The jerk chicken large pricy and it comes with chicken bones with little meat and dry rice. The food doesnt taste hot and fresh on top of that. Im definitely not coming back. $20 for a meal of chicken bones and old rice is a scam. Other places are cheaper you get potatoes and meat, and sauces.

Homely experience with authentic jamaican meals!!

Upon walking into the restaurant the gentleman at the front greeted me right away & was extremely friendly! All of the smells of different foods were just delightful! 10/10 recommended. Goat soup, jerk chicken & stew chicken are all simply delicious!!!

So I tried this place before an it was good. I ordered the jerk chick with rice a peas. Let me tell you if you like dry chicken a grainy rice it s the place for you.

Amazing food, and even better service. Must have driven by this spot hundreds of times, but finally popped in last night to get some food as my usual patty spot closes before 5pm. It was close to closing time, but they prepared a couple of patties just for me, and were kind enough to put the coleslaw for my jerk chicken in a side container (I cant have coleslaw but my husband loves it). The jerk chicken was delicious, and the patties were the best Ive ever had. Will definitely keep coming back.

Very uncleanly fascility with very poor food handling practices after seeing the server use food tongs to pull the garbage bin close to him and then put it back on my food I had to leave!

I ordered rice and Peas with BBQ chicken which was tasty. I also got the oxtail which was terrible, it had no flavor, I think they forgot to seasons the meat.

Long waiting time. Wait there for almost 20 mins for an order. Turns out he finally just take the food from the container at the front counter! So why do I wait that long for a thing that has already been cooked! Never come back again! Especially this guy support Doug Ford!

I had never been to this restaurant before, so I tried it out for the first time using the Too Good to Go app. My surprise bag had rice and peas with fried chicken and a side of coleslaw. The food was delicious and the gentleman who helped me at the counter was lovely and kind! The only reason I took off a star is because they didnt honor the price point on the app...the surprise bag was supposed to be valued at $21, but according to their menu my bag wouldve only normally cost about $12. Otherwise, the food and service were good!

The staff are mad funny great vibe unfortunately the flavor was just there . The oxtail was so bland I actually didnt eat it . The soup was nice but needed more meat less chuncks of fat .

This restaurant does not follow any instructions. My whole order was wrong I order chicken soup and I received goat soup from the previous day i wanted one large and a small and bothe where smallI wanted fried chicken and I got stew chicken. The food has no taste other than being very spicy its very bland the portion is ok but tastes is very bad not fresh at all. I would never order fr this restaurant again waste of money

Solid jerk chicken done right. Deep flavour. I had one of the lunch specials which was only $6+ tax for jerk chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and a drink.

Dont waste your gas ,time and money. Came to this spot on two occasions and they dont have what I want on time..How can you be open for business and you now cooking the ackee and salt fish not even the jerk chicken is ready.. Then why u open for business when u clearly aint prepared???? WASTE MAN SPOT SHOULD BE THE NEW NAME.

Had both the oxtail and the curry chicken. Both were not good. the food lacked flavor. Looks like they dont marinade the meat before cooking. I gave this place a few chances, owner runs store next to the restaurant. I mentioned to her that the food leaves a lot to be improved. Mentioned that the cook was changed- and the original cook was back. I will no longer go there.

We had their Jerk Chicken last night. Food was very tasty. Portion was big and reasonably priced. The restaurant was very clean and the staffs were friendly. I will definitely go back to try their other items soon.

I bought rice and cabbage with banana and sweet potatoes. Im not sure how anyone can mess this up but, the food was trash. Very bland, just did not taste good at all! I definitely will not be going back. Im confused on how this place has good ratings.

Wow, Jerk Chicken, Oxtail rice and peas outstanding food .I let a few of my friends try it and they really loved it. Very friendly staff ,sweet ladys who were very helpful.

Like the other early morning customers I was waiting before 8 AM and they opened closer to 8:30. I walked in a few minutes after they opened and the lady ignored me while continuing to tidy up. I said hello and she said hello back and continued to ignore me. Then she asked me if I would like to place an order. I asked her what the ackee was served with and she turned around and went into the kitchen after quite some time. She came back with a small container without asking what size I wanted, and I asked her again what the ackee was served with. She brusquely asked me what I was looking for. I said I wanted boiled dumpling and banana, she said it also came with sweet potatoes which I declined. I asked her if I could get a side of callaloo and she said that would be extra. I paid and said thank you but have yet to get a response smh lol. The food was yummy!

