Hakka/Chinese Restaurant great for family gatherings and business events. We also do catering for big parties as well. If you enjoy flavourful foods and many kinds of exotic spices this is the place for you.
I went here with my partner since she liked the food the first time she went in there. I agree that the food was good and the staff is helpful as well. The only concern that I had is the place when we went there was dirty and i don’t mind tipping but it has 12% charged already and then they are gonna ask for more tip.
I tried this restaurant for the first time and we ordered: Fried Rice, Bombay Chicken, Chili Chicken, Lollipop Chicken, Vegetables and Fried Fish. Everything was super tasty, fresh, and fried perfectly. I would definitely go back there again. The service was fantastic and I really liked the warm atmosphere.
Used to be great. Always busy, people of every ethnicity eating there. Cops would eat there (always a sign of good food at a good price). Last time I went, ordered shrimp with vermicelli. No sauce. No spices. Nothing. Plain noodles with six tiny shrimps the size of a loony hidden inside. For 14 bucks. And the formerly packed dining room was empty. I used to spend $80 here once a month. I will never return.
Delicious foods served over there. We ordered chicken corn soup, Bombay chicken, garlic beef gravy sizzling. Bombay chicken was so soft and delicious. It was the best Bombay chicken we had. Was not too spicy, inside the chicken was soft, it was really delicious. Sizzler beef dish was presented nicely on the table. It was really enjoyable both to see and eat.It was a lovely experience.
It's one of my favorite spots for hakka. It's Thailand, Caribbean, and hong flavors in one.I ordered the Hakka Dinner for 2. Decent priced. We got two vegetable spring rolls, chili chicken, szechuan chicken, chicken fried rice, two pops, and fortune cookies for $44.01. We even got leftovers for tomorrow lunches. I do love the pad thai and hot and sour soup. Delicious.
I can never eat here again. Sucks cause I really enjoyed this place over the years
This hakka style Chinese restaurant offers a variety of food options. The teste of the food is not super delicious, but certainly will not disappoint. We liked the hot and sour soup the most. The spicy garlic chicken was too salty. But they immediately replaced the dish once notified. The service was quick and pleasant, and they have a welcoming atmosphere.
If for anything I’d go back to have just the Crispy Fried Fish only. The service was quick and the waiting staff were very friendly. Most of the food we ordered lacked flavour other than the Crispy fried fish. Food was reasonably priced and portion size was very generous. The items we ordered were: - Hot and Sour Soup - Prawn wonton - Special fried rice - Special Hakka noodles - Garlic and pepper sizzling beef - Crispy fried fish
Delicious Hot and Sour soup. I am very picky with this soup and they make it the way I like which for me is very hard to find.
Best place for Hakka in Scarborough.
Food is average but i dont understand the 12 % service charges plus if you pay on machine you still see tip section...
Best chinese food. All the dishes were 10/10. Vegetarian options: We had Manchurian, veggie noodles and paneer Food : 5/5 |
The best Hakka food Ive had in my life. The fried dishes were sooo crispy and flavourful and the fried rice had very good wok air. Staff was so friendly, one of them told us she was a barista at Starbucks and this restaurant for over 5 years and made us a drink herself! Food
They have the best chicken wonton soup that I have had in a long time.
I got tofu in black bean sauce and asked for more tofu in it, but there was hardly half a block of it in there. I mean, for 16$, is expecting at least a block of tofu too much?
Wow food is so good. Stephy is so amazing.
Food is mostly good. Prep time is fast. Portions are small-ish and the prices are on the higher end for Hakka. However, the highlight has to be the lady at the front counter. Youll never meet another person who is as disinterested in their job. Sometimes I choose to order somewhere else simply because I do not want the rest of my day to be ruined by her vibe. They could cure cancer tomorrow or give her a billion dollars but a smile would still not sprout on her face. Every time I talk to her, whether on the phone or in person, it feels like shes silently cursing me for bothering her with this. Its just not me and its not a race thing either, Ive seen her be exactly this unpleasant to everyone Ive seen her interact with. I feel like the authorities should really look into this establishment. It would not surprise me if shes a victim of human trafficking.
