Called to order for pick up. Very quick to prepare. Chicken wings very flavourful, was just hoping for a bit of crunch. Coleslaw was bland. Poutine du coq is quite good though.

Good chicken. It's pretty much it. The place looks like it hasn't been renovated since it was first built. There's no delivery. It's a take out place only. The waiting it unexciting, and there's absolutely nothing to make you feel welcome whatsoever. The place is hot! during the summer... No air conditioning for customers' convenience. Luckily I was able to escape the bathroom in which I was trapped unscathed!
An institution in the Sherbrooke landscape. It hasn't changed in 20 years, which is good, because it tastes good for a fast food place. Good service by employees.
Beats St.Hubert, Swiss Chalet hands down. Chicking comes close but not close enough to top the King. If I was smart I'd open up one here in Windsor near Chryslers and each end of town. Their food is that good!

Today is Mothers Day. Busiest day of the year for restaurants!! I made calls for my dinner...there was between an hour and an hour and a half of waiting! I went to the .. 10 minutes and I was out! Well done . Keep up the good work
They are so obsessed with getting the order out (which is impressive by the way) that they no longer cook the fries for their poutines. It used to be my place for poutine but not anymore. On the other hand, for Chicken it s the best place in town.

There were 5 of us eating thighs. All the thighs were very dry, either overcooked or done for too long, and even so hard and dry that you could no longer remove the skin from the flesh. The only person satisfied was the one with a chest. If this were my restaurant, I would like to know.

I find that the taste of the sauce changes it could be as good as aven and the coleslaw is not famous but the chicken remains good portion correct price it remains one of the cheapest in town

The poutine has been a real pity for some time... The fries are soft and undercooked. There is 3 times less chicken and cheese. Following my comment, I returned there a week later. I noticed an improvement.

Received a breast with the wing burnt, but black,,, the rest of the skin on the breast tasted burnt too, 1st time I received 1/4 chicken also roasted.
Takeaway only. The chicken is good but the fries are very very average, that is to say frozen and tasteless.

Its only take-out (or delivery via app I believe). There is no place to eat on site, but the dishes are simple and inexpensive. Its always good. The service is extremely fast. Parking: 2 large parking lots, one on each side of the building. Very easy to access.

Slightly dry, very salty chicken. Soggy poutine, grainy fries that taste like a freezer... Salad or rather mashed cabbage. The King of the Rooster has seen better years.
My favorite poutine with or without chicken and extra cheese. Always have sauce on the side to keep the fries crispy.

Super good service as always, very disappointed with my meal. A chefs choice, I am served a batch (that suits me, Ive already had some) with less than a palm of drinkable meat torn from a poutrine and where the meat remains and which bathes in the fat. I called to inform the cashier and she told me that it should not have been served, but I was not offered another one. At least the fries were drinkable!

I order a chicken poutine with 3 sauces on the side (I only get one) it was dry. My son has a breast meal, chicken far overcooked it was dry and no sauce. Very disappointing!

Its been my favorite roast chicken for years, especially with good value for money, but here, the portions are smaller, the prices have increased a lot, up to $4 on certain dishes in a few weeks (even if its is widespread) and the chicken is often undercooked.
Its for takeout, but at a good price. Plus, its really good. As far as Im concerned, finally a sauce that doesnt give me heartburn.

For years Le Coq Rôti has been our favorite and we have promoted it, but in recent months we were no longer satisfied... Fewer fries and fewer roasts, the coleslaw cut too large and the vinaigrette not as good and even the sauce was not the same... as for the chicken it was also good and very well cooked... We were starting to think about going elsewhere, but this Sunday we tried again and surprise: more fries and very good, crispy, the perfect salad (like before) and the good sauce Also . Many thanks for these readjustments, I hope you will stay like that and you will remain our favorites.

Fan of chicken poutine just to take time off from washing dishes and cooking chronically, I bought it often. But unfortunately for me the prices have increased for several months. As a result, I buy about 50% less often. And I just realized that there are more generous options available in quantity delivered to my door for the same price or almost. Avoid if you are keen to get the best deal available on chicken poutine. Do you like boneless? so dark, a quarter of a chicken is cheap. Owner of dishwasher and fully equipped kitchen, no problem with boneless meals on the go. ;) When you spend your time managing food, you really dont want to go boneless when it comes time to eat from a restaurant. I wonder what the ratio of local/non-neighborhood customers is at Le Coq. 90% outside the neighborhood?
