Malatang tastes good, but the service needs to be improved. First of all, the credit card machine does not work, so you can only use cash via EMT or WeChat. Membership points can only be redeemed in cash, which is very inconvenient. Then the sour plum soup was refilled for free, but after finishing the drink, even if the guest reminded me, it was not refilled in time. I don t know if it s due to lack of manpower or intentional delay. Hope it can be improved.

I really like their spicy beef bone soup. I must have a bowl every week. I only eat vegetable malatang. The service is also very satisfactory. I like it very much.

If you like it spicy, you can go straight to medium or spicy. You can dine in without tipping, so don t ask for service level. As long as I can collect the money for you

I emphasized to the front desk that I dont like spicy food very much, so I dont want it spicy if I can. The front desk said perfunctorily that its just a little bit spicy. My go to malatang place. The first malatang place Ive went to that also provides a small sauce station which I love. Also has greet soup and topping options! Sometimes the soup tastes can be a bit inconsistent, but nothing too drastic. Will always come here for when im craving malatang!

I m a regular customer that comes multiple times, whenever I came before, when I scanned my card for points, it could work for multiple times per day. But when I came today, I used my points to get $12 off for my plate and I was about to pay for my friend s plate, when the female employee said that my friend s plate won t count as points, even though I m not using my points for it and is paying full price. I came here multiple times with my other friends and the other employees, including the boss allowed this. Also, her attitude was really bad and even though after we paid separately to get points, she still said that I couldn t get it

Authentic malatang experience! Malatang is like a choose your own adventure in the form of a noodle bowl. You choose what food you want from a large selection, so you get to try a little bit of many things. Then you choose a broth to cook all the things you picked in. Its fun and delicious. Ive tried the spicy beef bone soup, which is thick and flavorful with sesame paste added. The medium spice level is pretty hot, but not overwhelming, if sriracha is spicy for you, you should try another broth. Next time Ill be trying the Szechuan spicy soup. Cant wait to be back.

One of my favourite restaurants period. I fell in love with malatang whenever I would go visit my family in Beijing so when I started craving it and discovered this place, I was ecstatic. I bring husband (whos white and so far the only non-Asian Ive seen there) and we both love it. The broth is delicious, and all of the topping options are always fresh and it never ends up being too expensive (generally $14-18 per bowl). The owner/boss lady (same person that checks us out) is also very nice and Im sure by the number of times weve now visited, she knows our order by heart!

Favourtie perfect little place for Malatang in town! I tried this place once and has been my go to place ever since then! The staff is friendly, they have a great variety of vegetables, meat and noodles. I hear all their food items are great but the Stir Fry is my favourite!!! Would recommend to anyone who loves malatang!

I came across a sour Prince Mushroom and reported it to the store clerk. In fact, the color has turned yellow. I didn t replace it in time because the food prices are really expensive now. Coming to Toronto from Vancouver, I saw this restaurant recommended on social media platforms, so I came to try it. The spicy beef bone soup I ordered was definitely not as good as in China, but it was much better than in Vancouver! Moreover, you can add sesame pepper oil, vinegar, chili oil and sugar yourself, and it tastes very fragrant! The music played is really ugly. It s all Douyin covers. It makes me upset when I listen to it...

You cant go wrong with mala tang. Pick your own toppings and they will make a delicious soup for you.

This place has great food, great flavours, and the price is right! Also as a bonus they always spin the most fire tracks. I live near several joints within a five minute drive but I ll make the 20 minute trip to this place instead at least once a month because it s that good. Edit: Feb 19th forgot to mention last time, this place plays sick tunes. Always bangers, really elevates my dining experience. I always forget to take pictures because the food smells too good and I eat everything immediately.

Ingredients have dried out parts and didn t get switched or changed. The pickled cabbage soup didn t have much taste. Not much of any service, ONLY ACCEPT debit and cash which is pretty ridiculous nowadays. Not much else to say oh wait, both of us had diarrhea after eating there.

The service was extremely poor. I went to pick up the takeaway and stood at the door for a long time. The service guy didnt even look at me or ask me anything. The store wasnt busy at all at that time. If the takeout in this store can be taken and touched at will, I have reason to suspect that there are major health risks in the takeout in this store. But one thing to say, it tastes good. But there are corners cut. The service is not good, nor is the integrity.

Overall great place for noodles. You pick your own topic and its counted by weight (regardless of type). One caveat is - dont underestimate how much your basket weight. The bowl of noodles you see in my review is $20 and it was borderline too much for me. As long as you manage your topping selections, its a great place for noodles for $10-15.

