Dear customers, Please update ours phone number 416-321-8381 We open from 11am till 9pm We serve all day vegetarian dim sum and Cantonese style dishes!
Follow @bredgyeats for more food photos! From dim sum to main dishes, this place assures me that I can live being vegetarian for a bit. When you're coming here, ensure you get the taro fish, which is battered and fried for a light crisp texture on the outside, with a fragrant bite of creamy taro inside. It's served with a tangy sweet and sour sauce that cuts through the heaviness as well. The stir-fried egg whites were unbelievably smooth, and had an addicting savoury taste that was complimented by the crispy puffed rice, the saltiness of the kani and the contrast of textures from the crisp, yet tender florets of broccoli.
Chinese vegetarian restaurant with plenty of a la carte options & set menus. They have all your standard staple soy dishes, and excellent customer service. All the staff are attentive quick, and friendly. All our dishes were well made - flavourful, but not overdone, and portions are reasonable. No complaints!
Dim sum was so bad. A good vegetarian restaurant makes you forget about meat and makes vegan dishes that are flavourful and satisfying-this isn't it. Food was super bland, not much flavour. For context, even the person in my family that likes their food less salty and always complains about food being too salty, complained it was bland. Poor meat texture immitation in Siu Mai. Har Gow shrimp dumpling, had thick rice wrap, little filling, the shrimp had like a rubbery texture, like cheap processed vegan thing at grocery store. It was expensive, for the same price I could get pretty good quality dim sum elsewhere. Stir fry beef rice noodles was $20.
I’ve been here twice for both lunch and dinner. Lunch dim sum was so good!! Me and my friends (3pple) ordered 12 dishes coz we wanted to try out all their food on the menu. Everything was delicious!! We especially like the Crispy Soya Roll (#16), and it was so good that they have mini size of Taro Fish (#33) in dim sum section!! We also like the Pan Fried Soya Skin Stuffed Roll (#28). Other than the dim sum, we also tried a few dishes in the A La Cart menu. We like the Fried Rice in Cream & Tomato Sauce ($26.99) that the cream part is very tasty and creamy, and the Deep Fried Wonton w/ Sweet & Sour Sauce ($16.99) where they do cook the sauce as the original non-veggie style. I’m glad that I came to try and now found another new place for my veggie day
great service. server was very helpful and courteous. spoke perfect English. (and Cantonese) they serve a light Jasmine tea pot to start difficult to order without photos but server was so helpful pan fried soya skin layer was everything we wanted so we ordered another order stir fried snow pea leaves with light ginger sauce was soft and sauce was very flavourful both dishes were absolutely delicious. they have restrooms in the restaurant
This is my favourite Chinese vegetarian restaurant in the GTA. I've been eating here for the past ~20 years (since at their old Market Village location). The food is always delicious and the staff are friendly. As a former meat eater, my favourite dishes are the fried rice noodles with mock beef, which doesn't make me miss meat at all, and the lemon chicken. The wonton soup and hot and sour soup are excellent too. It can get a bit loud when it is busy on weekend evenings so I try to go there a bit earlier to dine in.
The best mock Chinese-style fried chicken dishes I've ever had. You could not tell it was not chicken. The black pepper beef was also exquisite. I have tried a lot of vegan food, and this was one of the best experiences I've had at a vegetarian restaurant - the two gentlemen servers went above and beyond to ensure we understood what we could order (there are some dishes that contain egg), and generally had such a welcoming and generous attitude. We will be back for the food, and for the amazing friendly service!
Stepping into Graceful Vegetarian feels like entering a peaceful oasis of culinary delights. From the moment I walked in, the friendly staff greeted me with genuine smiles, eager to guide me through a menu brimming with delightful vegetarian options. The tempura pumpkin came highly recommended, and it didn't disappoint – a crispy yet tender treat that danced on my taste buds! Be aware that not all of their options are vegan, a quick chat with the ever-attentive servers will ease any concerns. Whether you're a devoted herbivore or just dipping a toe into the world of meatless cuisine, Graceful Vegetarian serves a dining experience that's as warm and inviting as it is delicious.
Best Chinese Vegetarian Restaurant in town
I live this place. Food is reasonably priced, dining is very elegant and comfortable, and the servers are extremely attentive and polite. The food is also very tasty, no msg! Server recommended a ton of items, and we have dined there several times already. Thank you!
This is the second time Ive been here and somehow I loved it even more! A friend and I went last week and Im still thinking about how great it was. The food was affordable and the portions were generous! If you like to explore new types of food, this is the place for you - my friend and I tried close to 20 different things and loved every one! Also, the waiter was so gentle and attentive. I highly recommend this place and I will be going back soon!
