205 Rue Dufferin, Sherbrooke, QC J1H 4M2, Canada
Restaurant traditionnel proposant une variété de plats Libanais. Table d'hôte le soir et menu rapide le midi. Formule "apportez votre vin". Traditional restaurant offering a variety of Lebanese dishes. Table d'hôte in the evening and quick menu for lunch. "Bring your own wine" formula.
This is a review of lunch only- supper might be great. No atmosphere, no warm welcome, soup from a can, frozen or canned green beans, a leaf of iceberg as salad, yesterday's cubed potates, greasy rice with a piece of ground beef, 2 slivers of chicken and everything cold. Very disappointing. PS the hummus was good.
It was a pleasure to have lunch in this wonderful restaurant I came over the ocean from USA I got surprise by the delicious food thank you all for your great service
We were invited there by friends for dinner. We had table d’hotte. The appetizers were a plate of homus, babaghanoosh, tabouleh, vine roll and a small spinach samousa. Everything was fresh and tasty. Then we had a bowl of Salad, the dressing was very tasty. I had the shrimp and lamb skews served with rice and homus. It was very delicious. For dessert, we had Baclava and coffee. We liked everything we had.
The food wasn't cooked on the spot, instead it was microwaved and tasted old. It gave me stomach ache. The only meals that were okay were the entres. It's a shame because the place looks nice and cozy.
Microwaved everything: the vine rolls, the spinach puffs, the rice, the meats, the main courses... Nothing was fresh. The restaurant was empty which should have given us a big red flag. And the owner(?) microwaved everything in front of us. We were so dumbstruck, we tried to joke about it, but there's nothing funny about spending 💰 on leftovers
Nice and welcoming staff, very good food. 10/10 would recommend.
Good food. A place to go if you don't mind the smell of food on your clothes.
This is a popular lunch spot for many people working in the area. The two food options here are chicken shawarma and falafel. This cafeteria-style restaurant is inexpensive, quality is reliable and staff is friendly.
This place deserves to be better known. Excellent food! What about the mesa entrance! A pure delight!
Welcoming and smiling owner. Beautiful portions and delicious dishes
The shish taouk sandwich to take away is $10
Very nice owner and the food is delicious. Go cheer them on, you wont be disappointed!
The owner waiter is very friendly and fast
Always excellent thank you very much
Poor service your dinner will be accompanied by a constant microwave noise. Very disappointed we will not go again unfortunately
Disappointments, from entry to exit.
The food is excellent, the portions are reasonable and the service is provided by the chef-owner who is very friendly. I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere because we were almost alone in the restaurant.
Excellent!
Shish Taouk plate at 11:45 a.m. Pita: 1/5 only 1/4 dry pita with a plate Chicken: 3/5 ok but a little dry Rice: 2/5 meh, yellow rice with chicken (bovril?) Potato: 1/5 dry, cold and absolutely no taste Hummus: 4/5 good taste and good quantity. Price: 2/5 $22 with soda. Expensive for what little you get. Atmosphere: 1/5 Few customers and we have the impression that the staff present dont feel like being there. Heartbreaking. There is potential but the execution is lacking. It was my first visit and quite possibly my only one. I still wish the owners good luck.
I had a $10 sandwich. Rather disappointing, there was too much sauce and I was not offered to heat it. The menu on the internet is really not up to date, the prices have increased considerably.
Pretty ordinary food. Dry skewers, rice and cold potatoes and very little generous quantity. When we arrived, the ladys toilet was not blocked, hand paper almost quickly, trash already full and it had just opened. Insufficient lighting at our table. We were disappointed.
Positive: shrimp skewers grilled to perfection, very friendly owner. Lebanese coffee is an interesting discovery (a type of cardamom espresso) As for the rest, nothing was bad or poorly executed, just ordinary. Suggestions: *You know, in Lebanon, baklavas are very different, smaller, denser, more pistachios with flavors that we hardly use here. Be THE restaurant that makes authentic Lebanese baklavas!!! Stop serving those big things stuffed with honey that we find in the grocery store today!! Put the real thing from real Lebanon on your plates, For example, why not make falafels with 1 different typically Lebanese flavor in each ball? In short, there is potential but in the meantime, a quarter of the menu looks like a Greek restaurant with hummus instead of tzadziki...
It is without a doubt the cuisine of the Arabian Nights of the East. Everything is excellent, from starters to dessert And the boss is so nice
Good quality
Alright!
