Celebrating the rich cuisine and heritage of Bangladesh, right in the heart of Scarborough! Hungry? Ruposhi Bangla serves up affordable Bangladeshi style street food and fine South Asian dishes that can be enjoyed by all. We also have a weekend bhorta buffet, with a menu that reflects the bountiful harvest of each season back home.
The decor is nice here, it represents the true essence of Bangladeshi art. I tried their mutton kacchi biryani. The taste is average but I felt they could have increased the portion size considering the price. Otherwise it was a good experience.
The food was aromatic, authentic, and absolutely delicious! The mutton biryani was perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. The staff is really nice and well behaved as well. Great experience!
Great food with an extensive bengali menu, showcasing its variety. Wish the haleem had less bone but taste was excellent. Chicken roast was also good.
A perfect halal Bengali food. Authentic Bengali cuisine. I felt like I am having breakfast in Bangladesh. Friendly environment. Good portion. Highly recommended!
We recently visited Ruposhi Bangla while traveling from the USA and had an absolutely wonderful dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding—authentic Bangladeshi flavors that were both rich and delicious. Overall, we were very happy with our experience at Ruposhi Bangla. If you are looking for great food, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and service that truly makes you feel valued as a guest, I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a perfect spot for a family gathering or simply enjoying an authentic taste of Bangladesh in Toronto.
We visited few days ago from St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador. As Bangladeshi living in rural Canada, we crave desi food so much and Ruposhi Bangla was just the perfect place to be at. Had a great family dinner, they had everything we wanted from the menu. We ordered beef paya, haleem, naan, sheek kebab, tandoori chicken, jeera rice, mango lassi and kids menu too! Portions were more than enough. Service by the servers was warm and welcoming. When we visit Toronto next time, Ruposhi Bangla will definitely be on my list. Highly recommended!
I was visiting town and my friends brought me here for dinner. I was blown away! First of all, it is a very clean atmosphere. It’s well lit and has very comfortable seating. The staff were very friendly and professional, and our waitress went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of with sincerity. It felt like family to me. We had the following items: - mutton biryani (8/10) - butter chicken (10/10) - beef kala bhuna (12/10) absolutely incredible - garlic naan (10/10) The garlic naan was so fresh, soft, and perfectly seasoned. Not too salty, not too garlicky. The beef melted in our mouths. We all have different spice tolerances but generally we are able to handle spice. This was spicy but not unbearable. It was a delicious level of spice. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. Thank you to the lovely waitress who was very kind to us and gave us great recommendations. I look forward to visiting again when I’m in town. 10/10, highly recommend this restaurant.
Edit to my previous 1 star review. I had terrible experience due to poor management and bad service during Ramadan even though food was decent. Took a chance to visit again this Saturday for a weekend buffet and Ruposhi Bangla was able to redeem itself to a 5 star experience. Wasn't that busy, so I could seat anywhere. I tried every single dish, and unlike most buffets(where few dishes are good rest are just fillers), every single dish tasted delicious, freshly made and supreme quality. Protein dishes had enough meat and fish and not only gravy. Everything was refilled constantly so that dishes didn't look sad like most buffet places. Service still could be better, maybe just asking if everything is okay or clearing the dishes, but food quality and taste compensates fully for that. I will highly recommend trying their weekend buffet for excellent selection of Bengali dishes and desserts for a comparatively reasonable price. P.S: Please add some simple salad for the lunch buffet, to make the dining experience even better.
Sub par food. My daughter had stomach issue after having their food.
Great food .... great service.... affordable price. Liked it.
Buffet was amazing
Genuine bangla food that won t make your stomach upset the next day. Staff is very friendly and foods great. Specially the kacchi.
Genuine bangla food that won t make your stomach upset the next day. Staff is very friendly and foods great. Specially the kacchi.
Food is amazing. The mutton biryani was so good
Beautiful restaurant. Service was excellent... Unfortunately the food is below par.. We ordered chili mom which was not so exciting and def not spiced as the name suggests... We ordered beef shingara.. When it came to the table... first thing I smelled was old greasy oil... being a chef thats very alarming... I couldnt get past the greasy old oil smell... My wife had 1 bite and she refused... Not going again.... this is not right!!!!
Great tasting and excellent service and great price.
Beef is very good and naan is very soft
I ordered online a 4-5 times and they missed items in the order every time. When called they say they will send it on next order. But yhis last time, when I called and informed them, they were really rude towards me and did not give me any solution. The staff were very unprofessional and suggested we speak to the owner instead of them. I don t have the owners number! When I requested that they help me get my missed item, the person named Shoikot said it is lunch time, it is busy time and he straight hung up! That was extremely rude and they lost me and my family as customers. If you keep this up, you will lose all your customers.
Their food was so awesome Specially the vorta was too good Most best unique item was their daal I im in love of their food Food : 5/5 |
We tried the chicken soup earlier and it was very tasty. We ordered it again today morning and the taste is horrible. Complete garbage. This is the common problem with Bangladeshi restaurant, initially food tastes good and after few months quality down to zero. Thats why these restaurants dont survive more than a year. Dont recommend at all.
