2105 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1R 2Z4, Canada
Easygoing eatery with a modern nautical decor serving dishes such as clam chowder & lobster clubs.
This is simply amazing place for oyster lovers. They have plenty of oysters from different sources available. Seafood items were delicious and very fresh. This is definitely a go to place for seafood lovers.
For the second year in a row I brought my mother for her birthday (81st & 82nd) and I will continue to bring her. Their shuck for a buck is a great deal. Oysters are super fresh and amazing tasting. The steam mussels in white wine garlic sauce is one of the best we have had. We ordered extra bread so we can enjoy it more.

Always fresh seafood. Extremely reasonable prices! I pay a whole lot more for the same food in Vancouver! A hidden gem!
The best clam chowder I've had anywhere! Great selection and service. The prices are reasonable in comparison to others these days.
We had 1 dollar malpeque oyster and dozen of fanny bay special, clam chowder and paella. It was so my best clam chowder ever. Also the oyster was so fresh. Servers are so nice and friendly. I felt like I am on vacation at coast. I really enjoyed it.
Ordered the 2 dozen of $1 Malpeque and 1 dozen of Fanny Bay oysters for 2.5 dollars each. The oysters are really fresh, you can’t go wrong with the dollar oysters. Required to order an appetizer to get the dollar oyster special. If you have a large group, you should definitely make a reservation, waited foe about 40 minutes on Friday night. Overall a good experience.
This place has really great seafood delights. The oysters are their most popular dish and I would go here if you are looking for good quality ones. I ate their mushroom pappardelle dish and found it bland to the palate. The clam chowder was really good and would order it again. The service was pretty standard, nothing spectacular.
The oysters are absolutely divine. I went for the limited time offer of $1 oysters with the purchase of an entree/appetizer. I ve been twice now. Every single dish we ordered was delicious. The Steak is perfect, lobster is perfect. The ceviche was so fresh, perfectly salty and lemony, not overwhelming. Very nice and fresh flavours. Seasoning is simple but so tasty. They really allow the seafood to shine. The only thing I don t recommend are the raw scallops. They re $7/each and they had a VERY fishy flavour (not fresh and briny like an oyster), so if that s not your jam, keep it in mind. I m sure some people love them! Only downsides are it is a pretty expensive restaurant, and sometimes you have to wait pretty long for your oysters to arrive (but there was only one guy shucking during lunch hours so it s understandable). The staff is very nice, the manager (I assume) introduced himself to us right away and made sure we were taken care of. The waitress was friendly and prompt with her service. The restaurant itself is very nice looking as well ! Not the fanciest ever but definitely lovely. The first time I went the temperature inside was good. The second time it was pretty cold, I had to leave my jacket on, but it was also -19 outside so that s probably why. However, no one else kept their jacket on so it might ve just been a me problem! I will definitely be back (when I have more money haha!). Parking: Parking lot was pretty packed but we were still able to find a spot. Kid-friendliness: Saw lots of children there during lunch without issue.
Oysters were fresh and food was incredible. Service was great however the place was pretty loud and packed on a Friday evening. Will be returning for sure
Tried to get a servers attention for over 15 minutes just to ask for a menu upon being seated. All other tables seated after me were being served. Got up and left.
Kid-friendliness: They should more food options for kids. Food
Dianas is always a good time. I usually go for oysters and sit at the bar. The shuckers are very friendly.
We had 18 fabulous Oysters, scallops and tuna. They make great drinks: Martini and Mojito
Very nice oysters! Very nice service as well.
Ive been to other famous for oysters Toronto restaurants, but Dianas Oyster Bar is my favorite now. The food was delicious. Ive heard about this place but never went until last Saturday. Now I cant wait to come back and try some more tasty stuff. The service was excellent too. It was easy to find the free parking next to the restaurant. Great place!
Amazing seafood!!! An amazing date night spot or to go with your friends.
Parking: just got to gi round the building but you will find somethingb Wheelchair accessibility: easy in Food : 5/5 |
Great steak sandwich over lunch, crispy and juicy. I also enjoyed Fanny Bay oysters, but the malpeque are not so much. Great friendly service, I will back very soon. Diana s oyster bar is the place that I go to for oyster fixes, I have not been until today because of pandemic. I had the Fanny Bay today, fresh, chilled, refreshing, and filling. See the photos how robust they are. Only 2$ each, amazing value. The chowder was not up to standard, thickened by starch instead of rich cream, it is more like a potato seafood soup, disappointing. I am so happy that you carry Guiness Stouts on draft. Service was attentive and efficient, friendly. Full Covid-19 s protocol is in place, you must be fully vaccinated to enter. I recommend, beats paying parking downtown.
