Pathetic taste and quality of food. This is actually a pizza joint and no longer a proper restaurant. We were misled by Agra word and thought it would have some delicacies from Agra. After reaching i did figure out that it's not what it looks on photos but we were tired and hungry. We could not finish aalo gobhi and paneer sabji. Chicken biryani was also just okay. You can try the Pizzas for indian flavors but it's not a place to sit with family for dining.
An incredible pizza AND Indian food spot with top notch service. Staff will make sure you leave satisfied 😋
The restaurant is just opposite to the Cedarbrae mall , beside Hakim opticals. I ordered a pannier biryani for a take away , the quant was top notch for the price, it costed $12.58 incl. tax. For the price the qty. was good though , compared to other top brand Indian cuisine restaurants. This actually is a decent one and also the owner is very customer-friendly as well. Just to mention, the Raita incl. is thick in nature which also is good in taste . Overall 9.0/10.
I was looking for a vegetarian/vegan restaurant to go to around the east end of Scarborough. The Taste of Agra came up as an option and I thought I would try it. Not even knowing where this was I was shocked to see that it was tucked away in a parking lot and attached with a Double Double Pizza restaurant. Whe I got there I was a little confused as to where we were however you realize right away that there is both an Indian menu on one wall and the Double Double menu on another - yes it is weird but it works. There are about 5 to 7 tables to sit at and I have to say the service was good. The gentleman that served was absolutely kind and we got our order placed right away. He explained that the original restaurant is in Coburg and they opened this one about 2 years ago. For three dishes it took almost 15 minutes solid and when we did get the food it was excellent. The gentleman who served us brought us plates, utensils, and poured water from a copper jug into copper glasses which was a really nice touch. Portions were very good for the price and I must say there was nothing that was lacking. 3 dishes ordered: vegetable biryani + panner butter masala + butter chicken and naan. I think people might be turned off by the location and looks BUT trust me - you can not say anything about hte quality of food, price and portions! Wishing this establishment all the best! Thank you!
The food is really great. And portion size is big. The fried chicken was tasty. Chicken biryani was alright for $10.
My wife and I visited The Taste of Agra this afternoon and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was phenomenal and the environment and feel was authentic. Highly recommend.
The food is amazing! I want to get a good picture but it smelled so good I dug right in! The atmosphere was quaint, I wish they has some Indian music playing in the background but we arrived close to closing and they still accommodated us and gave us a free appetizer!
I had a beautiful day in Cobourg and this restaurant made my evening blissful. The taste of Indian cuisine is authentic and service is really good but the wait is little longer. The ambience is nice and options are really good, recommend this place.
Excellent word Vegetarian options: Mutter pani Food : 5/5 |
Great food. Fair prices. Friendly staff.
I just love the food and service . It has become my one of the favourite restaurant.
It has always been my go to if I crave Indian Food. Very good food and service.
Tasty and worthy
Best customer satisfaction guarantee
In my top 10 of restaurants in Toronto for sure!!
The worst dal makhani I ordered now Never buy food from here on
Had paneer biryani, super good must try.
Fantastic food. I ordered the garlic naan with butter chicken and chicken biryani. Very flavourful with very good portions. Service was top notch, will be looking forward to trying other items on their menu
Nice food with affordable cost
Good food and nice owner and everything perfect for regular meal
I highly recommend not to visit this place ever in your life we order palak paneer and dal makhni and both doesn t have any taste their drinks are useless too.
Paneer biryani here has an awesome pickups. I would personally prefer that.
One of the best i tried in toronto. Must visit. The staff is so good and friendly
They have a delicious wide variety of Indian dishes. Amazing quality and always fresh. I d highly recommend this restaurant for people looking for catering as well - they will not disappoint! Their garlic naan, goat curry and butter chicken are some of our family favourites.
Hidden gem this place is ! Ambience is okay but the food was really tasty ! We had chicken biryani & chicken tikka, very flavourful. Chicken was well cooked ! Service is also good, the person at the counter was very welcoming :) will definitely visit again :)
Great tasting chicken Not dry like some places. Decent price Recommended dishes
One of the best chicken biriyani in toronto. Just loved it!! The customer service was also satisfying. Food
Great food good service
Good food and service
Amazing food
Hidden gem of Toronto, chicken curry best in town full on quantity . Mouthwatering taste . Awesome service supersoft butter naan Must try their pizza also Food
Good food
Not a real restaurant. This place does not look like the place the pictures described. Food was horrible. Do not come here.
