Very humble lady. God bless her.
HIT OR MISS RESTAURANT! First 2 times food was okay after that all I was getting is rotten coleslaw, now if you know the coleslaw isn’t fresh then DON’T SERVE IT… are you guys that buttu? Also why do you guys keep serving me clumpy rice, this is like the 5th time and the rice is always clumpy.. and they’re very stingy with the chicken portions… 9.99 plus tax for a small jerk chicken dinner to end up getting half of a small chicken thigh 🤦🏽♀️. Medium jerk chicken is 14.00 to end up getting a small thigh and another half piece of a small thigh. do better, then you wouldn’t have to close early all the time because it’s slow… these are some of the reasons why business is slow. Be fair to your customers but I know that’ll never happen so I will not be coming back. Also, you’re suppose to rinse off the noodles so that the starch isn’t being served in the pasta. Rinse off the noodles in cold water vigorously to make sure the noodle are in good condition to serve to your customers.
Honestly probably one of the best patties I ever had and I have had a lot. Service is great and atmosphere is nice too but the food is the best thing. I only have had the patties. Goat and a beef are great.
Such a great jerk spot!! The food is freshly made and you can tell there is a lot of love behind every meal. Most jerk places over-do the spice level, I am from the Caribbean but like to taste the food too haha. This was perfected seasoning and cooking the flavour profile was strong with a little kick but not overwhelming. Best jerk spot in Scarborough which says a lot because there are a lot of good spots!
We were just near the dog park one evening when we tumble upon this small little Jamaican Food Place. It is definitely a hidden gem that we will surely come back for take out. The food was amazingly delicious! We ordered the goat curry which tasted so so so yummy! The oxtail was good but could taste even better with a little more flavor. The jerk chicken was nice and juicy, perfectly grilled and not burnt. The staff was helpful and friendly. There are just 2 or 3 tables indoor and I believe there might be a few more tables at the patio. So, dine in is probably better during summer or if you want a quick bite. I'll be sure to come back when I crave for Jamaican food. We enjoyed the food so much that we forgot to take pictures before eating so the pictures are of the left over..
My friend was going on and on about the food at Kulture so I got a chance to try it out as I entered the smell was very appealing. I ordered an oxtail and and the soup of the day which was red peas I truly enjoyed every bite I will be definitely be back Oops forget about the friendly welcome we received from Germaine.
Great oxtail. Nice and soft, red peas soup is nice.
Got the oxtail meal with rice and peas along with coleslaw. Also got a side order of jerk chicken. All the food was fresh and flavours were perfect. I recommend getting their hot sauce on the side it’s a perfect compliment. Quickly becoming my goto jerk spot in Scarborough.
best jerk chicken in the city
They captured the island flavor for great tasting food and friendly service
Good one
Chicken hella dry
I went their bought ackee and saltfish with provisions it was bare ackee no saltfish I am disappointed
Expensive, bland and small portions, a horrible combo one should avoid at all costs
Friendly staff, great food, great price and the house made pepper sauce is excellent.
One of the best Jamaican restaurant in Scarborough.. food and customer service was amazing.. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are also available for ppl who don t eat meat. Parking: Location is a bit low key but easy access parking Kid-friendliness: Kids friendly as I noticed there s a school across from store
Had the jerk sandwich , flavor is good but the portion sucks for the cost . all bread. nothing really inside. even coleslaw was sparing....
The food is good and tasty but not enough meat given for the cost. Jerk chicken sandwich lacking in chicken itself.
Amazing food, great portions, definitely worth every penny!!!
Everything about that place was perfect
Ordered oxtail with Rice and Peas. It was extremely delicious, the food had a great flavour and the oxtail was nice and tender. would definitely be ordering from here again
Extremely rude staffs !! Cant even handle customers.
I was working up the street just this past month and visited here for lunch often. This is the best jamaican food in the GTA in my opinion
Omg amazing the best Jamaican food in the area! I had jerk chicken, oxtail and ackee & salt fish. Literally to die for!
Beautiful smiles as you enter. Friendly environment. Clean with yummy food.
Im not sure if anyone else does this, but when I travel away, I enjoy experiencing different foods than I can get back home. We had been in Toronto for a week, and unlike our last journey into Canada, there are so many options for food that it is mind boggling to choose something. So here we are, on our last night, and I decided I wanted to have some Jerk Chicken, and then added on some Brown Chicken Stew, which didnt sound that great, but I needed a nonspicey option for the rest of the fam. Like a lot of cultural food in the area, this is not fast food (thank you Jesus), and you need to allow time to wait for some items. The Brown Chicken Stew had a wonderful flavor that was just...comforting, and the Jerk Chicken gave your taste buds a kick. As an impulse buy I purchased a couple small meat pies (I think that is what they were called). What a great extra purchase! Super flaky, great flavor! Both chicken dishes were very juicy, and the fact that I am spending a couple moments on my last night of vacation to write my first food review of the trip is a testimony to how much I think it is worth going a little off the beaten path of 5-food-shops-in-every-strip-mall to check this place out. I cant pretend Im an expert in Caribbean foods, but the flavor and juicy meats here stood out on this trip, though I must say I have met with some awesome food workers this last week, Food Culture included.
