At this Mongolian chain eatery, diners cook meat & vegetables in broth at the table.
Went on a Sunday evening for two, and the waiting time wasn’t too long. Once we got a table, ordering the meat was quick. They have a variety of selections at the back of the restaurant. However, the downside was the beef quality—it wasn’t great. As you can see in the photo, half of the slice was fat. Additionally, the complimentary soft ice cream had a watery texture rather than a creamy, milk-based one.
Perfect place for family gatherings in Winter. We were 9 so they gave us the private room which had a consumable of $300, enough for the normal $29 AYCE + some extra skewers as there was additional discount because we had seniors. After ordering a soup for each person as well as the meat, we went to get the selection. There were many things to pick from - spinach, watercress, all kinds of mushrooms, bamboo & lotus root. My mother loved the sweet potato. In the more premium section, there were shrimps & squid, including mashed shrimps, and the seafood balls. The more exotic meat was also located here - there was cow tongue, cow throat, tripe, and frogs legs. There is also a cooked food section, including fried dough. For dessert, there was iced jelly, oranges, a brownie, and they also will give you soft serve ice cream. For drinks, they had a soda station. When you leave, there are fortune cookies available on the counter. This place is definitely better than a lot of buffet places in Toronto. We were all very happy.
Came to Happy Lamb Hot Pot on Friday during lunchtime. They have a lunch special $21.99 which soup pot is included. It is all you can eat, and soft drinks are free as well. The food is fresh, and soup broth tastes good. Services are good here. Everyone is friendly here. The parking lot is not big, but it is not busy during lunchtime on a week day. You can also get their dinner special for $29.99 (more AYCE items selection). I think they have very good price for and all you can eat hotpot.
Wonderful restaurant. Great variety of vegetables, meats, seafood, tofu, fountain drink, cooked food and sauce bar. Waiters and waitresses were kind and respectful. We do recommend trying this place during winter months.
Definitely a good hot pot spot in Scarborough, especially if you're looking for an all you can eat option. A really great price of just $30/person for their dinner menu (plus soup fee). Staff are efficient and the interior is nice and ambient. Definitely can get really busy, especially during the dinner hour so be sure to join the waitlist before hand!
AYCE hot pot for a great price. You order the broth with the server and go out to the self service area to get the sauce and food. They provide noodles, vegetables, fish balls, chicken, and squid etc. For the beef and lamb, you need to order with server. Clear broth, mushroom broth, hot soup and spicy butter hot pot were equally great! ✨Highlight: - Garlic chicken thighs - Handmade noodles
The place looked really aesthetically pleasing. I went there for the lunch all you can eat which was around $20-$30 per person and had a 2 hr limit. The food varieties included a bunch of chicken, pork, beef. There was also an aisle for fried foods like squid and an aisle for fruits. There are 2 seperate options for all you can eat depending on what time you go as there's a lunch and dinner menu. There was a soda station to refill drinks, but keep in mind there's a fee for if you have over a certain leftover limit (so take what you can eat!) Was really able to get my money's worth and ate a lot and would recommend if you like a lot of lamb - or related foods!
Oh man this place has so many options. They also had other all you can eat sides, of chicken wings, noodles and fried goodies. The sauces for the soup were good and the side sauces u make yourself was cool too. The huge varieties of seafood, fish balls, meat balls, veggies, noodles and unlimited pop was great. In the end everything cooking in the soup mix started tasting similar to each other. Service was good. The location was well decorated and packed the whole time. Only issue, we had called to reserve the room as we had a group of 12. We got to the the venue and they had it saved for someone else. We found out later that it was 1 guy with a room full of girls. Oh well. Overall good experience, minus a few things. I'd likely try a different restaurant over this place, for the next time I have a hot pot craving.
Like very much
The place is not big, but it is very practical and has abundant ingredients.
There are all kinds of dishes, the hot pot is delicious, and there is free ice cream.
Visited this place this evening. A great hotpot spot with a nice ambiance. Variety of broth and fresh veggies and meat options.
