This is the second time Ive had Changchun. The first time I had it was when the store opened a few years ago. Back then it was delicious, but I think the taste has gone downhill since then. We tried the Volcano and Gungcham. Our stomachs were aching for the rest of the evening. The food is deep fried in oil, but the oil isnt being patted off before its given. We ate around 6pm, and I think the oil in the fryers isnt being changed all day since there was only one person working. She was a cashier, cook, and server. She was being overworked. The store was packed with at least 20 people. I think this location needs to hire another staff member to help in the kitchen, that should improve the quality of food and service.

Meh, place looks really dirty coming inside. Looks like the workers hates their job. Girl who works there with a mask, left arm tattoo and glasses on doesnt even greet any customers, nor doesnt pay attention to the customers as she was too busy on her phone.

It has been a while since the last time i visited Scarborough, and first thing i wanna try was the Chungchun hotdogs. The full mozzarella with potato topping is always awesome, especially the moment you have a bite and pull out the cheese, very interesting! And the flavour is amazing when it goes with spicy mayo, chipotle, and butter garlic seasoning. Staff are very friendly and professional to give me advice on my vegetarian dietary, that the same frying oil but no cross contamination thanks to the batter covering around every single hotdog. Highly recommend this place, tbh!!

I usually have a pretty good experience at chungchun, but this time was not the best. I was served by who I believe is the manager, and she mistakenly charged me for 7 hotdogs instead of the 4 I ordered. The order came out to be $50 instead of $30. When they found out they got it wrong, they just left the register without saying why, opened the door, and just yelled in Vietnamese to another staff to fix it? They refunded the 3 hot dogs that were entered wrong, but when I checked the receipt later, they kept the tip I added on the $50. I didn t want to talk to them about the issue again because their service was very unfriendly and made me feel uncomfortable. Overall, I think I wouldn t order here again if I m going to be treated like that; maybe I ll try again in a couple of years.

The food is tasty but if you take more than 3 minutes to eat it gets cold, it is a delicious and quick snack. The customer service is average, neither good nor bad but always very serious, dont expect smiles from the teammates. They should set up tables because you always eat standing up.

Elevated corn dogs with different options in terms of toppings or crusts. Nothing special about the hotdogs they use but it was a novelty and fun to eat :-)

Chungchun Rice Dog is found in the white plaza at Midland and Finch. A small shop, no seating area. Just 2 counters and a table along the wall. The windows have promotional posters of their food on them. Inside the shop, there are lots of food posters along the walls. Theres this little info card that says that Chungchun has an app for you to use. On one of the walls, theres this big display that suggests that you had sugar/sauce to your rice dog. I ordered a Gamsung Rice Dog. Its $6.99, plus tax its $7.90. The Gamsung Rice Dog has potato cubes all around the outside of the rice dog. The rice dog itself was light and airy, not heavy and bready like a regular old corn dog. The hotdog inside was salty and tasty. The sauce and sugar is free of charge, it gets added onto the rice dog before it is given to you. You could just skip over the sugar/sauce stage if you wanted. Since this was my first time here, I asked the worker what I should get. I ended up getting the sweet mayo and sugar onto my rice dog. The sauce and the sugar added an extra layer of flavour the combined really well with the rice dog and the potato bits. You cant see the size in the picture, but its big, like 7 ish inches long, 2 ish inches wide... It was basically bigger than my hand. Other than size, it did taste pretty good, different, but good. I will be going back to try the other flavors. Like the ramen one... Try their popular flavours. And probably come back with friends, cause I think theyll like the rice dogs too. Dietary restrictions: They do advertise that they have vegetarian options. Parking: The plaza has plenty of parking available. Kid-friendliness: Just saw a family with kids eating their rice dogs just outside of the shop.

The food is definitely worth the hype! The service is also great. It can get busy in the evenings, but its worth the wait. I love that they have an electronic number sign in the window that shows which order is being served so that I can wait in my car until my food is ready. They have a really good selection of sauces.

Yeah, come on girls, it shouldn t have taken that long to get my order lol. I ordered the exact same time as my friend and received it 10 minutes later. Not to also mention someone behind us got theirs even after I ordered mine. No apologies or explanations.

i dont normally write reviews but i just had to today because im very disappointed. first off. i spent 31 dollars for 4 corn dogs. half moz half beef to be specific. i ended up getting all full moz hot dogs. now i hate to make a fuss about this. i waited over 20 min for these. whats worse is that they increased these by a dollar. if youre gonna increase your prices on your products, at least give us the full product.

