Got the curry laksa with egg noodles and I was pleasantly surprised by how fantastic the food was. This will be my comfort meal from now on. The quantity is generous and the quality is fantastic. It very tasty and I was thinking of going back to get another portion. They only take cash so keep that in mind. The guy at the counter is super nice, friendly and helpful. Perfect customer service.
A small local hole in the wall restaurant serving up some delicious Malaysian food! Everything on their menu is very reasonably priced with most dishes around the $10 mark before tax. The food is prepared to order and is piping hot everytime it comes out. Their curry laksa is a must try! Staff is friendly and helpful as well!
Fairly comparable to genuine food from Malaysia. The Mee Siam and Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken were great. The hokien mee and char kuay teow were decent but maybe not as similar to Malaysia. Curry puffs were also a good snack. There is no dine in or walk in so you will need to email your order to them ahead of time. But there are no delays or wait when you come to pick them up.
One of the best Malaysia take-out food restaurant in Toronto, my family go here often because food is tasty, reasonable prices and very friendly! Keep in mind this is take out restaurant!
I tried their meehoon siam and curry laksa on Sunday. Both were authentic and tasty. Love their chilli sauce too! I would love to try their snacks and other dishes in my next visit. Only opened from Thursdays to Sundays. There are no seating areas but if they let you eat at their “bar tables”.
The food is out of this world...taking me right back to the hawker centers in Asia, delicious curry laksa, full of wok hey quay teow, crispy flavourful curry puff, nyonya kuih... The kuihs are freshly made, still warm when I had it. Their homemade chili sauce is a hit, but beware, it's hot. No hassle pre-ordering by email, very quick response, recommended pre-order to skip the wait.
One2 Snacks and Restoran Malaysia - my 2 favourite malay food spots in the GTA. This resto is literally like 8 seats. If you dine in, make sure you order laksa cuz it tastes way better as a dine-in item. I've voted their laksa, the best laksa in toronto and no I didn't stutter. The char kuey teow is also fantastic and has such amazing wok hay. I like that the portion sizes are absolutely gargantuan. Always feel like I'm getting maximum bang for my buck. The pad thai is ok. It's not as good as some other places. You can prolly skip trying this item if you order here. Curry puffs have really good spice but are a little on the dry side. I think that's just the way these are supposed to taste though. Out of all the desserts: kuih dadar (rolled coconut crepe) was my favourite. The other ones were either too contrasting of a sweet and salty nature or just too texturous haha. I didn't try the kuih seri durian because well ... not a fan of durian LOL. The family is some of the nicest people around. Always down for a chat when they're not busy.
Recommended by a friend we decided to give it a try. Required to order online 24 hours in advance for pickup. We ordered the Curry laksa noodle soup, Char Kway Teow, Mee Goreng, Curry puff and some Kuih Talam for dessert. It was delicious! True malaysian flavours. Best was the laksa and curry puffs. Perfectly made and very tasty. Will definitely go back again.
Consistently good.
Chao Guidao takeout is $12.5 + tax. First time going. I ate a little before taking pictures.
Very satisfied with kwe tiaor, curry puff is authentic indian malaysian taste.
Very good curry laksa and char kway teow!
Affordable tasty food with a good wok hey and good portions. Limited menu, takeaway only, and they can run out of things if you dont pre book some of the weekend items.
This is a take-out place, with very few tables and chairs. However, the service is very friendly and the food is great, despite a limited menu. The char kuay teow is to die for. Very authentic. Update: some of the more interesting menu items are only available on the weekend like nasi lemak. You can also call ahead to pickup for later.
my biggest complaint is there is not one nearer to me
Curry laksa is SO good. Char kway teow is not bad. Looking forward to trying their kuih and nasi lemak.
WOW! You want AUTHENTIC Curry Laksa? This is the spot. I cannot rave, rant or scream enough about how amaze-balls! this joint is. Very friendly staff. Call ahead as it is super busy on the weekends. This is hands down the best Laksa in the GTA if not Canada as a whole!
Such an amazing food! The Char Kway Teow was so so good! Hit the spot! Unbeatable prices too and such lovely staff!
The best Malaysian food in Toronto. Favorites are mixed noodle curry laksa with an authentic Malaysian flavor. Char kwei teow and Wat tan hor are very good choices too with good wok hei Food : 5/5
Dropped in recent Sunday 3pm - had the char kway teow - delicious, lots of wok hey - and kuih talam. Will return. Lots of people had pre-ordered. Waited 20 mins (estimate was 30). Friendly and helpful service (esp compared to so many rushed curt matter of fact takeout places)
Take out only, very reasonably priced dishes with generous portions, delicious and fresh from the wok. Service is quick and courteous as well. I like that they are not overly salty and yet the dishes still has enough wok hey to be appetizing. Went Saturday during noon and they are already out of the coconut pancake desert, so you need to go even earlier for that.