If you are looking for a hotpot place in Scarborough, this is a good place to try. They have a lot of options for the seafood and vegetables. Also, they have cooked food already just incase you are hungry. Their washroom is clean and the parking has a lot of space. The only concern that I had is that the staff who assisted us is not fluent in english. Since it s our first time to try the place, we wanted to ask what s included or what would be the best broth for first timers. Overall, this place is good and I will comeback.
My go to place especially in the winter months. I wish they find a way to cut down the waiting time.
Lovely food, along with great service. 10/10 would recommend.
Good hotpot place. Birthday free.
The food originally tasted good, but when you check out, you are forced to tip. The store is really cheating on customers. They gave you cash, but when you check out, they used a calculator to calculate how much to tip. They used cheap prices to attract people, but in fact they didnt. It s not this price. If you can t afford it, why don t you give it this price? I won t go there.
The food and staff are great. I m not sure what it was specifically that we didn t like but the other location is better. Maybe the atmosphere? We ll definitely go again, just not to this location. Food
Since tips are required, high-quality service must be provided. Every waitress has a straight face, as if all the customers who come to the store owe her. No smile at all, tip not worth it.
Good customer service. Food taste good. Fresh products. Good price .
I been going to this canton style hot pot place for many years. They never disappoint. Food quality is decent and good variety. Something for everyone and it s actually not as messy as some of the other buffet style hot pot places around GTA. Service is excellent. Just no reso after 6pm, you have to wait in line or join the wait list on google.
Best buffet in Toronto, come here almost once a week
Very good hot pot makes me squirt
Parking: Plenty of spots Recommended dishes
Food is overall good but could use more variety. Price is good though. And everything else is good.
It tastes delicious. From eating it once a month a few years ago to now, maybe every two or three months, the service is great. The waiters are very polite, GJ! It is recommended that everyone come to eat while there is a lunch event now
Best lamb in hot pot I ever eat. Special lunch for $22 plus tax and tips. All inclusive including soft drink and soup base
The new decoration is great
One of my favourite hot pot places in Toronto. The price is so reasonable and the flavour is so good. No theatrics, just good price and good food. The space is also clean. There are so many options from cold dishes / apps to the actual food in the hot pot. The broth is so flavourful. I like this location more than the Mississauga one
i finally got to try hot pot for the first time a few months ago and it is now my new obsession. Happy Lamb was recommended to me by a friend and it definitely did not disappoint. since its AYCE, i would say the price is reasonable. they have a big variety of things that you can add to your pot, such as chicken, octopus, broccoli, rice cake, corn, etc. its a great place to go to with friends/family. they even have a dessert section! i also got to enjoy some free ice cream, which was delicious.
Went here for my Birthday and had a free meal, premium meats were high quality, would recommend the extra purchase as you can order as much as you want afterwards.
Been there once, not bad
Have been before and received amazing service; today however, service was terrible. They waited until after we were eating and food on table to tell us they would only except one transaction to pay for the whole table. Multiple dirty trays before finding a clean one to eat off. Waitress gave incorrect information at table and when questioned at bill time, bold faced lied to our faces. Bathrooms made me want to sanitize myself from sole of feet to last hair on head.
The food is low quality. Seafood and meat smells bad and dont taste fresh at all. Also, the music is very loud. The only pro is that you can get a free meal on your birthday.
Happy Lamb is a really high quality Hot Pot location. My friends and I go to the one in Mississauga because their tomato soup is vegan friendly We stopped in for my birthday lunch and enjoyed delicious beef and all you can eat additives for your soup. They even give you a little ice cream when youre done!
Bad service
Good hot pot
Last night was my second terrible experience at this hot pot shop in this month. Earlier in October, we had lunch there, and unfortunately, the woman in charge anxiously tried to overcharge us for the food tips before we even had a chance to pay. I know she is in charge in this month but her behavior made me feel uncomfortable and undervalued. Yesterday, when we returned for dinner, we encountered her again. We realized we had an expired coupon, but normally, if you re lucky enough to meet the younger staff a boy, he will usually allow you to use it. Unfortunately, we were not so lucky, as the same 40-year-old woman was there. She rudely dismissed the coupon and acted very unprofessionally. Additionally, there is a two-hour time limit for dining, but last night, even though we hadnt finished our food, she instructed the waitress to turn off the hot pot. We have been loyal customers at this location for a couple of years, but we ve decided to stop coming until this woman changes her attitude towards customers. It s quite disappointing for a brand that is otherwise good.
