Absolutely fantastic dining experience! The food was exceptional—delicious, beautifully presented, and offered in generous portions. You get incredible value for your money with their fair prices. The view from the restaurant is stunning, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. And to top it all off, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Highly recommend this place—definitely deserves five stars!
Came here after a walk around the bluffs - beautiful location and setting. The food was really good - crispy calamari was probably the best I’ve ever had. Fries were also delicious. The food overall was tasty and fresh. Large portions for the most part. Pescatarian and vegetarian options. Good service, the atmosphere was quiet and it was slow at the time we went.
I had a wonderful birthday dinner at Bluffers Restaurant and Event Centre. The Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor, while the Creamy Lobster Linguine was rich, decadent, and beautifully balanced. The atmosphere was cozy and scenic, making it a memorable evening. A delightful dining experience!
I’m glad to come to the restaurant for my husband’s birthday. I don’t expect the big dishes. The fish cakes are highly recommended. Beautiful lake view! Fantastic and friendly staff and manager. ❤️❤️❤️ You won’t get disappointed. Nice to go out for a night stroll. Definitely come back later.
This venue and restaurant is an underrated hidden gem! My husband and I had our wedding here in August and it was honestly one of the best days of our life! Peter and his team overdelivered on our vision and exceeded our expectations. They were extremely accommodating, friendly and flexible with our requests and everything came together perfectly. Our guests loved the late night ice cream truck and the oyster bar had some of the best oysters we've ever tried! The food was amazing - great portion sizes, and actually flavourful. They also provided a variety of menu options to choose from (compared to a lot of other venues we checked out that were pretty generic and bland.) The venue itself is so beautiful and the views of the bluffs were stunning. The wrap around balcony made it perfect to get some fresh air. It was also very convenient that many things we did not have to source outside because the venue had it's own (e.g. tables, linens, sound system etc.). Even though there was lots of space in the venue, our guests commented that our wedding felt intimate, even with 100 guests. We loved that the vibe felt laid back and comfortable, yet still formal and fancy. Our guests were raving about it and we had a memorable time we will never forget. Peter added touches to make us feel special and is a reasonable and down-to-earth owner. You can put your faith in him and his team that everything will go smoothly. We would highly recommend hosting your wedding or event here, or even stopping by to try their regular menu (which is also delicious and high quality). WE CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We made reservations for a company lunch and the staff were extremely catering and friendly the entire time. The restaurant has a lovely patio with a view of the bluffs marina. All of the dishes were very generous portion sizes so they are easy to share. The greek dishes such as the chicken souvlaki and grilled octopus were well presented and cooked perfectly.
WORST FOOD WE EVER HAD Came here for an anniversary dinner and are sickened by the food and the service. First, we thought we’d try out the calamari for our app and it was 95% breaded. We were barely checked on as well. I am honestly having a hard time writing this because I am still in shock with our experience. Party of 6 ordered the surf and turf (8oz sirloin steak and 6oz lobster tail). The steak was ordered medium rare but came out well done and looked the size of a 4oz, refer to picture below. Now the lobster, it was completely dry and impossible to take out of the shell. For this meal to be $60 before tax and not even edible, how is this restaurant staying afloat? Come here for a drink and the view (we went straight to McDonalds because we are starving)
They offer very generous serving sizes. The octopus was unbelievably tender. I recommend the mixed seafood linguini with its very rich delicious cream sauce which is very filling. The calamari itself was very enjoyable, though the sauce was a bit too acidic. The shrimp saganaki is very appetizing, though it would be better if fresh instead of frozen shrimp was used. The restaurant is surrounded by windows with a high ceiling allowing for lots of natural light and an excellent view of the marina and lake. The service is excellent, I do recommend coming here for the food and view.
Beautiful place with great views
I come here frequently and refer this place to my friends. The food is delicious - servers are fun and friendly but most importantly the family that owns the business are some of the most hard working and caring restauranteurs I have met. They are passionate about quality food and service! It is always a pleasure - give them a try!! Vegetarian options: vegetables, veggie burgers and dogs - if you eat fish there are tons of seafood and fish options - excellent full sized salads Dietary restrictions: Just ask and they will accommodate anything possible from the kitchen Parking: Lots of space in the 3 large lots Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly! Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible with ramp
Had my bridal shower here, the food, team, and support were amazing. The service was impeccable and the team went out of their way to ensure we had a great time and the guests got everything they needed.
It s serves nice water , Use the information wisely
Great views. Went to watch the hockey game. Had the jerk tacos. Very yummy
Dina and Peter and their staff made my bridal shower come to life! They worked out our ideas beautifully making this an easy and fun experience. The food was outstanding, everyone raved about it! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and appreciate all your support!
View was exceptional from the balcony. Seafood pasta was dry, but other foods were good. Staffs were friendly for my little ones too.
Excellent food, all made from scratch. Really authentic and generous servings. Our server was very nice and friendly too Food
Nice food and big portions !
Great service and views
Dont order coke there. Pure water.
Vegetarian options: very accommodating to whatever vegetarian needs you need Dietary restrictions: Being Muslim, the owners were very exceptional and on point in regards to being Halal or non-Halal Kid-friendliness: Very exceptional with kids the staff are great Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for wheelchair accessibility for anybody that needs
Great location, friendly staff enjoyed the Lobster linguine, Surf & Turf. On point seasoning. Feels great coming to the lake and enjoying the food and atmosphere.
The restaurant serves great tasting food. We had our wedding reception in the event centre and the food was great and the service was exceptional... all at an affordable cost. Food
Great food, ambience is wonderful with halal option. Happy to see owners that actually care about there customers. Food
Greek-inspired menu, really big portions (almost everyone takes a dogy bag) with fair prices. We had fried squid rings - very good, the mixed cold starter platter was okay (the grilled vegetables were a bit bland) You sit outside directly at the marina, nice view (I cant say anything about inside).