Good restaurant with quality food
Providing very traditional Hong Kong style veggie food. So, processed soya products are basically used for the dishes. service was fair and adequate, staff is available when help is needed. No complaints.
The food is amazing. Arguably the best Chinese vegetarian and vegan dishes I ve ever had. This is my second time visiting the restaurant. The first was for take out during the pandemic. Both times the service was very friendly and efficient. They were readily willing to make dishes vegan upon request. Everything was made fresh to order. We got a lot of the dishes recommended in the reviews; fried pumpkins, jumbo mock shrimp; stir-fried snow pea shoots (they subbed in for broccoli because they ran out of snow pea shoots); fried banana with homemade ice cream; hot and sour soup and vegetarian shark fin soup. It is a little more expensive than other Chinese vegetarian restaurants in the area but I think it is worth the price. Our bill for a party of 4 came up to a little under $200 with gratuity (included in the bill). Would definitely recommend this place for vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Vegetarian options: Everything on the menu complies with an ovo-lacto-vegetarian diet but can easily request dishes be made vegan or lacto-vegetarian when asked. Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian with some gluten-free options as well. Parking: Shares parking lot with the mall.
The food was ok we order a noodle and a dish of rice and soup plus small dish of tofu and it cost us around 100.. they charge 20% tips force in bill for 4 ppl if you are going .. keep that in mind
Absolutely wonderful food!!!! A vegetarians paradise!! Service is impeccable. Food is consistently delicious. Vegetarian options: Every dish is vegetarian. Every dish we get is delicious, and exactly how we ordered it. Soups arrive hot, as do our mains. We have soups, appetizers and mains there because its sooooo good. Portions are generous. Parking: Huge free lot out front.
This place serves up classic Chinese dishes done vegetarian. My favourite is the enoki mushrooms on tofu. Staff there are very nice and attentive. I will be coming back in the future.
Cant believe I forgot to write a review on Fahai because this is genuinely my familys favorite Chinese Vegetarian restaurant, their veg dimsums and casserole chicken wonton soup are our all timers! Hope that their family business gets to be booming for years!
Portion sizes for the prices they charge are ridiculously small, they also have a mandatory 20% tipping policy. You will get a non-itemized hand written bill with taxes and 20% tip included at the end. I do not recommend this place as the food is also pretty bland and totally not worth it. Also, they use lots of MSG and ketchup, be ready for allergic reactions and msg attacks.
Always very delicious! Even the non-vegans enjoy it!
Great food in a cozy place, recommended for vegetarians.
The food is amazing and the man that runs this store is so sweet and nice and friendly too. I have never once been treated poorly and the food is soooo good.
I requested for 3 Olive paste jars as take-out , instead i was served a bowl of rice. He barely gave me audienc again when 5 new customers walked into the reastaurant. I rate his English 2/10 Server also had attention deficit
Disappointed with the food quality. We came as a gang of 10, and had a variety of their dim sum, noodle and vegetable dishes. The dish portions were sizable snd their service was great. But their dim sum didn t taste as great as before. And soon after lunch we had the msg attack Vegetarian options: Serves Chinese vegetarian dim sum and dishes. Suitable for vegan. Beware they use msg here if you are not comfortable with it.
Vegetarian options: Very nice veggie dimsum Food
As a born vegan for 33 years Really good s&s mock chicken balls Other than Zens Garden in the west This is the goto in the East Food : 5/5 |
Great food with equally great service.
Wonderful dining experience!! The server was the most delightful and helpful Ive ever had! Food was also very delicious and we will definitely be back in the future :)
one unique vegan place.. great food choices for vegetarians and vegans.
Very small portion. we (8 persons) ordered 8 dishes but all were still hungry
Some of the best vegan food in Markham.
Great vegetarian dim sum! The service was attentive, and the food came out quickly and hot
Their sweet and sour pork is really to my taste! Not greasy!
Fantastic vegan Chinese options. Really nice atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Felt very welcomed and they took the time to explain the menu to us. Looking forward to coming back and trying the dim sum! Great value and highly recommend.
This is probably the best restaurant my family has ever been to! We ordered the snow pea leaves with light ginger sauce, sweet and sour mock chicken, black bean mock chicken, black pepper mock steak, szechuan tofu and a side of rice. The food was so good we forgot to take pictures! And our waitress was so sweet! You can tell they love kids, and are very hardworking! The staff and waitresses deserve big recognition! HIGHLY recommend!!! Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian Kid-friendliness: The staff are so sweet to kids!
Best vegetarian food in GTA. Its a small restaurant. Whenever its get busy and service will be sacrificed. Decor is good
Really liked their chow mein noodles. Thin and crispy. Had it with bitter melon, cabbage and sliced mock meat. Would definitely want to go back to try their other dishes.