I ordered take out with 23 different meals. The quality has gone really bad consistently with them. Not sure what s happening as this was the best budget friendly halal chinese options. Nver ordering again
Thanks Vicky. Thai Mango dry chili chicken with veg fried rice lunch special was DELICIOUS Food
Most of the food Ive ordered has been pretty good but the chicken wings specifically could be better. There is too much breading and barely any meat.
Just under $32 for: 10 pc chicken pakoras and a small container(serves 2) of dry Singapore rice noodles with 8-9 small pieces of very dried out beef. The dog wouldn t even eat the beef. Pakora was good. Their price vs the portions size is outrageous. You think for $32 they could have at least given us some rice. These types of places aren t known for their friendly service, but you could at least smile and make eye contact as you re ripping me off. Just to be fair they did provide a plastic fork and spoon(?), 2 tiny napkins and 2 soy sauce packets . for ? maybe The rice I didn t get.
My go to place always 10+ years My Favs are sweet and sour chicken, sweet and sour shrimp, shrimp fried rice and Lemmon chicken plus veggie spring rolls. Food
This is one of my favorite restaurants for take out or dine in. They have many lunch specials to choose from. I recommend Thai curry chicken with vegetables. Beef broccoli with steam rice is good too, and others . Dining area is clean and welcoming . Also, staff are friendly and nice.
This stores food and customer service is okay. I bought dinner from this place for my family and while we were eating, suddenly my daughter screamed. In her chicken, there was something hard, very very sharp. Luckily, she didn t eat it but still this restaurant needs to follow proper procedure. They should check the food before giving it to customers.
I ordered manchurian chicken noodle from this place. One of the worst I have ever had.
Today I was there with my friend for lunch and A Chinese lady in the front with a terrible attitude didnt know how to talk or behave with the customers, spent 60 dollars there for lunch and still she didnt let me and my friend eat our food in the restaurant because they had to clean the plates probably, I have been eating there since 2017 and never had this type of experience, I told her to make the noodles spicy but when I came home and checked it was all dry no spice nothing like before, never ever going back there, I wish I could give 0 star
I ordered take out. Food is good. Priced okay.
I like it. Its one of my go-to spots.
I ordered menu with fish for take out twice. When I came home I found out its was chicken or more chicken mixed with 1small piece of fish.
This is my go to for Guyanese style fried rice. They never disappoint
Nice place with good food. The portion size is huge. I always to this place with family.
We ordered bombay chicken and fried rice. The bombay chicken was just refried and given to us. When we told about the same to the employee working there she just ignored. Neither was she welcoming nor did she understand our concern. Even the fried rice was okayish. I paid 50$ for nothing!
WORST!!WORST!!WORST DO NOT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT IF I WOULD BE GIVEN AN OPTION I WOULD RATE Negative 10 to this restaurant WORST FOOD WORST SERVICE THEY STORE THE FOOD FOR DAYS AND THEY JUST WARM IT UP AND SERVE IT TO YOU To the owner: Are you even worried about your sales? Service? Orders? None of your employees have any idea about hospitality
I ordered Bombay Chicken on Singapore Noodles. You can tell the chicken is not fresh, half of it is so hard its inedible, dry and definitely reheated. I went here a few times years ago and the food was fine, but this is the worst experience Ive had at a Hakka Restaurant.
Best food Singapour noodles at this restaurant
Not sure if the cook has changed. Food seems more bland, considering the most of my orders are repetitive
Approximately .
Great little spot. Came through based on where I was, and glad I stopped. Hakka spots are judged by chili chicken in my opinion. This one didn t disappoint. Nice lunch special too.
Ordered spicy fried rice wasnt even spicy and they charged me extra
Worst Hakka food ever.
Please check your receipt this place now. Charges a 12 percent server fee added to your bill automatically . Also the service was fast but they didnt fill my water until after i paid and the lady asked me if i wanted water so not really the fastest . Please Please check your bills they charge 12 percent extra charge on the receipt and they dont even tell you the food not the best I rather go to Chung moi at eglinton and kennedy down the street . Better hot n sour soup and better food
Nice halal stuff
Terrible Hakka, stay away.
