Découvrez notre restaurant italien PACINI de SHAWINIGAN. Notre cuisine italienne authentique saura vous charmer à chacune de vos visites!
The only disappointment was the bread was store bought. It should be Italian cut yourself loaves. That would have been the icing on the cake.
I recently dined at Pacini, conveniently located next to the hotel. The location made it very easy to access. The food was excellent, with generous portions that were satisfying and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for its convenience and quality.
Had dinner with some of my colleagues. It was a such great experience of quality food and excellent service and great ambience over all. Enjoyed thoroughly.
The food was served like for a pig. Unfortunately the restaurant doesn’t invest in anything for the food. Terrible soup and lasagna, probably they bought it from Walmart preheated. Very dry lasagna. The girl who served us was so fake and so impolite. The owner needs to look better around.
I was so delighted with the vegan options for supper that I came back 2 days later. I would give 5 stars if the breakfast menu was just as clear with green circles for vegan options (if there are any). Here are the 2 meals that I had: 1. Mafaldina pomodorissimo (9/10) 2. Spaghetti aux tomates rôties, noix et shiitake (9/10).
The food was great, but the service is horrible. The server forgot my mother's food which took another 20 minutes. We were done eating by the time it arrived. Then, she forgot about the dessert for the kids. Horrible service. Just to top it off, no correction was made to the bill. That's the last time we visit, and my fiancée patents live here. C'était une expérience horrible. Jamais encore.
Nice place. Kids friendly. The food is good.
The minestrone soup was great. Appreciate the free coffee refills. I love the decor, it's a very nice looking restaurant. Service was fast and lots of attention was given to me. From what I've read in the comments, lunch and diner are good, but breakfast are not their strong-suits. So maybe avoid the place for breakfast or lower your standards for that one specific meal of the day.
Absolutely delicious!
Nice place for group gatherings. Very little traffic, despite the holiday season. Place to encourage more.
I strongly recommend lunch
A timeless bread oven! Fettuccine Alfredo with famous veal meatball. Great pizza.
Sumptuous decoration to compensate for the relatively modest size of the lasagna and their not very spicy taste? I also looked for shitakes in my mille-feuille lasagna in vain. Special mention to the non-alcoholic cocktails/aperitifs prepared with care and exquisite taste. Like a few other comments, the owner should start chasing the lost smiles of his experienced waitresses.
Very good Portobello pizza
We were a large group for brunch the day after a wedding... the reservation was for 10:30 a.m. We arrived at our table at 10:20 a.m. (there were several tables because it was a large group), the 2nd to arrive and the last served we waited for our lunch for 1 hour 35 minutes we started lunch at noon while we had to get our things out of the hotel rooms by noon we had to ask the hotel to give us a little more time since we hadnt eaten and they only gave us until 12:30 p.m. to empty the rooms ..! Pretty poor service, lucky the food was good and just a little lukewarm!
Correct food and service. On the negative side: loud and unbearable background music. On the carpet (it was midday), there was macaroni and dirt. Eight or ten flies of various sizes and attitudes accompanied me at the table. To improve cleaning. Not recommend it, but in a pinch it works.
Americana pizza is sublime.
Good service, quite expensive
What a regret not to have stopped in Trois-Rivières instead of Shawinigan on the way home. $75 for a very ordinary meal. Mille-feuille lasagna that I ate because its $24 in the trash otherwise... But it was rolling in my mouth. Pasta so overcooked that it was mushy, I felt like I was eating uncooked pizza dough (you know in the middle of a frozen pizza that doesnt cook well) + small, uncooked diced vegetables/arrots ... Its laughing at people, but hey when you go out to a restaurant thats part of the risk. -No parmesan offered by the boy who came to bring the lasagna. -They dont offer free sparkling water now or did she just not offer it? And your favorite butter, for the bread bar? Like many of us, its the garlic one and even if people had told them that there was more, they didnt put it back... *There were a few fruit flies in the boxes where the breads are. Besides, several beers on the Menu but strangely no affordable beers were available this evening Well Jessy the waitress was ok. Although it gives the impression that she wants us to have more (offers the largest format, the most expensive beer first, offers a dessert but we have already asked for the bill...) A bit much ordinary honestly. Honestly, Im not picky and I rarely make a comment, but for real, save your money and go elsewhere... And strangely (perhaps purely by chance) 30 mins later we are both in the toilet with intestinal cramps...
Bad quality
Good this restaurant, except I have never seen their cuisine.
Luxury restaurant bar with unique and very good bread
Good food but bad service from the waitresses, very stupid and very insistent on tipping.