Best buffet we have had so far. Food was really good. Will definitely visit again!
Staff r very good
Good food, good service, good environment. Afridi and soniya were really nice. Highly recommend.
This was our first visit for breakfast. We ordered breakfast Thali, it came with two paratha (size was small), mixed vegetable (totally mashed up), chholar dal (okay), koliza bhuna (smelled basi), shujir halwa (okay). We also took egg omelet (well cooked). Two cha - dud and masala. Somehow I feel none of the Bangladeshi restaurants able to master the art of making cha! Ambiance was good - this restaurant has a cozy and charming atmosphere! the waiter needs to be bit professional. With comfortable seating with Bangla song made us feel homely. But most importantly meal quality needs to improve. Nadim & Shushmita
Good food
The food is so much oily. Atmosphere is not private because sound echos. You can hear conversation of the other table easily. Their price is too high compare to amount of food.
Really good food and the service was courteous and friendly! Never had bangla food before this! It was delicious! We came on a Saturday and they also had a buffet! We ordered from the menu though. Food
Alhamdulillah This restaurant food is very good We all get a lot of satisfaction from eating food. Everything tasted very good Alhamdulillah we ate with satisfaction Love
This restaurant has freaking good foods man and if you are Bengali you will love this restaurant man
Unbelievable flavours, generous portions and great value. The curries are beautifully fragrant and the biryani is out of this world.
Great place to satisfy bangla food cravings. Paya and Naan. 5/5. The Naan was so good. Paya was juicy, the broth very flavourful. I like a mixture of paya and nihari so ordered the lamb daal ghost. The chana daal could be slightly softer but the lamb was brilliant. When you mix the paya and lamb curry. That was brilliant. Lamb daal ghost. 5/5. Nice portion. Lamb was tender and succulent. Chicken samosa. 5/5. The stuffing was good. Crispy and the tamarind chutney was a nice touch. Lollipo chicken. 5/5. They use drumsticks instead of the wing pieces. 4 in an order. With fries on the kids menu. Khichuri and duck bhuna. 6/5. I loved it. The khichuri took me back to dhaka canteens and the duck was very flavourful. Chicken Tikka biryani. Boneless 5/5. Not your typical Indian style Chicken biryani. The flavors were light. Im looking forward to going back and trying other dishes like chaap and kacchi. Service was welcoming and warm. The staff were attentive and looked after us. The restaurant is spacious and inviting even in a small space. The decor and music add to all the nostalgia. Overall 5/5. Will go again. Well done, RP team. Keep up the standards in all areas. Food, service and decor. That is what brings us back over and over again.
Worst customer service. Person at the front has a very bad attitude.
Dropped its quality and taste. Its no longer how it used to be when started. Beef tihari/ roast / beef bhuna even the dal puri nothing at all was tasty Very disappointed with the downfall Food : 1/5
Just searching for a bad taste food here till now
We stopped going to any other restaurant and stopped doing any catering from anywhere else since they had opened up this restaurant. They cook delicious healthy, authentic, Bangladeshi food and prices are very reasonable. Their customer service is beyond expectations and the dining-in environment is amazing! My kids are not asking for fast food anymore, they rather love to get a take-out from Roposhi Bangla! Our favourite dish is chicken roast and pulao! Try it!
The tea is great
We liked the deshi style food and the matir plates for eating. Sashi and Jannat were very cooperative to serve us and my guests enjoyed the food and happy with the Deshi decorations.
Amazing service warkar
I had a very good service from a very kind girl Sonia
I was recently at Ruposhi Bangla and had the lunch special for $8.99, which included fish with daal, rice, and eggplant. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and the rich flavors of the dishes. The fish was perfectly cooked and paired wonderfully with the daal, which had a comforting, earthy taste. The rice was fluffy and complemented the meal nicely, while the eggplant was tender and added a great texture. Our server, Sonia, was exceptional very courteous and attentive without being overbearing. She made sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations. Overall, I had a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Bengali cuisine at a great price!
If I could give zero I would. Not one item on the weekend buffet was tasty. The rice wasn t warm, the chicken tandoori was cold. I ve never been more unimpressed. Plus we were a huge group. So no excuse for serving cold rice and cold chicken. Nothing was special about the bhortas. And the meat and fish curries were tasteless. Dessert was stale.
Tried their tehari and roast-polao. Both were very delicious, with good portion size at reasonable price. Loved the atmosphere too. Highly recommend. Kid-friendliness: They had a kid menu with chicken lollipop and fries.
I was sorely let down by the Quality....I love Bengali food but this didnt hit it right...:(....I will visit again....
Maach tou aar nai fantastic food and service. If you re in the area a must try.
We had breakfast at the restaurant and the food was real good! Tasted exactly like Bangladeshi hotel which we were craving for a long time! Service on point and the atmosphere is nice too!!
