Picked up dinner from Andhra Bhavan yesterday. Chilly Cauliflower(best I ever had) , Paneer Biryani, Navratan korma, Cashew Capsicum and Chicken (Shahi Murg). Food is so fresh & flavorful. Spice was adjusted to match our request. Portion size was enough to last us 3 meals may be. I found it very cost effective and home cooked like. No excess oil or creams added. Will certainly go back again. Infact planning a friends get together here as the place is spacious. Vegetarian options: Plenty vegetarian options. Biryanis, Curries, Appetizers and desserts. Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu.

They started serving their dosa so decided to try it. I ordered the mysore masala dosa and paneer one. The paneer one was really good and crisp however the mysore dosa was cold. I didnt enjoy that one but not a bad place to try if we can give them a headsup to get it hot.

I ordered two chicken appetizers and both smelled and tasted worse(felt old/aged) and mutton Biryani was ok not as mentioned in the reviews but I like the spicy level.

We ordered two veg appetizers. Gobi 65 has no salt and no flavor in veg manchuria. When we asked about it, they were explaining all about how it is made ,what is a starter and that there will be no flavour. But they gave modified one after all the explanation by them. We quite didn t like the customer service.

We had great food and the spice levels are on point they have perfectly balanced tastes of Gongura biryani and food arrived with 5-10 mins a must visit place.

Andhra Bhavan impressed me with delicious dishes like Palnadu Mutton Curry, Gongura Biryani, Pulka, Chicken Manchuria, and Gajar ka Halwa all flavorful and well-prepared. The service was exceptional attentive and respectful, adding to the great experience. Highly recommended for authentic Andhra flavors and warm hospitality.

Recommend chicken fry and chicken ghee roast pulav. Dosa is top quality with peanut coconut chutney.Not to miss the amazing loose prawns and pachi Mirchi chicken.

I have tried food here it was extremely delicious. This is my fav food in canada. I actually live outside toronto and whenever my siblings visit me, I will ask them to get me biryanis and pulaos from here. Last time when my cousin got few biryanis and pulaos taste was awesome but for the next day they got spoiled. He got extra quantity because in our winnipeg we dont get much Andhra food. I don t know whether they were spoiled because of travelling for 6 long hours or some other reason but the food tastes heaven here.

Really quite and spacious restaurant, best for family dining. Pineapple Rava Kesari was delicious freshly made. Starter: Chilli Chicken was spicy, tender, perfectly cooked. Main course: Rayalaseema Chicken Pulav-Bone is really good (best for Spicy lovers) and Chicken Fry Piece Biryani is perfectly cooked and tasty. The best food I had in a restaurant in my 3.5 years stay in Canada.

The most underrated gem of a restaurant best for family dining because it is a quiet and spacious place with tasty food. The tastiest food I ve had in my 3.5 years in Canada. Chilli chicken is cooked to perfection with spice level tailored to your expectation. Rayalaseema Chicken Pulav is really spicy in a good way must try for spicy food lovers and Chicken Fry Piece Biryani is also perfectly cooked. Try Pineapple Rava Kesari because it is freshly cooked and kids loved it. I highly recommend this place..!

Amazing food and great customer Service. We had Pachimirchi chicken, chicken 65 and chilli chicken for appetisers. And for main course we ordered Chicken fry pc pulav and Gongura chicken pulav both were super delicious but the winner for me personally was Rayalseema Mutton Pulav which i tried for the first time and it was super delicious and succulent. I would like to mention Chandana who served us. She is the most welcoming and all recommendations were from her. A must try place !!!

Highly recommend this hidden gem if you are looking for an Authentic South Indian food! Good thing with this restaurant is they don t use MSG, No colours which is very safe for even pregnant women. We regularly order food from here and the best part is their consistency, it s always the same flavour and taste. Tried lots of different restaurants where all the curries tastes very similar but these guys have something very different don t know what. I had a very good experience here. Food varieties are good and the taste is great. Mutton ghee roast pulav is my favorite. Sreeja was very cordial and helpful in guiding and suggesting us the food items based on our preferences and requirements. Overall I would give a big for this restaurant

The pulavs (chicken ghee roast, mutton fry, paneer) are all delicious and tastes like homemade food. The paneer pulavs is very juicy too which is generally rare to find.

Very good Indian restaurant, Authentic Andhra style foods are available here. We can just say it is authentic by the mirchi ka salan here. All the three items we had fish pakoda was like home made, the roast biryani got that authentic flavour, chicken fry is good. Overall very good. Must visit and order place. Dhanashree was very kind and helped us in good food.

Good Day, Yesterday evening around 10 pm I order the dinner(paneer masala, vegetarian pulao and Dal makahani) for my family. It was the worst experience. The meal had exceesive oil and was tasteless. Entire family was shocked to see all the three items with heavy oil. Will not recommend this place any one in Canada. Sorry.

