Totally disgusting and not worthy of calling themselves a cabane a sucre. Where was the music ,where were the maple trees? Now we know why they make you pay before you eat! I'm sure there wouldn't be one person who would feel it was worthy of money. This is one place you don't pray before the meal you pray after the meal. We came from alberta for the experience and we will make sure our first experience won't be a lasting impression. We will be sure to send more transfer payments so that better quality food will be available soon and the true cabane experience will happen. Stay away!
Good food service was good. The staff is really friendly. The "tire" was really good. The only downside was the crepes. They were delicious but they are slow on delivery. You only get one as the pas to distribute and then another 10-15min before you can get more. It would be better to give out more at a time or get faster service on the crepes.
Been there several times over the years with my family group. Always served with a smile and the food is really good too. I only wish they would serve the crepes more than one at at time because the 15 minutes wait in between is way too long.
Good food, a little disorganized but great spirit with the staff.
The worst sugar shack Ive had in my life Lack of staff unlimited service there was a lack of ham she told us in 30 minutes it will be ready the sausages are not cooked in the syrup and they were chicken sausages I definitely recommend going to this place I come out with empty stomach hello
Decent meal, the crepes were very good though. The big negative point is mainly the time it took. The service was at 11:30, but the first food (the soup) arrived only at 12:30 on our table. We had to wait another whole hour before getting the next service. In the end, it took 3 hours before we could go outside to get some taffy. I will not return and I will not recommend.
Avoid! Nothing was good!!
Good, simple food and fair price. Friendly and courteous service.
The worst place I went to there was no atmosphere everything was terrible dilute syrup it looks like maple water the taffy didnt hold on the stick in short for $38 per person its a steal and Its not worth it at all I dont recommend this place even though the waitresses were super nice
Bad
We took the Sugar Shack Meal, dirty place, the food was very bad (not even tourtières or sugar tart), no music, ordinary service and the price very expensive compared to other sugar shacks ($41 /person). Worst sugar shack so far, unfortunately
Probably The worst cabin in Quebec A real shame for the Sweet Classics of Quebec Quite simply thieves The price is Very high for eating hot dog sausages Too boiled and Super C Ham slice thin I strongly advise against
the staff is fine, its really the food that is not edible, the eggs have a layer almost burned on top, the sausages are hot dog sausages cooked in water, they serve boiled potatoes, the Well, its okay with crepes too but really not recommended. No bacon. Long service 1:15 later we were treated to a moderately edible soup, really very disappointed, especially for $36 per person, dont spend your money there!!!!
I paid $38 for a sugar shack meal and I am not satisfied the eggs taste nothing and are spongy overcooked the overcooked boiled potatoes were only served in small portions at a time there were five of them and we were served for two of us didnt even have milk on our table, we had to ask for it every time and the coffee was served in our plastic glass which was the price of our water, very disappointed with this place, they announced their menu with marinated onion creton and bacon, they have none of that and for dessert only dry crepes but the beans ham small sausage and the soup was very good
Very disappointed I paid $38 but its not worth it, dry egg and spongy sausage tasted like water small portion I had to ask several times for other napkins because the portions served are ridiculous I will never return it
For the price its very disappointing, it was the first time and it will be the last. The basic pea soup, there are just pickled onions, no other marinades. A small thin slice of bread afterwards. Then you say to yourself yes the rest is coming! And there, you get a small bolle of over-boiled potato fricassee which tastes nothing, with a soufflé omelette which is dry (remaining pan), small triangle slices of ham, boiled sausages which dont taste like syrup. At least the criss ears were good! No meat pie, no creton, or meatball ragout. The syrup doesnt taste like maple so its pole syrup. Well there are fried pancakes which were good... no sugar tart or pudding chômeurs. In addition, at the end of our meal, we had to clear our dishes and put our plates at the end of the table and take our utensils back, because for the only dessert we had no other utensils...Taffy outside with pole syrup didnt taste like maple. Well, there was a lack of staff, the boss works hard and the other waitress (feels like shes bothering me every time and no smile, BEAST!) In short, its over for me and my family.
