61 Rue Wellington N, Sherbrooke, QC J1H 5A9, Canada
Great atmosphere, really like the decor. They could add a little bit of sound dampening as it gets very loud with a lot of reverb from the other tables. Food is amazing, one of the best Indian food I've had, and certainly the best Indian food in Sherbrooke. Service was fine, not the fastest or greatest, but lovely people anyhow.
There’s a limited number of Indian restaurants in Sherbrooke and this is one of the better ones. Decor is great and our servers were fantastic. The food was delicious. Good quantity and it was so flavourful! Highly recommend! We arrived early (so my pictures have empty seats). Not so when we left, it was jammed! A great place for everyone including families.
After reading all the good reviews, our experience at Masala Café Sherbrooke was a bit disapointing. - Food: We both had the thali, wich we took with 3 accompanying dishes that we shared: butter chicken, korma lamb and tikka masala mushrooms. The thali was also served with papadum and chutneys, wich arrived on our table very fast and were excellent. When the thali arrived, it was served with a small fresh cachumber salad and a small bowl of dal, wich were good. The thali was also served with 1 single naan bread, wich was excellent. Unfortunately, when we did ask for more bread, at around 19h30, we were told that there was no more (I though: "no more naan bread in an indian restaurant, really?"). The rice, however, was great! For the thali accompanying dishes (butter chicken, korma lamb and tikka masala mushrooms), they were a bit disapointing. The chiken was good!, but in all 3 plates, the savors were drowned in what seemed to be cardamom (wich is a spice that I like, but not when it is so omnipresent). Also, the lamb felt a bit dry. All in all, the food was okay, but disapointing when you pay 85$ for 2 plates (including a 15% tip), no drinks, no deserts. - Service: Service was another area in wich the Masala café lacked. The waitress was kind and smiling, but throughout the service, we were many times remembered that "the service might be lacking because they (the restaurant) was "smashed" by more customers than they thought they would have on a sunday evening..." which was on the eve of the Journée nationnale des Patriotes, so they should of planed for it (right?). Despite those frequent remarks, we found the restaurant pretty empty and calm at 19h00. The service was fast enough, wich made all those comments a bit unasked for and, quite frankly, a bit unpleasent (although we did empathized with the waitress). Also, we brought our own bottle of wine, wich one of the waitress was unable to oppen, so we did it ourselves, wich was not a big problem but, still, for 85$, you expect a service that includes the oppening of a wine bottle without fuss. That second waitress did told us that she was only there to help the other waitress and was usually working in the kitchen, and that her boss should of planned for more staff (wich, again, might of been true, but was a bit unasked for and unpleasent to be always remembered of that situation throughout the meal). Atmoshpere: Decor and atmosphere were nice, wich was one of the resasons we chose that restaurant to begin with. Price: 85$ (including a 15% tip, for 2 plates of thali, no drinks, no side dishes, no desert). The first thing that my guest told me after the meal was: "Well, that was okay, but definitely overpriced for what we got." Unfortunately, I felt the same way. I hoped our experience there would of been better considering all the good reviews I read before deciding on that specific restaurant. Maybe our experience was a 1-of thing and we were just bad lucked. Still, disapointing.
This place is SO NICE 🤩🤩!!! 💯% recommended, 💯% will come back again. We had a butter chicken and chicken tandoori. They tasted awesome. Furthermore, The decoration of the restaurant is very colourful, and you would eat in a good atmosphere. Plus the staff are friendly and smiling.
It's was good restaurant, ambiance was nice. Customer service wasn't up to mark, it can be better. As per area, food is good but it can be better.
The service is very heartfelt. Coming from India the ambience brings smile on our faces and brings back a lot of memories. Ordered a vada pav and totally relished it.
It was our first time in Masala café and it was a nice experience. Although the menue seemed a bit complicated but the nice and friendly waitress helped us to understand how it works. The place is cozy and has a gorgeous decoration. In general the food was good and nicely portioned. Everything was fresh and tasty but a bit spicy for my taste. We ordered samosas for the snack and it was good but way overpriced! Thalis and nan were tasty as well.
