Your Neighbourhood Indian Kitchen
Visited them at noon of Sunday. Food was freshly cooked and delicious. Filter Coffee was great in taste. All items were close to taste served in India. Vada and ubattu could be fluffier. But they were top notch quality considering Canada. Would love to visit them again.
Went to Minerva tiffins for the first time and am making sure that I go back there every weekend! I absolutely love the ghee dosa with the chutneys which is exactly what I would recommend to everyone! The filter coffee is really nice as well! Do visit this place, the food is worth your penny!
Food was really tasty. Thanks sumit for taking care of us. I guess service was slow because of weekend but food came out fresh so no complaints at all. Really nice home made tea
I am from Kakinada where pesarattu upma is an emotion and I was craving for it here in Toronto. Happened to try Minerva special pesarattu it was flavourful and my friend had masala dosa which was decent. Our favourite was the peanut chutney. Service is excellent. The staff were friendly and surprisingly the restaurant was spacious good enough for families to have a nice lunch/dinner. I have been ordering online from them but this was my first time to dine-in. Definitely going to visit again to try more items. The prices are affordable we ordered mirchi bajji, pesarattu, dosa, ginger lemon tea and masala buttermilk and it costed us around $40. Food quality and quantity is commendable. I’d highly recommend this place for authentic Andhra taste!!
Spacious, clean, good service. However I feel the food can be little more spicy just the way it is in South India. Sambhar bowl is just too small for my liking. Idilly was yummy. Dosa was but above average, I was sad that they don’t have paper masala dosa.
We had the unlimited buffet ( sat-sun only) - good variety, but all basic offerings like poha, bonda, plain dosa, 3-4 types of rice, chana masala, puri, idly, vada, rasam, sambar, fruit, gulab jamun, onion bhajiya, chutney. Tasty but would have liked it if i cud try at least one premium item. Very friendly staff, gave good suggestions and very helpful. Neat and clean ambiance. Must try if you like south Indian food.
Super delicious yummy food😋 One of the best dosas anyone can have very crispy fresh light Their karam masala dosa is 👌🏾 Not the best sambhar but they give variety of chutneys which’s mind blowing
We recently visited Minerva Tiffins as my wife had just had her wisdom teeth taken out, and we needed to find some soft food. It was a great chance to introduce my cousin from LA to some dosa. The portions were generous, and my daughter particularly enjoyed her cheese dosa because she got to eat with her hands, which she loved. The service was excellent and attentive throughout our meal. However, there was a small mix-up with my wife's order; they made her dosa spicy, which she can't handle. Thankfully, they quickly corrected it and remade her dosa without any fuss. Despite this minor hiccup, we were all very pleased with our meals. The food was tasty and satisfying, and the overall experience was positive. The staff's attentiveness and willingness to fix mistakes promptly were much appreciated. Minerva Tiffins provided us with a delightful meal and a comfortable dining experience, even under the circumstances of needing softer food for my wife. We will definitely be back for more, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy some delicious dosa and great service.
Let me start with the good part, the ghee idly was perfectly cooked and delicious. But the puri bhaji was bland and runny. The puris were also tasteless, all I could taste was maida and oil. Most importantly I got a very poor and incompetent service. They were extremely slow and apologetic. I d to wait 10 mins for a sugarcane juice only to find out 5 more mins later that the machine was not working. Not satisfied
Breakfast buffet is really tasty, I recommend it
Reasonable price, super tasty South Indian food
I recently visited Minerva Restaurant, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! I tried their masala dosa, Mysore baji, and ginger tea, and every dish was a masterpiece in its own right. The masala dosa was perfectly crisp on the outside, with a generous filling of spiced potato masala that was flavorful yet balanced. The dosa had just the right thickness and was served with fresh coconut chutney and sambar, both of which were excellent accompaniments. The Mysore baji was a revelation crispy, golden, and packed with a subtle kick of spices. It was cooked to perfection, with a soft, fluffy interior that made every bite memorable. And the ginger tea was the perfect ending to the meal. It was warm, aromatic, and had the perfect blend of ginger s zestiness and tea s soothing flavor. It left me refreshed and satisfied. The service was prompt, and the staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great dining experience. Minerva Restaurant truly excels in delivering authentic South Indian flavors with top-notch quality. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious South Indian cuisine! I can t wait to visit again! Vegetarian options: Plenty of options are available. Parking: Plenty of parking available
Great Allum chutney and very personable service by Sumith
taste is OK, prices are too high compared to the quantity they give. I ordered mysore bonda, dosa they gave only one chutney whereas other tiffin places provide multiple chutney. Even small sambar bowl was also not provided. They changed a lot when they shifted from take-out place to dine-in. Overall disappointed in taste and quantity aswell. One plus point Is their dine-in area is quite big and well organised with enough staff.