Unfortunately, unpleasant service, the waitress was stupid and sighed several times. Our meals lacked taste and were not very spicy. We werent the only ones who werent happy with the service. We clearly heard the people at the next table mention it to us. The restaurant wasnt crowded, so it wasnt a matter that there were many tables to serve. The waitress was insistent about tipping and clearly showed me at the top of the machine the three possible tip choices, telling me to choose one of the three. For us, this is clearly a no return.
It wasnt good at all
Quickly, wow quantity Explaining a dessert to a child phew here is the image deal with that unable to explain.
Wow! Great experience for brunch. It was definitely the service we received that made all the difference.
Restaurant with miserable reception, refuses me access because I have a trained assistance dog. Im not local and I wont be back either. Waitress as stupid as two feet. Not worth the detour or spending money here.
Between friends without a doubt the best place
The food was good. Slow service, probably due to lack of staff as in many places. That wont stop me from going back there.
Good lunch but not very hot and the waitress overwhelmed!

Food
Expensive and very expensive. I wont go back there again. Despite all the service and courtesy of the waitress were pleasant. Beautiful place, nice atmosphere.
Very good bread bar meal always interesting
It serves bread expired 2 months longer. Everything is poorly organized.
Lunch during a conference
Super good lunch Parking: Very spacious rear
Alright
Welcoming staff and delicious food! I have a complicated diet and the waitresses were able to answer my many questions.
We ate pizza Fine dough and good pizzas
Very nice restaurant located on the ground floor of the Énergie hotel in Shawinigan where we were served courteously and quickly. There are 2 private rooms, a bar in the middle, a bread bar. The dishes were all very good, starting with the starters (Caesar salads), the main courses (mushroom and truffle duetto pizza with linguine Alfredo accompaniment for one, pesto and goat cheese pizza for the other), as well as the desserts (including verrines which are delicious without being too copious). We will return! Vegetarian options: Several options offered including pizzas (pesto and goat cheese, mushrooms and truffle, primavera), pasta dishes (lasagna, spaghetti, linguine alfredo, penne primavera, vegetable risotto and goat cheese), varied starters (Italian salads, salad of kale, parmigiana fries, arancini).
Everything was perfect thank you Parking: Great
Good service but meal was cold
I came to Pacini reluctantly... because the imported wines of the time were not up to the quality of the food! On bon lucente reconciled me with a wine pairing worthy of Italy! THANKS Ill be back very soon!!! Yvan
Im going to swim at the hotel and not at the restaurant
Very good good service the prices are a little too expensive we still have a bit of an appetite but I liked the experience
Excellent service, fast and courteous. They took care to help us with our dietary restrictions, thank you!
The meal was cold.
Bread bar, without bread, for lunches, and we should apologize for that. Three times in the same lunch. Dont be afraid to wear it.
Excellent food and A1 service
Delicious, courteous service.
Very nice restaurant, very well received. The benches are practical for young children. The food is good, the dishes arrived hot. For our part, who are from the south-east of France, a touch of olive oil, garlic or basil is missing. However, we were not disappointed. Weve been in Quebec for 8 months and its the best restaurant weve been to. We will come back for sure.
Beautiful calm atmosphere, very spacious restaurant.
Really good and good...
Excellent to recommend beautiful place beautiful atmosphere very friendly
Excellent pizza but honestly, I think the furniture has reached the end of its useful life
The food is very good, the service is very good but there are waves running everywhere and people are yelling as if they were at a beach party. Seriously, I had 3 children. I love children but there are damn limits! Attached is a photo of the clowns in question!
Excellent price for children!
Decent atmosphere, more than 2 hours to be served on a Friday evening. Very salty food.
The squid had more breading than meat.
Everything was correct, nothing more. Beautiful, clean and modern restaurant
Please note that the takeaway menu prices are increased by 10% compared to the prices on the à la carte menu. You will therefore pay approximately the same price as if you had been able to benefit from the bread bar, unlimited water, table service, the addition of parmesan....but basically you will only have one brown bag with an aluminum dish and plastic utensils. Lets boycott this type of business that does not understand their customers budgets. Do not come and tell me that this is the cost of placing orders online... it is not up to customers to pay for such a service, I remind you, customers who buy to take away, have clearly fewer services at the end of the day. Even when ordering by phone, they charge the price plus 10%, so its not a question of managing an online ordering platform thats the issue here.
Excellent service. Our waitress (Amélie) was very attentive. Very good food. We will return.
Nice atmosphere and excellent service at lunch
Brilliant bread bar! Just as good as pizza
Good Italian restaurant, the decoration is superb and the bread bar is good for satisfying those hungry
Excellent service but the meat spaghetti tastes like a can of Cattelli sauce! The same generic tasting lasagna that is absolutely not worth what it costs!
