2501 Victoria Park Ave, Scarborough, ON M1T 1A1, Canada
Cozy Irish pub with imported & local brews on tap plus a menu of traditional eats & wings.
Came in for the first time tonight as we recently moved to the area. Nikki (our server/bartender) was super nice and helpful. She took the time to ask our names, welcome us to the area and explain the weekly specials. Feels like a good place to frequent. Could be our new go to for a cold pint and wing special. 🍻
Chill little pub that we like pop into when visiting friends in Scarborough. Friendly staff, good drinks. Nice place for hanging out since it’s not to crazy and they play good music but not so loud that you have to raise your voice to have a conversation.
My wife and I first came here from the states in 2002 for our honeymoon and again in 2007 for vacation. Love this place and the people of Toronto. We are glad to hear that they are still open as we plan to visit T.O again in October. The place was owned by a gentleman named Steve at the time who went out of his way to make two newcomers feel welcome in his country, I have never forgot his kindness. Can't wait to have a cold beer and some fish and chips.
Seemed like a cool neighborhood bar to check out so we went on a Saturday night and were greeted upon entry by the bartender. She told us the only seating she had was up towards the front but didn’t offer or ask if we wanted to sit at the bar that had plenty of open seats, which is where we normally sit when we go out. We sat at a table instead like she told us and ordered some drinks from the bar. The server didn’t really know what kind of wines they had but left and came back with a written list. We then ordered a chicken Caesar salad and the grilled cheese. Our food came out pretty quick but the taste was just okay. Nothing special. The grilled cheese kind of reminded me of the grilled cheese they would make in our cafeteria in elementary school. Gave that nostalgic feeling but not what I expect when ordering from a restaurant. I’d say this place is good for some drinks with snacks and to watch the game!
This was my first time visiting this cozy pub. Monday to Thursday, they have half-priced appetizers from 4 to 6 pm. I went on a Thursday, the service was fantastic and the food was amazing and quick. I ordered 1 lb of wings, the fries in a basket (which are actually potato wedges), and onion rings. Portions were great. I tried honey sizzle wings (moreso on the spicy side with a tint of sweet.) which were very flavourful! Definitely my go-to flavor when I go back next time. The wings are were large, juicy, & crispy. The staff is friendly and the owner is very nice!
Some of the best wings in the city. Honey Garlic are my favourite along with the Cajun or Salt n Pepper Dry style for a change. Great little local spot so get out there and support your local small businesses through these times.
Delicious pub food plus great atmosphere. The Thai seafood fried rice was delicious! Thanks for a great experience. We would have taken more pictures but the food got eaten too fast!
King Georges Arms is a small casual cozy pub. Good for small groups, or hanging out with a bud. Always have the day's special written with chalk on a blackboard. In my opinion their best menu item is half-price wings on Mondays from 4-11pm. Their next best special, with the purchase of a drink, is half-price appetizers (fyi, wings is an appetizer!) on Monday-Thursday between 4-6pm. The wings' jester size is around $10 and King size is around $20. This pub has a good beer selection despite its small size. Staff is friendly and sweet. Pub has between 3 to 5 TV screens to watch sports. Leafs and hockey games usually play on all screens Saturday nights, unless someone asks to play a basketball game. Photos on the wall seem to be from 1970's or 80's or 90's from England... given the red double-decker buses.
Had stomach issues after eating wings here and was charged for an extra beer.
10:45pm and the bartender tells me that she saw how I walked in and couldnt serve me.... I havent even had ONE BEER. Not one.... To misread a patron that bad when you have clearly been in the industry a long time (older lady) is inexcusable. I worked all day, walked for a burrito with a banged up knee, try to get a beer while waiting for my food and this is what happens? I am appalled. I have never written a Google review in my life but this compelled me to at least voice my embarrassment for this establishment and hold them accountable. That lady tried to ruin a loving, empathetic, hardworking mans day and I refuse to allow her to have that power. As old as she was, I still cant fathom that someone who has worked in the industry as long as she probably has could misread and misjudge a person to that level. Sadly this is the norm in our city now. I hope whatever is bothering that lady, that she finds her peace
We were recommended the steak and kidney pie but there was no pie. The top of this pie was a piece of pita on a porcelain bowl covering what is a bland kidney soup. The frozen veggies were the best part since they were actually seasoned.
I always have a great time when I visit this place. My kids love the wings and the service is amazing. Highly recommend this place.
Best wings! Consistently good food and service...been coming here since 2001
Service and atmosphere was great, had the steak and kidney pie which was very light on the steak and kidney and very heavy on the gravy. Vegetables were cool in spots suggesting they may have spent not enough time in the microwave.