Vegetarian options: Its very good and tasty Parking: 3420 Lawrence Avenue unit 2 Scarborough on M1H1A9 Kid-friendliness: Friends
You go to many Indian / srillankan food in Toronto but this takes one takes one notch higher . Succulent food with aromatic and delicious taste is just a epicures paradise !! Don t forget naan , butter chicken and dal makhani !!
I have been looking for a top quality Indian restaurant that could provide great tasting authentic cuisine for groups ranging from 5 to 20 people. Recently I hosted a lunch for a group of 20 including 5 vegetarians. Rajah helped with main dish and sides selection including recommendations of their available small and large group size options. The service and food were outstanding. I had many requests for the name of the restaurant. Strongly recommend. I will be using them regularly moving forward. Vegetarian options: The Chana masala and palak paneer were both outstanding. Huge chunks of paneer make the latter a big hit.
This location isn t like the pictures shown. It s a very different location. The curries are served single, without any rice or naan, so you pay extra for even the naan. It s very disappointing, and the first restaurant I ve seen that does this. The taste was alright but the service and price not worth it. Definitely not a place for dine-in.
Didn t even care to cut the vegetables properly. Seriously guys
Dont belive the pictures! We went in as a party of 5. Its a very small restaurant and they dont even have most of the menu posted online. The service is slow and the food is not tasty at all.
Easily the best butter chicken you ll find in the Toronto area. The Garlic Naan bread from here was amazing as well. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone.
Amazing place!! Absolutely love the music, vibes and the food. They are the BEST place to get cultural food in cobourg. 5 stars 100%!!
Ordered takeout for Daal Makhni and Naan. The food was delicious!
Been there twice got the chicken biryani and mutton biryani. Food has flavour and spice levels I expect for a biryani. Definitely worth stopping by if you want to spice up your lunch.
My waitress (Romana) was extremely kind and lovely!! I also ver much enjoyed her jokes!! Also the food was super amazing!! 10/10, recommended!!
It took 1.5 hr to serve the food and also the server/receptionist was very rude, unwelcoming, unprofessional, arrogant and negligent. They will not respect your money and time.
The food was delicious! We had the samosas, veg pakora (very addicting!) garlic naan, lamb curry and biryani. Everything was very fresh and flavourful! We didn t get any sauce for the samosa or pakora but honestly we didn t miss it! Everything tasted so good as is the service was very friendly, and they helped us pack up the leftovers. Thanks for the great food!
The food here was amazing, Romana made sure that we were good our entire time here
Ordered the butter chicken and it did not disappoint. Food was great and Romana was an amazing server.
Food is amazing! The naan is unreal and definitely over ordered not realizing how big they were, ordered the tikka masala and curry chicken, and vegetable rice, full of amazing flavour, totally impressed with this hometown gem!
Worst service. The restaurant was so dirty. Food quality wasn t good
Worst Ever Food tasted in Scarborough
Worst Food ever. Would not recommend
Loved the food. Thank you Food
Vegetarian options: It was very good so delicious cuisine I loved it must visit Food
Deceptively good, just try it
Wonderful atmosphere and service. The food was too good.
Good place to hangout with a bunch of friends.. We had Naan and chicken tikka masala one day and we also had chicken biriyani on a separate occasion.. tasted pretty good and was in an affordable price range.. Overall a good experience
The food was delicious. The restaurant is a 2-in-1 setup which is merged with Double Double Pizza so it was a bit confusing at first. The food tasted like homemade food and we were given free onion salad. The cashier was a nice guy.
Love the food here. The butter chicken and butter naan is my go-to everytime. Take-out or dine-in, food is freshly made in no time. Everything reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend.
We tried lamb biriyani and butter chicken from there few days back. The lamb biryani at the restaurant was flavorful and aromatic, with tender pieces of lamb complementing the perfectly spiced rice. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, striking a delightful balance of spices. Both dishes showcased the chefs skill in crafting authentic and satisfying Indian cuisine.