My familys favorite vegetarian restaurant in town! I love the food there (so many choices and they are all so yummy)! The service is always warm and wonderful. A real pleasure (great treat) to dine there!
Swamy Saranam I m doing the Ayyappan Maalai Fast which requires devotees to eat from only pure vegetarian restaurants. I am battling a nasty cold and all I could think of was Hot & Sour Soup . I saw that they had it on their menu and called to confirm no animal by-products was used for their food. The attendant on the phone confirmed this and so I ordered it. This is one of the best vegetarian hot and sour soups that I ve had. Bravo to your restaurant
My family has been coming here for over 20 years. I recently introduced my wife to the restaurant and she loves it too. Delicious and creative food, especially their vegetarian dim sum which is hard to find. It s a family business and the owners and staff are kind and hard working.
I m not vegan, but my partner is. I grew up with the best dim sum in NYC and I really wanted to share it with my partner. We never thought dim sum could be veganized we were so wrong. When we entered, we were immediately greeted by a super friendly host who asked us if we ever ate there before. He then explained that everything is vegetarian, but could also be made vegan by taking out egg or dairy from the dishes. We ordered a bunch of stuff (bbq eel, shiu mai, steamed rice noodle rolls, shrimp and pork fried rice, steamed bbq pork buns, steamed shrimp dumplings, sticky rice in lotus leaves, and crispy sesame balls). Keep in mind that the meats mentioned above are all mock meats. They were incredibly delicious and tasted like authentic meat-based dim sum. The flavours and textures were all perfect! Highly recommend this place to both non-vegan and vegan dim-sum lovers! Vegetarian options: Both vegan and vegetarian options (no meat on menu) Parking: Big mall parking lot
Went today for the first time and had a really pleasant experience. Good service, ambiance, vibes and most importantly: YUMMY Even if you re not a vegetarian (I m not) I recommend! Note: the deep fried Chinese bun was a bit too heavy after all the food we ate so definitely not necessary to have a good meal and all of that was $33 for Toronto that s good!!! + Jasmine tea for 2
Great food, excellent customer service. Highly recommend! Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan options, some items have egg in them but there s great options for everyone who is not a meat eater Parking: Lots of parking available
Been coming here for years and it has always been a fantastic experience. Highly recommended.
Great place for vegetarian yum cha / dimsum. Really delicious and authentic food, all plant based! They should open up a downtown location.
Good
Vegetarian options: All dishes are vegetarian Food
The dishes here are delicious.
Good veggie food
I enjoyed the spacious environment, the choice of dishes are both a lot and new to me. Dishes not only look good but also taste good. Be prepare to pay more as vegetarian dishes are pricier than meat dishes.
Super friendly owner and great vegan friendly food! We got the 4 person combo and had it adjusted to accommodate 5. A little on the pricier end but would definitely come again!
My 1st experience here was awesome. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very professional service by the waiter. It was pricey but because the food and service was so good it did not matter. I will be going back again.
Food was amazing and service was even better. We got the crispy noodles with vegetables, and 3 types of dumplings. The mock meat dumplings were my favourite, they were the best mock meat dumplings I ve had ! Also great value - 3 people ended up being 55$ and we were full :)
Located in splendid China plaza. Not a busy place on weekend s night. Price is higher than ALL other vegetarian restaurants (including fusion veggie ones) and it s not fancy at all. For a regular dish is around $20 and portion is by average. Service is ok. Will not recommend this.
It s healthy and unique vegetarian restaurant, dim sum paired with oolong tea is quiet pleasant
Hard to find good vegan restaurants in markham and scarborough, more then happy to have tried out graceful! Theyre server was more then helpful, and got all our food quickly, and piping hot! Me and the family had a great time, will for sure be returning!
Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Our waiter was lovely and very helpful, we unfortunately did not catch his name. The bao bun app and sweet and sour mock chicken were outstanding. Note that they only accept cash or debit.
Great place, great food. Dining room is a bit small.
Vegan Dim Sum is great here. Used to go to Graceful Vegetarian years ago before they moved to Splendid China Mall across the road from where they used to be (beside Pacific Mall). This new place is brighter, cleaner and the staff here are more welcoming. On the menu, most of the Vegetarian items are placed at the end (youll see the egg and honey items clearly) so avoiding them is helpful but our maître d was wonderful in offering to inform our table which items were in fact Vegan. VERY helpful. Come here and enjoy.
THE BEST VEGETARIAN PLACE EVER!!!!!! We have been customers for 5 years at least! (Including my daughter since 2 years old) Honestly, as a vegetarian, I dont know what I can eat if Fa Hoi Uncle retires LOLLLL
Four of us were there for the first time. Set meal portion was not enough and its quality was very ordinary. Had to order additional fried noodle dish at the end. Overall, not happy with the portion and the quality of the food that was really expensive as compared with similar restaurants.