Awesome food!!
Minerva Tiffins in Scarborough is a hidden gem for authentic South Indian cuisine. The flavors are genuinely traditional, making it a go-to spot for anyone craving dishes like dosa and idly. Their white chutney, in particular, stands out thick, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The restaurant offers ample dining space, creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Its convenient location, coupled with free parking, adds to the appeal. The staff are friendly and ensure a pleasant dining experience. Overall, Minerva Tiffins serves tasty food with great service. I highly recommend giving it a try if you re in the area! Vegetarian options: It s a vegetarian restaurant! Kid-friendliness: Kids friendly restaurant
Excellent food.
We have been here multiple times.. The quality of food is great. Their buffet is best for people looking for brunch options. Amazimg spread of items at a decent cost. Food : 5/5
Didn t like the food at all , they charge for extra chutney as well.
They lost the quality like before! Super slow service - we waited more than 1 hours just for 2 items Food quality - the food was not fresh, coming from a South Indian family we could tell that the batter was old. Both be and my husband had an upset stomach the entire day. The only thing that was nice was the pomegranate juice.
You expect us to pay 23$ for a breakfast buffet. Fair enough. However we expect edible food that is hot. Is that more to ask for? Been at ur buffet today 7th dec 2024. Looking at the number of people we felt like a nice place. However we were mistaken. Over salty food (not sure if u do that on purpose so people eat less). Non helpful staff. No timely refills. Saw most people complaining. Staff was just ignoring as if they dont care. Sorry guys. Not returning.
I honestly enjoyed the food here. I had the chicken curry with naan. The live entertainment was interesting.
Nishint was our food server He was really good I loved idli sambhar and dosa Overall good experience Food : 4/5 |
Had the tomato chatpat dosa, and I cant wait to go back again. Loved this.
Food is excellent
After visiting Minerva, I stopped going to subhiksha, sarvana, and any other dosa, place, and best in taste and price.
Vegetarian options: Great customer service. Good for dosa lovers Food
Tasty food, and friendly staff.
Finally after the recommendation from many friends and the owner herself, we came to Minerva Tiffinsfor some dosa and iddly. I must say there service and food quality is 100% better than other places. Going forward this will be the place for my dosa cravings. Loved the ghee dosa and Samber. Highly recommended.
Minerva Tiffins is a true gem for South Indian food lovers. The menu offers a delightful variety, from piping hot dosas and pillowy idlis to perfectly spiced uttapams and crispy vadas. Each dish is prepared with authentic spices and fresh ingredients, bringing out flavors that are both rich and comforting. The sambars and chutneys are beautifully balanced, adding the perfect kick to every bite. It s the kind of place where every meal feels like a treat, capturing the heart of South Indian home cooking with exceptional quality and taste. Thank you. You are the best Kid-friendliness: They always greet the little ones with warm smiles, offered kid-friendly menu suggestions, and even took a moment to chat or make them laugh. It was clear they genuinely cared about making children feel welcome, helping parents relax and enjoy the meal as well. From small gestures to attentive service, the staff created a family-friendly atmosphere that made our visit truly memorable. And this has happened numerous times in the past as well.