The food is to expensive
As a delivery guy I hope everyone enjoy their food. When try it
The restaurant is takeout only now and very short staffed thanks to COVID but the food was delicious nonetheless. We ordered a selection of lamb, vegetarian and chicken dishes - all were extremely tasty with ample portions. The nan was particularly good - we ordered one plain, one garlic & one butter - all were perfectly cooked and served to help lap up the last of the delicious sauces. It all took rather longer than expected because the chef was working on his own but well worth the wait.
Chef Rahman carefully crafts each recipe with the use of an array of locally sourced produce. His use of traditional baking techniques as well as his extensive knowledge of spices and herbs will gaurantee to invigorate your palate.
Really nice food and atmosphere
We stopped in on our way home to Toronto from an Ottawa+Kingston road trip for an early dinner and were not disappointed. The service was very courteous and prompt. The restaurant was not yet very busy so the turn around on our order was very fast, but no quality was not sacrificed. Everything came to our table freshly prepared, steaming hot and just the right amount of spice heat to bring out all the amazing flavours. We enjoyed all of our dishes: Baingan Bharta(Smoked Eggplant), Lamb Curry, Vegetable Biryani and a Garlic Naan - generous portions provided plenty of food for two hungry adults. Will definitely return on a future visit to Cobourg.
Amazing staff! Very friendly and attentive! The food was also incredible (spicy!).
Top notch lamb biryani, friendly staff and fast service without compromising on quality. You should go!
Very friendly staff. We reached around 8:45 pm and even though they close at 9 pm, the manager still welcomed us for Dinner. One of the finest lamb biryani I ever had. Especially the lamb was so juicy and tasted amazing.Loved it.
The Palak paneer is to die for!
I dont understand the positive reviews? Maybe if you had all the time in the world to sit in this place. Wish I could give zero stars. Went for dine in.. Waited over an hour & 20 minutes!!!! Didnt even bring us the drinks we ordered. First and last time Im ever going here. Nobody could pay me to go back. Food tasted like it was microwaved / reheated.
Food tasted incredible, complex and nuanced, rich flavours. Owner went out of his way to serve us a top-notch meal during staff shortage, very honest and generous.
Food is incredibly good. Portions are perfect.
No vagetarion food
Ordered Lamb Biryani through Uber Eats, the biryani was so tangy. The taste of tamarind was so overpowering. I have never seen anyone adding chucks of potatoes in a briyani. I guees they added it to compensate the tamarind tatse. Overall it wasnt even a biryani, it was a tangy rice with chunks of potatoes and lamb.
AMAZING & GENEROUS
These naan were amazing, but these 2 stars are for the uncle with grey hair who makes people uncomfortable while they are eating. Please work on your customer service. This is unacceptable.
Ordered from Skip the Dishes and they sent me a different item. Had to go to the restaurant physically and ask them to replace with the original item I ordered. Well they made it for me but the chicken was not cooked properly(raw) and stale. Even one star is too much for this place. Horrible experience.
Excellent spot for delicious Indian foods. Garlic naan and butter chicken is must try. The chicken fries are yummy and filling at affordable price.
Horrible food!! The chicken biriyani was the worst I have ever had, it s was basically gravy chicken with rice. The lamb tikka masala was bland and dry.
Surprisingly tasty Indian food. Very clean and not oily. Really friendly staff.
This was amazing! Would defiantly recommend. The portion sizes were great! It was a little busy which is great during the pandemic so they threw in some pakoras! Thank you!
Good food with warm hospitality
Call right now and order this: Onion bhaji 2 Plain naan 2 Pulao rice 2 Palak Paneer 2 baingan bharta 1 Chana masala 900 Gulab jarmun Pay whatever it costs and enjoy your new life in Flavour City. Are you asking yourself, wow, how many people is she ordering for? Were in a pandemic. As a matter of fact, you Nosey Nelly, there are 2 adults in my home. Are you now wondering, wow, how small are the portions? WELL GUESS WHAT, JUDGY JUDITH? THEYRE ACTUALLY HUGE. But youll be sad when you cant eat this same meal like 5x in a row, so Im saving you having to call and order again the next day by getting as many as youre gonna need the first time. Youre welcome.
Good
The food was delicious and the portion sizes were amazing! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will personally be ordering more from here.
I love this place
Great food, friendly staff and good prices!