Had a great experience! Owner was really attentive, we had a little baby and he really went out of the way to make the dinner smooth for us, offered to keep the food warm, got us mineral water for formula and more :)
Beautiful location, excellent food big portions. Wonderful service Food
I was there for a bridal shower! Beautiful location! Food and atmosphere was great! Service was not as good. They kept forgetting our table. I had to ask for water 2 times. They walked by us with the bread . I asked them and they d said they thought we had it. All other tables were provided coffee. I said you guys keep forgetting our table and they rolled their eyes. Then when they were cleaning the plates they started to clean our table and I started to stack them to help and they walked away to go to another the table and I said I can t believe she walked away and didn t finish and she yelled back I heard you with attitude. No apologies were ever given.
Peter and Dina are the best hosts ever. Awesome service. Great view of the marina. The food is just so fresh and delightful. Definitely recommend anytime. Peaceful location.
Beautiful view, great food, friendly staff.
Today was our 2nd visit as a group of 9 people (our last visit was a year ago, before today). Once again, a great experience! The service is amazing. We had a fantastic waitress who was super friendly and attentive. She really helped make our experience great. The food was very generous and good! Everyone enjoyed everything to the fullest. The owner did something very special for us at the end of our evening, which we wont forget, and really appreciated. Customer service to the max. We will definitely return again.
The food was really atrocious. I gave it all to my dog who ate it happily. Beautiful view of the marina and very friendly staff.
I was at a weeding here loved the place the food and every thing
I ve been visiting this place for a few summers now, and this year s food is the best I ve ever had. I celebrated my birthday here on Friday with my fam and tried almost all the pastas on the menu every dish was outstanding. It seems there s new management and kitchen staff, and their work has truly elevated the quality. My mom loved the creamy lobster linguine and wants to come back for her birthday. My husband, who s a picky eater, was especially impressed with the surf and turf; the seasoning was exceptional and tasted like fine dining quality. Despite the rain, the atmosphere was great and worth every dollar. We ll definitely be back soon and hoping to cater my sons birthday :)
TLDR; Good for hosting. Staff is friendly, food came on time. Came for an end of the year celebration approx. 25 people. The high ceiling with the wood gives cozy rustic vibes. Had the Chicken Alfredo; portion was filling, standard flavour. I would like to try the souvlaki next time; co-workers praised the rice. We even brought our own cake and they sliced and served it.
My husband and i, had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at The Bluffers Restaurant and Event Center, and it was an unforgettable experience! The ambiance was breathtakingly beautiful, providing the perfect backdrop for our special day. Dina and Peter were exceptional in their service, actively involved in every step of the planning process, ensuring every detail was meticulously executed. Their dedication and expertise made our wedding vision a reality. The food was simply amazing, with our guests still raving about the delicious cuisine. The Bluffers truly exceeded our expectations in every way. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone seeking a stunning setting, exceptional service, and unforgettable cuisine. Thank you, Dina, Peter, and the entire team at The Bluffers, for making our wedding day truly unforgettable! Sincerely, The Moores (Zaria and Roger)
Thank you Dianne and Peter owners of the restaurant who helped my friend s wedding event possible. My friend Maria was very happy and appreciative for the compliment they have included as a gift for them. Definitely will come back for other events here. Highly recommended
Narcis is an awesome server and the Restaurant is a gem by the Lake. A rare find and a must for food lovers. Food taste, quantity and quality all are justified with the price. Outside patio was mind blowing given it was raining outside when I went.
Peter, Dina and Rosemarie were gracious and made our wedding reception memorable. Our guests enjoyed the food, drinks and marina location. Peter was also able to refer us to a wedding decorator that did a fantastic job. They worked very hard to accommodate our reception and helped decorate and make it accessible for our wedding cake and DJ vendors. They also helped cater to guest allergies and accessibility for our guests. Dina was very gracious and helped cut our wedding cake and their staff served drinks and food to our guests. It was a beautiful evening and we are very grateful to have held our wedding reception at Bluffers restaurant. Thank you for hosting us and making it a memorable evening. Jamie & Katya
The views are amazing here! However, I wish I could give the food and service a better review. I ordered the pasta with lobster linguini and the pasta was not cooked well - they were stuck together and hard/crunchy at the tips. It was also dry and bland and barely any flavor. My mother had the pan seared red snapper. The vegetables were very salty. My step daughter had the grilled cheese and she wasnt impressed. Also, when we asked for ketchup with the grilled cheese, server brought us an empty bottle of ketchup. She rarely checked on us and I felt we were kind of neglected. I would have understood if the place was uber busy but it was empty. Im typically not one to give a bad review or complain but feel I need to share this experience. Was disappointed as I was looking forward to this since many of the reviews here are 5*.
I would like to give them 3.5 to be honest. I wanted to be positive after all but - the food was below average, my husband and I had been really excited to try this place out as we saw they got 4.2 stars review. First, the water came out after we placed the whole order around 10 minutes. And maybe around 30 minutes for the food to be out. Sadly, service was slow and not attentive. On the date we went, there were just 2 other tables dining, and 1 of them was almost done. We (and the other guests as well that I noticed) all needed to look around for the server or any staff around but no one showed up after a while. The seared salmon was disappointing, I couldn t find any bit of the crispiness anywhere of the salmon, as it was all covered with the sauce, this was $29 before tax and service fee. The surf and turf was not special; my husband said it didnt meet his basic expectation, he ordered Medium but they did it Medium Well. He still finished the dish, as we did not want to return. We might take extra time to wait for another plate. Lastly, their mimosa was underwhelming, it was cloying and just simply filled with the syrup. The lime they used was old, dry and hard on the rind. Note: They set up 18% as the minimum service fee, you can always adjust it, yet I still gave them 18%. I was not mad; it s just that, due to the food (main reason) together with the service, I will not be back.
Very good service with Alejandra. She is VERY kind and professional. We order a brunch buffet $28,99/pers (until 3 pm) it was nice ! Food : 4/5
Hosted a family gathering of 20. Delicious food, good portions, wonderful service. Thanks for looking after us. Food
The food is amazing but the staff set it apart. Great location of course. Prepare for parking a little further away in the green p lot occasionally on busy weekends. But the food makes it worth the extra hundred meters. 10/10 on every dish Ive had. Esp brunch buffet.