I just ordered Idly sambhar and filter coffee but smabhar, and both chutnies are just amaing in taste. Plus staff is very attentive and helpful. Pleasent atmosphere
Worst food and service for the money we tried puri and idly for breakfast, Puri is too bad with lots of oil and won t look fresh at all so is curry. Masala chai is the worst tea I ever tried. Everything is too expensive and not at all worth for money. I strongly recommend to stay away from this place to save your money and time.
We visited Minerva Tiffin in Scarborough looking forward to some authentic South Indian food, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. The food was just average and didn t stand out as we d hoped. More importantly, the person at the counter was unexpectedly rude to my wife for asking why wrong info was given on the call about timings of thali.. he went on to argue and finally backed down only after showing the call records on the phone. which made the experience uncomfortable. We hope the management can work on both food quality and customer service to create a more welcoming experience for diners
Good food. Simple and tasty. We had thali and pody idli and it was good. Food
Staff was friendly , food was scrumptious , and ambience was too peaceful when I entered I heard hanuman chalisa there which made my mind very happy
Professional staff, good food and clean!
had this beautiful and delicious meal at you place. place was super good, calm and vibrant. pure traditional south indian tiffins and meals.
First time visit great places the food is good
Hands down the best dosa in Scarborough and in Canada!
I had an amazing experience! The service and hospitality were exceptional, and the food was absolutely incredible. Their menu is extensive and full of exciting options I can t wait to go back and try more!
Half of the experience of eating out is the food and half of the it is the service , at Minerva the food is as amazing as the stuff. One of the rare cases when the restaurant never disappoints and you can expect the same quality of great food and amazing hospitality every time you come here. Your search for the best South Indian food ends at Minerva.
**A Delightful Culinary Experience at Minerva Tiffins** Minerva Tiffins is a gem for anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the warm and inviting ambiance sets the stage for a fantastic dining experience. The food is nothing short of spectacular. The dosas are perfectly crisp, the idlis are soft and fluffy, and the vadas have the ideal balance of crunch and flavor. Their chutneys and sambar are the perfect accompaniments bursting with freshness and authentic spices. A must-try is their ghee podi dosa, which simply melts in your mouth, leaving you wanting more. The service is top-notch. The staff is courteous, attentive, and always ready to offer recommendations if youre new to South Indian cuisine. Despite the restaurant being busy during peak hours, the service remains efficient, ensuring your food arrives hot and on time. What truly stands out is their commitment to quality and authenticity. Every dish feels like a comforting home-cooked meal, yet with a level of finesse youd expect from a top restaurant. Minerva Tiffins is more than just a meal; its an experience that transports you to the heart of South India. A solid 5-star experience Ill definitely be back!
Amazing fresh delicious food
This is easily the best South Indian restaurant in the greater Toronto area right now, not only based on their yummy food but also their amazing service. Pro-tip: get their punugulu and request green chutney in place of peanut chutney. Their Ghee Ragi dosa was a unique revelation. Their Tomato chatpat dosa was brilliant. Their vada is unlike what you d get elsewhere. But really, nearly anything you get here, you re unlikely to be disappointed.
Amazing food for buffet for 16$. Kulvir did a wonderful job in overall service. Plan to visit again soon!!
Excellent South Indian food at a great price point! We tried the masala ragi dosa, idli, vada, filter coffee and shaahi tukda, everything was delicious!! The chutneys and sambar were also very good! Cant wait to come back to try other items.
Nice place for South Indian food, service was excellent
Fresh and authentic, close to home experience.
If you enjoy spicy, flavorful Andhra cuisine, Minerva is a great choice. The experience is wholesome, and you leave feeling satisfied with a burst of traditional flavors. Just be prepared for the spice level! We recently catered for an event at home, and the food was incredibly fresh and delicious, with generous portions. Their pulihora will instantly remind you of the one your mom makes full of authentic flavors and that comforting, homemade touch. The service was outstanding Sumit handled everything for us, making the entire experience smooth and hassle-free!