Is my favourite Laksa in Tor! Mix noodles with Laksa is the best. Must try their spicy sauce is so good. Food : 5/5
Had the Char Kway Teow (CKT) and requested it to be spicy. Tasted great.
Came all the way from Ottawa. Char kway teow was super fire! The owner was super nice and accommodating. Great value for food as well.
Was born and grew up in Malaysia, this has been the only authentic Malaysian restaurant Ive found since moving here. Bryan and the family are great :]
Don t order the rolled up coconut pancake desserts so there s more for me!! Everything is not too oily and well seasoned. Menu is limited but executed well. If you go on the weekend, expect items to be sold out! Be patient if you have not pre-ordered.
Best Malaysian foos in the GTA. Large service sizes paired with great pricing make it an outstanding deal. I got the Vegetarian Pad Thai. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Pad Thai is delicious
Food is always good and prices as well .Highly recomemded
Take out only and in advance order preferable. Malay, Singapore, and Indonesian food. Char kway teow, laksa, durian cakes, yummy..!! Food
scarborough hidden gem, fresh malaysian food and amazing service. takeout and cash only make sure to call/email before you come in. got the mee goreng, curry puffs, and my favourite, the char kway teow. portions were so good.
If you want to try an authentic Malaysia curry Laksa this is one amazing place to get it, very tasty for $10.81 before tax. All the items are priced lower then most stores. Take out only. Vegetarian options: You can order the food anyway you like it you can ask for no meat. Parking: Lots of free parking
My partner has been raving about this place for years and hes finally taken me here. Ordered the char kway teow and curry laksa. Ive never had food thats been cooked to perfection and you can taste the wok hei. The curry laksa was creamy and packed with flavor and toppings. We got mixed noodle. Highly recommended Malaysian food for such a good price. We went around 5pm on a Thursday and called 10 minutes before we got there and the food was fresh to order. Brian, took our order and had impeccable manners and customer service. Cash and takeout only.
I have been coming here with my brother after school since middle school. Now that we are older and no longer go to school around One2Snacks, we still come back for more. The food is comforting, affordable and filling. I have so much love for this restaurant.
Great service and great food!
Amazing Malaysian food. It s one of the cheapest in the city too. Take out only. Highly recommend their laksa curry noodles with mixed noodles. Hidden gem in the city Food
the best place for indo-malay food. Kid-friendliness: for family Recommended dishes Char Kway Teow
Amazing Malaysian takeout - super flavorful with tons of wok hei at a great price point. Highly recommend the Char Kway Teow and Curry Laksa.
The curry laksa soup was so good! Also had the chee Cheong fun which was great too. I will definitely be back. The prices were super inexpensive and you get so much food! The service was also great. Note: this place is mainly a takeout place, though I think they had one high table and some chairs.
This place has some of the best char kway teow Ive ever had. The wok hei (smokiness) is really top notch. As many have mentioned before, its best to email your order a few days ahead. Ive never had any luck doing random walk-in orders so I only pre-order now to avoid disappointment. Prices are reasonable and you tell the owners really care about their product/customers.
The curry laksa was very tasty!
Bryan and his family has been running this place for well over a decade. There is a reason why you can t even order most menu items on the spot without advance ordering. Because the food is that good. Call in advance or even email them a day in advance if you want to ensure you get your order for your preferred time.
This is a hidden gem for authentic Malay food with great prices and bold flavours. Its takeout only and some of our favs are the char qway teow and the laksa.
The laksa is the best in Toronto. You must get the laksa when you come here.
The gentleman taking the orders is very nice. Such politeness is rare nowadays. Got the Curry Laksa with the egg noodles. Honestly it s very good, great flavour but not the best. Portion is decent.
Place can be described as a kitchen and pick up location. Order first then is informed about the expected pick up time. I ordered two dishes and they were quite delicious. May change my ratings after ordering about 60% of the menu items. Hours of operation are from Thursday to Sunday. This location is quite remote as the street lights are dim. The shop lights were also dimmed which made me circle around the area twice. Best description of the location is 60m North West of Glen Watford and Sheppard. Youll see a parking circle when you drive in and will see the shop located close to the northeast section of that strip mall. Its a cash only operation for purchases and the store can accommodate about 7 patrons to pick up their ordered items. Will certainly order from the store again.
