It was a cold day, so we decided to have some noodle soup. We ordered their beef noodles special size extra large $14.50 Portion was not great, very little meat, mainly noodle and soup. I use to go to their North York location and the Portion is fair. Will not be coming back Scarborough location. Parking: Plaza parking

Was in the mood for pho and came across this little place near my new job. I had the rare beef pho and it was delicious, perfect on a cold day! I will be back.

I go here every single week, sometimes multiple times a week as I work in the area. Food is alright but service is terrible. They straight up ask their customers for a tip on service that was mediocre at best. Their food is a hit or miss. Broth is too salty sometimes and other times it lacks flavour. Disgusting attitude from staff, never going back.

Called this location to order and the lady after listening to first item hung up the phone. Called again but the lady is not helpful....after one minute again hung up the phone. Very unpolite attitude. If the English language is the problem, they should hire someone especially for taking orders by phone. That was a big no atleast from my side.

The service was very pleasant. The atmosphere is wish like any Vietnamese restaurant. But the pho noodle broth was impeccable. Also, I really wanted beef tripe pho, but in this restaurant years and years ago they used to make it which a little Tom Yum flavoring. Leaving my extra large bowl perfect. Best pho Ive had in almost decade.!! Ask for tom yum paste if youre feeling adventurous!!

Good food, except I hate that they serve tea in a plastic cup now. It use to be one of my favourite things, but they ruined it. Poor decision.

Very fast and clean. Pho was good but not as good as the last time I was there.. not as tasy. But still a nice place to go.

Order their beef and tendon pho. Didnt find any tendon. Called the server over and said there is only piece. Did you eat it? I found the one piece, but, seriously, ONE PIECE??! I complained to the cashier, but she was dismissive and went to attend other matters. Terrible. Avoid.

Worst customer service ever. I have not seen such a rude behavior from any asian restaurant like this. Very unprofessional. Not recommended at all.

Got a roll for takeout with peanut sauce, but they gave me someone elses used peanuts sauce!!! There were pieces of noodle, veggie and salad mixed in with the sauce. This is absolutely gross and unacceptable.

The customer service is very bad, they ask you to pay with cash, and they also charge you taxes .The food is very bad since they changed the owners, I will never return.

It sucks in here, they are so stingy with there meat. This place has gone really downhill. It is not at all your moneys worth.

The food at this restaurant tastes good, and the male waiter was very nice, I would give him five stars and I would tip over 10% every time he served us. However, my overall experience was quite negative this time, mainly due to the poor service from the older waitress with glasses. 1. The older waitress with glasses accidentally dropped chopsticks into our soup while we were drinking it. 2. My drink was contaminated by a fly, but a younger waitress promptly replaced it, which was appreciated. 3. They served us the wrong food but explained that it could be our typo error on the order sheet, without verifying the order with us first. Despite these issues, what made the experience particularly bad was when the older waitress with glasses forced us to leave a tip. She was insistent and made us feel uncomfortable, even after I explained our poor experience. It s important to note that tipping is not mandatory and should reflect the quality of service received. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially if served by the OLDER WAITRESS WITH GLASSES.

Good Vietnamese soup

This is our go-to spot for pho! The best if you are in the Scarborough area. They are very generous with their portions and the staff is very friendly. We always come back here when we are craving for some pho. :) Just keep in mind this place is cash only!

Always my go to place whenever I want to eat something good for a cheap price

Ive been here couple of times. Good food and would love to keep on coming back except on one factor. Cashier is hardly pushing for tips and would keep on saying that tips are not included in the receipt and will give you an upset face if you will not! But even if you dropped anything on the tip box, she and the other woman will say something at you. I just heard the word CHEAP while they were talking in their own language with upset face just after leaving a tip. She will also ask you to leave the tip on the counter and not on the tip box, and that I didnt follow.

This has to be my favourite restaurant. I love Vietnamese food and their chicken and beef on broken rice is soo good! I have yet to try the Pho but I eat here every time I order takeout once a month! Prices are very affordable, but bring cash as it s CASH ONLY. You can call ahead and order for pick up and they will have it ready for you! Vegetarian options: The fried tofu is delicious!

Cash only establishment. Restaurant offers no discount for paying cash only unlike other establishments. Food was alright, definitely not the best Vietnamese restaurant in town by a mile. Deep fried spring rolls not the typical fluffy puffy texture type like at other Vietnamese joints, more like a Chinese style spring roll paper (as confirmed when i heard the staff speak Cantonese). This place however is a descent option if you live around the area looking to eat at an asian restaurant. I may visit again in the future.