Very good food especially the buffet. Few items but well prepared and consistent with the taste quality. Would recommend the Pesarattu dosa.
The food was absolutely fantastic! Although the buffet had a limited selection, every dish was well-prepared and full of flavor. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the cooking really stood out. A great spot for a delicious and satisfying meal!
This is one of the most overrated restaurants I have ever seen. Firstly the staff is poor in explaining the difference between buffet and thali. They run both at the same time and you end up with pathetic food on their buffet.Secondly, the food was not even up to the basics. None of it had any quality. The managers have zero customer handling skills. Even after we had provided complete feedback of how pathetic their food was and we couldnt eat anything properly they didnt bother to provide a bit of relief on the bill which is the basics of restaurant service. We ended up paying completely for the pathetic food and the highlight is on their Mysore bonda. Its made of bread. They claim its their best seller. Totally dissatisfied. Not worth even a penny of your money.
The food was tasty and very reasonable ,the staff efficient and friendly and the place was spotless. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The dosas are huge & very tasty. I don t live anywhere near the restaurant, but it was worth the drive! Vegetarian options: All the food was vegetarian.
wasted $26 in there weekend buffet, bland tastless food, half the items in there buffet is not worth. Dosa are thin and cold, Vada is there biggest mistake of there recipe, will never visit this restaurant again.Horrible and over rated and over expensive..pls instead visit a small restaurant name Subiksha Foods at Eglinton and Midland and try there Masala Dosa, Ghee Roast Dosa, Mysore Masala and Karam Dosa and thank me late
Tasted Mysore Bonda, The chutney was cold and the service was very late never gonna visit this place again
Love this restaurant. This is the closest we ve found to Hyderabadi taste in the city. Love coming back here again and again!! Really like the service here and the taste. Its also very affordable.
Poori is awesome homemade taste, keep it up
I always visit Minerva Tiffins when I crave authentic South Indian food! The staff is super friendly and the food is super delicious! Love the aesthetics of the restaurant too! The best South Indian food you can find in Toronto
Amazing vegetarian indian food place for weekend buffet; their mango lassi and chai tea are also amazing
Great experience first time being here. The food was great, probably one of the best South Indian restaurant I have been to. In particular, their Pizza dosa is just awesome!
I went here with my wife and we both enjoy karam Dosha & Gulab jamun which is really awesome in taste,I recommend people to enjoy the taste and have good time.Customer service is very good I appreciate it.keep it up.
I always get wonderful experience at Minerva tiffins. The dosa here especially Masala dosa and Hara bhara dosa is incredibly authentic crispy, perfectly spiced, and served with delicious and fresh chutneys. It truly reminds me of the food back home. What made the visit even more special was their customer service. Our server named Ritika not only friendly but also genuinely caring, very kind lady, taking the time to ensure we are happy with our meals and offering great suggestions. The warm attitude from staff always enhance the dining experience here. Must visit this place for fresh and authentic taste and amazing Customer service
Very excellent food and service
We went to the place at 8.40pm on Saturday. Ordered food and waited for 45 minutes to get the food and they forgot one of our dish. Waited for that food for another 10 minutes. To get food we waited for nearly 50 minutes and the food was bad. The veg fried rice was so bad that we have to leave the whole dish. Paid and left. Won t recommend for any vegetarian people.
I strongly recommend those who arent used to indian cuisine just stay away because I feel like my stomach hurts after eating last night. Service was fine and the waiters were doing their jobs, the food just did not go well and i partially regret coming.
Delicious South Indian food
One of the best dosas Ive ever had out of the country. The pav bhaji dosa is extraordinary. However, the crown goes to the staff & the chefs in kitchen. They exceeded my expectations.
First time trying to dine in India. The food and drinks are authentic, and the staff is very hospitable. I like the decoration here.