Great Ramadan iftar buffet. The owner and the lead server are both friendly and would inquire about your experience multiple times. Quantity and quality for this price is excellent.
Just awesome specially borta . Parking: Good Food : 5/5 |
Karachi was one of the best in toronto. Beef tehari was good as well. Specially I like the proper balance of spiciness and oil. Moreover server Soniya was caring and also suggested us to try the mutton kacchi which made our day. Hope they keep this up for a long time.
If anyone wanna explore mouthwatering Bangladeshi authentic cuisines in a mindblowing atmosphere with reasonable prices, Ruposhi Bangla is the place! Foods are literally up to the mark is taste and the people inside are so friendly, cordial & welcoming. Highly recommended!
After searching for a long period back home taste, I got the place finally!!! I wanna recommend the breakfast platter, bhuna khichuri, beef kala bhuna, and bhorta platters(chepa shutki - OMG taste was delicious), and the weekend special buffet was amazing! Food
Very good place very nice people specialy Sonya and Noman
The food was good but the desserts were not good.they have to change Manu.
Frozen food straight outta box
Great place, Great food, and Great Service!
Authentic taste, excellent service.
One of the best Bengali Places in Toronto. Highly recommend . The Bhortas and Lebu para Daal were out of this world and overall best ambiance and environment.
Ruposhi Bangla in Scarborough offers an exceptional dining experience with authentic Bengali cuisine. The food is flavorful, the ambiance is welcoming, and the service is outstanding. Highly recommended!
Ruposhi Bangla in Scarborough offers authentic Bangladeshi cuisine with vibrant flavors and generous portions. Excellent service and a cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit for food lovers.
Absolutely stellar dining experience at Ruposhi Bangla! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting and authentic, reflecting the rich culture of Bengali cuisine. The service was impeccable attentive without being intrusive, and the staffs knowledge of the menu enhanced our meal. The food was exceptional. Every dish was a revelation, bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors and meticulously prepared. The traditional Bengali offerings like the Shorshe Ilish and the Pulao were perfect, showcasing the depth and nuance of the cuisine. The spices were expertly balanced, and the portions were generous. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Its clear that Ruposhi Bangla takes pride in delivering a top-notch dining experience. For anyone seeking an authentic Bengali culinary journey in Scarborough, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
Incredible service! Food is great as well !
We waited 1 hours for our food. Its understandable ower have friends there but they cannot ignore the customer.
This is one of the best places I have been to. Even something as basic as the Naan was delicious and fresh. The bhortas were delicious and so was the chotpoti. We are vegetarian but there were enough choices to cater to us as well. A beautiful ambiance and the hostess was so nice and friendly. I highly recommend everyone to check this place out.
Loved the Kacchi, beef kofta kabab, roast, chilli dumplings, chicken roast, shutkir vorta. And to top it off, nom nom firni (rice pudding). Everything is delicious and going there again to try some other food.
Amazing food, but service is quite slow. We had to wait a while for our orders. Would recommend if you come with plenty of spare time.
DO NOT ORDER ON UBEREATS. The BOGO on tehari offer is a scam with the meat to rice portion.
Food was good authentic Bangladeshi food very good customer service I would recommend try it out
The food is always fresh and very authentic! The staff are always very friendly! The quantity of the food is pretty decent in comparison to its competitors! Food : 5/5
Amazing newly renamed Bangladeshi restaurant with authenticity. We tried the weekend lunch buffet few times but tried the breakfast thaali and the signature hirajheel and star kabab chicken soup. It simply took us back to Dhaka days. Keep up the good work. I think they ve definitely some improvement scope on service since the service is slow And the reservations are sometimes overlapped.
Loved the food, but loved the service even more!!
The food was delicious and service was good too, had a family party and was fully satisfied. Special thanks to Rumi, Jannat and Afridi for their service.
Arranged a birthday party for my kid. The served food as buffet at dinner time. The food was delicious. Quantity was also more than enough. The service was excellent. Two person, Zannat and Rumi helped us lot. They even helped us decorating birthday baloons. Overall, I am happy with them and would recommend. Vegetarian options: Can ask them, its available. Dietary restrictions: Halal restaurant Parking: There is a parking place behind the restaurant. Its not plenty, but manageable. Kid-friendliness: Yes. Wheelchair accessibility: Possible.
Review posted in January: We went there to try Bhorta buffet on Sunday afternoon. Their bhorta items were good ; however, the curry items were disappointing and the quantity in the buffet tray was so little that we had to ask for refill. In a buffet food sta Before this restaurant, Madina Grill was our favourite spot for bhorta . I hope management reads my feedback and other s in this forum and improve their food taste . You can clearly see the demand for good halal buffet in Scarborough and you should not miss the opportunity. I wish to visit this place again. New review - September 10: Today I have visited this restaurant almost after 8 months and have changed my rating . They have done significant improvements in their food. We ordered their chotpoti and moglai paratha just to try out and it turned out really good. We will visit again for the breakfast. Good luck ! Parking: Not a problem.
