Excellent Pho. I had grilled chicken in chicken broth. I also had vegetarian spring rolls and they were very good and different from any other spring roll I’ve had. This place is no frills and unassuming. Very fast service and food arrival.
I would like to share the worst experience we had to this restaurant, about the server, it was a lady with light brown hair, she was the rudest, server i ever meet , we came in and one server came we ask for a table we explained if we could join the other table together as our daughter is sick and we have a small kid too, just to have a bit distance, then the lady with light brown hair came to us saying that one is enough for us, and we been trying to explain the situation but this lady is so rude and start making arguments with us, so another young girl came , she was nice to us, so we did order our meal, everything was going smooth, but this lady with light brown hair every time she pass to our table, she is giving us sharp look, making angry face and looking at us, to our table, specially me as Im the one facing the front side, we paid our bill on the way out this lady came again , and really wants some fights, she is clearly have a bad attitude, she rude, mean , she is the rudest person i ever meet in a restaurant, i really hope that the owner will talk to her, thank you so much, the food was good, except to that lady with light brown hair.
This place used to be super busy on weekends you couldn't even find parking spot. Now it is just a shell of its own past glory. This place is mostly empty all the time. Owner/manager always look upset and food is getting worse every visit. They also automatically charge 10% tip on your bill. I used to come regularly but I think this will be my last visit.
We arrived at the restaurant at 8:15 PM. The hours stated that the restaurant would close at 9 PM. We walked in the lady, came running to the front and told us that the restaurant was closing down , as we went to the car Another car pulled in she realized That perhaps she was losing a few customers and decided to call us back to bring us in clearly she was in a rush to go home. The food in general is good. The service is there. Nothing really spectacular about it. Also, the one thing that annoyed me was that halfway through the service , she asked us to move to another table because they wanted to close that half of the restaurant so ideally why would she not places on the other side of the restaurant from the beginning? I clearly told her I was not moving since we already had all the food on the table weren’t gonna take too long to eat this is clearly a restaurant who hires teenagers for representation of their restaurant and obviously they’re more worried about going home then making money
We are here hoping that it would be good since it is local. It was okay. The soup was decent, and so were the spring rolls. The deep fried squid was terrible. It tasted like deep fried nothing. They need to work on their taste profile since there are a lot of really good viet restos in the area.
Amazing place, one of the best Pho soup you can get, in multiple different shades of beef, veal, pork, shrimp, so on and so forth. Menu could be done better, service is impeccable and extremely quick, kind and gentle personnel. A must go, or just get a soup and take it home!
Honestly I don’t know how how this place has this rating. The service is really bad. I ordered what I wanted they said they can make it. Then they came back and said they don’t do that since Covid started. You didn’t know you didn’t make something for over 3 years. The broth was not good. The noddles was not cooked fully. I wish we want somewhere else. There other phos may be good but their Tom yum and their chilli pho are not good.
Best Beef Noodle soup ever 😋 We travel 54 kms from Brampton to this place just for their beef noodle soup. Amazing customer service and mouth watering taste makes this place a nerve miss in Scarborough for noodle soup lovers. During the pandemic when we visited this restaurant, the owner even brought the service to our car. Authentic Vietnamese flavor and food quantity. Price is comparatively fair. Want to try more food/ varieties from here.
The best Pho. Spring rolls were horrible, but I came for the soup. Vegetarian options: They do have Kid-friendliness: I doubt kids would like it here
Beauti-pho
the food has no taste, this place was one of my favorites And the manager has a very bad attitude, I will not return
Pleasant service for a 1st timer Parking: Parking is available in front of the restaurant Limited spaces Food : 5/5 | Service
Pretty standard no frills Pho place. Flavour is great and prices are under $15!
Good is delicious and reasonably priced. However for some reason it wasn t served as hot as we re used to. Service for this particular visit was a little sloppy but acceptable. They re not very attentive. It s a very basic ambiance nothing notable. Automatic 15% service charge tucked into the bill which honestly they don t fully deserve.
Been coming here since I was younger, and I always enjoyed the food. Whether it was the pho or the grilled pork chops with rice, it always was good quality for me. Keep in mind, there is a service charge when you get the bill so theres that to be aware of as well.
Expect to pay extra %10 on the top of cost of your order plus tax. They call it service fee !! I dont think I will be back here again. Food
The service staff is so rude, I will never come here again.