Visited this wonderful restaurant for a Sunday lunch. Absolutely peaceful ambient atmosphere and the service was fantastic. Loved the spicy food . If you are a big fan of spicy food , please try out here - an authentic andhra spicy food. I could see some Chinese people trying tandoori leg pieces and enjoying the aroma . We ordered Spicy boneless chicken and Rayalseema Kodi Biryani - both were delicious !!! A humble suggestion would be to add some beverages such as Lassi/ Mango Lassi like other restaurants do. We bought a thumbs up and Sprite can . They only had the cold drinks option. But overall , we thoroughly enjoyed the food. I heard from my friends that they have launched new and only a few months old . However , I see that their food is well above than many established restaurants for Indian Cuisine. The serving people were always humble and friendly. Kudos to their customer service :-)

We ordered take-out for a family lunch to celebrate my daughter s 50th birthday. The food was delicious and made with quality ingredients. All our guests enjoyed the food. The crowd favourites were the whole eggplant curry and the chicken biryani. The vegetarians in the gathering appreciated the Indian cheese dish - methi malai paneer! We ordered a bunch of dishes for a family birthday party today and everyone enjoyed food! This is a tough crowd of South Indian foodies, so we were thrilled when everyone said they enjoyed it. We had the Methi Malai Paneer, the Navratan Korma, Gutti Vankai Pulav and the Ghee Roast Chicken Biryani. The food was fresh, the flavours were really balanced and we all agreed that we couldn t stop eating, everything was so delicious.

So updating the review. <Actual Review> We have tried few times and it is somewhat close to good, but today (JUL 2024) we ordered tandoori chicken full and it is bad. Will think twice before I try. I discovered Andhra Bhavan on Uber Eats and ordered twice. Both the times, I found the food very flavourful. Today is my fathers birthday, and I decided to order some unique offerings from Andhra Bhavan. This time around, I skipped Uber Eats and showed up in person, and I am glad I did! I got to meet the chef/owner Ravindra and the other chef Prithvi. They both listened attentively to my requests and put together a wonderful assortment of appetizers, biryanis and curries. My father and my entire family enjoyed each and every dish. The portions were large enough that we have some leftovers for tomorrow. The most favourite dish was Mulakkada Mutton Curry. However, the 3 biryanis were also a major hit - Mutton Keema, Shrimp (Royyalu) and Kaju/Paneer. The appetizers were OG, especially the Cut Mirchi and Onion Pakoda. Finally, the Pulkas were a sweet surprise ... move over naan, we have a healthier and lighter option!! Our very sincere thanks to the chefs, Ravindra and Prithvi, for making my fathers birthday dinner very special and memorable.

It was my first time at this relatively new addition to the neighbourhood. It has taken over half of a former Chinese restaurant, so it was barely noticeable. Current construction on the north entrance to the small strip mall also makes the place unassuming. The restaurant was empty when I walked in. Moments later, a gentleman greeted me. I asked for some recommendations based on my taste palate. The gentleman was patient and asked a few discerning questions before giving me his opinion. I ended up getting three curries (chickpeas, chicken, and mutton). They were great! For comparisons sake, Silver Spoon has been my go-to place, and this is better. Vegetarian options: The chickpea curry was fantastic! Parking: Huntingwood (north of strip mall) is currently under construction, which blocks traffic on one side. Enter the plaza via Birchmount.

The Chicken 65 Biryani was exceptionally delicious, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The fried Gobi was well-prepared, crispy, and seasoned to perfection. The butter naan was incredibly soft and paired beautifully with the dishes. The service was outstanding, particularly thanks to Sreeja. She was well-mannered, sweet, and polite, ensuring that our dining experience was pleasant from start to finish. Additionally, there were two other staff members who assisted with the service, making it a well-coordinated and efficient team effort. Given their excellent performance, they definitely deserve a raise or a bonus. I look forward to visiting more often and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a great dining experience.

Yet another gem in the city of Scarborough. We just had 3 items Konaseema chicken pulav, Mushroom Briyani and chilli panner. All the 3 were delicious and tasted great. The spice and flavor were truly authentic. Both the veg and non veg items were good and the highlight was the chilli panne it s been ages since we have had such a nice chilli panner. The panner was soft even after like 2 to 3 hours after when we picked it up. Also the portion size is good for the money we spent. Will surely visit again in future to try their other menu items. They also have a large dining space to accommodate large groups as well.

Absolute brilliance the best of all indian restaurants probably maintaining that Indian essence and taste, pachimirchi chicken turned out very good and must try item, prices are affordable as well. Will be coming back again

No customer service at all, i received better customer service in smaller restaurants than this one. Too hyped by the reviews, can give it a try once but i personally may not go back. Dietary restrictions: They don t have low sodium options. The only one I was offered was indoor-Chinese option of noodles and fried rice. Noodles were less salty but rice was close to regular salt content.

We dined there a couple Sundays ago and the food was so good. We really liked the complimentary soup they gave at the beginning of the meal (similar to a tom yum soup but tastier!). The butter chicken had so much depth of flavour and there was a type of paneer we had (forgot the name, sorry!) but she said it was a specialty from their region. Also really loved their garlic naan (perfect combo of crispy outside and soft inside). We will definitely be back to try new things.

We have ordered Kaju paneer pulav, Mirchi bajji,gutti vankay curry for a small party at our home and every item is extraordinary.I should thank the chef who prepared Gutti vankay curry as its been years since I tasted such a delicious curry.the quantities were so generous and we didnt waste any amount of food.

