Definitely worth a return visit. Food and service was of high quality.
Dropped by here for lunch on a work trip after a recommendation from the museum. The cafe is really cute and great vibes overall. Food was good and priced reasonably. Service could improve — they forgot my drink and did not apologize for it. From my understanding it is considered a historical place in Timmins.
Hands down the best breakfast around. Wait times are usually a little longer than a typical dinner, but the wait is well worth as the food is top notch and the staff is friendly. Home fires are legit, and out of this world, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Also top-notch espresso or cappuccino, regular coffee is up to the task as well. Would highly recommend the breakfast Sammy, it's served on an everything bagel and is delicious.
We had burgers and fish. Loved my burger and fries. Daughter liked the option of upgrading to poutine. Food came fast because it was right at lunch rush. In the past I've found it slow. Great experience over all. Staff brought our drinks and meal in a friendly, timely manor.
I was in Timmins for the holidays and we decided to go for lunch at the Mac. Not a great experience! We were seated for 20 minutes before anyone even came to our table. Almost an hour later, we still had no food. When I asked the waitress if our food was coming, her reply was very rude. She said she didn't take the order so it wasnt her fault then she said it takes at least 35 minutes for wings. It does not take that long to cook wings. Her reply should of been, I'm sorry I'll look into it. We were willing to wait a little longer but the rudeness of that waitress made us decide to leave. I'll never be back.
Service was awful. Waitresses were very rude, didn’t come to refill coffees. Took forever for the food to come and when it did come it was cold. French toast is bad, scrambled eggs aren’t very good when served so cold. Bacon and hash browns were alright but definitely not worth waiting so long and dealing with such rude waitresses for. Nice little place with some charm but I certainly won’t return with such terrible service.
Great Miners breakfast this morning! Service was great! Always love staff that smile and know their customers. The cook that did my eggs, was perfect! Busted eggs, yolk broken and flipped, just a little runny, but not to much. Potatoes done on the grill with onions and peppers done to perfection! Left a tip for the cook also!
Old school 50's diner. That's the only thing going for it. I came into try after the owners response on Aug 24 2017. Below is my experience. Unfortunately when i asked about gluten free options the waitress responded "i got no clue, i dont know about gluten". This type of response is unacceptable. The waitress did not even offer to look at ingredients or offer any type of assistance. Poor performance to assist someone with dietary restrictions.
Excellent customer service. Excellent crispy chicken poutine. Excellent portions at a low price. Kid-friendliness: Poutine, fries and onion rings are all delicious. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility is available.

Not impressed. Twice within a ten day span we have gone and they were out of what we were ordering. The waitress was extremely miserable/rude (even before we found out they were out of fish again). We have tolerated the rude behaviour in the past but today was the final straw. We will not return to be berated by an unhappy waitress with an attitude!
I give this place negative 10 stars for the waitress who was very racist towards first nations family all they wanted to have something to eat instead the waitress ignored them for about 30 min non natives were getting served ...I recommend she make an complaint to human rights...for damages
The McIntyre has a very diverse staff who are kind and respectful to all patrons. It is a family run business and we feel like family when we are there. Nothing says Timmins like the Mac. Its an all ages, all income place where people are people. I like the environment. Breakfast is great! More often than not Cindy is our server and she makes every visit so much better.
The fish and chips are the best in town!!!! Ya gotta have it ....

Was here for breakfast with friends about a week ago now. Havent been in here since I was a kid..aside from some paint, hasnt changed a bit. Love it.

This isnt just a coffee shop. This is a place where you can stuff your gullet with a Brie breakfast sandwich and live your best life. You can have a mimosa with breakfast, buttermilk pancakes with delectable syrup, and breakfast potatoes just crispy enough to scratch that itch. This is probably the best breakfast spot in Timmins, and you should eat here.

It was extremely busy but still very accessible.
We had the crispy chicken poutine, one with regular fries and one with curly fries. Both were very delicious. Staff is very friendly. Inexpensive for huge portions. Highly recommend it.