Ive been coming here for over 10 years and the food is exceptional. Always fresh. The cold shrimp/pork rolls are not the same anywhere else I crave them constantly!! And they pack up the soup so you can order it on take out!! Absolutely the best hangover cure soup and for when Im not feeling well its my go-too. Hands down youve gotta eat here. Parking: Alot of parking
Food: ordered #9 on menu, PHO with brisket and Tendon. The tendon was tough and chewy and not edible. tons of gristle on the brisket, not edible. soup was ok and the veggies seem fine too. Service: typical Asian service, not memorable. server seemed to be annoyed because we didnt want to sit between 2 loud groups of people when there were open seats everywhere. The food is already expensive but they also added the gratuities on the bill without telling you. Atmosphere: fairly quiet because there were few people there. Wonder why? Summary: Quality of meats in PHO is poor. Nice quiet restaurant. Expensive for what you get. Service is sub-par. Other Suggestion: There is a nice PHO place on Lawrence near Warden that has better service, excellent quality food (no grisly meat!), prices are better and they dont add their own gratuity and you get 10% off for cash. The only bad thing is that they are busy as hell and you may have to wait for a seat but that is because the food is way better. Go for that.
Got my soup within 15 min. Quick service
Great food and service
Noodles that never had to feel heavy or taste greasy after a bowl, that s the Vietnamese kind of fill. And the Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong of this resto is sooooo good yet light but filling. You have a little of everything in a bowl of fresh, crunchy classic Vietnamese noodle salad bowl with spring rolls your choice of protein, pork, beef or chicken. Can t have enough of the dressing that can double as soup base.
Beware they add 15% automatically. I ended up adding an extra 10% tip by mistake because I did not read my bill carefully. Not worth 25% tip for someone to sit a bowl of food on your table. Food is descent but not exceptional Food
We went here for lunch and when we went inside the lady on shift (wearing glasses) was really rude! We asked where can we put the strollers as we have two babies with us but she answered like it was bothersome to have strollers in the store. When we were eating she keeps eyeing our table which was really rude. The food was great except for that cold shrimp roll. We were not supposed to give a tip because of what we ve experienced but we did because it was already on the receipt and mind you we did not even get a thank you when we left. No smile, no warm welcome, and bad service. P.s this is my first time leaving a review on a restaurant!
great pricing, great food, good service. Feb, 2022: nothing has changed, still great food. Staff has changed. The only thing i would worry about is a full restaurant... the pandemic is not over, avoid a full restaurant. Nov 2022: they have removed steamed rice rolls from their menu. Its still in their physical menu but the server will notify you that they are not available at this restaurant. Steamed rice rolls are still available at their other locations though. Apr 2023: steamed rice rolls are back on their menu !!! Mar 2024, please be aware that a 10% service charge is now added to yur bill.
Good food. Clean dining area. Fast service. Not busy when we dine in. Food : 4/5 |
Yummy
The Foods ok I find the P1 is like any other pho place I have been to. Prices are all in the same range as other places. 14 to 17 small to large. As I read through the other reviews I noticed someone mention about the 10% service fee. That explains my bill being 3 dollars more and then I added another 5 dollars service on top of that. I dont mind cause the servers were attentive but the least you could do is let your customers know that theres a service fee included.
A simple viet restaurant. My pho was good however it took quite a long time to come out. The 5 friends I was dining with had basically finished half their meals by the time I received mine, despite others also ordering pho or other noodle soups
Love this spot. Staple for Kennedy rd been here for years Wheelchair accessibility: All 1 level Food : 5/5 |
Update #2: I think weve been coming here since 2007/2008. Long time regulars. Man have they been going down hill. Prices are craaaazy now. We ordered one large order of fried veggie spring (4) rolls, small order of BBQ pork fresh (2) rolls, two pho (one small and one medium) and 1 can of coke. It came to $72! Service 100% needs an overhaul. Update #1: Weve been coming here for 10+ years and the service quality has significantly declined. Theres this one waitress thats very unfriendly... to the point shes so grumpy to be at work. Big turn off especially when this is our go-to Pho restaurant. Original Review years ago: My go-to Pho restaurant. Consistent quality, and the pho brooth is my favorite. A21 All Roll in Summer Rolls are fantastic with the grilled pork. Must try!