Seriously, not edible no cup to put our coffee in a plastic glass arcque omelette no taste, ear of crisis omg small, potatoes which looks like the dinner of a chsld very very slow service waitress no smile we ate our soup pi it took an hour before receiving the leftovers it really leaves something to be desired note 0 out of 10 thank you good evening very disappointed 40.00 dollars per person Seriously you dont even bother
Degueulasse
Really different from the former owner first and last time in life for them really dsl for those who dont read the Google comments before making it, like me, worst sugar shack experience in life
Horrible experience, absolutely avoid. The negative: -The food was bad, poor in taste and even resulted in food poisoning for someone in the group. - The atmosphere was very mediocre: the music was much too loud, unable to hear oneself speaking, ears hurt. The positive: - The homemade bread was very good! Well done - The waitresses do not hesitate to refill this disgusting food on demand, they are very smart. THANKS Doing a service to Quebec heritage please stop this activity!
IT S NOT WORTH THE PRICE OR THE TRAVEL!!!!! Worst sugar shack experience ever, cold food, all the water dripping, the syrup is too diluted the coffee was dripping nothing almost no service and very very stupid service ear of crunch very very hard almost broke a tooth potato bathed in water , the sausage and ham in the water, in the place too hot and music too loud
Worst sugar shack experience, cold and tasteless food. Ears of criss as hard as a rock, the potatoes looked like soup The scrambled eggs looked more like a cake than eggs. In short, its really not worth paying $35 for a meal.
sugar shack
Blue bread
We were here on a business trip and we didnt regret the WoW experience
Open just for us with a superb explanation and family recipes, a big thank you it was delicious and a great moment of sharing!!!
Me and my family (there were 9 of us) had the great pleasure of discovering this authentic maple grove (one of the oldest on the continent). Annie took the time to explain to us the history of her dishes and her maple grove. It was really very good, and we really enjoyed this moment, one of our best moments during our trip to Quebec during the month of July 2023.
A separate place where you will have the pleasure of discovering an authentic Quebecois meal prepared by a charming lady who, through her know-how, will introduce you to simple, traditional cuisine, acquired from generation to generation. She will also take you on a journey through the history of her ancestors who created this place and the making of maple syrup or block. You will also discover superb nature that this same lady will explain to you how to preserve and respect it. I highly recommend this place.
We had Annie and her sugar shack all to ourselves!! She took great care of us and took the time to explain her story to us! We had a great time and we recommend this activity which is in my top 3 of our stay at the end of October 2023!
I cant wait to go back. The Nordics will definitely be there.
For the price we ate very badly! There was a crust on the eggs, the slices of ham were pitiful, the bines were ok as well as the sausages in syrup nothing more, the second round of the table was mediocre we had portions as if there were 3 of us at the table when there were 9 of us. The pancakes were good but when we asked for a 2nd round of the table it took 20 minutes to get them, we asked for a 3rd round and after 30 minutes we never had them. In addition to not offering coffee. We didnt eat any maple taffy because we felt obliged to go out to eat some because they ring a bell to say LAST CHANCE FOR TAFF, honestly an experience never to be repeated. We all ate other things after leaving this cabin. In this message I weigh my words because we were all frustrated by the lack of service and preparation. Really ordinary.
Great
Poor service, not even all you can eat. Our plate was taken away before we had finished eating. VERY mediocre meal that doesnt taste like the cabin.
I will be embarrassed to be the owner and serve this cabin meal! For $36 per person and $18 per child it s shameful! They ration way too much!! They bring you ham for 2 when youre 10 and its as thin as a sheet of paper! When you ask for more food, it arrives lukewarm! It looks like leftovers from the day before! There are lots of good sugar shacks! Avoid this one!
Not satisfied at all! Food, service, atmosphere, cleanliness VERY VERY disappointing.
If you go there, its to get together and have a good time with family and friends, its not to spoil yourself with a culinary experience! More than ordinary food, without love!! Especially for the price. Very disappointing
Great service and good atmosphere
Very very very good service, courteous and attentive staff.
Pity my cabin at home (not much)
very good.very nice welcome and impeccable dinner
We were there for a factory dinner and it was very bad, almost nothing on the plate, food lukewarm at best, crust of blackened dough, for $35 go to the McDonalds instead!
Unfortunately, the food was not worth the price the meat pâté was dry. (we had a Christmas meal). And the person in charge was really rude. From the beginning, this person spoke to us with an arrogant tone, and it was hard for us to restrain ourselves from leaving. We paid for the gang who went the week before us, I think. She told us she had had problems with them. But, in the end, we managed to have a nice office party, while respecting health rules.
I loved it
Good place Warm Friendly staff
Wow we took the order to bring given the circumstances and it was delicious! Sugar shack at home :) Thank you very much for offering this service!