Delicious, thank you. Onion bhajis and chicken tikka among the best Ive ever had.
Ordered from this place again over the weekend..... NEVER DISAPPOINTS! The food is the most flavourful food Ive ever eaten and the portions are massive for such low prices! They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options which is important to me and my family. Taste of Agra remains one of my favourite restaurants in Northumberland County! 5 STARS!
Ordered naan, butter chicken and chicken tikka. Naan was crispy, butter chicken was very flavourful and chicken tikka tasted very authentic. Restaurant s interior decoration looked really good, I would definitely be dine-in the next time I visit cobourg.
We got take-out: on time, delicious, giant portions.
Great food, great service.
I ordered at 8:07 pm on Friday night, and the lady told me to be there in 20 mins. I was there at 8:24 and they were closed. Either dont take the order or dont close the doors on customers. So disappointing. Very unprofessional. I will never order again from here.
I want to start this review with two caveats: importantly the food is amazing, a perfect five. Two- I understand that this is a stressful and awful time to own a restaurant in Ontario With that said tonight we ordered online and when my wife went in to pick up the order she was not treated well. There was an issue with the online order not sending and the staff went on the offensive blaming my wife for the issues when all it would take to make it right would be to just make the order. It was a strange interaction and Im going to assume this isnt normal. The food is great but I strongly recommend calling in the order and not using the website. Im looking forward to attending the restaurant in person when indoor dining becomes the norm to no doubt rectify this experience and hopefully update my review to the five that given better service this restaurant clearly deserves
Fantastic food. Treat yourself!
The best Indian food I ve ever had, the best food I ve had in Cobourg! Can t wait to go back!
I went there with my wife, toddler and mother-in-law for dinner tonight and the food was fantastic. The service was excellent. The lady who was working there (who I believe might be the owner) gave my child rice and onion bhaji and he loved it. He also enjoyed the chicken curry. We also the tikka lamb masala and chicken tikka masala along with aloo naan. We have been to numerous Indian restaurants all over and Taste of Agra easily is among the best. Everything was very flavourful. Normally we dont care for onion bhaji but this one was much better than at other places. I strongly recommend you go here. Portion sizes are also generous compared to other Indian restaurants.
Amazing food and service!
First visit to Cobourg. A lovely little town. We spent a wonderful day there and it ended with an incredible meal. We enjoyed ourselves. The dishes were delicious and the service wonderful. Thanks to the chef and the nice lady who took care of us. Thank you R.. for your kindness and nice words. God bless you
By far the best Indian restaurant Ive been to.
We went from Toronto to couborg beach and had dinner in this restaurant, dood is deli9, staff is very nice kind and helpful, specially Rey was very lovely their hospitality is so much appreciated
Me and my boyfriend just went out for a dinner, we had great service and a great experience It was very delicious
After going to a beach we went for dinner here as it s closest and only one Indian restaurant. I never had such tasteless food in my life. After looking non Indian crowd there I asked to bring spicy food but server didn t even note that down. Simple Indian chai was also just watery. Menu says with Indian spices but I do make better chai everyday than the tea they offered for the money. Chicken from the starters was very dry. Chiken curry was very tasteless, watery and just hint of Indian spices. Very bland food.
The food was quite good but their billing leaves a lot to be desired. We paid way more than we should have and the bill was not itemized. My partner didn t want to cause a fuss so we left with a bad taste in our mouths. Decided to try it again. Supposedly got a free appetizer because of the length of time we waited. We asked for an itemized bill. Once again the bill was quite inflated and an excuse for why it wasn t itemized. Acted like this was just a problem at the moment but we knew better. Ask for an itemized bill and don t leave without one.
Really good quality dishes !
Great Indian food. Onion Bhajis are the best!
My husband and I ordered take out from here. The chicken biryani and the lamb biryani tasted very flavourful and we both enjoyed it. The lamb and the chicken were both juicy and tender and very good portion sizes! We will be back to order more!
Great food
It is a lovely restaurant. The food was quite good, but expensive.
Food was really good. The service was slow but I know good food takes time. Also, the waitress (I believe part-owner) came to us after we ordered and asked if we wanted samosas. My impression was that it was complimentary because it wasnt a menu item. However, when I got the bill a charge of $15 was added. $15 for 5 samosas - the most expensive samosas I was ever tricked into buying.