Horrible!
came in for a quick bowl of pho but the food quality is below average. Servers werent happy with the boss/manager was yelling at them and being grumpy at everything they do. restaurant has a hostile atmosphere which makes it extremelly difficult to enjoy your food if it is actually served RIGHT. DONT EAT HERE!!!
Great food, good service, at a reasonable price. I love the pork & shrimp vermicelli meal and add a shrimp cold rolls order to go for a snack later. They have incredible peanut sauce and quick service.
Mandatory 15% service fee
The noodle was not good soup was flat. Chicken wings were flavorless with no crisp. Never had crispy chicken wrings that were not crispy!! And they auto charge 15% surcharge without telling you.
Food is good ,but very expensive
Terrible experience! We requested a change of table bc of the air. They make us carry our own cups and teapot. They didnt give us a bill, but wave to us to go up to the counter. Without telling us,. Tips was included in the final bill. Never coming here again! The food was just ok.
This restaurant used to be amazing, especially when it first opened. These days it has gone way downhill. The Pho broth tasted like salted msg water with noodles thrown in . The Bun Bo Hue here was the worst Ive ever had in my life; lacking in flavour, especially lemongrass which is an essential part of the soup not to mention it was way too sweet. The spring rolls were about the best thing of my meal. Price wise, its very expensive for what it is. The restaurant isnt as well kept as it was before, decor is outdated, dusty corners and sticky tables. Service was drop and go, not much interaction and they dont pay much attention to you after you get your food. But hey, at least the spring rolls were decent.
Always a good experience
Myself and 2 others dined here this evening. Although the service was good, the food left a lot to be desired. I had cold spring rolls that had been made quite some time ago as they were tough to eat and my friend had pad thai that was off and she said that it was not fresh. We have been to this place many times but after tonights dinner, I will not go back.
Worst Pho ever, and automatic 15% tip. If the automatic tip isnt disclosed before ordering, it is a ripoff. Food
P22 extra spicy and p13 with satay sauce are absolute favourites and go tos!
I m Viet and this is really good pho. The beef is not fatty and broth is clean and great. Parking: Lots of parking Kid-friendliness: They re always amazing with my son
Hit
I give it a 3 star for the fact that they charge you an automatic 15% if you eat in. That is a joke. Food is great but won t go again.
Worst place to go
Great restaurant. Beef Noodle Phõ P1 was awesome. Tripe here is good quality. Service was nice. Atmosphere is classic Viet style with good lighting. They offer both kinds of Veitnemese style rolls, the cold wrap and the deep fried thats homemade. So good. Almost forgot, the fish sauce that they serve with the deep fried rolls is garnished with fresh garlic and lemon. Never seen that before but I loved it. Kid-friendliness: Brought the baby.
Highly recommended for authentic Vietnamese food.
We had grilled beef and rice and a house special pho bowl
The taste is similar to pho metro but without the long line and it is not far from pho metro
The portions were so small that I wouldn t recommend coming back!
Always great.good service.
A neighbor of mine recommended it to me, I went and since then I fell in love with the Vietnamese cuisine, they have good assortment, good prices and excellent service. Highly recommended.
Great prices great food and service. Loved their curry dishes. Food
Food was okay, management is rude, service is slow. Not too happy they auto charge 15% gratuity/tips for 2 people, regardless if the service was good or not. Lots of parking available (which is the main reason they get 2 stars). Theres PLENTY of other Vietnamese restaurants in the area that I d rather support.
The best chicken noodle soup in Scarborough
Ordered fresh roll with shrimp & pork but came w no pork. Told waitress who then asked did u want the pork? Another lady came by and just said we ll make you a new one Noodle soup, rice, vermicelli were all at best avg flavour/taste, presentation, serving size. For $66 total 4 items including their fixed 15%tip cash/debit only, many more options if u drive north in Agincourt or Markham area. Then one waitress was wearing blue latex gloves guess for Covid reasons, ok. Switched to black gloves to push mop and bucket to the back but I never noticed her changing gloves again before serving other customers, dunno. Lastly did you have to show on your TV the Fear Factor show w ppl eating gross things?
Lol the place smells like someone dumped the entire febreeze canister onto the wall.. mandatory 15% tip is not necessary. Food is bland.. even the pho had a lack of.. aroma. Lime soda was not sweet at all. The Com Tam didn t have a lot of flavour either. Clean washroom.