Went to stop in for jerk chicken and rice. There were only a few people in line and I waited for 25 min just to get served. The rice and peas were okay but really dry and the jerk chicken was decent. The rice was on the harder side than soft. Overall it helped the craving.

They gave me the wrong order and charged me more and it was not even good what the gave me a jerk dinner with dry rice

Id like to give this an honest review.. Im not an angry customer but an upset one.. firstly I know my jerk chicken.. I know when its fresh.. the jerk chicken that was served to me at noon was not fresh at all.. it was hard and chewy.. secondly it was wayyyyy too salty... Like come on ladies its a fresh start of the day lets keep the food fresh as well.. however on the good side.. very nice lady customer service was but aside from that please dont serve chciken when its not fresh anymore especially at the beginning of the day.. if you want volume for your restaurant this MUST change.

I was refused service for wearing a mask during covid season July 24th 2020, the reason, I saw a number of customers ordering food without a mask, so I asked if they were serving people not wearing a mask, the response was if you dont want me to serve you then you can leave. BTW all the workers serving food are not wearing masks. This used to be my favourite caribbean place but now its on the bottom of the list.

I walked in, there was 5-6 staff members in a tiny place and tiny kitchen and none of them were wearing a mask OR gloves. Handling and breathing all over your food. If a health inspector came in, they d be in trouble. It smelled good in there, but I walked right out. Cannot risk spread of covid. It s a mom n pop shop that that doesn t care about regulations or public safety. It s too bad, because I like supporting mom n pop shops and small businesses in my area.

Had the stew chicken it was good.There hot sauce is dangerously hot. Friendly ladies that took my order. Definitely will visit again

I was so hungry when I got there, bought something which was told special by em. I couldnt say the food was worth it and it seemed to be a white elephant. Am sad with the first experience in a Caribbean restaurant.

I had the fried chicken special. They cut the chicken weird and I ended up with a lot of bones and not so much meat. The chicken didnt taste fresh, it was a bit dry. Like it had been sitting there for awhile. Ive gone here before and I dont recall the chicken tasting like that.

The food is pretty good. And the price is great ! I came in for lunch found specials at 7.99 tax included! Good size lunch with coleslaw and a pop ! Wow ! Seriously heading back there for lunch anytime Im in the area.

My new go to place for jerk chicken. The food was bomb. The jerk chicken had the perfect mix of spices. Wasnt overly spicy. The owner was super friendly and gave honest advice. Definitely worth trying.

First time here and it was good, had the large jerk, chicken was moist, portion is very good. One comment, wish they made their own hot sauce.

First time grabbing jerk chicken from here as my fiances cousin recommended them. The service was beyond excellent. Mark was very kind and made you feel right at home. The food was also very good! The rice and peas werent dry and the chicken was cooked and seasoned just right. Their coleslaw was also amazing! Definitely recommend.

Friendly service decent food. First off, Im a picky eater so this reveiw might not be someone elses opinion/experience. My first visit I had curry goat and plain rice with a side order of plantain. The goat could have cooked out a bit more but it had flavor. The jasmine rice wasnt cooked properly. Soft but could still taste some hard grains. The plantain was well fried but I either got a couple old ones or they were not ripe enough to fry. That being said, it wasnt bad just fair.

The food was alright. Nothing to write home about. Had a small Oxtail with rice and vegetables. The ratio of meat to rice wasnt good, way too much rice and not enough meat. The vegetables didnt have enough seasoning for me but the Oxtail was decent. 3.2 out of 5 stars.

Honestly this has got to be one of the best West Indian restaurants in all of Scarborough. I would reccommend the chicken curry, oxtail and goat curry... everything else is great. The staff is very friendly.

Worst Jamaican food Ive ever had! The fried dumplings were dry and hard as a rock. The chicken curry was greasy, tasteless, and full of bones. The jerk chicken was okay, but very dry. Ill never eat there again.

The best Caribbean food ever. It is and has been consistent from the day they opened up to date and I highly recommend trying all the different dishes. The food taste home cooked and not restaurant cooked. There is TLC in every dish, its like going home to get some country cooking. Dave and Jackie you Rock.