We ordered takeout - the chicken tikka masala was no different than butter chicken and the lamb tikka masala was very watery, tasted like soup. The biryani was by far the worst I have ever had as if the rice was taken out of the freezer and reheated. We ended up tossing out most of the food. Waste of money.
It may be spicy for some people but I found it just spicy enough. Had enough to take home for leftovers. It was really good and I highly recommend.
Really good!
I visited this restaurant with some friends and we had a great experience. The woman who looked after us was so kind and accommodating. I can t say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend!
Very nice place with an authentic Indian feel!
Amazing food! Great atmosphere. My friends and I tried chicken tikka and butter chicken and we all loved it. They also make fresh naan bread! The staff was also so nice and accommodating I definitely will recommend everyone to go there and will be returning.
If you are looking for an excellent place for Indian cuisine, look no further.
An absolute incredible dining experience. A bottle of wine, two entrees and sides for under $70. Dinner and service was fantastic.
Excellent food and service. A well paced meal. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The food is horrible, biryani tastes like pulao and chicken curry is sour seems like cooked long time back. We asked for garlic nun and waitress provided plain nun. Very disappointed, not suggested
Absolutely the worst Indian food that I ever had. Stay away from this place. You been warned.
Restaurant interior is immaculate the way it is themed The servers are very very friendly and welcoming ! The service is very quick and menus are straightforward easy to read ! Most importantly the food is 100% on point , as close as youre going to get to The taste of India Agra the best Indian food Ive had hands down ! Right in the heart of Cobourg give them a try
Good food and friendly staff but a little slow on food service. Wasnt many people in the restaurant at the time.
Food took almost an hr before it reached the table. 3 hairs were found in the food and blamed the customer for needing to pull her back.
Ordered for takeaway and was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious and so fragrant. Had butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and the garlic naan, A++!
Excellent food! Ready for us to pickup in 30 min. Following covid rules. Our family will for sure order from here again! Lucky to have this quality of food in our community. Prices were good as well as quantity!
We have been here many times, and the food is always excellent. The only problem weve had is that the wait can be quite long after you order your food, I think it was once an hour... which is a problem with small children! Service is great, and they are always friendly, and children friendly
Very bad service. The rice came in with a long curly hair inside and the server who is also the owner acted like it was something normal. She didnt offer to replace the food or take it out from the bill. If you enjoy eating hair along with your food, this might be the place for you.
Awesome, awesome! The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. The portion sizes are huge though - I could barely finish everything. All in all a great experience!
Food was great but we had to wait a while. Could have been due to circumstances as to why the wait was long but the food was filling. Great Restaurant I
Delicious food. Kind people. Worth the visit.
Very Nice food. Very surprising for a Little Town!
Great food
Fabulous food. A must try
We went on a evening to eat, was very nice experience. The appetizer were too good, as they brought it like Sizzlers as hot it was. Main course was good. Overall a very good place to eat. The people working were too friendly too.
Delicious food.. friendly staff.. superbb service
Amazing food and wonderful service. Ive been to north India and this restaurant is the best Indian food Ive had in Canada! Plus the workers are so kind and sweet. The ambiance is really nice too, lots of Indian artifacts and decor which makes the place really beautiful. I definitely recommend this place!!!
Best service and food hands down! Have been to many many restaurants, and especially Indian restaurants but this has been by far the best tasting, most clean and perfectionist service I have ever experienced! Definitely recommend!
Delicious food and great service, the owner was extremely nice and friendly. Very clean restaurant, we will surely come again.
What an amazing Culinary experience. Cobourg is blessed to have this amazing Food option. The menu is extensive & they offer a less spicy option for those concerned about the heat but I say Bring it on.
Great authentic Indian food. Great service in a friendly atmosphere.
Delicious Indian food here. Great service and very clean restaurant. Tastes amazing.
In a word: pretentious. The stereotypical decor should have been the primary indicator that this was going to be a negative experience. Servers were few, rushed and dismissive. The food clearly had been gentrified and dialed-back from authentic Indian fare. The servings were quite small and the pieces of meat were few and far between. To be clear: service was painfully slow. One table got up and left. Others were loudly complaining. Bottom line: not worth the portion size compared to the bloated prices.