A google search brought my family to King Georges Arms. Its definitely a local pub that many regulars attend. We were warmly greeted and accommodated as we needed a large table. The food was excellent pub fare. Highly reccomend the wings, nachos, Philly Cheese Steak, and the fish and Chips. My very picky pre teen loved the corned beef sandwich with fries. Prices were very reasonable. Kid-friendliness: Although a pub they allowed my children to be children and even bounced a balloon around to keep everyone entertained. No kids menu but prices were good thay it wasnt really necessary.
Ive been going to King Georges for around 15 years now .. such a warm friendly place where everyone gets treated like family. Great food , amazing service and a all around top notch establishment
Best wings in town, great service. Every time. After many years, still the best pub in Toronto.
Unbelievable experience.. The bartender I believe her name was Nikki unbelievable service the food was incredible... I recommend everybody to try the wings at king Georgias arms... Thank you very Very much Nikki for your hospitality... I cant wait to come back and enjoy the food... Thank you.. Go king George
Nice place, food and service. stop buy once and a while when in the area.
The worst experience possible Breads smelled like wet fabric Old and non usable potato We left the the food untouched
Always great service staffs are very friendly
Nice place for a drink with some friends after work. Friendly service. Wings were delicious & I liked the craft ipa they had on tap.
quaint, small and cozy IE pub in sullivan. laid back atmosphere, kind service, usual pub fare, tap beer, very clean wc, low-key music, non-invasive screens, no patio. high Q/P
Good place for friends time
A very nice, small, local pub.
First time here had the wings and some poppers, no complaints! I enjoyed it all service was great, our waitress Terry was pleasant, it was a nice experience for my first time.
Don t get me wrong - great place, wonderful beer, atmosphere and service, but food was an obvious weak point: canned soup, probably also canned sheppard s pie. Not sure if they have kitchen, that might be the thing.. anyways, serves its purpose, it s a pub, and a nice one!
The wings are delicious
Fantastic food & good size portions, great service at a reasonable price
I enjoy dining at King George with friends. The staff is friendly, the food is tasty, the location is perfect and they also have discounted appetizers before 6 pm. Parking: Easy to find parking in front of the restaurant.
Nice local pub. Reasonable prices and good food.
Best Wings and Guinness.
Good local pub. Friendly staff and locals. Half price appetizers 4-6 is a great deal. Food is good for pubfood. Prices are reasonable in todays world.
Best wings around get the honey sizzle
Had the beef dip. Delicious with flavourful meat that was not dry and the dip was a tasty thin gravy and not just cutting juices like Ive had at other places. Came with large, thick cut fries. Ill definitely be back again.
Smaller space than I really remember, but just as friendly. Good food.
good
Love this bar. Friendly servers end customers. Food is great.
used to be good prior to covid-now hardly any beers available to customers
Meh.
Cool little spot for drinks and amazing food, the wings are my go to, and the owner is amazing, definitely recommend
Great people
Remember this place since 1995 when I visited Canada for business trips and stayed at the Travelogue hotel (now its Radisson). Fresh food, warm atmosphere, cold beer. I wish you all the best in your business.
Food was a decent price so I thought not as the menu listed . I was really looking forward to a beef deep so I ordered 2 for me and my husband 40 dollars got us a wet pretty much hamburger bun with bland beef and the sauce they call jus was just regular beef gravy for French frys . It was not what I expected We ended up adding seasoning to the gravy and wedges and picking the meat off the bread only because we were so hungry. I hear the wings are good maybe I just picked the wrong thing.
The best place in Toronto for wings. Great servers and warm environment.
Terrible food. Got the wings and fries, and the potatoes were large and raw, not cooked enough. Went because I heard their wings were good. These wings were nasty. Dry, almost felt like they were cooked, and then reheated again. Never going back
Amazing wings. Go on Mondays!! Half priced wings all day. Dine in only
A nice cozy place for a quick drink and a chat with a good friend. I mean, that s what I did here! Very kind staff. Pop in if you re in the neighbourhood =)
Nice pub decent food
The half price Tuesday wings here are to die for
Awesome little spot
Excellent wings, nice gravy, great tap selection...
Loved it
Asked if the chicken fingers were home made, the waitress said yes. Got them and they were processed. No french fries, they serve large potatoe wedges. Not sure how they had 4.5 star rating. First and last time for this place.
Nice enough
Have been going to King Georges Arms since they have opened and have never had any bad experiences at the Pub. Now, I live in Niagara Falls, Ontario and visit the Pub everytime I come home for a visit.
Nice Pub feel. Food and service was great.
Wings and wedges are great. Service is also awesome.
Grilled chicken cesaer is outstanding. Very well made wth so much good chicken bits
Solid pub food, pub is small, classic and quaint. Decent variety for drinks. Staff are easy going and fun! Televise sports as well. Not many like this in Scarborough.
