I ordered the oxtail with rice, and it was very disappointing. The oxtail was plain and lacked seasoning, while the rice was extremely dry. I expected much better.

Food is okay, however their service sucks!! You have to wait forever for someone to come if you wanna order more drinks or anything. Waitresses are mostly by the bar and pay not attention to the tables. Food

Windies is a place I would go eat at every time I was in the east end. However, after last night s treatment, I will NOT be returning. The customer service from our waitress, Sharon, was horrible to begin with and kept getting worse as the evening progressed. We had to ask for simple things like ketchup and water multiple times. We were then rushed to pay without us even asking for the bill yet. The plates were being cleared before we had a chance to pack up our leftovers. In the midst of that, she knocks over our bowl of soup on my mother and her white dress! An apology was mumbled and we were given a cloth to wipe the dress but the mess on the floor and by our feet remained while we were seated there. It was not promptly cleaned up nor were we moved. The only compensation was to replace the soup and when we informed them how upset my mother was about her dress, the waitress literally said well your takeaway soup was half full and now it s full, so bye Management, please train your staff to have basic customer service skills if you don t want to lose any more customers.

went here tor the first time since it has opened many moons ago. this restaurant was always busy when if pass by at night time. I called a head and was able to place my order over the phone. who ever your lady was she is kind and clearly has a great personality. she siad 30 mins and it took 20 mins. the only down fall was I didnt buy enough food ... everything was delicious. thank you.

Ambiance was adorable, staff fantastic and the food was good

Ordered the pepper shrimp, mixed fried rice, chicken wings and lomein. Pepper shrimp was amazing as it tasted really good and had amazing flavour, the mixed fried rice was ok and could use a little bit more seasoning to it. The chicken wings and lowmein were also ok. The chicken wings should be served with lime on top to give it some flavour! Overall the restaurant was great, and the waitresses were amazing.

Windies is the best. Their lunch specials are a great deal - so delicious and generously sized. The staff are helpful and they have prompt service. Highly recommend!

I am always impressed with the professionalism and excellent customer service I receive when I visit Windies. Their staff is not only friendly but also kind and attentive. They need to change their hrs we were told it closes 10pm and they have a website stating 11pm the owners need to update the site if this is how they deal business... also the waitress never said a word just some guy who was with her on the wrong side of the bar......funny how we watched a crew of ppl walk in after we left. I wont order food or deal with this place again they have much better west indie bars on eglinton

Pepper shrimp weren t as good as Twilight, but the portions of noodles and rice dishes are major. Prefer the pepper sauce here vs the sauce at twilight, both delicious and similar flavours (due to the type of pepper used) but the consistency was thicker and less vinegar based at windies

DISGUSTING ESTABLISHMENT!!! One of my family members ordered shrimp from here last week and there were MAGGOTS in his food ! Manager isn t even taking this matter seriously, or any of the employees. Only eat here if you don t care about your health and body.

Amazing food, friendly staff .

I would think that for the wait time and the expensive food that the food will at least be a little bit good but no there was an extensive wait time and the food was not the greatest. The stirfry rice and jerk chicken was good but the curry chicken and white rice it taste like someone forgot the seasoning. I haven t really tried their whole menu so I can t really speak on everything else but the fact that it was so expensive and the food did not come out how it was supposed to I would not recommend.

Very chill sports bar, staff was friendly and food and drinks were served quickly. Everything was delicious, especially the fried rice and pepper shrimp . Order to share; the portions are large, and we definitely had leftovers to tame home. There are lots of TVs and a billiard table. Needs change (coins) to play.

We ordered a tequila sunrise and it tasted like they had squeezed in the juice of a rotten orange in it. It was very pricey and totally not worth the money. Wouldnt recommend it.

The food is great and very tasty ! You get a large serving, freshly prepared it is worth waiting for. What you recieve is worth the money you spend. The service was also very good, our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. You wont be disappointed stopping in for a meal.

Consistency is key. I have always ordered the shrimp fried rice but I can tell its made by different people. Clumped white rice, no seasoning. Get your act together.

My go to place for fried rice and whole fried chicken, we are very particular with our food as we all cook and eat out a lot and Uber/Doordash/Skip at least 3X a week. Tbh everything on their menu are delicious and their prices are reasonable. Love love love Windies. Last night we Uber Eats a whole fried chicken with a side of chicken fried rice 45 minutes before closing and we hot it within 35 minutes.. so consistently good

Went for a birthday party with a buffet. The atmosphere was great and the food was excellent. Will definitely be returning for regular eat in and takeout.

Everything came late and cold. Some of the food we ordered never came and it took like 30 minutes for a plate of food. We came at 2:00 p.m and we lare still here right now which is 5:30 p.m, we are still waiting for our food along with that our server has a bunch of attitude and just threw the plates of food on the table. It was horrible and it takes more than 3 minutes for her to get one take out box.

Dietary restrictions: Our orders of dietary foods were very tasty especially the banga mary and the tofu. Kid-friendliness: The kids that were there seem happy with their meals even though child seats were needed.

Last visit: Curry chicken aint nothing to brag about. Roti was ok. First visit: Low atmosphere. My girl ordered a strawberry daiquiri, and it was dry. They made us pay the full price, even after the server joked about serving a virgin. I would know if there was alcohol because all I had to drink was a peanut punch. I dont trust this place. However, DJ Flex did play some good tunes.

food is good, prices are reasonable, staff over all is good (I miss shaq #RIP) the atmosphere is nice and often their events are good. Vegetarian options: Yes they have some options Parking: Free parking but lot can sometimes fill up quickly depending on the day & time of your visit. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly but weekends they do events so I wouldn t recommend going after 8pm with children.