A cozy gem! I dined in and had a lovely time. The people there are very friendly and want to make your experience a delightful one. I had some chicken pho and spring rolls. Delicious. Be prepared to pay with cash!! They do NOT have a debit or visa machine, nor an atm. Your best bet in a pinch is the RBC in the same plaza, they will hold your table for you.

My favourite place in Toronto to get Pho. The food is always delicious, in the summer time they have the best fruit milkshakes, the owner is very sweet, and all the staff there are very kind. I ve been going here since highschool and they ve always treated us well, we get our food fast, and we always leave satisfied.

Ate here with my friends and they took my plate as soon as I stood up to order something else. They can clearly see that the people with me are still eating and they continued to ask, not once, but twice if they were done with their plate. I understand if they were busy and need some tables but there s barely any people there with us. When I came to pay, the cashier asked if I want my change. My change is more than 10$, of course I want my change I know that we should tip to show our appreciation but holy, the girl was literally staring me down while i get my change like chill bro I m not running away without tipping you and with that type of service I don t think it s deserving a $10 tip. Definitely not a pleasant experience, the food is not bad but the service is bad. Not eating here again.

Update review: Had seafood udon and was quite tasty. My sis and mom shared the seafood pad Thai but were not thrilled with it as they found it a bit bland Great pho and Vietnamese vermicelli bowls. Reasonable prices and good service

They forced me to pay a tip and they didn t even come to my table once to ask if I needed anything. Plus I had to ask for water multiple times. The lady was moody and rude overall.

Extremely unprofessional and rude staff. One young lady asked me not to come again there since I didn t TIP after experiencing rude behaviour while ordering food. I don t understand how can they expect TIP after disrespectful behaviour. -They didn t explain when I asked about a food in the menu. -Grabbed the paper while writing the order saying Enough -Didn t even came to the table once to ask if we need anything Not going back again.

The food here is great. I love their pho, its delicious! I had the fried tofu as well and it was super crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. They only take cash so that was a bit inconvenient but other that no complaints.

Ive been coming here for years. This place has really good Pho and Vermicelli at good prices. It is Cash Only, so be aware before you sit down (theres a TD across the street). Service is always quick and friendly and well definitely be back!

Service: our server was very helful and attentive, she consulted thr kitchen to make sure that our vegetarian dish does not contain any meat items in it - 6 stars for her service of excellence. Atmosphere: clean, casual family and corner restaurant with natural light. Kid-friendliness: 100%

Great pho

Amazing pho place! The broth was clean and delicious. I love their Ca Phe Sua Da (Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Condensed) it brought me back to says in Vietnam. This place is CASH ONLY but there s a RBC nearby the plaza so you could easily walk to get some cash like I did. The washrooms were old but clean. The place is also big and spacious, and I can only imagine it filled with families on a Sunday afternoon. Servers were friendly! Everything here was great. Highly recommend.

This franchise has the best Pho (beef noodle soup) in my opinion. The Vietnamese spring rolls are amazing too. The price is very cheap as well. The service is very fast and good as the servers are very friendly. Good location inside Markham and Lawrence plaza.

Really underrated. The food here is authentic and prices are super reasonable. I accidentally ordered the wrong dish and the staff were incredibly kind and understanding. They were also very accommodating during my last visit, as I was dealing with a severe injury that required a bit of extra space. Food was very flavorful. Restaurant was clean. Nothing overly fancy. A great place to stop in for lunch.

Love their menu, more selection.

Authentic Vietnamese food. The broth for the pho is some of the best around. Prices are also pretty good (around $12 for large pho). I tried the fried shrimp rolls this time and it was really good.

Have gone to this place multiple times, food is good and priced reasonably. Staff on the other hand have been rude on multiple occasions. After one of my meals I went to tip the lady after paying and she got mad about only leaving a few coins behind. She made me take back my money and said she didn t want change I thought the amount left behind was reasonable seeing as it was under 30$ for my meal with my friend.

