The food quality at this restaurant is excellent, and the front desk staff, Anagha, was incredibly helpful. Great service overall!

Fairly simple menu, but tasty food and pretty fast service. One of my go-to options for Kerala food in Scarborough. Especially their puttu and fish curry are delicious. Parking: A small shopping plaza with enough parking spots most of the times. If parking is full, there is a Shoppers right opposite with a huge parking lot.

The food was good, I would suggest egg puffs and cutlet which were really good. The customer experience was exceptional. We called the store in advance and staff named Gowri helped us in explaining and guided us through the menu.

Oruma bringing the flavors of Kerala to Scarborough. It s one of my top spots when I m hungry. I absolutely love their parotta, beef roast, appam, Kerala-style biryani, egg puffs, and beef cutlet. And the kingfish curry? It s incredible! Give them a try, and I m sure you ll be back for more.

Fantastic experience ordering from Oruma, catered for 4 events over a few months! Delivery was on time, with outstanding cutlets and excellent biryanis (mutton, goat, chicken), although mutton was my favorite. Two misses: Skip the chill beef and pineapple rices. Phenomenal parotta and good chicken curry, their fish dishes are a must-try. Impressed by its appeal to diverse tastes - even guests unfamiliar with this cuisine enjoyed it. We had Oruma chefs come on site to make dosas and omelets in a tent, and serve as well- it was a hit. Friendly and talented staff, highly recommend! Anajha was wonderful!

While visiting Ontario from Vancouver, some friends told me about this spot, so I decided to pick up a mutton biryani and a few snacks. Let me tell you it was delicious and totally worth it. Vancouver doesn t have a lot of Kerala-style options, so I was pumped to try this place, and it did not disappoint! I have no connection to the owners, but I m genuinely surprised by some of the negative reviews. Don t let them sway you; this place is fantastic! The staff was super welcoming, and the vibe was great. So, if you re in the area, definitely give it a shot. Good food deserves to be enjoyed, no drama attached. To the chef and owner: you re doing something special here. Keep up the amazing work, and fingers crossed for a Vancouver location someday!

Please never order chilli chicken from them. Ordered medium size and got only 4 pieces of chicken sinked in soya sauce.. couldn t eat because of its sour taste and chicken tasted old. Not at all recommended this dish.

Lunch, snacks, dinner, oruma is a go to place with friends and family. People there, are so lovely, and their food is at top level quality. The taste of the food here will never changes like other similar restaurants, and the price too. Ive been going here for 2 years, what I noticed so far is that theyll never compromise on the quality of their food and the consistency.

Yesterday I m ordered one chicken fried rice. Unfortunately it was not good only few chicken pieces I can find out from that and the taste was not that much great.

Ordered the mutton biryani. The taste was exceptional and beyond amazing but the pieces were as hard as rock. Its my humble submission to the owners to pressure cook the mutton. The masla and rice came together so well that its a huge let down when the pieces were literally inedible. Got the podhi chor too n same applies for the beef (though it wasnt as hard as the mutton) Second experience with them was even worse... Mutton hard and horrible and beef cutlets stale and smelly. Not coming back.

If you are going for a dine in, just keep in mind that it is a take out focused restaurant, just in case, if they didnt get you a glass of water after a meal.

Then I felt a sadness and tiredness. There is no washroom, a small washbasin (as of Jun24), one has to adjust ones hand and wash oneself in that washbasin. Food is ok.

Its the 2nd time I am getting bad food experience from Oruma. I tried mixed pothiparotta and chicken pothichoru. I had bad experience in food quality. Both chicken and beef are not good. Got only the bone parts of chicken, no meat at all. Beef quantity is very minimal. The price and quantity doesnt match.

I have tried multiple dishes from this restaurant, most of the dishes are tasty, love the Kerala style Biryani, Avyial is on the spot, parota is hit or miss depending on the freshness. The main problem is thee chicken pieces they are too boney, more than half of the dish is mostly bones and for the price charged the meat quality can be better. Mutton was chewy...the beef dishes are really good though. Wanted to give 3.5 or 3.75 mostly for the taste.

In Scarborough, this is the greatest spot to have Keralite food. It is also excellent for snacks that satisfy our hearts and stomachs. The proprietors, Mr. Akhil, Mr.Rajesh, and his team greets everyone with a smile on his face and a warm heart, making his courteous service the nicest part. The food consistently impresses me, regardless of what I choose, and Im always satisfied from the appetizers to the desserts. My family particularly loves the Paal kappa dish. I went there and bought biriyani and it costs 17 dollars, not tasty, even the rice they use is not of the best quality, only two small chicken pieces and for pickle no slice and yogurt was watery, no onions in it. honestly for 17 dollars not worth and am not satisfied with the food .

I recently ordered food from Oruma restaurant and had a mixed experience. I appreciated the in-house-made porotta, setting it apart from other Kerala restaurants that serve frozen ones. However, I was a bit disappointed as the porotta tasted slightly bitter, impacting the overall enjoyment of the meal.

Today I ordered a kanthari Chicken mandi from there, the food taste but while eating I saw a dead insect in my food.