Crispy calamari and grilled whole fish are delicious. Patio is clean and quiet. We would definitely come back.
I went to Bluffers Park Restaurant for the first time (not the last, though). My friend had seen a review in Toronto Life. The view is lovely. The service is fantastic. Everyone was attentive. We were there at the same time as a family celebrating a childs First Communion so the restaurant was full. We didnt have to wait any longer than one would normally wait for food to be prepared. Everything seemed very well organized. The food was delicious. We ordered the pan-seared red snapper. Our server warned us that it was a whole fish with head, tail, and bones. Letting customers know this type of detail could be normal in the restaurant biz (I dont go out that much) but I appreciated the info. It came with rapini and lemon potatoes. I cleaned my plate. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Plus, our server looked so much like Scarlett Johanson I felt like I was close to a celebrity!
I guess peoples expectations arent too high based on the ratings. We decided to try out their mothers day buffet. The only thing worst than the food was the lack of service and disorganization of the place. The buffet was like going back to the early 80s but with todays prices. Horrible experience!
We recently hosted a family event at this venue, and I couldnt be happier with the experience. From the delicious food to the attentive service and inviting atmosphere, every aspect exceeded our expectations. The owners, managers, and staff went out of their way to accommodate our every request, making our event truly special and memorable. We enjoyed a variety of appetizers, a buffet dinner featuring a selection of mouthwatering dishes, and a decadent chocolate mousse dessert all of which were exceptional. The atmosphere was not only beautiful but also perfect for capturing memorable moments in photos. What truly set this place apart was the warmth and care of the staff, who made us feel like part of their family. Kudos to the kitchen staff for their outstanding culinary skills and to everyone involved in creating such a wonderful experience!
What a great view, and the service and food was very good.
We went there around 5pm, the place was empty but it overlooks the dock area which was nice. The food is excellent imo, I got the lobster linguine 10/10 but my gf s Greek food was alright 7/10. Definitely recommend sea food options here. Overall good experience and would come back again.
Fish/Chips costs only $11.00, very enough for man not only for a kid. Salmon grilled is also so much juicy and cool heated. Really awesome.
Food is mediocre BUT its the view that makes us come back. Serene ..away from crazy Toronto traffic
To start off with the place was freezing cold. I had to wear my coat all through dinner. We had the seafood pasta which was supposed to include lobster, calamari, mussels, shrimp and clams. Unfortunately, there was no lobster or calamari in my dish. The waitress was kind enough to provide me with a complimentary order of grilled calamari to make up for the missing seafood in the pasta. Regrettably, the chef made it with a honey sauce. Yuck!!
Food was good - new staff you can tell. their pay system is not set up to add split amounts to other bills - if you wanted to split a bill you need to pay yours than the split bill. Annoying but not end of world. Dress warm place is cold. Food is what makes me give the 4 stars.
Went here for a pre set 5 course meal organised by my office ..!! The service was really good and very friendly staff..! Ample parking .. definitely good to come during summer to enjoy the bluffs as well. View from the event space is really scenic ..!! Food was good..!!
We went for a special occasion dinner and was very impressed! The service was excellent and the staff were friendly! The view from the event space is lovely.
Food was fantastic. Service excellence. Would highly recommend !
Service is impeccable! The new owners seem to be fixing the place up and constantly making improvements.
Fantastic! The food was outstanding!! Grilled octopus was incredible!
Responsibilities vs Rights (A learning from the Nature) : We come to this world with some born responsibilities; our rights in most cases, develop gradually later. A child is born by the grace of the creator from the mother s womb in an unknown environment for that child, and achieves the identity only after birth in response to the facilities available around. This uncertain world allows a child to adapt with the surroundings eventually. During the growing up tenure a child is considered to be elevated under the protection and/or left abandoned sometimes which is beyond that child s control. Among all the facilities while grown up should count as rewards and bonus, not as the birth rights alone. The person behind the existing complexed global/social bindings sometimes become sandwiched. The surrounding familial, social, academic, financial, geographical, political, global and religious laws and bindings make a mesh around a child s freedom to roam around. There is a quote, said by Jean-Jacques Rousseau: Man is born free but everywhere he is in chains ! That explains, human beings are good by nature but are rendered corrupt by the society. He is as pure and innocent as a reward of the Creator, but than he is a social being son or a daughter of someone with host of relatives and indebted to his parents and society at large for being given an identity. But a man is found in chains is a fact which is difficult to challenge. Rousseau asserts that modern states repress the physical freedom that is our birthright, and do nothing to secure the civil freedom for the sake of which we enter into civil society. A complexed situation indeed. People should teach their descendants the responsibilities & the rights, not only the human rights. Whether recklessly driving over the speed limit on the highways is a responsibility of any driver to learn first instead a right !!
I went on Sunday to their brunch with a friend of mine. The quality of the food was okay at best. They had a good selection of different things, but the service could have been better. I feel $25.00 per person plus taxes was a little expensive.
The food was amazing and the new owner and staff are excellent! Love the grilled octopus and the lamb was delicious! Dietary restrictions: Halal options are available here
I went here to celebrate a birthday, and they made the occasion extra special. The atmosphere was pleasing and relaxing. The restaurant is right inside of the Bluffers Park and is on the water. As a result, if the weather allows it and you dine outside, the view is amazing. The food tastes great and the prices are affordable. Our server was a sweetheart, and she ensured we were well taken care of and tried tirelessly to light a birthday candle despite the wind, and sing happy birthday. Overall, the restaurant is a must visit
Our group of 21 received efficient and extremely friendly service and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We will definitely dine there again.