Amazing food and ambiance. The staff and owners are down to earth. Excellent service and fabulous food. They have buffet as well. This place is a must try!! Food
Amazing food, ambience and very cost effective with decent portions. Came down specifically from Ottawa to try out this, definitely worth it! Highly recommend. Abhi hosted us and had an amazing conversation with him and the nice servers
Nice food and environment. Pesarattu is worth trying. Vegetarian options: Very nice authentic Vegetarian and egg related opinions Food : 5/5 |
Never order the gondola wadas. Pathetic. Rest everything was perfect!
We, along with 4 families, reserved a table & visited this restaurant last weekend. Everyone liked the food very much. Staffs were awesome & kind. The manager was really great. Kids enjoyed it, too. Peanut Chutney & other chutneys were mouthwatering. The only missing thing was some availability of dishes in their menu. Some of them were generic expectations like Andra style dhal for Thali. It came at the end after someone explicitly reminded them. Maybe Thali was unusual at that time. Overall, we will go again.
Service was good but food was not to the par
Had Podi idli and Kara Masala dosage. Ver good taste. On time service. Food : 5/5
The idlis are amazing definitely 5 stars! We also tried the dosa, which deserves 4 stars. The vada was decent, but not as fluffy as expected, so I d give it 3 stars. It felt more like medu vada. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the Mysore bonda, which I d rate 1 star.
ordered through doordash. terrible food packaging all you get is one small chutney box which is good for 1 of four bondas, other 3 bondas you should dip in water.
The best south Indian food you can ever had. Minerva tiffins has an exceptional South Indian dining experience with authentic flavours and warm hospitality. The crispy dosas, rich sambar, and perfectly balanced chutneys are a treat for the senses. The staffs attentiveness adds to the overall experience, making it a must-visit for lovers of South Indian cuisine. Cant wait to return and explore more!
Genuine service. Tasty food. Quality and quantity is satisfying Parking: There is a lot of parking space in the plaza.
Pritam and Sumit were excellent! We tried Minerva for the first time and will definitely look forward to coming back! Especially their Chai was too good! Tasted exactly like Mumbai!!!!!
Very flavourful food and very helpful staff.
The best. Feels like home.
Staff member s behaviour was rude. No intentions to visit again.
Lovely masala dosa. Nice chutney and sambar. Always love coming back. The chutneys are good . The staff is very down to earth, very kind, very helpful and treats you like family. Good hygiene. Five Stars. Vegetarian options: Try the food.
I had a small baby shower and lunch party booked with Minerva and their service and food quality was outstanding. Special mention to Sumit and Abhi for having organized everything and helped us carry out the event with ease. Food items were very good and all the guests were very happy and satisfied with service and taste. Thank you Team Minerva, we will keep coming back to you for more events. Best Wishes!!
I had an exceptional dining experience at this South Indian vegetarian restaurant in Toronto. The food was authentic and delicious, with perfectly crispy dosas, flavorful sambhar, and a fantastic thali. The idlis were soft, and the chutneys were fresh and vibrant. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the cozy ambiance added to the overall charm. The portions were generous, and the prices reasonable for the quality offered. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine!
Decided to visit here at the last moment so we got in around 9.55pm (closes at 10) and got unarguably one of the best dosas. Price Range - Moderate.
Ordered Masala Dossa. Very good portion size, the chatnis were all fabulous. Well priced. Above all, the staff is so friendly and helpful. Loved the overall experience
My go to Indian tiffin place Karampodi Masala dosa one of my personal favourites pairing with a Mango lassi makes it perfect Sumith be the best
Great for South Indian food
Very friendly staff, best south indian buffet in town. Will definitely come again and bring whole family here. Neat place and very good atmosphere. The whole buffet is the highlight Food
Good food but the service need to be improved
I had very high expectations for the buffet menu, but it was quite disappointing. Their normal dine-in menu is good and tasty, but I wouldnt recommend their buffet as its not worth the price. Special mention to the Mysore bonda and the dosa, which were good. Their rava attu was very bad dont even know what its made of.