New offer! We tasted the house fried chicken and spiral fries and wings offered with the sauce of your choice (out of 3 choices). Everything was delicious!!! These are ready to go menus and you must reserve the day and time you want your meal. All week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Call lErabliere for reservations and information
The fried chicken is absolutely delicious!!! The fried chicken is really delicious!!!
Small portion and expensive
Hummm the wings better than the Buffalo because today its not good at the buffalo but example as in temp... And the fries like the Buffalo but better... If you like good wings and good fries..the owner the turn with his wings his fried chicken everything is good!
General tao chicken: 10/10
Not so bad
Very good sugar shack!!
It was great, very good.
Delicious, but there werent many choices for people on the Keto diet...
Its very expensive, the food lacks taste and its very noisy. But the pancakes are excellent!!!
Nice family atmosphere.
We reserved the room for a birthday. There were 120 people and no negative comments from the guests. For my part, the owner greatly contributed to making the organization of this event simple and not stressful. Excellent, very personalized service! The meal was excellent. Everyone was very satisfied with this beautiful evening. Thank you again Annie for guiding me through this adventure!
Beautiful decoration but it was cold in the reception room. The food was good and the dessert delicious.
Alright
bland and disappointing
The fried crepes took me by surprise, otherwise at $24 maybe I just wasnt hungry enough, but I find it pretty expensive.
Very good
Great atmosphere, excellent food, a cabin meal!
Succulent meal very good service the girls at the tables very dedicated
Never again! There were several of us and we all agreed that it was the last time we went to this sugar shack. Apart from the taffy and the bins, everything tasted the same: the old fridge. It was disgusting. Omelettes and ham tasted the same: but what is going on in their kitchen? Even the criss ears: 1 out of 2 were not edible to the point of spitting them out! The whole meal was so disappointing that I almost forgot to say that the crepes, at least, were good for dessert. All in all, for the price of $24, its a lot to pay for a meal of such poor quality and little atmosphere. There are plenty of other cabins around that are so much better that we will never go back to this one again. Unless they change the way they do things.
To avoid!!!! We tried the simple meal once because it was close to the chalet but its not good.... make the meal at home... The potatoes are bathed in juice... no entertainment... no service... meal is not voluntary you have to encourage for a second service and they dont want to give it again The visit is not worth it!!
Beautiful place for family and family we feel at home excellent meal!!!
Too full
Great experience! The food was fabulous and the service impeccable, the employees took the time to explain, the owner told us about the process of making the syrup, it was a very good evening, I recommend without hesitation!
Unfortunately in decline for several years. Fewer and fewer desserts and service.
Too commercial.
I loved it, very good service and very happy with the day spent there with my partner.
Nice place for family but a little compact at the table
Nice atmosphere, good service.
Having to return family members because they had welcomed too many people in the end, sausages cooked in water and not in syrup (even not well cooked), coffee in water, without eggs in syrup and little accommodation for problems (its up to us to sort ourselves out). Really disappointing this year and last time we went there, a price that was really too expensive for the food and the service.
Noisy not being able to talk to each other even when shouting. Two singers whose sound was so bad that the lyrics were unintelligible and which added to the already unbearable sound. Beans so cooked that you would have thought they were pre-chewed. Small pieces of smoked sausages. An overcooked, cake-like square of egg. Small triangles of reconstituted and overcooked ham. Rare slices of potatoes in a liquid that is too clear and bland. A pancake disgusting with oil. On the other hand, excellent parking. Its hard not to talk about this unforgettable dinner....
Decent menu. Opening late compared to the reservation. Disservice. Lack of space, sitting on top of each other. The meal is ordinary and the taffy is okay. The place is taken off the list.
Super good atmosphere, but not very good meal.
Really enjoyable with lots of entertainment and music!
Its really not what it used to be, more than ordinary
Super pleasant, the food is good but with a young baby... not super suitable... but I recommend with friends or family!!
Although the food is good, the organization is poor. They use the over-booking technique and ended up with too many people (not enough room to accommodate our group). People from Quebec and Montreal had to return home. The group next to us had the same problem. The staff is abrupt, not at all accommodating. We will definitely not return. Too bad, it was our 3rd year but it seems that there was a change of ownership which also changed the quality standards.
It would be nice to display the prices for adults and children...all the other details are there, except these! Otherwise, its one of the best cabins Ive been to! We will be going back there next week and I can t wait to have a sweet treat!