Very good and excellent service. The bread bar is a must, especially for keeping children waiting. One of the only restaurants that could accommodate us at 2 p.m. on Saturday (the others were closed in the afternoon).
Excellent cuisine and cocktails
Very slow service
The waitress was very busy and came less often for service, service a little slow but always polite. Good meal but some smaller portions which could have been more generous.
We arrived at this restaurant by chance and we were not disappointed. What first attracted us was the childrens menu which for $10 is plentiful and varied. The à la carte dishes are also varied and reasonably priced. The bread bar is a good idea and very nice. The staff is very kind.
The pizzas are super good!
Unbeatable for quality at a good price!
Worst brunch, a burnt crepe, for me. My partner took the more expensive brunch plate than at Eggki and it was hard...he was refused to have the crepes at the end, because it was Sunday ....Too many people, the waitress told us!The Pacini a trois rivières is of better quality!I could add more...there were 3 of us and we couldnt believe it!
Tipping obligatory? We went to this restaurant for dinner on a Sunday evening with my boyfriend. The food was very good and we generally had good service from our waitress. On the other hand, when it was time to pay and enter the tip on the machine, my friend was going to tip a certain amount but the waitress almost forced him to put $8 (15%). Tipping is never obligatory and the amount is the customers choice. We always give some but never should a waitress force it on us. I understand that she has a tipped salary but that just doesnt happen. Besides, she had no business looking at the machine.
The food was really excellent, even the leftovers (with the quantity on the plates ) were excellent reheated at home. The service was impeccable and the restaurant is truly wow inside. In addition, the location of the restaurant is superb outside, on the edge of the St-Maurice . Dietary restrictions: The menu for a gluten-free diet is really very varied. We went to this place for this menu and we were also supposed to go there for dinner before, for this same menu, but the restaurant was unfortunately closed at the time.
Pleasant place for a short stay
Good service and the food is good. Try the parmigiana fries, they are excellent! Vegetarian options: Several options are indicated vegetarian Kid-friendliness: There is a childrens menu
We had the most horrible service, its a shame because I like Pacini, stupid waitress, rude bordering on insulting, I dont plan to go back there
Great experience for a quick lunch with impeccable service
Family atmosphere. Possibility of swimming
Everything was excellent! We just loved it! Be ready to put your hand in your pocket cause for pasta it still expensive tho.
I went there for lunch and I was not disappointed. Nice choice of menu, pitcher of coffee on the table, bread bar and no pressure on the duration of our occupation of the table I recommend it! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
I come regularly for work and the end of the evenings are painful. Vacuum cleaners at 7:45 p.m., bread bar closed... Passing workers can be regular customers as long as they dont smell too much because an employee is closing his section or is eager to finish.
Lovely welcome and excellent service! The food is good!
This is the worst Pacini Ive been to. Dough received cold and tastes nothing. Very slow service. Booking for 4:45 p.m. we didnt leave at 6:45 p.m. and we didnt even have dessert. No one came to ask us if everything was perfect because they would have said ok. It was lucky that the bread bar was there.
I had the soup meal at dinner on the outdoor patio and it was very good. There were few people there this Monday so the service was perfect.
We showed up at this restaurant for a family dinner on a Saturday evening around 7 p.m. When we arrived, the host asked us if we had a reservation, we told him no since we were coming from outside and we did not have this information. She mentioned that the restaurant was full for the rest of the evening. However, several tables were empty as well as a few outside. Very disappointing.....
Very poor service at this restaurant We asked for the terrace and were told no, table not clean with stupid tone of voice 15 minutes to place our order and another 20 minutes to receive it. The pizza dough is soft, my friend said so as a comment and the response was that the cooks are not very good. We ask for the bill to leave and the waitress has disappeared. We finally paid to another colleague. Sincerely, a very worst service I have had in restaurants. The waitress is really out of place. We spent over $50 for a very disappointing lunch and dinner.
Not edible. Spaghetti that tastes nothing too much like tomato juice. Pizza dough not cooked.
we waited 1 hour before receiving our meals when it was a busy Tuesday at 8 p.m.
Very disappointed with the meal.... Such a small lasagna and poor service for the price. The leatherette of the bench seat was almost disintegrated!!! The plates were served by young people with no experience. The best seems to be behind us for this Pacini.
Children running around and making noise all mealtime.
I used to go there quite often and usually I like the service and even gave a good review in the past. My last time went like this That ; I ordered a salad, the woman came back with the salad in less than 60 seconds. Thats already very suspicious. The salad was absolutely DISGUSTING the leaves were wrinkled and old. I didnt touch it at all and the lady still made me pay for it. I already know it was a salad that was already made but not used. I wouldnt even be surprised if they just put it back in the fridge for the next victim. But I wont come back to it again, dont worry
Kid-friendliness: Chaise haute Food
good welcome, quick service time, very good food pleasant atmosphere affordable price
We were on vacation, we had dinner at this place with my wife Denise, everything was good and great
The pizza is delicious and a good portion. Enough for a man and too much for a woman.