I would first say that the staff there are absolutely excellent! Friendly, happy, ready to help out etc. The food was good, albeit felt it was a bit sweet. I highly recommend everyone to try the place out!!
The customer service was great! I have to mention that Sashi was really sweet and professional! The food is great and prices are reasonable- especially the dal puri and chicken rolls.Overall the vibe is really nice and worth going over again.Thank you Sashi for the extra effort you put in, by being pleasant! I went back in to ask for her name and to appreciate her for her service! Will surely go again more often
This place is simply amazing. The food, the atmosphere, everything. So much better than its competitors. But most importantly I would like to highlight the people that work here. Rumi, Afridi & Ahnaaf. These people are so so amazing. Super warm and friendly people and always feeds us with so much warmth. The friendliest, hardworking and nicest people. Really appreciate everything they do. This has been a regular place for us to eat now.
I just loved it the meal and the way they served. I bought naan and butter chicken. It was delicious. Thank you so much guys
Best service and food. Thanks Rumi and Sonia
This place is a must visit for Bangladesh cuisine. Friendly and attentive staff. Good decor and music ( should be a bit louder). The booth lights are a bit too bright and the booth seats are a bit uncomfortable (need more lumbar support rather than shoulder cushions). The food so far was amazing. The tea was excellent, gulab jamun was served warm which was refreshing. Fuchka and tok was really good. The chicken roll was well spiced and delicious but was a bit too crispy. Will have to try more items from the menu.
1st time in my life Ive visited these restaurants Its probably the last time. I saw a good size phomphret fish picture outside the restaurants, and I thought it would be one lbs of size fish fry. It hardly even has 20 grams of meat combined. Very very disappointing. Thank God I have ordered rice and daal with an extra $ 4 $ (recommended by the waitress)because these 3 pieces of fish cost 15$ with a total of 19$ + hst=21.98$. Tonight, I suffered famine in my stomach Daal, and plain rice didnt hold for long.
Today we visited first time in this restaurant with my friends for lunch. We chose to eat lunch buffet. I was really surprised by their bhorta dishes that were so delicious as well as their other curries, I specially liked law chingri, muri ghonto, rui fish. After a long time I tasted some good deshi style food in Ontario I want to come back again with my family members. I also want to mention their service which was delivered by Ahnaf (Jarif) that was really amazing See you soon
Yesterday I visited this restaurant. I ordered chicken lollipop chicken roll paya and garlic nan.also tea.all food was soo delicious. Ahnaf is very smily face.highly recommended
A wonderful place to hang out.. Love the place!!
Weve recently visited the Ruposhi Bangla restaurant & my overall experience was something to share about. The interior gives that cultural feeling along with the scent of authentic Bengali food. The food was absolutely delicious & satisfying. And the atmosphere was really very friendly because of the staffs working there.Especially Ahnaf treated us so nicely & politely & served us with the warmth & hospitality we all want. Overall Im fully satisfied with their food, staffs, interior, everything.Im looking forward to try some more dishes here!
Best bangali food
Good food good environment
We came as a family on a Sunday for breakfast for the first time and we had such a pleasant experience. The food was great and service was really good. It s very clean with a nice atmosphere. We will definitely go back to try lunch or dinner menu.
Chicken biriyani is just insanely delicious.
I have visited this restaurant around four times till now. I really enjoyed their food. most importantly, which I like most is their service and behaviour towards the customers. Unlike other Bangladeshi restaurants, they are focussing on their food and their friendly and warm behaviour towards customers. restaurant is also nicely decorated with Bangladeshi decorations. I found their biryani, butter nun and grilled chicken most flavourful.
Tried their tehari . Nothing special. Taste I felt so bland. I was expecting mustard oil and tehari flavour. It s like biriani flavour for me.
Just visited this new restaurant today. Relatively new restaurant. Ordered 5 vorta platter. All the vorta s are too good. Compared to other restaurants of Bangladeshi origin, there food tastes most deshi.
It was freshly made from you guys. If you dare, i can report it to food safety inspector with receipt. Receipt has both time and date. It is your luck, instead of reporting it, i showed it to your restaurant. Maintain proper hygiene instead making lame causes. Else i can post it publically and file a compaint against it with the receipt and posted time. I do have both buying and refund receipt from you guys.
very delicious food. Specially vorta .Sonia is a very good employee Friendly
Good food. Tasty and fresh.
The one time reviews really let me down. Food was too salty, and not really tasty. Was looking forward to some Bangla food, disappointed. No wonder the place was pretty much empty. They were out of many of the fish items. Overall not a good first time impression.
Meal very good taste, but it is not fulfill meals very expensive
The best place i ever ate with me and my fiancee.
Came here with my partner and sister. I wanted him to try my countrys food so I ordered pretty much everything and the food was soo soooo delicious!! Tasted just like home :) The staff were so sweet and accommodating, and helped us pack up all our leftovers. A very wonderful experience, will definitely come again!
Look at the Chana dal I got from them .not eat able at all.