I love the first cozy and clean impression. The table by the window is lovely and their decoration is simple but very cute. The waitress was nice and friendly. Unfortunately we waited for the food a little bit too much but I keep thinking that it’s because of the fresh preparation. The food was fresh and tasty enough for the concept “indo-québécois”. This concept was very we’ll shown in each and every plate. People complain about the untasted food but it’s kinda normal, not a lot of people in Quebec like or can handle spicy stuff. So in general the food was good. The samosas were definitely waaaaay too expensive for the small deep fried potatoes!!! I would NOT recommend this on the menu. However the cauliflower pakoras was a very tasty and cute healthy idea compared to the usual pakoras... their speciality; thalis which are great and tasty. Also their mango lassi was quite expensive but very good and fresh. not a place where I would go back many times but as a first try The Masala Café was alright.
Incredible experience to share, unique flavors
Truly a great discovery, excellent service, quiet atmosphere (weeknight) and above all refined and tasty! To do again :)
Very nice experience. 2nd restaurant since my arrival in Sherbrooke. Enjoyed the veggie part of the menu. Tasted the 4 products offered. Nothing to say. Beautiful place. Pleasant waitresses
Very good time Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly waitresses Enjoyed the veggie dishes
Very nice discovery! The evening started calmly, almost empty around 6 p.m.... but it was the calm before the storm. The restaurant was full in less than an hour. Despite the rush, the service remained efficient and friendly. The kitchen wow! Unpretentious, tasty and well executed dishes, the spices are measured, spicy but not dominant. All this in an airy, original and immersive setting, I say bravo! It is certain that those accustomed to fatty, rich and hearty Indian cuisine will be disappointed. The chef offers refined and balanced cuisine.
HALLICINATING!!! The restaurant no longer takes customers after 7:30 p.m.!!! Never seen before on a Saturday evening, you cant even eat Indian, a shame when its full of students in the street. Be careful, welcome to Quebec, they don t care about making sales here! Leak directly!
The atmosphere was very good and the staff very courteous. The food is excellent. An experience that I recommend for a perfect dinner.
I had a great evening at Masala Café. The atmosphere was warm, the service impeccable and the food delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and will return without hesitation!
Always pleasant. The food is excellent and it s a bring your own wine deal. I highly recommend!
A little noisy when there are groups, due to the open space... perhaps there would be a solution to counter this situation? (Panels, carpets, etc. to absorb this noise). Otherwise, nice nice place.
Excellent food, wonderful service!
Being a regular at this restaurant, I have been very disappointed since their location moved. Poor service...the waitress was stupid and condescending and thats when she decided to come see us instead of eating and talk about their evening the day before with her fellow waitresses at the counter. In addition, prices have increased and portions have decreased.
I wanted to eat Indian last night so I googled and found masala. I went to eat there and everything was perfect. I dont understand the bad comments. The food and atmosphere were great, but above all the service!
Wonderful dining experience!!! WoW! Extremely courteous staff. A big crush
I consider Masala to be a good restaurant that should be encouraged, much more than many others. The food is generally excellent, even tasty, with the one notable exception of the nan bread, which is far too ordinary and resembles that from supermarkets in cellophane. The staff is very friendly and the service adequate. The place is pretty and has a good atmosphere. A tandoori oven would be missing. I go back when possible. Jacques Parking: This is the disadvantage of this restaurant, like those on Wellington Street North.
Very delicious food and friendly service. Will go back
Excellent discovery, I would definitely return
Everything was excellent!! Atmosphere, service and very tasty dishes. I highly recommend.
Everything was perfect during our visit! The service, the atmosphere, the food! Great discovery! We will definitely come back :)
This restaurant is a must when we go to Sherbrooke. The service is excellent, the dishes tasty and the decor exceptional!
Amazing Great restaurant in a warm and friendly setting with very good, fresh dishes! The service is impeccable and very welcoming, in addition to being super nice. Wonderful dishes, spicy with taste! The bread is warm when served. If the restaurant team sees this review; I thank you for your smile, your service and your dishes!