Service was amazing, staff was very attentive and knowledgeable Food was amazing and fresh Food
The seabass fish and the paella were super tasty and cooked perfectly well. The flourless chocolate cake is perfect too. A little bit disappointed by the size of the oysters, micro oysters !
Good local option for seafood.
Havent been to this location for more than 3 years. Great food, great service! Specifically they have $1 / $2 oyster promotion! Food : 5/5
Had a great time here at Dianas oyster bar! Started with the seafood platter for two, pan seared scallops and fried calamari fritti which were all delicious. Then had 3 dozen malpeque oysters with a couple drinks that were quite good. Service was very fast and attentive. They constantly came to check in and made sure everything was good. Great place, definitely recommend it
There is absolutely no doubt on the food and it s freshness as this is Diana seafood, however, I will not be back again to the restaurant for dine in but will go next door to get what I crave for and take home. There is no atmosphere at all, no table settling, no music and the service is somewhat like a fast food place and worst of all, for 6 persons, even they simply just dropped you all the food on the table, they force you to pay 18% service charge on you bill regardless. I am not a cheap tipper even I will still pay the same for such a service level, but the feeling of being force to pay for it is somewhat not a pleasant experience.
Im not a big fish eater, but my trout was delicious. Had my first oyster as well. Apparently very good if you like oysters. Service was fantastic
Service is slow. Food is mediocre. Servings are small.
Great service with good food and even got to see Dan Aykroyd in person in table beside us!
While they cleaned Oyster shells, they drop shell and my phone screen got broke..... this was happened on my 1st visit. And when I visit there 2nd time <on September>, they should advise it to client that ordering Oyster now might cause food poison since the weather is not that cold enough. I really suffered a quiet hard time to deal with this food poison..... I wont go there again for the rest of my lifetime.
Fanastic lunch! Service was very good too
Awesome!! Buck a shuck! Delicious
The CP value is very high, and there are often $1 discounts, so you can eat as much as you want! In fact, their appetizers and main dishes are also of a high standard, and the lamb rack I ordered is even more outstanding. Friends who like to eat lamb can try it!
Very expensive for a very normal see food. Nothing special but the choice of day is $39 which is very expensive for a small piece of fish and no sides
We love the oysters here (especially for buck a shuck). The service was great as well!
Ive been to Dianas several times. Recently I was there and had a seafood pasta dish I think it was seafood pesto. While the meal was tasty, the actual Seafood was minimal - three shrimp and two scallops as I recall - the pasta was loaded down with butter and oil. Unfortunately, it left me feeling bloated and overfull. The service was excellent but I find the ambiance has very much a diner feel and not an upscale dinner establishment feel. I also felt the pasta dishes were somewhat overpriced since it was mostly pasta with very little seafood. I realized food prices are up but I really didnt feel that the dishes matched the price point. Also, for a seafood restaurant they dont really have much of a fish selection on the menu.
Been here twice for birthday celebrations. The food is always so delicious. A staple in the neighborhood.
Suggest to the owner to invest in a water filter for the soft drinks
I like this place for oysters. The patio seating doesn t have great environment because it has what feels like an industrial environment around. Food is on the pricey end, but it s delicious food.
Super fresh oysters!
Wonderful experience .food fantastic drinks great service except. Parking: Large parking lot Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair parking available.
Wow, the best seafood Ive had in Canada.
Amazing place!!!
This is the place for you if you love freshest Oysters in large quantities. Love getting to know the staff and pick their brain on oyster knowledge.
One of the tastiest meals Ive had in a long time. Service was very attentive, atmosphere was just right and the food spectacular. I had a dozen oysters at $1each, the lobster, crab and shrimp roll with seafood chowder. Ill be back VERY soon. Fresh, delicious and well priced.
Great place for seafood. Thursdays are buck a shuck. Oysters are fresh and entree dishes are amazing. Highly recommend.
Our Server was Emily and she was friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Food was amazing. Been there a few times. If you are not been to this place you should try.