My parents took my kids so my partner and I could have a date night. I opted for breakfast instead as my daughter is allergic to eggs so we can never go out for breakfast We arrived, the buffet was on the opposite side of where is is normally (so we were told). The staff were very disorganized. They were trying and, they were all friendly. There were so many opportunities for improvement. It opens at 11, we arrived around 1115. The omelette station was not in working order until 1140 or so. When it came out there were peppers, onions, and tomatoes. No cheese, no meats. The roast was delish, but no one was there to serve it half the time. They forgot to bring out the milk for the coffee. Plates were never cleared off the tables/ just kept re using my own. No regular bread / toast available. Later a table got a stack brought to them? They forgot the butter (I used on French toast). I m not sure if I ve ever been to a buffet where you have to top up your own coffee / at a coffee station (except maybe the free ones at a motel). Food was okay (pancakes and French toast, sausages and 3 strips of bacon, chicken, Brussels sprouts, eggs Benedict (which looked like the pan had been shaken), roast, omelet station, muffins and some pastries, 3 salads, cured salmon. Nothing was hot, maybe luke warm. I found it a tad expensive for the experience, 28.99. I d go back to see if they were just having an off day (as someone said to us while we were there).
One of our favourite places.
Owners are great. Food is really really good. The view is fantastic and the pricing is so reasonable. Highly recommend. Food
Had dinner here for my father in laws 75th birthday. Service was great, food was excellent and a great atmosphere with a beautiful view. The platters are an excellent choice when hosting large parties.
Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and great service. Not forgetting the Live Band Performance. Wheelchair accessibility: Great to see a Restaurant on the Lakefront that has such excellent accessibility.
The view is amazing, but unfortunately that is the only positive thing about this restaurant. The steak was extremely tough with no seasoning, and the seafood linguini was just as bad. The service was non existent. This the first restaurant I have been to that I completely regretted. Such a shame, I was excited to try this place. It s more expensive than the Keg, so do yourself a favour and go there instead.
We had our wedding reception at Bluffers Restaurant and Event Center. It is a great location and the owner was very flexible and accommodating. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and the staff was very professional. I can definitely recommend this place for any event or just a relaxing dinner with a great view and atmosphere. Thank you, to Peter, his wife and staff for making our special day a success.
Attending a wedding is always a memorable milestone, but the event I recently went to left me utterly disappointed and disheartened. I personally knew the bride and groom, and it was disheartening to witness the venue failing to fulfill their promises. Seeing the bride in tears was especially heartbreaking since she had put in so much effort to save money for this special day, just like any couple would. I have to say, booking this venue is a risky move. To make matters worse, even during the event, there were clear signs of disorganization. I asked the servers for water, only to find out from the bride that she had paid for two bottles of Evian on each table, which were nowhere to be found. The lack of communication and organization from the owners only added to the confusion and frustration felt by the attendees. The couple spent most of the time running around after staff. In conclusion, I strongly advise against booking this venue for any special occasion, especially a wedding. The unfulfilled promises, lack of organization, and poor communication were significant letdowns. Seeing the brides disappointment firsthand and the efforts she had made to make her dream wedding a reality, it is clear that this venue falls short in delivering a satisfactory experience.
Everything was delicious
Great tasting food and service
My friend got married here last month. For being an event space, this was the worst experience. It started with the parking I got there 30 minutes early could not find a spot , drove around for 30 minutes looking for parking almost missed my friends wedding. After I had to walk 20 minutes because I had to park so far away. (With a broken leg) They paid for for wine and bottled water at the table didnt get any of it till half way through and had to ask! The water never came!!!!! There were no servers serving out the food and they never showed! It can not accommodate anywhere near 100 person wedding! My friend got robbed by this venue! Do not book your wedding here!!!!
Very dirty. The chef was in bathroom and did not wash his hands. We canclled our order and left. Discussing and very over priced.
We used to have lovely lunches here for family events, but I believe it has changed owners since our last one, and unfortunately its charm has not endured. We were served rancid mussels and after complaining, were lectured by a server about how some people have different tastes and seafood is for a more refined palate. Salmon was fine. Not going back. UPDATE: To address the the owners reply below, I have eaten mussels many, many times, as had the person sharing the dish with me. We immediately agreed it tasted off. At least all of Google can witness your gaslighting now.
Thank you so much for making our grandsons graduation dinner so memorable. The family had a wonderful time the food was fantastic and service excellent and the Greek music was icing on the cake. Thank you so much we will be back for more
Such a vibe! The service is amazing, the food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere indoors and outdoors is amazing.
The worst fish,& chips ever
Just don t do it, save yourself
We got a last minute late dinner reservation to celebrate our granddaughters high-school graduation and they were very accommodating to prep our delicious meals before the kitchen closed. Great fun and welcoming staff! We look forward to future visits. Dietary restrictions: Took care of one of our party to make the dish dairy free.
Look too scarier, I left immediately.
My recent visit to Bluffers Restaurant & Event Centre left me incredibly disappointed. As a customer seeking a memorable dining experience, I had high hopes for this establishment. Unfortunately, the reality of the situation fell far short of my expectations. From the moment I entered the restaurant, it was clear that the staffs attitude towards me and other patrons was indifferent at best. Despite having made a reservation, we were met with a lack of professionalism and an overall sense of inconvenience. This initial encounter set a negative tone for the rest of the evening. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was subpar. Sticky tables and a general lack of attention to detail made for an uncomfortable dining environment. It was disheartening to witness the restaurants neglect, which reflected poorly on the managements ability to maintain basic standards. The service provided was equally disappointing. Our server seemed disinterested and lacked the enthusiasm one would expect in the hospitality industry. Their lack of attentiveness and reluctance to offer recommendations or answer questions about the menu further compounded our dissatisfaction. It was evident that the staff did not value our presence as customers. When the food finally arrived, it failed to redeem the overall experience. The dishes lacked the promised flavors and were poorly executed. Sloppy presentation and the use of subpar ingredients were evident, indicating a lack of culinary skill and passion in the kitchen. However, what truly struck a chord was witnessing how the restaurant treated its former employees. The disregard and mistreatment of individuals who had previously worked at Bluffers was disheartening to observe. It is troubling to support an establishment that demonstrates such unethical behavior towards its staff. In conclusion, my experience at Bluffers Restaurant & Event Centre left me deeply disappointed. The lackluster service, subpar food quality, and mistreatment of former employees all contributed to this regrettable visit. I believe it is essential for potential diners to be aware of the shortcomings of this establishment. Therefore, I would not recommend dining at Bluffers if you are seeking a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
First time here today, Food was good, customer service was good, the view from the patio seats was nice, would definitely eat here again
Excellent food , great view , great service , perfect dinner for me and my family . Lobster linguine is amazing . Thanks
This place is a hidden gem. Lived in Scarborough 20 yrs and wasnt aware. They also have a live band/ show every Friday and Saturday nights. Strongly recommend. Went back after a week with the entire family. There was a live band food was good did not disappoint.