Remember the ice cream at the end
I had diarrhea after eating, the price is cheap but I paid the price
The canteen after get off work, promise me to keep it open
The worst in ayce, it is recommended to turn left when going out.
I love coming here! Food is always fresh staff is always friendly. I love all the soup bases and you help yourself to like over 100 items of self serve items! Items I would recommend is the snakehead fish!!!
Best hot pot
Good food, cheap
Who wouldn t love a place where the hairy belly is free , you must eat the curry pot!
Nice selection, friendly staff. Includes free beverages, which is not common to see. Nice touch with icecream at the end.
Good
Very delicious
A horrible manager, a girl with dyed yellow hair, didnt understand her shops policy. I want to buy the special spicy sauce they add to the spicy hot pot, but she refused. I then asked if there was a policy against customers ordering the spicy special sauce with a non-spicy soup base. She literally said she didnt know and then made up a lot of excuses. Horribal way to treat their own customer!!!!
We came to this AYCE hotpot restaurants for many times, and we thought we really enjoyed the food and service from this place provided. However, couple weeks ago, when we visited here again, we disappointedly found something had been changed. The most frustrating part was this restaurant has cancelled many of ingredients such as intestines, pork organs, shrimps and many other good ingredients that they provide before during the lunch time. We wonder doesn t the owner understand those ingredients that they provided is the reason making the restaurant so unique among the red-sea competition hotpot market in GTA area. That s why customers waiting for maybe 30-50 minutes in a long line just for a table. Right now, the lunch price is lower and has customers free soda. But basically slice pork, beef, lamb, chicken meat, and so many vegetables. Honestly people can easily have these things in their own house and get them even cheaper. People don t have all-you -can-eat everyday, and maybe maximum have this kind of food once a week or even a month. This is so weird, and the service quality is not as good as before. We are frustrated and won t visit again But this restaurant still provides everything like before for dinner time. FYI
Food was decent but the cashier was incredibly rude and entitled, experience would ve been decent if the cashier wasn t incredibly rude, Was refused the complimentary ice cream, awful service would definitely not recommend or come back.
Service here is terrible. They make you wait in line even though there are tables available. There were over 6 tables open which can seat 4. I was 4th in line and they still said it would take half an hour or more before being seated. Ridiculous. Not worth the aggravation.
The best hot pot in GTA!
Food is too salty
The food is good and amazing lunch discount are worth it. The services are really bad the servers work like I ve owe them a million dollars. We have 3 adults and 1 toddler who is only 2 years old and they try to charge me 3 adult and one kid price which on the poster under 5 should be free of charge. Also when I mention that they are no napkins for drying my hands they insist they ve just refilled and giving me a judging look so I went back and I double check there are noting. I ll not come back again.
I used to come here religiously like I couldn t live without it. I love this place- when it was Mongolian hot pot to happy lamb hot pot. Always a delicious time for myself, mother and sister!!! Our go to place when we have special occasions. Choices of your own meat and vegetables etc!!! So many choices, I always get A LOT of the red sausages.. you don t understand.. I am obsessed and tomato base soup!!! They give out ice creams if you re done with everything as well. They also have fried area on the right and some sweets! And DIY your own sauce along with refilling drinks! Though good prices!!!!
When I had gone up to pay I was being gaslit by the female server about how I have to tip the servers . The lady at the counter would not answer my question on whether or not tipping is mandatory. She kept saying tipping is not included as if I was supposed to tip when I was going to tap my card and kept asking if I had 7 dollars in cash or something as a gratuity since it s only 10% and they work so hard. It was not even during peak hours when me and my husband came to the restaurant where no servers came to check up on us during our dinner, besides asking to add more broth. My experience was not good nor bad during this time until I had to go to pay which just ruined our whole afternoon. First time coming here and it will definitely be the last completely dissatisfied and disappointed at how poor the customer service was and how tip hungry some of your servers are especially after reading other reviews about this establishment.
price is decent and staff is accommodating and welcoming.