We went to Ruposhi Bangla for a quick bite and were met with nice, hospitable service. The Steamed Momo were alright; sadly, they did not come with any condiment, so they weren t as enjoyable as we d like. The Lollipop Chicken were okay; they came with a side of ketchup which is not the condiment choice we d hope for to enjoy with our Lollipops. Also, we found there wasn t a wide variety of drinks. Overall, it was an alright experience, though we were definitely hoping for better.
Had bhorta with daal along with fish (ruhi and ilish). Food were delicious and preparation were great. Staff were diligent and very kind. Would be back next time for sure.
Not the best Bangladeshi food in town. Went there as it was one of the closest BD restaurants from 401. Haleem was salty, tehari was good, but had 5/6 pieces of meat, kachchi was NOT kachchi at all, vorta platter was fine. The girl serving the food was very nice.
Had the buffet for the weekend. Good selection, and the bhortas were very good. The curry dishes were OK. They should have kept some polao dishes in the buffet though, at least one would have made it better value.
I had the breakfast Thali. The mixed veg was bomb. Parathas were crispy and the halwa was scrumptious.
Ordered biriyani and found fly in it. Smelling bad. Literally 10 days old biriyani. Never ordering again.
The service and food quality both are very good at Ruposhi Bangla. I ordered my sisters Nikkah food for 60 people and got it delivered directly to the mosque, and I was very impressed how timely and professional they were when they dropped the food off. I spoke to Tito uncle (the owner I believe) multiple times to customize the orders and he was very helpful. I would definitely recommend catering from Ruposhi Bangla for events!
Tried the beef paya and taste kind of salty this time.
We were craving Bengali food and decided to give this spot a try. We ordered plain rice with chicken curry, kochu shak bhorta with ilish, daal, rui fish fry and mixed biryani. I was so hungry I skipped taking photos lol. Each and every item was so delicious the rice was cooked to perfection and the bhorta was my favorite. The fish was so fresh and delicious. They are new and really good. Definitely give them a try! :)
Authentic Bangladeshi taste. Bhorta combo was the best. Great ambience and decor. Price was also reasonable.
Went there two weeks ago. Since it was our first time at Bangla restaurant we were confused about what to order. Jannat and Afridi were super helpful and patiently explained the items in the menu. We ordered the fuchka, chicken biriyani, chicken roast pulao, beef tihari and fish. Found Biriyani the best among the lot.
This is by far the best Bengali restaurant in Toronto! I haven t been to the Medina Grill in a long time and when my friend brought me here for dinner I recognized the location right away. Super impressed with the design of the space - much needed upgrade! It s reminiscent of an art cafe around Dhanmondi lake - felt like I was back in Bangladesh. Beautifully curated and the food is absolutely incredible! Will be back soon and will be bringing more family and friends. ** the art is so beautiful in this space - maybe opportunity for an art galley/night where people could purchase from local artists etc?**
grate service from afridi and rumi. food has perfect deshi flavor and good spice lavel. loved it
My family and I had been in Toronto for a few days and we were craving some Bengali comfort food so we had went to Ruposhi. It did not disappoint at all! I loved the decor, the servers were nice, and the food was excellent! I highly recommend coming here for authentic Bengali food. It s also right across a beautiful mosque!
Food was amazing
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ruposhi Bangla, a new Bangladeshi restaurant, and was thoroughly impressed by the authentic flavors and warm atmosphere. Heres a breakdown of my experience: Food: - Daal: Simply amazing. The daal was so delicious that it could be enjoyed on its own with rice, providing a satisfying meal. - Chapa Shutki Bhorta: Not too spicy, reminiscent of homemade comfort food. - Beguni: Light on oil, perfectly balanced. - Kadhai Chicken: Tasty but could use a bit of improvement in flavor to get that authentic khadai chicken texture like the Pakistani restaurants. - Deluxe Biryani: A standout dish, full of flavors with every bite. The raita complemented it perfectly, and the rice was fluffy and non-sticky with minimal oil. - Beef Biryani: Equally impressive. Well-proportioned meat to rice ratio, making it a fulfilling meal. The accompanying salads, especially the lemons, enhanced the overall taste. - Starters:We were served crisps with a unique salty-sweet sauce. I enjoyed it, although it might be an acquired taste for some. Make sure to dip the crisps into the sauce for a full flavor experience. Environment: The restaurant boasts a clean and aesthetically pleasing setting, with a photo booth and clean windows adding to the charm. The dining area is well-decorated and maintained, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. Service: The service was professional and attentive. Special thanks to the lady who guided us in selecting the perfect dishes for the day. Overall, Ruposhi Bangla offers an authentic taste of Bangladeshi cuisine in a welcoming environment. I look forward to returning and trying more dishes. Parking: Plenty of parking, if not available then mosque is right beside it, also a plaza is there which has plenty of parking for free.
If you are looking for good fuchka they are the best ever
I came here with my mom and it was amazing! I highly recommend getting the 5 bhorta combo with daal, it was absolutely delicious (especially the kochu and loitta shukti bhorta).
