A very delicious lunch bento box packed with a variety of side dishes. I ordered the kalbi and portion was generous for the price. The owner perfected the flavoring and seasoning of the dishes. Expect some wait time as the owner works alone and has a lot to prepare. Looking forward to coming back.
Went this place after watching a reel. Food was really good. It’s mainly a take out place but the owner helped us to dine in.
The owner single handed runs this place & she’s amazing. The food here is amazing. You have to try it. It’s not a dine in place, mostly only take out.
We came here on September 21, 2024 based on a Facebook short. This is primarily a pick up location but she made space for us to sit. We got Combo 2 for two people. Bimbimba, minced pork black bean udon and sweet spicy fried chicken. It comes with a big plate of Pick-3 side items. We really like the sweet glass noodle and shredded potato. Very good food. One thing I like in our Bibimba (spelling ?) is 5 types of veggie. Cabbage, carrots, kimchi, cucumber and green bean. She said her Specialty is the Rice Bowl. It comes with her special sauce and dumplings. We will get that next time ! Give this place a try if you are looking for authentic Korean food.
I saw this place posted online I decided to try it..it a very nice Lady serving you ..the food is fresh the portions are big the price is OK.. as for the taste..it's VERY GOOD..
Fantastic little place offering huge flavours. Mainly for take out. Order ahead as this is a one-woman show and sometimes she gets super busy. My go-to for yummy Korean food in north Scarborough.
First, don’t come right at opening or you may not get what you want. The owner is likely still prepping. Second, her tone may come off rude, but she is very friendly and charming once you get her talking. This is basically Korean style home cooking. I mean that in the best way. The portions are generous and you get good value. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The banchan is top notch.
We love Korean Food and have tried many places and this cozy restaurant is our absolute go-to. Please note the flavour here is very strong and intense so if you're into it, it's impossible for you to resist the temptation. Our usual orders include the Rice Bowl Special Short Rib and the Rice Cake. The Rice Cake is a perfect balance of softness and chewiness, enhanced by the spicy sauce and fish cakes. Similarly, the Rice Bowl Special steals the show with its combination of bean rice, authentic Korean short rib, daily-changing homemade side dishes, and the owner's sauces, creating a harmonious and flavourful experience. This restaurant is run by only one lady, who manages everything from taking orders to cooking and cleaning, please be understanding and patient. With unbeatable prices, top-quality meals, and the owner's dedication to great service, this place is truly a hidden treasure. Best tip we can give you is call ahead at least 20 minutes before arriving for a timely, delightful meal. Highly recommended :)
Their Gamjatang is the best
I have so much respect for the woman who runs this place. The food is amazing and she does so much on her own. Ive tried several of her dishes and Ive loved every one! Thanks for your hard work! Ill be a lifetime customer as long as youre here!
Everything about this place was perfect :)
The place is run by the sweetest lady :) Very friendly, generous (especially with the food) and absolutely lovely! Always will come back to support local businesses!
Ordered via Doordash so I cant speak on the atmosphere or service, but the food was fantastic. The gamjatang was delicious and had huge portions of meat. The bean paste soup was not as much of a hit, but my sister enjoyed it. The banchan was a highlight for sure! Packed to the top and all so delicious. Unfortunately pretty much half the soup had spilled from the container on its way to my house (again, via Doordash), but I would think that for a takeout place, they would put a bit more effort into securing food that tends to spill. Otherwise, thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely order again (in person next time).
Large portions and everything is made fresh after ordering so expect a bit of a wait. Little to no dine space available. Everything was delicious
The place is not to eat there, only to take away, the portions are quite good and delicious.. as a Latino I love the spicy and the spicy pork belly dish is really spicy! Super recommended, just like the bibimbap is very good, although I think it lacks a little meat, but I still recommend it at 100 I will definitely come back!
I visited this place and was disappointed to see that none of the staff were using gloves, masks, or hair covers while handling food. Additionally, one of the staff members was coughing from the smoke while serving and packing orders. Due to these hygiene issues, I decided to leave without taking my order
Such delicious food and an amazing owner!!