Excuse me? Can you believe this is the ice cream they gave me . I asked for the ice cream, the waitress told me to pay at the front, meanwhile get the ice cream .. but I don t wanna hold the ice cream while I m driving . Food : 3/5
I visited Happy Lamb Hotpot for dinner on a weekday and decided to upgrade to the premium beef. We chose two soup bases: half tomato and half spicy butter. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. Despite the upgrade, the beef quality was not impressive. While there was a variety of sides to choose from, both broths were quite bland and tasted like water. It felt like I was just boiling my meat and veggies in flavorless water. The service was practically non-existent; the servers seemed to purposely avoid contact with customers, making it very difficult to get their attention. The ambiance was okay, and I admit the prices are cheaper compared to other hotpot places. However, I was so unsatisfied that I went to another hotpot restaurant three days later to satisfy my cravings. I wouldn t recommend this place and definitely wont be coming back.
Came here for their $30 per person AYCE special. Price point is very competitive given everything is so expensive nowadays. Great selection of food, and quality of food is above par. Will definitely come back when I feel like another AYCE hot pot.
What kind of bike do you want at this price? Cheap dry rice, fresh ingredients, even if the bottom of the pot is not excellent But the price is really amazing
The beef and sheep are second to none in other restaurants, delicious I hope the store can add millet chili and it will be perfect
Cheap price and good taste
You should advised people it s a 2 hours waiting before you asked them to get a seat.
I wait a seat for almost 2hrs, I asked the waitress how long should but he refused to answer. He should tell me how long we might wait!
Bad review, bad review, bad review
The most affordable ayce hotpot so far. Suggestion to get there early for dinner, like 4:30pm or book appointment or join wait list, or else you have to wait. Must get the free after the hotpot, even the cone is yummy, reminds me of the childhood one in China.
The food is decent and the price/performance ratio is okay. But its still at the level of an ordinary hotpot.
good place to get lunch
Great selection of meats and veggies and fast service! Love this place
If you eat hot pots instead of going to expensive and tasteless places, go here. There will be no failure.
Great hotpot experience with family and friends for a reasonable price. My personal preference was the spicy butter broth and the curry broth. FYI, 15% service charge for groups of 5 or more and if its your birthday, its a free meal (bring your I).
Great hotpot restaurant. The ambience is comfortable and bright. There are varieties of options to choose from. You have to go outside to get your own hotpot choices according to what level you chose-lunch/dinner section. Addition, there is a hot snack station and dessert/appetizer section. They server provided good services and explained the selections. The price for ayce is the best choice here. Parking: Plenty of free spots
Very delicious and very affordable
nice
nice
Great restaurant. I like it better than Hai Di Lao.
Good food and atmosphere but service needed to be improved seriously. I patiently lined up to get number from the snappy machine trying to enjoy my meal at the restaurant. Meanwhile I saw multiple people behind me and didn t line up , just went in the restaurant, and left happily, which I thought they just gave up because of the long line up. As I got in the restaurant, I just realized that people who weee behind me and didn t line up went in to get the number from the snappy machine. I felt very upset and disappointed because if instruction was announced properly , people would have followed the rules but because lacking of instructions , people who followed the rules were being taken advantage by the others. As I reflected this problem to the staff ( a blonde hair female who stood behind the counter ) I first communicated in English saying that there were people didn t line up but got the number and the table beforee . She said it s fine that you didn t need to line up to get number. I replied so it s fine by this restaurant that people didn t have to follow the rule and the restaurant stilled are ok with that . And she responded as yes, you didn t need to line up . Just come to get the number. I was very upset that I wasted an hour lining up to get number and waited another 3 hours to get the table for a meal , but people who didn t line up can get the meal immediately . I was shocked that when did Canada become this rule less now a day ? I strongly believe and in my opinion, next time when I am hungry I just come to the restaurant, find a table and sit on it to get my meal instantly , because in this restaurant I don t believe following rule wouldn t get you any good .
very delicious
Very delicious. Will come again Kid-friendliness: Suitable
Very affordable hotpot place in Scarborough. Good selection of fresh vegetables. Nice promo for mothers day. Thank you for a great night out.
A great experience for sure.
extra $5 - You will get excellent meat plus regular all you can eat price . the meat is fresh and good. Broth is a bit too salty. Overall, $50/ person all you can eat is affordable
The ingredients for the hot pot are okay, but the cooked food options are a bit limited. I don t like the ice cream after it was changed to old popsicles. I added more fountain drinks.
