. Without knowing what we want she started taking order in her way..its looks she doesnt want us to order..no smile ..attitude face ..bad customer service..we walked out of the resturant..will never visit this place again..bye bye kim kim. Worse.. There are lot hakka Chinese places..good luck you missed 50 dollars business ..

Ordered takeout today at around 7:30pm, the chilli chicken tasted bad, hard texture absolute waste of money, vegetable fried rice was bland. Paid $30.85 cash most Chinese restaurants don t include tax when pay with cash but this one does. Never coming back to this place again.

Its a small family-owned restaurant. The service was excellent! The mirchi corn was the best. Parking: The restaurant is in a stip plaza, so its a shared parking.

My favourite Hakka place closed so I was left scrambling when looking for a Halal wonton soup after I got sick. Had heard about Kim Kim and we decided to give it a try. Customer service by the men who work there isn t always great, but they get the job done. The lady is really nice and sometimes talkative. They package the soup so it s less likely to spill. The wonton soup was good. It has a good amount of veg in it as well. Not overly seasoned which is typical for a wonton soup. Each time I ve gotten the soup here recently, it has calmed my stomach down and helped me to feel better. Get the large portion because it s twice the amount of the medium. A good value! Hubby and I will be back to try some of the other food.

Last night was the first time I visited the restaurant over a few years ago to find the KimKim is not the same as what it used to be. Food was bland, owner was very eggar to take the menu when we asked to keep one to order. Hot sauce was not spicey. Simply put, water had more flavour than their food.

Kim Kim is definitely underestimated, and the restaurant does not get the credit it deserves. This is undoubtedly one of the greatest Hakka restaurants in the GTA.

It was my Birthday and decided to order from this restaurant and we ordered a couple of dishes to take out. There s so many Hakka places in the area and gladly we came in the right one cause we all enjoyed the food, we order 5 dishes and so far 4/5 was good, I didn t mind the beef but could ve been a bit better besides that, the customer service was great as well. Will definitely come back and try other dishes in the menu and will definitely recommend this place.

Food is a hit or miss, service is terrible. Ordered food for takeout but decided I wanted to eat in instead. I m told I can t eat in because it was ordered for takeout. I even insisted I won t use the plates or anything dishes but still, I m not allowed to eat in .. I ordered 2 lunch specials, garlic chicken with egg fried rice which was honestly great. I also got masala shrimp with Hakka veg noodles which was horrible, no taste at all, complete waste of money don t ever order the masala shrimp here. I ve had it a year ago here and it was delicious, large breaded shrimp pieces marinated well. It s now small little shrimps not breaded or marinated well just seems like cost cutting. Overall some of their food is actually good but some of it is terrible. Service is always terrible. It wasn t like this before, they used to be much better than this so it is disappointing. Makes you feel unwanted and unwelcome being in there.

A good place for hakka style Chinese food in Scarborough. Quality of food is good and quantity is also fair. Price is reasonable They serv really quick. They have both take out and dine in facility. Recently they did some renovation, the space is now bit congested. Albeit it is worth recommending for its yummy food.

We ordered takeout for a group of 14. The service was excellent and food was very good. Our diverse age group with varying tastes enjoyed the food. Salt was slightly on the lower side but better this way than too much salt. Everything was fresh and we really enjoyed it. Highly recommend Kim Kim! Small location across the Good life fitness. Went here new years eve and ordered a vegetable Hakka noodles and dry tofu. The tofu comes with rice and the gentlemen asked us if we wanted hot sauce. However, they gave us no utensils to eat for takeout. The food was average and lacked saltyness. The hot sauce was needed to elevate the flavours. The only saving grace was the portion size.

We ordered a large Hot and Sour soup and it had a really bad smell coming from it. We have been ordering from them for a long time, but I dont know their quality seems to be slipping.

Today I ordered few items from this restaurant. I picked up my order. After came home I was surprised to see size of the chicken wings( smallest size, no meat)and it was not fresh and hard and old. When I called to complain about it, she was so rude and told we couldn t do anything about it. Really surprised how they are running business in Canada. Think twice before you order any items specifically chicken wings ever from this restaurant. All prices are higher in comparison with other restaurants and poor services . Dealing with customers was very upsetting and very rude.