Nice lady but the food was not good.
Really good food and amazing customer service. Prices are really good for the portions!
A+ value So many ingredients and flavor put into your bowl Very filling, hard to finish even when hungry Authentic home cooking Food : 5/5
In an era where dining out often comes with a hefty price tag, 100% Korean manages to deliver exceptional quality without breaking the bank. It s a testament to their dedication to providing a genuine and accessible taste of Korea.
Very delicious Korean home-cooked food. The boss lady has a very straightforward personality and is very interesting. The bento boxes are rich and the side dishes are also delicious. I recommend it to friends who like Korean food
Word of advice You may want a tetanus shot before eating here.
Owner is a bit intimidating at first but shes a sweetheart once you talk to her a couple times. Food is great. My goto k-food place. In scarbs. Poor belly special is my fav.
Amazing! Foods great and the owner initially seemed intimidating but turned out to be soooooo friendly.
Best take-out restaurant for authentic Korean food lovers. The chef owner prepared all our orders and the Bibimbap is something you must try. Another wow satisfaction is the wide variety of side dishes. Go visit 100% Korean.
Nice atmosphere
LOVE their lunch boxes because of the variety of side dishes! Its always so good and its a ton of food. Always satisfies my Korean cravings. I wish I could try all their dishes but I always end up the same beef lunch everytime
I moved away and I always come back here when I want Korean food! The food is so good and the lady is so sweet
First time trying out this restaurant. LOVED everything including the service. Food is freshly made each order and very flavourful. Give it a try!
Food is homemade. The cook and owner is a one-woman show. She is focused on preparing a delicious meal for you and does a good job. There are a few stools and counter space but it is essentially a take-out joint. The banchan is very good and changes often. The myeolchi bokkeum (crunchy stir fried anchovies with nuts was to-die-for. Suggest calling in your order to avoid waiting in the shop as it is quite small. Reasonable prices and large portions. Cash or debit only.
First time coming here and the food was excellent! I totally love it, and it was very delicious. Will come back here for seconds. The price is very reasonable and the service is very good.
I love this place. It is takeout only, but the food is delicious and exactly like home made quality. The owner is super welcoming and friendly. Absolutely recommended
Amazing place, go here for lunch often. The owner is so sweet and always friendly. The food is amazing and I recommend it to all my coworkers and friends.
My wife and I are always trying pork bone soup, and this place has the best gamjatang!!. Food is amazing and the owner is very friendly.
This is my familys go to takeout place for pork bone soup. The portions are generous and there are a lot of panchan options. I would give them five stars, but sometimes the taste is inconsistent. Make sure to call ahead and your order will be ready by the time you arrive.
My goto take out place when Im craving Korean food, but too busy to sit down, or need to eat thru an online meeting. Vegetarian options: Tofu soup. Vegetable side dishes. Lots of rice and noodles.
When I am nearby, I always make an effort to eat here and probably one of my favorite Pork Bone soup in town (and I am honestly surprised by the price and the amount of meat they give). Lovely owner who used to run the store with her father and you could tell she pours her heart out to continue the operations without him by herself. If you like a laidback home-made style authentic Korean food(do not expect fancy seating), this is the spot and I think I will truly miss it if it ever close one day.
Great food and service
The lady is always stressed out about prepping the food and gets impatient and agitated by anyone coming in. How about coming in early enough before opening so you can do that instead of transferring that stress to your customers? I really want to like this place and Ive been multiple times, but its not worth it for the mistreatment. The first time I went, she yelled at my father just for watching her cook and told him to sit down. He wasnt trying to bother her and he wasnt trying to talk to her. My father worked in the restaurant business in the past and he understood the pressure shes feeling. We are just there waiting for the food and we had no issue waiting as long as its going to take. Yet she assumed since we wanted to look around that we are as annoyed as she is. And dont blame your customers coming in as a distraction. I saw how she treated other people too, it was the same level of disrespect. If my family wants to eat here then I prefer to order it on Ubereats and let the delivery drivers deal with her attitude. I like the concept of the lunch boxes and she puts a lot of care into it but if its at the expense of being rude to customers, its not worth it. Its overly charred and salty anyways compared to other places. I know this place isnt new and thats how youre used to doing things, but have some god damn compassion for people and understand youre the one putting pressure on yourself. Most people will wait and not have an issue with it. Its a blessing to have more customers than you can keep up with, and if people are willing to wait then they are willing to wait. You dont need to be so impatient at people trying to support your business.