Its been 2 years since I ate from Food Kulture. This past weekend I ordered some food and my stomach was full and I was satisfied. Long time ago I would walk in and get ackee and callaloo with boil dumplin but I did Uber eats and got ackee and saltfish with boil dumplin and mi swear seh mi did a guh bawl eye wata lol haha... Still tastes the same. Its fresh and its delicious. Nuff respect to Food Kulture. - Leon aka Judah
Great food. Great portions
Food was really tasty, great takeout spot
Jerk chicken was delicious and tender. Portions were good. Highly recommend!
Fresh cocobuns and alfredo was good
Their homemade patties are to die for
Incredible
Its ight I guess
The jerk chicken meal was tasty and the portion was generous. Would recommend if you are in the area.
Super friendly staff and amazing food, had the jerk chicken sandwich on coco bread, jerk chicken poutine, spicy beef patties and plantains. Everything was exceptional in taste and quality. Would reccomend.
Really good curried goat and plantains
Excellent as always!
Great food and clean environment
Food is authentically Jamaican and very delicious. Only negative is you will have a long wait.
i ordered a goat curry, oxtail, and jerk chicken with rice its my first time ordering here it was given a 8.4 rating so i thought heck why not try it out first off i asked for extra pepper sauce i was given two containers of one teaspoon of pepper sauce the oxtail smelled exactly like red peas soup it did not look appealing what so ever and didnt taste well either the goat curry was pretty salty and the jerk chicken was very dry. it will for sure be my last time ordering from them.
One of the best pasta in the area
Food took over 20 minutes to be brought out... whole time you can hear a microwave going off... I tried asking for refund and was told the food is ready...in a haste I left without looking, got to my car and I was correct, Sunday-Monday food, both the jerk and curry chicken w rice and peas were microwaved... dry, cold, little flavor... rice was mushy. If you like being over charged for microwave meals thats the only way I could recommend! I get it times are tough, people have to be cheap with product but there was NO excuse for that... all the plantain seemed day old or from the morning.
Well Flavoured & Delicious.
God
good memories and amazing food
Authentic food! Great service!
Great food and good service.
beef and goat patties are bomb
very good staff ! very polite and hard working ! try their jerk chicken sandwich as it is very good !
First time eating here and it definitely wont be the last. Ordered the jerk chicken poutine, shrimp Alfredo and spicy beef patty - yummy in the tummy! The staff were also very friendly and made the experience a very pleasant one
Tried the jerk Chicken, very tasty and tender. I will be visiting again.
Great local food wonderful service
Great local food place .
Good oxtail but let the people know you guys use basmati rice for the rice and peas and use likkle more peas please
Nice people but food and patties are microwaved. The patty is soggy and the microwaved food doesnt taste fresh.
Amazing Carribean food prepared fresh daily. There Jerk Chicken and Fish sandwich on a Coco bun with all the toppings is to die for. The regular Carribean fare such as Oxtail, Jerk and Curried Goat and Chicken is a pleasure to behold. Very flavourful and tender meat cooked just right and the rice is always on point. Look no further if you have a desire for exceptional Carribean food at reasonable prices. The service and atomosphere is welcoming. The owner attends to you and oversees the whole operation. So the the food quality and service is always consistent. And if there would ever be any issues Food Kulture would always make it right for you. I have always enjoyed my experience at Food Kulture wether dining in or grabbing some freshly prepared take out. I am positive your experience would be much the same.
Curry chicken with rice and peas!
The space is brand new and needs a little more time to prove themselves. Looking forward to returning.
I had the curry chicken and it was delicious! I will definitely be returning and look forward to trying everything on the menu.
I Had the fish sandwich and it was amazing also had the jerk chicken/rice and peas which was cooked to perfection and to top it all off the service was great this is a must if you are ever in the area or if you really want good fresh food you wont be disappointed at all!
This place is a Mom and Son shop, and they never disappoint. I work nearby, and whenever I m in the mood for some Caribbean food I have to go here. Their portions are much larger than other restaurants like Ritz or Sunrise, and at much more reasonable prices. The food always tastes great and their customer service is always warm and welcoming. The service is not as fast as some of the larger scale restaurants, but that s only because they re smaller in size. This place is a must try. Do yourself a favour and check it out.
Had it for the first time today and it was delicious! I got the salt fish, callaloo (small) with coleslaw and plantain. Very affordable and close to home!
They catered for a parent interview night! We ordered the jerk chicken sandwiches. They delivered everything on time and it was YUMMY!!!! It was very well received by the community
I ordered the Jerk Chicken for the first time today while I was working in the area. Friendly customer service and great food. I will definitely be back.
The food that they sell is good food. The people who work here are so great. They are so nice towards to customers.
Great food, great service, great people
After visiting for the first time, I knew that I would be right back... amazing everything!
Oxtail is amazing!
I hosted a private event here and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Food was great and my guest had a amazing time. It nice to find a community restaurant that has such tasty food.
Food is always delicious and everyone that works there is so nice. My brother and I live just down the street and we always find ourselves back here ordering their food! The jerk chicken with rice and peas as well as the fried basa are our favourites.
Great food
Great place, excellent food
The patties were amazing. I loved the curry goat! We came here from New Jersey and it really reminds us of Jamaican food back home.
Really yummy but we dont get to eat here often enough because it closes so early. Would love to see it open later so we can get dinner.
Friendly good food. Try the ox tail.