Nice and cozy vegan restaurant.. They have one of the best steam buns I have tasted. Their walnut sweet buns were apparently Bussin per my 11year old. We enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. The service was quick and the host was friendly. Vegetarian options: Its a vegan restaurant.. Everything is vegetarian friendly.
Delicious vegetarian/vegan Asian cuisine! Im a regular meat-eater, and I dont miss it a bit when I dine here. The dim sum is fabulous, and the service is warm and personable!
Dim sum is very bland tasting except for a few items which is too salty in comparison. Small portion and high price. Was told by guy Manager at the end that is what the restaurant aims for - healthy to the point of forgetting salt and pepper in some dish. The English description in the dim sum menu is better at describing the dishes, the Chinese description include ingredient that are missing. Atmosphere is cozy and spacious but AC lack circulation so felt hot and can smell everyone elses food. The waitress is very good with table service and she made our meal much better otherwise we would have left early. If you come here for table service and more personal space it is great otherwise I would recommend the other two Chinese vegetarian food place to the south or to the north for food quality and price. Great if you value personal space and pay lots for it since food is mediocre and no improvement since the old location. Also beware that they include tips onto the final bill. They also never show the full calculation so I have to add up the dishes myself to verify amount. There was little customer so I paid the full 15% because I appreciated the waitress service. The male manager was rude and care less about everything. Even if the restaurant have great dishes, he never made any attempt to recommend them. I will definitely turn around and leave if I see him again managing tables. Parking: Lots of parking, mall never busy.
Bland, stale food, expensive, bad quality, small portion, mandatory tip we were not informed of until the bill came. Atmosphere and food are the same, old fashioned. Puts a bad name on vegan/vegetarian food.
Stale, bland, completely flavourless food. For 3 people, we paid over 80$, including a mandatory tip that is not indicated anywhere. The restaurant ambiance was sterile and unfriendly. The dim sum was not even a little tasty- just steamed spinach inside a dumpling wrapper. Ingredients tasted old like stale oil.
Food was awful and tasteless. We had a few dishes and we were disappointed with all. Also, the tip (12%) was already included in the bill. This was never told to us when we ordered our food. I didnt think anyone should tell me how much tip I should leave especially after we were disappointed with the food. However, the waiter didnt care. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Graceful is an incredible restaurant that not only offers amazing, delicious and healthy food, but also wonderful customer service and care. Nothing compares to Graceful, its been my favorite restaurant since I first ate here in 2016.
This was my first time visiting and the experience was amazing! I am fully plant based, not vegetarian so they made sure everything was vegan for me. The waiter who served me was absolutely phenomenal, so polite, informative, gave me suggestions and answered all my questions. The service was extremely well paced and food did come out too fast nor too slow. Lastly, each dish I had tasted amazing! I had the sweet and sour imitation pork, steamed vegetable buns and the red pan cake! 10/10 would recommend and Ill definitely be back myself to further indulge with friends and family Vegetarian options: Fully veggie restaurant Dietary restrictions: Great if you veggie or vegan or plant based ect.
Whether itd be dining in or getting take-out from this place, Ive been a longtime customer with my parents for this restaurant and I felt upset when they moved locations because the old location had to be taken down, but Im happy I found them again and that they didnt move too far from where I lived! Although the brothers didnt recognize us, its okay! I loved that they still kept up the great hospitality and customer service even 20+ years later! They truly work remarkably well together as a team and keep customers satisfied with everything! They still had some of my classic favourites such as the deep fried wonton crisps and taro fish! Some of them are no longer served as they changed the menu, but thats okay! The fact that this family-owned business can be maintained for this long just proves how successful they are! The only thing I disliked was the atmosphere I was in. The environment was a bit too loud to my liking, but thats only because I went during dinner time, so its to be expected. If I went during lunch time or earlier in the morning, it might have not been so overwhelming in noise. Otherwise, exceptional customer service, super attentive and observant, consistently refilling teapots and cleaning tables upon immediately leaving and serving food in a timely manner! How can they be so perfect?! Love it! Always a classic choice for vegetarians such as myself!
Ask the writer for recommendations.
They always have and always will be the best. Been going there for 15 years
Generally speaking, the food is very satisfactory. However, it would be better if the siomai were firm and clean, so as not to make it rotten after getting high.
Sorry excuse for vegetarian food needs to do better and lets not talk about the unreasonable prices.
On the expensive side but not a bad place if you crave vegetarian Cantonese cuisine or dim sum. Courteous service but a slight bit slow. They only accept cash or debit. Will visit again.
