I recently visited a new restaurant that just opened, and it was an incredible experience! The cuisine, which reflects authentic Afghan flavors, was absolutely amazing. The kababs were bursting with flavor, and the pizza was surprisingly fantastic a perfect balance of traditional and modern. What really stood out was the exceptional customer service. The owner, Nazanin Omari, is so young yet so inspiring. She’s incredibly kind, welcoming, and carries such a positive attitude. I actually remember her from a previous place she worked, and it’s truly amazing to see her running her own restaurant now. The atmosphere made me feel right at home: warm, inviting, and full of heart. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Diamond Kebab House is a gem in the making! They recently took over the old pizza parlour and are in the process of transforming it into a fantastic kebab spot. Even though renovations are still underway, they truly went above and beyond to serve us when we dropped by craving some good Afghan food. The beef and chicken kebabs were unbelievably tender and juicy, and the Kabuli pulao tasted so authentic—it felt like a true taste of Afghanistan. The service was quick, the food was fresh, and the overall experience was excellent. We were so impressed that we decided to use their catering services for a recent event. The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and everything was just as delicious as our first visit. I can’t wait to see the place fully renovated—it’s already on its way to becoming my go-to spot for Afghan food!
Best pizza in town , so yummy and good customer service
Some of the best tasting shawarma and wings I’ve ever had! The prices are so low it seems like your stealing from them leave a good tip. Staff is very friendly we are regulars and welcomed like family every time we come. Did I mention the wings? The wings are crazy like super crazy dawg just go get the wings you’ll thank me later and
Great food, great customer service. The food was really delicious, me and my daughter ate a pizza. Cheesy, all the toppings were fresh. The environment is also clean too. Everyone is really nice, and the food comes quickly fresh and hot.
***This review was written when the business was under its previous name: “Mecca Halal Pizza”. I have never visited Diamond Kebab*** I’m so sorry I have to give such a low rating and poor review. If I made this review anytime from 2023 and earlier, everything would be 5 stars. The previous manager/owner was excellent. He made sure the phone was always answered. He always provided very friendly service. He knew his regular customers and treated them favourably. He always produced great quality tasty pizza and wings. I have been ordering from this location for so many years, and my children and friends always asked for this pizza when we had birthday parties. HOWEVER the new manager has been such a let down. The quality of the pizza has been inconsistent and generally less appealing. The amount of toppings is minimal, but the cheese is excessive. The value of the food for what we pay has become disappointing. The service has become less friendly, and more challenging to place orders. I see less people dining in, but also it takes even longer to receive an order. Today we called the store 4 times without an answer — I knew something was wrong. We went to the store anyway to see if we could order in person. All of the lights were out, the store seemed empty, but the door was open wide. When we entered the store to ask about what was happening, the manager said the store is closed because he’s sick — but he was in the store, in the kitchen talking with someone else. Sadly this is our last time trying. I’m so unimpressed with this new manager and unfortunately we have to start ordering our pizza and wings at another location.
The environment outside isn't attractive, but it is clean looking inside. In my opinion, this restaurant offers one of the best-tasting pizzas in Scarborough, at great prices! The BBQ chicken wings were delicious, and while the honey garlic chicken wings were good, they weren't coated evenly and required a bit more sauce. The staff are friendly. I received a call halfway home to inform me that my sister had left her phone on their counter. I'll definitely be ordering from them again.

Diamond Kabab House offers truly delicious Afghan food with great customer service. I tried their Gosht Qhaq (dry meat) on the weekend, and OMG, it s so delicious and full of flavor! Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic Afghan dishes.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The kababs and food are so delicious, they made me feel like I was right at home. It reminded me of my mom s cooking, and I couldn t help but get emotional. I truly missed my family and back home, but this restaurant filled that void with so much love and warmth. Even though the place is still under renovation, the service was outstanding, and the customer service was exceptional. The young lady who owns the place is incredible, her positive attitude and energy truly light up the atmosphere. She even treated me with some chocolate and other goodies, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. I can t wait to come back again!