Not as big portion from other Pho places but it was okay. There is automatic 15% additional charge for dine in. The washroom was clean and the service wasn t too bad.
Worst restaurant ever
poor services
This is my East-end go to Pho restaurant. Been going here for over 5 years and the quality has not changed since the first day. The prices have crept up year over year but understandably since the cost of goods have also gone up. The soup base is delicious so any pho bowl is a good choice. They also have a pretty good variety of veggie dishes for those that want it.
There is a PAGE of vegetarian options! Assorted vegetarian rice noodle was delicious with reasonable price. Good portions (noodle, tofu, mock meat, veggies). I can tell they use veggie broth NOT animal broth. Will drop by here again.
Best pork chop fried egg white rice!
Pho Vietnam = Don t know their worth. They overcharge for mediocre Pho (3-4 dollars more than typical pho store) and the owner doesn t tip their poor employees. They auto-charge a 15% service fee (tip) and the owner keeps it all to herself like some Mr Krabs type. A better pho store I HIGHLY recommend with tastier pho and drinks is PHO NAM DINH down the road on Kennedy and Ellesmere.
Always delicious.
Worst service
As many other customers had said, the service is non-existent. Yet they charged a mandatory 15% service charge, without even mentioning about that!! So beware and double check the credit card machine before you tap!!! Will never go back.
Have one one of the best pho. I would get grilled pork all the time. Flavour town! Also get fresh spring rolls. Yum.
New favorite pho restaurant
The soup was only water Whit veggies the service slow
It was one of our favourite restaurants but not anymore. Everything fell apart, food quality, waiting time, and especially the service. I never tried waiting for almost 35 mins on my seat without any food. When the food finally came, they even didn t say sorry. The lady from kitchen was rude and her English is hard to understand. The food quality is maybe 50% left compared to before. I am not sure the chief is changed or not. Of course, they have 15% mandatory tipping because they know they can t get that amount based on their service. Will never go back.
Bad service. The old lady so rules
The owner lady so rude. And the food so bad. Her service so bad but she still want me give tip for her . I saw her bully to the old man waiter look poor for him. Never come back again.
Great Vietnamese food, fresh and delicious.
Food tastes are good. Fast service. We got our orders fast. Did not wait long. Service charge is included on the receipt. There is no need to give a TIP unless you want to add more. Parking: It depends on the time and day, parking can be an issue.
Food was ok, price is fair, however the service is terrible and funny enough they charge 15% tip without asking the customer, it just shows in the bill and they dont even warn the client about the charge.
Always delish
This is my go to Vietnamese restaurant. It s hard to find a spot that makes a good bun cari ga (vermicelli chicken curry soup), but this place delivers on taste. I suggest asking for fresh cabbage on the side to add into the soup, it s top tier. Not pictured, but I always order, grilled pork with rice & spring rolls. Staff is very kind as well. I waited a short time for my pickup order to be ready & the man at the front desk pulled a chair out for me and offered me to sit. 5 easy stars all around. Don t sleep on this place! 5/5
I would say, still the best place to go for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Food was always fresh. Pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Good for family gatherings.
Got there 30mins before 9pm they didnt let us in telling us they will close soon. How can you turn people around 30mins before closing time.
Love the food here. We always come to this restaurant.
I cant recommend this restaurant as they do not pay their employees their last paycheck. Will provide an update if they ever do.
I always get the grilled beef pho. Its delicious.
The waiter refused to take us at 8:40pm on Saturday unbelievable.
Best location
The place is nice, a quiet atmosphere, the service was good and the food was delicious, my company was the best , recommended place.
Honestly it s not worth the price. I ve had better phô for much less. My wife, myself, and my daughter went for dinner and it was close $100. We used to come here 10 years ago and it was decent, seems like it has gone downhill since then.
Service is so slow. I ordered rare flank pho with my family and my food didn t come out. Other tables after us got their food and I still hadn t eaten. My whole family was Done eating by the time my food came and we had to remind them about my food
Good food
Good food at reasonable prices. I didn t like that they added 10% service for dine in plus an additional 15% gratuity for parties of 5 or more. Unfortunately the beef in rare beef was a bit over cooked but the fresh shrimp cold rolls were great. Food
Seems like they have a pattern of closing before their stated times. Ive been coming here for years but my last few experiences havent been great. Most recently, our server looked miserable, to the degree that it really started impacting our meal. Theyve also implemented auto-gratuity, for both small and larger parties, as a heads-up to anyone coming here. The food here used to be much better than it is, and you can definitely tell they skimp on ingredients despite the higher price tags. Worst of all, we were seated at 8:20pm on a Saturday (they close at 9pm) and the staff started shutting off the lights in an effort to usher us out. It was bizarre.