After their renovation, the environment is great, the store is clean and tidy, the food area is bright, the ingredients are neatly arranged and replenished, and there is no extra charge on holidays and weekends. The usual price of 28.99 is very affordable, and the price-performance ratio is very high
It s not bad, but I ve been there once and wouldn t think about going there again. It s a bit like the self-service hot pot in domestic counties.
I m assuming that they changed owners, but it s still pretty good considering the price and all. With pop included in the price.
I came to Happy Lamb again and it was still satisfactory. Sammi s service was warm and considerate
Had my first hot pot meal here today and it was amazing! I had the Hot & Sour broth and it was delicious, hubby had the Hot broth and it was spicy but delicious. He does not think he could have gone any spicier. The price included pop and all the beef & lamb strips you could eat. There is a big selection of veggies, noodles and other meats as well as some hot already cooked items ( loved the chicken wings).
We came in on a Thursday evening around 6pm and there was surprisingly plenty of seating available. It was our first time here and they did not disappoint. The male server on shift tonight who served us at the beginning and at the end (I couldn t get his name but we came in on April 4th, 2024, the guy without glasses and black hair) was very nice, attentive, friendly, and welcoming. We ordered our soup base and he instructed us where we can grab the sodas, ingredients for the hotpot, sauce, etc. The other females servers on shift were pretty average, some were a bit awkward and had a bit of an attitude as they barely spoke when asking us to pass the empty dishes. The price is very affordable with plenty of options at the self-serve section. Varieties ranges from all the different types of vegetables, seafood, meat, etc. (bok choy, cabbage, enoki mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, squid, octopus, intestine, tofu, fish balls, beef balls, you name it, they have it). They also have plenty of food available at the cooked self-serve section. I find the self-serve option very convenient and easy, increases efficiency and convenience, don t worry they re always refilling so they never run out. The only minor issue I had was the flavour of the tomato soup base, probably because I m more used to the heavy tomato soup base flavour from liuyishou, their tomato soup base felt a little underwhelming as it s more light. However, I do admit that I have stronger/heavier taste buds which could just be personal preference. They do have a much more varieties of options than any other hotpot place which is surprising for the price. My sister also peeked into the kitchen and was amazed by how clean and organized the kitchen was. They also offer popsicles and fortune cookies for dessert at the end which is very nice. Overall very affordable and definitely recommend.
We have clear broth, lunch ayce menu. Broth is salty, had to add a lot of water. I prefer beef to lamb. If you like lamb, my friend enjoyed the lamb wonton on the side bar more than the lamb meat itself as they were more juicy. Beef meatball was also good. Bok choy, watercress, mushroom ears were veggies I enjoyed. The sauce bar is the same as Hadilaos. Drink is self-served, free soda and its actually not the diluted one (so be careful w feeling full). The service is bare minimum, I wish they helped dispose fat on top of the broth halfway through. Overall good value. We werent supposed to get popsicles (we came at the end of the lunch menu so the staff got confused). Taste was slightly on the bland side to me, but my friend loved it. Vibe: we didnt speak Mandarin but everyone else was and the music was mostly C-pop with occasional USUK 2010s pop.
They had flies in the sauce bar terrible eats
Is it free on my birthday?
The soup has been changed recently and it is too salty, especially after adding soup, it is extremely salty! After taking one bite, you have to drink water (intentionally?) And when checking out, I deliberately didn t remind you that I had received a 15% tip. Then the post machine asked for it again (I often forget to leave a 15% tip twice) Such a dishonest business will not last long
Fresh Foods offers a delightful experience where you can grab as much food as you want on your own. Its a super fun experience, and the staff keep refilling and cleaning the food selection area to ensure its always clean. The tomato soup is especially rich.
We had a meal, but in the end the waiter acted like he was chasing people away, and he couldnt even put away the pot in time. We ate later than other tables. This kind of service was rubbish. I suggest the boss to replace him as soon as possible
My favorite place for delicious hot pot! The place is very clean, big variety of veggies, fish balls, noodles and other various food items to add to your soup. Everything is nice and fresh. Service was very fast and efficient.