Just excellent
Our new favourite! We first had their iftar during this Ramadan. All the items are delicious! Especially Beguni, Halim, Jilapi, Momo are some of my favourite! Since than we had tried Beef Tehari, Roast Polau, Kachchi Biriyani and love all the dishes. The only not so positive thing I would say that Tehari and Kachchi Biriyany portion is a bit small compared to price. Parking: A small parking lot at the back of the building.
Amazing food and very friendly staff
Food qualities so good and yummy service is awesome mostly the server Rumi behavior is peachful and the atmosphere is too good
Service from Rumi was awesome. The restaurant atmosphere was very nice, wash rooms were cleaned . Food taste 8 because we used to eat sizzling kabab platter at Madina Grill and its changed to Ruposhi Bangla now and the kabab platter we ordered was not sizzling taste. Please add the kabab platter as sizzling. Good luck team Ruposhi .
Our second time dining at Ruposhi Bangla, disastrous experience both times. Service on both occasions was very slow and disorganized, even with only a handful of guests dining in. Food was below average for the most part. One of our orders was a beef kacchi which was essentially a beef curry with alu mixed up with biryani rice. On top of that, the kitchen staff thought it would be acceptable for a fine dine place to serve a dish which clearly was taken out of the fridge, the container of food flipped onto the plate, still holding the shape of the box by the way, microwaved and sent over (photo attached). We even had to send it back because it wasn t even microwaved properly and was still cold in the middle. Safe to say we won t be going back to this restaurant for the next little while.
The food is really very delicious! The atmosphere and service excellent. Very attentive to what I needed. And the desserts are a luxury! Ill be back!
Food price is very reasonable, teate is also good. Lots os space to dine in.
One of the finest Bengali restaurant in town in terms of taste, went for breakfast on a weekend and was not disappointed with their breakfast thaali, We also took chicken bhuna which I d say is more like a jhaal fry. We also went for evening snacks another day. The koliza shingara and alu puri were amazing the moghlai paratha was par. The Kabab roll was delicious (they no longer have this on the menu)
Today I brought Prawn Malaikari and Chicken Malai Tikka from Rupsi Bangla Restaurant at noon. I have never eaten such inedible Ranna. The marination and grill of the chicken was not right. Earlier I liked Tehari so I brought these two items today thinking they will be good too but I was very disappointed.
Superb Bangladeshi food! Highly recommended!!
From the warm welcome at the door to the delightful flavors on my plate, dining here was an absolute pleasure. The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, perfect for a special night out or a casual gathering. The dishes were beautifully presented and bursting with fresh ingredients that showcased a true passion for culinary excellence. Each bite was a testament to the chefs skill and creativity. Service was impeccable; attentive yet unobtrusive. I highly recommend Ruposhi Bangla Restaurant for anyone looking to indulge in a memorable dining experience!
Ruposhi Bangla on Lawrence Ave offers authentic Bengali cuisine with impeccable service and a warm, inviting ambiance. Their Kacchi is the best in whole Toronto
Discovering Ruposhi bangla resturent was a revelation in Bangladeshi cuisine! Every dish we tried was a burst of authentic flavors, meticulously crafted with fresh spices and ingredients that truly transported us to Bangladesh. The ambiance was welcoming, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the region. From the tender kebabs to the aromatic beef kacchi biryani, each dish was a culinary masterpiece. The service was exceptional from Rumi and Afridi, with staff eager to share their knowledge and passion for the food. Whether youre a connoisseur of Bangladeshi cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore, Ruposhi Bangla Restaurant promises an unforgettable dining experience!
Amazing beef bhuna! Service was lovely.
Amazing customer service by Afridi and Rumi and the most delicious food!!! We ordered their beef and mutton haleem, and daal puris, and their bhorta platter. Everything was so authentic and delicious but above all their daal was outstanding!!! Cannot wait to come back again. Food
Great service and atmosphere. The portions are huge. Food
A nice place to visit with your friends & families! The cuisine was also delicious. Food
Exceptional food, exceptional service. Maybe it was because I wasnt expecting much based off of all these other terrible dine ins and restaurants in Toronto, or maybe my hopes were already down when I saw the surrounding dine ins nearby; but my god was I surprised. This place genuinely oozes tradition and Bangladesh I give the atmosphere 4/5 because there is Bengali music playing in the background which I know some might mind, besides this, clean bathrooms, quite even if its packed, a decent amount of seating, best of all free parking (there is a store with plenty of parking space thats across the dine in), Overall, my family and I, left quite satisfied. To the kid and girl that served us, we appreciate every but of it, thanks alot! Vegetarian options: Many Veg options Parking: Plenty of parking in a parking lot that is across the dine in
My family and I visited this restaurant on the weekend to try the breakfast menu. We ordered the breakfast thai (Vegetables, Beef Koliza, Daal, and 2 paratahs) and the 2 egg omelette with a side of Luchi. The food was delicious! We will be back again for sure.