A single lady ran the store for us, gave us extra food and even gave great recommendations. I cant recommend her hospitality enough. She is amazing. We ordered the combo for 2, #1 and #3, both of which were really good. The pork bone soup, she stuffed it full, which was very generous. 5/5 would def come back again.
Our go to Korean food place. Love their side dishes, price is awesome too. Support our local small business!!
Foods taste like family meals owner is friendly.
Delicious food at an affordable price. It is run by one person, so if you come at peak hours, there might be a wait. Would come here again!
The food here tastes great and the price is reasonable. The lady who runs the store here really nice. Just be prepared to wait when its busy because its done by 1 person.
This has been a local gem forever. The owners are amazing and always recognize me when I stop in for a Korean beef bowl.
The best food ever Wery nice people and the service is always wery good
delicious food. will be coming back
The owner is super friendly, price is affordable, very generous portions and most importantly the food is amazing. Would recommend this place to anyone.
Friendly little place
It is very rare that a child will carry the tradition of their father as they take over a family business. She and her father were welcome site for covid and served excellent food, combined with excellent fellowship and banter as they would get the food ready. Sadly her dad passed a couple of years ago but the inherited proprietor of this place has created the most perfect pork bone soup that I have ever tasted. Make the drive and tell her big white Cam sent you. She comes across serious but has a great sense of humour and put a lot of love into her food
This might be my FAVORITE take out restaurant. The owner is an amazing cook and every time I eat here, I get a slightly different beef bowl that always tastes so good. The food here is so comforting and yummy. Definitely worth checking out.
The side dishes (seaweed, pickled radish and Kimchi) all tasted good. The spicy pork belly was spicy enough and tasted good as well. Food : 4/5
Amazing food! The owner was so lovely, you can tell she s passionate about her business. Her food was absolutely amazing!
This is a hidden gem! Korean lady cooking up some authentic korean dishes. This is takeout only with 2 seats inside. Food is delicious and portion is generous.
I have followed them since their original location at Leslie and Finch. The make the most amazing, authentic Korean food. Their current location is more of a take out place but they have there ENORMOUS lunch boxes for only $14 which contain several traditional side dishes (banchan). All of them are unique and taste great!
Absolutely phenomenal service and food! Got the special combo for two and the proportions were soooo generous!
Great value and generous portion. Food is tasty. Owner is friendly.
Home style Korean food! The owner cook the food by her heart and the taste is excellent. Food
Just went to 100% Korean to get my favorite home-style Korean food. I love the Pork Bone Soup, Kal bi, Chap Chae, Rice Cake, Jajang Udon Noodle, various side dishes and many more! The owner cooks with love, and the food is so delicious! Must try!
I got the spicy chewy noodle, was not disappointed. You get a gigantic portion for what youre paying, as well as 3 extra side dishes. Pork bone soup is also really good and fairly spicy, which is perfect. Prices are very fair. As it is family run, the food may take a little longer for preparation so its good to call ahead and come pick it up later. But if youre waiting there and watching them cook, you can see that the family puts a lot of heart into their dishes. Even if theyre super busy, they dont seem to rush through orders, so quality is always on par. This isnt a sit down place, though. Very cramped, even standing there waiting for your order you would be in someones way.
BEST KOREAN FOOD!!!!! I used to be a regular here, and speak to the owner, she was such a sweetheart. I ve moved away but I m constantly craving her food, the tteokkbeokki is a must try.