First and last time today, poor customer service and the food doesn t feel fresh at all
Went here today as soon as they opened at 11am. A lady told us the chef isnt in yet so no one can cook. I asked the lady that we will wait but could we atleast wait inside (-3c) the lady said No! In a very rude and dismissive manner. We went across the street to eat instead. I will never go back to Pho Vietnam again.
This is my last time coming to this place. The lady is so rude when you try to tell her where you want to sit. She tries to force you to sit somewhere else. And their food quality has dropped. Not only that, they charge you extra for service fee
For a loud place this is a good restaurant! Whenever I go to Scarborough Id visit my friends and well usually come here for lunch or dinner! The interior and food is beautiful and my Vietnamese friends love this place so that rubbed off on me probably because this is one of the only good pheugh restaurants in Scarborough!
One of my go to places in Scarborough. Never fail to disappoint. Visited again however the porkchop c1 was not as flavorful as it used to be.. Food : 4/5
Rare beef pho and cold roll veey nice
The food is good. Only issue is the 15% service charge. I am okay with giving 15%, but at least tell me its been added when I pay the bill. It seems like they are expecting you not to pay attention and give an additional 15%.
Food is average and the prices are slightly higher than other vietnamese restaurant to add to that the business forces you into paying a service charge on any order. Im all for tips but dont like being forced into it.
This is the only pho restaurant that give a good amount of food when you order for take out and dinne in
Been going here for years. Even though we no longer live in town, we still go here for our quick Pho fix!
Very clean and laid back restaurant. Friendly staff and food is always good quality. Love their soup broth base.
The first time I went here, I didnt have a vaccination certificate or ID, so I took take out, but the taste was better than I expected. However, a few days ago, I went in and ate in-store, and the meat smelled
Fresh and flavourful food always fresh with fast service
Ive been coming here for years. The food is delicious! My favourite is B11 - salad, bun, grilled pork (or beef or chicken) and a spring roll. Be aware, they have recently put a 10% gratuity on their bill.
I love their food.
BUGS IN MY FOOD, brought in my food then proceeded to get yelled at by the awful manager with the bangs (she said it was my fault) . SO DISRESPECTFUL AND UNPROFESSIONAL AND NASTYYYYY WOULDNT EAT HERE
Staff not friendly when cleaning up, she came the second I finished the last sip of the noodle soup, and after that her eyes were on me like staring at me until I signalled for the bill. She did a vamoose kind of a hand signal pointing to the cash when I asked her what to do if I need to pay using the machine - I was like: Thats kind of rude. They tried to make everyone sitting close together or at the same corner. There is a woman who sat next to me kept talking on the phone spraying her droplets all over, but when another woman came in, who seemed to be a regular customer and spoke English to them, the server didnt suggest the corner seating with the crowd. I mean I prefer to space out still because of COVID. The food is pretty good actually and delicious, but pricy like $13.99 for a M size Pho and there is a 10% service charge already on the bill.
Very clean, and good
Good service. Very healthy and delicious dishes. A must try place.
Very nice place. Very clean.
Great place. Excellent Vietnamese food. From the tom yum to the spring rolls. Try the sour sop drink its fresh. Spice is generally mild (even the extra spicy) portion sizes are good and will have you feeling stuffed .
Great clean spot
Nice classic Vietnamese pho house. They take debit and credit over 10$.
Me and my wife went to Pho Vietnam this evening and my wife ordered the house special and I ordered the rice with chicken dish. Both dishes were brought to us hot and fresh. Wonderful customer service from the waitresses. I would recommend this location for Pho.
I took my wife to have a meal some time ago: the ingredients are too dirty and not fresh
I love this place. We drank our tea for a short time while we waited for our pho The grilled beef pho is the best! We got small sizes and it was perfect for us. There s also a Starbucks down the street.
Tbh, the food was good. The portions were ok. I got the large house special and a coffee. I walked out $27.89 lighter. The automatic 15% service charge was... Upsetting. I didnt expect to pay this much.
