Our taste experience was absolutely incredible! Listening and attentive waiter. Tasty, the pairings took us on a journey. They know their stuff!

Superb evening for our office dinner. The food was out of the ordinary. The desired tastes, different. The careful presentation. With the 7 courses, the portions were sufficient to arrive at the end of the meal full. If it had been 5 courses with these portions, I would have run out. The service was personalized, with a touch of humor, presentation of dishes and wines. The fact that the wines were all organic is another plus for me. The atmosphere is good, with music present but not intrusive. The experience was worth every $ for me!

My third visit and still an excellent experience both in terms of cuisine and welcome. We chose the five-course formula rather than seven and were satisfied. The pairing with the wines is both original and impeccable. A very good address in Sherbrooke.

Excellent restaurant we took the agreement with the 7 services and it was very good. The wines were well chosen and we enjoyed all the dishes, although we each had our favorites. A small downside for the music which gave a strange atmosphere. I like Quebec rap, but the context didnt lend itself very well to it. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday evening, there were only a few tables while we were there, which allowed us to have personalized service. The server was very friendly and answered all our questions.

Superb experience. Ben, the owner, took the time to explain to us the origin of the dishes and the wines that accompanied them. The attentive service we received represents a real difference between enjoying a good meal and enjoying a memorable experience. We highly recommend because we will definitely return!

The bad experience here mainly comes from the service (we didnt even stay for the meal). As we enter, no hello, no summary welcome, they come towards us, putting the menu in front of us while we are still standing in the entrance, we ask if it is possible to sit at a table. Arriving at the table we order 2 glasses of wine and a Virgin... No Virgin but the waiter strongly insists on making his cocktail without alcohol without mentioning what it contained we end up saying yes because very insistent he makes no request on food allergies of course he comes back with a strawberry cocktail (Im allergic), he pours a bunch of bottles of white bin without letting the lady with us taste it and makes my husband taste the red wine when she points out to him that she hasnt been able to taste his wine, he persists!! A big no. We add rap music which in my opinion has no place, I dont believe that people who frequent this type of establishment are particularly fond of this type of music, at least thats our case. We therefore chose to leave, we were looking for a good table but unfortunately the service was not there and we did not wish to continue the experience.

For the service I would have given it a 6 star, the food is excellent. It s a beautiful, very friendly place.

Our expectations were high to celebrate a special occasion by spoiling ourselves with a good meal. The result, wow even better! We taste the work behind each dish in the choice of combinations, in the desired tastes...the WINE combination also received a perfect score 5/5...a first experience for us at this restaurant but not the last.. .We loved living this exceptional culinary experience while encouraging our local chefs, Bravo Benoit and your team :)

Its difficult to criticize the Empreinte restaurant. Its not that the food is bad, nor the service inadequate, but when you enter the range of restaurants over $150 per person you nevertheless expect something more. To boil it down to one sentence: a lack of attention to detail. A fondue with too much cheese for the quantity of croutons, croutons with a questionable texture (neither crunchy nor soft) but which was perhaps desired. A dish of sweetbreads that is difficult to finish: not because it is bad but because it is heavy and the dish is twice as big as the others. And ultimately, half of the wine pairings were bottles that we, having little knowledge of wine, had already purchased before. I would have expected private imports, or at least something other than the well-known bottles available at all times at Saq. Oh, and also the fake retro Galanz fridge really takes you out of the bistro atmosphere of the rest of the restaurant.

We took the seven course with the pairings, all the pairings were perfect, the services ranged from very good to sublime, really impressive. Impeccable service. One of, if not the best restaurant experience of my life.

Its all there. Cuisine worthy of the provinces great restaurants, in a chic, intimate, but relaxed setting. My favorite way to take a break from the daily grind and spend quality time with those who are dear to me.

What a great dining experience! Creative, delicious and refined dishes. The flavors are there and highlight exclusive local products and ingredients. We took advantage of the food and wine pairing which allows us to experience a sublime moment. Perfect for celebrating a loved ones birthday. Quite unusual, we were offered a selection of white wine throughout this adventure. Being a red lover, I would have liked to gradually move towards more enveloping grape varieties, and perhaps even finish with a port to accompany the desert. But it is a question of preference and not a disappointment, because the journey was most enriching. Thank you for taking the time to explain to us the joy on our plates, it s part of the experience! An exceptional culinary adventure that deserves to be experienced. We will repeat the route soon.