My family loves eating at Taste of Agra! The food is so delicious, we always enjoy our experience here. The staff are so friendly, and their passion for great food shows! You must try Taste of Agra if you re in Cobourg, you will love it.
Great food well served and well priced.
Yummy Indian food. Great taste good price and quantity.
The food was heavenly! If I lived in Coburg I would eat here every day. We stopped in Coburg for the afternoon and decided to try Taste of Agra for Saturday lunch. Ray, our hostess, was wonderful and patient as we decided upon the many delectable choices. I will probably make Coburg a regular destination for no other reason than to eat at this restaurant.
We had dinner on a Saturday at Taste of Agra in Cobourg. I have eaten at at many Indian restaurants over the past forty-five years. Taste of Agra is the best of them all. There were subtleties in the flavours that I had never experienced before. Everything on my plate was not only enjoyable, it was superior. I would have expected to pay a lot more for a dinner so delicious in all its particulars. Were from Oakville. Were going to be exploring more in eastern Ontario now that we know we can have our lunch or dinner at Taste of Agra.
I ordered multiple items for pick up. One of the items was supposed to be vegetarian but it turned out to be pork and rice. They were kind enough to deliver the correct food and added an extra dish by way of an apology. Excellent integrity and customer service! In the end, the food was delicious too! Thanks
Food was just average. I had okra, chicken curry, and lamb Biryani. Could distinctly taste sugar in the okra, and chicken curry. Thats not very authentic Indian at all. Portion sizes were also small for the price. Atmosphere was ok, server was pushy, stood over us and waited until we ordered, and pushing us to order more food than we wanted.
Extremely tasty food, amazing service and food is fresh. Most importantly its all nut free n that was a blessing for my daughter as she is allergic to nuts.
What a gem! Food is absolutely delicious! We get service with a smile and a great dining experience. They have a good selection of wine and several menu items are vegetarian, even a few vegan options!
Surprised with so many good reviews. Food we ordered was not very good. vegetable biryani had five jumbo pieces of potato and little bit of rice, no other vegetables. Pulao was the same without potato. When asked why there are no other vegetables the waitress said that is how biryani is made!
Best indian food must try butter chicken, okra and naan
Great night ! Superb food, super service, nice ambiance! Well go back for sure!
This is a gem of a restaurant in downtown Cobourg, food and staff are both amazing. You will not be disappointed.
The best Indian food Ive ever had! Even better than Toronto places Ive been to which was the previous holder of best food for me and my family! Service was great: staff were friendly and prompt. Special thanks to Ray who went above and beyond to list all the vegan options, which were plenty. She even gave us samosas free of charge to take home to try because they were the only vegan food we didnt order. The eggplant dish was beyond amazing! Very flavourful, perfectly salted, and not too spicy. My only recommendation would be adding a vegan dessert option but overall 10/10! Will definitely be coming back and bringing friends.
Dined in. Wait staff tried to upsell us on rice and samosas. Small portions for the price. Received cold daal. Also saw cook staff microwaving food in the kitchen. Would not go again and would not recommend.
Just came out after lunch, ordered Aloo Gobhi - it was boiled aloo and gobhi tossed in more oil and less masala, aloo was whole, Matar - Paneer - average nothing great. Staff, service, ambiance is nice but the food was very disappointing.
The food is always amazing here, but service is incredulously slow. If youre doing anything else in the same evening than plan atleast for 2 hours for dinner service.
A must to go place in cobourg !!!
We made a spontaneous trip to Cobourg and ended up at the Taste of Agra. My wife who is vegan is quite particular and they appeared to have a variety of things that suited her on the menu. We were not disappointed. The food was Great. Service was friendly and attentive. Decor is very nice. I dont know how long they have been there, but it looks like it was just updated inside. Seemed very clean and comfortable. We had the Chana Masala, Maash Daal & Lamb Biryani. The Naan was also very authentic and really was a great accompaniment to the meal. Cold water was served in a traditional Indian pot with metal cups, immediately upon being seated. It reminded us of our favourite Indian restaurant when we were in BC, and we had yet to find its equal in Ontario until now. As we are from the GTA, we did not expect to come back any time soon, but were happy to hear that they are opening up a location in Oshawa very soon. We will be checking it out for sure.