Cozy place good food and fresh beer!
Simple, no frills pub experience. You get what you see. Limited but acceptable beer on tap, featuring the usual commercial suspects. Simple pub grub, averaging from acceptable to quite good, and rarely bad. On the small side, so big groups (6 plus) may want to stay clear.
A chance visit turned into a near weekly-tradition with my buddies. This cozy pub on Victoria Park is a hidden gem, unexpectedly situated in a nondescript plaza. The service is joyful and genuine. The owner clearly takes great pride in her establishment. The KGA has character and feels like part of the community, unlike many cookie-cutter pubs and sports bars in the area. Sure, it would be nice if the kitchen didnt close at 10 pm, and hipsters wont be wowed by the modest selection of crafts beers. But those are the only drawback of this charming watering hole.
Cozy place
This little pub is a pretty cozy place. Friendly service and the location is pretty good, too. We ordered calamari, veal on a bun and the ultimate steak sandwich. Both the sandwiches were amazing... The steak was nice and juicy, the veal was crispy and tasty! However, the batter of the calamari was a little thick and the fresh cut fries were a little dry!
Great wings
Was ok. Serving time seemed long. Loud.
Best pub in Toronto or maybe anywhere! I love the whole menu and the beer is always the correct temperature. Best service too! Cant go wrong here.
Terrific local pub. I wish I lived I lived closer. You get the sense that this place is a genuine local bar for a lot of people. Patrons seemed like most of them knew each other. The beer selection is typical. (That s a positive.) I ordered some fries and they were brilliant - seemed home made.
Brunch was ok and service was great! Nice waitresses on a Sunday.
Nice neighbourhood pub friendly staff best chicken wings
A little slice of the UK in Toronto. Quaint and good food.
I got wings with the bbq jerk sauce with their potatoe wedges and it was fantastic. Will come back again.
My favorite area pub
Great pub make sure that you stop in for one
Great potatoes wedges and cold beer. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cozy.
The food is mediocre and its a small place man environment. Some of the bar keepers are focused on the men that will tip them better.
Good location
Great neighborhood pub
Great staff. Very attentive. Great customers.
Great atmosphere, friendly people and excellent cold beer!
very good wings
Good food, nice atmosphere
Great service, waitress was like family. Food was great as well.
Nice place for beer and food near Consumers Road. Good service, they made sure I am having a good time. Thanks guys
We live there. Make sure you harass...lovingly...your server!!!
Great little English pub in Toronto
Its a place which i can classify as to be a daily pint place which you go to with your friends on daily basis. The tap selection is great food is amazing. The thing that i found was even more astonishing was that how clean the bathrooms are. I mean honestly l have not seen such clean bathrooms in all the restaurants i have visited so far.
Nice small bar. Food is really good here especially the Appetizers. The sandwiches are always fresh and up to the mark. Nicole and Eleni kept the place very clean during my visit. Id recommend this place.
Great atmosphere, cozy delicious food
Good pints, good grub, good people
Amazing food great staff
Only been here for lunch a few times but never disappointed. Staff is friendly and attentive, food is good and reasonably priced. It retains the English pub atmosphere.
Great pub for wings and a pint
Friendly people.
Excellent service and great value for the price. Fries were excellant - fresh cut almost like wedges
Great pub. I ve been here three times and it s been good. It s a small little place but cozy.
Beautiful cozy atmosphere. Service was exceptional as was the food.
Great atmosphere, cold, crisp beer. Great specials and very friendly staff!
A small pub thats big on good food and great service!
Not good for big group
Great small pub. Very friendly staff and great selection of spirits, beers and wines.
We were the only table on Saturday night. Atmosphere: zero
A nice little pub with great food and the best wings in town.
Wings are amazing!!! Service too
Homophobic and cruel waitstaff. Simply wanted a quiet spot for a bite/drink, and ended up having the waitstaff engage another table in openly hateful, cruel, insulting and homophobic banter aimed at my gorgeously androgynous partner. Brought her to quiet tears in the bathroom before she quickly paid and left to escape that heartless energy. Who treats people like that? Who hires people who treat people like that?
Great food. Great service. What else do you want?! The wings are ridiculously delicious and Ive never had anything on the menu thats not just great!
As for the Local Pub this is the perfect one. The staff are always welcoming and very friendly and the food is outstanding no matter what you order on the menu. It is a very cozy place to meet for a bite to eat and drinks. Highly recommend this place if you have never been. If anything, there is limited seating but have never waited to be seatec
Best wings in the city
Amazing time here. Down home feeling and amazing staff. Been here many times, never disappointed. Great food and drinks. Well worth the visit. Easy to get to and good prices overall. I will be going back for sure.