We were craving for some Malatang, and luckily Qing Shu was in the area to satisfy those cravings! On a normal day, they would have dine in but due to Covid, they only have takeout and delivery available. You would essentially pick your own ingredients, and they charge by the weight plus any additional toppings. There s a good amount of soup options, and we picked the Spicy Pork Broth at medium spiciness. Each order comes with a free can of pop which was a nice plus. The soup was delicious, and surprisingly not as spicy as I feared. I appreciate how they wrapped the takeout containers in plastic too to protect the soup from spilling, and to keep it warm longer. The only complaint I d have is that I wish the soup was alittle less oily and having more lamb pieces (as other malatang places I ve been had a lot of meat) IG: Ayenomz

This is also called forget it, mainly because the soup base seems to be watery and has no taste at all. The spicy beef bone soup I ordered was no different from the clear soup.

If youre craving soup noodles, this is a place to check out. I have no idea what they put in their pork broth but holy moly its amazing! You get to choose your own toppings, as the price is based on weight. It can add up really quickly, so be careful. Customer service was great and the place was clean. Highly recommend

I came here often before the epidemic, and I had a good impression of this restaurant and the owner. Until one time, I went to dine in with a friend. After I had eaten more than half of it, I took out a receipt from the bowl. They should have typed it out to record the soup base information and gave it to the chef. The words on the receipt melted completely. The boss was not there at the time, but a male waiter was there and told me that he could make another bowl for me. I said that I had almost eaten all the food and had all the ink in my stomach, so there was no point in making another bowl. Then the waiter said he could give me a discount. I thought that would be fine too. Later, when I checked out, he gave me 5% off, which saved me as much as $2! ! Two knives! ! When I think about it, I can save $2 by eating ink with a small ticket! ! Really earned it! ! So I went out with a lot of gratitude and never made any purchases in this store again. If hygiene is your concern maybe not a good time to come since I see the bowls for pick your own food (stacked up) is right at the door, with no covering. Plenty of options, many of different soup too. The price is measure by 100g (2.99) non member. Spicy soup is okay, big bowl! I got my bowl for 20 bucks. Not cheap!

Very nice food. But extremely poor customer service. The package was damaged and spilled over, so we called them and informed them. The guy on the phone was talking with the manager or something, then suddenly hung up on us. We called them back, and theyre ignoring our calls. Only order from this restaurant if you can bargain with avoiding any sort of customer service with this place. (Were right now eating our ordered food with no soup )

The quantity at your house is very small!

My boyfriend and I ordered the takeout and vomited at night. I supposed it s because the food or soup is not fresh enough . We are still getting stomachache now due to vomit. Plz make sure the food and soup are fresh and clean.

We ordered takeout tomato pot soup, and both my girlfriend and I vomited that night. We suspected that the dish was unclean or undercooked, or that the soup base was unclean and stale. My girlfriend found out that she had a gastrointestinal infection and a high fever, and she had symptoms of food poisoning. After vomiting, my condition improved. At the end of the year, I went to a clinic to wait in line to see a doctor, take medicine and rest for several days. I hope everyone will keep their eyes open and be responsible for their own bodies. We will not eat there again in the future.

Compared with other mala tang dishes, the taste is comparable. Because it is called green vegetables and there are many types of vegetables, I thought it was mainly vegetarian at first. I just ordered a spicy oxtail soup and a tomato soup from Uber Eats. When I got it, the things I ordered were all messed up. The tomato stuff was in the spicy one, and the spicy stuff was in the tomato. My friend and I can t eat spicy food. I couldnt eat a lot of the things I wanted to eat. I was surprised. When I ordered it, I clearly wrote down what soup base and what should be added to it, but the food was delivered in a mess. Is it okay for the merchant to be a little brainwashed when working? I originally liked eating their food, but this time Im going to take a turn for the worse. When we got it, we were so confused that we couldnt tell which bowl belonged to whose. angry! A very bad experience!

Malatang restaurants have a lot of soup base choices, and the meat and vegetable choices are not much different from those outside.

This place is pretty alright. You might the ingredients that you want in your noodle and they will cook it and bring it to the table for you. The food is pretty tasty.

My first visit a few weeks ago was cool. Got takeout and all went well. Today I went in for another takeout order and experienced possibly the worst attitude /service Ive ever recieved at the register. We didnt end up ordering anything and went somewhere else for food instead. Wouldnt come back.

By far the best dry base malatang Ive had in Canada. For western people that might see this restaurant on Uber Eats and are curious, heres what I recommend. Dry base, then select beef slices and beef balls for meat, then lotus root slices (nice and thinly sliced) with Yukon gold potato slices. After that, youre going to want to add bean curd slices (a must imo). If you want tofu, I recommend the frozen tofu because its firmer and doesnt fall apart when grabbing it with chopsticks and or fish tofu (always get the fish tofu). For vegetables, I recommend broccoli, kelp and black fungus. Would also recommend spam and hot dogs too if youre extra hungry. Dont skip on this! By far one of my favorite Chinese dishes. Cant picture life without malatang!