Best laksa in Scarborough
Excellent
Food is great here but hoping for more selection during weekdays :)
A family owned (mostly takeout) business, and they treat you like youre one of them! Ive been going here since 2012 and the food has never disappointed. Its hard to get your order in on the day of because of such high demand, but its definitely worth it if you can! Otherwise, try to plan ahead and email your order in a day in advance. Trust me, its worth it. The food is absolutely amazing, and you cant beat the value for it. The portions are large and very filling. If you come on weekends, theyll also have desserts available at the front, but they get quickly scooped up by everyone. This is my favorite place to get food in Scarborough, and Brian and his family are amazing, friendly people.
Tried their curry puffs and laksa. The wait was about 20 minutes after lunch time. Everything was made fresh to order and delicious!
The laksa is amazing and Brian who works here is so nice over the phone as well as when picking up my order!!
This is a take out only store located in a plaza on Glen Watford drive off Sheppard ave. I highly recommended to call in advance and place the order as the store may or may not take walk in order depending on how busy they are. The gentleman who answers the phone is extremely polite and patience with my order as I don t recognize most of the menu choices, I ended up ordering their famous items and they are the curry Laksa and a char kway teow. I reheated the Laksa soup and fried noodles at home and they are amazingly good!!! The Laksa noodle has minced chicken, tofu puff and fish balls in it and you have a choice of egg noodle, vermicelli or half and half. The fried noodle dish also has a lot of ingredients in it, it looks similar to the Chinese stir fry beef noodles but the taste is richer. It was a yummy meal and will definitely go back and try out the other dishes
The food is incredible! I cant believe the quality of the cuisine that comes out of such a small place. The curry puffs are a must try and the Meehoon Siam is fantastic. I havent had a chance to try out their weekend menu yet, but I am sure it is great as well. Parking: There is a fair amount of parking available in the plaza lot.
I really wanted to love the laksa but was very disappointed as it was very bland. We used to go to a place called Gourmet Garden and they had the best laksa! The place itself is a hole in the wall, take out only place. Their service is quick considering that theyre busy. Will need to try their mee goreng as they wouldnt accommodate that request when we went. Will update of we go back.
Char kway teow was so amazing. 10/10 would recommend
Noodles had great wok flavour and one of the last places in the GTA where you can get noodles under 10 dollars a plate. Portions are massive. Weekend special curries here are also excellent in terms of flavour and portions.
Amazing food, attentive staff, such good value!
The best place for Malaysian food. Cant beat a meal under $10
Bryan & his family serve up some of the GTA s best Malay food at affordable prices and with the friendliest service. bring cash and order takeout via email in advance to avoid a hangry wait time! Go-tos include laksa with mixed noodles, wat tan hor, char kway teow, and curry puffs. Desserts are available on the weekends and are fabulous (kueh dadar, talam, serimuka).
Best char kway teow Ive ever had..
Phenomenal authentic experience with a warm welcome by Brian! Interesting but simple process of having to e-mail and order ahead of time, but more than worth it since they prep a certain amount of everything on the menu everyday, and they can sell out items even by opening hour. Char Kuey Teow is my favourite type of comfort food similar to other asian Beef Rice Noodle dishes and they nailed it with a bit more spice and bouncy noodle texture. Curry laksa was the surprise highlight for me; creamy, spicy and full of great aromas, and it was fun with two noodle types to mix and enjoy. Amazinggg desserts and pastries; shredded coconut crepes Kuih Dadar, and must try Kuih Seri Durian (not overwhelming durian flavour, nice and light), and the rest of the Kuihs too. Insanely affordable prices, feels like I m robbing them of quality foods and leaving guiltily satisfied.
Good Malaysian foods for take-out! Curry laksa is good and others too. They also carry Malaysian desserts during the weekend.
Ughhh everything here is just perfection..
Amazing char kway teow and the sweetest service!! My friend and I were chatting in the car while we were waiting and the kind cashier literally brought our food out to us! Curry puffs were also delish. Try this place!!!
Amazing service! Brian was at the front, very attentive and was able to make an appointment for me when I called. He was very friendly and the food was ready by the time he gave me. Food prices are affordable, Food was amazing, atmosphere was friendly. 10/10 recommended
I love getting the desserts here & the hokkien mee! Takeout only, I believe cash only, order in advance over email & pickup at your requested time. Great place. Super efficient!