I ordered a Kassi.they take my order and told me to wait 10 to 15 minutes. After that when I ask for my order they said they didnt take place my order. Again I wait for a while and they gave it for take out.after coming home I open the container and it was full of burn rice and burn meat.which was totally garbage. I just waist my $20.very unfair and unethical.
If you are craving for Bangladeshi food, this is the place you can visit without a doubt. Tastiest Bangladeshi food I came across in Toronto and has become my go to place. Beef tehari is my personal favourite. I m a big fan of their Bangladeshi breakfast menu. I think this is the only place that serves classic Murgir soup in Scarborough. Restaurant Ambience is 10/10 Staffs are extremely courteous 10/10 and food is simply 20/10!!
I recently dined there and was thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely amazing, each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service was equally outstanding, with our server providing attentive and friendly service that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.
We were very happy with the food and the excellent service provided by the waitress Rumi. We were about to go to another restaurant since they did not have a particular dish that we wanted, but she recommended another dish so we tried it and it was very good. All credit goes to Rumi.
The food was very good and the staff behavior was very good. You can try this hotel if you want
Everything is very perfect really Yammmme
First time trying Bengali food, I didn t realize they had a lunch time buffet so I had a chance to try a variety of dishes. Delicious, will be back to try more
Excellent service. The staff was awesome. Afridi, Rumi and Jannat and team was great. Food
We drove all the way from Michigan just to try this Bengali restaurant. Let me tell you customer service was amazing. Rumi and Alfredi were amazing. Very attentive. Food was fresh and delicious.
Thanks a lot Ruposhi Bangla to provide Bangladeshi authentic catering for our special day! The food was amazing!
Really good food. Everything was perfect. Thank you for wonderful service and food.
Everyone Enjoyed the food at my grandson s birthday party
Quality food and amazing atmosphere, for a great price. Best place to enjoy a family dinner!
I was searching a restaurant nearby..we just move in around the area..and i saw it online and me and my husband went to dine in for a try..i was reading reviews on this restaurant...and a big YES the food are very tasty..i ordered beef paya and mutton karahi and naan..its was absolutely tatsy..my husband tried their buffet menu..we both enjoyed our visit. We will absolutely recommend to friends and family..
Excellent service from Rumi with exceptional attention to detail for group of 6.
Tehari, kala bhuna and butter naan were delicious. Kachchi biryani was okay, was a little burnt. Service and atmosphere is good. The restaurant is clean and staff are really nice. Thank you Rumi for your great service!
We tried the butter chicken and mutton rogan josh. Our personal favourite was butter chicken. It was so delicious even indian butter chicken fails to impress me this much!! The naan was also good.It was so crispy. I even loved their polao. So flavourful and yumm!! Would definitely go there again and again. Oh!! They gave us complementary papor bhaja and tetul chatni. The tetul chatni was so delicious. Thanks to Ruposhi Bangla. The waiter was so well mannered.Cheers to that guy!
Must have bengali foods. Original bangladeshi taste. Highly recommend.
I went to get some take-out from Ruposhi Bangla. I ordered a kabab wrap and the fish combo. After waiting 45 minutes I got my food and went home. Instead of my kabab wrap, I just got the kabab. No Naan, no salad, no sauce. I called them and was told they would give me a wrap next time. Today I called to say my son would be picking up the wrap and what I received was just a cold Naan. No salad, no sauce and no kabab. Considering the inconvenience caused to me they should have complemented the wrap, instead of making a bad situation worse. In this climate of fierce competition among eateries, such practice is self sabotage. I also was not impressed with the fish combo special, especially after waiting 45 minutes. The fish and daal lacked flavour and did not taste like authentic Bangla cooking.
This is a good bengali restaurant. We took a Mughlai Paratha, a Chicken lollipop, a deluxe biriyani and a Kacchi Biriyani. Other items were good but the Kacchi biriyani contains too much oil, the taste was good of Kacchi. Due to too much oil in the Kacchi at one point we didnt feel like eating it. My suggestion would be not to make the Kacchi so oily. All of the other items were very good, and overall, we had a good dining experience in that restaurant.
Best bangla A+ Food
Ordered bharta combo along with other items via Uber Eats. Order was missing rice and daal from the combo deal. Seems like they often misplaced items from other Google reviews. Other than that food quality and quantity was good. Will I order again: chances are yes. But will be reluctant to order because of potential missing items.
Alhamdulillah I like it very much Everything.. just like my mind Food and consumption.. Thank you to all of Rupsi Bangla
The food was very good more than that the service was excellent and girls was very nice to us. Totally I was extremely satisfied with this restaurant

Their food is too good On top of that the environment & atmosphere is just perfect, I went there with my friends we had a great time. There serving staff were soo sweet to us. Best dine-in experience everrrr !!!