Ive been to this restaurant a few times now and have always enjoyed the food. However, on my most recent visit, I had a less-than-ideal experience with one of the servers. I forgot to specify what size pho I wanted, which seemed to upset her. She slammed the tables looking for a pen to change it. Unfortunately, the situation didnt improve when it came time to pay. She asked us where the tip was. The server seemed upset that we hadnt tipped, even though her behavior had been rude and unprofessional. Another time I came with my Muslim friend who only eats halal meat. She explicitly asked for a vegetarian option and yet when her food arrived there was pork in the spring roll. She had asked them to make sure, wrote it down on the paper and they still gave her meat. Do better!

After we finished eating is when they served us drinks and only because we asked for it. The waitresses are clueless n we were the only customers in the restaurant

I ve been going to this place for years. The food is tasty and good price. But after my experience yesterday I will not be coming back. The staff is very rude and unpleasant. They took a very long time to take our order and they were just standing around talking to each other. They got annoyed when I asked them to bring me a fork, chill sauce, and soy sauce (as they don t have it on the table) They never came up to out table to ask how was the food and if we needed anything. When I paid and got my change back, (I was looking to see how much tip to leave) right away the lady cashing me out said rudely No tip? Next time you come here don t expect us to bring you the stuff you want extremely unprofessional and such an unpleasant experience. Will not be returning.

Best pho in the neighborhood

My family and I are regulars to this place. But after experiencing POOR customer service from an UNPROFESSIONAL and DISRESPECTFUL server, we will no longer be coming back. When we went to go pay for our food, the server said WHY IS IT THAT EVERYTIME YOU GUYS COME HERE YOU TIP THE SAME AMOUNT WHEN WE GET YOU A LOT OF THINGS? She then proceeded to give back the tip we had given SINCE IT WASNT ENOUGH for her. Also, the servers did not want to get us tea since IT WAS TOO MUCH CUPS for them to clean. I also noticed that the servers purposely did not give my dad his chili and only gave a little bit of peanuts when I requested some. Since they knew who were regulars who would tip less than they want, so they gave us VERY PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE SERVICE. You just lost a loyal customer who comes there and pays atleast 80$ since youre complaining about not getting the appropriate tip (WAKE UP)

I m pho dau bo s #1 customer. I ve been going there since the birth of the restaurant.

We went there for dinner. We were very hungry and thirsty after spending half the day at the mechanic. When we got there, one of the servers brought us hot tea, placing it in a not-so-gentle way on our table. We asked her for a glass of water instead, she said okay. After maybe about 10mins, we kindly reminded her of the water thinking she forgot about it, she looked at us, and said rudely Okay! Cant you see we are busy? And turned her back on us. She brought us water, and again, placed it on our table in a very rude manner. Food was good, but service is not. When I paid, I gave them the exact cash coz with the service we got, who would want to leave a tip? The cashier and the server called my attention, pointing at the bill, and said loudly and rudely Tip is not included in the total. I was confused, I didnt know tips are mandatory here. We werent satisfied with the service. I mean I dont mind at all giving tips, I always do, but I believe customers do not deserve to be treated like the way we were treated in this restaurant. We are not coming back here. Ever.

I totally agree with a lot of reviewers of this restaurant. I ve been in this location a lot of times before but my last experience coming here is very unpleasant. The servers especially the woman in glasses , working in cash register is very rude and already giving us bad attitude since the time we arrived.She looks like she doesn t want to work and giving people rude remarks. Stop rudely with customers if you don t want to get the job. I dont know if the owner knows about his employees rude and throwing the cup of water on the table for the customer, what does the owner think? I come to get food and pay money not come to eat food free, so please be polite and respectful. The owner can watch the camera(Aug 31 16:00-16-30) so you will think what is that service. After I finished the food I still tried waiting My wife wanted to order something for take out but your employee came to throw the bill again in front of me when I just finished my food. I hope you guys will be watching your employees and teaching them how to provide good service for a restaurant.

The 2 waitresses were so rude to us. They were not happy that we had brought our 2 year old baby. They said that the table was messy. We were naturally so upset. And told us not to come back anymore. Worse customer service EVER! The waitress definitely tells the chef to put laxatives in my pho because I always get instant stomach pains and instant diarrhea, always! Dined here with some friends. Service was really bad, we were ignored when we got in and were just pointed to a table even though it wasn t busy. Food was not that bad. When it was time to pay, we paid just a little over the total because of the service we got. And much to our shock, the old lady with red hair went to our table and brought back our change, rudely saying take it back, that s not even a tip . I can t believe they treat paying customers like this. We will not be coming back.

BEST PHO IN SCARBOROUGH!!!!

