Ok. I wasn't going to do a review but after seeing another person's review saying they had the owner reply with passive aggressiveness. Then I definitely will leave an HONEST review. I ordered three dishes from this place. A rice dish, the egusi and fufu and one that has chicken hearts and peppers. The only edible one was the grizodo. I think that's what it's called. The flavour was okay and it wasn't super spicy or off-putting. I was excited to try the egusi and fufu. But I couldn't eat it. I was very fishy and had little bones in it. How does one eat the fufu, dip it in the stew and eat the bones as well? The flavour was very bad. I threw most of the food out. The rice was super spicy, and the chicken that came with it was dry. It wasn't fresh, obviously reheated. I am a caterer and I am a trained Chef as well. This food was NOT IT. 1/10.

Ordered the Asun on UberEats for $26.99 and it tasted fine. However I was extremely disappointed by what was delivered given what I paid for. If I were to order again I would have to go in person because I could have used the $32.50 I paid for a full meal. Very disappointed.

The reviews definitely were NOT LYING. I walked into this restaurant and was immediately greeted nicely by the gentlemen. Very respectful and polite (something u e never seen from all these other naija restaurants). The young lady that handed me my food at the end was also very polite and courteous. I’m ver very impressed with their customer service…keep up the good work. Atmosphere is ok…not really a date vibe atmosphere but then again it’s a street food so it makes sense. Now the food…a bit pricy for the portion but ver delicious. The jollof rice is surprisingly the best Smokey jollof I’ve had in any GTA restaurant…and it is even better than my jollof and I’m a really good cook lol. The suya chicken was ok though. The gizzard was spicy but nice…but the dodo had no sweetness at all…but maybe it was my taste bud from the zobo I had. The Zion was good but for something that was suppose to be a large looked like a small and way too pricy…but it was good and natural. I wanted to support but I don’t think I’ll pay that price again for zobo lol. Overall I had a great experience with this restaurant and will definitely be returning. When I posted this on my IG I got so much DM of people asking me where I got it but I told them this is not sponsored unless they are tryna bring me with them to buy me some food before I release the location lol. But I finished my food sooo good 😋

I ordered via Uber eat , they called to let me know meat pie was out of stock , and they were very nice about it. I ordered Fried yam , with Suya fish , jollof rice , pepper soup and coleslaw. Fried yam and fish was good , put the pepper sauce for the yam was very small. Jollof rice wasn’t as sweet as I expected and it was a little hard. The pepper soup did not have taste, I couldn’t even get any suitable soup , it was water and oil and very inconsistent. I liked the meat inside , but they were tasteless because of how watery the soup is. The coleslaw was good.

Blessinglicious Restaurant, nestled at 2849 Kingston Rd, Scarborough Toronto, Ontario, near Victoria TTC subway, is a hidden gem for Nigerian cuisine enthusiasts. My husband and I indulged in a delightful feast, from the flavorful puff puff and fish roll starters to the aromatic party jollof with succulent Suya chicken and gizzdodo for the main course. Zobo drink perfectly complemented our meal. I finally satisfied my cravings with the delightful Amala and abula. The portions were generous, prompting us to take the yam fries and sauce home for later. The warm hospitality from the owners added a personal touch to our experience, making us feel truly welcomed. I rate Blessinglicious Restaurant a perfect 10/10 and can't wait to return for more culinary delights.

The best smoky Jollof rice I have had so far in this city, with the most amazing Suya chicken which was extremely flavourful. Service was fresh, smooth and just so friendly. The lovely owners shared their experiences in creating these beautiful dishes like how they loved to have them back home. The stories shared made the food taste just as good as it sounded back home. Very glad to have found such a gem in Scarborough and will continue to go again and again and again!!!

Such a tasty meal and a lovely experience! Everything was ridiculously flavourful and really well made. We had suya chicken (grilled meat marinated in a spicy peanut sauce, and peppered beef), gizdodo (peppered deep-fried chicken gizzards with plantain and red peppers), jollof rice, yam chips, zobos (drink made from hibiscus flowers) and puff puffs (fried flour dough balls). Hard to pick an stand out because every bite and sip was heavenly. Everything perfectly balanced: lots of flavour, and not greasy, heavy or too salty. Truly a journey thru flavour town lol. The service was outstanding. You can tell the owner is passionate about her business, food and cooking. She made us feel welcomed, recommended dishes, and answered our questions about her dishes. Such a lovely evening, and 100% worth the drive from downtown - will definitely be visiting soon :)

I have been told to try Nigerian food for quite sometime now, so when I saw this place on my way home I had to take advantage of the opportunity and Boy am I glad I did. Husband and wife owners are an absolutely pleasant delight. The food was flavorful and delicious even my kids enjoyed the food and my youngest is very picky. I will definitely be going back to try even more items from their menu. Extremely excited to have a clean, friendly Nigerian restaurant that serves authentic scrumptious food in this area.