Came here because of Asialicious and got the rice bowl special for only $10 (though it s still cheap normally!) Super tasty and great value.
Great food and great price!
Delicious food always and great service!
Authentic Korean comfort food
I order their beef short ribs all the time, but my recent order had extremely tough beef, and the portion was smaller. I believe theyre skimping on the quality and quantity. I have attached photo of the chewy beef.
The food was really tasty. So tasty I came back for more 100% 5 stars!! There was also good service Recommended dishes
Amazing food! Been going here for a few years now and the food never disappoints. Place is run by a hardworking lady that mostly does prep /cooking by herself. My go-to order is the Kalbi or Pork Belly with rice. Side dishes are also great!
Highly recommend trying this place out. They have amazing bowls here. Every time I m in the area, I make it a point to eat here. Family run restaurant. Terrific food.
Never before had I tasted one bite of food and threw it away. I was quite shocked because of how great the reviews were about this restaurant. I ordered the Jajang udon and the udon was borderline mush. There wasn t enough sauce to coat the noodles and it just tasted like water. It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I would not want to try this place again despite such positive reviews. At least the kimchi and side dishes tasted fresh but it won t take away my one star review due to me not even eating one bite. I went to galleria and ordered their jajangmyeon there and left feeling very satisfied and full.
Delicious food, generous portions! Small place for takeout mostly, but there are a couple stools. Picked up a few short rib meals and they came with dumplings, a little salad, potatoes, lots of rice and noodles. For me was enough for two full meals. Would have loved more meat but it was tasty. Next time I will have to try the bimibap.
I love the Korean lady working there. I always order bean paste soup without spicy and she will always gives a lil extra because I m a regular customer. The food is comforting and very home-like. The taste is very flavourful and intense. I love all her sweet side dishes. Definitely recommend.
Both the side dishes and the meat were all so delicious!
best Korean food restaurant in town
Small location, the food was delicious and cheap.
Ordered the lunch box for take out (Galbi and bulgogi). When I got home I realized the orange slices that came with the lunch box were moldy!!!! Everything was very peppery tasting. Galbi had more fat than actual meat.
Cute little Korean spot on the corner of Steeles and Midland Avenue. There are parking spaces available, but weekends can be tricky. The inside is small, with a counter against the windows where 2/3 people might squeeze in. It s more of a takeout place. We ordered the Special Combo for two ($24.95): a bowl of Gamjatang (pork bone soup), rice, and a serving of Japchae. We also ordered the Special Rice Cakes ($9.95). The soup came out boiling hot and was very meaty. The broth was quite oily, so we didn t sip it. The Japchae was perfectly cooked, not too salty, and is one of our favorite dishes.
Korean family style. Rice cake is Yummy. Bento have a variety appetizers.
Delicious and authentic Korean food!! Great prices for very generous portions. We tried the pork bone soup and the spicy pork belly rice dish and loved both!! You also get to choose your side dishes. The owner is very friendly and she remembers her customers. This is a hidden gem I highly recommend! There is parking in the plaza. :)
This phenomenal place is now on uber eats!! We came at a busy time, and Sung Au, the owner, was the only one there working on family day. She runs the restaurant herself and is super dedicated and talented. I ordered the short rib rice bowl special, and it was amazing! I highly recommend it. The only regret I have is not taking a photo of my meal before I dove in. It looked so delicious and irresistible. May God bless her and her restaurant! Also, if youre looking for a fast and tasty meal during the weekdays, this is it. This place is packed during the weekends but the weekdays arent busy.
Came here on a very busy weekday and the owner was by herself. She apologized for the wait but since we came all the way from the west side, we figured we ll wait. She s a very chatty lady who pours her heart into her cooking, even invited me to come back so she can teach me since I love Korean food! I wish her all the best and I hope she continues to make hearty korean food. Much love and respect!