Our goto place for south Indian scrumptious food!!!
Went in for buffet!!! Must say one of the best I ve been! Best South Indian food and their chai hits the spot!!! Must tryyyyyy
The food taste really good, but the service wasn t up to the mark. Employees were not very attentive.
Extremely poor service. If you bother to come here, wait for 1 hour for the food to be served. Pathetic way of addressing customers
Too many favourites to list here! A really well planned thali, and all tiffins made fresh. The staff is very kind and always ensure we get the best service!
Awesome place for South Indian food. Their idli dosa and vada are superbly yummy. Have had their weekend buffets quite a few times. Reasonably priced and very well thought out spread.
Punugulu was nice, crispy and tasty. Drinks were refreshing n amazing. Ambience is good. Great service. Friendly too. Overall a good experience!!
Visited for Breakfast Buffet. Had multiple options. Everything tasted good. Definitely a must visit South Indian restaurant.
I love this place especially for its masala chai. The dosas are pretty good. The chutneys are served fresh. There are water bottles, ready for us, on the table. The tomato dosa is worth trying. We ordered the potato masala on the side with it. The music, though, is pretty grating on the ears. Three stars because of the grating music
Minerva is always our go to place! The food is amazing and the vibe is great! Feels like home Food : 5/5
Best south Indian food place in GTA.
Ordered Palak Paneer Dosa and Mango Lassi! Service was excellent!! Food was SO good and Mango Lassi didnt disappoint! Excellent place and would come back again! Servers were cleaning the tables and cutlery and it was a very pleasant experience!
Worst food I ever ate(bonda were oil dripping balls, idly felt old and chutneys are tasteless, I am not sure what has changed from my last visit which was very decent. In Service , hospitality was good but they doesnt seem to bother about the food quality or your feedbacks.( So felt pointless)
Great food and service. Warm welcoming staffs.Everything was perfect. Definitely coming back again!
Good food and good atmosphere and the service was good keep up the good work
South Indian food is amazing here. Taste is very good and there are plenty of options.
Yummy food and the service is great! Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious South Indian Food.
Really good dosa, so is their puri and sabzi
Everything is super amazing here. The food quality is outstanding, excellent service.
Highly recommended Thali !
The best part about this place is two things - Food and Customer service. There are 4 or 5 ppl who came and asked whether we are enjoying the food. Great options, very quick and very good ambience. If you are a veg lover, 100% recommend this place. Keep this customer service going!
Tasty dosas and good ambience... Far better than other places we have tried for dosas. Food
Its one of the amazing dosa I have ever had in Canada. Staff was really helpful if you needed any suggestions and the recommendations were really helpful. We tried pavbhaji dosa, karam masala dosa, and harabhara dosa. All of them were really, really good. Must try harabhara dosa.
It was a good experience dining at minerva tiffins, will recommend
Great South Indian food, very authentic. We loved the pesarattu and puri-aloo. Must try place.
Food was good
Absolutley authentic south indian food! You will not be disappointed eating at this place. Really good portion size for the price. And very friendly service.
Amazing food, very fresh and flavourful. Great service.
Parking: There s a huge parking spot Infront of the restaurant with plenty of parking spots. Kid-friendliness: They also have kid meals at reasonable price.
The food was delicious! Four of us ordered 4 different dishes, and all were fantastic! Portion was quite good. We ordered one Minarva special pesarattu, one madala dosa, one Karam uttapam with onion, and one Karam masala dosa. Masala tea and filtered coffee were great as well. For dessert, falooda was fantastic! We are sure going back there and going to recommend our friends too.
Great food with a variety of options. Mirchi baji and punugulu are a must try and sugarcane juice is a nice drink to finish off your meal with. Nice spacious place if you want to have yummy meal or dinner with friends Vegetarian options: Most of the menu is vegetarian Parking: Right opposite to the restaurant
One of the best South Indian vegetarian places in Toronto. Tasty dishes with the right amount of spice.