Love their veggie meatballs. Best Ive ever had. And they know how to cook vegetables. Pea shoots perfectly cooked and not oily. Overall a little on the pricey side, but its quality and well prepared, so worth it for me.
Lovely service, and the Dim Sum was absolutely terrific. It was our first time having vegan dim sum and honestly I really couldn t tell the difference with many of the dishes. My daughter, the vegan, hadn t had Har Gau in over five years, she was literally in tears of happiness.
Unusual vegetarian food, creative and reasonably priced. It turns out that Chef Chef is one of the famous restaurants in Toronto.
Great low key place for vegetarian food. Everything weve ordered from there always tasted fresh and flavourful. Some dishes actually taste better that the meat version sold at other restaurants. As a family owned business, the owners take pride in what they serve and always make you feel appreciated for supporting them. The location is rather hidden so its a bit hard to find. This place is definitely a hidden gem and a perfect meat alternative for vegetarians without sacrificing taste.
obsessed
Amazing food and the owner is super nice! Not everything is vegan, just ask.
Kind of pricey but very high quality. Would definitely recommend
Is this one of the best vegetarian restaurant in the world? Their mock anything seems to be better than the real deal. Mock beef is even better than real beef. Fried mock chicken is better than real chicken at any fast food joints.
Very friendly staff and fast service. The food is very tasty (Im not vegan).
Amazing service. Great food, large variety. Spicky chicken amazing. Each of the mock meats are different and delicious
Service is not the greatest. Be prepare to wait longer than usual. Food is good tho
This restaurant has vegetarian food but its not healthy. Its loaded with oil, MSG, salt, bottled condiments with forever shelf-lives. Everything on the menu is cooked to death with very little nutrients remaining. Theres nothing special here. You might as well go to any Chinese restaurant and order vegetables or as order regular entrees with modification to remove the meat. They are many other restaurants with better service and staff that want to please all their diners.
Nostalgic vegetarian food with pleasant service. Love the food.
Great friendly staff and service. Partitions were set up between tables for social distancing. Food was vegetarian, reasonably good. The Mock Meat in Bird Nest, the sauce was fantastic but the nest was disappointing, compared to the typical Cantonese style of shredded taro, they used a thin sheet of dough, a bit like a taco bowl. The taro in coconut sauce hot pot could have been stewed a bit longer to thicken the sauce and give more flavour to the taro. The pepper & salt egg tofu could use a little bit more pepper. Overall still good and happy experience, but there is room for improvement in some of the dishes.
Very yummy and friendly staff
Absolutely delicious food - Im still craving it 3 days later. Extremely friendly staff and amazing service - Cam did such a great job in helping us choose the best options and making sure that we were really taken care of. Would go back there in a heartbeat. Recommending this place to everyone I know!
Delicious food and good service.
The food is good and the place was not crowded and quiet.
Healthy and delicious....reasonable price...
I have been vegan 5 years ever had Chinese vegan food and I was very happy to discover this place the food is Amazing like you not missing anything, the price was very good we 7 dishes and I tip $20 and pay $116 my husband absolutely love the food and his not even vegan I definitely looking to go back try more of the menu.
One of my favourite veg Chinese spots. The congee and the wonton soup are my favourites. The fried dough ( ) is the freshest and tastiest I have had, even better than those at non veg places I had before I went veg. Staff are always friendly and patient, even at peak times. Even my non-veg partner loves this place. Ask the staff if you are not sure whether an item is vegan or vegetarian.
This is the one from market village it s an all time favourite of my mothers. Definitely recommend for an amazing Chinese vegetarian meal. A++
Friends wanted to go vegetarian for dinner, wth, why not. Restaurant located at a Chinese mall within walking distance from Pacific mall. Take specific mall entrance leading to restaurant Small sparsely decorated clean bright atmosphere. We were one of 4 diners, what a shame as their veg dishes are creative & tasteful, my kudos to their amazing chef. We ordered the mock sharkskin soup, mock beef brisket casserole, assorted mushrooms in snow pea leave & mock taro fish All dishes were beyond my wildest expectations. I couldnt take photos of the dishes as they were quickly served by the service staff. Service staff were attentive and friendly. Constantly checking on us during the course of our dinner, I guess they were bored with only four tables to look after. Complimentary soy curd dessert at end of meal 1 star deducted as dishes were pricey, then again, ost vegetarian dishes Ive encountered are pricey, I guess its not because of the food ingredients cooked but the labor/creativity involved All dishes were exceptional, I needed to go back to sample their other dishes ASAP
Great vegetarian food. Not overly salty or greasy. Recommended.