The server was rude when we requested more beef slices
So bad ! disgusting
Love this place lamb is great an affordable place for hotpot
They called me and told me that I could come over now, but they only told me that I needed to get a number when they came. Why couldnt they explain it clearly on the phone and tricked me into telling me that I needed to get a number? Is it really okay to waste other peoples time at night?
Had my first visit to this all-you-can-eat hot pot place, recommended by a friend, and I wasnt disappointed! With a wide variety of soups, meats, and veggies to choose from, the options felt endless. I opted for the clear broth, which was infused with red dates and goji berries - a choice that proved both unique and delicious. They offer both large pots for sharing and individual small pots, catering to different preferences and dining styles. One thing to note is that they dont accept reservations for groups smaller than 6 people. However, they do have a private room that comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests, making it an excellent option for larger gatherings. The staff here are quite efficient, utilizing pagers for swift communication and ensuring prompt responses to customer requests. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, as evidenced by the tidy washrooms and a staff member I noticed diligently cleaning the sauce bar. Its clear the management is doing a great job. Overall, my experience was highly positive, and Id readily recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quality hot pot meal that wont break the bank
The manager of this store is really speechless. I have been eating in this store for many years. Every time, the ingredients are stale. We have not said any problems every time, including sometimes frozen tofu, mushrooms, etc., which are huge. The taste, but we chose to be tolerant every time. The waiters there were very good and all knew us. But except for the store manager, she found fault with us several times. Except for her, everyone else, including the handsome manager, was very nice. However, the store manager seemed not to want to It s really speechless to leave old customers with a very tough attitude. It s because of this store manager. I feel that this store manager really has a problem with new and old customers. Anyway, we feel that this store manager has a big problem. We will consider it before going there next time. I will also consider it when recommending it to my friends. Please tell me clearly when you waste food multiple times! Ive eaten there hundreds of times, but only once did the store manager come to find fault. After eating there for so many years, he slandered old customers. This is the first time Ive seen it. Your store is really great Please tell the truth how many times youve been there and how much wasted? How many times is multiple times?
Something different where youll cook your food. A robot brings the meat to your table. Pick your broth, then take vegetables, other raw meat, and raw seafood at the buffet table. There is a cook chicken wings ready and its good! Has glutten free options, too. The food was ok, and cooks quickly. Service is good considering how this place is busy on a weekend. .Also, since food is cooked at your table, when you come into the restaurant, it has a strong cooked food smell. Finally, park by the plaza.
We went there on -20°c friday night so it was extremely busy since everyone want warm food. 7 of us was placed to a 2 stove top table that normally fit 4 persons so, it was tight and very hard to get in and out to get foods, is best to go as smaller group. Depend on the pot size that ur order, they do charge pot fee which other hotpot restaurants that I went they only charge per person for all u can eat. Foods on shelf was fresh n restocked very fast. No sweet or dessert section but they will give 1 popsicle per person when u ask for the bill. Parking: In a small plaza Kid-friendliness: Kids are ok to go there but just be careful not to get burn because the hot boiling pot is located on table top center where u eat.
Great service. Better than par food quality. Will return as a regular.
Happy Lamb Hot Pot is a culinary delight that earns every bit of its 5-star rating. Offering an exceptional dining experience, this restaurant stands out for its unbeatable value and all-you-can-eat menu. The prices at Happy Lamb Hot Pot are more than reasonable, making it an affordable option for those craving a hearty and satisfying meal. With the all-you-can-eat option, diners can indulge in a wide variety of fresh ingredients, allowing for endless combinations and flavors to explore. On the other hand, be prepared for potential long wait times during peak hours
One of the cheapest hot pot restaurant in the area. You get what you pay for. Their price includes soda, cant beat that. Vegetarian options: A lot of choices for vegetables for non meat eater
One of the best hotpots I have been to in a long time. Very clean, fast service, efficient, fresh, and amazing value. Will be back!
You can pick whatever you need on the shelf. Dont have to wait the staff to order.
Broth so Hard? What ever the above sentence is just ignore it the broth is Amazing Food
After finished the hot pot, I took the ice cream home because I was so full. I went home then noticed it was expired 6 months ago. So disappointed, Im your customer for few years.