Giving 4 star as service is A +, food taste is A+, all in all everything is nice about this restraunt as im a regular customer here. But today i found 2 hair in karam dosa, i know some times it happens by mistake. Still i will force you guys to focus on hygine when it comes to preparation of food items. Use mask, hair nets while preparing food because it doesnt look nice I used to work in a restraunt too and im studying food safety right now. These things bother people like me.
Service is slow. I had ordered thali and they took forever to bring one refill. Had to wait while eating for them ti bring my food. They even didn t bring some of the refills even after asking. Food was ok but their service was very poor. 2 star only for ambiance and food. Nothing better than other competitive restaurants nearby.
Minerva Tiffins has been our go to since before it became a restaurant two years ago and the food and service had always been amazing. Now, however, this has changed and no longer maintains the standards that the owners originally had envisioned. I hope it gets back the values it once held.
I visited the minnerva tiffins scarborough location today after ending a tiring trip, hoping to have my favourite meal. To begin with punugulu was not available, secondly i ordered from their online menu which describes peanut chutney idly as rasam idly so i got rasam idly, when i inquired showing them the menu they were like we cannot do anything about it we can give you chutney on side to which i said please cancel the order then, then the guy went ahead and said let me give you palli idly, the right dish came finally. Imagine on my bill i was charged for both the dishes and upon inquiry the guy comes back and says its not our fault that you ordered wrong item I DID NOT SIR, I just followed your menu , you forgot to edit it properly. I used to love this place and chain, never coming back again. Taste and management has gone out of the window. If this is your customer service and management I ve nothing to say. Ridiculous behaviour.
Found hair 2nd time. Service: too late Atmosphere: Really good June 24 2024 Food : 3/5 |
Sucha waste of time! It was closed and yet the board says open etc!
Great place to have a breakfast that reminds you of home and all the tastes that you crave at the tip of your tongue, head out to this minimal yet quality and taste at its best South Indian restaurant. All dishes I tried were great so go on and explore their menu !
Had Veg Thali . Quantity less and quality at worst. Over all food + GST +tips : 29 CAD. Total waste.
Simple place with great Indian dosas. If you arent sure, ask the servers or other patrons. Folks here are pretty friendly. Masala dosa has potatoes in it and is not spicy, although the dips are mildly spicy (and one dip has peanuts). Spinach dosa is spicy, and more spicy than the Karam masala dosa. Samosas were also great. Try a mango Lassi or chai tea to go with your meal. Great place for authentic dosa!
One of the best South Indian restaurants we ve tried in Toronto! We ordered a buffet, Pesserattu garlic karam , masala karam dosa, filter coffee, sugarcane juice, mango lassi, chaas. Every single dish was exceptional. Worth mentioning is that the service, hygiene/cleanliness were as excellent as the food. Must try! Vegetarian options: Plenty!
I don t suggest Buffet at this place..
Been there for buffet . Food was great . Would highly recommend if you want to try south Indian breakfast
Nice buffet in tiffin
This review is coming from telugu Hyderabadi. Have been long loyal customer to minerva for so long. The food here is always on point. Today review is about weekend buffet. We reached 11.40 am and the buffet starts at 11am. It was fairly filled up with 80% tables taken. Firstly all the food items were covered i know to keep them warm but it was so huge to open and place the lid to take the food was so much hassle either switch to those half opening lids. The food was mostly empty most shocking part it the sambhar again not the taste but it was out we had to wait 20 mins for it to be refilled. I mean within 40 mins of buffet time everything was gone and they not refilling on time is disappointing. Puri were there for name sake on the buffet menu because they refill 5 puris at a time when 10 people are waiting. The chai cups were so small like it was difficult to hold it. It takes forever to put the damn chutney in the plate because again stupid tactic of using smallest spoon available in the world so you will get fed up and end up not taking it. Instead dont put the buffet i will rather go for ala carte always and never to this scam buffet
Chai is really good at this place.
