Amazing Shawarma Restaurant in Scarborough

I really liked the beef Shawarma taste. Plus, there is a good portion of meat!!!

Ive been eating at this location daily for almost half a year. While I cant speak others, their service and food have been top notch and very consistent. I would say, Ilias (the general manager) and Nasir (tall with glasses) are the best employees there as they have always made my plate the same portions regardless of the circumstances. If youre lucky enough to see them working, Id recommend you ask for them specifically. They make sure to load my plate and have always given me extra portion sizes regardless of how busy it was. Thank you for the continued blessings!

Stay away! The stuff used a knife to remove plastic wrap from raw chicken and then used the same knife to carve cooked meat off another spit for someones shawarma.

The shawarma was average, but the problem was the service. They put very little sauce on my chicken shawarma plate. While I was in line, a girl asked for more sauce, and the server gave it to her without saying anything. However, when I asked for more sauce, he told me I needed to pay for an extra spoon of sauce. I should mention that the girl was Caucasian, so it seems she got the extra sauce for free because of her race? How does that make sense? A restaurant run by immigrants discriminating against their own people?! Is that fair? I recommend that the restaurant management ensure consistent service for all customers, regardless of their race, gender, etc. It would be great if they could put more sauce on the dishes initially and not charge extra for a reasonable amount of additional sauce. This small change could significantly improve customer satisfaction and fairness.

Good taste and great service for an affordable price!

This place has become increasingly dissatisfying in both their service and their food. Have left this place extremely dissatisfied the last couple of time, the most recent one had to cancel my order as after waiting for 15 min they had not even started on it...Do Not Recommend!!!!

I ordered one chicken shawarma and i only got veggies in it, no chicken at all and no one was picking up the call.

This place has really gone downhill since the last time I visited. I ordered two chicken shawarma wraps and they were barely filled with chicken or any toppings. Very disappointing.

This used to be a great joint a few years back but recently the quality has dropped. Shawarmas are loaded so you get the best bang for your buck but they put way too much sauce, and the vegetables have been left out for a long time late night, really stale and not in good condition. One time they had old tomatoes really mangled up looking and threw a fresh batch right on top. Not the best for hygienic food handling.

Visited many times because of the quality and taste, but on my visit last night, I ordered the chicken shawarma, and the taste was average. They are charging 25 cents for each extra spoon of dressing sauce, and the spoon using is very small as compared to regular. The pita quality is the worst.

Iv been to 6 countries over the world. This shawarma place is probably the worst one. This is from my heart. Waited in line for shawarma chicken. The chicken was filled it was not done. It can feed like 30 people. Nope 1 guy comes orders and the worker says the guy infront of you is taking all the chicken. So get beef. I m like I just need 1 sandwich. He s like nope he s fasting. I m like brother I m fasting too. Obviously he s discriminating because the guy that wa ordering was a sheikh lookin and I was a regular guy. So he thought I wasn t fasting. No one stood up for me. Never gave me the sandwich because he has his favorites. 0

I ve come here for over a decade and all of sudden the they won t make my shawarma like they had for me previously. They also won t respond to me when I text the number they posted on the door for any concerns. Last time I tried to get a shwarma even that location that s out of my way refused to make it crispy even though there was nobody else in the place and they are there getting paid anyway. I m 60?? Do I not matter anymore even though I ve supported the place for a decade? Don t get old. :( I ve had time to chat with the owner. It didn t go well. Apparently 60 yr old French men don t deserve to be treated like they matter. All I ask is that they make my shawarma well done lone the last decade. They won t and Nasir won t ask his employees to treat me like I matter. I guess I don t matter. I m old and irrelevant. So I did what you asked and contacted you. I said that I don t want free food and only want you to ask your employees to take the time to make the shwarma like they used to for me for over a decade. You won t do that for me (costs you nothing to do this if you wanted) even though you pretend to be interested in helping me here. Am I too old to matter?? Too French Canadian? I m willing to post our conversation here if you d like. I m too classy to do that despite your last interaction. with me. I will if you want. Maybe I m in the wrong.

The name says it all! It really is amazing. We discovered this gem and frequent it for work lunches. The pricing is really good. The food is fantastic. The shawarma is always so fresh. Good toppings, and the sauces they use are delicious. I havent tried, but I heard the burgers are great also. The gentlemen working the counters are always friendly and they work very quickly. Definitely one of my favourite places for shawarma.