Finding good food is like falling in love; you get hit when you least expect it. This was my experience at this place. I was super hungry off my flight, and it happened to be walking distance from the Airbnb. I was blown away by the food. All I had was the beef rice bowl but it came with a smorgasbord of other tasty sides. The beef alone was worth writing this review, but the whole ensemble stole my heart. Easily a top 10 meal of my life. If you re in the area how do you not eat here? If I lived in Toronto or within an hour drive of this place I d probably go at least twice a month if not once a week. I m probably gonna go back tomorrow.
Been coming here for over 5 years since I first moved to Canada. Extremely affordable prices for massive meal sizes. Unfortunately does not do delivery and only take out; hoping it does one day!
I came here the other day with my friend and the food is pretty good! The portion is generous and its quite affordable! I ordered beef ribs on rice and spicy rice cakes, I would say its authentic Korean food and would definitely come back for more! The owner was really friendly and helpful :)
100% authentic Korean cuisine! The food is delicious and flavorful. Their pork bone soup is the best Ive ever had. This is definitely our go-to Korean takeout!
First time here, was recommended by family and friends. The food was amazing! I had ordered the Beef Bowl and it was delicious. The price is good for what you get, the portions were big. I would definitely recommend. The service was amazing too, the owner was very considerate and friendly! Great customer service! Highly recommend visiting. I will continue to eat here and hope to try everything on the menu! 5 stars!
We tried it the first time and really liked it. I was going to give this place 4 stars. However, when we go back the second time, the rice was so soggy like congee. We were very disappointed with the quality.
I didn t go there but the picture of menu is in Chinese character why 100% korean lol I cannot read menu without English but hopefully it s tasty
Very good place been going theyre ever since it opened. Must give it try.
I stopped by today and it was a great experience! My friend and I both ordered kalbi bento box. The owner works alone so dont expect a quick grabn go service. Kalbi was tender and well marinated, small amount of rice(which works great for me cause that fills me up) and lots of different types of side dishes! Generous portion and great taste. Highly recommend when youre around! I definitely will be back and try something else. Cash or debit only.
So good.
The lady owner makes the best side dishes! I always get side dishes from her and she changes menu daily- potatoes, tonghao, fish cake, kimchi, radish . Today s eggplant is sososo tasty! Love it!
Very authentic korean food, very taste and good value
my fave place for local korean eats! been going here for years, and their food is always reliably delicious and well priced
This korean restaurant has the best food I have had, and I have eaten a lot of Korean food. The food is made with love and it definitely shows in the taste. The food has a homely feel to it. I eat here almost every weekend. It is my go to place for comfort food. The spare ribs and bibimbap are insanely good.
The Kalbi lunch box was absolutely delicious, so much variety, authentic, great quality and at a great price! Prepared with love.
The pork bone soup here was generous but bland. Just tasted like pork soup. Could not taste any other flavours. The beef with rice was not what I expected (it was a slightly spicy thick cut beef stir fry, while I wrongly assumed it would be bulgogi). It was still tasty, but not something I would crave. The side dish options are very good though. You get to pick your own from a large selection.
Order pork bone every other week. Authentic Korean food. Decent portion. The owner is very nice.
Vegetarian options: Great
Good portions and fast service. A lot of their dishes are spicier than their equivalent at most other Korean places I ve been to so if you can t really take spice, this place may not be the best place for you. If you like Korean food and can take the heat, you definitely need to give this place a try. It s a really small shop with tight seating for only 1 or 2 if I remember correctly, so get take out!
Solid take out for pork bone soup and bi bim bap. Like to order 10 minute before arriving so it will still be hot at home. There are a few seats but prefer to eat at home. Family runned business and the lady is efficient.
Food was phenomenal but the owner was the highlight; truly a down to earth and caring person. You can tell she puts love in the food she makes.