It s been a long time since I ve been to this store in Malaysia. It s only open from Thursday to Sunday! It would be better if you call to make a reservation! Good price! Pulut panggang - includes: banana leaves, glutinous rice with small fillings inside, fragrant coriander and shrimp, the rice has a coconut aroma, and is delicious. Kuih dadar - Coconut pancake would be better if it had less sugar kuih Talam - a Malaysian, common snack, coconut milk cake
Bryan is always a pleasure to deal with. The Char Kway Teow is amazing and good value.
Food is delicious! Everything was amazing. The customer service was also excellent! I would highly recommend one 2 snacks!
Outrageously good Malaysian food served up at this take-out and cash only joint. The food is exquisite, authentic, and comes in massive portions (consider having the laksa for two meals). Nice staff, too.
Truly authentic Malaysian food and great service. Call 20 mins in advance to pick up to minimize wait time.
Best Malaysia food in town, chur kway teow, curry children, lasik and nasi lemak are my favourites
All the dishes are winners. Go with an open mind and get ready to have an amazing meal.
100% Worth it. 100% Legit and Authentic Malaysian food. They only accept cash, you typically have to order a day in advance, but its worth every penny. The food prices have remained affordable and you always feel satisfied after eating their food. 10/10 would recommend!!
I always order by emailing my order just a day or two before, and its always ready when I go to pick it up. I think this is the best Malaysian food that Ive had outside of KL!! I especially love the char kway teow and wat tan hor. Excellent hot wok flavour. Generous portions. Would give this place 6/5 rating if I could. October 2023 update -- still AMAZING definitely need to order at least a couple of days in advance via email. Theyve very reasonably raised their prices but considering inflation and their large serving sizes, the pricing is still very affordable. Take out only.
The best Malaysian food outside of Malaysia
Weve been going here for at least a decade and have always been super satisfied with our food and service. Brian takes customer service to another level, and hes always on point with his time estimates. Food here is absolutely fire and always consistent. Their char koay teow is my fav, with their laksa a close second. We always get an order of their curry pastries as well. Its recommended to order in advance as they run out of food all the time, so dont be disappointed if Brian turns you down if you walk in. Just contact them the day before and theyll set you up.
Great Malaysian food with reasonable price, takeaway only, better to reserve before or otherwise need to wait for about 15 minutes, beware of opening hours as it rests on Monday to Wednesday
Authentic Malaysian food at reasonable prices. Email the orders a few days ahead for the weekend pick ups. Otherwise, you will need to wait a couple of hours for the stir fry dishes.
Always great food and fresh and piping hot with Uncle Rogers favourite wok hay Vegetarian options: Just request it and theyll make it Tofu is usually the vegetarian substitt
This is the best Malaysian food in the city! I wish that they were open more days a week. You will never have more authentic and quality food for this price anywhere in Toronto. Most places would be charging at least double. Brian is the kindest and most hard-working person. I assume that this is a family business, and he is the one in charge of all of the customer relations and taking orders. He is genuinely a great guy, and such a perfect face for the business. Please note that this is only for takeout. Whenever there is something special going on in our lives, we will make the special drive out just to have their delicious food. By far my favourite place to come in all of Toronto. As I mentioned, you will not find better value anywhere else. Thank you so much, Brian for always providing such stellar service -the food never disappoints as well! Parking: There is a large parking lot, and should it be filled, there is one literally next-door.
Ordered Char Kway Teow for my partner, who is an all-around foodie & Asian noodles enthusiast! H said it was one of the tastiest, most flavourful noodle dishes hes ever eaten, and LOL hes asking for more again!! I thought it was unconventional when told I had to order via email, and better to do so in advance. So I did what was instructed...long story short, everything worked out well, service is so warm and friendly... price is also very affordable for 2023!! Highly recommend!! We will definitely be ordering again soon!
I got the Char Kway Teow. It was amazing, until I realized there were shrimps in it and that I have a seafood allergy. But it didnt matter because I kept eating it because it was so good, and I didnt get an allergic reaction. I finished 97% of the dish except for the 3 shrimps that didnt give me a reaction. I therefore conclude that shrimps dont actually exist and I am just imagining their existence. 11/10, would eat again
Great authentic Malaysian food at fantastic prices. I try to eat at One2Snacks as often as I can Before Covid, there wasnt a lot of space to eat at the restaurant. One2Snack is generally more oriented as a take out place. Its run by a very nice family. They have things well organized with Covid. The only challenge is that sometimes you have to wait a bit for your food as there are usually a lot of orders. Its a demand verses supply thing. You taste the food, you will understand. Regular customers know its well worth the wait. Once youve tried their food, you will become a regular.
