I used to like this place but their service is poor. Today I ordered a manakeesh and a box of 12 mini pies, paid for it, but I was standing in front of the window for more than 5 mins before they asked me what I want in the box, then they gave my box to someone who had walked in after me, and I waited 5-10 mins more and they gave me a box of random mini pies that I hadn t ordered, and I only realized after I got home and I opened the box, they gave me what I hadn t ordered and did not want. Big disappointment.

This is my first time eating Lebanese food. Staff was friendly and helpful. This location is a very modest size, with food prep and take-out sales on the main floor. It also has a second-floor dining area, where I waited for my food with a handheld electronic device that signaled when my food was ready to pick up from the main floor. I had two items from the menu -- the Donair Beef Shawarma and the Shawarma Chicken and Cheese Manakeesh. Both were delicious and filling. ***** 5 stars ***** PS. Best Manakeesh

Excellent food however poor customer service. priority is not on getting you what you need quickly so you can get on your way. They need to have a good look at their serving process and develop a better way. if one customer is waiting for something that is being made, then serve the others who wants items you have pre-made and let them get on their way.

I went there today at around 4 pm and ordered manakeesh, and they were burned, tested so bad that we had to throw them in the garbage, plus the service was also bad (rude), Not recommended.

Beware, the prices of manakesh are double what the prices listed on Google are. I paid double for my order what I expected to pay because I was going off of the Google menu and I ordered quite a bit. Please update your pricing Al deewan The breads were also pretty small which was disappointing also the old prices were much better haha.

Fresh & tasty

Ordering from this place is like buying a lottery, you will either get the tastiest man ouch you ever had, or, you will get one that you can barely eat. Called them, and the only thing they can do is give me a replacement if I come and pickup which I can t(why I ordered delivery in the first place). $20 down the drain and ended up without breakfast.

Not even a star for the situation that happened today. Sometimes the manoushe is wow and soft and fresh. Sometimes it is hot but it breaks. Today it was heated several times and what is clear is how the dough is rising, and the burnt oil and yellowed cheese are evidence of heating, in addition to the toughness, even though the dasher was not very long.. Before we commented, we said that we should not put anything that would harm him, and that it would not happen sometimes.. but today it did not Acceptable or in any way.. We contacted them and it was a denial that it was fresh and the style was not nice and the response was that they should take their replacement!! Okay, if I had come to you, I wouldnt have ordered Doordash.. Sorry, people cant find their Egyptian money on the road, and its not nice for someone who works to take money unscrupulously.

Good food and moderate prices

What a stark difference to the Lawrance location. Visited on 29th May around 5ish; it was my Sons bday and he wanted to eat a cheese pie. We ordered 2 Zaatar, 1 akawi cheese, lebneh pie and a couple others. We found the size and filling (topping) were both lesser than the lawrance location. Lebneh pie was very hard (bread baked for long) and too oily.. we did ask for a drizzle of olive oil not a bath. The akawi pie too wasnt very well done. Luckliy taste was the same. I guess we will stick to the Lawrance location.

Amazing food. It was my first time trying this restaurant. Chicken was perfect, I tried mini pies too. Its hard to find a good restaurant.The staff there is so warm and welcoming especially Nidal. I would definitely visit again!

I m a Dailey costumer of al dewan , and every things good , the taste , the employees at ( al deewan , Scarborough) and specially Wafaa she received us with a beauty smile and love .

Was on my way home to Mississauga from Ottawa and randomly searched for someplace in Scarborough that sells Manakeesh. First place on the list was Al Deewan, and was it worth it. Best manakeesh I ve had in the GTA. It s safe to say I ll never again be able to eat from any of the places in Mississauga. I will drive out to Scarborough for Al Deewan every time I want some. I had cheese pie rolled with veggies and a regular zaatar. Both were incredible. I loved the dough, perfect thickness and the right amount of toppings. The lady that took my order was so nice and pleasant and the place just felt like I was in Lebanon. I loved it and will be back many times. I didn t even think of taking pictures as I finished them too fast before I got home!

Really good food and variety

The staff was super welcoming with a big smiles on their face no matter how busy it was. It was an unplanned visit to this spot and pretty impressed with the way they re managing with the rush. Their fresh bread and food with authentic blend in the flavours makes them special.

This bakery is tucked away in a plaza on Kennedy just south of Ellesmere. I ve been there twice and both times they ve been fairly busy. The flatbreads are prepped and baked fresh as you order, might have to wait depending on how many people are ahead of you. Breads are delicious, prices are more than fair and the staff is friendly. Great spot to grab a quick bite. Keep in mind they are baking as you order so it may take a bit of time (I don t think I waited more than 10-15 min tops and that was with several orders ahead of mine). Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options on the menu!

Assallamualaikum My friends. My only regret about moving back to Ohio is not being able to visit in the morning for a pizza and tea before work. I miss your generosity, clean atmosphere and the wonderful food that you prepare. If you ever take a notion of moving to Ohio may I suggest opening a bakery close to my home.