This has been on our outdoor family dining list for 2 years, but due to COVID, we only managed to visit this summer. It was great outdoor cozy dinner with family. I lived my fish, my moms lamb chop was too well done. I think their plating is good and overall value for money. The restaurant can do an overall makeover though. The view is spectacular. Love the staff there, very friendly. Will definitely come back.
BIGGEST LET DOWN OF MY LIFE.. while booking this event space for my wedding I had a few criteria the owners Peter and Dina listened went over things and even gave me their best advice on how my wedding day should unfold because they do this all the time I told everyone about them I was so happy. Little did I know that they would both be my only source of frustration on my wedding day. Everything that I paid for everything we agreed on was all washed under the rug. They absolutely didn t care about my wedding. The main concern for them was the tables in their other restaurant not the 120 people at my wedding. Which they said would only be a table of 4 but obviously their greed to make more money took over. I don t care how many tables they took on the other side as long as they cater to my wedding as well. I was taken advantage of on the worst day possible and these people knew EXACTLY what they were doing. We agreed that my caterer would have their staff help in the kitchen as they were from out of town and they would have an allocated space in kitchen to work out of. As well as their staff assist in buffet lines, clearing tables etc. That was not the case my caterer did everything on their own and my buffet lines were absolutely a disaster leaving half the guests without apps because they decided not to have staff serve food in the buffet line like we agreed to. I paid for two 1.5L bottles of wine on each table.. I had to tell Dina an two hrs into my wedding that my sister in law just waited 15 minutes in line at the bar for a glass of wine that was supposed to be on the table from the start. After rolling her eyes she ushered a couple staff in my side of the space to put out the hot white wine and dusty red bottles .. and before the wedding was even over they had their staff collect all the bottles still full off the tables so they can use for their next event no doubt even though I should be getting them. Come to find out after the wedding that my guests weren t even given water?! What the hell is wrong with you people??? I paid for 2 glass bottles of Evian on each table why were they never placed there? Looking at my wedding photos you see the tables empty only my centrepieces which I kept small because of all these drinks that were supposed to be on the table. I m absolutely disgusted at the way my wedding was handled. My biggest problem was trusting these two not to scam me on the most important party I would have. My guests had no parking even if they came an hour early. My guests were constantly yelled at by the owners for waiting in line at their stupid set up of a bar. My wedding was Mother s Day weekend I ve been so embarrassed losing sleep at how this all unfolded since may 13th. We are not some spoiled kids that were given everything we saved up our money to pay for this wedding. I hope that when your kids get married no one treats them the same way you did to us. Nevermind their staff other than a few solid hard workers the rest were rude sloppy drunk messes and throughout my wedding was one of their kids constantly running through in my photos and everything standing in front of me while I gave my speech and literally photographed by my photographer. Drunk hot mess of a chef bothering me while I tried to set up my wedding the night before. Incompetent staff telling me to cut and serve my own cake! Then the big SURPRISE of telling me I have to tear down my own wedding immediately after guests leave!! Which I was told I can do the following day. So imagine cleaning and organizing things after your wedding day is over in your wedding dress and heels at 1:00am. Other than using the space itself and a open bar I have no idea what I paid these people for. I never argued any prices and paid exactly what we agreed on. I did my part but this place absolutely didn t do their part. The thing that hurts the most is that I know these people could have done better. Now that the event is over and most of the trauma has subsided do what you will with this information google.
My family enjoyed my 60th birthday celebration. I was able to reserve my small family group in a short notice and was accommodated right away by Berlin, one of their staffs who picked up my phone call. We were attended by Julie who took care of us through out the celebration. She was so super friendly and attentive and even surprised me having the band sings Happy Birthday as she paraded the cake to our table. We enjoyed the awesome delicious platter of Meditteranian mixed grilled meat and vegetables with plethora of dips/sauces. All I can say... they have great service and delicious food. For sure our next big occasion will be here again.
We went at a very busy time so staff did there best to accommodate. Food was ok. We had the chicken souvlaki. Will go back to try something else in the future.
Great place! Great food! Great service. Our group of 25 was welcomed and treated very well. Food
We had my daughter s baby shower here this past Sunday. The owners and staff were professional and accommodating. The food was delicious and the service was excellent too. Guests were impressed by the pleasant scenery in the dining areas where we hosted the event.
Dirty, run down and unfriendly. If you don t like Greek food don t bother. No French Fries or burgers at this place and the food they do offer is over saturated in olive oil and balsamic, probably to hide the fact that they can t cook. Oh and the Guinness is in a can! Seriously not an experience I ll be repeating.
Best place for Events, wedding & fine Dinning .
I was here for a baby shower..beautiful room with wonderful views... It only got better when the food was served simply amazing . Highly recommend Food : 5/5
Mediterranean Seafood platter was exceptional. More than enough to feed 4 people. Service was great and prices were good. Would highly recommend.
I cant even begin to express how grateful I am for my experience at this amazing place! My parents threw an engagement party here for my fiancé and I in October 2023, and it was an absolute dream, all thanks to Peter and Dina! Seriously, these two are just fantastic! They treated us like family from even just the planning stages, and I cant emphasize enough how wonderful they are. If youre going to have an event here, its worth it just for the service alone!!! But on top of the service... The view? Absolutely breathtaking. The food? Exceptional, especially the salmon it was a huge hit! The ambiance was so enchanting and rustic, and again, the service? Unparalleled. The parking is also perfect and right in front of the place, so you dont have to walk far at all! Ive never been treated so warmly by any establishment in my life! Peter and Dina went above and beyond for me, my fiancé, our families, and our guests. Their efforts truly made our special day magical. Ill forever cherish the memories they helped us create and I will never forget their involvement in our special day! From being so humble and welcoming, to dancing with us on the dance floor, to giving us suggestions on how best to save money during the process. I genuinely cannot stress how incredible Dina and Peter were, and the rest of their staff were equally incredible! If youre considering hosting an event here, absolutely do it! I cannot rave enough about this place and cant wait to hold future events here! THANK YOU PETER & DINA!