One2snacks is one of the most authentic Malaysian takeout restaurants Ive ever tried. I think the curry laksa is one of the best things you can get there and I recommend everyone try it. You should not skip out on this place as it is very delicious and I highly recommend everyone come here
The food is great. Real authentic taste!
My favourite place for laksa , mee goreng , durian cake, Pullet with coconut rice , and pink dessert as well as the green ones highly recommended but be sure to email them to make sure your order is confirmed ahead of time of when you want to pickup the food!!!!
Best laksa around! Just make sure you call a day in advanced to place an order.
Highly recommended: Stunningly good char kway teow, wok hei galore, beautiful balance, bursting with flavour. Kind, welcoming service. IMPORTANT: you must place your order by email in advance, cash only.
Great service! I sent an email with my order, got a call back to confirm the order and time. Easy peasy. The Curry puffs were also great as well as the noodles!
My wife and I just tried this place for the first time tonight. We both had the laksa and shared an order of the curry puff.WOW the food was amazing perfectly spiced and just absolutely delicious. We ordered a day ahead and it was ready when requested. We will definitely be back.
Ordered a few types of noodles and curry puffs...All are yummy, going back for more.
Food is really tasty with a nice air of the wok flavour. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is made fresh to order and the curry puffs have a great crust. The one downside is the wait is long (and can also be fully booked even though it is takeout!) so you have to email your order a day in advance to not be disappointed.
Edited: I was not overcharged as I initially thought. Prices listed under the menu tab on Google are outdated. We ordered the Char Kway Teow and the curry Laksa; they were both good. The curry was full of flavour and had a prominent lemongrass flavour which my husband loved. The Char Kway Teow was also good, but not as good as the curry Laksa. It had a nice smoky flavour, but, it was a little oily. I was happy that they catered to my dietary needs with no problems and were able to make the Char Kway Teow to my specifications. What had me a little confused is what they charged my husband for the two meals. Online it states that the meals cost $8.25 each which would work out to $18.65 in total, my husband paid over $22.00 for the meals?!? Id go back, but, will pay close attention to what they charge us for our food, next time.
Great family run business. It gets busy at times so order ahead and indicate spice level. The best laksa (all yellow noodles for me) and Wat Tan Hor in GTA. Huge portions; excellent value for money.
Excellent chow kwai teow and laksa! Highly recommended and we always come back! 5 stars :)
Placed my order over the phone: char kuey teow-mee, beehoon-mee laksa, and mee siam. When we got there, we added curry puffs to the order. The bill came up for about $38 - slightly more expensive than their menu displayed on Google but it s okay, because the food brought back lots of fond memories of Malaysian delights - SO SO GOOD! I wish to return one of these days for their weekend kuihs. Friendly service, superb food, large portions. Maybe just need to improve on the laksa packing - the lid leaked precious (seriously precioussSss) laksa soup all over.
Great foods and great service.
Delicious and excellent quality food. I drive one hour just to get my food fix here.
Great Malay-Chinese wholesome delight!!!
Absolutely unreal! Food is great and prices are very reasonable (CHEAP). Its rare that I am in the area on a day they are open but it is a huge treat when I am (and when they can actually squeeze me in)
Great experience as first time diners to One2Snacks! Our family were accommodated last minute even though Emails are generally required to order a day before. Food was hit, fresh and tasty! And very authentic (I am Indonesian but have a great appreciation for Malay food!) The best was the portions and the prices though, more than fair. Will absolutely be back to try other dishes (our fave was the lasksa).
One of the best Malaysian restaurants I ve been to in Canada. Great prices for huge portions and the service is amazing. I d order the whole menu if I could.
Great Food. Been Regular for more than 10 years Best Laksa in Toronto. Kuih kuih also best that I tasted.
Delicious...
Authentic Malaysian cuisine, with a focus on hawker food. The curry puffs took 15 minutes, but the wait was worth it as the puffs were crispy and the flavours were amazing. The customization options for the laksa was worthwhile to note: choice of vermicelli, egg noodles or a mix + spice levels for the soup base (there was 5 levels to choose from!). Not pictured in the broth was the chicken and shrimp. Totally worth the wait. Both items were under $10 (rare to find these days). Cant wait to try other items on the menu.
We went to One2Snacks on a weekday early dinner time and they were busy with takeout orders. They are actually always busy because they are only open Thursday-Sunday (11am-7pm). There is no dine-in, just take-out and you need to call in advance. Their line was unfortunately unable to be reached, so we went to the store to order and we waited quite a bit around 15-20 minutes. We got one dish, the Char Kway Teow ($9.95) and it was honestly SO DELICIOUS and worth the wait. There was a lot if meat including pork and shrimp, the portion was big, the noodles were not overcooked, well seasoned and not too salty. Just the perfect noodle dish at an affordable price. I don t know what else can beat it, I understand why this place is so popular. The only downside is their order system, hopefully they can make a more efficient system for customers to order. But I can t wait to come back and try other dishes!
recommended by friends and tried, the nyonya kuih is really good and impressed me a lot. It is family owned business and the food is affordable. highly recommend to give a call or email them in advance to order cuz take out only.
