Good is good, service is fast! New prices are a bit too steep for what it is.
The first time I went there ,they had a limited menu but The food was tasty . It was the perfect local diner. I went back last week. They had expanded their menu, unfortunately, the taste and the quality was gone. The egg rolls had obviously been bought on cheap end of the frozen department. The chicken wings were tasteless.
Order the pancakes. They have sugar shack pancakes that are amazing and available year round. They're fried, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They're pure magic. But bring your own maple syrup as they serve fake syrup with their pancakes. They're so so good! Whenever I'm in town to visit family, I stop by that place. Can get them in take-out as well. They've been around for so long, and know how to make good delicatessen food as well. Parking can be awkward though.
Good service but pizza quality was very average. Do not get any pasta. You'll make it better at home.

The food is really good and so are the prices. I find their glasses, cutlery and plates are sometimes dirty but meh It's cleanable. Personel is very courteous too.

Very reasonable price service was good too but the restaurant could do with a refresh upon entering we can notice that these are not super maintained the ceiling has stains the toilets are not super clean and as for the changing table only in the toilet of the ladies Parking: The parking lot is not very big but you have room to park in the streets behind without problem Kid-friendliness: High chair and booster seat available on site changing table only in the ladies toilet Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps so very easy access

Wow! Italian poutine is just wonderful in the mouth yum yum. Super good sparkling steak and whats more, quite a spectacle when it arrives at our table. Succulent Jello... Everything is just too good to eat in addition to courteous and fast service!

I got picked up because I was wrong about the tip... never again Im going back there honestly, we dont have to give tip and the waitress comes to make you feel bad because you didnt give her enough and she almost forcing you to give more... sorry but no, the tip is voluntary.

Old-fashioned, unpretentious restaurant... Dont expect great cuisine, you will be disappointed... Correct, nothing more....
How much pizza/poutine is correct without more. My partner had a filet mignon. Fair cooking. The sauce was almost thick like pudding and tasted like cornstarch and a weird taste. The rice tasted nothing. The waitress struggled to find a better sauce. The only alternative is BBQ sauce for poutine. It allowed me to add sauce to my poutine which was lacking. Fortunately the prices are not too expensive. Dont have high expectations and you will be satisfied.
Tasteless lunch. Baked bean reheated with water. Slice of orange dried for 2 days on our plate.

Asked for a Diet Pepsi (Diet because the regular ones contain a lot of sugar and give me a migraine) in a can . and I received a regular warm and flat fountain Pepsi. I was almost scolded like a child when ordering, Im going to go visit my family if I want to be judged. Things get off to a bad start when we arrive at an establishment and we have the impression of disturbing them. Fairly acceptable food; I feel like my burger was cooked with a lively discussion rather than on the grill. But he closed a corner and that was the best I could have expected. Too bad to say but I dont want to set foot here again. Only positive points; the place is big and spacious and well located.
I asked for a liqueur in a diet can, I get it in a bottle and its regular, I didnt even ask if we were interested in it in a fountain. I ask a question about the size of the small pizza and am told that I should order the mini... you dont know my appetite maam you dont even know me. The meal was quite good, my pizza was good I found that it lacked a little spice to really be a garnish. Just a quick note for the waitress when a customer is eating please dont put your arm over the plate youre eating out of pity.

Avoid..... Very limited service (the plates and glasses were taken away from us even though we had not finished the meal). As for quality on the plate, we have rarely eaten so badly in a catering establishment, we have also been sick after the meal

Very ordinary vegetarian pizza: a ton of barely melted and not browned cheese, a sauce that tastes practically nothing, large pieces of uncooked cauliflower and onion, soft pizza dough. It could be relevant for them to ask their employees opinions to improve their recipe.

Last week, Tuesday evening, I was in Shawinigan with my family. There were 5 of us and we were really hungry after a long trip. We showed up at 5:00 p.m. at the restaurant reception to wait to be seated. The lady, seeing us, with an arrogant attitude told us that she had no place even though I saw that the dining room was half empty. I wonder if his reaction was motivated by a sense of racism since we are not white or perhaps for other reasons! Who knows.

It is normally expected that a restaurant with a very simple atmosphere (residence soleil cafeteria style) which clearly does not have a monopoly or a tourist location, focuses on the freshness of its food, the specialization of its dishes and the personality of its staff. Here we have a waitress who obviously does what she can with what she has... We are not the type of customers to return our plates in the kitchen until they are ours. taste, to make a scene or even to write bad comments on the internet for free. We are very sorry, but no one at our table had ever seen such a catastrophic plate of butterfly shrimp in their lives... in addition to being served with rice (soy sauce???) and without shrimp forks (because the owner would be tired of having them stolen according to another customer) they arrived without any filling/breading and were really not cooked... For fear of being sick after fighting with several scales to realize that they were ALL still very hard, we paid our entire bill (still tipping our waitress because we know its not her fault) and left to eat elsewhere.. MEGA big disappointment and loss of money. We will not return there again and do not recommend it either.

Its very good and very filling. We are served well and quickly. The service is very friendly. The dishes are quite diverse and the side dishes are dishes in themselves. Its not great luxury but its very pleasant. I do not regret my visit to this restaurant.