I bought a dinner for 2 that includes 2 spring rolls, a chilli chicken, a schezuan chicken and a fried rice. Also 2 cans of pop. The chilli chicken and schezuan chicken taste horrible. They are batter fried in very old stinky oil, the smell of which is so evident in the food and tastes bitter due to the old oil thats used. Avoid. The two stars I gave are for the spring rolls and the rice which was decent to consume.
Their food taste really good so my family likes their food and their servings.
The portions were really big for one person - so I recommend ordering 1 dish for 2 people to share. Despite what previous reviews say, the servers were friendly and nice to us the time we were there. Pictured is sesame chicken and pad thai with shrimp. The Pad Thai was definitely made with some sort of jar premade sauce because it tasted like ketchup. Sesame chicken was delicious though! Loved it. I think its better too stick to their known dishes + more popular Hakka dishes :)
Good place to enjoy Indian style Chinese (Hakka) food. Service was good, quick and qty they serve is good for 2 people. I dont know whats wrong with Hakka restaurants in GTA. They all charge service charges even for one dish, one person plus they ask for a tip. Check your bill before you pay.
Poor customer service. The lady who works there she is very bad.
The food is bad. Every item raw and had a smell. Worst experience.
Been there second time now in the hope that they would improve but still disappointing, dont order from here especially the lollipop shown in the below pic, see the batter size and then and meat size
good price and serving is so fast.
Very bad food.. and they arrive you old and cold food.
Delicious
There is a hidden 12% service charge for dine-in. The funny thing is that the menu those are carefully stuck underneath the table glasses for the customers who want to dine in to see doesnt have that mentioned. When I inquired about it, the cashier said its for take out only. THEN WHY ARE YOU SHOWING THAT TO PEOPLE WHO ARE SITTING DOWN WHO ARE MOST LIKELY HERE TO DINE IN?
First time going in here. They have many different kinds of food. Price is reasonable. I got fried rice with chicken and mango salad. I only waited a few minutes for my food. Definitely recommend!
Horrible crispy chicken. Yes, it was crispy and dried. $17 for 3 pieces of legs which was a waste of money and loss of appetite!
Its been 6 years since I had good food, until now, everything in the restaurant is great, The staff are really kind, friendly, respectful, and helpful with everything. I would recommend it as a 5 Star Restaurant. Its a perfect place for alone, friends and family. I really enjoyed my food. Dietary restrictions: Great Parking: Lots of empty parking spots everywhere. Wheelchair accessibility: You can move the chair, plenty of space for a wheelchair.
Perfect place to have chinese food in the Scarborough area
Went a little late in the evening for a quick dinner. Service was quick, food was fairly tasty. Portion was good. What I did NOT appreciate was being asked to tip over and above the service charge that was billed to me. Slipping in service charge and then asking for tip which most people will overlook leads to double tipping and costs you way more than youd expect or budget for. Vegetarian options: Has decent vegetarian options and varieties.
Worst noodles ever had. Have to cook again in sauce. A big no to this place.
Chilli chicken was ok but the chicken hakka noodles were the worse I have ever had and the chicken in it I wasn t even sure if it s chicken
Chicken wings very dry crunchy and hard Disappointed
Food is fresh and hot, i like that the sweet and sour chicken is meaty and uses chicken breast Wheelchair accessibility: Has parking, 2 doors to get through into the restaurant.
My wife and I hosted very large group for dinner here. The food was delicious and favorful. Everyone commented on how fresh the food was. Because it was a long weekend we didnt a lot of choices however we were glad found this place. Would definitely come back again.
Never have a smiley face....always looks grumby...very bad customer service I ever had in my life.....I would never recommed this restaurant to anyone..... If someone for the 1st time ask for description and incredients of the food they dont give answer properly. They keep asking which one which one , we dont know. Really very bad....they argument with the customer instead of giving proper service.
The worst Chinese food Ive ever had. I ordered the house special hakka noodles. Theres nothing special about it. It just tastes like homemade noodles with just soy sauce. If youre not a good cook. Nearest hardly any chicken, beef or shrimp which is supposed to be the main thing that makes it special cuz they charge you extra I also ordered calamari. I got more of the coating then actual calamari. Same thing with the chicken wings. More coating than chicken. It didnt taste like anything wasnt even season not even with salt. I would not recommend this place if youre someone who has had real hakka food and know what its supposed to taste like this is the last place youd want to go. And to top it all off the portions are extremely small for the price to their charging. Its not worth it
Spicy Chicken Pakora is the best of them!