Decided to visit for lunch. If you have time to spare this is a nice spot. Sat down, menus brought and waited close to 30 minutes for our order to be taken (no it wasnt busy). Order placed and another nearly 30 mins for food. Watched walkins place an order and get their food before us. Food brought out, asked if we needed a refill on our drinks, we said Yes please. No silverware brought. Had to go ask for silverware and then the server had to check our table like she didnt believe we had no silverware. Food was great! Never got the drink refills EDIT: I couldnt seem to find a way to reply your question, so I will do it here. We were there just before 2pm on Saturday. It was quite busy when we first arrived, but cleared out in about 10-15 minutes after we arrived. There was maybe 8 occupied tables including ours. I totally get having staffing issues, if anyone was on a lunch hour or trying to grab food before a game they would be out of luck.
Last time I go there. Server was rude. Never smiles. Made us feel like we were bothering her. At some point she said I m busy. You re not my only table. My grandparents have also stop going because twice she pushed back the tip on the counter back to them. I guess it wasn t enough for her. I m shocked that Judi let s someone like that work for her. She was a larger women, dark brown hair, tattoos, late 30s early 40s. A few weeks ago.

Delicious beyond the meat burgers (suitable for vegans, vegetarians and halal diets). Request no sauce unless you like spicy .....if you do you can try the Mayo sriracha sauce. Snowshoes are also delicious and lemonade was perfect (not too sweet). Customer service spot on.

Looking for an amazingly delicious breakfast (the only meal Ive had there)? Then the McIntyre coffee shop is a great spot to stop in! Friendly staff, and a clean restaurant. Very fairly priced as well! Definitely going back again.

Slow service,forgetful, burnt tasting coffee
The wife and I make a little ritual of it on Sunday morning to go have breakfast at the coffee shop. It gives me a chance to talk one on one with my wife, catch up on the news of the week. The service is always great from those smiling waitresses. The food is great (way to go chef or master cook whatever you prefer). The prices are very reasonable. All In all love that little spot, nostalgia at its best from the pictures of the past on the wall right down to the spining stools at the counter. Hey dont change, its just perfect the way it is
Breakfast only or a clubhouse frys need some attention
Fries were overcooked. Toasted Western egg was only partly cooked, white still runny. We sent it back and the issue was fixed. We wont be going back
Easy access, good food & service
Service was really slow. Food was great.
Had a club sandwich and it may have been the worst I have ever eaten. The turkey was cold, dry, and not sliced in a pleasing and edible fashion. The entire sandwich was dry and cold. The bread was dry. Too much thick lettuce, not enough mayo, hardly any bacon, sandwich was too thick and not apportioned in an appetising way. If there were ham on it I could not identify it as such. Also the sandwich was smallish. A club should be served horizontally and in four quadrants, not in two vertical stacks. Dry, cold, tasteless. Perhaps I will try something different next time. Service was fine. I think the breakfast menu is the best aspect of the place and I will go with that next time.
Reacent price increase makes this coffe shop very expensive.
Slow, slow, slow
Great food but the service is slooooow. Good luck getting even a glass of water once your food is delivered, the servers are rarely attentive and often pretty rude if you ask for anything.
A piece of Timmins history. Diner food at an affordable price. Make sure to grab a butter tart, they are great!

I eat breakfast 2-3 days a week here. Love the food could use stronger coffee but service and food are always great.
Update, simply not worth it anymore. Very disappointed, always short staffed and you feel like your bothering the servers because of personal comment they make such as (Im busy could you hurry? While taking our orders and Im very overwhelmed but Ill be back with that! When asking for the first refill in the 40 minutes we were there.) I used to enjoy comming here with my husband and kids but its just disappointing when we go now. The prices are on the high end for what they offer especially taking in consideration other options in town with much better service and food quality. Their staff seems often forgetful although courteous and more then once I had to go up to the counter to ask for my server or a drink.
We always try to have breakfast here when we visit family.

20 years ago this place was the BEST! Now not so much; but it has so much potential! Staff seems all over the place, but food is alright. Our waitress was throwing stuff all over the table instead of placing it and you could tell she isnt happy. Probably the first place I had breakfast and the waitress was not available to ask for a refill on coffee or anything for that matter. Took about 30 minutes to get the menus, then had to smile at the soon to be patrons sitting along the counter on the 50s stools watching us and waiting for our table. last time we walked out after 45 minutes of sitting there with crickets chirping but unfortunately decided to try it again..