September 03, 2024, update: There is a new person cooking and managing today, and he cannot cook. I ordered wings, and I was told it would be 15-20 minutes. He had just given a pizza to waiting customers, and he was unoccupied. While he was cooking our wings, his friends arrived, and so after his friends ordered and paid, he gave a portion of our wings to them, and then cooked additional wings for my take-out order. I waited 40 minutes for wings that were overcooked. They were not crispy and tasty as I have come to expect from Mecca Halal Pizza; rather, the wings were saturated with oil. They did not have any taste other than oil. My guests at home commented that it tasted as if it was cooked in oil that had not been changed in a long time. Further, one group of wings was not evenly covered in sauce. The cook simply poured a small amount of sauce on the wings while they were in the plastic-foam delivery box. Portions of the wings did not have any sauce on them at all. Further, as we were waiting for our wings, the people eating the pizza complained to the cook that they needed more sauce because the pizza had no taste. Further, the cook let his friends into the kitchen to hang-out with him while he made food, and this seemed remarkably unsanitary for a restaurant. What seems to be the case is that the owner doesnt seem to work at the restaurant anymore, and the person who was hired to work on September 03 has absolutely ruined the restaurant. In the future, I can no longer plan to purchase food from this restaurant because I now know for certain that I cannot expect edible food unless I can be assured that the owner, or his regular manager, are working that day. If I arrive at the restaurant expecting one of them to be there, and then they are not there, then I can only turn around and leave, and I would need to spend time travelling to a different restaurant. Sadly, my purchase from Mecca Halal Pizza on September 03, 2024, was so disgusting that nobody could eat the food. It was all placed in the Organic Waste Bin. What a waste of time and money. Most tragically, what a disappointment. Everyone anticipated good food from Mecca Halal Pizza, and they were absolutely disgusted with what was provided for us. Mecca Halal Pizza needs to be concerned that its new employees can maintain their established high-standards, otherwise they will lose loyal customers. If they cannot find someone to provide what they promise in the short-term, then they should not open the restaurant on that day. This is 5-stars compared to the large pizza and wings chains. It is really hard to find good pizza, and it is even harder to find good wings, but this place has them both. Yesterday was my first visit, and I was pleased by the low prices, and amazed by the good quality! The pizza had a good amount of toppings, generally more than what comes on a pizza from a chain store. The crust was thinner than what I prefer, but it still worked. The wings were great! Freshly deep-fried, and the hot sauce that I chose for the wings was tasty, and well-integrated into the wings. When I purchase wings from chain pizza outlets, it is always obvious that the sauce was splashed-on at the last minute, and the sauce always seems separate from the wings; but here, the sauce was part of the wings! Fantastic! Decades ago, pizza places in Canada used to be family-owned, and that was reflected in the high-quality of food because the owners and workers had pride in what they provided for customers. Today, that same concern to satisfy the customer is absent from all of the pizza chains, whose workers dont seem to care what they serve customers. I dont know if the owner of Mecca Halal Pizza was the person who prepared the food for my family last night, but whomever the chef was, he had pride in the food that he prepared, and my family happily acknowledged that while enjoying the meal at home. And that is hard to find these days. I will return, the next time that I decide to purchase pizza and wings. That is the best compliment that I can give any restaurant.

One of the worst shawarmas Ive ever had. I asked the Bengali/Bangladeshi guy at the counter if the meat used in making the chicken shawarma was white or dark or mixed. He said breast. So I ordered one. Not only was the meat dark, the shawarma was filled with ketchup and thats the only taste I was getting. Ketchupy tasting shawarma. I made the mistake of ignoring all the negative reviews due to hunger.

I bought 2 large pizza with chicken toppings but i barely see chicken on pizza.The crust is super hard from the sides my kids dont even eat that.sauce,cheese and others toping has no flavor. The place is amazing, the service is amazing as well, they serve huge pizzas and give you a lot of time to order. They waste no time to start making your food, and the food is great. The food I tried here was very very good, enjoyed very much.
Place sold many times and prices went up so high. I remember the place is not very old but the owner is claiming 15 years old. It is okay but if you compare the prices with just 5 years old prices the extra large pizza was just 12 dollars including tax with minimum 4 toppings. I dont know who we have to blame? Im a tourist guide and not worried if someone want to spend money on food. Make the owner happy. Because he is upset about my point of view.

Undercooked dough. Strange smell from the pizza. Smells like a lot of dough rising agent and stale meat. The ground meat is all red. Maybe food Colo ring or a lot of paprika. Very skimp on toppings. The cheese ratio was good though. Won t go back in a lifetime.

The pizza was okay but it didnt taste very good two days later when I heat them up again. I think its missing the Oomph! factor that Bilal Pizza seems to have. The people working there were watching hindi serial and wouldnt let me place my order until commercials. Thankfully the serial was good so I didnt mind. I think Bilal Pizza is better than this. I normally have very bad constipation but it seems to loosen up after eating Bilal Pizza. Mecca Pizza on the other hand did not help with my constipation, but thankfully it didnt make it worse either.
Wings are good but they put really little sauce. Other places leave the extra sauce in the container, this place takes the excess sauce and puts in back in the container. usually i make my own pizza because its better than ordering out. feeling lazy however and new to the neighborhood i gave these guys a shot. they gave me a walk-in deal for my first order when i arrived, how nice is that? i received a well balanced pie with crust not too thick without asking, ingredients scattered evenly, and a tandoori chicken pizza that is not annoyingly sweet like a bbq chicken pizza can be. i am impressed overall, and will order again.

Ordered Pizza with garlic bread yesterday. With dips missing and garlic bread burnt . Pizza was good , just dont think they should be selling garlic bread if they dont know how to make it . What a waste of food .

Don t trust the one star reviews as I noticed they all say go to Bilal halal pizza . Seems like someone with a hidden agenda is posting negative reviews against Mecca Halal Pizza.