All you can eat Hot Pot, we joined the waitlist online (it shows your spot in line) which is helpful so you have a reference when to arrive at the restaurant. It was busy at 7p with all tables being full and quite a few people waiting. By 8:30p there were a few empty tables and not quite as busy. We were a group of 4, you can share 1 cooking pot, or have four individual cooking pots at your table but you must mention your preference when you arrive. Only the beef, and lamb platters need to be ordered but the other food is self serve. Lots and lots of food choices! Food ranges from small cooked appetizers (fried chicken wings, sesame balls, rice, kimchi, chocolate cake, peaches etc) to uncooked assorted vegetables, seafood, various noodles, other meats like chicken. All you can drink pop and popsicles as dessert. Decent prices, group of 4 ~ $160
First choice for me
The service was ridiculous, three people could only sit at a two-person table and one person in the aisle. I just couldnt help it. Normally, a four-person table is reserved for six people.
Service is quick. Selection of food is huge but we didn t find bean curd. Overall it s worth a try.
You ll get a table much faster if you know the front counter staff. We waited an hour. Someone registered much later than us and got their table before us, turns out they knew each other The self serve watered down pop is not free, you won t know until you get the bill. And if you like a lot of MSG in your soup then this is the place for you. We couldn t stop drinking water after dinner. Luckily there are literally hundreds of other hotpot places to choose from. Edit: Our bill was $240something, most places will brake up the change so you can tip but since they already included tip, they gave back a fifty and some change. They handed my wife the fifty dollar bill stacked together with the five dollar off coupons for the next visit. Wife tried to use the bill today and guess what?! It was a fake bill, only had one serial number on it instead of two. There s no way to prove it was from them so we ll just have to swallow this one. When you get change from this place, make sure you inspect every bill.
The best hot pot restaurant Ive had in GTA. The essential part of a hot pot is the stock, and they make awesome one. High quality of meat and other ingredients provided also.
One of my favourite AYCE hot pot places. Unbeatable price and the tomato soup base is amazing!!
Tried the all-you-can-eat hot pot, the soup base was delicious. Good value for money, fresh ingredients and plenty of choices. The time limit is two hours, but it s enough time to not rush you out. I like it.
amazing selection of food for the price.
Food was good tho there was less option for chicken but the service was bad there was no one coming to our table to clean the empty trays they were going to all other tables but not ours we had to call them several times to take away the trays and when we went to pay they will force you to tip them like literally force you even with a bad service.
It has been a while since the last time we visited. Good to be back.
This is such a reasonably priced option compared to other hot pot restaurants. The variety of soup bases and food selection definitely offers good value. However, the standard lamb had a stronger taste than I prefer. Also, the complimentary self-serve soft drinks, while rare to see in an AYCE restaurant in this area, were no longer fizzy and very flat, detracting from the overall dining experience. The service was attentive, although I do wish there was clearer communication about pricing. We were surprised to find that the weekend AYCE lunch price was higher than expected, as it was considered the dinner price for the entire weekend day. This was confusing and somewhat disappointing. Kid-friendliness: They do have high chairs and non-spicy hot pot soup bases.
Food was great, the service was great, dont bring more than 6, they had a hard time fitting a group of 7+
Best hot pot in GTA! Service is great!!! Always love to visit! Upgraded meat is really great!
Self serve Hotpot buffet. Great selection of food, but mediocre quality. Broths are good and have interesting flavors. Service can be slow at time. They recently introduced free soft drinks, so thats a plus.
Price is good, selection is good, especially these days where everything is so expensive. They have happy hour weekdays (might be mon-thurs) for 25% off.
Loved buffet style lunch, you can choose meat only buffet or you can upgrade to meat and seafood buffet.
Great value for money, all you can eat and drink for 2 hours for $29 But there are no rush customers
There are many dishes, very fresh, and the prices are very cheap!
Good broth with lots of options. Lots of greens and the extra fried options are also delicious. There was a wide variety of sauces and nice staff.
Food
When I went to eat at five oclock, the meat was frozen instead of freshly cut. The service was disappointing and I felt that the service was not as good as before.