I have been going to this restaurant for years and I keep coming back for the fresh Korean food. The spicy items do have a kick but if you love spicy, you will love them. The store is usually run by the owner alone unless its during peak hours so she may seem a little busy but she is a very kind person who cares about her customers. The value of her items is great with plenty of options that will always fill you up on a budget. My go-to recommendations are the Pork Bone Soup and Spicy Pork on rice. If you want a place that has tasty, authentic Korean food then you should give this place a try! Dietary restrictions: I never had requests for dietary restrictions but the owner is very nice and will recommend you options if you had dietary restrictions or even tweak the item itself to fit what you want. Parking: There is plenty of parking spots nearby (Tim Hortons nearby, another plaza and the plaza itself is not that busy) so you will be able to park around at any time
The owner and chef is amazing. I love the changing sides and soups!
Really good pork bone soup. Lots of tender meat.
I ordered a large order for my office of 30 people and it was perfect for our holiday lunch! The lunch boxes came with so many delicious side dishes, and not too much rice, which was wonderful. Very affordable price as well. Will definitely order from them again. Thank you so much for making such delicious lunches.
I like going to this place, the food doesnt taste as generic as some other franchised locations. The lady that works there is a one woman show and its nice to see your food made in front of you. The food always looks a bit different since its pretty much home cooked but it always tastes good. I recommend the rice bowls. 5/5
Shop owner was extremely nice. I would recommend the pork bone soup and japchae.
This place is excellent! The food is tasty, the site is clean, and the staff is friendly.
Food was good, price was okay, nice banchan selection
Cant believe I pass by here so many time without knowing!!! So good!
Really nice chill lady who owns this small shop. Very local and authentic. The food smells amazing. I didnt preorder my food and she was clearly busy with a ton of other orders but she prioritized my order. Side dishes included. Comfort food. Very tasty :)
no wait at all. reasonable price. friendly service. Great place for take out korean food. Loved the pork bone soup! i will definitely come by again!
Chicken lunch box and short-rib rice bowl are my boyfriend and I s go-to meals here. Generous size, lots of side dishes and super savoury! The portions are so big that each dish can be split into two portions. Not to mention the prices are unbeatable. Very sweet and hardworking owner and we re such regulars that she always recognizes our voices on the phones haha. Will continue to support this small business and highly recommend if you re looking for a hearty Korean meal! Tip - just make sure you call at least 30-40mins early for takeout as rush hour can be super busy!
Im not sure to bring paying your credit card . If not bring cash. It just like going to fried noodles shop.
Ive been here a couple of times and had a great experience. The portion size is big and the chap chae is super yummy. The only dish I dont recommend as Ive ordered it twice and had the same result... the Kalbi. It was tough and chewy. Everything else on that menu is delicious :)
This place has great lunch box options at a good price. The lunches come in a big square box thats packed with assorted banchan. Not too much of the protein but I prefer the variety. The bulgogi was nicely marinated and made to order. The banchan is freshly made and tasted great. Came with a side of soup which was gamjatang which did have little pieces of bones. The owner is very nice and funny, not to mention a real tough and hardworker. Im looking forward to coming back.
Was very happy with my experience. The owner was so kind. There are huge portions! Will be back.
Food is great but service needs improvement especially the take out order system. You just cant give away someone elses order when we clearly called for a pick up. Maybe get their names or phone number or something. I wouldnt recommend ordering from the phone might as well come to the store cause theyre gonna end up giving away your order to someone else.
Love their reasonable prices and high authenticity
Amazing food, good price and very nice owners. I highly recommend
This place has the best pork bone soup we have ever had. They have great food at affordable prices. We come all the way from downtown just to order take out.
looooove this place! Oh man the owner is absolutely lovely, you can feel the love in her food. So good. Great prices, good solid selection, fantastic portion sizes! Ill be driving up soon for. Sure. Thank you for the amazing food
Friendly service and delicious foods to go along.
Amazing food and superb value!
When I went in, both the employees were not wear mask and were handling food. That was not the worst part, I paid for my food, and after her handling my credit card and touching the Credit card machine and POS cashier, she went straight back to touching the food. When I say touching the food, she used her bare hands to grab the veggies into the container! At this point, I was just disgusted but didn t make a scene. Went home, had two bites and ended up throwing away the food. Hate to leave bad reviews but this is just dangerous especially during Covid.