Ive been coming to this location for a long time, maybe 5+ years. Never been disappointed with the food or service, you just gotta be patient and ask if you need something. Ive been having the chicken shawarma plate with rice and salad and they fill them up properly. There are times where they fill a bit less but if you ask they dont say no and fill it up some more. Ask and you will receive but be kind as they are human too. The chicken shawarma Wrap is also really good as well, same thing they fill them up properly. Id say get all the sauces they are all good, I get them to put all the sauces but extra. The prices are fair especially for the portions you get. Like I said if you want something like a bit extra meat or salad, whatever it is just ask they wont say no but ask in a nice way of course.

Rude and terrible service. Food servers should learn how to have good manners - itll make the world a better place by putting it into actual practice. My kid has food allergy to the sauce and we asked them to separate sauce into a different container in the same amount - not more, not less. This way other people in my family can still enjoy the sauce. They are making the assumption that we are receiving more by using a container and called us fraudsters, and said they should charge us $5 for the sauce. First of all, if you are a skilled worker, you would know how to scoop a small amount or the same like how you would normally do when pouring into the takeout box. You do this at least a hundred times a day. You are in control of your own hand as to how much to give us. Learn to use your hand that is connected to your brain to do that. Calling names and accusing someone of something is not nice - we are all adults here. And be considerate to the health needs of others. This place is nothing of Amazing - just shawarma and bad service.

Dont trust the high reviews. Unsanitary. Dont wear mask properly. Touches money and food without washing hands. Disrespectful staff. Smaller portions and higher prices. Never returning. Dont recommend.

I went to Amazing Shawarma last weekend. It is very busy place, lined up for few minutes to get turn to order. I ordered 3 chicken shawarmas wrap and waited another 15 mins to get ready. We took out and ate in home. It worths what you pay . Just advise to keep the store cleaner.

Shawarma was mediocre at best but the service was not great at all. If you pay cash you re expected to receive change, no matter if it your change is 5 dollars or 5 cents. nobody actually cares about 5 cents, I would ve left it as tip anyways, but the fact that you didn t give it back tells me that you re dishonest.

I dont know what these guys are smoking. Ive been here several times usually no problems but the last couple times its like they are asleep. they ask me several times if I want beef or chicken. I always get a plate this guy fills it up with fries and goes to skip the salad. When I ask for it he is rude and barley gives me any. I ask for light sauce and he smoothers it. I had half a mind to walk out and go somewhere else but I instead have decided to never go back.

Came into what looked like rotten beef from yesterday still on the cooker. The chicken looked fresh so I ordered the chicken shwarma. I wish there was more meat as the wrap was 80% salad and 20% meat. The garlic sauce wasnt as good as Im use to and had an off taste.

Last Saturday I got 3 shawarma one beef 2 chicken it took so long time to take my order during garnish he tried to mixed my beef shawarma with chicken I don t know why, when I brought my food to home my house far from the store is like 4 minutes, my shawarma was too cold and the beef and chicken was not fresh at all the meat was maybe 20% and 80% was salads,just a garbage waste of money and time never go back to this store they are bunch of crooks and cheaters .

I am more than confident in saying that this is one of the best Shawarma places I have been to thus far. The wait-time was relatively short, and what I ordered (chicken kabob plate) was made in the exact way that I asked the workers to prepare it. Overall, great service!

The meat being used is not high quality. The chicken and beef. Not what it used to be. No longer returning. The fries is good though. Not the chicken and beef. Low quality. These guys are awesome here. The service is wonderful, the quality of food is delicious, the restaurant is fairly clean. I say that because unfortunately high school students frequent through here and as expected they are children, so it can get loud-ish at times when they are present! The only thing I DO NOT agree with is that these poor guys arent allowed to accept gratuities as per their leader. Thats ridiculous in my opinion because its the food industry, regardless on the Halal part. They are not begging for anything but im also not ok leaving my extra money that I wanna leave for them in that cash till! Soooooo I strongly recommend this place again because the quality and service is awesome! Parking: Depends on which time of the day you go. There is an international college next door so sometimes it may be tricky getting a spot!

Got the Chicken Shawarma Platter, the portion size is good and the rice is something Ive never tried before..it was interesting..had some herb flakes in it. Pretty good! And the guys working there are super nice & friendly

Im in my 20s now, and Ive been coming here since I was a teenager since this place is in my neighborhood, and the quality of shawarmas are pretty decent. I come here because there portions are generous for the price point, compared to other shawarma places, and its good for a quick bite. I would highly recommend the shawarma plates. They fill you up and there highly flavorful, especially if you add all the sauces.

This is my new favourite Sharwarma stop! The food is always fresh, always delicious and always the best value. Considering the rising costs of food and labour, these guys are the only ones still doing it like pre pandemic, pre inflation. Not only is their shawarma amazing, the chicken and the beef burgers are cooked on the spot and just simply delicious. My family and I come here at least once a week for our shawarma fix.