Ive been to this restaurant 4 times and have done an uber eats order once too! Love the taste. One day I was craving for baby corn manchurian (which is a rare find) and found this place. I was completely satisfied. I also loved their paneer manchurian and pulavs. If anyone is looking for a non spicy biriyani, their pulavs will do the justice. Btw, they delighted my with some complimentary tomato rasam that we loved. Absolutely love this place. Will definitely visit again. If only they could revise their pricing and bring it to an affordable range, Id love it.

As an experienced chef, Mr Eswar excellently curated the menu and food. I tried Chicken Manchuria and Mutton Pulao. Its the best mutton quality I found to date in Canada. Went for the first time, ordered Chicken Manchuria. Food is really great but disappointed with the portion size. Its filled half in a 16 Oz box. In other places, youd get a fully filled 24oz box for less than $16

I live nearby and visited this place a couple of times. I ate their biryanis, Pulavs and starters. Firstly, the food taste and quality is very impressive. I was surprised that the pulavs are as it is like typical aromatic Andhra style. Their quantities are good enough and satisfactory. Since they started recently, they need get better at managing wait times in the weekend rush. Besides that I was never disappointed with the food. Please continue the quality and taste. Soon you guys will be one of best in Scarborough surpassing some overrated surface level Indian restaurants.

Food was tasty and spicy. Would have preferred more meat in my meal. It was strange to see water served in open water bottles. Unknown if a previous customer drank out of it directly and was refilled.

After seeing all the positive reviews ,we planned our Saturdays dinner at Andhra Bhavan. Ambience was good and looked spacious. Tables were very clean. Staff were attentive. They served Rasam as a complimentary side dish. (They call it Rasam soup) It tasted perfect with a blend of tomatoes and pepper. We ordered Vegetable Manchurian which was bland and fell short of proper seasoning. Portion size was good. Chicken 65 was the next dish and even this didnt really meet our expectations. It lacked vibrant flavours . We actually wanted to order paneer Biryani but waiter suggested to go with Andhra paneer pulav , with a lot of thought we ordered the same. To our surprise Paneer pulav was the best. It had great aroma , authentic flavours and fine texture. We were happy with this recommendation of the staff. Well, we had a decent experience , but the food definitely fell short of expectations.

One of the tastiest chicken curries I have ever had. Noted that the milder of the two was at the border of my spicy tolerance, and I like quite spicy food, but it was so herbal and flavourful. Of note, also, it is bone-in which is a bit less easily eaten, but allows for a finer nuance of flavours. I havent had anything, but the complemtary tea was also delicious, as was the garlic Naan. 100% will go again... And again...

Food - One its expensive for what they serve, next the gave ghee roast chicken pulav and it felt like oil fried. Service is good. Cant complain Atmosphere - Tables are cold, the place is not properly insulated. Or they should have had a wall heater. Next - Music is loud or maybe they dont gave a centralised sound. Nevertheless, complimentary Rasam is good.

Andhra is a place in India and their specialty are spicy and flavourful dishes! This is Huntingwood Squares new hidden gem. The server was nice enough to explain me some things. I had a pleasant dinner night. I also like the music theyre playing. They gave me rasam, a spicy soup perfect for winter (as complementary) as I wait for my Andhra Chicken Curry. The curry was perfect with garlic naan and rice! Highly recommend this new Indian restaurant in Scarborough.

I tried Andhra fry piece chicken biryani. Theres too much oil in the biryani, and its lacking the flavor. Didnt enjoy much. Quantity is good.

Ordered a starter and pulav, both are made with indian pickles and its clearly evident. This not andhra food for sure. There is no flavor in pulav and tastes like rice was mixed with some south indian pickle.

First time ordering from Andhra Bhavan and it definitely wont be the last! Ordered the butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and tandoori murgh for take out. Pick up process was quick and easy. Very friendly staff. All dishes were extremely tasty and fresh. Portion sizes were very generous. Andhra Bhavan is a great addition to this neighbourhood plaza. Look forward to trying more dishes soon.

Food was not so great , we ordered 5 biryanis and hardly we can find 4 pieces of chicken and mutton pieces in one biryani.

At a friends place, the catering was done by Andhra Bhavan. I really liked the food, specially chilli paneer and Chicken Biryani.

The food is delicious and reasonably good portions. Price is reasonable good too! We went a couple times now and both times they met our expectations. Will definitely be going back.

A newly opened south Indian restaurant. We tried loose prawns, Tandoori chicken, chicken curry, Naans and Konaseema Kodi pulao. Loose prawns are very good and we ordered again. Naans could have been better, Pulao is the best we had in a long time. They compensated gulab jamoons for the Naans. The service is very good. A decent place to visit with the family to have South Indian food.

This place is a dream come true for the south Indian spicy food lovers. I was waiting to try some real taste of south India and I finally got to experience here. We tried loose prawns and fish pakoda along with chicken fry piece biriyani and konaseema Kodi pulav and all of them tasted fantastic. The service and ambience was appealing and our experience is so pleasant.
