The rooms were ok. But the service was pretty bad. The breakfast was only at 8h so we couldn't eat there
Very expensive, no balcony to go smoke or to see anything. But the beds were 3 star comfortable and had a decent sized room with a small flat screen. Definitely not worth the almost $200 price tag per night. I only write my reviews 100% from honesty. Not from an emotional standpoint
Thank you for accepting dogs in your hotel. This allowed us to bring all our family in this trip and it went very well! Love the document you made with the rules and the complimentary bag of treats! I recommend this location, it is very close to all shopping/resto!
Great location in the heart of downtown. Reception was impeccable as well as inviting. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was spacieuse. However flooring was dated and could be replaced by laminated floor. Breakfast was included which offered quite the variety . Would return anytime.
Good stay. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Small breakfast area. Close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel is a bit dated in some areas, but overall it is a nice place to stay. They do need to update the heating however because it is hard to control the temperature in the room with the old heater/air conditioning combos. Other than that, a nice place.
While the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the location convenient, the staff is an issue. The young girl who checked me in was apparently new, and not properly trained on the credit card machine. She ended up charging my card three times. I am now out more than $200 beyond the cost of the hotel. The manager e-mailed me the receipts which acknowledge the issue, but she took no corrective action. I've had to involve my bank and Choice Hotels corporate.
Great to find an English speaking hotel clerk. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Room was very clean and comfortable. Price was a bit high compared to other facilities in the area. When I made my reservation the lady never mentioned that they give discount for AAA or any other things like government rate etc.
This location is under renovations, but everything is under control. I like the strict no-smoking policies, clean and comfortable room, availability of a microwave and refrigerator, in-room TV, secure patio door, room controlled A/C and heating with fresh-air intake. Coffee is available all day, and continental breakfast is included. Reception staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is literally walking distance year-round from two malls and plenty of restaurants are close by. Fresh fruits are available from Maxi for those inclined to health eating. For those physically challenged, be sure to ask for a room on the ground floor as there is no elevator available to the second floor. I am sure hotel staff will help with luggages whenever necessary. I had a little surprise during my stay. While working in the room on a sunny and mild morning, I smelled cigarette smoke in the room. A brief check at the patio door revealed the cause: someone was smoking right outside the wall-mounted A/C unit, which doubles as a heater and fan. I am sure this freak occurrence can be avoided by putting up signs to divert smokers elsewhere. Although the hotel is going through renovations, all services are maintained. I am looking forward to the renovated hotel which offers free hot continental breakfast in a dedicated room. Mmmm... bacon and eggs with best coffee in town to start the day!
Slightly outdated facility. Light burned in the room and toilet made noise due to plumbing problem. Also during my stay, I was surprised to see that the receptionist did not speak French

The room is outdated, the lampshade has a hole in it, the sink plug doesnt work, the toilet flush works only half way, the smell of humidity is pronounced, you can hear everything that happens in the corridor and in the rooms neighbors, room at ground level with patio door opening onto a sidewalk/parking lot but no bench/chair to get some fresh air outside the room, polite staff but nothing more, cash payment not accepted. Also, if you arrive before your room is ready or you have handed over your key and you have to wait a certain amount of time in the lobby, you will be refused access to the bathroom and will be asked to use the toilet. from the Mikes restaurant located in the parking lot opposite. All this for the modest sum of $290 per night. Clearly on my next medical trip, I will change hotels hoping to find better. Walkability: Near stores, restaurants, pharmacy.
We had taken the trouble to book the day before, as we knew we would arrive late the next day. we arrived with all our luggage and the room was not made. The receptionist didnt believe us and had to go up with us. he ended up giving us another room in which the toilet did not fit well. We ran out of shower products. At lunch, there was no hot dish (it was Saturday). As for other foods, everything was lacking. empty cereals, no fruit, no yogurt, no muffins, just a few slices of bread. There was no hot water for making oatmeal or tea. In the evening either, no hot water to make tea. In the corridors there were trash bags everywhere. Value for money is not there at all.
Very poor service, we had to go to reception several times for various requests and it took a very long time before we received them, lack of towels, sheets, etc. When he left the next day there were lots of splashes on the car, where that came from were not sure... And we wont talk about lunch, no syrup for the waffles, no milk for the cereal, no juice, no fruit, etc. And we ask them why theres nothing, they tell us sorry, its all gone even though he knew it was going to be a busy time with the festival. We pay $1600 to be told that and have a minimum of service, we are very disappointed and we do not recommend this place.
My family and I stayed in this hotel because they were out of options, everything is busy, we slept in room 231 and we suffered a lot these three nights, they have bed bugs.
Excellent rooms with comfort
I do not recommend this hotel, it is more expensive than other best hotels in Sept-îles. It hasnt been renovated in a long time and a lot of things are outdated. When I arrived the sheets had not been changed, the desk chair was dirty, the coffee had not been removed from the coffee maker, the toilet was not working properly. The positive points: friendly reception staff, the bed is comfortable and there is (very) hot water. For the location, its not great either though.

Very nice hotel! Its clean and welcoming. The only negative point is the heating in the room, it took me a while to figure out how to adjust it and then its very difficult to set a suitable temperature. But other than that, I would definitely go back.
Room too hot on arrival, no one at reception, TV in 4 non-functional rooms :( We were told to unplug and reconnect the wires!

