Queens Take out & Catering in Scarborough

Quality has fallen off. It used to be good. Bought Kothu roti, was so bland and flavourless. Won t be going back here again.

I recently started going to this takeout place and love it. Their Roti, samosa and vadai are really good. I haven t tried other stuff. Best vadai I have tried so far. Parking: Plenty of parking so not an issue. New complex so looks great.

I love this place , many of the 1 star reviews are from nearby restaurant trying to sabotage the name , if you know you know! Not trying to support blindly I go here so often I know the food and the people! They have awesome chilli chicken and roti must must.

We ordered one sea food thali and one chicken thali from here by Uber eats. It supposed to have 5 curries, Pappad and dried peppers. I got only three curries for my chicken thali and didn t get papad and pepper for both. When I called them they hung up without saying anything. Totally dissatisfying.

Tamil restaurant advertising in Sinhala. The restaurant is ran by a tamil man with 90% tamil customers but have no respect. As of today i wont give them any business. All these day i use to tell all my friends and family but now they have lost me and all my support.

I ordered a sea food biriyani and chilli chicken today through Uber. I actually am surprised how you guys thought that it s okay to send it out with some old rubbery fish that has been fried multiple times. And i was lucky enough to find a piece of squid in the rice. The chilli chicken was stone cold. You guys didn t even bother to heat it up? is this how you serve food? Please serve the food upto standards. Super disappointed and disgusted.

We have been getting rotis and samosas from this place for a while now and have never been disappointed. Kitty, the customer service lady is always nice and helpful. We met with the owner recently and he is a kind man too . Their mutton and vegetable samosas are always a hit for us. Rotis are worth the size and price. We recently purchased big order of samosas for work and for a bake sale and everyone loved it.

Good place for a South Asian meal. Very friendly staff. The smaller items you order through the phone tend to get longer to make. Vegetarian options: You may not get complete vegetarian options. But still you can get a good variety. Parking: Plenty of parking.

Good place for south asian food. The best place for srilankan rotti.Indian paratha. One paratha would be filling your stomach. The place is very famous for paratha. I would say have it hot and beateen i would make it fresh over the counter.

You are indeed a queen of all restaurants. Only a few days back I had the pleasure of tasting the chefs own authentic infusion of Sri-Lankan style vadai (Masala/Keerai/Spinach Vadai) with a most delicious coconut chutney, which was not only treat to my taste buds but also brought nostalgic memories. According to the chef he has combined his culinary skills with what he had learnt from his mother. The outcome is the tastiest Jaffna style coconut chutney. Superb food, their devilled prawns are to die for. They had a variety of selections and the food tastes so devine at Queens. Found about this only recently. Excellent customer care too!

Chilli Chicken kothu is really yum !

Ive been a regular at Queens Take Out, mostly every day, and I must say their food is genuinely nice and incredibly pocket-friendly. As an international student, finding affordable yet tasty food can be a challenge, but Queens has always been my go-to spot. Their variety, especially the biryanis, was always a delight. However, Ive noticed a recent change; they have unfortunately reduced the quantities, particularly with the biryanis. While the flavour remains great, this change in quantity is a bit disappointing for a long-time customer like me.

As far as sri lankan foods go, this is really good! We got a poutine. My fiancè basically created a new menu item on the spot, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating and made it for us. We ordered a poutine with goat curry and curry gravy and cheese curds with onions and chili. It was delicious. And their chicken broyani slaps The food only came up to around $20 for that, plus murukku. Friendly staff, cheap, good food Definitely coming back

WOW WOW AND WOW!!!! The owner and staff treated myself and my baby boy like family!! We came from ajax for samosas and were recommended to try here. Little did I know I was in heaven!!! OMG everything they have is worth trying and made fresh. They have a restaurant to called fusion6ix double check with the owner. I will be bringing my family there for sure. And this is coming from a West Indian try it.

I have tasted mutton kottu, seafood meals , chicken biriyani and chicken noodles so far and I should say it is delicious food with good quality and quantity. Had 3lb chicken wings. Honestly, they were pretty horrible. I am not sure how this place has so many 5 star reviews but I would recommend avoiding chicken wings for sure as they dont know how to do it. Burnt and overcooked, almost no sauce, just dry meat hard to even chew.

An amazing place. Came in to buy 2 chicken roti, the owner asked me to try the Chilli chicken roti. Tried one of both, both were really tasteful and the right amount of spiciness. First time coming here and the experience was very good. Will continously come and try more of their menu. Highly recommend the place.

Decently fast compared to how many people are there (pretty sure there is like 5 at maximum). The food is also really good and it doesnt seem to have a crowd.