Best Malaysian Food in Toronto!! I had been searching for Malaysian food that was close to what I had experienced back home in Malaysia and One2Snacks is absolutely the closest thing to that! The food is delicious and the portions are great. I had their laksa, mee goreng, char kway teow, and all their desserts. Their customer service is great, the gentleman who works at the front is super friendly and helpful. You can pre-order ahead by emailing them a couple days in advance. I will definitely be back!!
The BEST Malaysian food in GTA. Someone needs to do some pro bono social media work for this small biz family to help them out!!!
This fried rice noodle is really something you won t get tired of eating.
The best authentic Malaysian restaurant in the GTA. By far, the best Char Kway teow ever!
One2Snacks is almost everyone s favourite of all time when it comes to laksa! Staff is super friendly, place is clean, takeout is fast, food is amazing, and the list goes on. Really self explanatory once you ve experienced it. However, the missing star for it to be 5 star is due to availability. You ll be lucky if you can place an order as they re either always sold out or open at very odd times. Strongly recommend calling ahead or preordering. It s a small family business and they re killing it, so it is what it is. I don t think they can fix this issue, but at the end of the day, food and service when it s available, one of my most recommended spots in all of GTA.
Very good laksa, friendly owners
Found this place while doing a google search of some of Scarborough s best food joints! The food in fantastic! We ordered about 5 dishes + curry puffs for 6 people and it was more than enough food. What s even more important to note was that customer service was top notch. I have a peanut, shrimp and soy allergy (yes - Malaysian food probably wasn t the best choice for me lol), but I took a chance to see if there was anything I could eat. They were extremely accommodating and patient with what I could and could not eat, making adjustments to the dishes and even when I came to pick it up reminding me which dishes were and were not for me! Great place and highly recommend!
Being a Malaysian, it is hard to find authentic Malaysian food. But this place comes really really close. I love all the kuih muih (deserts) and char kway teow. The nasi lemak is a favourite too. The staff is superb! Very polite and Malaysian mannered (everyone is auntie and uncle). The place is very clean which is always a plus.
The person at the front explained that they were really busy and was booked till 630 on Sunday which normally closes at 7. This was at roughly 4pm. He was nice enough to squeeze us in and I got the curry laksa and curry puffs for me and my friends. It. Was. Excellent. Portion wise one laksa could feed two people moderately or one person with a huge appetite. Curry puffs were also great. My friends and I loved it. Though note its take out only. I WILL come back again and Im from Mississauga.
Very good,Very nice,food
Super yummy! Got the Char noodles and took me back to Penang. Curry puffs were delicious as well. Will be back for sure
Very authentic, delicious malaysian food! Worth the 40 minute drive. Everything on the menu is amazing.
As a Singaporean who currently lives in Scarborough, imagine my excitement to have tried onetwosnacks. Price is reasonable and would recommend if you miss the taste of home. My favourite is the kuihs, got kuih dada and durian talam (or seri muka). I really enjoyed it, highly recommend! My angmoh boyfriend who has not had durian before enjoyed it too. Nasi lemak - rice is fragrant and good. Ratio of sambal to rice is off, too much rice and little sambal. Would be nice if we had more sambal. Peanuts tasted old. Char kuey noodles - tasted legit like home, would recommend.
This review is long overdue. This is a very good Malaysian restaurant. Their food is so yummy and addictive. My favourites are the curry laksa and wat tan hor. I love their desserts too! Great customer service and delicious food. Can t go wrong with that combo!
Curry laksa is amazing. Just a takeout counter so not much atmosphere to note.
Rarely open. Out of the 8 weekend days (over the course of 2 months) I tried calling them, they were open just once. The one time they were open, the food was solid. Not worth the hassle of trying to order from them and almost always getting their answering machine, however.
Great lakes curry rice noodles. Can be busy at times but worth the wait
This place is busy but the food is cheap and good! They have a special menu for the weekends too! Right now it is takeout only.
The best family owned business for all your Malaysian cravings! Pretty much tried everything on the menu but my go-to are Curry Laksa and Wat Tan Hor. The curry puffs are very similar to samosas and you could never go wrong with their Nasi Lemak. The portions are also very generous (pictured is only half the portion size)
Too bad that its been a while since they made Roti Canai! The Curry Laksa was tasty.