The food is always fresh and tasty! The hot and sour soup, chicken parkora, bombay chicken, and chilli chicken are among my favourites!
Great tasting food, at a good prices
Ordered manchurian chicken noodle which was thr worse noodle i ve tasted in my life.
Killer hakka noodles
Food taste was good, but they put a service charge on the bill of 12 %. So in other words you tip them even if you do not want to which I think is unfair. Legally, they cannot do that, and you have a right to ask them to remove it. At least that is my understanding. I saw the bill too late to ask them to remove it.
My cousin and wife took me out for dinner here. Having never had Hakka before I came out impressed. Ill look for Hakka back home! Wheelchair accessibility: No steps, can roll right in.
What happen to this place? Used to be good a few years ago but now it s just terrible. Chili chicken has all batter and it s bitter maybe the oil needs to be changed. Also gave me short change on a takeout order that I didn t mention but I plan to never go back again
Totally disappointed with the food and the service. We were a regular customer to their restaurant but unfortunately this time the service and food were both unsatisfactory. We ordered lunch combo and upgraded to fried rice instead but the food which was served in the beginning was not warmed which surprised me. The taste of the food was not as good as it used to be before. Finally when we entered the restaurant we felt a depressing atmosphere inside the restaurant. And the receptionist did not welcome us with a simple smile although there werent busy when we entered the restaurant. Overall we were disappointed with the food and the service.
Get together
Highly recommend
The chicken in the noodles was not properly cooked and the Bombay chicken was very dry. The Bombay fish was okay
Delicious every time I come. Price is fantastic!!
This is one of my go to places for Hakka . The taste is amazing . They dont try too hard to make it tasty as it comes naturally to them . Bombay fish is one of my favorites .
One of the worst experience. never going again. The chicken was not well cooked..totally dislike situation.Their food and the rate is totally opposite. They charge high. Never go if you dont want to waste money.
Great chilli chicken
We have given a lot of opportunities to this restaurant by dining in and ordering but everytime the quality has gone down south. Today the food we ordered was bland, no salt only raw chilles were given as manchurian. Now I am done with this restaurant and will not order anymore.
Saturday night around 8p, place was dead. Just wanted to get some takeout and on a technicality, my meal was changed too much to include a spring roll. She said, you didnt order what it says. IMHO bad customer service. Wont go back.
Zero star. Orders Singapore noodle and chillies chicken last night. Stomach been hurting. Oily chilli chicken.. first time and last time at this place!!
I was super hungry, and I bought beef in black bean sauce but the beef tastes nasty and not fresh at all. I had to throw it away. Very disappointing.
The reason why I chose this restaurant is because it is located in 1130. I originally had an aversion to the term hakka because I had eaten at a hakka restaurant before which was very difficult to eat, but the food here is really good. Today we call Zuo Chicken Shanghai Stir-fried and Black Bean Pepper Beef Hor Fun (I don t know its Chinese name is Mizha, because it has an English name). They are both lunch specials. My sister s is Hirano. They are both 8.99 and 9.99, and both come in a bottle. Shuitongsu spring rolls Just like a regular restaurant, the dishes are big and the taste is good. If you ask if they have chopsticks (in Cantonese), they will provide them. But they are wooden chopsticks for take-out. If you can get a cup of warm water, there is no problem.
Horrible tasteless food and packing it so you dont notice the order incorrect. This place need inspection urgently.
Best Chinese food in gta
Nice place and food is a little more expensive than others.
HORRIBLE FOOD. I don t recommend this place. Don t go. The food is unflavoured and unsalted. I am NEVER coming back. I USED to come here often.Go to the Tim Hortons next door if you re hungry.. The Wonton Soup was good, and the free plain rice was the most excellent part of the meal. I am flabbergasted that the chef sent that meal out. It s a disgrace. I share sentiments with this review below: https://maps.app.goo.gl/RsAY4Zvkb7pkjioJ7?g_st=ic I came for a takeaway 18:47 on October 21, 2023 I ordered: kung pao prawn Singapore chicken fried rice Masala Chicken Hakka Noodle Chicken Wonton Soup The dishes below had no salt, no flavours , and are a waste of money kung pao prawn Singapore chicken fried rice Masala Chicken Hakka Noodle Furthermore, Masala Chicken Hakka Noodle had no masala, it was just boiled noodles tossed in a shameful amount of masala and NO salt and NO a flavour. Even the green bin was revolted after tasting the above mentioned dishes.