This is the slowest location I ve ever been to. These two ladies who were on their shift were on their phone the whole time and took sooooooo long to get orders completed. Mind you it was only myself and one other lady in the store, there were no lines or anything. While the lady was making the hot dogs, she was also on her phone. So unsanitary and gross. Would not come back to this location.

I was checking this place out for the first time, and it was great. These are the best corn dogs that I have ever had. I had the volcano corn dog, and it tasted great. The size of it was huge. The service was top notch as well. The cashier was friendly, and it was only a 10 min wait. The prices are not bad, but I just wished that they had combos. They have one corn dog combo for $25, which comes with 4 of em. although I wished that the price was abit lower. Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here. I usually come here from time to time, if I m ever in the area

Pretty much a POGO of you had any of those. The food is pretty good and you can put all types of sauce on it. The size is pretty big too. Think of a jumbo sausage size and Im pretty sure they use takeout chopsticks as skewers to hold it. All in all, a pretty good snack for any time if there day or night

I tried using the app for the first time. I waited for about 20 minutes before I went up to the counter and found that my food had already been ready for at least 10 minutes. There were people that were getting their food already even though they came into the store after me. They don t call your name, and there s no true line so people just come in an order in a chaotic fashion. If you order on the app, make sure you go up to the counter to ask because they re not going to call you. You can stand there for an hour, and they will not know. How are you supposed to know when it s ready when they hide all their food behind behind the counter and you can t even see if there is anything waiting? Negative experience but 2 stars because the app gave a small discount.

The Snow Cheddar wings is the go for me, alongside the waffle fries and mac n cheese bites, the spicy mayo goes really well with the hot dog, especially the corn flake hot dog. Returned here multiple times whenever i have crave for comfort food.

It s always a melting experience having the liberty to try chungchun. This location is amazing, they re punctual, up to date, clean and know how to handle customers. They make the order meticulously and carefully to ensure you get exactly what you need. I highly recommend this establishment as they have exceeded my standards.

Chung Chun makes great corndogs! Its always fresh to order which is why there is usually a wait but I dont mind. Location is also convenient as there is a lot of other drink and food options nearby for you to walk around while waiting.

Chung Chung Rice Dog is the go-to spot for some seriously tasty Korean-style corndogs, and the Midland Scarborough location is my favorite in the city. This place knows how to nail it! The customer service is top-notch too, making the whole experience even better. My absolute favorite is the half mozzarella with half sausage combo pure genius. And don t forget to slather on the sweet chili; it takes the flavor to a whole new level. Seriously, if you try this combo, you ll be living your best foodie life. Highly recommend hitting up Chung Chung Rice Dog s Midland Scarborough location for a corndog experience that hits all the right spots!

Came to check out the hype about these k-dogs with my girl and it definitely lived up to it. Got the half beef and cheese with sweet mayo and honey mustard. The cheese pull was amazing and hotdog was delicious! The other two were the ramen and potato dog with sugar and sweet chili and hot sauce. Wish there was some proper seating but its a takeout joint only. Dissapointed there was no pineapple or coffee drink at the time.

There is no dine in or washroom here. This is a takeout place only. It s really good. You get what s advertised. It s delicious, the toppings are interesting and work well with the sausage. My server was new and said the volcano had cheese but it didn t. Not sure if the mistake was by him in saying so or by the cook. Either way, I liked what I had. If I m in the area, I m open to trying this place again.

FYI: there a sign that says halal chicken options available, but when we confirmed they said all of it comes in the same oil as the pork, beef, chicken, including the vegetarian/dessert options. So we didn t end up buying. Just a bit baffling as to how vegetarian and meat options can be fried together or pork and halal. Don t know if other locations are different but I d definitely ask them.

Food 5/5 I usually get the original chungchun s rice dog half mozzarella half beef as that is 10/10 They have a new combo released, 3 beef and one half mozzarella/half beef for 21.99 it was nice trying the other options they have. I liked them all but the ramen rice dog was not my favourite, it was too crunchy for my liking. Service: 5/5 Staff are very nice and helpful. And patient :) Atmosphere: 3/5 It s a a very small place, no seating or minimal seating. I.e: no dine in, it is more of a to-go place.