Place is Little stinky when I enter but later went off .. Very good food though !! Food
Amazing food , we were here for buffet. It was hot and fresh. We will definitely come again ! Food
Plenty of parking options available. On weekends, please expect 20 - 30 minutes of wait time to get a table. Service is great and staff is very friendly and accommodating. Tried Mysore Bonda, Puri Bhajji and Dahi Vada (gave medu vada). Vegetarian options: All vegetarian options Parking: Plenty of parking available.
Food was mediocre, you could get a similar dosa for the same price just about anywhere in the city. The service was abysmal. We sat down and were not offered any water. Then received 2 disposable Kirkland water bottles without any glasses/cups for 5 people. Upon asking for glasses/cups twice we instead received two more bottles of water. We ordered tea, were told we needed to wait 20 minutes, ate our whole meal, 40 minutes later asked where the tea was and were told we needed to wait 10 more minutes. Were they picking the tea leaves? At the end of it all the special chai tasted the same as any other masala chai.
My first time here with my mum. The experience was amazing. Both of us enjoyed the food very much. The service was excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I will definitely come back for the weekend buffet.
I am a regular here and visit atleast once in two to three weeks. The food is very tasty, authentic and served by hospitable people. Palli (peanut) chutney idli is yummy and so is mirchi bajji (chilli fritter). Try the tawa bonda/vada if you are a street food ran. Otherwise, all the dosas are super tasty esp tomato chatpat dosa. Summer menu has mango specials too. They have the best Chai in GTA area! Highly recommend their weekend buffet too! All in all, great place for authentic South indian food. Two thumbs up Vegetarian options: Menu is mostly vegetarian and has a few egg delicacies. Parking: 25-30 Kid-friendliness: High chair, ramp for strollers Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp for wheelchair
Idlies and dosas were okay. Ragi Dosa was fine. Staff are friendly. However, they took one whole hour to serve the order. This was on a day when the restaurant wasnt even very busy. I dont think this is food worth that long a wait. The sauce in the dahi wada was dilute and I recommend steering clear of it. Food
What a lovely feast, each bite a journey home. Every dish delights, bringing back cherished flavors that cluck your tastebuds with nostalgia.
Dependable South Indian(Specially Andra style) food in GTA area! Tasty food, perfect quantity, Crispy Dosa, Soft Idly, Thali, Best Mirchi Bhaji & Punugulu and most importantly chutneys are just amazing. Perfect chutneys and sambar to complement the tiffin items. Really bad experience!! The service is soo slow that orders come after 25 minutes. And they charged me for the dosa I never ate and when we pointed out the manager comes and says there were many people waiting and your order is ready like so rude.
Excellent service. Came in with a group of 9. The staff here, treated us so well!
Good food with excellent customer service.
Best Hyderabadi tiffins. Couldnt find such appealing idlis anywhere else here . Would recommend to anyone wanting to try authentic idli dosas. Surprise - they have mysore bondas.
Good dosas, love the chutneys.
Fresh food...superb taste... clean and hygiene place
I went to this restaurant on mothers day for dinner with my mom and sister. When I tell you the food was so amazing and portion sizes were also very well kept. I am a very picky eater and I defiantly do not drink chai but there chai is to die for it is the best chai I have ever had in my entire life my headache instantly went away and i crave that chai everyday. the thali also has a lot of options and the portion of it was huge. my mom, sister and i shared it and it was so tasty and the spice and flavours were amazing. we also tried the idli and sambhar which was so flavourful as well. there are many options in the buffet and on the menu and there customer service and staff were so nice and polite with us. we did not have to wait long for anything the food came to us within 7 mins (or less) of us ordering and we got a table right away. the staff were so accommodating and so nice and sweet to us. I absolutely love this place and cant wait to try it again soon.
Amazing food . Good nature of staff . Food