I ordered their pepper soup on uber eats due to me being a little under the weather and it was very salty and inedible. After seeing my review, they blamed it on my taste buds and let a very passive aggressive message. So not so great food and service. I definitely don t recommend.

The jollof rice is not overly cooked and doesnt stick together, thats the way I love my jollof. The spices in the suya chicken intergate together to give it a unique flavor the fried Yam is very crisp the puff puff is not overly soaked in oil which makes it healthy for a fit fam like me.

I was extremely upset with the lack of customer service from this restaurant. I ordered cat fish pepper soup on DoorDash for $30.99 + tip and taxes. Then the restaurant called me to let me know that they don t actually have the Cat Fish Pepper soup which I was looking forward to having. So then I asked well can you just replace it with whatever soup is there this one time as this mistake is from the restaurant and not the customer as you are the ones who made the dish available on door dash. She said no we can t do that and they wanted me to go back and reorder the other soup to pay more money. The other soup was a Goat meat pepper soup for about $35-36 dollars. I don t understand why they couldn t just give me the other soup this one time and I ve ordered from them a few times before but now I won t order again.

TL;DR: Owner regrets giving out food that isnt hot and fresh and blames the experience on the first-time customers taste buds. Ok this review was difficult because I have a dilemma posting negative reviews about small businesses. In the end, here I am because its my hard earned money after all that was exchanged for their product and theres too many red flags for this experience that I couldnt ignore. I really tried to let this one go but after the entire day I still felt liked I was duped out of $25. The actual review : First time trying Nigerian food, not sure how authentic this place is but flavour-wise it was alright. I ordered the Foodgasm plate for take out and was very, very disappointed by the container when I opened it up. Moderate serving of Jollof rice, a few pieces of plantain (they didnt have Gizdodo apparently, they had just opened), and two of the smallest pieces of chicken I have ever seen. A drumstick very clearly on the small side and one of the smallest thighs I have ever seen. Im talkin about a thigh that would be the size of a large drumstick - and thats being generous because Ive seen some large drumsticks. To top it off, the food wasnt hot by the time I got home in my 7 to 8 minute ride. Did they reheat this or something? Because if I had ordered this as delivery, the delivery person would have probably taken the unfair blame. Overall I feel terrible writing this because its a small business, but that was absolutely not worth the money. This is, at best, a try-it-once-for-the-Nigerian-cuisine-experience place that I cant recommend to anyone. You be the judge. Edit: After reading some of these non-five-star reviews there appears to be several pointing out the food seemed reheated sometimes. That was the first thought that crossed my mind when I tried the food because it absolutely was not hot. Id be willing to bet it was actually reheated - if it looks like duck right? I guess Im not the only one that has had this experience and I really wish it werent the case because its relatively close. Edit 2: The owner replied to me and told me they gave me an order that was already sitting there for a while packed from before (which attempts to explain why it was not hot at all, Im talking barely lukewarm here) and they even looked at all my reviews to justify to themselves that I am unable to appreciate food from other cultures (I have 5 stars for a shawarma place and a jerk chicken place from what I remember of the top of my head). They also mentioned that they had a huge online rush order and they didnt want to keep me waiting so they gave me food that was sitting there because the delivery driver was late (what?). I never said anything about being in a rush and youd think that a restaurant would have lots of hot fresh food if they were that busy after opening at 2 PM on a Tuesday. Theyre right about one thing though, they charged me $23 + tax = $25.99 (I should have wrote $26 instead of $25). Edit 3: Sadly, downgraded their overall rating based on the owner response. They actually made this review easier to justify after they outed themselves for giving me food that wasnt hot (supposedly it was sitting there already for a while). If this place cant be bothered to make sure your food is hot then it already fails one of the most basic things a restaurant should do. I literally walked into the empty store and said This is my first time trying Nigerian food and was given this awful experience. You couldnt be bothered to give me hot and fresh food the first time, why would I ever go back a second time? The other negative reviews make so much more sense now.

The jollof is amazing, very tasty, the egusi and the pounded yam is extraordinary good, the Pomo was very basic, since you cannot order ponmo from any meat shop here, I thought it was imported from Naija, but it was not, the amala was ok, I can tell this people are not Yoruba, but they tried, overall , highly recommend for their egusi.

Blessinglicious is really a blessing. Their food is in good quality, and fresh when it arrived. I got pounder yum and Egusi which is really my favorite Nigerian food, you can see in my profile that I am a Filipino, yes I am, and I learned and liked Nigerian food because I am friend with the Nigerian community in my Country Philippines. I get ubereats from this restaurant and the price is really cheaper than I thought compared to other restaurants I tried. Im looking forward to visit this restaurant.