Food was outstanding and the staff was very curtious Total recommended Food
ever since i found out about this place 6 months ago, i ve been dying to check it out. i was left really disappointed. i ordered buck a shuck oysters which were good, but not completely cleaned out as i had quite a bit of shell in a lot of them. my fiancée ordered the salmon and loved it. i ordered the tagliatelle for my main, and like many other reviews, the shrimp was ginormous and the crab and lobster pieces were few and far between. it also tasted like leftovers. i seldom go to a restaurant and don t finish my food, but today i didn t. when the server came over, i explained my issue, but didn t ask for a refund. in hindsight, i should ve as i only ate a 1/4 of my dish. he said thank you for the feedback and he would let his manager know. overall very upset with my visit. won t be coming back.
Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Value: 4 Stars Overall: 4.5 Stars Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Diana s Oyster Bar and Grill for a birthday celebration and I must say, the restaurant exceeded my expectations. To start, we indulged in a variety of oysters from the east and west coasts, including Sun Seeker, Marina s Top Drawer, Lucky Lime, South Bay Blonde, and Glidden Pt, all of which were shucked perfectly and had a fresh and delicious taste. The condiments that accompanied the oysters were also delightful and expertly paired. As appetizers, we ordered the Diana s Clam Chowder (small, 7.00 CAD) and Appetizer Sampler (for two, 42.00 CAD). With each spoonful of the Clam Chowder, we were greeted with a smooth, velvety texture and a bold flavour that was a perfect balance of savoury and slightly salty. The creamy broth was rich and satisfying, making it the ideal starter for our meal. The Appetizer Sampler was an even bigger hit, offering a diverse range of succulent seafood options that showcased the freshness of the ingredients used. From juicy prawns to crispy calamari and juicy scallops, each bite was a taste explosion that left us eager for more. The sampler was a true testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs at Diana s Oyster Bar & Grill and a perfect reflection of their commitment to using only the finest and freshest ingredients in their dishes. The entrées at Diana s Oyster Bar and Grill did not disappoint, as I was thoroughly impressed with my Grilled Atlantic Salmon (30.00 CAD). The salmon was cooked to perfection, with a crisp skin on one side and a tender, flaky filet on the other. The shiitake and fennel cream sauce that was paired with the salmon was a perfect addition, adding depth of flavour to an already delicious dish. Additionally, the cocktails were a highlight of the meal, especially for those who enjoy sweet alcoholic beverages. I tried Blue Hawaii and Under The Sea (10 each) and was impressed by their flavours, although those who prefer a stronger liquor taste may find these cocktails lacking in potency. Overall, the food at Diana s Oyster Bar and Grill was delicious and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious seafood meal. I would like to point out that when making a reservation, it s important to be clear about your seating preference, whether indoor or outdoor patio. During my visit, I made a reservation for 7 PM, but we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for seating as all indoor tables were occupied and only outdoor patio seating was available. Our server, Wilson, was a true gem, providing excellent recommendations and being attentive, friendly, and prompt. He checked in on us regularly to ensure that we were having a pleasant experience and the food was to our liking. He truly made the dining experience exceptional. The seating at Diana s Oyster Bar and Grill was both comfortable and charming, as we were seated in a private booth area. Additionally, the restaurant offers free parking in their lot. The seafood market next door, Diana s Seafood Delight, operates a food service distribution center, providing quality fish and seafood to some of Toronto s top hotels and restaurants. In conclusion, I was thoroughly impressed and pleased with my experience at Diana s Oyster Bar and Grill. I cannot wait to return and savour their delectable offerings once again. kellychan360 Parking: Free parking available
Buck a shuck is always a good idea!
My favourite restaurant - love it!! Fresh oysters, usually friendly service, and wonderful fish specials. I especially love the whole Branzino. :-)
If you are looking for fresh oysters, they are the BEST OYSTERS IN TORONTO!
Nothing to complain about. Had 36 small oysters for $1 a piece. Had an appetizer of fried calamari both delicious. The best part was our lovely waitress.
First time at Dianas Oyster Bar and Grill. It did not disappoint! Caesar salad, grilled and fried calamari, rack of lamb, rib eye steak, salmon and seafood pasta were all enjoyed by the attendees. Delicious and flavourful. The location handled our Birthday party of 12 with ease and professionalism. Thank you for looking after us all so well. If you find yourself in the area, I recommend you give Dianas a try.