The back there is excellent...the owner is always smiling even behind his mask (covid joke) we always feel welcome the food is fresh I have a super fragile stomach but no problem with the sultan and Im there I go there every day and finally there is no MICROWAVE!!! ...so no pita with salad and mayonnaise heated in the microwave like the competitors like to do my new best restaurant.....the photo was the baklava
Dietary restrictions: Sans gluten Food
The service is impeccable, it was our first time and we will return. We loved our dishes from start to finish, its a beautiful culinary journey. See you soon Parking: Restaurant parking on Rue Frontenac or possibility of free parking on Rue Abénaquis
Very good dessert!
Portions more than generous!!! The owner so kind and attentive. Excellent food! I recommend without hesitation!
We went with 3 people and I can tell you that the microwave is on fire in this restaurant! Everything comes out of the microwave! I thought about the episode where Gordon Ramsay threw a restaurants microwave from the top of a building! The food was of poor quality. We didnt even eat and we had to pay the bill though.
Love it. Very tasty food!
Amazing food and owner!
Authentic Lebanese cuisine. its the perfect place if you want a different atmosphere than the fast-food shish-taouk restaurant.
My work colleagues always recommended this place to me and I finally went there. Very generous plate (didnt manage to eat it all) and very kind owner. I recommend it to everyone :)
Ok no more.
Its always excellent every time I come, great value for money, thank you!
Always excellent service and very delicious food
A restaurant in the city center, friendly staff, well-filled plates ...
Dear! Expensive for poor quality food! Its not worth the trip! Sorry! And I also had a stomach ache after eating there!
Always good!
Good food, but lack of choice.
Perfect
Very welcoming, the food is excellent and the owner is dedicated to customers, a must!
Simply delicious
The food is very good and the owner is always very friendly and proud of his restaurant.
Very good
Very good Lebanese restaurant in Sherbrooke! Were not wrong!
Bad service, not fresh food
Patricia introduced me to this very good place, wow, highly recommended
Good choice
Very good place
Phew, so I have a stomach ache just after coming back from the restaurant. It looks poor and old. I dont mind the atmosphere, but paying $42 for that I preferred to go elsewhere (including the baladi which is 100 times better), ESPECIALLY paying for food reheated in the microwave (I saw the cook reheating my boyfriends dish ).The service was poor and the lady was insulted when I just wanted to check if the price was correct. In short, not a good investment.
OK place, OK food, nothing extra, just OK...
very good and the owner super nice to recommend
Super good and super nice staff
Its not worth it, we paid too much (40 dollars) for two take-out meals, when we got home, we realized that the two boxes were almost empty, it was our first time and we will never go back . Beirut and Baladi are much better and cheaper.
Really good food and a very friendly owner
Really delicious ! Very good service! The owner is super friendly :)!
I thought to enjoy a libaness dessert but a full meal was offered only
Delicious, generous portions, welcoming owner, I highly recommend.
My favorite restaurant for dinner in Sherbrooke!
Bon restsurant
Quick lunch and at a good price
I liked my meal it was different but very good - were going back!!!
Great place
Very good
Always so good
Good and quick, perfect for lunch! Well appreciated veggie falafel platter :)
Excellent viamde but mediocre accompaniments.
Very tasty, generous portions; more cafeteria style dining room, limited but very good menu choice, vegetarian or meat
Great food, very professional service, evening service
Disappointing for an address from the Debeur Guide :(
Always good
Always a pleasure to go to Sultan, generous portion, tasty and good atmosphere in the evening.
Extremely disappointed with the takeout portions. It almost looks like the box is empty; I wont go back there again.
I really liked the food there is a place is warm
Fried cat with curry aint a mouth watering meal
Yum!
perfect for a nice hearty dinner in the city center
Very good. Great service.
Good food, cafeteria style.
Medium grade reproduction of lebanese food.
Good Lebanese cuisine.
I gave 1 star because you cant give 0! One of the worst restaurants in Sherbrooke, four of us went and we were all disappointed. we ate 4 different plates of skewers: one of shrimp which was burnt and one of beef with parsley which tasted earthy. I also ate the worst salad of my life and the worst hummus there. The only positives were that we were able to bring our own wine which was very good and the service was quite cordial. Restaurant to avoid at all costs.
Very good food and excellent service
Its good and it does the job as they say!
Really excellent
