Excellent place in Sept-Iles, large portions, very good and they are open when others are closed. The only downside is that the chairs are not comfortable.

A fishmonger with no scallops, our 2 dishes ordered were ok but no more, I found them very ordinary. But on the other hand the impeccable service from the 2 young girls, very kind.

Truly a must-see if you like seafood and are passing through Sept-Îles!

Im passing through Sept-Îles for work and Im looking for a place to have dinner. My afternoon appointment has been rescheduled for tomorrow. Being Monday, I notice that many restaurants are closed here as. When I arrive at Omers house, I see the owner shoveling snow. He explains to me that the opening is at 4 p.m., but quickly changes his mind and tells me to sit down, assuring him that he will serve me. It puts me in a corner where I can make calls and conference calls. The food was absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. I highly recommend this place! Parking: Free parking opposite

Very long service, the club bread was dry and burnt. More than 45 m for a simple club accompanied by tasteless mayo. More than 15 m only to be able to pay very mediocre as a restaurant especially at this price.

As you already know, I am greedier than the average bear. The Bar chez Omer restaurant is worth a detour for the evening menu. The service is excellent and very good and the dishes are delicious. If you are passing through it is worth the detour.

For years I have been told about the marvel that is Omers seafood pizza... Well, know that the legend is true, it is DELICIOUS! Generous in crab, shrimp and scallops, it is worth the expense. Whats better than a hearty meal? A hearty meal WITH an extraordinary server! Joshua was perfect!!! Smiling, welcoming and attentive to the needs of his customers, this young man seriously deserves a salary increase now.

We went for dinner during the week and the service of our dishes was rather slow. The restaurant was far from full and we waited around forty minutes for the main courses, namely poutine and fish. We left the restaurant after an hour and a half of eating. Wheelchair accessibility: Access ramp for entrance, however, the toilets are in the basement via a staircase.

OVERRATED reputation. Greasy, limp fries. Thawed crab club with cold soft toast. Baked potatoes that make you think theyre from the day before. Cod not really fresh. A crisp salad and a tasty beer. Waitress who tells you that you are entitled to your opinion. As a bonus, exorbitant prices.

Decent food. The dishes served are not what is advertised on the menu. The mussels and tiger shrimps were missing from a seafood plate the crab club sandwich was okay, nothing more. A little expensive for the quality and quantity.

Today, August 6, 2023, I showed up at your restaurant at around 6 p.m. We were told that if we didnt have a reservation we couldnt eat. at 7 p.m. we called and we could go to dinner. there is a problem.

Having already been there a few years ago and taking into account your reputation, we wanted to return there during our stay in Sept-iles. When we arrived, we were informed that they did not accept any customers without having made a reservation. Several tables are available. We leave. A few minutes later, I call the restaurant to check if there is availability for 2 people. With excessive enthusiasm, we were told: Yes, of course.............#@*!?

In December 2022, Christmas party without disrespect to anyone and paid for everything by the boss at the end of the evening we leave last and the hysterical owner comes to us calling us a thief and gets into a fight with me and I explain to him that everything is paid but dont listen want to fight with me anyway never seen before I want to clarify that I am indigenous and I felt very insulted the worst restaurant in the whole city with prejudices towards the Innu who leave after a paid Christmas party because he realizes that everything is paid for and finally everything is going well for him and the very slow service we arrived first but served after several people who had come after us in my opinion the owner should quickly change his way to be and to do because in a short time there will be competition, we have a lot of fishing boats and a processing factory with a restaurant like that would have been perfect for us (I know that my comment is late but I have just knowing that I could say it here.)

La nourriture était bonne, mais peu de fruits de mer dans lassiette du Capitaine, beaucoup de remplissage avec les pâtes. Pour un terre et mer, beaucoup trop de riz dans lassiette, les crevettes nétaient pas grosses. Je précise être passé en juillet, ce nest donc pas la saison des fruits de mer. Dans lensemble, bonne ambiance et bien mangé. Un retour en saison de pêche serait intéressant.

We were recommended this seafood restaurant, but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. $53 (with tip) for a tiny crab sandwich. The bread, probably Gadoua, was dry, no seasoning, a poor lettuce leaf, the mayonnaise really had no taste (which, at this stage, is a feat)... at two oclock from here, in Havre Saint Pierre, at Julies, you can have a platter of freshly caught lobsters and crabs for 30 coins more. Inflation or not, this is dishonesty.

Very expensive for a styrofoam plate that contains barely a few mouthfuls of food, consisting only of low-end frozen foods. The only taste I found was the bitterness of having paid for this disgusting thing.