Been a fan of chungchun since the downtown Yonge location opened up. This location is just as small but just as good. The rice dogs have great texture when you bite them with a bit of chewiness. Lots of different options for toppings and sauces. A lot of people recommend putting sugar on the rice dogs but I still havent tried that particular combo, maybe one day. Visited on a Saturday afternoon, and there was a small line forming for ordering/waiting for orders. Would recommend, but the rice dogs are best eaten fresh! My personal recommendation is the beef rice dog with potato topping covered in spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce.

Ordered the new Mac and cheese bites at the midland location and overall the experience was great. Right when I walked in the workers greeted me and gave a very positive atmosphere to the customers. When I ordered the lady was really nice and when I asked for the bites to be fresh from the fryer she took it into account. The taste was really good and it was really fresh too. Will be coming back next time! :)

You can t leave Finch and Midland without getting a ChungChun Hot Dog. My favourite is the marble but it s sadly getting discounted but they have so many other yummy Hot Dogs like gamsung, half mozzarella and whole mozzarella. They got a widely variety of sauce and seasoning but my favourite is their double sweet combination that is sweet mayo, sweet Chili and honey butter. They have great and friendly service as they are always willingly to answer any questions. They even have a halal option which is the only chicken Hot Dog which taste awesome and even veggie options for those that are vegetarian. I love the fact that you can add any toppings such as potato, sweet potatoes, ramen and flakes to any of the Hot Dogs except for the original ChungChun. The Hot Dog you order is unique and dedicated for your taste and dietary restrictions!

Not sure why the sauces are behind the counter, makes for awkwardness when selecting sauces per dog, also mistakes, we said mustard and they put on honey mustard

A place that sells Korean hotdogs. We went on a Saturday at 12:30pm and there was a lot of empty parking spots. A bit dark when you enter the place, but the staff were very friendly. We ordered the following: 1. mac and cheese bites 2. waffle fries 3. half mozzarella hotdog 4. gamsung potato hotdog 5. cheddar cheese hotdog The batter was super thick and doughy, not a fan. It was better the first time when we last had it. The waffle fries were crispy. The sausage was great! lol If you like a good snack place, then check it out.

An ok location. It looks a bit rundown. However I believe this is one of the original locations for them. The hotdog was really over done. But crunchy. The toppings were nice as I have never tried sweet potatoe on it.

I love that they brought another location to Scarborough. Its always packed, but the lines go by really fast. And since its in a convenient location, there are more stores to walk around to and wait for your order. You can always count on finding parking in that plaza. This is best eaten fresh, and sugar does make a difference. Theres also no seating, so be planned accordingly if you want to try this fresh. Parking: Its a huge plaza its not hard to find parking but rarely near the store. I also wouldnt suggest parking in front of the stores unless youre not uncomfortable with people watching you eat in your car. Wheelchair accessibility: Its on the first floor, but theres a small curb to get through, and the doorway is a bit narrow

Save your appetite, go 200m further and you can enjoy the best corndog from Myungrang!! This chungchun place is just the worst, from their food to their attitude. Its not like Im robbing them but the employees attitude is dispicable! Throwing corndog into my face like they feeding a dog? Aint no thank you, aint no smile, just straight up disrespectful, ignorant face. Wouldnt go here, wouldnt recommend or even speak of this place ever!! Fries were cold, sticking to each other and they didnt even remember the order??? Sausage was decent, nothing special anymore and their fry doe is terrible.

I had an outstanding experience at Chungchun Scarborough! The food was exceptional, and the customer service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I particularly enjoyed the unique and delicious chocolate hotdog and mac and cheese bites. I cant wait to visit again!

I know some of the posted reviews were positive but for me, it was a negative one. Why? Because of the customer service rendered to me today. The lady at the counter should speak in a nice way. It was my 1st time coming at the store and yet she sounded arrogantly. I should have enjoyed the food really well. I guessed, it wasnt my day at all.

I love Chungchun s so much, I find myself craving their Korean corn dogs every now and then because it s just SOOOO GOOOOD. Some people argue it s just a corn dog and there s nothing special about it or you can make it at home but I m telling you, something about the way they make it so addictive. It s just perfect. I want some right now but it s nearly 4 am, and I m trying to save money. I d gladly give all my money to Chungchun s. I m giving in, I m going to order some right now
