Their weekend breakfast (halva puri) is a must try! You can find tava parathas, tandoori parathas and tandoori roti on their secret menu. Just ask for it.

Very awesome place for halal food. Basically all iteams are good with reasonable prices. Highly recommend for Halal food.

The tandoori chicken was very stale and not edible. The vegetable samosas were absolutely terrible, super mushy and extremely oily.

Desi taste has the best taste of India and Pakistan quisine. With the most exquisite taste of their food , quality stands and its highest. I ordered the chicken Karahi. Best karahi I ve ever tasted Also their butter naan. So fluffy and buttery like your biting in a cloud. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

This place is a hidden gem. You could drive right by and miss it. Its worth checking out if youre in the neighbourhood. You can get amazing takeout for under $15. Everything is good, but the best is always the daily specials. Usually lamb palao or biryani, and sometimes tandoori with salad and paan. Absolutely great value and taste.

Desi Taste - excellent place to enjoy real and distinctive taste of Pakistani style food. I have tried Biryani from so many other restaurants but no one can beat their Chicken Biryani. They also serve Veal Biryani and Veal Pulao, which have amazing taste as well. I have tried their Haleem with fresh tandoori Nans, and without doubt, you want to have it again and again. Fresh sesame Nans, coupled with their freshly cooked aroma will have a permanent engraving of Unforgettable taste in your mind. All I can say .. give it a shot and believe me, you wont be disappointed. I have referred this place to so many people and everyone loved this place and are permanent customers now. This place used to be amazing and now it has the worst service possible. They gave me the wrong order TWICE on DoorDash and when I called to ensure they send the appropriate sides they assured me they would and then proceeded to not include it in my order. Don t waste your money.

Catered for a big family dinner from here and I have never in my life received such terrible food, it is a health concern as they do not know how to cook chicken. The chicken tandoori was completely raw and the chicken biryani was undercooked. My family couldn t eat any of the chicken as it was not edible. Called them back to give them an opportunity make it right and rectify the situation but they took no accountability and instead tried to blame us for the issues with the food saying that just because you don t like the taste doesn t mean you get compensated. We explained kindly and calmly that it s not about taste it s about a health concern and undercooked. We had big party and we had to order food from a different restaurant so that our guests could eat which was very embarrassing. I am shocked that a business would spend 30 minutes on the phone blaming us for their raw and undercooked food and saying the most they ll do is next time we order from them they ll throw in a couple extra pieces of chicken for free. This isn t the first time they undercooked our chicken, hence why we called 3 times to ensure it was extra well done (you really shouldn t even have to say well done for chicken). DO NOT eat from here. The food is a health concern and the owners do not take accountability or show any care.

I catered food from this restaurant yesterday and we had a HORRIBLE experience. DO NOT order food from Desi Taste. Every piece of tandoori CHICKEN was UNDERCOOKED/ RAW. This was a major health concern. The Chicken Biryani was also UNDERCOOKED/ RAW. The rice was not cooked thoroughly and each grain was hard. It simply tasted bad. One by one, all of my guests were discreetly throwing their uneaten food in the trashcan. It was so EMBARRASSING. As the hosts of the party, we had to order food from another restaurant at the last minute to accommodate the uncooked dishes and hungry guests. The worst part of this experience aside from the health risks and embarrassment of hosting a big party with hungry guests from overseas was that after calling the owners and speaking to them sincerely about the issues with those two huge dishes and kindly requesting for some compensation, they were very DISMISSIVE and stern about not giving even $1 back for the raw meat they provided. They had me on the phone for over 40 minutes BLAMING ME, asking, why didn t I check the state of the inside of the chicken from the store? Why didn t I notice that the rice would taste hard? . This was very unfortunate because I wanted to give them a chance to rectify their mistake but instead they were RUDE, DISMISSIVE and offered NO SOLUTION. I offered to drive 25 mins to them and bring back all the meat just to show them that when you open it, each of them were raw, and they said sure you can do that but we still aren t giving you anything for it . I hate writing bad reviews but this matter is serious. I strongly advise you and your loved ones, DO NOT BUY food from here. You will be very DISAPPOINTED, have INEDIBLE food, and left with FOOD POISONING.

Tried their chicken biryani twice. Its close to Karachis taste standards which is nice. Service is quick and you can get out within 5 minutes. They only accept debit cards, though.

Very Bad customer service . We drove half an hour to reach there and found out that someone else took the order away . It seems that they occasionally take orders and do not serve the customers.

We were told the food here is mild, by the staff or owners. That is not the case here. Its a small shop type of restaurant. There is not much parking. This place is for spice lovers only! These people have no idea of what mild spice is. There food was so spicy, I could not eat more than two bites. The food here is not cheap, the amount of butter chicken I got was a joke. The size of the container, was that of a side dish!!! They still charged full price. The Butter Chicken Factory, blows this place out of the water. Because of the amount of food served for the price, I would not recommend this place. The naans were fresh, but everywhere has fresh naans. I have had tastier naans else where!