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was far from authentic Indian cuisine and completely lacking in flavor. The worst part of our visit was the behavior of the waitress. When I chose not to tip due to the poor quality of the food, she confronted me aggressively, asking why I didnt tip. Despite my explanations about the poor quality of the food, she continued to harass me, insisting that I should leave a tip because they are underpaid. His repeated demands and attempts to make me feel guilty were completely unacceptable and left us feeling very uncomfortable. To the owner: If you see this notice, consider paying your staff $3 more per hour to meet the provincial minimum wage instead of letting them harass your customers. In summary, if you dont want to be harassed by the staff, avoid this place at all costs. The food is terrible and the staff are beyond rude.
A real Indian restaurant! What a delight from start to finish. Finally, a restaurant near me that brings back many wonderful memories of my Indian trip :-) I thanked the waitress for the culinary experience, she replied that the whole team made a point of honor to respect the authenticity of Indian food. I recommend this restaurant to fans of Indian food. Yum, yum, just thinking about it makes me want to go back!
One Sunday, I was there and there were a lot of people. As the kitchen is open, you can see the interior: at least ten tables were occupied, and there were only three employees. They were very cheerful and friendly, and their communication with each other was excellent. However, in such a busy location, having so few staff is a lack of respect for workers rights. Mr. Business Owner, instead of focusing only on money, please respect your employees. If they cannot work in good conditions, your money will have no value.
If there was a zero star, I had to choose that. From food to service, everything was pathetic. Waitress was so rude. Only name is Indian, there wasn t anything Indian, neither food, nor staff and their behaviour. That s the first time I faced racism in Sherbrooke so far by Canadian staff of the restaurant.
I really wanted to like this restaurant because its the only Indian restaurant in the area but Im disappointed with the value for money. I spent $40 on a ridiculous amount of food. The Naan bread for $3 was small, $5 for a samosa (I took two, $10, also small) then butter chicken which didnt taste like butter chicken at all. With a ridiculous quantity of rice, it doesnt cost much rice, however, Indian restaurants usually give a rather generous quantity. I was also given a mini portion of salad and a small soup the size of a container of sauce with that (I took to go, we placed my container of soup in the butter chicken, it was chilling in the sauce). Ill pass next time.
Charming waitress, excellent food
Nice restaurant, but thats about it. As a lover of Indian food, this was a big disappointment. First, the waitress tells us that we have to have soup, rice and papadoum with our dishes. We had to fight back to order what we wanted to eat. Then, each dish was poorly balanced. Particularly the butter chicken which had absolutely nothing to do with butter chicken. It wasnt edible. I informed the waitress that there must have been a problem with the recipe, because it only tasted very intensely of cardamom, but neither the waitress nor the cook could tell me if the dish contained cardamom. cardamom.... Finally, the next table turns over their butter chicken due to cooking and the waitress comes back with a new plate saying that it is now the Batch of the day! So our Batch was from what day? Lack of professionalism and would benefit from having a chef who tastes the dishes before taking them out. Its the only Indian restaurant in Sherbrooke, it would be worth trying to do justice to this cuisine.
Excellent, best Indian food!
Very nice and good experience! To start again
Probably very good for fans of very spicy cuisine, but after the first course, we no longer tasted anything because our taste buds had been so exacerbated by the spices.
Everything is very good, lots of flavor, impeccable service and great atmosphere
Fresh food, courteous service, nice decor, a good address in downtown Sherbrooke!
Delicious! Good portions. Welcoming service.
A must for lovers of Indian cuisine! Unique restaurant in Sherbrooke for the quality of its food as well as its relaxed atmosphere! Superb Indian and contemporary fusion decoration!!! And what s more, it s a Bring your own wine!!!
A real delight and very filling!
Excellent! So many flavors. Favorite chai and dahl. We will definitely come back
We loved it. I dont care about the comments that say its not 100% authentic Indian. Its delicious and thats what counts. Go open your own restaurant if youre not happy
Super nice evening, generous portions and spices that take you on a journey. My favorite restaurant!
The flavors are incredible, very exotic. The lighting could have been more subdued, but thats just a detail: we had a lovely evening.
The food was delicious. A lot more authentic than I anticipated. I had the chicken vindaloo and mushrooms tikka masala. If you are in the mood for great Indian you will enjoy it here
Loved the Café Masala restaurant. Good food, nice atmosphere and very good service with our friend Mali.