First time trying this place for dine in, the food was average, the servers are not friendly .however they charge your bill 15% automatically added on your receipt, maybe that s why the servers don t even try.
Vietnamese soup must try
Whether or not
Great soup
Had been visiting Pho Vietnam at Kennady location for nearly a decade, if not more! Ms. Mai had been phenomenal, courteous and remembers her customers very well, together with their orders! Food are freshly cooked, place is clean, prices are reasonable and I love the Vietnamese coffee they serve!
it was OK, but i prefer Pho Nam Dinh up the street for taste.
We (5 adults) were starving & walked in at 7pm on a wednesday , the waitress immediately & very politely told us that they closed at 8pm. We took about 20 mins to order & the food arrived, literally within 5 mins. Large Beef Brisket Meatball Rice Noodle Soup was absolutely delicious & more than enough for all of us. Deep fried tofu, deep fried soft shell crab (seasonal), steamed rice with two grilled pork chops, Beef shish kabob with mint leaves with vermicelli & Vietnamese Fried Rice. We finished around 8:20pm, however the waitress DID NOT hover or come over to remind us that it was past closing time. BONUS: Forks individually wrapped up + extremely clean washrooms + affordable & authentically delicious ... lastly, left overs
Server is so rude. Our orders took 1hr to get served. they didnt even appoligized, and the funny thing is the server is the who is annoyed with us.
1 waitres is so rude the shorthair lady and we need to wait 45 min for just the appetizer and not saying something why our food is serve late bcoz that lady didnt punt our order in the machine
Good food!
Been ordering from here for years. Tasty food and friendly people. Love their spring rolls!
Great place for Pho
Waitress was rude and took our food away and didnt ask if we were done. Also check your bill closely as they may over charge...
Havent been here since the start of the pandemic. Its good to find that not much has changed except for price, which is expected. Overall, this place will always be my regular spot.
I used to love coming back here because their food is good, but now food is just right, became smaller portion and got super expensive. Eg. Their springroll is now $15, it used to be $7.
Bad service, MSG soup, overcooked beef
Straight diarrhea after having the stewed beef brisket noodle
Ok not best
they are very fast with their orders, its my fav pho place: i always order the grilled chicken pho and i love the way the chicken is marinated/seasoned. great portion sizes that it always lasts me at least 2 meals even the small sized order.
One of my go to spots in Scarborough for consistency and authenticity. This place is absolutely delicious! A must try place with super clean and clear broth.
I m Vietnamese and I love pho, but bro what the heck is 15% service charge slapped right on the bill lol that s whack. There was literally only me at the table????? At least tell people there s a service charge for indoor dining. Also the pho wasn t even that good and it s overpriced. $13.99 for a large bowl of pho, and I was still hungry as hell.
This pho is the best place to wake you up after a fun night. Very flavorful and rich broth, we ordered P21 and P22 medium size, cant stop drinking soup. As a big fan of pho, pho Vietnam is the only restaurant we cant stop drinking soup and actually finished noodles and soup. Love this place and definitely we will come back soon.
Charged 15% by their policy. Why you don t go to rob bank? By the way, Food is very average quality. Nothing special.
Delicious, nice and clean, great food, super friendly staff, great recommendations if your new. Vegetarian options: They got them all. Parking: Super accessible Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly
It is just Alright! Another pho place! Nothing like wow!
Food was tasty. Stewed beef was a bit too chewy though. Above average prices. 4/5 stars Food
Great pho and the prices are reasonable. They take pride in keeping the inside very clean and sanitized. It doesnt look like much from the outside but I was pleasantly surprised. I will be back next visit to Scarborough
Terrible service and demand tip
Good noodles soup.
Pho Vietnam s is very good .. food so delicious and we enjoyed it very much
Food was delicious! Esp the P3!! Phan was super friendly
Nice
Honestly not impressed when I see people cleaning the tables wearing blue gloves then bringing your food order with there thumb half in the bowl or in the plate. Also I don t like the fact that they force you to give them a tip with a service charge.