Always run out of raw material and doesnt update the customer of their hours
Great food, friendly staff, and one of the only places to get amazing Malaysian food in the GTA, really! My parents from Ottawa come here everytime they visit just to get their food. Im so sad to find out they had to close because of one of their family members health condition. I really hope they get better soon!!
Amazing food and amazing service! They have the best and most authentic Malay food in the city!
I always love their food, especially their Laksa. Today i passed by and saw this notice. I hope your dad will get well soon. Praying for your family. Stay safe and take care.
Been going here for years. Always good for me. Laksa is one of my favourites
Really nice people, incredible kueh, good Malaysian laksa and nasi lemak. Big serves, low prices
Hands down best Malaysian food Ive had in GTA. Brian and his family are always so welcoming and friendly! Hope your dad is recovering well!
Excellent food , and the owner are very pleasant too.
Hands down the best authentic Malaysian Laksa that you can get in the Greater Toronto Area. ( Ive been to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia three times and tasted different types of Malaysian food)
They have a good list of dishes but we regularly get curry laksa and kuey teow. Very authentic Malaysian food!
When I say this is one of the best mom and pop shop in Toronto, I am not lying. The food is amazing! Their char kway teow is a stir fried master piece. To top it off, Brian gives such a hospitable service and their hard work really shows. Truly a staple!
Email to order
Best laksa :-) in Scarborough E mail my order with contact # a day ago... Brian will call n confirm the order .. Go pick up my order....Right on time Good job!!
A small take out Malaysia restaurant operates by a family. They serve good traditional Malaysia dish and I especially like their lasa noodles.
If you want authentic Malaysian food, then look no further than One2Snacks. I had amazing Char Kway Teow in Penang, Malaysia and their dish came the closest to satisfying my craving for spicy, fried noodles. Ill be returning to this small family-run restaurant to eat my way through their small menu. Tip - They serve large portions so go hungry and make sure to grab their chilli oil for an extra kick
I am a Singaporean who has been living in the GTA since 2017. In the GTA, this is the place that does the best for all that they have in the menu. I must mention that the laksa is even comparable with the better than average Laksas I get back at home. Prices here are very very affordable whereby nothing is higher than $10 for a big portion that easily feeds 2 people. Char kway teow comes with generous serving of prawns for its value. Brian, the gentleman who handles the orders at the front counter is always serving enthusiastically with a smile and it s always a pleasure catching up with him in little bits of Malay. My best wishes to the family running this take out shack and as much as I would like to thank the family for providing a student like me with this option to feel at home, I wish the owner all the best to be in the pink of health.
Great food and fast service. Great little joint to get take out to hit craving
Their food is always delicious
AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AS POSSIBLE! Either I went in person or called over 20 times, each time they are sold out. Seriously?? All your food sold out around 5pm, really? You do know you are open until 7pm? Finally went, I was able to order a food, service was poor and the food taste horrible. They deliberately limit supply so that people believe the food is good. BTW, the kitchen is very dirty from what I can see. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RESTAURANT!
This restaurant deliberately limit supply so that people believe it is good. One out of sixteen times it is out of food. Food has lots of msg.
This place is a hidden gem . I was introduced by my Malaysian boss and is my favourite spot. Two trips to Malaysia this place is the closest you will find in comparison . For 6 years now this have been a regular and the food is always fresh and super delicious and the staff is unbelievably friendly. I do know they have long wait times but call ahead because it s certainly worth it. The hokkien mee and char kway teow is phenomenal . This place is the best !!!!!!!!!!!!
Very good food for excellent price. Bryan and his family are amazing.
Very tasty Singapore/Malaysian style street food. Laksa and Pad Thai are must try. Opens weekends only for takeouts. Have to email your order first.
Best malaysian food in scarborough
I ve heard a lot of good things about One2Snacks, so I was definitely excited to try their food. As they are always busy, you have to preorder your food by email, and wait for a confirmation (which is usually within a day). But trust me, if you re looking for delicious Malaysian food that s affordable, this is the spot! We preordered their curry puffs and Char Kway Teow, and despite being alittle alittle late to pick up, the food was still hot. We ordered the Char Kway Teow to be mild, and even then there was a slight kick. It was very delicious as you can taste the wok hay /wok air. Next time I will order regular spicy the curry puffs were freshly made, and I loved the fillings inside (potato and cumin seeds inside!) Overall, I would definitely come back again to order their food. Make note that they only accept cash as well! IG: Ayenomz
Amazing food! Highly recommend this hole in the wall place.