She was very busy tonight, but food was worth the wait. Delicious
Wonderful food
I think I found my korean food nook. The lady who cooks is very helpful and it actually doesnt feel like you are at a restaurant but rather gives a hone vibe. The lady cooks all the food right infront of you and the food is delicious. I had tofu soup and rice bowl and me and my husband ate it for both lunch and dinner. Honestly I will go there everytime I feel like eating comfort food
One of the best authentic Korean restaurant. Portions to price is well valued.
great food and fast service!
absolutely delicious.
Me and my family often come here for authentic Korean food. The combos here are great to share and the service is really nice! The workers forgot to include rice from our combo and side dishes - we asked them about it and they kindly apologized and gave us what was missing. We ordered Combo #1 and #2. I really like the bibimbap - well portioned tasted great! One thing to note is the black bean udon noodles was missing a little flavour compared to what I m used to.
The bibimbap here felt like it was served with so much love. Rice was perfect and the red sauce warmed my soul. Adding this place to my comfort food list
Everything we have had from here has been consistently great
love this place <3
I ve ordered from here many times and my meals have always been nicely prepared and the volume is consistent. My favourite are the lunch boxes as you get a variety of sides, and you get so much for what you pay for ($11.95 plus tax). Do call ahead as it does get busy during lunch hour and could take 20-25mins from when you call in.
Best pork bone soup in the east end
Not worthy! I ordered a short ribs on rice. The owner let me choose three sides, but everything comes with just A LITTLE BIT!!! Two pieces of rotus root?! Ridiculous!! Its more expensive than a rice bowl, but comes with much less than that!!! Not coming back!!!
Bad attitude for first time customer. I couldn t hear what the server said and she yelled at me with condescending attitude. Response to owner s response: Ok, first you asked me to pick 3 items from the side, I didn t hear you, then you yelled at me or at least raised your voice in a agitated pitch telling me to pick 3 items from the side. Then, you told me I could also pick one of the rice dessert, I didn t know what it was, so I asked what it is, then you let out a condescending, deliberate long sign, and then told me its name. This is only my first visit here, and I m a very polite person. I m not sure where your bad attitude comes from other than that I m not Korean (Chinese), I mean, your business is located in markham/ Scarborough area, where 40% of the population is Chinese. If you think 100% Korean is better than everyone else then why open the business here? I m not saying your food is bad, it s just that your way of dealing with customers that you don t like 100% ruins the experience.
If you are reading this review and need to know if you should come here, DO IT! I chose to come here yesterday since nothing was open and my options were limited. Boy was I happy I did. The restaurant is a very small cute place with incredible food. The lady at the front (presumably the owner) was so kind and friendly. The food was fairly priced especially for the great portion size. Not too big, not too small. The food was delicious! I had the lunch special with beef and everything from the meat to the sides to the soup was extremely tasty. I just wish it was closer so I can go more often. The food was very authentic and I can tell was made my a chef who wants her customers to enjoy and be happy to come back. I would give more stars if I could. Thank you for such a great meal.
Yummy food, owner is sooo nice and friendly will definitely go again
Fresh and homey! The lunch box is great bang for your buck, the contents are diverse and plentiful. Everything was delicious and I felt like I was getting a complete meal. Highly recommend and know I will be back in the future.
Best place for Korean food hands down. Seriously, ppl please go to this spot and get some for yourself, youd be amazed. And the service ? Top notch. Do your part, come here and knock yourself out
Food is really good! However, I wish they were more hygienic with hand washing after entering the kitchen from outside and handling cash.
Probably tbe best Korean restaurant in Toronto.
Tugged away in a strip plaza is this Gem of a Fresh Family cooked meal joint. Been passing this place umpteem times untill somehow I stumbled in today. Pretty pleased with the beautifully put together Korean fares and best of all, easy on the wallet. Sung Au, the very friendly owner herself cooks up the magic feast. Punctuated with great conversations. She takes interest of knowing her diners and most of all, try her best to explain and introduce the foods. Definitely, a recommended place to hit and pleased your Korean taste buds.