I decided to order food from here, because I missed Nigerian food, and I really do understand it s expensive to make so I had high expectations, the jollof I ordered looked more like fried rice than actual jollof ,and sincerely didn t have enough salt or seasoning,Same as the chicken( it s advertised as suya chicken ,but it didn t have enough suya seasoning, it just tasted regular chicken, not spicy ) the gizdodo was really GOOD but still too small to salvage the food. For something so expensive especially with DoorDash I really expected more from the rice sadly

I was so exciting to go there as this place is closer to my house . I know about Nigerian cuisine but most great restaurants are located on the West side. I was quickly disappointed! 1. OPENING HOURS: The sign said they open at 12.00pm. I arrived at 12.20pm and the lady was cleaning the floor. The setting was clearly NOT ready to receive customers. Chairs were still on the table! When I made my order she asked me to come back in 20-25 min. 2. THE FOOD: My order was Yollof rice and suya chix. I had the impression that the rice was the left over from a few days ago from the bottom of the pan. It tasted like burned and (not smoky) and definitely NOT fresh! I could tell that the rice has not be done on the same day. 3. CONTACT: When you call the number that they posted online, it directs you to an office number (that does not belong to this place)...so I could not reach them . TERRIBLE CULINARY EXPERIENCE Parking: No parking on site.

Upon entering Blessinglicious you can be greeted with pleasant West-African music and the smiling staff of Blessinglicious. I have ordered the Gizdodo, Pepper Beef, Roasted Plantain, Suya Fish, Suya Chicken, Jollof Rice, Fried Yam, and Zobo from Blessinglicious. The food packs heat and is a symphony of flavours. The grilled meats have a lovely smokey taste and are extremely tender. While I have loved everything that I have ordered, my personal favourites are the Gizdodo and Jollof. I enjoyed it so much that I was inspired to cook it at home! I also really enjoy the Zobo drink. It offers a nice sweetness and floral flavour, which contrasts nicely from the savoury dishes. Blessing and the staff of Blessinglicious have a passion for both food and customer satisfaction, and this is reflected in the food. They take pride in preparing their food in fresh and healthy ways that respect and highlight the ingredients. The staff of Blessinglicious are also very upbeat, kind, and want to ensure that their customers leave satisfied. Needless to say, I have left satisfied every time!

And the zobo drink to top it all off was refreshing with its pineapple and ginger undertones. The owners are a friendly, sweet couple, and I ll be back for more. 5/5 stars for me!!

Absolutely delicious. This is my second give of being here. The span of time between the first time and the second time was six months, and in that time, the trajectory of deliciousness has massively exploded exponentially.

This is a new, mostly takeout restaurant in my bluffs neighborhood. I decided to try their lunch special mainly to see what the food was like, as I ve never tried Nigerian food before. The server was lovely and inviting the restaurant needs a little work. Looks like they moved in but they don t plan on staying The lunch special was $9.99+ tax It consisted of a little drumstick called Suya chicken had a nice spicy flavor to it, but was really tiny. It also had their Jolliof rice again nice spices but the rice was dry and hard like it was sitting around for a while, and they just heat it up. not a substantial amount of rice either for that price, served with a little less than a quarter cup of coleslaw. I wasn t really impressed. :(

We never had Nigerian Food before and now we can proudly say Blessinglicious is one of our fav Scarborough restaurant. There are so many veg and non veg halal options to choose from and youll definitely want to come back for more. I parked at the Canadian Tire next to the store to grab the food. I recommend the suya chicken, jollof rice, gizodo and meat pie to try. Avg full meal cost $20 - $30.

So first of all, do not think youve had a nice Nigerian dish if this the only Nigerian restaurant you ate from. We were very disappointed when we got home to eat the pounded yam and egusi just to find out there was only one piece of chicken in the egusi and it had no taste just Maggie. The jollof rice is so dry, waste of money fr. Blessing you don scam me oooo!!!!

My first time trying soyu chicken & it did not disappoint! It is addictive, even more so than KFC & far healthier as it is grilled. I also had the Nigerian version of sorrel which tasted incredible delicious since it was mixed with pineapple and banana instead of the Caribbean version which is mixed with sugar. Definitely recommend. Top stars.

Blessinglicious food service was great . The meal was delivered warm and on time to my Markham location which was about 30 minutes away by car. The Lady Blessing was very affable and patient in obtaining food orders, and always responded promptly to all my call. She made payment transfer process quite easy for me. Thanks to the team for the extra food item added to what I order. Needless to say, the food was perfectly Nigerian and delicious