Excellent service. Seafood was so fresh and tasty! Can t complain about buck a shuck oysters
Amazing food! My bf and I just landed on Toronto and were looking for a spot to eat. We had the oysters for $1 each, crab cakes and the surf and turf. The steak was cooked to perfection, lobster was amazing, vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Good variety of sauces for the oysters. Crab cakes had a nice crust and aioli sauce. Amazing servive as well! 10/10 recommended!
Okay
They make you feel like you are a celebrity at this restaurant. The professionalism is amazing to top of a amazing meal This is what i ordered. Fresh Oysters to start as a appetizer, To the main course Surf and Turf. The lobster was fabulous with a perfectly cooked Steak. I Highly recommend Dianas Oyster bar and Grill. Parking: 40 parking spots or more
I came here with my husband for a date night. The only reason we chose Dianas was for the oysters and the oysters were the worst. Ordered a dozen kusshi and they were not fresh. Even waited 45mins for them to be shucked and was served the sauces in to-go containers. Horseradish tasted like nothing and was probably grated a week prior. I got food poisoning from the oysters and threw up that night. Overpriced and incredibly underwhelming. Also do not order the negroni, was the worst cocktail Ive ever been served. Very sad as I grew up in Scarborough and had good memories of this place from when I was younger.
Greta place mixture of fresh oysters...Malpeque, Acadian Gold, Lucky lime (delish), Raspberry Point EAST COAST Fanny bay, Kusshi (Deep Bay BC - very good, ) Paella Creme Brule Maple cheesecake
Seafood is fresh as usual. The special of $1 an oyster with the order of an appetizer is still on. We ordered a dozen of malpeque, 4 cherry stone clams, a
The worst service ever the waitress was rude we ordered some dish she said they did not have so we ordered another they brought both food was not good as well would never recommend nor would ever return to this establishment
Amazing time at Dianas as always! Great service and delicious food! The OG dianas !
The food was delicious in the restaurant; the atmosphere was nice and cozy, and it also had a market in the back that allowed you to buy fresh seafood. Worth the money.
We enjoyed our food and time here! Servers were so nice and prompt! The $1 oysters are BEST! I highly recommend it to seafood lovers. My husband & I have unlocked a new restaurant for date nights :)
Professionally run restaurant with amazing fresh seafood and an amazing selection of oysters perfectly shucked. Prices are super reasonable for such quality.
I typically visit this restaurant once a month to enjoy oysters and seafood. While there has been a notable difference since ownership changed hands, it remained a favorite. However, after yesterday, my opinion has drastically changed. We made a reservation early on to celebrate our daughters grad. Despite having a reservation and confirming we could sit outside, weather permitting, we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated behind a walk-in. They sat us in a cold over flow area and when asked if we could sit on the patio they said they were under staffed and the wait time would be much longer, noting the patio is 2 steps away from the dining room. We asked to sit in the main dining area as it was freezing and was told we should have made a reservation, ummm we did, but despite being on time, apparently, they gave our table away. After 35 minutes we finally had a seat and a server, we played an order for oysters and were told it would be at least 40 minutes as they just had someone call in an order for 200 oysters. How does that make any sense??? We could have been told when had been waiting at the door or the table, we would have had our oysters. Needless to say, we were disappointed. As a restaurant owner, I appreciate the challenges of the business, so I can also appreciate when the lack of service and attention leads to a bad experience. As for the mains, the Octopus spaghetti special was bland and tasteless, the $120 crab was cold, and the side was incorrectly delivered, so we had to wait. Overall, my $350 bill could have been enjoyed 4 times over at Red Lobster, where the service is far more consistent and enjoyable. Needless to say, we wont be going back to that location and am disappointed they ruined our celebration
Taste explosion
Food: We had three apps and two mains. The apps were amazing! Very fresh and vibrant in flavor. The mains were a bit lacking. Halibut was slightly overcooked and dry, and the pasta was not what I expected.
Everything great. 5 stars
Price is good, service was excellent. Oyster was fresh, but grill calamari and grill octopus is chewy.
I got food poison from your restaurant.
Very fresh oysters, and appetizers are generally tasty.
Always a great time here. Food is fantastic. The service is great. The food is fresh dn delicious. The paella wasnt great and I cant even call it paella, wasnt made the right eay. But everything else was fantastic.