Their chicken tikka naan roll was full of stale lettuce and rotten tomatoes. I am not ordering anything from this place anymore.

I have ordered here couple of times for kids birthday. I would highly recommend this place everyone to get quality and tasty Asian food with love and care. Apart from food the main thing in this restaurant is treating customer with high respect because they know customers are king for business.

It is literally so oily you can see the reflection of my TV in it. I had a discount on Uber and if I had paid full price for this I would be absolutely furious. Almost no meat inside the dishes, just a bath of oily which is unfortunate because the flavor isnt actually horrible. Was really hoping to enjoy a nice dinner but thats out the window. I understand some oil and seperation is normal and welcome but come on...

I like that this restaurant is pocket friendly, I usually take the chicken biryani and tandoori chicken. The take out is quick and efficient, but then owner is rude specially with their staff which is a turn off for me. Everything else is great food is yummy and staff is welcoming.

The food here is great and I have been back several times. The staff are very friendly and helpful in explaining what they have on their menu. They even let me sample some of the food if I did not know what it was. This is a great place to order Pakistani and Indian food.

Visited during the lunch hours and they were serving Sunday special Veal Biryani and I actually loved it! NOT OILY at all. Staff Uzma was very helpful and offered a chhaas! They also have kheer, gajar halwa(carrots burfi) which I have not tried but looked good. Will come back again.

My favourite biryani in the city! The things stopping me from giving it 5* is the price has been creeping up the past couple of years and they are quite stingy with the quantity of chicken compared to other biryani places (silver spoon). This place is quite literally a hole in the wall so don t expect it to look very fancy/clean. Recently the lady helping me didn t seem to friendly but I m hoping that s a one off. I heard they underwent ownership changes in the past year but luckily the flavour of biryani has remained

This place serve Pakistani style cuisine. Well known for delicious Balti Ghost (beef). The owner is Javed, an excellent person. I had been buying from him for over 20 years. Offer party package at fair price. Food is top quality and plenty in quantity. Highly recommend this place.

I prefer this chicken biryani over any other. Its not spicy. Its so flavorful. Haleem and tandoori chicken is also great. Eggplant potato veggie dish is good one too. I get catering from here for the small events at home.

Price meet with quality. Ive tried all items and all taste like home made specially nan and the only unusual thing is ,if u order qeema u never know what comes with qeema :D sometime they deliver aalu qeema some time matar qeema but taste best everytime.i think thats enough for today :D

Its a tiny shop but Desi taste s biryani when i tried first it was sooo yummmm!!! And then i tried agian and after that i tried everything like butter chicken and achari chicken and kheer! So good! Quality and quantity remained same! Really recommened this place

Being a global traveler, I always check the reviews on Google before trying out restaurants or food outlets. Seeing some good reviews particularly, their Chicken Biriyani, I and my daughter today tried it. And I dont regret that we tried it. It was superbly cooked and sumptuous. Currently they are only offering takeout. Probably the best Chicken Biriyani in GTA. Keep it up Desi Taste.

You need to avoid this place. The hygiene is so horrendous im not sure how its still open. You can see from entering its not the cleanest place, but for some reason I still trusted it on someones recommendation and ate there quite a number of times. The one good thing was the seasoning was always spread evenly and tasted decent till we noticed a beetle like insect in the food flatened between the rice. Not just one but two in one container of biryani. I threw out that container, mine, and two others I bought for later within 2 minutes. Didnt check the other containers they were all from the same batch, so I just chucked them(should have). They dont use gloves and dont wash their hands after touching none food items like the register or money. One thing I always look for is how a restaurant handles food. This place is one of the worst. Top it off they leave the door open and pigeons are just walking around in there. How this place hasnt shut down for health concerns Im not sure. I will say this happened in the summer of 2018, and I had totally forgot about this place, but I doubt anything changed(writing may 2019)

Its a small place... a nice take out place...food was out under the display. So wasnt really warm/hot but it was take out so not a big deal warmed it up for myself at home. I ordered Paya. Nihari. Beef Kebab. Biryani. 4 Naans. Balti gosht and Haleem. Bill came out to approximately $50.00.... the food taste was as follows: paya was almost frozen like but when warmed up and it was tasty! Biryani smelt amazing... but tasted subpar with a grainy/sandy crunch... Ordered beef kebabs got chicken kebabs... they were okay. I personally dont like chicken kebabs so it was kind of a disappointment. Haleem was too salty... balti gosht was pretty tasty... my favourite actually... naans were fresh also tasty....The place was okay clean. My order didnt take too long as they just placed everything in containers and made frsh naan and kebabs as per my request... there was some seating area but it is extremely informal. Would do take out again for the food I liked.