An incredible dining experience! The attention paid to every detail in the dishes, all the energy put into the preparation, the improbable and sought-after tastes, everything was sublime! We loved the concept of just one menu, of not needing to choose and being able to taste so many good things! Plus, these are local ingredients! What more could you ask for? It was perfect!

The dishes are thoughtful and absolutely delicious. The flavors are sought after and highlight original and exclusive local ingredients. The presentation of the dishes is also impeccable. We feel that the menus are developed with love and passion. Excellent food and wine pairing. On the other hand, rigid formula which pushed us to unfortunately take the 5 services rather than the complete experience of 7 services, because we had a restriction in relation to one service. I respect chefs, I eat everything and I want to make the most of the chefs suggestion. I never ask for any modification to the dish and I love letting myself be carried away by the experience, but foie gras is the only exception for ethical reasons. This is the first restaurant that did not suggest any alternative to us. Unfortunately, although delicious, the portions were insufficient (5 gnocchi, half a 1 cm slice of celeriac, 3 tiny slices of beef...) I dont have a big appetite, but we finished the evening next door to King with wings and nachos. However, I believe that this is a comment specific to this menu, because this is not the first time that I have been to Empreinte and the previous times, the portions were more generous.

Particularly small portions compared to other gourmet restaurants in the area (I took the 7 course with wine pairing). Nice variety of ingredients, and nice presentation, but the taste of the dishes were not as impressive as reading the menu. Young and relaxed atmosphere which was pleasant for me, but would not appeal to all age groups (the music was rap, and we were seated on high chairs, so a little less comfortable)

This place saved my date night. I had car trouble and it made me an hour late for the date. The staff were super kind keeping the martinis coming to her while keeping her company. These guys made that date night fantastic. Life saver! If ever you really screwed up, take your wife or girlfriend here. Order the full course meal and 1/2 accord. You will get service of an A++ level, delicious food that you could never make yourself or find anywhere else using purely 100% local Québécois ingredients, and wine pairings that youll never forget. We had the pleasure of dining here Saturday evening and had the 7 course. It was FANTASTIC! We did the wine pairing with each course as well. All courses and wines, ciders etc were explained in detail with great conversation! Much, if not all, is locally sourced. Its not just a dinner, but a gastronomic experience. The kitchen is open to you behind the bar, you watch the cooking and assembly of the dishes. The origin of each ingredient is explained to you. Here we encourage the integration of local products as much as possible. There is also the importation of exceptional products not available due to our climate (like wasabi root, for example or certain wines) It s a 7-course meal with the option of a food and alcoholic drink pairing for each course. I recommend it because the pairings work perfectly well and the wines are above those offered at equivalent prices in other restaurants (they dont taste like yeast or vinegar) If you take 1/2 drink, you have the equivalent of 3 drinks so you can drive after... Each serving has a balanced, perfectly seasoned taste. In short, everything is perfect, everyone is nice. Point to improve: the price obviously!! For 2 people, food pairing with half portion of drink: $312 taxes and tip included. Its not within the budgetary reach of many people and thats a shame. Obviously, we are in the city center so parking is paid.

I let myself be influenced by the good comments...my husband never wanted to go there. We decide to try it at lunch. We enter, the person at reception is at the bar, back, with earpieces; the Chiefs can see us very well but none wave to him. (PS doesnt even smell good when you enter the restaurant?). Just a Hello, sit wherever you want, no is this your first time here? no explanation on the principle of the restaurant...we are told that today it is such and such a starter and such a meal...thats all, no menu?! we dont even mention the prices?! For the wine by the glass, we say a red, a white and the guy leaves without asking us the kind we like .I ask him again for the white which turns out to be good but the red wine is too hot and it doesnt work. did not taste the 2nd glass even though he opened a new bottle The starter was very good but the ravioli had too much oil and the tomato sauce was too sweet. (PPS we do not put a dirty spoon back on the wooden table (no placemat or tablecloth!) when we pick it up, we leave with the dirty cutlery!). No need to mention that we didn t stay for coffee ! 2 starters, 2 main courses, 4 glasses of wine = $102 before tax and service.