They often forget to include items in parcels and put very little protein content in their dishes. The chicken and seafood dishes we ordered had very little chicken or seafood. Only accept cash but dont offer any discounts to customers, like most other cash restaurants do. Unethical and dissatisfactory experience overall.

Super fresh and delicious, exactly what you re hoping for in a classic Vietnamese restaurant, and even with a few extra dishes from Thai cuisine too. Would gladly return.

Average Vietnamese food and service that speaks Chinese out loud to others when you try to order. Refused card payments to avoid fees but gets angry when you won t leave a tip despite their underwhelming food and service. The lady owner even got into my face and tried to confront us by demanding no tips? . To nail this all in the coffin, she threatened us by saying she will remember our faces . Whether this is a threat to tampering with our food in the future or not is anyones guess, but I m not exactly keen on returning to an establishment that treats their customers like this. Visit if you would like average Vietnamese cuisine and especially if you love getting threatened by its owners.

I have eaten here twice and both times were great. The pho broth is very flavourful and in my opinion is better than most places in the GTA. My favourite thing here are the appetizers. We had the shrimp rolls, fried spring rolls, fresh spring rolls and the calamari. All the appetizers were great but the shrimp rolls are a must order, super crispy and great flavour. Definitely will be coming back, a really great option for viet food in Scarborough.

Great Vietnamese food and fast service

This is my 2nd time here, its around 11am my toddler was singing and the server told my son to be quiet...not tobbe noisy and stop singing.... my son is 3 yra old singing his rhyme and its not even busy... i guess she doesnt like kids...

Any pho connoisseur can tell they use MSG in their soup, you usually get really thristy after drinking the soup. With authentic beef noodle soup, you wont get as thirsty. There is a tad of MSG in every bowl, but here it is noticeable. They also served one of my dine-in orders with less soup than usual, upon asking for more soup, they tried to charge me more. As a cash only place you are already avoiding taxes, you dont need that extra $2, but you do need the goodwill and customer loyalty. Is it worth losing a family as a customer over $2 worth of soup?

Tried the spicy pho. Was pretty disappointing, the broth was pretty watery and it wasnt very spicy at all. Lacking the usual quantity of meat. Would prefer a smaller portion and better ratio of noodles to meat.

Very rude employees of this store. They make tip as a profit. I supposed to give my tip in our table. But treated us so badly, they just jump to conclusion that we are just leaving like that. After we spent our money $61 to buy their food and still they Don t appreciate . They made us feel so bad. The manager of this store should teach a lesson of this employees. This restaurant belongs to a chain that claims to be the most famous Vietnamese Noodle Soup in town. It looks to be so, although I personally did not taste anything too distinctive about its menu options. The interior looks somewhat stock suggesting the prices would be generally affordable. It would be a good location for regular dining if only it accepted card or e-transfer payments.

This is a no fuss, cash only Vietnamese corner spot serving delicious authentic Vietnamese. If you care more about flavour than flare - this place is for you. This location out of the many in the area is one of my personal favourites. They have the option for fresh noodles if you prefer. Big portions, if that s important for you. And friendly staff Pictured is Rare Beef Pho and the delicious pork and shrimp spring rolls I already devoured. 3 stars because the quality and consistency has gone down post COVID

Never had Vietnamese cuisine and a friend of mine brought me here for brunch. I had the chicken and fried egg with fried rice and beef noodle spring roll (steamed). They were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely hot quality food and staff

If you re looking for a hearty and full flavour pho, this is the place to go. One of my favourite pho s in the GTA, and their deep fried spring rolls and lime juice is so good too!!! Pros: short wait times, each bowl comes out hot and fresh, and proportion of meat to noodle is perfect. Don t really have cons, I ve been coming here at least once a month with my partner for the last several months. They re not usually busy but they re consistent and so friendly. Thanks Pho Dau Bo!!!

The food was ready very quickly! The Pad Thai noodles were too oily but tasted great The restaurant is cash only and we werent at all informed about that until the end. Thankfully we keep emergency cash, and so used that to pay. In this day and age, one can safely expect that a restaurant would at least inform us beforehand, that they only take cash.

Please dont come here!! Service is really bad, came here for dinner, place is not full, ordered for House Special Pho and spring rolls (the waitress was the one who wrote my order), the only thing came to my table was the cold spring rolls and when i asked for my pho after 25 mins of waiting, they did not made it.. really bad service, overpriced and small portions..

Worst! Cash only no cards!