I am a regular customer of this hotel. Usually I would give 5 stars but this time the reception was not great. Can I have a second key? No! Is it possible to plug in my car? No, the outlets dont work. In addition, the employee had parked her car in front of the entrance to my room.
Breakfast is simpler than that of Baie-Comeau and if you reheat your egg and mc muffins, you can be sure that the coffee maker is not working. It blows up the Breaker lol. Rooms: Clean double bed room! In the 2nd you can risk washing your feet with the same flow as your head at the same time. On the first floor if you are a smoker it is suitable, but in winter the patio door is not very cold-proof!! Food and drinks: Mini dep on the left when you get home (Chip, liquors, beer, frozen meals) if you really dont want to go out (Mikes restaurant next door, McDonalds, convenience store less than 5 minutes away and grocery stores)

1st I had to wait around twenty minutes at reception. Indeed, there were three guests who had a problem with their reservations (one would have rented their room even though they had a two-day reservation, not to mention a credit card problem that the receptionist was unable to resolve) . 2nd Despite the fact that my reservation was made by my employer (via international travel), the receptionist insisted that I pay with my credit card for which she already had the number since I come from time to time on a personal basis. I explained it to her but she didnt seem to understand. I made it clear that I did not want her to use my credit card (the payment had already been paid by International Travel). She acquiesced but in the morning, a bill for $175 had been slipped from my card... So I had to wait until 8:00 a.m. (I always leave the hotel very early, around 4:30 a.m. in the morning) to call my employer in order to correct the situation. 3rd The bathroom had not been cleaned (maybe even the rest...). Black hair in the sink, in the bath and around the toilet bowl. There were pieces of paper in the bath that looked like pieces of bandage, in addition to being dirty. 4th During a previous stay, a cigarette butt was in the toilet bowl. In addition to being a non-smoking room (I have no problem with smoking rooms but I would not want to be accused of having smoked in a non-smoking room), it is therefore clear that the housekeeping had not been done. I then informed reception. I was offered to change rooms but I refused considering that I was already settled in and I still have cleaner with me (I cleaned the bathroom). I also reported the situation via a recent survey I received recently. 5th I tried to contact the manager 7 times since yesterday to update him on the situation but, NO response. I consider that $175 per night for this type of accommodation is really excessive!
Bad services and lousy lunch.
We are regular customers for work. There are 2 of us in the room. Normally, we feel here as if it s our second home . But during our last 3-day stay, it happened twice that a person entered our room while we were about to fall asleep. This evening (July 11, 2022 at 9 p.m.) when we went to reception to find out what was happening, the clerk at the reception simply told us that it was our doing so we just had to put the latch on the door. interior. Since when has the hotel made the mistake of giving a room already taken to 2 different people and instead of apologizing, puts the blame on us? I dont understand.
No lunch provided, just muffins and jelly sandwiches. Room that needs maintenance, refrigerator that is not working, non-functional power outlet, bathroom door that does not close properly. Too expensive.

The service at the reception is poor! Arrogant responses! More than disappointing service!!! I understand with the context of lack of personnel that we cannot be at our 100% in terms of quantity, but the quality must be just as good! (This is noted during the evening/night service) As soon as we arrived we were greeted by very curt answers, no manners, I was told several times when my questions were answered. I asked for utensils for my meal which I ate in my room and I was told that I was not allowed to have any. I had to go find a cleaning lady to ask her to give me some. In short, I have read several reviews of this hotel and the problem of courteous service from the reception stands out!! No matter the context, pandemic or whatever, it is about the image of the company, and it is very disappointing to be spoken to like this!

3 nights $500 and up and very disappointing... bed not comfortable... no room service... breakfast very disappointing a muffin a yogurt and a small cardboard juice in a brown paper bag.... dont even have the choice of flavor...really avoided it, we chose it for the name and believed it was good quality and more have never gone to this hotel chain rooms
Optimal comfort! Very comfortable bed, enough pillows, fridge and microwave, it s great! But above all, an incomparable welcome for my 4-legged companion. Lots of little touches, it s perfect! Warm recommendation!
The rooms are very adequate and you have a desk, bed, wardrobe, fridge, toilet, etc. The air conditioning has a little trouble sometimes, but thats it! The beds are comfortable and the shower offers very good water pressure unlike many other motels/hotels!

The room was clean but smelled of cigarettes... the height of all Buffet style lunch advertised on their website replaced by a lunch in a bag... if you can call that a lunch. At $180 per night nothing worth the cost . A coupon for a restaurant lunch could have done instead. I will never go back there again.

Clean place in the city center
We reserved two rooms, one of which was missing the mattress on the box spring, they gave us another room and this one the cleaning had not been done... the third one they gave us the carpet was sticky in places but we stayed there because it was getting really ridiculous! Last year at the same hotel our allocated room had not been cleaned either!
Customer service was excellent. The lady at reception in the evening is really very friendly. Satisfied with our stay.

Very nice experience, in 4 days it was clean, the service is good, the rooms are clean and accommodating. The wifi is good and doesnt bug. The only slightly less good point is that you shouldnt come too late for lunch otherwise it wont be very hot. Otherwise for lunch, there is a lot of choice and it is very good.

To sleep well its not worse except when you have a truck with a refrigeration system that runs all night in front of the patio door of the room and for lunch its the worst Ive seen in my life, the eggs cooked for a long time the bacon probably cooked in the microwave seriously go have lunch at mikes next door rather than pay for a really mediocre lunch. Plus the cleaning lady who wakes us up at 8:00 a.m. to clean the room!! Really ordinary!!! If you have the choice go to another hotel!!

Check in tool longer than usual. Room is just ok looks dated. The hairdryer in the bathroom is weak(useless) but that seems to go for all the comfort inns since they use the exact same brand and model. Hot breakfast is inedible. They have coffee, cereal, juice , yogurt, cheese and some pastries, but honestly not even worth it. For the same amount of money you spend for a room here you can get a much better room with better amenities and better breakfast at other hotels in the area(I know I checked, chose this one because of proximity to my work). Would not recommend and would not repeat.