I have always wanted to try this place because the menu looked good and the view seems awesome. Unfortunately, we didnt time it right and arrived there after the sun already went down. Nevertheless, the food was so delicious. We were surprised that we were the only ones at the restaurant on a Friday evening. The staff had great service and was very personable. She even gave us some bread and dip on the house. My favourite was the hummus. All their food tastes like it was freshly made and with the best ingredients. The portions are also very big. I would love to come back here during the daytime for the view. I asked about possibly reserving 40 spots for a work dinner, but she said that there is a $1000 fee for a room booking. There is no option for booking 40 spots in the dining area, which is unfortunate.
We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at Bluffers last August 2021 and it could not have been a better experience. Every step of the way we were extremely well taken care of by Bobby, Voula, and staff. From the initial planning stages all the way through to the end of night clean up, the team at Bluffers was exceptional. Every guest we spoke to had great reviews about the dinner and drinks. The private patio, dance floor, separate ceremony space, customizability, and picturesque surrounding views of the marina and waterfront all made it feel like a one of a kind venue. Would highly recommend to any who asks!
Food and service was amazing! Thank you Katrina for taking care of us!
Had a wonderful time. Things were laid back and the view was nice. And the server, I believed her name is Patricia. She was energetic and sweet. Good service!!
Treated 2 fine friends to a fine & tasty lunch. A bit pricey but the view & location are worth the price of admission.
The food was pretty good, but it was a hit or miss. The lobster mac and cheese was a bit bland and the cheese was (dare I say) TOO stringy. The lobster was well cooked and tender tho. The fish and chips were good too, and even the fries were salted and crispy. I wish the tartar sauce had more pickles instead of being basically just mayo. On the other hand, my friends got the red wine mussels and they were undercooked/majority of the mussels were barely cracked open. A friend got the lobster linguine and realized he basically only had 2 actual chunks of lobster in it, so he paid $40 for pretty much just noodles. Another friend got the lobster mac and cheese as well and it was burnt/overcooked, but the waitress kindly removed it from the bill at the end. Overall, I wouldnt say it is worth the price, but the service was great (and we had a HUGE party of ~30 people) and they let us bring a birthday cake into the restaurant
Way too expensive for what you get. The food was ok, not spectacular for the prices. Portion sizes were good. Seating was limited reservations needed for sure. No drink menu. No dessert menu, desserts are in a see thru fridge. Very nice servers, but they were so busy so we had to ask for some things twice. Dinner came quickly, but again, wasnt anything special. Its on the marina side so all u see is boats. Not a great view to talk about. Wouldnt recommend unfortunately. If their prices were cut in half, it would be a great experience.
Excellent selection of fresh seafood. I came here with a group of 6 others and sat on the patio overlooking the marina. Will be back again soon!!
Katarina is AMAZING! I would come here again and again for her positive attitude and genuine care.
The only thing going for this restaurant is the location. Views are nice in the summer time, but it s just of the Marina. The food is quite expensive for what they give, and quality is subpar. I had the burger and it was just so dry. Other members of my dining party had the same sentiment. The waiters are nice but seem very understaffed.
Excellent food and patio
Awesome foods and great staffs beautiful place
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. My group of 10 guests all were raving about the lobster alfredo, lobster mac and lobster rolls. This is definitely a great spot right on the water. Would highly recommend
The service and food quality was very poor. Mustard and vinegar bottles were expired. When asked, they responded saying they refilled them. That is an absurd reason considering the food and services are ridiculously priced. Would not recommend at all.
Great seadfood and espectacular view.
The food is delicious made with fresh ingridients. The service is excellent, the staff are so friendly and corteous. The view is beautifull. The deck overlooks the marina. The prices are affordable. I highly recommend this place
Terrible food. Not impressed. Was like street vendors. No drinks menu. Staff took order and forgot 1 minute later. Very expensive for what you receive. Do not recommend.
Service was really great!
We went to Bluffers after visiting Scarborough for the first time and we loved it! I had the lobster Mac and cheese and my boyfriend had the halibut. Both were delicious and worth the price. It was the perfect seafood dinner by the water that we were craving on our vacation. Our waiter Patricia was very nice and timely. Thanks for a great date night!
I have to say that I am a major foodie and I run a cooking group with 14k people in it! I ve been to ALOT of different restaurants. Not only is the vibe fabulous, the view fabulous, the food wonderful, the owners and staff are FANTASTIC!!!! Hands on, involved and kind!!!! Make it your business to check this place out, you won t be sorry you did !!!!! Love, love, love it
Food was excellent. Service was great. Price is high but overall a great experience. Would go back for sure.
Quality of the food is good but they take long to serve
We didnt even get in the front door......3 of us went down on a Tuesday at mid day in the hopes of enjoying a drink & light bite on the patio. We were met with a sandwich board posted just outside the front door thar read: there is a minimum $20 per person in order to dine there. This is completely tacky & unprofessional. We quickly turned about & took ourselves over to Port Restaurant in Pickering where we were welcomed without condition onto their beautiful patio where we enjoyed amazing service & great food. Come on Bluffers......why is it taking soooo long to get this right?! Its such a beautiful location with SO much potential and Im repeatedly dissapointed with the quality & cost of the food. The decor is so underwhelming & dated its pitiful......& then you have the nerve to demand a minimum head charge on a Tuesday at noon??....who is running this place??
Reasonably good food. Excellent, friendly service. Nice to have a decent restaurant in the area instead of the usual fast food places. Vegetarian options: Veggie burger , veggie souvlaki.
nice view. food over priced. salad unpleasant taste. slow service. dissapointing.