A big variety of vegetarian dim sums. Very delicious but a bit pricey. Vegetarian options: Got eggs so not vegan
I feel the friendly service, the food is good; the price is not expensive, and the environment is comfortable and clean. Vegetarian options: Food variety needs to be slightly increased. Dietary restrictions: The smoked vegetarian goose tastes good, but the cold skin with a side dish has a lighter taste. Fried carrot cake is also good. Parking: Since the main road improvement project is still in progress, the entrance and exit are relatively confusing and there are insufficient instructions, which affects the convenience of entering the mall. There is not much flow of people; there are sufficient parking spaces. It is hoped that after the completion of the project, there will be improvements, making it easier to access and increase the flow of people. Kid-friendliness: The service is considerate and satisfying.
The appetizer definition of fried wonton and sweet and sour sauce should be some sort of filling in a wonton wrapper that is fried, not just a plate of fried wonton wrappers. Extremely misleading for $14.99.
Amazing food
So happy that I found a great place for vegan dim sum. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. We tried a few types of dumplings; the steamed green bun (vegetable bao); the fried mini taro fish; and stuffed bean curd rolls. I liked how there are many varieties of dumplings, with using different vegetables and fungi for the fillings. I also like how they offer a mix of mock meat dishes and plant-forward dishes Overall, it was a positive experience here. Its called a vegetarian restaurant but most of the options are vegan. Usually the vegetarian options have obvious names, such as egg yolk buns or honey crispy twists, but dont hesitate to ask the staff because they are knowledgeable and friendly. Our server was very helpful and patiently differentiated between the vegan and vegetarian dishes. My only minor complaint is that the prices are a bit higher than traditional dim sum, but in my own experience, many vegan restaurants tend to have higher prices.
Great place for vegetarian dim sum.
We have been coming here for dim sum for many years since the previous location. Every dish we ve tried has been consistently delicious, creative yet humble. The grilled eel is so yummy!! Service is always graceful and polite, very exceptional. Clean, quiet and calm environment.
The most amazing restaurant EVER! When my family and I first became vegan, we got introduced to this place and man, it became the easiest transition ever. Not only do they have delicious traditional Chinese dishes, but their Dim Sum is AMAZING You will not regret visiting them!
Extremely friendly service today. Chow mein was very crispy and veggies were both fresh and al dente. The traditional sticky rice wraps have been one of my favorite dim sum dishes since I was a kid and their veggie version tastes very similar.
I had a very wholesome dim sum with my family here - the food was delicious and made me feel very nostalgic. Im happy I can still have dimsum as someone who doesnt eat meat :) Dishes that stood out were the taro fish, spring rolls, steamed beef in satay sauce, sumai, and sticky rice in lotus leaf
Excellent food. Lots of great vegan options and friendly staff!
This place rules, cant believe they have such easily accessible vegan dimsum, and the plates were amazing. The only regret I have is not being able to order everything off the menu all at once. Amazing service! Extremely attentive and kind. Vegetarian options: Some egg in dishes, but generally vegan selection. Can omit egg on request.
Always consistent and delicious. Weve been going here since they have been at market village. Nothing has changed, well managed and clean restaurant
AMAZING. Very classy and quiet. Very polite staff. Super delicious vegan food. I m so glad they are still here after the pandemic. Please support them and help them last forever.
My wife and I went to this restaurant mainly because of a recommendation from a friend. Although the shopping mall where it is located is relatively deserted, there is an endless stream of customers, which shows how popular it is. This restaurant is small in area, with only about ten tables and can accommodate 30-40 guests, but the place is clean and well-organized. We ordered six dim sum, including bean sprout dumplings, Emei pink fruit, vegetarian platter, vegetarian dumplings, Tingzai beef porridge and smooth walnut buns. Each dim sum is freshly baked. Not only does it look similar to the dim sum in a regular restaurant, the taste is also very similar and delicious. We particularly like the Ting Tsai Cow Song Porridge. In terms of service, it is mainly handled by two people who appear to be in charge. They are very attentive to customers and can easily understand their needs. Although its price is more expensive than ordinary vegetarian restaurants, it is worth it.
I really enjoyed my experience here. Friendly service, lots of vegan options and delicious food. Portions are generous! My favourites were the Japanese fried pumpkin, beef with turnip and steamed seasonal vegetables!
Good food. Interesting to go to a vegetarian dim sum
Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian. If it is on the menu, there is no meat. Food
Feel little bit expensive and food is ok. Vegetarian options: All vegetarian food. Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options
Delicious high quality food in a nice clean well ventilated dining room and great service. Vegetarian options: Faux meat is great.
Delicious, quality food and great service, clean and well ventilated dining room.