Not a good place if you are looking for authentic Hakka place. Terrible experience.
The front desk lady is a robot. Don t want to talk and don t want to tell about the food. She is look like she does not like her job.the Food was all garbage. The chili tiger prawn was smelly and rotten. The fried rice worst ever I have ever eat. Actually they don t know how to cook Hakka chines. I went to the store again with the rotten food told to give my money back. But they said they cannot give money back. I will request to avoid the restaurant. This place is not the same place anymore like it was before
(If I had anl nut allergy....Found 1 piece of peanut/nuts in my first and last dish) there was no peanut ingredient listed in the menu btw. Very greasy Shanghai noodle dish, found 6 pieces of chicken, 14+$ for a small portion Costco container dish. Top food supermarket at brimley and Lawrence has a better deal for $4.99.
Ordered pickup for two items. One wings with fried rice and one mango tango chicken with rice. Wings was fine. Mango tango chicken was raw and inedible. It smelled funny too. Couldnt eat it. So was left very unsatisfied
This is very poor service I order 4 dishes and they give me only 1 soy sauce and 1 hot chili sauce don t understand what kind of service is that next time when I go there I we ll return this 2 pack of sauces
Spent over $40 on door dashed and specifically asked for pepper packs and plum sauce but instead got 1 packet of hot sauce and 1 packet of soy sauce. Been in This situation multiple times but I m done i wont be coming back. Simple things they can add when people order. I wont order again but hope ownership will fix this to keep customers
Ordered via skip the dishes today. Just sweetcorn chicken soup and Bombay chicken. The sweetcorn chicken soup had o chicken in it no salt too ..!!! Hardly 2 pieces of chicken.. not sure why the hesitation to add chicken. Wanted to know what s the hype about Bombay chicken it s nothing by chicken 65 with some ginger and garlic ..!!! Ok types ..!!! Nothing great bout it ..!!! Ok for the price.
Went there after a long time from ordering from them and was just reminded why i stoped in the first place. Absolutely no taste or flavor whats so ever the Ginger chicken was awful dry and barely chewable, the chicken pakora had no taste what so ever, the guyanese style fried chicken and fried rice was treble no taste no flavor just awful they shouldnt make it if they cant do it right i was so disappointed and a waste of my money i would give them no stars if i could over all just terrible I will not be going back there again Chung moi up on eglinton is way better if you want some good hakka food.
Was craving Hakka so decided to get take out from Li s. Ordered the Hakka dinner for 6. The portion was worth the price. Spring roll and lollipop chicken were really tasty. Really liked the beef too. Sweet and sour chicken was the best among all. Vegetable, noodles and fried rice were alright and tasted a little bit bland.
Horrible horrible food. I wonder if the chef tastes the food before he sends it out because it was inedible. Ordered take out on Sunday - chicken wontons, chicken corn soup, crispy beef chilli chicken, sze chuan noodles, shrimp fried rice. Soup was too salty, almost bitter. Crispy beef was like a dessert, over powered with honey. Noodles tasted of nothing - no spice, no salt. Fried rice, chilli chicken and wontons were underwhelming. Please do better for people s hard earned money in these Covid times.
Comfort food with good prices. Portion size is good for 2 people. Have tried a few other places but this is one is the best.
Gd foods but too much oily
Was our favorite Hakka place. We drive from Ajax for this Hakka food. Food still good but dine in service become worst. Will never go for dine in. 4% service charge included with bill but never see any service.
I ordered something from the restaurant and the front server was very rude with me and this is not the first time every time she does this. She charged extra for Garlic and she didn t inform us, also I am a regular customer and the way she treated me today I will never go to this restaurant again and I suggest the owner of this restaurant to give good customer service to their customer and treat the customers respectfully.