Was here last week when I had a very awful experience. I went in and placed my order and thought oh it s not busy should be out of here very quickly. Sadly that wasn t the case after I placed my order two guys came in and placed their order after me and literally left not even three minutes later. I was okay that s strange but it s okay. Then they had another few people come in and all their orders were taken and were already been served. As I was still waiting. I noticed they made a mistake with my order which I guess held them back. But that should even made them want to fix it faster but instead didn t and continued with others. I really felt a sense of discrimination as most people coming in were male and maybe that had to do something with serving them faster but really didn t appreciate the service. even when I finally got my order I never got sorry for the long wait or any sort of apologies. Really dissatisfied Ps they weren t phone orders I literally saw the people place the order in front of me but as you claim otherwise. They ordered and paid and not once did I hear any say it was a phone order.

Best manaeesh hands down love this place Update: Ordered an egg with cheese manakeesh today. It came out to $10!!!! I used to order it 4-5 months ago for $5 plus tax. I dont know what kind of inflation makes you raise the price almost 100%. Really disappointed. Update: Thank you for your offer. However as you can see in the picture attached the price was 4.99 and now its 8.99. Therefore the price increase is more than 2 dollars. I understand that its a tough time for business but a 100% increase is too much. Stay safe

Ordered small meat pies,cheese and and Spinch pies. All were old no taste and hard ,and had very little topping Basically they all had 98% bread You take one bite and you throw out the dough !!! I was asked to try them it see if the match the quality of Ghadeer, But found out not even close. Ghadeer pies you eat all 100% with dough filler left over they have 90 topping with flavor. Anytime I got order from Ghadeer they always fresh and hot,they do orders fresh daily all soft and full with ingredients unlike Aldewan they keep them tell next day or longer I guess so that is way they were hard and dry do I end up throwing out my remaining order. My advice to the owner to check out Ghadeer and compare to see if you can improve your recipes and quality of your food.

Amazing bakery with a lot of variety and great customer service. They were kind enough to offer us complimentary spinach pie to try. We got 12 mix pies, meat lovers manakeesh, and an ayran, and all that for $29 which is an amazing value for money. The parking is somewhat congested but still a whole lot of it. They do have a newly renovated dine-in area upstairs. They offer Lebanese breakfast options as well like foul and pita. I will definitely go back again for the authentic flavors they offer. Edit: Okay, back to 5 stars . From what I could see, that inattentive cashier from my last visit is gone and now the customer service is a 100X better! Steady stream of customers and efficiently coming in and out. There was someone actively asking what your order number was as some customers preferred to place an order and come back later. We ordered three Manakeesh (Im partial to their cheese combinations). We scarfed down two so fast and even hours later when we ate the third (not even bothering to reheat it), the Manakeesh was still so delectable. Thank you so much for the great food as always! Looking forward to when I can return! ............... (Orig review) This would have been 5 star because the manakeesh always tastes AMAZING, even cold, but whoever is manning the cash today is unattentive and doesnt seem to care about his job . I have no clue when my order was done as he never bloody called it and I was standing not far away from cash register (the place isnt that big). He called out other order numbers and passed out their food though. After 20 minutes we were fed up with waiting and asked him the status of the order. Cashier was like, Oh, yeah. Its here and unapologetically handed us our box that was sitting behind him. Ugh. (Had the chicken shawarma with cheese.)

Best Manakeesh ever in GTA

Absolutely love this place. Staff is always nice and the food brings you back home.

First time in this place and the last one for sure. I thought its the same manakeesh like Lebanese Bakery on the other side of the street, but my guess failed me. The person who gets paid for the orders didnt listen or understand my request and gave me what his baker can do, NOT what I wanted as a customer and charged me $2 extra, which I believed will be the exact wrap I used to have at Lebanese Bakery. Whats the point of smiling at the customers face and give him bad product and burned on the top of that. The wrap I had was burned and tasted plain, with no real Lebanese spices, also the pies I took home were all burned from the bottom. NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE. Very Bad experience. I rather stick with the old famous guy of Lebanese Bakery, because he knows his stuff very well. I am not promoting anyone here, just a comparison between 2 bakeries. Lebanese Bakery remains the top one in the GTA, while Al diwan needs many years to learn. I hope this helps.

my wife went there to get us some baked pies and we were shocked because not only it was dried up and far from fresh (even though the staff confirmed that it was fresh upon purchasing),yet the staff and the owner himself were rude ,racist and disrespectful at every level imaginable Despite the fact that -over the phone- they agreed to issue a refund upon return of the goods, when she went there she was sworn at, yelled at, called names and thrown out of the store. The way my wife was treated and the terms they used to verbally harass her is disgusting and ridiculous.