This was our first and last experience at this restaurant. The portions were ridiculously small for an exorbitant price. What about the dishes? Too sharp to feel anything. The butter chicken was not one, the thali (dry rice, mini portion of soup, and mini portion of salad) was more than disappointing. Its pretty much the same comments that come up. Hoping that the owners will take note and we will be happy to come back.
Really nice staff. They respected my request, a quiet little corner with my lover. Excellent food and spicy as we like. Bravo to the colorful decor. More than affordable price...we love it...
Avoid if you dont like coriander...
Always so comforting to sit at a table at Masala Café. Its so tasty and the service is very friendly!
One of our favorite Indian restaurants in Sherbrooke!
Extraordinary.... majestic atmosphere..
Too bad I ordered take out. I was very disappointed compared to what is served when we eat there. Their transport boxes are of poor quality. Once we get home, the cardboard is soggy and it doesnt look appetizing. In addition, it is not possible to have the excellent chutneys that are served when you are there. Apparently its too complicated to package, even though there are small plastic containers with a lid. As for the new location of the restaurant, there is a lot of echo in the room which means that it is impossible to have a conversation without yelling.
Very good meal! Very tasty. Hotter than what Im used to, maybe I would have liked more less spicy options. We were still won over.
Very good and very good service from Audrey
The welcome and the cuisine always there.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Excellent food! Great service! Superb atmosphere!
I am going to agree with Indian reviews that say the food isnt authentic. Maybe suited for people who have not experienced Indian food in an Indian home or restaurant frequented by Indians. Plus, two dishes we recieved in our takeout order were burnt. Seek an authentic Indian experience elsewhere.
The meal was excellent. However, we waited 2 hours before getting our dishes. Dietary restrictions: Good choice of gluten-free menu
It has nothing to do with Indian food. It s not good at all and people who say it s good please if you haven t tasted real Indian food don t leave a comment! The dishes look like they are already prepared dishes just reheated. The naan bread looks like a pizza, nothing to do with real naan bread. The prices are excessively expensive in relation to the quantity.
Incredible experience!!!
It s a truly out of the ordinary experience. It makes you want to take the time to taste everything. Just incredible. THANKS
Little food and very expensive, taste very spicy Kid-friendliness: Not for children
Service and atmosphere is best but food is nothing like indian food Naan was uncooked from inside No spices in chana masala and palak paneer we ordered Not Good for Indian people Food : 1/5 |
Not good for indians Food was nothing like indian food Food
Worst experience! Worst food ever had in canada till now.
A culinary and cultural discovery with a great team and a warm welcome
Delicious food. Made me feel like I was eating food back in India. The avial was delicious and homely. Vegetarian options: Delicious. Lots of choices. Being a vegetarian myself.
The food was good but nothing more, but the portions are quite small for the price. On the other hand, the atmosphere was friendly and the service was excellent.
Excellent restaurant if!
Perfect place to try different food! Cozy and pleasant decor :)!
The food is excellent, the concept is really fun, quality service and an inviting atmosphere
An Indian restaurant runs by non Indian not even cooks are Indian Ordered daal which was moongi di daal but I don t know why potatoes were cooked in it not butter no spices just daal and potatoes cooked and mixes salt,in Palak paneer you hardly find Palak.mashroom tikka masala was joke and they did have naans which were ready to eat and warmed up on the griller. It s not the place for authentic India food Authenticity can be important when it comes to food, and it s unfortunate that this restaurant didn t meet the expectations. If you re looking for a more genuine Indian dining experience, you might want to try a different restaurant with better reviews or recommendations.
Excellent
Excellent service, one of the best Indian restaurants in Quebec. The dishes were all tasty. My wife and I will definitely return.
Really good food and decently priced. Would come back again!
Became one of my favorite discovery restaurants, delicious from start to finish, very good service
The most authentic thali meals and the butter chicken is amazing!!!
Very good Indian cuisine! Creamy, spicy, and respects the tradition of Indian cuisine! The atmosphere of the place is very exotic and takes you on a journey more than just on the plate!
Great culinary discovery in Sherbrooke. The atmosphere is sensational. The food very good and well presented.
Good service and great food!