I like the food here so I come to this place regularly. I mostly buy Shawarma plate here because the Basmati rice quality is very good and they make it tasty. But recently they replaced Basmati rice with thick rice which is not so good. Please get back the Basmati rice, don t bring your quality down by changing to thick rice.

I used to have shawarma plate every now and then due to its excellent rice quality. However, times changed and rice quality deteriorated day by day. Never gonna have that again till they bring old quality back again.

Food is okay. The prices have increased but the portions have decreased. The quality is a hit or miss depending on who handled your order at any time of the week. As a side observation, some of the guys working behind the counter wear masks below their nose. Might as well cut a hole in your mask if youre not going to wear it properly. Update: Dropped by yesterday and was shocked to find that they jacked up the prices. Meanwhile, the quantity and quality of the food have gone downhill. Did the business change management/owner?

Ordered this on Doordash. Big portion, taste is just okay. I prefer a more garlicky garlic sauce. The beef was a little dry. Potatoes wedges were good though. Overall is quite average

Quality of food has gone down. Use to buy here a lot but now its not as fresh. The food is slightly stale tasting. Plus, the servers arent friendly and it seems like its annoying when you ask for more or less of an item (preferences). Please make the platters fresher and tastier like you used to!!

Use to love this place but in the past year, they raised prices and took two ingredients off their menu. That would be the peppers and that cabbage coleslaw type thing they had. I wont return till they bring back ingredients they charge me money for. Shawarmas there dont taste the way they used to which is why I stopped coming here.

I would like to give this place not even1 star. Food was very bad and they just want to make money only. They don t care about customer values. Worst customer service. Last night I ordered with fries and chicken the box filled with 99% of fries, just little bit of chicken on top of it they charge almost 13$ so expensive and food was very bad. Been going here for a couple months now and lalalaloved it even recommended it to a few of my friends.. but i think something must have changed they use to give such big portions but now it s not the same anymore :( also, really loved the beets but have ordered a few times now and there were no beets i thought there was some sort of shortage issue but now cant be sure hope they bring back their good quality ingredients and most especially the BEETS.

The price and portion sizes are good. The overall food is worth the price, they need to improve their salads.

Came to get 6 Shawarmas and placed my order first. Someone else came in after me and place 3 Shawarmas and the workers decided to complete their order first. The Shawarmas are good here but workers and their system is very very bad. This happened on July 3rd at 1:40PM. I hope management takes some action and retrain their workers on order processing.

I would love to share this amazingly awesome shawarma joint in Scarborough. Both my fiancee and I (he had a falafel wrap and Mines was chicken with an extra scoop of chicken) and it was super delicious! An amazing joint! Prices are very good and the portions are huge! They aren t cheap with their shawarma and their meats are always fresh, well marinated juicy and cooked to perfection. Their sauces are also very good! This place is definitely a hidden gem in Scarborough. Workers are always very kind and make sure to properly make your meal. Today I went to amazing shawarma by noon took three wraps and two plates all mix had my relatives come in from USA asked about where do they get meat from the person explained us in an amazing way where they get the meat from. Really amazing customer service don t know the persons name but would really thank him he wears he gave the best suggestions what to take and what to add on he was on point thank you and yes please don t judge a book by its cover really loved the food customer service and place.

Friendly service, clean-looking restaurant, and delicious falafel. What more could you want? The man behind the counter was wearing a mask even though there was plexiglass between the customer and counter, so you know they take safety seriously. Lots of parking, and easy to find (around the side from Freshco).

Have been to this restaurant many times in the past three years and every visit has met my expectations. Food prices are always affordable and never too over the top for each item on the menu plus I often get discounts on my orders. They have never increased their prices and neither have they ever decreased their quality of food. Each and every item on the menu always tastes delicious and is exactly what you expect from Middle Eastern food culture. One of the reasons their food always tastes great (which Ive personally noticed myself) is that their toppings are always fresh and they have a really good variety of toppings well, which you cannot find in a lot of other Shawarma restaurants in Scarborough. Not only the food is great, but the dining and packaging is also clean and proper. The employees are completely respectful and kind towards customers. They are also extremely understanding of the customers demands or conditions (such as changing gloves immediately for vegetarians). Overall, this is pretty much the best Shawarma restaurant in Scarborough and if youre craving Shawarma Id highly recommend going here rather than other places!

For all them hungry, living on the budget or just smoked a reffer and wanna satisfy their munchies quick... Go there under 15$ youll get your fill. But be careful its high calorie meal plus its addictive baby.