My wife and I god food poisoning after eating a dozen of west coast oysters on March 16th, 2024. My wife always had oysters at other restaurants and never had this issue. We ordered seafood pesto linguini, fish and chips and a dozen of oyster. My wife had a diahrrea and vomited 5times after an hour from eating here. We didn t have a breakfast so it would be from oysters. Other food were all good, and oysters taste also good, but don t know why. The service was good.
WOW! The love of my life and I celebrated our anniversary here, now let me tell you, the staff, the food, the service, the ambiance as we rate our experience as a 5 star Michelin stars. Stefan (not Norm ..) was our chef, we are extemely thankful to Shelley and Eric who served us. 10 stars out of 5. Well done
Dianas was a wonderful experience. The food tasted great, and the server was very accommodating. The variety of fresh oysters were an especially memorable treat.
Delicious and super fresh seafood! Amazing service. Great cocktails and wide selection of wine . Highly recommend for a wonderful evening out or for a special occasion such as a Birthday or Anniversary cheers
Our party of four just had a lovely lunch at Diana s for my dad s 93rd birthday. From the reservation call the day before to the moment we left, the staff members were friendly and accommodating. Our server Gus and support staff treated my dad like a king! The food was terrific. The seafood was very fresh and everything was super flavourful. All in all we had a wonderful time. My dad hasn t stopped talking about it so we will definitely be visiting again! Wheelchair accessibility: There is accessible parking right in front of the restaurant and thought the dinning room is not huge, we had no problem getting to our table with my dad s wheelchair. One thing to note is the restroom situation was a bit tricky as there was an extra set of doors that don t hold open. Also, for anyone in a similar situation as us (female caregiver/male in a wheelchair) like many restaurants, there isn t an accessible family washroom so I had to take my dad into the ladies once it was empty. We made it in and out without too much difficulty and thankfully no one complained when we came out. :)
Food was amazing! Unfortunately the service we reserved from Rosary was absolutely disgusting. If you can treat people like myself and elder people with disrespect with your nasty attitude in a service industry then you should get a job where you don t have to deal with people or seek some help on how to treat human beings with normal respect. Spending a thousand dollars on food to be disrespect NOT WORTH IT!!!!!
We have not been to Dianas for a while, shame on us! We had an unbelievable meal, the seafood was so fresh and delicious and our server Rene was incredible! We will definitely be back on a more regular basis.
The best variety of oysters in the east end. But you pay the price. Always fresh. Shucker is always knowledgeable and if you want to learn, sit at the bar. Wait staff arent as informed. Meals are on the pricey side as well but tasty. Parking: Spots can be hard to find at peak times
The atmosphere and decor are lovely. Our server was nice and friendly. I felt he could have checked in on us more. The food was nothing special. I had surf n turf. My steak was not seasoned enough, very plain. Lobster Tail was a little overcooked, and the veggies and potatoes were ok but could have used more seasoning, I could make better food without paying this price. There are better seafood restaurants. I was very disappointed with the food, was not worth it.
So delicious food and great service!
Food was definitely 5 stars. Service a bit slow, but otherwise a hood experience.
My fav for fresh oysters
Great of everything the only downside is the price well it s my problem being pool not them. Lobster is very fresh I can tell by testing the sweetness of the lobster roll in the head, oyster is great I highly recommend sand dune for this season. Crab cake is good but a bit small and mid garnished that make it look not worth the price but trust me the inside is answer, it s filled with sweet fresh crab meat.
Too expensive
Amazing oysters, an incredible seafood platter combined with excellent service and value for your money. Highly recommended!
One of the best seafood places in the city. Excellent food and great service!
Love this place... I will be back soon...
Absolutely delicious, really enjoyed our meal and was quite family friendly. Only docked out a star because I ended up with food poisoning, possibly raw oysters, but possibly not even from this place. I dunno. Parking: Normal amount of parking Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible
Great fresh seafood, well prepared, prompt service. Recommend reservations, especially on weekends.