Very bad food and service is more worse. The old Asian lady, very rude to customers and she was coughing around the food orders They also overcharge without informing customers. Basically very disappointed with the restaurant it used to be very good but because of bad staff the restaurant we will never go to restaurant and I suggest not to go Greatly disappointed
Fast service. Excellent food
Ordered Food from this location, Food Is always good infact this time we discovered a hair in manchurian chicken. Not one single apology, infact was told to bring all the food back, they will look at it and than make new food for me. Very disappointed and wont go back.
very bad experience, only Bombay chicken and Hakka noodles $29
Really disappointed with their service and taste of the food. Everything is over priced !!
Rude customer service. When i asked about tap to pay for food. The lady replied Read for your self What kind of restaurant doesnt have a tap option in this Covid pandemic?! What about those who cant read?!
Ordered Manchurian Hakka Noodles (Chicken), noodles amount/quantity was good but with less chicken. Taste was not as expected neither felt fresh. Tried there for the first time and got highly disappointed.
Bad customer service.
Ordered the lollipop chicken, with a small jar of mayo sauce, no any flavour on the chicken, won t come back again!
Huge portions tasty food clean environment fast servive
Ive ordered from here multiple times and Im never disappointed
Quick service, tasty food.
Awful spicy beef and prawns. There should be a coating of sauce on the shrimp even if it s dry. Beef tasted awful. This is not authentic Indian Chinese. I cook better Hakka Chinese at home. This food is only for those who don t know what Indian Chinese food is. Pls fire your chef.
Just gross. I basically donated $60.00 here, food went straight in garbage. Never been so disappointed. Gross. How they are in business no clue
Green Tea was refreshing and best out of entire order. Fish Pakora was worst. No fish in fish pakora at all. It was very very thick layer of batter with tiny overcooked fish chunks. Manchurian chicken fried rice was good. Hakka veg noodles was not good. No taste in food. Fried Banana was good, crispy and crunchy from outside and sift from inside. Not very sweet, perfect. Vanilla ice-cream was so refreshing. Overall not a good experience. Food is pricey without taste.
Was with a friend The Mango Chicken and Rice Was Very Good He Paid So Dont Know How Much It Cost But Enjoy it
The owner are of Asian decent and have a lovely restaurant and such a big menu of all nationality and serve alcohol beverages. Great service and atmosphere. Staff very accommodate to your needs. Great place for families and friends, or just two people, I went there myself. Please let me know if u love this place. Thanks peace
I love this place. I always snag a lunch special when Im in the area. Probably more Chinese than Indian or the Hakka spectrum. I get Chicken & Mixed Veg with a Spring Roll and bottle of water for $10. Plenty of food and still a good Toronto deal.
I ve ordered take-out from this place very often and they re always quick and consistent with their service. Manchurian chicken, bombay chicken, and honey garlic chicken are my go-to orders if I m not sure what to get.
The chilli chicken on fried rice is the best and their Manchuran chicken is on point as well and cant be there lunch specials
This is one of the best value for money places I have visited in Toronto. The price is very good compared to their portions. The food is freshly made and tastes authentic. This is one of the most underrated place i would say. Definitely recommend this place.
Good portion.
Great food
Been going over 5 years ... within the last 2 years of 2022 the food quality / taste have dropped but the cost have gone up. I understand due to over all cost increases but the taste should not suffer. Fri Aug 26 , it was 2 of us and 3 dishes , all 3 orders came out wrong and mine tasted like eating paper box with sauce. The worst is they now charge a 12% service fee without informing you , even for 2 people. Asked if this is tip included and the server said it is not but some people leave tips and some dont ... ????? What ???!!! ... she did not explained and moved on . Gave them $2.00 extra on top of the 12% .... but not going back JUST BE HONEST !!! And care about the customers ....
The food quality and quantity has gone way down but the prices have gone WAY UP. Glad they cut the high amounts of salt in their food. The food tastes and looks different. Not impressed. Charge a bit more but dont drop your quality and quantity. That is a definite sign of a struggling restaurant. Also, for those who liked the pay cash discount, it no longer exists. Not sure when OR IF I will go back. My favourite dish is now awful and half the size it used to be. Perhaps they have new owners. I heard that Mr. Li is not an easy man to work for. Also heard and seen that his family is quite miserable and entitled. So glad I have found another great place that even serves beef pakora. Now, wouldnt bacon pakora be tasty? That Is something I would definitely order. Call them Toronto Pakora since Toronto is known as Hog Town.