Great wings!!!
Went to this pub for the first time the other day and can honestly say it fits right into one of my greatest dining experiences. There was a great selection of drinks along with quick service, great staff and exceptional food - all for an affordable price. Although I dont live near this pub it was well worth the visit and I definitely plan to visit again in the near future.
This is a great place to go grate staff and grate food try you will go back
Good
Small family atmosphere pub
I ordered food from Door Dash so the rating is for food only not the dining experience . Hot Chicken Wings were not that spicy but were delicious, succulent and just so good . Onion Rings and Calamari were so crispy and tasty.Dips were great plus the carrots and celery were so fresh and crispy . Sweet Potato Fries were dead and the non crispy as hell like wet cloth.I was shocked to see that .It may have been doordashs fault. The restaurant is really close to my home(Don Mills) but the dasher went to Brimley road to deliver another food and made bad excuses (said the app told him not to deliver). In the process Sweet Potato fries lost the crisp and tasted below average or i would have given it 5 stars.
The experience was awful , with terrible service. For starters our entire order was wrong . Menu has nothing to choose from ! Asked for Cajun dip for my sweet potato fries and received a dish full of powder (no lie) . My daughters meal was wrong and had to send it back twice . I would never come back here , nor recommend it.
Came here for lunch and found anything hard to criticise. The service was beyond excellent ( we were served by an amazing waitress named Vicki who was both promt and friendly). The food was delicious (we both had the buffalo chicken wrap) and the homey atmosphere was very inviting. I will definitely be coming back here in the future.
We settled in for an exploratory lunch on a quiet day. Stepping in, I allowed my eyes to adjust to the cozy, dim British pub in the middle of the Toronto urban sprawl. The furniture was brass, green and dark wood. The seats were comfortable and the layout friendly. We were greeted by friendly staff and asked to seat ourselves. We were met by viki, a quick, friendly waitress who took our orders and made pleasant conversation about the food. Before even testing the food, I was impressed. I tried their Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Sweet Potato Fries and it was phenomenal. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and savoury. The Buffalo Wrap was an unexpected delight, flavors were intense and my drink was at hand to cool my mouth, but all of those flavors were excellent and the chicken was crunchy and perfect. 5/5 recommended highly.
New Old World Pub in Neighborhood! Opened just one month ago. Pub and sport bar in one. Good layout with isolated room for special occasions in the middle... Basically therere three areas - pub , VIP and dining areas. Lots of room for a bigger than a small party. Makes it different from other pubs. Food is typical pub food. Dart boards. Live music on Fridays. Very nice personal. Mark has great blue eyes. Pint of any beer on tap $5.00 before 6:00 every day!.. Fast and friendly service. Wish you were here place. Hurry up, Ladies and Gentlemen! That is about King Georges Arms Pub in Brantford. Sorry.
Grate place to go
Very small but friendly Pub.
Service was outstanding and the atmosphere was great
Nice little bar. Much more welcoming than the hotel I was staying in. Good choice of beers. Small cosy atmosphere with locals
Great food, cozy place to enjoy a few pints!
Best wings.
Double baked wings were huge and delicious! Staff was very friendly and drinks were good
Nice little pub.
I became a regular within a year. Its that good. The people here are genuine and sweet, except for that one server. ;)
Really cool spot to chill with friends.
Best wings in the t dot according to South American icon Dave Nyri. Seriously, great food, amazing staff. Great pub!!
Great pub food and excellent service. Very good Reuben sandwich.
Nice bar. Good food, and good Guinness the two pints that we had. Friendly staff and locals with a bit of banter between them which is unusual in my experience so far in Toronto.
Decent place, great food and quick friendly service. Loads of beers on tap.
Do not trust this company. They turned off the heat to replace part and part never arrived. I have small kids with no heat overnight. Called them 10 times and still no heat. Very rude customer service.
Great neighbourhood pub. Love the fish and chips.
Great traditional pub.
Mon-Thu half price wings between 4-6. Awesome, consistent wings and great beer selection on tap.
My first time visiting this cozy pub, and I was an immediate fan! Service was fantastic and the food was amazing and quick. The wings were out of this world (try the honey sizzle).
Dont let the run down setting fool you. The food is fantastic, and the staff are wonderful. Its been nine years since I left England, and this is the best pub lunch Ive had in all that time. Absolutely recommended.
Feels like your local watering hole full of older locals. Little small here but if youre looking for food and booze, they got you covered.
Mediocre in every way.
Best wings in the city. Simple sauces on meaty wings. Its all you need.
Great food and great staff
Cozy little neighbourhood pub. Lots of regulars drop in on a Friday evening. On tap, they have a handful of imported and craft options.
