I ordered from Oven fresh for our party (35ppl). We placed the order at Oven fresh Oshawa. Everything was taken care by Abhi. He responded well for my queries. We ordered Ghee rice, chicken roast, paneer butter masala, Mango mint drink and Onion pakoda. Everything was tasty and the quantity was more than expected. They arranged delivery at an additional cost and was made on time. I am very happy with the food and service.

Yesterday, I ordered Kizhi Porotta and Alfam Chicken, but it was disappointing. The chicken had an unpleasant smell from the bones, and the meat felt old and recooked, making it very tough. A couple of months ago, we also ordered a chicken biryani tray for 15 people, and it was only average as well. Ive been a regular customer for a while, and the quality and taste used to be great. However, it seems to be getting worse over time. I suspect the chef may have changed.

Recently I bought a kaima biriyani tray from here, the taste was amazing and there was also enough quantity. My friends also liked the food very much

Honestly this was my favourite Kerala restaurant in this area and had been a regular customer since the beginning. Especially for their Biriyani and snacks. But recently I have noticed in multiple orders the QUANTITY has been reduced. Especially in online orders. It s so disappointing and I hope they will address this issue and maintain the consistency in all orders.

I visited The Oven Fresh today (12/11/2024)looking forward to a nice meal. Unfortunately, the service fell far short of expectations. I waited almost 15 minutes and even then, the girls seemed rushed and uninterested in helping me feel welcome. When i politely looked at them, the response was dismissive, making me feel like i wasn t valued. They kept taking other customers who came after me but didn t cared about me. I hope management can focus on training staff to be more attentive, as this could be a great restaurant with the right improvements.

This place feels like a mini Kerala to me! I ve tried many Kerala restaurants, but none have come close to delivering an authentic biryani experience until now. The Malabar biryani here transported me straight back to Paragon in Calicut. And it s not just the biryani every dish I ve tried has been absolutely delicious. Truly a hidden gem!

I m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with this restaurant. The service was slow and inattentive, with long wait courses. Server seemed overwhelmed and uninterested. Orders took excessively long to arrive. Unfortunately, I wouldn t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I have ordered many times from this store. Appam is so soft and has good aroma. It is also apt for kids because of its spice level. Now this has become my go to place for take aways.

I tried the Kerala kappa and fish curry and it was amazing! The kappa was perfectly cooked, and the fish curry was rich and flavorful. Great food and a cozy vibe highly recommend!

Recently, we enjoyed the Onam Sadhya from Oven Fresh, and it was absolutely delicious! The ada pradhaman, lime pickle, and pineapple kichadi were especially standout. We ve always been big fans of their variety of puffs and Kerala snacks, and once again, they didn t disappoint.

Oven Fresh is easily among the best Kerala food restaurants in all of GTA. We have ordered from them multiple times for large parties and every single time, the food has been great and the quality of service is unmatched (including how well the food was packaged and delivered). They are also very professional in terms of working with you to choose the best items (and suggesting the right quantities) for catering orders, making the experience quite seamless and smooth. I highly reccommend oven fresh and I am also looking forward to their new dine in & takeout location at Oshawa. What a great option for authentic Malayali food in the Durham region!

Recently ordered Appam and chicken mappas from Oven fresh it was so yummy will order again.

I recently ordered takeout from Oven Fresh and was disappointed with the experience. The service was very slow, causing me to wait much longer than expected for my order. To make matters worse, one of the items I ordered was missing when I got home. While the food I did receive was tasty, the delays and missing dish really detracted from the overall experience. Customer service is a crucial part of success in the food industry, and I hope they can improve their efficiency and attention to detail in the future.

The portion size for takeout is disappointingly small, even with the large box. We ordered the large chicken fry, but were surprised to find only 4 small pieces in it. Quite unsatisfactory considering the price.

I visited and ordered food several times from here more than 10times. Not even a single time I got disappointed. Very clean and fresh food . Taste is also exceptional . I specially enjoyed their snacks egg-chicken-beef puff , cutlets , banana fry and all snack are outstanding. I tried Kerala snacks from different places but oven fresh is the only place I really get things with actual fresh, Less oil in and taste of Kerala. Recently, I ordered the Kerala Sadya , I must say not a single curry disappointed us . There are lot of curries in the single package with two payasam , and boli should ordered separately if needed. Every thing was Sooo good. Customer service is also excellent. From my perspective, if we are serving any food , serve it with high quality otherwise don t. That s y I like Oven fresh , their food has high quality and less oil . I noticed many other Kerala restaurants serving Kerala snacks and it tastes very bad and oily. Atmosphere is also very clean. Only thing is no space for dining but as long as food is good that s manageable. Parking is available, I never had any parking issue there

REALLY LOVED THIER ONAM SADYA. TRIED THIER BIRIYANI IS WAS GREAT. AND I LOVE THIER PAZHAMPORI.

We had made an onam sadya order for 8 people but 3 of the items were enough for only 6 people. Also when we opened the sadya at around 4 30pm many of the dishes turned bad and we had to throw them away. The remaining dishes also had to be thrown away by night. Overall it was a very bad experience.

Had a really bad experience ordering Tiffin from oven fresh because the amount of food was very less most of the day especially breakfast and the meal was never according to the menu. They promised saying they would send the new menu multiple times but didnt receive one. Once the chicken curry was bad and the container burst open too, when informing them they said they would send extra meal the upcoming day but didnt do that either. So disappointed with the experience. However, the food for dine in and take out are much better.