Theres some preplanning required if you want to eat here, by emailing your order a day or so ahead, specifying your spicyness level too. I ordered the Hokkien mee (non spicy), which was deliciously saucy with wok hei, and the curry laksa (can specify yellow noodles or vermicelli, or mix). The food was ready at my requested time and super hot. Each order could probably feed 2. You can see the flames from the kitchen reflected in the doorway Ill be back to try the weekend-only desserts!
Best Malaysian food.
Very good quality tasting food! Great service! Consistent taste and quality! Very reasonably priced. Pleasant people to deal with! Very effective on communication. Well family run business
Crossposted on IG This little gem of a place omgaaaaash, satisfied my cravings for Malaysian foooooooooood I think I found my favourite Malaysia food spot! First of all, why so cheap tho(Im not complaining just pleasantly surprise!), AND food tasted so good, so full of familiar flavours(hello Ikan Bilis and Sambal!!!!), good portions, more importantly this place only take me 10 mins drive to get there I highly recommend this place! Do give them a call to order if you are interested!!!
Great food with friendly service. The best Malaysian noodle dishes I ve had and I look forward to trying the other menu items. Only downside is that you have to order a day in advance. I did it via email and the response time was quick. However, I would probably visit here more often they offered walked in service.
Omg! I ve found it!!! Through my extensive travelling experience, I always remember a saying how the tongue remembers . I ve been missing the taste of authentic Malaysian cuisine until I found One2Snacks! Thank you for this love everything on the menu. TIPS: Weekend s Kuihs were delightful! 5 stars all the way.
Good and cheap eat
Amazing food.
The best laksa in Ontario
My favorite place for Malaysian food. On most days, you have to wait over an hour for your order. That tells how good the food is. Better call in with your order an hour earlier.
Always great food and service here, have been back around 3-4 times over the years. Got the Meehoon Siam, hokkien Mee, and curry laksa. The desserts they have on the weekend mornings are amazing too! Remember to order ahead for pickup or else you might have a little bit of a wait.
Authentic Malaysian food
Amazing eats with amazing prices!! Recommend to order ahead by email with type of noodles and level of spice included. They will confirm they received your email order.
Delicious food in every aspect. We ordered ahead mid afternoon and Brian was incredibly helpful navigating the menu. This was exactly what we were looking for. The food couldn t have been better. The food was made with such care and was worth the drive. Probably the best bang for buck we have eaten out in some time. Can t wait to go back again.
Authentic food and unbeatable value. They always sell out for the day by dinner time, way before closing. Do yourself a favor and email them to order your food a week in advance to avoid disappointments.
This is my first time trying out this take out place and I heard great reviews about it. I tried the meehoon siam, mee goreng, chow kway teow, 2 pulut panggang and 6 curry puffs. I have been to Malaysia and Singapore many times previously, and this comes close to what they serve over there. Brian was really friendly and gave some good food recommendations. Although I did want to try their desserts but they were all sold out. The balachan adds a kick of spice to your meal and brings out all the aromatic flavours. Also the curry puffs are a must try as its filled with lovely spices, fluffy potatoes and the pastry just is awesome. The pulut panggang is fragrantly delicious and moist with glutinous rice mixed with coconut. One thing to note is its advisable to send an order by email preferably a day in advance to avoid disappointment. This guarantees you on getting what you ordered.
Cheap and delicious authentic dishes
Nice
Everything on the menu is very authentic and taste very good. Especially the curry chicken, a lot of place has bones in it and it ruins it for me, but not this place. Everything on the menu is worth to try at least once. You know what they say, the more ghetto the place looks, the better the food.
One of the best in Scarb!
My favourite Malaysian food! Absolutely delicious, Ive been going here for years! Brian is extremely helpful and nice, and he has an amazing memory! My favourites are the Laksa and Mee Goreng, but to be honest, everything on the menu is so tasty! The spiciness is perfect as well! Thank you for the amazing service every time!!!
Most Amazing Food, tiny place, almost impossible to find a stool to sit, but the food is just out of this world. Brian and his parents bring a little piece of heaven to Scarborough. Pro Tip Call ahead ..
Love this place! Brian and his parents are awesome. They make the best laksa. Every time I come back to Toronto, I have to go.
Tasty Malaysian dishes. Has gotten steadily busier and best to call your order in ahead of time. Sometimes they are sold out of certain dishes.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We love it so much we happily drive 30min each way for Char Keow Teow and Laksa. The best Malaysian food in Toronto!!
Amazing place.
