One of Toronto's ultimate hidden gems! Amazing food, the beef ribs are incredible and the people are super friendly!!
The food is so delicious, mainly a take out resturant. Authentic East African-Indian style food. So amazingly tasty.
Good products that reminded me of home, but overpriced.
The best east African restaurant in town. The staff is very friendly and goes out of the way to prepare customized dishes. The food is very delicious and at a good rate. They have a variety of options in the menu to select from. I would strongly recommend this restaurant. Go for it.
This very discreet very low key restaurant has the BEST East African Indian food I've tried anywhere!! The flavours are perfectly blended across a wide range of dishes which was very impressive and earned a 5 star review my first visit (which I rarely do). Also a nice bonus is the owner is very friendly and hospitable...! Will be back regularly. Pro tip: order in advance for larger items / ribs to avoid a wait.
Very nice food most of the items taste like they are from african country ... i wish there had a place to sit and eat but it is a take out resturant .
The chicken piri piri chicken breast was absolutely delicious but extremely pricey; nearly $30 for a platter of food. You definitely need to order ahead to avoid waiting. The fries were the highlight. We’ll spiced and generously portioned. The chicken was tasty, but a bit dry, as was the beef. I really loved the sauce that was provided. It’s the perfect sweet and sour compliment to everything.
The chicken peri peri breast was very tender. Enjoyed the BBQ beef ribs. The fries were nicely spiced.
Absolutely DELICIOUSO!
Nice stuff to go items only Good food for all Food
Not fresh not great
Not worth the money. Taste and food presentation isnt good.
lol popppp
Excellent service and amazing food.
Been here many times. Consistently delicious. Highly recommend the ribs, mogo and biryani.. Vegetarian options: Plenty of delicious vegetarian options
Very bad quality food. Taste way below par
Iqbal and Tazeem do an excellent job in their food preparation. Outstanding customer service with very tasty East African dishes for takeout. I always order my food from them when I am having guests at home. The beef biryani and beef samosas were excellent.
Only bad reviews so far is one karen complaining about how she had to ring the bell for them to come out. And one white person saying its too spicy.
Over charge
Best ribs in the city
Not happy the service and the quality of foof
Small place for take out only. Order while on the road and when we got there food was ready. Had Zanzibar mix, kebabs and nylon Bhatia. The food was quite tasty and priced about the same as any other Indian restaurant.
Went down memory lane with the authentic delicious East African food.
Quality ingredients and taste fair prices always go there love the place
Place is busy. It s a family run business so you expect some behind the scenes scenarios. Not real order tracking statement in place when you order it. It s your word against theirs. Good idea to keep a note of the time and date you ordered your food and the name of who took your order otherwise you can be turned away ann s next thing you know you are forced to serve your guests pizza instead of Indian African menu. It happen to me once but that was only once in last 100 times I have ordered so I have learnt to take as much as information from the person taking my order. What I don t like and would like them to changed in their practice is the greed. You charge $15 in an average for a dish and things like samosas and kababs could be $24 dozen and some meat champs can be as much as $36 dozen cash no credit card facility and you charge extra if we want a little extra chutney. Now you get sorry little plastic container for 2 samosa and the same amount of chutney if you buy a dozen that s not fair. Please work on that. And we know you are not paying taxes that you are owed. You don t want CRA knocking your doors because you pissed someone off a container of chutney. It s not worth the pain. Trust me uncle.
The best chicken in town!
Bit pricey this time, however, food is tasty, good.
Always good food and great service
Good selection of East African food. Place orders 30min in advance to avoid waiting. This is a small walk in place only. There is no seating place. However the food is amazing amd worth the wait. Parking: Located in a very busy plaza. Parking is available and free.
Takeout only but good barbecue ribs, chicken kebabs and lot more.
Good food
Great food and really nice owner and staff. The portions, price, and food quality are all excellent, highly recommend giving this place a try for take out.
Have been ordering on line and the service and the food is excellent
Its a good place to eat at an affordable price.
Best East African snacks in Scarborough.
Service a bit slow but the beef ribs and spicy fries were tasty. Friendly service but be prepared to wait for a bit for your meal.
Friendly service and great food, African style ... Just like back home!
Amazing food, service and people!
Always fresh and service are ever so nice and cooperative. We highly recommend Jikoni Grill!
Indian East African classic cuisine. All halal. Take Out only. Open hours are a bit short.
Excellent East African food Great service
Good and tasty Zanzibari mix but it had no frills lays chips instead of cassava chips (Mogo)
Great foods. I love the grill plate for $34. Feeds 2.
The East African food here is amazing! The ribs are too die for..
Went there for kabab, samosa and mogo. Amazing east African food
The menu looks amazing! Please open Jikoni grill in Los Angeles!! We are waiting!
Disappointed with the customer service. Staff dont even come out of the kitchen unless you call them with the bell on the counter, even if they saw you standing in the front. Now when they come out, No basic manners of saying a Hi or Hello.. No smile on their face and they look like they got annoyed of us!! Not a place that I would recommend to others
It is amazing food like how mom makes it took me back in my childhood thanks
great food
This place sells typical and good variety of East African fried snacks, and the taste is very good. Their prices are good and the service is excellent.
I am also one of those people who cannot eat spicy food but their samosa were VERY mild and delicious. I wish they could mail these to California - I would feel like I have died and gone to heaven. Customs allows cooked meat to be sent to the US. Please let me know if you can mail your samosas to California.
Great food. Fast service. Ideal for takeaways.
Manager was superb.
Samosas on point with flavour and of course the perfect crunch. The Jikoni kebab wrap is a perfect amount of food for lunch - worth the visit and I WILL be going back again without a doubt!
Delicious snacks
Apparently since the owners children can eat spicy food, so should everyone else. Came here asking for my beef kabobs to be mild, since I cant eat spicy food. On the phone, he was all nice and said he can make it whatever way wed like. After getting my food, I couldnt eat it at all and when I called to complain that was the response he had to me. I spent $80 for everything. I wont be eating there anymore due to that mans lack of Customer Service and disrespect to his customers. If your children can eat spicy then thats fine, cook for your children, dont run a public restaurant.
The ribs are straight banger ! One of the hidden gems in the city for ribs. Note : Take-out only.
Tasty, consistency, reasonably priced
Tried it out and was excellent.
Great food. Service is a little slow but the great tasting food makes up for it.
Very good service and tasty food
Awesome food!