Most interesting experience. The dishes are excellent and very well presented. The quantity is good and the quality is exceptional. The wine choices are very good, I recommend opting for the food and wine pairings. In addition, local sourcing is real, right down to the plates. One downside, the music was rather loud making conversations more difficult. Were going back.

Excellent restaurant in Sherbrooke. One of the best, in my opinion. The idea of having a single discovery menu is very interesting. Dont miss this restaurant. The concept: A unique menu for everyone, with a series of grandiose small dishes that arrive one after the other. The owners have a creativity that I have rarely seen. Who would have thought of pairing grilled foie gras with pudding chômeur!? A pure delight! Its not cheap, but its much more than a restaurant, its an experience!

The food and wine pairing is breathtaking and I recommend everyone to enjoy the culinary experience at LEmpres. Chefs worthy of the best Quebec restaurants, their success is reflected in the details of presentation and in the quality of each ingredient used. Thanks to Russell and the whole team for this excellent evening! The quality/price ratio is really fair for this type of restaurant. No need to spend $300 per person in a 5-star hotel in Quebec. They offer us a similar service at a much lower cost. The explanation of the 7 dishes from our Butlers was very clear and precise. Pairing wines with each dish takes the experience to a whole new level. I recommend it if your budget allows it. 100% satisfied with the quality of the dishes and the service received See you soon!

Mind blowingly good food !

Good gastronomic experience in Sherbrooke! The dishes were original and refined, including unusual local products such as Quebec saffron. The quantities are sufficient to be satisfied at the end of the meal. I particularly liked the ravioli stuffed with mushrooms with dill and yogurt, which was reminiscent of Polish flavors. I have least liked the oysters denatured by a pickle foam which masked the taste. The wine pairings were successful and allowed me to make new discoveries.

A whole culinary and human experience!!!

Hidden gem. My family and I randomly stumbled upon this restaurant on our way back from Quebec City and it ended up being the highlight of our entire trip. The ingredients were all high quality, locally sourced, and everything was home-made. The staff were very attentive and talked through each course during our 7-course prix fixe meal.

The staff are really very kind and attentive. Big favorite for Ben. It was delicious! The wine pairing is perfect. Memorable experience. Dietary restrictions: I have food allergies and they modified their meal for me.

I didnt like the food at this restaurant at all. The whole thing cost us $244 for two people without the wine pairing. We had a bottle of wine for around $40 and the 7 courses included, among other things, two courses of mushrooms and another of chili peppers. Dessert was half a fig and a small scoop of ice cream on a cookie. At this cost, you would have thought you were at Château Frontenac, but believe me that is not at all the case having already had the experience at the château. This restaurant was a quarter full, on a summer Saturday evening, that explains everything, I think. Exceptional culinary discovery Impeccable and friendly service

We have traveled the world in search of the best food and especially love the serendipity of tasting menus. This meal was by far my favorite experience ever! We arrived early at Lempreinte to find the restaurant set up as an actual farmers market!! Locals were stopping in to by their groceries. We wandered off to come back as the farmer was packing up and the restaurants real purpose was coming to life. Every bite of this over indulgent meal was ridiculously fantastic - thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, wonderfully narrated, and delicious beyond compare. We drove 5 hours to come here on a hope. I would travel many times as far to return. With a tasting menu which changes monthly, you be at the chefs most recent whim.... but that is exactly the point! While more expensive than a simple dinner, the price is shockingly reasonable given the craftsmanship of the dining experience. As a bonus, I am a hobby potter and all of the dishware was lovingly handmade locally as well. I look forward to sampling some of the jars of canned goods that we purchased as well... as we try to extend the glow of our experience in our own kitchen as we return home.

We stopped there as a couple on the Saturday of the big Thanksgiving weekend and luckily there was room at the bar. How lucky! A true culinary experience and a memorable evening. What talent you guys have in the kitchen! Great discussions with you and discoveries that mean we will definitely come back when we are in the area. Food and atmosphere more than perfect. I have never eaten so well. I discovered new flavors and loved every 6-course meal. Each service came with an explanation of the dish, plus every ingredient (or almost) is local and organic. The chef and his team take on the enormous task of adapting the menu according to seasonal vegetables and ingredients. The team is warm and friendly. Each dish came with unique flavors that worked perfectly together. I loved my experience, everything was perfect and I recommend it to everyone.