This place is cute little hidden gem to the Scarborough bluffs. Well at least for me. The food is simple and sweet. Good portion size so you don t over eat with a beautiful view and great friendly fast service. Definitely will come again, next time with friend
Dinusha was amazing we really loved her
When I looked at the menu and saw the prices I thought it was going to be on the finer side of dining. The location is great and all the staff was very nice, however, we waited over 15 minutes after we were sat to be served. I could not believe the tacos when they arrived. Small pieces of fish in a taco with what looked like that coleslaw you buy in tubs at the grocery store. This dish was $27 plus tax. It was so bad my husband and I had to laugh. Do yourself a favour and come for the view and a drink and save your money for a better meal.
We called Sat at dinner time and didn t expect to get a table on the patio but Bobby was very accommodating and split up a table for us, really nice! Our server Tewolde was quick and kind. The chicken souvlaki was tender and the tiramisu must be tried, it s excellent! The view of the harbour was beautiful and very relaxing. We highly recommend Bluffer s Restaurant. Greg & Chen
Amazing place to hangout with friends or family. Their open tables are the best with the view aside. The staff is friendly and the food was good. Price is moderate with the quality food. Must try this place for a chill out weather. Must try the fries with their home style spinach cheese dip.
Right beside the marina, atmosphere is good, server was very friendly, however patio table was too small to put a big dishes, it was uncomfortable to enjoy the meal even limited space on table to struggling to find a spot for put utensils, it was keep fallen from the table. memory of keep organize the table ourselves than food.
With the insane prices on their menu you d expect the quality to be good but it was horrible. I get #justinflation but $50 for a steak that wasn t even cooked to your liking served with uncle ben s minute rice and 3 tiny shrimps on a skewer (when the restaurant has advertised it as giant shrimps). Almost forgot the thin slices of sadly grilled carrot masquerading as side of veg. Condiments were served in packets. I mean for a $15 kids meal of 2 chicken strips with some Costco fries you give 3 packets of Heinz ketchup. I laughed! We were also given dirty drinking glasses. I kid you not one of the glasses had a lip stain on it and another with disgusting water marks on it. The whole experience from the service to the food was abysmal. Definitely one of the worst restaurants I ve ever been to. Heads up: they automatically charge you an 18% gratuity for a party of more than 6 people. Mind you we were only 5 adults and 2 kids under 5.
We came here to have just an afternoon coffee. The view was nice and our server was polite. We didnt think much of the restaurant from first impression when we were not welcomed to have just coffee even though it was 4:30pm in between meal time. They maintain their $20 minimum charge per person. So we ordered dessert and wine instead. For the prices on the menu, I would expect a better experience than just the view. The glasses were dirty and cobwebs everywhere on the patio. I think Google should update the price point to $$$.
Went there for High school prom 4 times in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, it was great
Love it
Great service and amazing view we will back again!
The place to be delicious food & great service.
Service was good and food was great great views
We had a wedding there and restaurant and staff were wonderful.
Nice litle spot. More of a sandwich/bar food type of place. I guess the marina club members are their main clientele. Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs to go down. I didnt see any wheelchair access.
I d like to start by saying our waiter was wonderful, he was attentive, kind and very friendly with our child. In addition to the good service, the view was lovely thus the 2 stars. Upon arriving to Bluffers Restaurant, it was apparent this establishment has existed in Bluffers Park for many years. It is run down, the menu is blah and it is very obvious that ownership has zero interest in providing a quality dining experience. I ordered a veggie burger (nearly $20) and my husband ordered the fish and chips (nearly $30) as well as a can of beer. My burger came with a couple packets of ketchup, iceberg lettuce and a slice of tomato. His small piece of fish and chips had a mound of slaw on the side that was not made with vinegar or mayo but with miracle whip (tangy). The bill came to $75. My husband is currently laying down with a stomach ache that he attributes to the fish being either under prepared or past the expiry date. I would not recommend eating here, it is extremely overpriced, the food is terrible and the drink selection is weak. If you are hungry, go to the hot dog place by the water and enjoy the view from there. It s very disappointing that the only restaurant down by the water is so gross. I would love to enjoy a day at the beach and then head to a place with a nice view of the water from a fun patio for a nice (affordable) bite to eat and a local draft beer.
Food is good.
Its my birthday today so my boyfriend and I decided to have dinner in a romantic place, then I found here. They have indoor and outdoor table, we booked the patio which was so beautiful and quiet. We had lobster rolls and seafood linguine the food was pretty good and the service was outstanding both servers were very friendly and considered. Thank you, we really had a good time
I would give this place negative stars if i could! Such a TERRIBLE experience. Owner charged us a bunch of hidden fees and behaved like a child when we complained. They made up a bunch of fees at the end, including random pop charges. They also charged us a $5 cutting fee per person for a cake and for some $4 for a cake we brought and didnt telling us ahead of time. They did not cut it, and only put it in the fridge for us. If they told us beforehand, we wouldnt have taken it. Since we were a group of 6, the full cake cutting fee was $30. We suspect the owner was racist as we were the only poc in the restaurant at the time. They were understaffed and the owner did not take any ownership! He just wanted us to pay and leave. No respect at all!
Pretty good. Nice location in a floating house right at the marina, the food is alright. Therere not a whole lot of dining options at the Bluffers Park so if you want something fancier, youll end up here. Sit on the patio on a sunny day or in the rustic indoor dining room when it gets colder. Note it is not a gourmet restaurant, you do pay extra for location but it is fine for what it is.
The view here is very pretty; it was nice to sit out on the patio and have dinner. The food was good and our waiter was very friendly and conversational.
Beautiful location
I love this place I visited a few months ago I had to make sure to post this review. The food was phenomenal the view of the lake and boats were breathtaking and to top off our great experience the staff were friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the menu I definitely will recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for beautiful brunch spot. hopefully this gem stays on the up and up.
We were there for a wedding. The place needs a paint job and the food wasnt great.
5 stars as it s under new management and I ve sampled some of the new menu. Re-opens Dec 3rd! Come and check it out! New staff, new management, Great views!