The food is exquisite and allows you to discover incredible flavors A soft and cozy atmosphere, we let ourselves travel to a warm place! A great experience to relive! Vegetarian options: A good diversity in vegetarian dishes! The person who accompanied me and I ordered a vegetarian meal and it was so good! There were so many choices we had a hard time choosing
1. They do not serve authentic Indian food e.g . You ask for naan and you get a bread instead of naan.. 2. They overprice everything by big amount. I would strongly recommend trying Shalimar restaurant instead.. Good luck if you still wanna try!!;)
Food 10/10, despite busy evening; impeccable service. Nothing negative to say.
Simply a fantastic experience! Delicious food, wonderful staff, perfect ambiance Food
Beautiful little Indian restaurant. I loved!! Beautiful atmosphere, super good food!! Very good service. It s a BYOB so it makes the bill a little lighter! Beautiful place that I recommend!! Vegetarian options: Lots of options on the menu for vegetarians.
Friendly people Great Service Nice deco interior. But food disappointed me (especially the rice)
Tasty tasty tasty :)
Absolutely delicious! And what about the pimped naan, a must
Lovely little bring your own wine restaurant in the city center. Beautiful decor. The food is excellent and we had very good service. The prices are very affordable. Only downside, a little noisy.
It was excellent. Very tender butter chicken.
Not even close to Indian food.
Such a great discovery this evening!! Everything was perfect, the tasty food x 10, Maudes service, the music, the decor in short we loved it!! Indian at its best
We had a great time on February 11th. The dishes are simple, authentic but above all tasty. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The prices are very fair. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, just like the cuisine. The cuisine and flavors bring the touch of sunshine that we miss too much in this month of February. The only thing I would have liked and that wasnt available is a sort of menu for two where we could taste the whole menu in order to appreciate the blends of flavors...that will give us an additional reason to go back.
Its delicious. I adore. The flavors are surprising in each dish. The portions are generous. The bring your own wine concept makes the value for money super interesting. A restaurant that I recommend!
Best Indian restaurant in town! Super delicious and several veggie options!
Small restaurant so a little noisy. But good quality, excellent service and good prices! You couldnt ask for better Indian food in Sherbrooke.
We had a lovely evening at Masala Café, the food was very good, lovely atmosphere and the waitress was super friendly.
This was my first experience of cafe masala and I have already eaten at several Indian restaurants and I must admit that I have never experienced Indian food as wonderful as at this establishment. The waitresses are WoW impeccable service. The flavors in the dishes are unique, cooking number 1, the presentation is fabulous An orgasm for the taste buds, the eyes, the ears, the comfort and the feeling of permanent meditation as everything is perfect. We really have the feeling of being in India for real. Congratulations to these restaurant owners, you have become my favorite restaurant in Quebec and one of the best in my top 5 in the world where I have been able to travel. Well done
Excellent food, and what about the service, really nothing to complain about. Many restaurants should take an example from Masala in terms of service!!
A perfect atmosphere and a menu full of flavors
Excellent !
Although expensive and coming in sufficient quantity but nothing more, the dishes are brilliantly prepared and the flavors are there. Once again, well done!
Great food and service, but portions are small.
The service was great. But, overpriced, not tasty. The naan and mango lassi were bad.
Great experience
Very good food, the cauliflower pakora and butter chicken are stars. Not like the ones you in Montreal but very good with rich flavors . Very good service.
Super good Indian restaurant. The waitress was friendly and gave us good advice. I recommend the curry/coconut shrimp. They are succulent. I didnt like the butter chicken, it tasted too much like coriander. Also the naan bread doesnt look homemade.
very good, very affordable price and you bring your own wine!
Always super good and fresh! The staff is always nice. I even already won a FB competition for a dinner for 4 at this restaurant. This is my place for comfort food!
As an Indian I can give honest review of Indian food. The food is not even close to Authentic Indian food especially naan & chana masala. Price is very high but quantity is very less. Service is very slow. I guess owner is just taking advantage of location as there are not much Indian people in Sherbrooke. Others do not mind about taste and service
Excellent food, good atmosphere, dedicated staff I recommend!
Coming from Parc-Extension, the homeland of Indian food restaurants in Quebec, I found the dishes tasty, in full in Indian style
The food portions are way too small for the price and the palak paneer taste is quite disappointing comparing to other Indian restaurants. We didnt enjoy the food like we thought we would. However the staff was welcoming and its a beautiful place.