Was in the area and came here purely on a whim, not disappointed. It was a fairly small space located near the entrance to the mall, with only a few tables and some ready-to-go items piled near the door. Decor seems typical for a chinese eatery. Vegetarian dim-sum is not common, when we are talking imitation meats which is sort of an ancient Chinese culinary art. We ordered har-gow (shrimp), siu-mai (pork), brisket, roasted eel and foie gras. I would say the texture does not compare exactly to the original meat-based item, however these were delicious and its almost magical how they create a savory taste using non-meat ingredients. Wed go again to try more of their stuff.
One of my favourite vegetarian spots!
Got some takeout from Christmas. It s delicious, but I wasn t able to see the menu and price online, so might as well...
The restaurant suggested items were really good. Give your preference and ask them to suggest.
Excellent food, excellent service!
The food is to die for. Excellent quality of vegetables. Ken and his brother provide the best service. This is the time to show our support and appreciation to them. We have been going to Graceful for years and have been welcomed by the staff and the owners. The quality of food is above par which you cant get anywhere in Greater Toronto. If anyone feels the service was bad, image what these guys are going through to continue to provide us with the best food in these difficult times. I have all the appreciation for Ken, his brother and their parents and the staff who continue to serve us. God bless and we will continue to visit Graceful
It was either bland to the point of having no taste for the fried rice or it was salty to the point where I had to drink many glasses of water for the imitation meat because I think they put too much MSG in the food. First time and last time going there.
Honestly, great vegan chinese food! Bonus for dim sum!
Absolutely spectacular vegan cuisine. The mock meats are uncanny; wed happily take them over the real thing. More traditional vegetable based dishes are also available, and will not disappoint. Dim sum style dishes are uniformly excellent as well. Wonderful service from friendly proprietors. With best wishes from C, K, and N.
Great place
Amazing value and delicious food, all vegan. One of my favourites.
A perfect vegetarian/vegan spot! I went for dim sum and it was perfect. Friendly service, lovely clean restaurant, and of course the most delicious food! Even the lemon ginger tea was the best I ve had. Meat eaters won t notice the difference ;)
Unbelievably tasty food and great service. My new favourite restaurant in Toronto. So glad to have learned about it!
So glad to have a traditional Chinese (veg) restaurant that hasnt closed down. Fyi Im not vegetarian and still love this place.
excellent services and really yummy mocks meat. I love it! I will def come back for more! Very light on the oil, not as heavy. Try the sweet and sour mock pork out if you re here. They dont use pineapple but some kind of fruits that taste so deliciousz
Great discovery. Asian vegetarian restaurant to discover in Scarborough.
stopped by recently only to come in for the dimsum but also decided to pick up a few other dishes, the mock steak and Cantonese egg noodles. I was super excited, I came from out of town (it was over a 35 min drive). - dishes are creative - food is very expensive - all the food was vegetarian but the mock meat was terrible and chewy and had a weird smell to it - I ordered a few different types of dimsum and they all tasted the same, and for the price tag I expected MUCH BETTER. the hot sauce tasted like tabasco. - although the customer service was great I would not come back - I m not one to trash small businesses during this time but truly I was disappointed in the food. I brought it home it was still warm. while I was taking the boxes out of the bag there was a short hair on the styrofoam box. just the smell of the food had me feeling a little weird. I made myself a plate and I couldn t even get a quarter through to it. seriously people don t waste your money, don t come here.
Great for a big group at vegan dim sum. Really delicious dumplings. I loved all their meat and seafood imitations. Perfect for any vegetarians craving a BBQ pork buns. We ordered a ton of different kinds of dumplings and all were delicious. The sticky rice in particular blew my mind. Definitely make sure everyone gets to have their own sticky rice. Would go back in an instant if it were a bit closer.
Graceful vegetarian is one of the best vegan or vegetarian places I have been too. The cooking is great, there are a lot of options, you can have either a healthy or unhealthy meal here. The waitstaff are very nice and attentive. They follow COVID-19 safety protocols. There are partitions between tables, single person washrooms, hand sanitizer, and making.
Delicious vegetarian asian dishes with excellent customer service The sweet tofu (dessert) was really good!
This place is 10x better than Beyond Meat.
Food is good. Service not really friendly
When servers at a restaurant really care, it shows. That s what we said to each other after we were seated and greeted by the gentleman at this restaurant. I don t know if he has ownership of the restaurant, but he certainly treats his customers with the care and attention that an owner would. Service aside, the dishes were all very good. I am not strictly vegan myself, and I enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered. Some of them were really on point, and could stand up to the meat/seafood versions.
Lots of vegan options and lovely service.