Excellent welcome and service! The owner, Assane, was flexible and very warm towards us (we were in a group). The dishes are hearty and the seafood is well prepared: especially the scallops!

We had made a reservation for 7 a.m., we arrived on time and ordered maybe 20 minutes later at most. Our plates arrived at 9am (two hours later). The room was half empty. We were offered bread after an hour and a half of waiting, but nothing more. When our plates arrived, everything was cold. Additionally, I ordered a rare steak and it was cooked well. After 2 hours of waiting (with reservation) we expected to at least have what we had ordered. If you are not able to have this number of customers in the restaurant, stop bringing them in and notify them that it is full. We were offered NO discounts. The prices were exorbitant for the quality of service and food. We will never go back there.

To start, the seafood dish for two was disgusting (in a good way!), only the fries left something to be desired. The service is average, 2-3 order errors at our table of 10. Its expensive, but everything is pretty expensive in restaurants in 7-islands..

I came there 15 years ago, the place was very different..... The restaurant has a dilapidated look, the decoration is in poor taste for a restaurant offering a menu at this price, the wait is more than long, the portions are consistent, the taste is there but it lacks a little refinement. Overall its correct but nothing more, the administrators should straighten the place out.

This place was THE place to go back a few years ago. We went (a few work friends and I) to have sea food. What a disappointment that was. Sea food was dry in the 2 seafood plates that were ordered. For the others, the seafood pizza was under par. Sorry Omer but that was the last time for me.

It was delicious from a to z The waitress was friendly and smiling. We liked it. It was suggested to us at the Lavoie campsite and we were not disappointed. I recommand it. Parking: Very big.

We have just arrived in Sept-Îles and after several hours of driving we wanted to eat in a restaurant that was not necessarily expensive but above all a restaurant offering fish. the hotel highly recommends Chez Omer. We arrive there at 7 p.m. After ordering, a wait of 1.5 hours to tell them that in case they were not able to serve us within 5 minutes, we would leave because we were hungry and tired of waiting. We felt sorry for the waitress, who was very young, starting her first day in this restaurant and kept apologizing for the delay in the kitchen. She went to get our plates from the kitchen herself. My husband liked his dish (curried mussels that didnt taste like curry) and I liked a steak of grilled salmon with vegetables swimming in oil. A very high bill for a meal that wasnt worth that much. Guess...we didnt have dessert. But we left a tip for the waitress who deserved it after this first evening.

On July 21, 2021 we had dinner at the restaurant at Omer. Our table is directly under a speaker. I ask the waitress to turn down the sound and she tells me that she cant turn it down any lower otherwise we wont hear the music in the other room. She cant move us either even if the restaurant is 80% empty everything is reserved. The chosen wine is no longer available (the SAQ website shows 12 in Sept-Îles and 25 in Port Cartier), the wine glasses are really very very stained, I ask the waitress to replace them, she tells me : its just water that has dried up; she will replace them anyway. The chosen squid starter is no longer available but it does not offer us an alternative. The dish: meh, an industrial roll, the fries are soft, the salad is swimming in its vinaigrette. The Gulf shrimp and scallops are very good though. Two days later, when I checked the bill, I noticed that the waitress still charged us the squid. In short, this restaurant does not deserve the publicity that is given to it.

Disappointment. We drove from Havre St-Pierre to Sept-îles to have dinner at the Chez Omer restaurant at 5:30 p.m., which is not normally during the busy period for a Monday evening dinner. Despite the fact that the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, we were told that it was not possible to accommodate us in the restaurant since it was full. Given that the website mentions that the restaurant offers take-out orders, we asked for the possibility of ordering a crab club and a take-out pizza, telling us that we would not have made the trip for nothing. We are told that this is not possible either since they do not place orders to bring them that day. No accommodation possible!!!!!

Disappointing experience. Seafood pizza...ie with cheese and white sauce: the 2 main ingredients. The dough was undercooked. Low quality/price ratio. Go to Havre-St-Pierre for seafood pizza. Its no longer Omer Lapierre who has been in the kitchen for years and years.

Frankly disappointing during our second visit in the space of 2 days. First visit...really delicious cod that I recommended on our return from Havre St-Pierre.... Served with cold white rice. Without flavor, on a plate without presentation the cod was not cooked in the same way and the quantity was reduced by half. They ran out of products according to them...but they resolved by reducing the quantities or replacing with nothing. And finally the coffee machine didnt work

We asked (in advance) for a vegan meal for a work dinner, without really expecting much... But we were pleasantly surprised! It was delicious; so much so that we forgot to take a photo beforehand. Thank you again for this wonderful open-mindedness.