We were a group of 17 people who ordered onam sadya, and the payasam( desert) was completely spoilt. They asked us to order food as a group rather than ordering it individually so that the quantity will be more than ordering the latter but ended up with rice that was not even sufficient for 15 people. When we came back to the restaurant to return the spoilt desert the attitude of the lady in front desk was not appealing at all and also very arrogant. I dont want to specify her name but the way she spoke to us is not the way a person in customer service should have spoken and hiring such people is definitely going to affect the business of the restaurant in the long run for sure. The quality, quantity and the service of the restaurant was very poor and definitely not going to order from this restaurant again.

Ordered food from the restaurant and one of the dishes ordered was completely spoilt. Also faced problem with the quantity served which was absolutely insufficient for the number of people it was ordered for. When we called them for further enquiries with the order the lady on the other end of the phone was very rude and arrogant. We also had to wait for a very long time to get the order and it is not the right restaurant to place bulk orders. Never going back to this restaurant again and I regret the decision for placing the order with this restaurant.

Worst customer service ever

I recently had a mixed experience when ordering through their online website. While the food taste was excellent, I faced issues with the delivery. One time, the delivery was delayed, but the more disappointing experience was when my order arrived incomplete. When I contacted the restaurant, they explained that because the order was fulfilled through DoorDash or Uber Eats, they had no way of tracking the issue. I found this frustrating, as I believe there should be a system in place to ensure that incomplete orders are resolved, regardless of the delivery service used. To add to the disappointment, when I requested a refund, I only received a refund for the item itself, excluding the tax, which left me feeling unsatisfied, especially as this happened on my birthday. I believe more attention should be given to tracking deliveries and handling refunds more comprehensively to ensure a better customer experience.

Their dishes are consistently finger-licking good, and Ive tried everything on their menu. My all-time favorite is their Pazham Pori. Whenever I crave authentic Kerala food, The Oven Fresh is the place I visit because I know they deliver exactly what I m longing for. My friends have also become fans of The Oven Fresh. The food here is spectacular- full of flavour and depth. I ordered a full tray of biriyani for a birthday function; the food was hot, incredible, well- flavoured and cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were massive and very filling. They do have a delectable snacks menu too ; highly recommend their banana fritters and egg puffs.

The only disadvantage is they don t have facilities for dine in except 4 chairs .If they can provide a small dine in facility with a washbasin it s a good spot for small hangout for the mallus in Canada

Good food, but service is extremely slow. Doesnt make a difference if you call and order ahead or order online, its always a wait once you reach the store. The line moves at snails pace. If your counter staff is overworked, please consider hiring more people to move things along faster. Another thing- There have been a couple of times when Ive explicitly asked the staff if an item is ready and available now before ordering and paying the bill. Once Ive paid, theyll say 5 minutes to get the item and then as usual 5 turns to 10 to 15 and so on. Overall- Food is great, but please respect the time of your customers.

We recently ordered Kaima Rice Biriyani from this restaurant after having enjoyed their Kaima Biriyani at an event previously. Unfortunately, this time was quite disappointing. The biryani had a strong, overpowering essence, almost like perfume, that hit us as soon as we opened the box. The taste was similarly affected, with the essence overwhelming the flavors of the dish.It would be much better if they avoided using this essence. On a positive note, the chicken was well-cooked and nicely fried. Also, please note that no salad or pickle is included with the order. We also tried the Alfam Chicken, and it was well-cooked, tasted perfect, and was reasonably priced.

I recently tried the Chickoo shake by Babuettan, and its a must-try item highly recommended.

Oven Fresh was entrusted with the full service catering for one of our family events for about 200+ people. The guest were delighted with the taste of food. The order included everything from starters to Desert. We had also ordered the event cake which was too good. Very professional service and we would recommend them anytime we are asked for a trusted caterer.

We had been searching for a restaurant that truly captures the authentic taste of Kerala food. After trying various places, we always felt that something was missing. One day, a friend gave me an egg puffs that tasted amazing and suggested a this location. We went there and ordered chicken puffs and pazhampori. Oh my god, it tasted just like home, exactly in the Kerala style. I don t know how they make it, but it brought me back to my roots. Now, I m a regular customer. I ve also tried their biryani, which is equally delicious. Everything they serve is exceptional, and the employees are incredibly friendly. This place keeps me coming back for more!

Have some decent selection of Kerala snacks but Sometimes there could be a long wait to get you food even though there are less customers The customer service recently feels like its sub par, instances where they forget to pack your full order staff could be understaffed and u would have to wait a long time to get your food.

Recently I had the chance to taste the food from Oven Fresh. I have been surprised by the authentic taste of the dish I ordered. So far in Ontario I tried many restaurants, but for the first time felt the authentic taste of my back home dishes. Ive been to this place a couple of times with my Mallu friends, and the food has always been good, which is the only reason we keep coming back. However, the customer service is incredibly poor. Today, I made sure to get the name of the girl responsible for the terrible service its either Ancy or Blossom (some say Ancy and others say Blossom, so Im not sure which one is correct). This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, and it really spoils the whole experience. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issues with their staff. Thank you

I ordered Chicken Biriyani and Pork Fry from for my birthday, and it was amazing! The Chicken Biriyani had great flavor and tender chicken, while the Pork Fry was perfectly crispy and seasoned well. The catering from Oven Fresh for a birthday party featured Kappa Biriyani, Porotta, and gravy. The Kappa Biriyani was flavorful with tender tapioca and well-seasoned beef.