Taste of real Guyanese food, felt like I was back home in Guyana.

After reading many reviews i was very disappointed in the food. It had absolutely no taste to it and the rice was soggy. I ordered the chicken fried rice and it did t have any cut up chicken on top. The chowmein was the same. No flavour.. I wont be going back.

I have been ordering from windies for over 6 years now and will never order again! I found a huge clump of hair in my special chicken fried rice. It looked like the food had been scooped off the floor as there was dust mixed in with the hair. So disappointing as this was my go to place for fried rice and chowmein.

Everytime I m suppose to take a picture of my food I never remember to until it s done lol! Foods delicious, very nice staff.

The food used to be amazing a few years ago. Today we ordered fried rice , chili chicken and chicken wings. I was very disappointed because nothing had flavor and the dishes definitely were not cooked today. Im annoyed at myself for not driving a little further to Starlite. Never going back to this place.

Great food, questionable service.

The food here is pretty good. My family and I have been going to Windies for years. We usually get the Windies Special fried rice topped with chicken. The spicy shrimp here is pretty good and the drinks are strong! If you are ordering your food for takeout I suggest calling it in first because it does take some time to make the food as it is fresh. The only downfall of this place is that there is very limited parking, Overall, this spot will forever be on the top of my list!

Ordered food today for a baby shower. They gave us the wrong food but unfortunately we didnt check before we left. Weve been coming here for years and have never had this issue. Anyways, now they want the wrong order returned to the restaurant before theyll even begin making our actual order. So the wrong food thats been sitting in our house over an hour, they want to give back out to other customers. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Also there was no apology for their mistake, no apology for charging us for the wrong food AND we have to go all the way back there now to fight with a rude waitress about a refund and returning old food that we didnt even eat, want, or order. This used to be our go to place for group orders and occasionally events, but NEVER AGAIN. And we telling EVERYBODY!!!

I always order the same thing, which is the windies fried rice special. It s a mix of shrimp, chicken and pork with fried chicken on top. The flavours are amazing and even better with their in house hot sauce. I love it, thank you.

Caribbean food! I will put that first as the name would imply boring pub fare which is what I was looking for as I was with 2 12yr olds and an adult looking for food between kids soccer. What a surprising treat. Food was delicious, even the picky kids loved it. Portions were massive, one portion for 2 people and likely have leftovers. Waitress was even better, very friendly and helpful. Place was definitely casual. I would definitely go again

Hosted a Dinner Party at Windies and had an amazing service by Staff and food was amazing. Keeping a dinner party at Windies was such a stress free and enjoyable experience with our guests. Food was great, our guest was awesomely great they all made it a great success. The decor by Roxevents Decor seal the deal making it feel like an upscal dinner party with elegance.

Went there for dinner after eating saw two rats running in the dining room never eating there again !!! Avoid at all cost !! Waiter asked me to wipe the rice of the table !! Horrible service

HAD TO GO ACROSS THE STREET TO KFC TO GET FOOD FOR MY KIDS BEFORE GETTING MY ORDER!!!!!!!!! Went here for my dads birthday. Been here many times before but this time made sure I am never going back. We showed up at 5 didnt get to order until 6. I ordered the oxtail and was told half an hour later that there was none. By 730 i still had not received my food so i went to get kfc for my kids as they were starving and TRYING TO EAT KETCHUP!!!!! After asking 5 times the waiter brought the bartender over who was completely disgusting in her response. She even went as far as to say thats not my problem when i explained this situation to them. Never go here

We just by chance got an opportunity to try the food from here from a lady who bought some and brought it to the school my wife and her works at for the staff and she tried the different dishes and feel in love with the taste. Coming to find out it was from Windies. When she left work that day she got some on her way home for us and weve been hooked ever since. Weve been back at least five to six times. I love the fried rice specials that comes with the fried chicken on top. Spring rolls are killer. The chicken is so good weve ordered that by itself. Really awesome food, generous portions and good service. At times they can be very busy during the week but thats expected with the quality of food they make. Keep up the good work. 11-5-2022 Had to adjust my rating as of today just based on the poor service weve received when dining in on now 2nd occasion. Nobody greeted us when we entered the restaurant, waited like five minutes before I asked someone who seemed to be working there if we just seat ourselves which he said yes. Long story short after placing our order and waiting and hour and a bit decided just to pay for the drinks we had and leave without the food which never came. Garbage service. Placed an order, told it was going to be ready in 20 mins. Took over 30mins. Place is understaffed and waiter was just fooling around and talking to other guests. Wont be ordering from here again for sure.

Amazing food, fantastic music and great ambiance. Had an awesome time here. The food is absolutely delicious. As with all restaurants, including our grocery bills, the prices have gone up. That does not take away from the fact that it is a great spot to get amazing dishes and step away from your own kitchen once in a while. Highly recommend this spot and will be coming back for sure!

Just had a very bad experience, I wouldnt recommend this place at all. The customer service by the lady who works there is terrible. I asked a few questions and she bluntly refused to answer any questions, then asked to speak to a manager, she also refused to do so. No professional behavior at all.

Was there on sat ...the food was so bland and terrible couldnt even eat half of it and threw it out and my roti legit tasted like it came from the back of the freezer or fridge it had this weird taste to it. I paid over 40 dollars for garbage basically. Not impressed