Hear me out for the 1 star experience 1. I ordered P6 from the menu. The pho noodle tastes dry compare to other Pho restaurant. The brooth is full of MSG, which is also okay compare to others. The beef is not good quality, raw beef turns fully cooked in hot brooth in seconds, and its dry. Overall, pho quality is 6/10. However, i did order a Large, i swear they just use a bigger bowl and give me the same small portion. Soup fills at least 2/3 of the bowel. I have no idea where the extra $2 had gone to. More MSG soup? 2. Service is just normal, waitress wearing a mask but didnt even say a word the whole time, used a finger ask me if I am by myself. Then i was given a paper to write down what I want. There is no AC, it is hot to dine in. It is clean in the restaurant, but my table had oil mark on it. 3. When l want to pay the bill, the bill comes up with 10% service charge on it, which is Unheard of in any Pho restaurants Ive been to in Toronto. I believe its either the owner or the manager bring me the bill, i was about tip them anyways, but wasnt expecting a service charge. 4. The most ridiculus moment happened, i put down a 20, the guy didnt take away my bill, just looking at it, so i look up to him, he asks: can I just take the whole thing away? along with a gesture of not giving me changes back. This is what leads to this 1 star review. I can believe he expect me to just leave 20 for one bowel of pho. I mean if it is a fancy restaurant, with excellent service, along with good quality food OR I am filthy rich, sure, expect 25% tips is reasonable. But consider the experiences and the food Ive just had, the owners expectation from his customers is beyond reasonable. Please pay attention when you order from them. I dont usually leave 1 star reviews, but i will not return to it for sure.
Its our favorite place to eat Vietnamese noodle soup. We have been coming here since my children were little. Now they are adults.
Servers are rude. Food is average.
This restaurant was clean and tidy, the food was good but very pricey compare other Pho.
This is my absolute favourite of the pho places Ive tried in the Scarborough and surrounding areas. Just a fantastic experience each time: the meat is always fresh, the portions always generous (more meat than other pho places Ive tried, and a more manageable pile of rice noodles: the perfect balance), the broth is always rich and beautifully flavoured, and I love that they not only offer beef tendon, they dont skimp on it! Both my husband and I have noticed that after a lovely meal of pho, we always feel so peaceful and satisfied for the rest of the day (as a good meal should do ) and thats especially true of this restaurant. You can tell the quality of the ingredients is high, and we really value that. My only regret is that I ate it all today before remembering to photograph!
Great pho
Please DO NOT ORDER THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE!! Its a scam. The owner says she only used skip and to order from there.
Its pretty decent food, its my Vietnam take out go to.
Great food and dine in service, although everything had a taint of lysol from cleaning. The only issue that arose was the automatic 15% surcharge on top of the subtotal and tax. This is a rather bold statement to customers that are not informed of this in advance. This tells me their service is only as good as 15%, so dont expect any better: and if I dont like the automatic fees being imposed (especially a fee on top of taxes) Im welcome to take my business elsewhere. Either scenario suggests a very limited scope of business practice and how to welcome guests to return, something that I have no intention of doing.
Im never disappointed with their menu, their staff, and this location. Everyones pretty friendly and welcoming, and their place is warm. I really enjoy their deep-fried rolls, which is never overcooked or burnt. Their pad thai is one of my fave dishes, which I always ask for extra chicken. Squeeze some lemon over it, and youre good to go! However, my favourite dish is their soft-shell crab! Make sure to ask for an extra sauce while youre at it.
If you re craving pho. This place is fine. It s not outstandingly good or bad. It s just average. Nothing special. But it is enough to satisfy a craving or enjoy a warm meal. I got the beef brisket pho. Tastes alright.
Loved my tripe pho order
Great place, a little bit darker outside Unfortunately the street isnt very well lit but the parking lot is fairly large and the indoor decoration is very simple clean and very very functional It was pretty quiet but the evening we went and we ended up with the massive bowl It was absolutely a great experience. Mind you we were only there for the food so lets talk about that.. The broth is nice and light and theres a little bit off salt and Im very little rough that mayo fattiness that youve want without ever cutting your tongue. Definitely recommend for a quick, healthy bite!
Good food, mediocre service. Parking can be tricky. Ordered a large bowl of noodles, a rice plate and a coconut juice. Bill was just shy of $40.
Charging a mandatory 15% service fee should be illegal for ordering only two items. Soup also tasted like it was made yesterday. Go to Pho nam dinh instead which is not even a minute away.
This place is asking kids under 8 for a vaccine passport and food is rotten and the chicken is rotten and the staff are very rude and unproffesional.
Great Viet place. Love their food and best service.