Very average food
Great spot for authentic bangladeshi food in the city, Very nice decor, searing and ambience. The food is top notch, the beef bhuna, biryani and shrimp bhorta were the stand out dishes . We really didnt have anything that wasnt to our liking, The Daal as well which is sometimes an overlooked dish was spot on. Just like moms cooking! The owner was there and made some great conversation and recommendations with us and helped our server out as well who seemed a little out of her element with all our questions on the menu but was still very helpful in explaining it all to us. Great parking in the plaza, Wouldnt bring a stroller in as have double doors, but they would have room if you did have to Kid friendly menu as well Kid-friendliness: Great menu options for kids
Ruposhi Bangla restaurant is a true taste of Bangladesh! The food is incredibly flavourful, especially their biryanis and curries. The staff whose name was Afridi was very friendly and attentive , creating a welcoming atmosphere. Its a must visit for anyone who enjoys authentic Bangladeshi cuisine.

One of the most authentic and delicious meals that Ive ever had. Service was exceptional, and the restaurant immaculate. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Had a great experience here at Ruposhi. We had the bhorta combo which honestly could be shared among a whole family because the quantity of the bhortas are a lot. Their service is also very nice. Really loved the servers. Great food!
Ruposhi Bangla: A Culinary Oasis As I stepped into Ruposhi Bangla, I was immediately enveloped in an atmosphere that felt like a warm embrace. The scent of spices danced in the air, and the vibrant colors of traditional Bangladeshi artwork adorned the walls. It was evident that this was not just a restaurant; it was a celebration of culture, flavors, and heartfelt hospitality. The Food: A Symphony of Flavors Where do I even begin? The menu at Ruposhi Bangla reads like a love letter to Bengali cuisine. Each dish is meticulously crafted, paying homage to age-old recipes passed down through generations. From the moment I walked in, they treated me like family. Their smiles were genuine, their recommendations spot-on, and their attention to detail unparalleled. They anticipated my needs before I even voiced them a rare quality in any establishment. A Birthday Surprise to Remember And now, let s talk about the surprise birthday party they orchestrated. I recently ate at Ruposhi Bangla and it was delicious! The beef kababs and tandoori chicken were really good and not dry at all. Everyone working there was super nice, and the place looked great on the inside. If you want some good food and a friendly place to eat, this is a good spot to check out! Food is very tasty and the place is very clean service was excellent!
We went to this restaurant recently. The food was great and also the service was good. But in the end, when we were done eating we had some food leftover that we wanted to bring home. So we asked for a few containers but the people who were working kept forgetting about it. We kept reminding them about it and still, they were forgetting we asked them at least 5 times and waited almost half an hour for it. The restaurant was not that busy at that time. So, please try to improve the service. We liked the food!
Very nice people there, food quality and quantity were very good.
Very good food and service. meal was cooked into perfection.
Excellent good and very testy.good environment and service also
Had awesome breakfast!!! Very scrumptious
Just such a fantastic experience. We missed brunch and were too early for lunch but Rumi the server went out of her way to ask the kitchen to accommodate us. And we were so grateful as the food is excellent. So tasty, not oily and not too spicy. Just very very flavourful, slow cooked and tender meat. Every single item was perfect. We will return for the lunch fish menu! Kudos to Rumi, best service I ve had in a while.
Loved the food. Great prices and delicious. Rumi was amazing - she took wonderful care of us.
Rumas service is good.
Really great decor, fantastic services. We got the rupchanda, pulao, and roast - all fantastic, almost like home. The bortas are a bit hit or miss - one of them was SUPERB, the other way just good (but still good). Our server Rumi also went above and beyond.
Such a perfect restaurant, to be honest. Compared to other restaurants, its a 10/10. The girl who served us (Rumi) was such a lovely person.
Amusing food with great service. We have ordered beef paya along with the breakfast thali. Very friendly stuff and authentic taste. However their play list could be better.
Hear me out, this place is such a vibe. Maache bhaate Bangali yet upscale ambience. I found this place on the walk but I d definitely go there again to try other dishes. Good date night place or family time with nice bangla songs in the background and hearty food.
Amazing authentic home style bengali food! The bhorta platter is a must, the daal is thick and delicious- pretty much everything we tried was a hit. Keep it up!
Had the 5 bhorta combo and hands down the best and most authentic bhorta I have had in GTA. A must try
Food is great. And service was just amazing.
I had the lunch buffet on a couple of weekends now and the food is great. The people there are also super friendly and show great hospitality.
We were blessed to try a fun array of snacks on our first visit to Ruposhi Bangla I have some tricky allergies and our server took time to show me all of the items in the buffet and make sure they were ok for me. We also enjoyed the fuchka, chicken kabob roll, chili and tandoori momos. Everything was so fresh and flavourful and yummy. I love the room. We were there mid afternoon and the light in the space was beautiful. They also display these beautiful paper crafts. The owner explained that a local Bengali artist made them. Super beautiful! My friends wished they were more hungry so we could try more things. We re already planning to come back asap. Treat yourself! And come hungry! Dietary restrictions: I have a coconut allergy and they were able to take great care of me
Amazing Bengali food. The best we ve had till now in Toronto. Their buffet is affordable and delicious. Buffet only for lunch on weekends!
Very welcoming and Kid friendly place.