Got a combo from here. The food was really good. Had to take some home.
Good
Waitress was great!
I dont know if the cooks have changed but the food quality has gone way down. Food does not seem fresh, fried rice is too wet orders often wrong or missing items. I used to be a big fan but not anymore I tried to give it a chance but it is constantly bad. I will not be returning
Not too good .
This was one of the worst restaurant I ve ever been in my life. Some of the food was cold. Nothing was fresh. I m about to vomit just by writing this review and trying to remember how disgusting it was. Avoid at all costs if you care for your health.
Im a Uber delivery person, I havent personally tried their recipes, But I picked up more than 15 deliveries from this restaurant. Moreover, I must say that their service was really Great and they never made me wait more than 5 min. Really happy to serve for this restaurant, as they were really friendly, good environment and quick at preparing orders. Parking: Huge parking lot is available, as it is situated in a shopping complex.
Last Review: Its reallt good restaurant. The staff is friendly and dont keep you wait. Noodles, paneer pakora are awesome New Review: We have been coming to this restaurant from last 2 years and We never expected to be harrassed by restaurant employees. We ordered Paneer Pakora and there was No salt in it. We understand sometimes mistakes happen. But there is a way to talk. They literally speak to us very rudely. To the owner, You lost long time customer and ofcouse our friends and family too. I hope you spend some of your effort in customer service as you have good food but poor Customer service
I ordered chilli chicken on rice, chicken is stale. Better avoid this place
Their chicken pakkoras are the best
Quick and delicious! Open late and very convenient!
Good Chinese food
GROSS we ordered the lunch special Bombay Chicken and Thai Mango Chicken. The chicken was just deep fried skin with barley any meat for both dishes. We basically had deep fried chicken skin and rice. Showed the server and she didnt even care. If Im paying for food I want to enjoy what Im eating.. This was terrible. Will not be eating here again.
I just had bought sweet and sour chicken, a long with beef, brockli and noodles for dinner and the whole family gotten the poos. I will never trust this resturant with my food ever again. If your looking for a Hakka resturant, my advice go somewhere else then to this place. Besides they dont even offer discounts if you bring in cash. The other Hakkas do. Good luck!
Good experience. Bought a Chilli Chicken with Hakka Noodles (Gravy) and was satisfied with the amount, taste, and value.
Food was yummy....but the server has to be changed. She is rude and racist behavior. She wasnt paying attention at all. We had to call her to order for food nor did she came with the bill. Neither she did check on us. Never gonna come again
If you don t give a 5 star then you don t have proper taste buds
Ordered from uber eats. Not worth it, lacks flavour and meat to rice/noodle ratio is very little. I dont expect extra but at least give people what they pay for. Wouldnt be purchasing again.
My husband and I order from here whenever we are craving Chinese. Always filled with flavour and generous quantity! Shanghai noodles and honey garlic chicken is a must try! :)
Ordered the Guyanese special and it was not tasty It was very oily. Ordered through Uber.
Absolutely terrible! I ordered two personal specials chili chicken with gravy and fried rice and the spicy garlic on hakka noodles Number 200 and 203 on the menu. The food had no taste, salt or spices. It was completely bland. Instead of giving us 203 spicy garlic chicken they gave us two chili chicken. It was my first and last time eating at this place. Really bad!
Good food! Good Service and Price I may have found my new Hakka Take out place
Awesome food....value for money
Nice and clean restaurant. Food is good. I tried the chicken pakora and spicy garlic chicken. Price is a bit expensive but quality is good.
Most horrible Chinese food ever. Last night we ordered Hakka Noodles, Manchurian Chicken, Beef with Mixed vegetable, and House special fried rice through Uber Eats. The restaurant is about 15 minutes drive from our home. We were surprised that the food arrived within 25 minutes of order. As soon as we opened the food we realized the they were not freshly cooked, rather they were couple of days old. That made sense why the delivery was so fast. In the past we had been to this restaurant several times because we liked their food. But this was our first experience after the name change (perhaps the ownership has also changed?). Will never ever buy from this restaurant again.