I always come here whenever Im in Toronto, the food is always good and the owners are nice. I like the large selection of side dishes you can choose from.
I love pork bone soup. They have a good pork bone soup. But really cheap on the side dishes
Always a pleasure eating here and I always get the pork bone soup
I love this place. Been coming here for years. Amazing food. You definitely get your moneys worth and more.
Great & sweet staff, phenomenal food, big portions and cheap prices!! Cant get better than that.
Good
excellent!! Love this korean takeout joint ! I ve been here a bunch of times and have tried a variety of dishes! Their combos are a steal. I highly recommend getting the special rice cakes !! Portions are very generous and the owner is always friendly and courteous
Been here a few times, not bad.
100 Percent Korean has made their mark in the local Toronto/Markham food scene with their take on comfort Korean favourites at reasonable prices. I recently made a visit as it has been months since I had Korean food since the pandemic began. Although a few fellow Yelpers have complained about the rudeness of the owners, I had quite the friendly and warm conversation with the owner as she prepared my lunch box with galbi ribs, banchan (side dishes), gyoza and gamjatang broth. The kalbi ribs were perfectly seasoned and cooked to go nicely alongside the serving of rice. The banchan adds a variety of textures and flavours to balance out the greasiness you get from eating kalbi ribs. The broth on the side is pretty good for a side soup. For only $10.95, its a great value for the portion and flavour you will get every time you visit 100% Korean. Especially during these times, be friendly and amicable with the owners and they will show it back! Dont forget to call ahead, especially during peak lunch and dinner hours!
Opened for takeout during quarantine. Little mom and pop shop in a plaza near Midland Avenue and Steeles Avenue. I usually get the Rice Bowl Special, pretty much a Korean Chipotle Bowl with your choice of meat, glass noodles, rice and Korean side dishes. They are super generous with the proportions !!
The owner lady is rude. She has an attitude problem. First time coming here and wont be coming again. Food is mediocre.
Proper food. Excellent hospitality!
Great prices and value for excellent flavours and portion size
Been wanting to try this place for awhile now. Visited during covid, and tried the Special combo for 2 combo 1. Love the rice cake and the pork bone soup Please feel free to follow me on IG Mandilicous, tiktok missmandilicous for food and lifestyle posts
This is another great spot if you re looking to support locals and want authentic and delicious Korean dishes. This restaurant is only take out as they have closed off their dining area considering how small the restaurant is. The owner is very enthusiastic and friendly to all the customers I ve seen, and you can tell how busy they are as they constantly have orders coming in. Their menu offers a good selection of combos (where you definitely get a lot of food), classic dishes, plus you can even purchase just side dishes as well. We got their Gamjatang which was very flavourful, and had a nice kick to it, and their large Bibimbap. Mind you, the Bibimbap was actually really big, so I d recommend the small if you don t have a huge stomach. Both dishes were delicious (as we expect) and will come back again for more! IG: Ayenomz
Should change the name to 100% the best korean.
Great food and reasonable price
Amazing food
Tried small amount of everything. Even though everything taste harmonically good. Your choice, if you dont want to pay with credit card.
This small mom n pop shop is my favourite place to get Korean food. Good value for its price and always delicious.
Love this place!! Prices are affordable and food so tasty here! Order ahead of time so you don t have to wait too long!
Love this place. Food is ALWAYS so good. And the owner is awesome. I wish I lived closer so I could order here all the time. The pork belly rice bowl is my go-to. How can you go wrong with a combo of pork belly, rice, chap che, coleslaw, dumpling, and more.
One if my favorite go to spots in Toronto. Food is extremely good and always consistent. Owners are very kind people. My kids also cant get enough of this place. Son loves the beef bowl and daughter lives the beef on rice. Enjoy!!
It s actually delicious! yummy!
Really like the meat on rice series
This place is amazing. Ive been here several times over the past 2 years. Ive only had their Beef Bowl. I gotta try the rest of their stuff. The owner - is great. Extremely nice lady.