The food is good but the proportions are really small considering the price. The Naan breads are very disappointing, their name should be reconsidered because it is more of a mini-pizza than anything else.
Extremely expensive price for a small portion, not even authentic Indian food
Really loved this place, everything was excellent: the decor, the welcome, the food, the service. For dessert chai tea and cardamom cream, just wow Vegetarian options: Real food, not just salad and its tasty!
Used to the old location also in Wellington but above all to the tasty and generous dishes. But what has made it famous are the tasty and very good dishes. Yesterday we went to a new location which is a few steps from the old one. Only the welcome was pleasant. We were very disappointed. Dishes reduced by more than half, not tasty except for the excess pepper in all dishes. Agreaux tasted NOTHING except hot pepper, the chicken tasted like chicken cooked by grandma with an excess of pepper so hot that I couldnt eat it. The thick naan bread cost $3.50 each. Naan bread that was not. Then a starter filled with red onion. Too bad, were really disappointed with this change. All dishes including bread were cold Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance without steps
Best restaurant in Sherbrooke 10/10
The meal was excellent. The portion could have been more generous considering the orix
To visit!
Recently we ordered. we are surprised that it not much vege. it was a bit complicated. I hope you are more vegan food. Indian restaurants in general are excellent and tasty. The meals are good.
The arrogant attitude of the owners of this restaurant makes it really disappointing. They are not friendly and therefore do not give the desire to contribute to the sustainability of their business. Just reading the responses they give to comments on google map gives a concrete example of how they treat their customers . Its like theyre doing you a favor by going to eat there. As for the food, it is more than ordinary. Small portions, expensive and not very tasty food. Clearly, I wouldnt go back there.
The food is AMAZING. Superb decor in the restaurant. Warm service. THANKS.
You have to try it! Clearly were focusing on flavors: the chutney starter, the butter chicken (wow!), the braised lamb...the tastes are sophisticated and harmonious. The service was very good, menu well explained + sanitary measures very well respected. I would have given 5 stars if the plates were a little more garnished. The meat dishes are small if we consider the price ($8.50-$9.50) that we add to the basic Thalis ($9.75/person). So if you have a good appetite you shouldnt expect to be full with just one dish. Otherwise, I highly recommend it!
I recommend 100%, it was incredibly delicious. The service was very good. The atmosphere was friendly. We will go back there for sure! Interesting and very tasty vegetarian options. I adore
A delight of flavors.
I love this restaurant with its original concept and warm and eclectic decor! We always receive good service and the food is excellent!
Still so good! The incredible smell and the mixture of flavors Wow! It was all there! For us, it was a take out to have a picnic outside enjoying the sun! To do again!
Interesting food, not really up to par compared to real Indian food. There is always something negative with the service every time. Example: this evening we buy $80 worth of take out food, 15% tip.. we eat in front. My girlfriend wants to go to the bathroom and is intercepted by the waitress who doesnt recognize her and who doesnt want to know anything even if she explains to her that she is a customer that evening.
From starter to dessert everything is excellent. Great flavor combination. A great culinary experience and very well served by Audrey. :-)
Delicious ! A plate that may surprise you..
Good restaurant, affordable price, can bring our own wine. Less varied choice than others. But everything is excellent
Lovely service and warm place food is good but can be spicier as per Indian taste . For people not looking for spicy food its awesome.Portion size is small as compared to the price
Immorally good! You absolutely have to taste it!
Delicious meal every time. I dont have the knowledge to judge if its authentic Indian food or not, but I dont care, its good! The portions are generous, the prices reasonable, the atmosphere welcoming. To try!
Good spicy food, courteous staff
Delicious Indian thalis, very good portions and friendly atmosphere. A very pleasant experience every time!!
The food is delicious, the service warm. Public parking nearby.
Very friendly and professional services and delicious food. Its on my list of favorite local restaurants.
Great ambiance and staff very helpful. Wait time is super fast. I was there with 6 friends. 2 of us didnt enjoy the meal (butter chicken and Crevette). Other friends took the same dish and enjoyed it. The spices were too much. The Naan bread was good. We were there on Saturday evening and this looks like a busy time and we had to leave in 2 hours. Overall it was a mixed experience. Some people loved it, others didnt.
