Amazing food and atmosphere. The staff are always pleasent and accomidating. Was there for our anniversary supper and they made the moment feel special through and through. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful night out.

Dinner tonight (January 14, 2023) with family!!! Its been a long time since weve been to this beautiful restaurant.. We all really enjoyed our visit.. The salmon with apples and brie cheese.. A favorite for me. My son loved your beef tartare.. Thank you very much to the chef for this superb meal and thank you to our server.. A very helpful, efficient and above all very friendly little boy :)

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with friends dear to us at this restaurant, there were 10 of us, the personalized service was on point, thank you to all the staff, the dishes were succulent and the presentation was pleasing to the eye, I recommend you and we will see each other again for sure, Andrée and Jacques Kid-friendliness: Nice touches for young people

The service is great, but Im not impressed with the pasta carbonara. I was served not spaghetti carbonara but fusilli, and it was carbonara drowned in cream :/. So not traditional carbonara pasta, I was disappointed, I should have asked for more information before ordering. The price of wine by the glass is reasonable and the quantity poured generous. The sugar tartlet was good topped with a nice scoop of ice cream, fruit and topped with a drizzle of caramel sauce. It was just the right size for a little sugar craving, and the price was very affordable ($3.25). I will go back to try something else.

The quality of the food was not up to par. The Caesar salad had very few ingredients and $20 for a bowl of green salad is expensive. The pasta was bathed in oil... The service was adequate without being warm either. In short, a big disappointment!

Farm! Update your hours!!! Update: Okay, here we are June 18th - hours still not up to date BUT open and OMG so good. Perfectly cooked steak, absolutely irresistible maple crème brûlée, exceptional service. I recommend 100%. Hat.

Much worse meals, fewer plates, less choice
I went there with a friend without reservation. From the first, the waitress reproached us for not having a reservation and that there was still room inside, saying theres that, pointing to the corner. So we tell him that a place outside seems free and that we are interested. She says in an extremely arrogant tone that it will take her 5 minutes to clean it. We accept this deadline which seems reasonable to us. Other customers showed up with a reservation, the waitress then told us that she couldnt give us the table because people were arriving. No apology, incredibly rude tone. I have rarely seen a waitress so condescending to customers. With the poor reception we decided not to eat there

In the Top of the best restaurants in Shawinigan. And if you really want to eat a good Bavette de Boeuf with shallots, its at La Pointe à Bernard that you will taste it and not elsewhere. And what about the service, exceptional.

Waiting an hour for frozen hamburgers (according to the waitress) and paying full price ($24) is truly scandalous. The service, passable, does not make up for the matter.

As the locals seemed to give the place a good rating, we decided to have lunch there before our camping weekend at Wapizagonke Lake. We were delighted to have a small table on the terrace, in the sun. The restaurant is well located, on the corner of a main sloping street, and parking is easy. The friendly service and ambiance were diminished by the very average quality of the food. Tasteless vegetables, pizza dough close to what we can defrost ourselves at home, cake that also tasted like Sara Lee that we could also have defrosted at home... Its not a tragedy, considering camping who awaited us, but we would have expected better!

Cest toujours un plaisir de visiter la Pointe à Bernard. Le service est rapide, bien quon puisse y passer tout le temps souhaité. Le menu du jour est varié; les classiques sont toujours disponibles et certains items changent tous les jours, et même de semaine en semaine. Enfin, les prix sont très raisonnables. Je recommande chaudement!
It seems like a joke.. Too expensive for nothing. I ordered a plate with steak and potatoes.. There was a tiny piece of tseak.. with a tiny square of baked cream potatoes... for $27.. I was hungry afterwards, well obviously..and I ordered a dish that was supposed to be a tartiflette for $9..but I was presented with a tiny plate..there were just a few pieces of potato..3-4 small pieces of bacon.. not cheese..no cream..uh..a joke..first of all I wonder if they know what a tartiflette is.. I came out of there very sober.