I am writing this review especially for MUSTAFA! It was my very first visit at al deewan manakeesh bakery yesterday and I was looked after by MUSTAFA. I want to you that Mustafa was very polite very friendly very welcoming very professional very helpful he gave me outstanding and above and beyond customer service! he was so patient with me he answered all my questions and he gave me a run down to the entire menu and how everything is made! MUSTAFA is a beautiful boy very hard working boy honest boy he looked after me as the owner would have! I rate Mustafa 10 out of 10 for her amazing outstanding service! and the food was DELICIOUS! I tried their mix cheese flat bread and their small pizza! absolutely delicious! the place is very cute looks very nice from inside lots of tasty drinks inside very clean bakery I had an amazing experience I would defineltly come back and bring my friends with me I want to show off to my friends a new amazing spot I discovered haha and I hope this next time I come I get to see MUSTAFA again hes a great energy boy GOD bless MUSTAFA and the BAKERY!

I ve been wanting to try this place for a while. The manakeesh definitely lived up to the star rating and was worth the drive. The amount of labneh spread was very generous, and the additional toppings on the side was a great touch. I tasted a mini spinach pie too and it was equally delicious. Will definitely return to try some other items from the menu. It helps that there is a new location even closer now at Warden and Lawrence!

Delicious food and very warm friendly reception. Ordered: 1) Baba Ghanoush (comes with 2 pita breads), 2) Mashrooha, 3) Muhamara and Cheese Manakeesh Every item faired well. When I asked for an interesting flavor to try for Manakeesh I was recommended Muhamara and Cheese, so I did. The flavor is very distinct; spicy, very rich in taste and goes quite well with cheese. I do recommend this flavor. Fine place to revisit at anytime.

The first time I went to buy manakeesh. I was very excited , I drove about 45 minutes to go there. The dough was home-made and fresh and tasted good. I decided to go back again because we liked it very much. I was expecting to get the same quality of manakeesh as before, the surprise was that they gave me Manakeesh which are made with ready made Naan bread the bread that can be sold in any store, I dont know whether the manager was aware of that or not !! I dont understand how come a professional manakeesh store uses ready made Naan bread !!! But anyways After what happened , I would not trust those people and I am not gonna buy Manakeesh from them again.

Amazing little bakery in Ottawa. The lady who helped me as very nice and very helpful in picking out sweets from their large collection. The deserts themselves were delicious and large in portion size, and the box it came in was also very unique. I will try to go here from now for deserts.

Delicious and authentic manakeesh that are always fresh and made to roder. I order by phone and when Im there 10 minutes later its almost always ready to go. I also have tried all of their mini hand pies and they are all so good too. My favourite is the spinach.

I don t get why anyone would rate this place anything below 5 stars Such good tasting manakeesh (AKA Lebanese pizza) with fresh meat or veggie toppings, what s not to love! One suggestion though, on your sign board you can mention pizza or some relatable terms so that non-Arabs can understand what you re selling in the shop. And your business is going to blow up I guarantee Insha Allah!

I got the meat manakeesh and the zatar with cheese. The crust is nice and crispy. The meat one could of used more meat as I tasted alot of tomatoes over the beef but overall really tasty. The zatar with cheese was more on the salty side but also tasty.

Had my breakfast today and was an immediate fan, the bread was pluffy and fresh as it can be. Staff was v polite and helpful as it was out first time. Ordered Donair, beef, sujuk and Nutella. All was upto par, small sitting arrangement and clean. Definitely coming back and recommending others.

I would recommend their Chicken Shawarma, my kids and wife really loved their cheese and sauce. Next time Ill try to taste something else as they are having huge halal food variety!

I stumbled across this store while waiting for an appointment. It s a small shop with ample of free parking. Their Lebanese pizza is sooo good. They make it fresh and it only takes a few minutes. The prices are super reasonable. They also have pre-made savoury pastries as well. I can t wait to try their other dishes

I have been here numerous times and the quality of the food is fantastic. The staff are extremely friendly and hardworking. The owner of the store (Mohammad) is an amazing guy and treats all of his customers with superiority. Highly recommend!

Over priced for a man2oushe, and customer service is the worse

Excellent bakery and very fresh out of the oven food. Tried their mini pies. And also ordered their donair flat bread, which was very filling and delicious. Will try dieter items next time around. Cheap food for less money and very filling. Highly recommend to stop by and give them a try. Customer service was great as well.

Really a worst experience. Ordered the food in morning to have something in brea but ended up with a really disgusting food. Both uber and restaurant is not providing any resolution and the guy on phone call said come with your food we will check. What is this i orderd the food on uber to get it delivered and now i have to go to restaurant for complaining. This is not nice at all. I never recommend anyone to come to this place again.

Amazing authentic Manakeesh.

Enjoyed the food and portions. Its also on the cheaper side compared to most food places. Definitely a hidden gem.

The best Arabic bakery

Very bad customer service..i ordered akkawi (and other manakeesh) they gave me regular cheese instead..although i heard one of them asking wheres the akkawi ..they just ended up giving me regular cheese ( didnt notice till i get home) which was probably there..just because they are busy and all stressed out Not the first time they mess up the order

One of the best Manakeesh places in the GTA. Their beef shawarma manakeesh is excellent. Za atar and cheese is a great option as well.

Nice arabic bakery with middle eastern items, like zaatar, jubaneh, labaneh, mini pizzas , pies etc. Nice friendly staff.