Several gluten-free options were available, including a naan alternative. It would be interesting to specify these options on the menu, they are not there. The takeout was relatively quick despite the fact that the dining room was full. Several gluten-free options were available, including an alternative to naan. It would be interesting to identify these options on the menu. The takeout was relatively quick despite the fact that the restaurant was full.
Excellent, I will definitely go back! Everything was perfect, smell, taste, texture, delicious :)
5 stars and more! Tasty and tasty food. The portions are just right and the price is good. The service is warm and welcoming. Well done and long life!
One of my favorite restaurants in Sherbrooke. The dishes are very good and as a vegetarian I have never been disappointed. I love their table d hôte menu. In terms of service, we have always dealt with courteous and attentive staff. The restaurant is a bring your own wine restaurant. In the end, we eat very well there for a very reasonable price.
Very good service, good food, prices are good although the portions are small... But very nice experience!
Very nice decoration, excellent food, quite reasonable price.
Its hard to believe that the owners are French and Quebecois seeing how tasty the dishes are and respect the authentic Indian culinary tradition. The quality/price ratio is incredible, not to mention the bring your own wine option. I would go back anytime!
I have eaten in a lot of typically Indian restaurants and I love their food! I was still disappointed with the quality of the dishes. And in terms of quantity and price, it s seriously ridiculous!!! In a typically Indian restaurant the portions are 2 and even 3 times more generous
I dont understand the 5 stars! Ridiculously small portions! Butter chicken, $10 for 5 small pieces. Dish of 5 small shrimp, $10, 2 mini Naan bread in a grocery bag not edible! They dont even force themselves to make it at home!!! 4$ for that$ It s insulting!!!! I made my rice at home. $25 for a takeaway dish, barely enough for 1 person! Next time I go to Provigo and buy a frozen Indian meal for $6!!!! I certainly do not recommend this restaurant!!! I love Indian food so very disappointed!
Not worth it Tiny portion and it really wasnt good We have tried more than 30 Indian restaurants, and we have never been so disappointed.
Nice welcome, nice place. However Thalis system which includes a variety of tricks did not suit us. You have to take one thali per person (even children) with a dish. So it would be very expensive for a family of 4 (we calculated $100 plus taxes and service). No way to simply take dishes and items from the menu (without Thali) that interest us and share together like the dozens of Indian restaurants we have visited before. A nice improvement would be to offer generous dishes on the menu. Too bad, we left with a glass of water... **** To the owner: Reading your responses to customer comments, you seem to have difficulty with criticism. Please note that I will display the stars that seem fair to me according to my 5 criteria: Welcome, Cleanliness, Service, Food, Value for money. Since I didnt get past the nice welcome stage, I could only notice the cleanliness of the terrace; therefore 2 stars. Hoping that you will be open to constructive comments in the future in order to offer constant improvement to your business, particularly in these difficult times when customers can be scarce.
Always delicious. Pearl to discover in Sherbrooke. Dont forget to bring your wine!
Excellent food!! And impeccable service
Great place, awesome service
First of all, me and my partner are huge fans of Indian food. Masala coffee innovates in its flavors while respecting Indian tradition. The only downside was that the waitress was alone on a Friday evening. My taste buds are already looking forward to our next reservation!
A place to discover. Delicate flavors, intimate place and dedicated equipment.
As a first experience in an Indian restaurant, I loved the thali experience. (excellent chaì tea)
Very good little Indian restaurant in the area!
The Food was Excellent. Catherine was very good, She made a special sitting arrangement for me.Its great to find a Really good Indian Restaurant in Sherbrooke.
The waitress didnt even come to see us and when we returned she said that there was no more room, the service was really unpleasant.
Excellent food, impeccable service and very successful Indian atmosphere!
It was delicious. The service was great
Outstanding service consistent with the type of food, which is delicious. A must have!
I went there recently with friends and what can I say... I highly recommend this place! Outstanding service (hats off to Amira our waitress!!), divine food, excellent choice of dishes, ultra-warm and comfortable atmosphere, all for a super affordable price! A big thank you to the whole team for this beautiful, typically Indian culinary discovery, I plan to go back very soon! :)