Great location..friendly service...the steak leaves a LOTto be desired...
We had a wonderful time having dinner on the patio at Bluffers Restaurant on a hot summer evening. Our server Tewolde was very attentive and courteous, making our special birthday dinner even more special! The calamari and salmon were very fresh and tasty. Everyone really enjoyed the dinner and the whole experience. Thank you Tewolde for making our evening so wonderful!
Amazing views and service
Very tasty food, and excellent service Expensive, but worth it for the quality of the food and the mesmerizing view
Amazing service from Katarina!
5 stars definetly katarina was extremely accommodating and helpful went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable!
What a hidden gem! I had no idea there was such a fabulous restaurant right at the bluffs. The atmosphere and view over the marina is unparalleled and the service was outstanding. Thank you so much to our incredible server Patricia for going above and beyond, and for her excellent drink recommendations - the margarita and espresso martini were delicious! The jumbo shrimp fettuccine was incredible as well. All around an amazing experience! We can t wait to come back.
Four of us enjoyed our dinner immensely last week, August, 2021. The food was tasty but not stellar. The view and outdoor ambiance were the highlights, save for the service by Tewolde which was truly excellent. The prices were on the high side when the mains were coupled with an appetizer, coffee and dessert. Still, Id recommend to others.
Beautiful views, good food, EXCELLENT service
A beautiful and exquisite experience with outstanding customer service that made us feel like royalty having a late lunch on the water. I will definitely be back!
View of the marina. great, very friendly service, grilled octopus, a leg, $22.95 not bad price... My halibut tacos were good. a pleasant evening.
What an amazing food and view!!
Beautiful restaurant, great service and good food. Very clean. Definitely would come back. Im very ingredient sensitive and their scallop gnocchi was perfect. Say hello to Katrina she was amazing. Thank you for the great service. Would definitely come back.
Beautiful view of the marina and lake. Portion of salmon a little on the small side for a main. But very good and the scallops were as well. A very serene and scenic place to enjoy lunch or dinner.
Excellent service and food. Our server, Tewolde, was really accommodating with our needs. Would definitely recommend the restaurant.
We celebrated our mothers 100 birthday. Manager was gracious and accommodating. Food was great. Our server Katerina was exceptional. She was great with the kids, patient and very personable. I have never received such great service at any restaurant. Thanks!
Fresh Halibut flown in the day prior and it was delectable. Service was impeccable and the Caesars were fanstatic, yes plural. Cant wait for another experience there. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Best place to spend a summer afternoon. Food was incredible, matched by the service and the view. Such a great experience overall. Highly recommend!
AMAZING food!!! The calamari, the coconut shrimp, Lobster rolls, salmon = all incredible. The staff were sooo welcoming and friendly. The owner is a wonderful human too and we were so happy to spend our Saturday afternoon there. Highly recommend for any family outing, friends gathering or even a romantic date!!
Loved it, would recommend and will definitely go back!
It was our first time eating at this restaurant, our lovely server Katerina was very attentive and pleasant. Food was delicious and the gorgeous views is an added bonus! Will definitely be back.
Beautiful location and good service but the food was a bit disappointing.
We had a great dinner at Bluffers Restaurant. There was no wait, service was fast and the food is delicious. I really like how the patio is elevated so you get a great view of the lake and the sunset. A BIG thank you to our waitress Patricia, who not only provided excellent service.. but was also a hero for removing a spider underneath the table. I am arachnophobic, so it was very helpful to have that additional support from her which made my time there all the more enjoyable. Thank you Patricia! We will certainly be back.
The service was poor. The seats were uncomfortable. The prices were outrageous. Will not come back
I recently had lunch at Bluffers and couldnt say enough about it! A patio overlooking the lake, fantastic service and even better food; it made for a great afternoon. The steak (steak frites) was cooked perfect and the Calamari was awesome. I will definitely be back!
What an absolute Gem of a restaurant tucked away in the heart of Bluffers Park Marina. Purely random that I found it and my only disappointment was I didnt find it sooner. The view and ambiance are exactly what youd find in the middle of cottage country yet its 20 minutes outside of downtown. Bobby the man of many hats was gracious enough to give us a tour after a fantastic dinner and we were blown away that wed never heard of it. If youre looking to have a celebration of any kind at a place with good food and tonnes of character look no further. Bobby is the perfect captain for the ship and Im certainly looking forward to bringing more people over. Well done.
Great vibe, great view and great food! Stopped by the other day as a friend said I needed to check this place out and Im glad they did. The lobster roll was great. Next time Im on this side of Toronto again Ill be visiting!
Great food
The chicken souvlaki was delicious, and Dinusha was a wonderful server! So pleasant and cheerful, as well as being efficient and attentive to my queries.
Friendly service. Great views and patio. Food was great
It is a unique place and very good food
First time visiting Bluffer s Restaurant and certainly won t be the last. Katarina was *THE BEST* . She was very personable, attentive and quick to recommend outstanding dishes. Although I am vegan, I was pleased to hear everything is fresh and not frozen I emailed the restaurant a week in advance to ensure something could be prepared for me and I received a response within 24 hours. Talk about great customer service! Although the dish was pretty basic it was spectacular and loaded with veggies. Restaurant itself was extremely clean and all staff followed covid19 guidelines. Next time I think we will sit outside so we can enjoy that gorgeous view. Thank you for a wonderful evening Katarina + staff.
This was my first time here and I had such a lovely dinner during a beautiful and chill evening. Shout out to my server Katerina for giving such a lovely experience and being so accommodating. In terms of food (Unfortunately, there are no photos for the food), my friend and I shared the Spinach and Artichoke Dip which was sublime. The dip had melted cheddar on top which makes me want to go back. I had the Lobster Mac N Cheese and my friend had the Scallops, shrimp, and potatoes. I took a photo of the view and that s all I wanted to do.
What a view!
Ambience is nice. The service could be improved
Close to the Bluffers beach with outdoor seating and a nice view of a small harbor. Good place for a fish n chips. Plenty of parking available and can validate the ticket to park for free.