Overall I like this restaurant. I wish I could give it a 5 star, but a few things were off for me. The service is great, but we asked for the kids pasta to be packed up, and it wasnt. It was taken away and forgotten about. The food was over all lacking salt but tasty none the less. I wouldnt say worth the price tag, though. I know seafood is expensive, especially nowadays with inflation. I ordered the branzino- it was butterflied, and I felt like for the price, the fish was lacking meat. The beans and veggies were cooked well. The steak was cooked well but again a bit chewy. The pasta was amazing but again needed a bit more salt, and we just added some np. I did not like the beet salad, and I normally love beets. The crab cakes are great and packed with actual crab meat, and the calamari was fried to a golden crunch. We ordered a pasta for the kids, and it was so plain and flavorless that they both refused to eat it. I was going to take it home to spruce it up, but again, they forgot to pack it up for us. We were a party of 15 people seated in the back area. The oysters tasted great - but not the best weve had. The bathrooms are clean, but for the size of the restaurant, more stalls would be nice. Its a very cozy space. Id definitely go back to try more things. Parking: Theres parking, but its tight.. for dinner, itll get packed up. Kid-friendliness: The kids menu is saltless. My kids disliked their kids pasta with cream sauce very much. My kids like flavorful food.
Excellent seafood choices
My experience here is amazing. Loved the fresh oyster here, I have been to Rodney s, Pearl diver and I have to say this place has been the best experience.
Been here twice so far and thoroughly satisfied both times! The service is phenomenal and the oysters are one of the best Ive had in the GTA. The clam chowder also pairs well with the oysters. Definitely coming back
The staff / waitress was very rude. She did not want to be there and work at all! Not taking orders properly, talking back to people and rolling her eyes. Extremely unprofessional! Expecting to do 0 work and get 18% tip nowadays seems like nothing. There are lots of people who would like to do that job so please leave if you are not happy! Its not the customers fault! Restaurant food was good but the dated interior and rude staff brought down the value of the place! I would not visit again
Oysters!Oysters! Oysters! Need I say more! Oh their fried calamari is amazing as well! ALWAYS FRESH! High quality food for fair price! Whether you dine in or order takeout their Oysters will always be a hit, any they shuck them too! Their in house red onion vinaigrette paired with Malpeque oysters or any other sweet and salty tasting oysters goes great together! I also recommend trying the seafood platter! You get an amazing variety of high quality seafood for a fair price! Trust me you wont be disappointed with this place!
First time at Dianas but it will not be our last. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. We had the crab cakes and chowder to start and both were wonderful. Then we had the salmon and the lobster, crab and shrimp pasta. The shrimp were absolutely huge and both diners were amazing. This will be our new go to for seafood and fish
Had a really nice late lunch. After Christmas shopping we wanted to try Dianas as we drive by it all the time.... It did not disappoint! Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was great. We did not try the oysters... But everyone around us was enjoying them, so maybe next time we will give it a try!
Fish and chips were good. Service was great!
Parking: Super busy at lunch Food
Oyster selection was great - server was very attentive and very friendly - the other food items were okay
Good food, service was nice, still $1 oyster. Free parking.
We cater from here a couple times of year, Paul is fantastic to deal with.
Everything we had here was fresh and delicious. 1st we had the Oysters, then the clam chowder, and the lobster. We were thoroughly impressed with these items. Even looking at other peoples food coming out looked incredible. Well definitely be back to try more items. One thing I will say is that we never had any dessert. Another couple we went with had tried a couple of desserts and were not impressed by them, but I couldnt say that, as I never tried any dessert options.
Its always good to dine at this place - excellence in oysters, clam chowder, seafood, etc. Highly recommending.
Buck a shuck night. Oysters were delicious, beer was cold and a nice compliment to the oysters. Service was iffy, was good when they came, but sometimes getting the servers attention was an issue, not enough servers on duty. Overall, very good and will go back.
Wonderful seafood in Toronto!
I was overcharged on my credit card. Nobody noticed this until I told them . Next time they need to check the invoice
Excellent seafood restaurant with an amazing selection of fresh options (especially from their oyster bar). Ordered a few different types of oysters and thoroughly enjoyed the options. Had the seafood platter and thought everything was fresh and tasted great. Patio was spacious and the service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommend for anyone who likes seafood!
You will love it
Great selection of oyster
Been here many time, nice environment, nice service, great selection of oyster, other food were delicious. Reasonable price
I came here pretty often and never had problems. Servers are always 100% amazing, food is usually good too! However this time, I ordered for pick up (fried calamari and 50 oysters) to bring to my mother-in-laws house. The cocktail sauce (despite me asking for extra) were 2- 2oz containers with maybe a tablespoon amount of sauce in it. Horseradish was old. One of the containers had a blueish-green tinge to some of the shreds- we didnt use it, just in case it had gone bad. There was no spice to the horseradish, not even a little. The calamari was about 8 pcs of calamari and the rest were, what looked like, fried zucchini strips. A very disappointing visit for sure. I expected more considering the amount I paid for these. My rating is based on this experience because over the months/years, Ive been seeing the food quality diminish slowly after every visit.