Finally a thoughtful cuisine with a lot of research. Guaranteed food trip!

We ordered a holiday meal there for December 25 and it was excellent! We cant wait for the dining room to reopen so we can go back. Very good cuisine. All the dishes were delicious.

Impressive dining experience! Its expensive, but its worth going there and coming back since the menu changes often!! I like the fact that this restaurant is well anchored in the community life of the city. Its worth the detour!

Surprise! After the aperitif we discover that there is only the choice of the 6-course table dhôte at $70 per person. The other option is only available for a happy hour which absolutely must start at 5pm... Add $45 for the wine pairing. (Frankly, extra is a must.) The excellent server offered to share the wine. Good idea! Although we felt trapped at first, pleasant surprises followed. It was not only delicious, but also sought after. It was a great experience and we hope to return another season. The atmosphere is built in a room of ideal dimensions on beautiful decorative ideas with authentic recycled materials and an approximate finish for a look that is both thoughtful and rebellious. The music was not neutral enough for my taste, but we had to be too close to the speaker to notice it. To try.

Wow! the staff are attentive and friendly, lovely intimate atmosphere and good music. As for the food succulent. The dishes are varied and change frequently. I took a 5-course tasting menu and it was still affordable for the quality of the dishes. We see that there is a lot of talent and effort to produce local dishes with more sought-after flavors. What can we say after eating the most amazing meal we have ever had the chance to enjoy. The restaurant has an unpretentious chic bistro atmosphere. The staff is welcoming, friendly and very relaxed while remaining very discreet and professional. We had the 6-course menu with wine pairing. How do you describe a meal that at every course you say to yourself my god!!!! Each plate is a discovery of flavor combinations. The pairing of their wine is flawless. Pure happiness I highly recommend it, you wont regret it.

Very very pleasantly surprised by all the dishes I tasted. This restaurant is definitely worth it!

The decoration of the restaurant is very pleasing to the eye. As soon as you enter, the atmosphere is inviting. The music gives a good atmosphere, although a little loud in the evening. For the food we all opted for the chefs menu (6-course mystery menu for $70). In this regard I was unfortunately not very satisfied. Indeed, the services individually had nothing very special apart from the three oysters which were delicious. In short, a salad and goat cheese, bourgots, ravioli, a small piece of pork and a chocolate mousse. For this price, I expected an explosion of flavors and to try diverse and tasty dishes. I was quite disappointed in this regard since I found the dishes visually simple and tasteless. Unfortunately, I wasnt impressed with the experience at all, despite the $200 bill for two. I dont think Ill go back to the imprint. As for the covid-19 phenomenon, distancing sometimes left something to be desired. I saw the cooks raise their visors several times while continuing to work. Far from being a restaurant worthy of the asking prices. Three menu choices are offered between $40 and $60 for dishes plus a supplement from $40 for wine pairing. The products are certainly quality but they are not sublimated. All services lack pep and taste. Good service despite the fluffy napkins which will leave memories on your clothes. Connoisseurs of fine cuisine and gourmets might be disappointed with this restaurant...

This was an ordinary Wednesday night, transformed into a culinary circus by this magical place ! The atmosphere is tasteful, delicate, without trying to compete for your attention.. The staff is lovable, quirky, knowledgeable and somehow, foodie nerds... thirsting for perfection. Went back for lunch before Christmas. The service was not very good, but the place was very busy. The menu was much less interesting than the first time and the mac and cheese was very bland.

The food was good. However, the service left something to be desired. We were never offered anything to drink. No one ever came to see us to confirm that everything was okay. Ex. We were missing utensils to start eating and after 8 minutes of waiting, I went to get them myself from another table. We asked three questions about the menu, to which the answers were dont ask me that, I dont know (ingredients of a soup), its a secret (what is this item on the menu) and its disgusting with a mime of someone vomiting (is the soup good, the ingredients of which he doesnt know). I sum up by saying that the overall experience left me with a disappointing feeling of unease. In the future, I will only consume lEmpreintes food in places like the Festival des Traditions du Monde or the Comptonales, where my desire to try this restaurant was born, but never again in the dining room.

I loved my experience there. Warm service as much as the atmosphere. The food is delicious and careful with attention to detail. Affordable price for the experience and quality.