I was a regular customer and enjoying their food. But to my surprise, for the last two visits, they served me almost expired food which created health issues for me. Be careful when you order there, always confirm with them if they have fresh food or not.

Avoid this place - it s absolutely abnoxious how they have their staff talking to people. The woman Mary tells us how they only take cash because how much the credit card company charges and tried to put that on us like you guys don t want to pay. She refused to let us sit inside, infront of other customers said NO You can t sit here, because what we ordered is only for take out. How is this business even running? I have never heard this in my life we ordered $20 worth of food which is mediocre at best and the woman refused to let us sit and dine in. One the most absurd restaurants in the GTA

Best Indian Hakka food in Scarborough

One of the best hakka food out there. Price is not bad either for the portion received.

Every time I come here is always a pleasant experience. I have yet to try other dishes on the menu but my go to are: mixed pakora, sweet corn and rice. The first 2 dishes never disappoint, the rice is the same as any other restaurant (that s not necessarily a bad thing). The service is quick as I usually go when it s not busy. The atmosphere makes me feel like I m visiting a relative from my home country, very homey! Always a great experience eating here!

We ordered 3 dishes. Hot and Sour Soup, Beef with Broccoli and Hakka Chicken noodles. Service was very quick and efficient. The restaurant has dine-in with a good capacity. It was quite busy with other orders as well. The hosts were very attentive. My husband, 8 year old daughter and I all loved what we ordered The Beef with Broccoli had a great sauce and tender pieces of beef, Broccoli and carrots. The noodles had an amazing smokiness to it and the soup was delicious made even more amazing by their sauces. And the bill came in under $50. Definitely going to be my favorite go-to hakka place. Went for dinner last night, we sat in to eat. The service and the food was decent. I ordered general tsao chicken, sweet and sour shrimp and deep fried chicken wings. Lets assume each dish was $15 to be conservative. Tell me how my bill was $61. Just rediculous, my first time at this restaurant and they ripped me off. I will never go back. Make sure if you go here you pay attention to your bill and get a receipt!

WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE VISITED IN TORONTO. 0 out of 10 in Food And -1 out of 10 in terms of Service. I asked them if they could just add some egg in my rice to which the server and the manager both unapologetically and unpolitely refused to my face. Then after that I shifted my chair a little bit to have a better look at the TV. The manager literally yelled at me and was like how will the other guests sit comfortably Even though there was only group of people except me and the whole place was empty. Then after that without asking me just added +10% for service charge which they did not deserve at all. Also tired To sneak in some tip as well. Last but not the Least. Pathetic food had no taste at all. Literally had to put salt and soup just so it could be consumed. I had 2-3 pieces of chicken thats all in my rice thats all. NEVER EVER COMING HERE ! The food is alright. The portion sizes are good and its tastes fine. The problem is the service. The younger male server is okay, but the older server is outright rude and does not care about the customers at all!

Nobody makes their Chili Chicken like this!!! If you like caramelized onions, get the chili chicken, fish, or tofu!!! I have been getting food here for ten years and the recipes for my favorites have remained the same, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!! Delectable!!! Soooooo good!!! Savory Hakka food!!!

Amazing food and great customer service

We get Chili Paneer Dry, its the best! Gotten it many times and not have had a consistency issue - always great. The include white rice which goes really well with it, especially when its packed together in the same container.

I go to this restaurant pretty often, but today I got quite upset. They are scamming their customers to pay more. I went today and ordered a chilli chicken and a chicken fried rice. There was a price inflation of $6 just from last week when I ordered these same items. The server failed to tell me about this when ordering. Also, when I normally order, there is an offer for 10% off when you pay with cash. Today as I was about to do this, the server told me that the total must be over $30 for this discount to apply. Once again, she failed to mention this as I was ordering. But what frustrated me the most about this experience was that she charged $0.25 per item to make it spicy. I have never been charged extra for asking for my food to be made spicy in any restaurant. This is a scam. The worst part is unless you thoroughly check your receipt, you wouldn t have noticed it. Again, she failed to inform this to me. I understand that restaurants must change prices to keep up, but the fault here is their lack of transparency. I wasn t told anything till it was time to pay, and as I was going by the prices on their printed menu, there was no way for me to have known about these charges either. Due to this, I do not recommend you go to a restaurant that does not offer full transparency to their customers. For sure, they have lost a long-time customer today.