I think I m being generous at 2 stars. My son suggested this place which while he was attending school nearby often used his lunch money to get a good meal here, and I truly believe that it was good 2 years ago when he attended. We ordered the 2 shawarma special and a third shawarma sandwich for his brother. The meat is cooking on a spit like you d expect in any typical shawarma joint. Toppings is where I saw the first red flag. They had generous amounts of onion, turnip, lettuce and I guess coleslaw. There was white sauce which I ll assume tahini and hummus and some other garlic concoction. We ordered rice and fries as well. Let me start by saying I ve never seen this much meat put on a single shawarma sandwich, ever, without asking and paying for extra. Had I done that it would have been far too much for even two people, as it was I could not finish more than half. The same applies for the veggie toppings, this was one solid wrap/sandwich and significantly more than enough for one person. My issue was when ringing up the meal, we were charged for plates that also come with a drink, which we did not want or request. The falafel was cooked well and was crispy but had way too much curry for my taste, well that s what it tasted like. Will I go back? Well as Soon as we got outside my son said before I could comment, never again. Made me smile because we were on the same page. If you are looking for quantity you likely won t find a better place but as for quality, I ve always had a better Shawarma wrap any place else.

Probably one of the worst chicken Shawarma I have ever had . their chicken and sauces have no flavour to it. I threw the whole chicken bowl into the garbage .

Have been to around 10 shawarma spots in Scarborough as per the Google results and blog recommendations.... Hands down this is the best shawarma spot .... Customer service is awesome .... Shawarma is simple, tasty and the portion size for the amount you pay compared to the other shawarma joints is awesome.... total value for money!!! Have been a regular customer in this joint for about 2 years now and will be back for more.....

Just picked up 2 Shawarmas, great price!!! I m a nurse & I didnt mean to observe for any signs of improper use of gloves, but these guys are very conscious about changing their gloves & handling the food. Highly recommended

The manager and the staff are very nice people , very kind and their customer service is the best!! Not just that, their food tastes amazing, they have quality food which looks nice and tastes good too. The food will always taste and look fresh. I really recommend this place.

Hey guys I loved your food when I ordered the first time, so I ordered the same shawarma plate second time. But everything was good except the rice was off and I am also a chef so I recommend please keep the rice more refrigerated while we had 40+ degrees Hope you can fix this problem will still support our local business. I get food from here often but the last time it tasted weird and funny. The next day I got diarrhea and food poisoning. Just for context, that was my only meal that day.

Food is good but some servers don t wear their masks properly. One server s mask was not covering his mouth and nose properly and even constantly touching his eyeglasses while preparing the food.

I bought 6 chicken shawarma today. The amount of both chicken and salads inside were very less compared to previous purchases. Their quality is getting worse recently due to less experienced and unprofessional staff.

One year ago I gave a 5 star rating but Im back a year later giving a one star rating. The quantity and quality of the food has decreased by ALOT and Im more than disappointed right now and very upset with this.

Weve ordered from this restaurant twice before, third times a charm right? We were not so lucky. Our uber eats order was 2 plates and a shawrama wrap. After it arrived lukewarm, we cautiously proceeded to eat and chalked it up to the delivery travel time. The food was not fresh, certainly not as we experienced it in our previous orders. The meat seemed like it was rotating on the shawarma contraption for one too many days. No one finished their meal, it was too risky a task even though we were all hungry from the days adventures. Not so bad right? Except everyone got sick and I interrogated the food consumed throughout the day by each member, it was definitely the not so amazing shawarma. Note: it was difficult to post a 1 star review given the current climate for small businesses, but I had to share my poor experience. I will continue to support small businesses, just not this one.

We previously ordered from the location on Eglinton and we were quite pleased so, we decided to give this one a try as well. We ordered two Shawarma salads and they both were fresh, crispy, flavorful and filling. We used Uber Eats and, this location had more choices for the toppings like Stuffed Grape Leaves, Mixed Beans, etc. so that was much better compared to the other one.

Ive ordered in the past pre-pandemic and the kebobs were a lot larger. Ive noticed since this pandemic has started that the sizes of the kebobs are much smaller. The only consolation is that the price hasnt changed. If they start to charge more for less quantity then I will have to take my business elsewhere. On a side note, you have three guys working the front counter wearing masks. However, two of them have the masks just up to their noses. Whats the point of wearing a mask? Might as well cut a large hole in the mask and wear it like that. I might stop going to the Midland location because of this.

This was a go to shawarma place for me for a long time. Their food is great. Haven t been since covid started, but the guys inside only wear masks around their mouths, so that s a no go for me.

great place for late night shawarma! I always get the beef shawarma. So cheap and so stuffed! Always quick service and i love that they change their gloves for each customer.

I eat here alot I like the cheese burger deal and love getting a mixed shawarma wrap