Not being vegetarian, I always have a sense of apprehension when it comes to anything calling itself vegetarian. With this restaurant, I am glad that I ignored my reservations and gave this place a chance. The food was so good. There are dozens of options. I chose the Mock Steak with Chinese-Style Sweet Sauce. Absolutely fantastic. The service was excellent as well. Our waiter was highly attentive and very courteous. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Id love to eat there again.
Amazing vegetarian food. You would not believe that you are not eating meat. The staff is wonderful and courteous. The food is irresistible.
Food was very tasty and waiter was extremely nice. Even my husband who usually is very reserved towards meat imitation enjoyed his meal and wants to eat there again. Great restaurant
Tasty food and great service
Worst price, food quality and service. The staffs are racist. They asked us to pay before we have our meals their. They refused to give us an invoice and charged a 10% service charge without notifying us in advance. The quality of food is extremely poor if you consider the price. Stay away from this place.
Friendly service, great menu choices and tasty dishes. Always looking forward having dimsum or dinner here!
Geat food. Greetings service
Best mock meat place in the gta!
Amazing food. Even better service. We always get the mock steak in honey pepper sauce and it is phenomenal!! Must try for vegetarian food.
Excellent
Food and service is excellent. And they take debit.
I love the interior, the peaceful music, the furniture, the lighting, and the food. Everything about this restaurant reminds me of what I want my future home to look like. If youre looking for a place to wind down and get away from the busy world, this is the place to go. Ill definitely come back!
I always make sure to eat here when Im in the area. Food is always delicious, and never disappoints. The dim sum menu is extensive and tasty! A must for vegetarians, vegans, and even omnivores.
Great food. Wonderful selection on veg dim sum for us vegetarians.
Their general Tao chickn was incredible. Best I ve ever had. Order with some steamed soy pork buns. Heaven. I will be back.
What do you do when you are missing dim sum? Uber Eats to the rescue! I placed an order for bamboo sticky rice bean wrap and for soy sheet wrapped with mixed vegetables. They were delicious. Although it was completely different than what I was expecting as I am use to ordering the items in Chinese, they were still delicious none the less. Both items were still warm upon arrival. The soy wrap was juicy and scrumptious. The bamboo wrap is warm with a slight chew complimented with savoury beans. I am so grateful for Uber Eats and the hardworking team at Graceful during this pandemic for this bundle of dim sum joy!
The food at Graceful is delicious as usual. So many favourite dishes and the dim sum menu is great. They are ready to take your orders during Covid lockdown and manages the takeout process very professionally.
Great food, great service. Good to visit even now, when only patio eating is open (which may change in a few days)
Wonderful service, food is so good! This is a regular place for my family. The staff are great and also very accomodating if you have allergies (I have peanut/nut/sesame allergies)
Amazing place for vegans. Service is friendly and quick. The food is so good. Wide range of dimsum items and a la carte dishes. Dishes that are part of my regular order are taro duck, chicken satay, rice in lotus leaf, and butterfly mock steak. Ask the staff for recommendations!
Good food
Very good, nice dim sum selection to try out more food without the extra volume.
Very tasty!
Great food and service! Perfect place for some amazing and authentic Chinese vegetarian food. Definitely will come back again.
Went here and the service was terrible. Server was not respectful at all and didnt pay any mind to our requests. Will not dine in here again. Too bad as the reviews looked good must have been an off day hopefully.
The service here is absolutely atrocious. The staff have friends visit them in the restaurant. They seat them on one end of the restaurant, while the staff sit on the opposite end on their down time (while the patrons are eating). They then shout at each other making conversation. Our server ignored us for the majority of our visit, and when he did interact with us, he was incredibly rude. I never give bad reviews online, but I will never return to this restaurant ever again. I rather starve.
Love this spot. Amazing service and food
Everything is complete and the price is moderate.
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto! The food is all so so good, and the service is always great. Ive had a couple of birthdays here and I cant wait for the next!
Great food and very clean dinning room
The food is absolutely amazing. Fresh, good quality, authentic and literally the best tasting ever. We inhaled our food and couldnt stop raving about it. The service was very pleasant as well, so friendly! Definitely supporting again and would recommend to everyone veggie or not. 10/10
Anyone notice the coincidence of those giving one-star reviews? They all have accounts that have given less than five reviews total. In other words FAKE REVIEWS!!! This restaurant is simply the BEST FOOD in town and the best service as well. I ve lived in Markham for 12 years and eat here often. Never once a bad experience. Perfect in every way.
Some of the best customer service experience ever. The food is great too. Might spend a little more here than other places but its totally worth it. Especially with the customer service.
My friends held a special birthday celebration here for me this year. It s a very impressive place that would appeal to both vegetarians and meat lovers! The menu is creative and delicious. The staff were very attentive and explained the dishes in great details. Many of the mock meat items actually taste like the real stuff it s crazy!