Cheap eats, quality matches it s price point. If you re looking for quality, not quantity, then this is not the place to go.
Compatriots are treated differently. The foreigners at the next table can choose the flavor of popsicles, while the Chinese only have old popsicles... I am a bit speechless. I already saw melona in the refrigerator and asked the waiter to replace it but was refused.
Best hot pot in town! Good job HL
Terrific! The entire dining experience was pleasant. In terms of quality-price ratio and service are the best that Ive ever tried in Toronto. Self-serve soft drink is included without extra cost. Its worth to upgrade the meat as they are darn good, Yummy . I cant wait to visit again. The only drawback is that the chili oil is not spicy enough, but there are no fresh chilies provided. I hope they will improve it.
Good variety for a decent price.
bang for the buck!
You can t imagine that you have to share tables with other. The restaurant is only designed for group of people over 4, not even a single table reserved for 2 people here. There is literally no private space for you, you have to face with a black board while you having food, super bad experience, and you have no right to say I don t want to share tables with others , because the staff there force you to share tables with others. If you want to look for a good dining experience, at least you are being treated as a normal customer, don t come to this place. No respect and no rights at all as a customer.
Very good hot pot place, very busy
Best clear broth & lamb. No other fancy hot pot places can compare.
Everything tastes delicious except the bottom of the pot, which has no taste.
It s really good and cheap, the food is fresh, there are many varieties, and the drinks are free [ ][ ]. We will come again, but we have to take a break for a week or two because we are too full
Its one of my favorite places
My go to place for hot pot.
It was a busy very busy Friday night the restaurant. However, The staff was very very helpful and served our food very well and fast. Generally the food was good. I love the lamb meet, tasty tho. Highly recommend again
Vavaan serve us very good and food good thank you very much very polite
Watch out when tipping. Watch out. The server at register demand tips on the amount before the cash discount is applied (happy hour). Listen you the business is providing the offer, if you can t afford it, don t. Server WILL demand specific amount. Fellow customers you have the right to refuse. Do not be shy.
Make the mahjong thicker, its too thin.
I d recommend you try all of the food, variety of options to choose from. I d rate 10/10. The elderly man who served us was really nice and friendly. Will definitely visit again
I like that you can get up and get your own food!
Lots of option and all the items were fresh. We enjoyed a lot. The broth could have more flavour
I don t quite understand what it means when I m the first person to come and there s an empty table, but I let the person who just arrived and hasn t taken a number to wait for a table eat first. It s great for two people. Let s earn more.

tasty
I visited Happy Lamp Hotpot last Monday, and it was an absolute delight! The ambiance was cozy, and the staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. The hotpot was simply delicious a perfect blend of flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The menu offered a variety of fresh and high-quality ingredients, and the presentation was impeccable. The attentive and helpful staff made the dining experience even more enjoyable, providing excellent service throughout the evening. I highly recommend trying the spicy soup it was a standout, and I cant wait to go back for more. If youre in the mood for a delightful hotpot experience with great service, Happy Lamp is the place to be. Five stars all the way!
Its been a long time since i been here. Formerly Little Mongolian Lamb hotpot and changed names after covid. They have done a great renovation making it a very bright and inviting atmosphere. Theres a huge selection if fresh foods in an open refrigerator concept. Theres even a small selection of hot food like fried chicken wings, marinated pork bone and fried rice! The service is very good and attentive. They are well staffed so if you need a refill of sliced beef or lamb, it isnt a problem. I love their option to choose individual pots or large communal pot They have an awesome happy hour promotion (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) which I hope they keep for long run. As long as you start your meal before 4pm and pay (cash) by 6pm, your meal is 25% off! Just make sure you dont wear anything that absorbs odors, as your clothes (esp winter jackets) will smell of hotpot. I usually bring big garbage bags to put my jackets into so they remain odor free. Vegetarian options: Theres a lot of plant based foods to choose from
Love it! Good times! delicious gourmet
Not bad, you can walk until you hold on to the wall.
a busy place, sometimes need to wait for a table. (business is good = good place) The food is amazing, large variety. I overall feel like this place is amazing for anyone trying to have a extremely filling and tasty meal
For my second time ever eating hotpot it was a really good experience. Would try again.