Popped by for a quick lunch and everything was amazing. Super fresh tasty $1.25 oysters with no bits of shell. The mussels were so good in the white wine garlic and the clam chowder was thin but still tasted great. I will certainly be going back I think they are just as good as Rodney s and much cheaper. The service was also top notch
Oysters better than the food we ordered. Lunch menu is not hitting at all
Had a lovely evening here with excellent food and service. My go-to is the lobster, crab, and shrimp tagliatelle and their oyster special, which lets you order unlimited $1.25 Malpeque oysters if you order an entrée or appetizer (note that their soup and salad section does not apply). I love the tagliatelles creamy sauce mixed with delicious shellfish, and their oysters are always fresh and a great size. Our servers were very kind and quick to help our table, so it made the experience even better. However, we were disappointed by the portion size for the shrimp cocktail, which is a steep $22 for four shrimp. The room we were sat in also had an abundance of flies that frequently tried to land on us or our food. In addition, we had to wait 50 minutes for our entrées to come out. Half of our table came to eat solely oysters, so while one half of us continued to order oysters, the servers thought we were all working on our appetizers (likely referring to our oysters) and didnt tell the kitchen to cook the tables entrées, leaving half of our table hungry for quite some time. Because of this, I highly recommend telling the server to prepare the entire order all at once so that no one is left hungry and waiting. Negatives aside, we still had a pleasant dinner here and would be happy to come back again ordering our favourites! The oyster deal especially will have us coming back again and again.
A great place for a great dining & fresh seafood shopping experience, especially for Seafood lovers!
We eat Cesar but it was only lettuce
Cant believe parking is free at this popular Oyster Bar and restaurant. All the oysters are yummy and super fresh. They taste just like it came out of the ocean. The lemons and sauces bring a burst of flavor with the oysters. The seafood sampler is so good that you want more. Chilean bass is tender and melts in your mouth. Butter rice is fluffy and pairs well with the dishes. Best Caesar drink ever, the acidity and salty balance is perfect! The staff here are friendly and the service is excellent! Its obvious the regular customers love Wilson
It s expensive. Food is pretty good, service was first rate. Bill was a bit high.
Literally the best
Amazing scallops Ceviche
Paella was like a risotto, mushy and watery and the seafood on top was bland like they extracted all the flavours from it before putting it in. Oysters were decent but all they had to do was shuck it and they couldnt even do that properly with shards of shell in every piece. Mussels were just ok with the crostini dry and hard as opposed to crispy. Overall it is way overpriced and the food wasnt good at all.
This is the better Diana Seafood and the original. Always good service. good food and good drinks. My go-to for North American style seafood.
Excellent food, excellent service. If you want fresh seafood with a variety of options in Toronto at a reasonable price, then you need to head to Dianas. As a an added bonus, their fresh seafood market, which is located behind the restaurant, is perhaps the best seafood market in Toronto.
If youre a seafood lover, this is the place to go. All the items in the menu are very fresh!!!
Noisy
Food was good, but the prices of the food on the menu do not coordinate with the overall atmosphere and decor of the restaurant. Very pricey for a very laid back and outdated looking restaurant.
This was my first visit to Dianas...my friends held a surprise Divorce Party for me...and they know I love seafood. Dianas did not disappoint! I had the Seafood Trio (special of the day). My friends had fish and chips, clam chowder and a lobster rolls. There was a lot of sharing and tasting...everything was delicious. The restaurant was quiet at the time (1700H on a week day) and they very graciously allowed a cake from outside to be brought in. The staff were very friendly and our food was prepared quickly (and all brought out at the same time!). They also have a good wine list. I would highly recommend this restaurant and cant wait to go back again. The options were endless. There were so many other things on the menu that Id like to try.
Lamb was awesome!!!!
Seafood lovers have only one place to go.... Dianas.
One of our regulars! Pretty good food and decent service.
Oysters were really fresh and food was great , it is abit pricey for the neighborhood but we definitely will go back
Went with my family on Sunday for the first time to celebrate a birthday and had such an amazing experience. We had Gus to provide us his excellent service and recommendations. Checked on us multiple times and we asked him what his schedule was. Thank you for the delicious food and experience.