We ordered vegetarian food for 65 people from Queens and found the food to be over and beyond our expectations, in terms of both taste and quantity. The Okra salad was a unique item, not served elsewhere. It was clear that Ray and teams top priority was satisfying their customers. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

The BEST veggie rolls I ever had, and its not even close! I tried veggie rolls from every Sri Lankan restaurant and Queens is #1. Very warm, super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with right amount of spices. The owner took my order and hes sooo sweet and extremely kind. I highly recommend this fairly new place to everyone!

Veggie banana leaf food was the best I ve had.

Their food is not good whatsoever. To make things worse, they serve most of the food ice cold. 3 stars for the friendly staffs. Update: went back after a long time and decided to try the mutton and the chicken kothu. The presentation of the kothu was good and that was just about it. It was wet and squishy, and all the rotis were clumped together and it felt like I was eating pukkai. The flavor of authentic kothu isnt present either, so Im updating my 3 stars to 1. They seem to not have improved whatsoever even after 6 months. I would go as far as to say that this is one of the worst Sri Lankan/Indian restaurant I have ever tried.

I ordered online chicken biryani after reading reviews n ratings. I think those are fake reviews. It doesnt even look like biryani, all veggies were half cooked and so was the chicken. Turmeric was not cooked, you could raste the turmeric. Worst food. ZERO Ratings.

Been shopping here over a the past six months and have rarely felt disappointed about the food. I love spicy food and they dont really well! The service is also good and getting better, however you have to be patient, the food is worth the wait! Myfavorite thing is the Chicken Jaffna fries (I think thats what is called ). I usually go here to get some kothuthu roti and they make the best kothuthu roti in Toronto in my opinion! I usually get the veggie one with extra spicy and it tastes like the one I would back home! I could literally hear them make the kothuthu sounds in the back!! Makes the late night trip all the worth!! The staff are so nice and helpful! Other items they have are also reasonably priced. Ordered their seafood lamprais which should have shrimp and squid in it according to their menu online but on my lamprais there wasn t any shrimp at all and maybe a teaspoon amount of squid. Very disappointed.

I found this on Instagram, I was excited but the pictures and the taste were so off. The price affordable but the taste was not there. I had the Chicken Biryani and it was not that good the rice didnt cook well, there were no chicken I got two little pieces and the egg even tasted stale. I ordered few other thing and to be honest I wont go back here.

By far, this has to be one of the worst establishments to buy tamil food. I gave this place a couple of chances and each time it was horrible. It is a rip off. The first time I ordered Chilli chicken kothu and it was terrible. It was sweet, there was more bell peppers than actual roti and the chicken was old. Today I went and ordered lamp rice, and I called them 4 times to ask them if it was lamp rice or banana leaf rice. They assured me 4 times that It was lamp rice yet when I got the receipt it said banana rice. I called again on the way back home and was told it was lamp rice. Maybe the chef or the owner should google what constitutes lamp rice, because they clearly dont know. I opened the rice and there is barely any curry there, plain rice. Barely any veggies and on top of all of this they are overpriced. They charged $20 for this, you can get a larger portion that taste better for a cheaper price. These owners do not know what customer service means because each time I go to the store, theres an angry customer shouting at them. Do better! I will not be going to this store again and I dont think others should either. Horrible!

Don t waste your time and money going there. I ordered chilli chicken kothu, honey garlic wings and mango lassi. The mango lasi was not sweet and it was watered down. The kothu roti had multiple hair in it and the wings were rough and still frozen and was pink on the inside. Had no flavour tasted bland.

Whenever I m in a rush and I want something delicious and affordable, I come here. Highly recommend their Dosas! Their curries are all very delicious as well.

I got mutton Kothu in the past and it wasn t as well as I would have liked. I gave this place another try since I lived in walking distance of the restaurant and many of my friends were telling me that the Mutton Kothu was like a homemade curry. When I tried the Kothu out again, I LOVED IT. The restaurant has made some incredible changes since they opened and the mutton kothu is the best in town.

Big spacious plaza - plenty of parking spots available. I ordered liver curry, mutton kothu roti and fish curry. They were delicious! The young lady (staff) was very friendly and fulfilled my order impeccably. Great place if youre craving South Indian food - would definitely visit again!

Usually get food from here since we was introduced to it! First time food was on the spot...second time I thought maybe someone was having a bad day, so ran it by the third time. And bad idea. Look at this! Soft fries(but we dont mind soft fries) next to no topping or dressing. Terrible especially when you know what you are suppose to get!

Ordered Chiken Biryani and I tell you that 1 order is good for 2 people. The portion is big. The side that it came with taste good as well, it complements the dish. Their chicken biryani is different from the other Indian restaurants maybe Sri lankan and Indian chicken biryani are 2 different kinds. Dish looks good and tasty. Their vegetable samosa did not disappoint too. I recommend this to everyone! Parking: Lots of space