Very good service and the food was super good!
We stayed at the hotel, lunch is included. Many tables are free but say there is no place before 11 a.m. and the coupon is valid until 10 a.m. I ask her to take the free table behind her, she tells me that she is reserved and I ask for the time of reservation to leave before they arrive but it is at 9 a.m. and it is already 9:45 a.m. after several discussions she accepts and at 11 a.m. no one had not come to all the supposedly reserved tables So, moral of this saga, reserve your lunch the day before and dont say that you are staying at the hotel.
Food
Exceptional service and very good meal
I love going to Pacini. I am always well received.
Impeccable service, great choice of pizza!
Mediocre meal and not pleasant waitress who complains about her tips....
In this case, the pizza was very good. Service was very good despite the stress as it was well attended.
Very nice restaurant with an exceptional atmosphere, excellent food and very polite staff!
a big THANK YOU to the friendly Martine for her service...Don Giovanni we love you from the Rivière du loup gang
For our conference, we enjoyed the quicker dinner menu, I chose a duo: Americana pizza and bologna pasta.
The staff are very friendly and the food is great.
The meals were good, its still a pacini, with the same dish and the same quality. A negative point that bothers us We took the trouble to book 2 days in advance to finally arrive and have the table next to the door,,,, very ordinary! We had reservations!!! When we went there it was crowded and the service was not adequate, the waiters did not come by to validate if we wanted other drinks. Perhaps this situation was caused by lack of staff? However despite the workload the staff were always friendly. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free offered Parking: Available Kid-friendliness: Yes but not ideal
We were a big gang, it was still good for the speed of the service, thank you!
For the first time I am not disappointed with this place, I found exactly what I found at the other Pacinis. Thanks again to the entire team.
I loved it, excellent
Good meal, good service, very pretty and clean. The employees are friendly. The bread bar is fun and tidy.
30min and not even water or service yet
Bad service it s horrible!
Risotto wow
Excellent food! And who doesnt love a bread bar?
Good dish, very good service...
Excellent food, excellent service Vegetarian options: Primavera pasta, veggie pizza... Dietary restrictions: Will make sure your needs are met, well explained menu items Kid-friendliness: Nice kids menu, waiters great with kids
Good food, very good service.
Quite disappointed with my meal (tender chicken with disappointing taste, cold tomato paste tasting nothing and burnt, unseasoned pepper), luckily the toaster was there to save the day, as was my dessert..
Good service, courteous and efficient, kindness
Very good lunches. Nice atmosphere, good service Very well located
Parking: Pas beaucoup on stationne dans la rue Food
2 meals out of 4 cold and poorly cooked, correct service, nothing special.
We booked for 10 people and we were in a small closed room, which made us happy. Our waitress was friendly and the service was good. However, the food was average and the prices rather expensive. The fries had more fried onions than fries and the fries were dry. One of my colleagues chicken was cold and the portion was small. Another had grainy ice cream for dessert.
Good breakfast included with reservation at the Énergie hotel
Response to owner: Reread my comment, I indicate possible solutions. Initial comment. Difficult to give a rating. I sometimes go to eat at this Pacini. Some aspects are better than Pacini in Trois-Rivières but others are worse. Service remains the Achilles heel of this restaurant. There is clearly a lack of training, customer service training or else we need to review the kitchen staff who are not providing. I would like to believe that there is a shortage of staff, but there are limits to seeing staff taking care of their cell phones more than customers The waitresses seem to take great pleasure in never looking in the direction of customers who have their plates already on the table to see if they need anything. Even to pay its too long waits. In terms of food, I like to have Carbonara pasta. I dont understand why this pasta is systematically OVERCOOKED. One wonders if the pasta is not pre-cooked, then left too long in the hot water bath to reheat it before serving, or if it is already mixed in advance with the sauce and the dish metal has gone into the oven (the dish is not hot enough to consider the 2nd option) The cooking time for hard pasta varies between 8 to 12 minutes to have it al-dente. The time for customers to be served and finish their entry must be close to this time. No reason to prepare pasta too far in advance. The pizzas are good, nothing more. The intention to reduce the amount of salt a few years ago, to be healthier, was laudable, but it is true that pizza dough lacks taste. A little olive oil around the edges would improve the taste. The tomato sauce is really too acidic. Im not sure whats wrong with this restaurant. Lack of staff, chef who does as he pleases?