Food and service is ok. Wouldn t say it s spectacular. They don t always have the oysters listed on their website. Not sure if it s a demand Vs supply thing. It s a cozy atmosphere with comfortable seating. The bar is a good place for drinks and if you want to indulge in oysters displayed behind the counter of the bar, that s nice too. A hint of seafood smell when you walk in because the bar with oysters is right at the entrance. Not much to say for this place. Oyster price range from 1.75 to 4.50 per.
Mehhhhh.. Not Bad but Not that Great. I m probably the last person in Toronto to try this restaurant! After hearing so much about it I was excited! Started off with the Lychee Martini which was honestly one of the best I ve had in the city . The malpeque oysters were Fresh & yummy but they re just oysters, so if that s all you re going for, you won t be disappointed . After seeing multiple hot entrees pass by my table , I settled on the seafood trio . I was expecting to be BLOWN AWAY with flavour and freshness but this plate didn t even give a slight breeze . Wow! Every piece of seafood was under-seasoned and bland , I mean I could even taste the butter they claimed to have put on it . I had specifically asked for them to grill the items in garlic butter but after tasting what was in my plate , I would have settled for just some salt ! On the upside, the fries were good . The service was mediocre at best . Staff wasn t the most welcoming, everyone just seemed to be run down and tired . The ambiance was that of a diner or roadhouse , if you will. I went back a second time to see if I d have better luck , maybe if I order another dish?! Nope . Even the seafood pasta (/with saffron cream sauce) was underwhelming. I took my leftovers home, added some OLD BAY seasoning and chilli flakes and that brought the pasta to life . The food would be good if they just seasoned it. Also the staff seem as if they re just over their jobs and can t really stand the customers anymore The drinks , fries oysters were good tho ! I d go back for those (if I were in the area) .
We had an anniversary lunch and the food was delicious.
Had an amazing experience at Diana s! Our server Jaco was very attentive throughout our experience. An diverse selection of fresh, quality oysters with a delicious menu centred around seafood! For 2 people ordered 2 dozen oysters, the grilled octopus, lobster crab and shrimp roll, and steak sandwich! All were very delicious and super filling,
Great seafood restaurant!!
Extremely poor service, it took an hour just to wait for their takeaway order! Not sure what qualifications such a store has to say they offer a takeaway order service. Simply ridiculous!
Service was horrible , they gave my order to the wrong table picked it up and gave it back to us. I order on king crab and it was rubbery and cold as well as over cooked, Very disappointing Food
First time here. Great service and food. Will return again.
As per usual Dianas is fantastic!! Gus our waiter was exceptional. Thank you Gus. The food was fantastic and you cant get fresher oysters than here. Food
Excellent as usual. Best in the city.
I loved my mussels in white wine sauce and what to say about the soup
Amazing food and service, will come back for sure!
Nice restaurant to eat at if you like oysters. Although it s stated that they re kid- friendly, besides having high chairs, they don t really have a proper kids menu. Sometimes it gets too loud. Seems like they re usually understaffed because the wait times can be long. Their food is great but pricey.
I am very pleased with the quality of food and service.
It is my all time favourite seafood restaurant!
Today we visited this restaurant and it was great. Our waiter was a Greek guy he was amazing . We live close to Markham but we decided to drive to this location. Great service and food.
My first time here and we selected weekday lunch to prevent busy hours. Food was fresh and good, but the waiting time is horrible. Waited 15 minutes for appetiser, then another 30 minutes for main dishes and oysters. Not only us but so did other tables. Although we were hungry, we were not dare to order any more hot dishes because we are afraid of the waiting time. A good restaurant should handle the dining experience too. Moreover, the parking lots is not enough.
Fantastic soup oyster
A popular Scarborough restaurant thats known for fresh seafood, whether dine in or for pick up at the supermarket located behind. Overall service was very friendly, attentive, and efficient. Scallop Ceviche: 2/5 did not resemble a ceviche as the scallops, along with the ingredients, were not diced. It looked like scallops on a bed of mango salad, I do wish they added more garnish, lime, and a toss to enhance this dish. Oysters: perfect 5/5, Cannot go wrong we had their Kusshis, Malpeque, Acadian and Fanny Bays. Seafood Stew 5/5, packed with delicious seafood broth, clams, mussels, crab legs, lobster tails, this dish had it all.