Tried the fried rice (shrimp & chicken), tasteless rice . And the chkn n shrimp was not marinated either or fried nicely. Very bad experience. I came all the way from 40 km and was highly disappointed. Tried there veg stir fried rice. Which was nice.

Located in Scarborough its a decent place ambience wise, but the food is great . We went as a group of 10 and ordered chicken lollipop, Chilli chicken, schezwan fried rice, chicken hakka noodles, honey garlic wings, manchurian and sweet coen soup and manchurian ball gravy. The food was very good and the server was amazing. The price is well worth the quantity served. Medium soup serves 5 people and appetizers are 9-10 pcs per plate

Beware.... check your bill for service charge before tipping. They charge 10% regardless the number of people. And make sure that the server returns the change. Expensive mistake. Tip cost me 1/3 of the total bill. Also, the 10% discount on cash payment was not extended. So all in all I paid 30% more. Yikes! Here I was supporting local that cheats its own. Excellent food though but beware ... they will cheat you if you are not careful

I saw so many good reviews and decided to give it a try. We ordered culcutta chicken and had to throw it. The chicken was stale and had inedible parts in it.

Seeing the reviews we placed an order for Calcutta chicken and we regret even trying this place..the chicken was awfully stale and it had unchewable parts. Taste was ok but the fact that the chicken was stale throws you off..we threw the dish away. What a waste of money

Family favourite for chilli chicken and Manchurian fish. Portion sizes are fair and reasonable for their value. Bathrooms are always clean, which is something I always look for now. Thank you for having a great place! Coming back for more as always.

As soon as we entered the restaurant, without any reason of why, the chinese lady told us she wont serve us. They are very unfriendly towards kids. If you guys have kids, avoid this place, or face the consequences.

Great experience ordering with the lady on the phone, food was hot, everything tasted very nice albeit a little low on salt (better than being too salty), good portions, a bit more salt and they would have been perfect 10/10. Ordered food from this restaurant today after reading all the positive reviews. I don t get the hype. We ordered veg hot and sour soup, veg Manchuria noodles, veg Manchuria pakora, and Calcutta potato. The Calcutta potato was good, it wasn t bursting with flavour but it was the best item out of the four. The veg hot and sour soup was lacking taste, it was alright at best, have had better. Manchuria pakora we re very small in size compare to the other Hakka spots. It was lacking salt, and flavour. The noodles we had ordered was Manchuria but we received schezwan, but again there was lack of flavour.

Best Hakka in town. I get their half n half chili chicken and chili shrimp under the special menu section, so good and great deal! Also Malaysian eggplant with beef - yum. Tried many other things like fried rice, lo mein (noodles), soups, fish pakoras. The menu is very interesting, has Kolkata (Bengali) influenced Hakka food as well just Kolkatan dishes - the only restaurant I know of. All of it just pure delicious and good prices. Currently they are not allowing dine-in unfortunately, due to Covid19.

You can have a good Indo Chinese taste here, the flavours are quite nice and Indians who like Chinese will definitely like this food.

Good Cantonese chow main, fried rice... Decent portions. They dont load up their chow main with cheap onion and peppers... Actually good portions of a variety of veggies.

Tap doesn t work because they want to ensure people don t cheat them. They have disabled the tap and it clearly worked the last time I was here. Secondly the Tandoori Chicken portion has changed. The tray is extremely tiny and even then, they didn t put a fair amount inside. The standard size was larger and owner won t admit to it. I wanted to leave them a 5 star rating but the way he handled himself by raising his voice and attempting to shame me was very low. He said I will give you a refund/ return the food in a loud voice with others watching lol. There was no need for that. And he was upset that I asked to see the halal certificate. This chain has changed. Honesty is gone and so has the quality and portions size in the proteins. I miss the original owners. Very humble and respectful. I remember giving them a massive Army order and they did spectacular but THESE new owners are straight up terrible. I told the guy at the front desk I worked for the government and he said he doesn t care . 1 star.

Best Chinese food ever! I could not believe that such good Chinese food is available here at such good prices. Ordering process over the phone was quite easy and she explained the sides and told the total price on phone as well. Will definitely refer this place to our friends and also come here more often.