My experience left me concerned about their cleanliness and health and safety regulations. There was a mistake with my order, so I drove back for them to correct my order. The problem that shocked me was that even during a pandemic, they took back the food I had already touched and began to eat before realizing the order was wrong. They brought the bag of food to the back which I believe is a health code violation. I also work in the food industry and know that this is unsanitary. I will be contacting the Toronto health department.
We have ordered from here many times before and always found their food good and fairly portioned. We especially liked the cauliflower, chicken pakora, and the Thai mango chicken. We were surprised to find so many negative reviews as we found the food tasty and fresh
Way over priced, hardly any meat in the dish. One app one dish $40
They cancelled the order very last minute and informed me too late to make a new order.
The food looks great but taste is bland. Tasteless chicken dishes and I have had better Hakka food. This was the Parkway Mall location. Disappointed.
Noddles were poorly prepared leaving one third almost dry inside the box. The guy in counter directly refused to give an extra parcel plate. And you know what? The pops were given in a small garbage bag when we refused to take the cold pops together in the same shopping bag of noddles. And the attitude? I strongly believe, he was working Against his will and is determined to motivate customers to stop trying there even. Their ambience was very very very poor.
Cannot classify this as chilli chicken...it literally seems like a dry fried up chicken...there are better places out there
I really like their delicious and big portions of each dish. You can choose the spicy or non spicy. Highly recommended for special lunch deals for less than $10 with a bottled water and spring rolls. Take out is also popular. The restaurant is clean and has enough space for social distancing. Our name and phone numbers are required for indoor dining. Amazing staff, too.
This is our favourite Hakka Place. King Lobster Fries are too good. Here again after few months.. enjoying their food.
Their chicken Pakoras (extra spicy) are absolutely amazing. I have never tried anything that even comes close. Their chilli chicken and garlic chicken are terrific too but those pakoras are to die for. If you re ordering from here fkr the first time, get the pakoras. The service is fast and friendly.
Not fairly portioned compared to other Hakka restaurants in the neighborhood, like Hakka Legend and Super Hakka. Chicken fried rice and manchurian fried rice which I had was below par. Differential treatment of customers based on how they appear. I was not given the receipt after I paid cash , and I felt being rushed out.
I am a vegetarian and got two three options. The food had lots of oil and food colouring
Very affordable very good portion. Very nice wait stuff. Good quality overall.
Get the Indian Hakka flavour in Toronto
Love this Hakka. Theyre foods not the best but better then any other Hakka of this area. Service is very promptly and staffs are very submissive.
Used to really enjoy the the food before but now I would give it a zero if I could. Either the staff changed or they simply stopped caring dont waste your money here. Every time I order now a days theres a mistake, ordered chicken corn get hot and sour instead, ask for spicy garlic beef gets it overcooked so much I can barely chew it then finally today I lost my patience. I ask for a medium hot and sour soup instead I not only get a small and a very sad sorry with no accommodations nothing, it tastes almost flavorless only thing I can taste is an extreme amount of salt and nothing else and hardly any chicken. Now they did deny then once I showed a pic they apologized but what will I do with a sorry when mistake is repeated every time ? She even lied at first saying she double checked my order this time if you checked then how us the size wring ? I am officially done with this place, the food, the price and service is not worth it. There are much better Hakka places in Scarborough. Only went today as it was convenient to get to but now I rather stay hungry.
One of the worst hakka places
Quality and taste of the food is subpar.
Good food
Good food
Really like this place, vibe and food
Hakka noodles literally have NO FLAVOUR .
Food is good. Theyre pretty quick with getting orders ready. I especially like the dry chili chicken and honey garlic chicken. Although I like the taste of the crispy ginger beef, its extremely chewy and overcooked and will give your jaw a workout. The seafood fried rice was okay but had barely any seafood in it.
Not the best Hakka restaurant around. When we requested to dine in they did not check our covid-19 vaccine passports. The service is also not that great, they did not check up on us and did not give any napkins. They also charge you 10% service charge which is really rare to see these days. Also the food is too expensive for the portions you get. Not really the Hakka experience that youre looking for. Youre better off finding another Hakka restaurant thats around the area and avoiding this one
Their lunch specials are always delicious and affordable. Better than most Hakka restaurants in town! Definitely recommend Bombay Chicken with Hakka Noodles
It was good.