Im completely shocked that this place has such a high rating. Had chana masala and daal and the chana masala was pretty much tasteless and he daal was fridge cold. Not to mention they up-sold me food, saying that one portion is not enough which was extremely unnecessary and ended up being super wasteful! I come from an Indian background and am obviously very familiar with this cuisine and Taste of Agra was no where near what they CLAIM to be not to mention its obviously extremely gentrified...
We enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered for lunch. Only one server but she did an admirable job of keeping up.
Food was excellent, unfortunately they mixed up the bill 3 times and ended up charging us more then they should have, and had a problem refunding.. just watch your bill
Amazing food quality and very impressing service.
The food was really awesome and the service was great especially the girl in the counter was so nice. The best Indian food I ever had from Canada.
Out of rice, cold/stale pakoras, good chicken curry, great eggplant.
We just had an amazing dinner with the most outstanding sauces. We all loved it and we will most definitely be back! Im glad oshawa is experiencing more culture.
Excellent authentic Indian food. Great atmosphere. Overall excellent! Highly recommended!!
Great service great tasting food
Price a little on the high side, but damn good food!
Naan.chicken tikka palak paneer mango lassie all very good. Love Indian food
I would have given it 0 stars if that was an option. I order MILD butter chicken, and I can say that this was not mild by any definition. In total I spent $70 bucks here and cant eat the butter chicken, it will end up in the garbage. I have had butter chicken from a few other restaurants and have never had a problem like this ever. Very, very disappointed, the jar stuff from the supermarket is actually better.
We were 7 people in total and ordered over seven dishes altogether. The vegetarian dishes were good but all the 5 lamb, chicken and prawn items were not good at all. The meat pieces in the lamb curry were dry and seemed were added later to the gravy and did not have any taste. I couldnt tell the difference between the lamb Biryani and veg Biryani. It was the same rice mixed with just the meat and veg. And the veg biriyani only had potato and no other veggies..very disappointing. It was totally not worth it. Will not recommend.
Came here for a late dinner after the original restaurant choice was unexpectedly closed and couldnt have been more pleased. The atmosphere was great and the food was perfect in selection, quality and price. We went in with no expectations and left with a new favourite spot. Great for groups as many of the dishes are shareable. Ray was so friendly and provided us with great service and suggestions! Great addition to our small town! We will definitely be returning.
Amazing food, very friendly. I would eat here again!
Great food and wonderful company
Anytime I get a craving for Indian I end up travelling quite a distance. I tried Taste of Agra and couldn t have been happier with the result. Not only is the staff absolutely lovely every time I am in (and wonderful with my young daughter), the food has been great each time I have ordered. I asked about an off-menu item and was told just ask! . For my next take out order I asked and couldn t have been more pleased with the result. So so happy that the Taste of Agra has come to Cobourg. Definitely recommend.
Authentic food, lovely atmosphere, nice people. What a combo! Truly delicious. Highly recommend.
I seen them microwaving food disgusting
I have eaten Indian food many times and this is the best I have ever had. The restaurant is very clean, the service excellent and menu choices are plentiful. This is an amazing Little gem to have in Cobourg.
One of best experience. The taste of food was delicious and service was also really appreciative. I am very happy with the restaurant. I will definitely suggest someone to experience it!!! Ambiance also deserves one star of 5 stars!!
We eat a lot of Indian food, and I have to say we were very impressed!! The atmosphere is no frills but dont let that discouraged your dining experience. The taste competes with high end Indian you would get in GTA. Authentic dinnerware, and very fresh well though of ingredients they dont skimp so it full flavour!!! Our server was spectacular very friendly and told us to look forward to the buffet opening in Port Hope this winter, i cannot wait! The pricing is fair also, I will have to say my only regret is not trying it sooner. Thank you for bringing this to Cobourg, we highly recommend for anyone who loves Indian or spicy food.
Authentic indian cuisine. I ordered lamb curry , rice and samosas. All perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
We tried take-out for our first experience with the Taste of Agra of 2 orders of Curry Chicken. The order was placed just before 6:00 pm on Friday evening and was ready for pick-up with 10 minutes. The portions were generous. My wife found the curry too hot and not very tasty. In our home, we cook curry frequently and have eaten in many Indian restaurants in the Toronto area.
