The best wonton soup and the kindest owners in the entire region!

First and would be very apprehensive for a second time. Today I ordered two dinners for one (A&B) and on the side was to be pork spring rolls (Qty of 4). Three of the four spring rolls were vegetable and one was pork so incorrect order right off the start. With each meal there was to be sweet & sour pork and crispy ginger beef which I received soggy sweet and sour pork and soggy sweet and sour beef. Rest of the meal was ok and there was a good quantity of rice. Definitely better places in Sherwood Park.

The wood on the door, decor and cleanliness wasnt exactly inviting. The food itself was awful. Our noodles were hard. I hate to complain about everything. But, All four of our dishes I could give real bad reviews. Undercooked overcooked and The service itself was awful. Overly apologetic server not aware of their drink stock. Then he didnt know the selection. We settled on tea, it was served in a stained tea pot. Not the stainless glass that looks pretty! Asked for a small spoon for my daughter to eat rice. Shes two! We were brought out a big spoon and a little spoon because he didnt remember.... Okay, fair enough. In the end our bill was extremely high for what we were comfortable paying for the food that we got. Portions and quality not satisfactory! Wont eat here again unfortunately.

We were passing through the area and found Huis Wonton via Google search. Truly a great find! We had an excellent dinner with great service. And, of course, the wonton soup was as good as it gets! We highly recommend Huis Wonton.

Just ordered $140 worth of food. Had hard chunks of rice that almost broke a tooth, lemon chicken was beyond crunchy, chicken chow mein was so over cooked it was like slime. None of the 7 dishes were very good. Portions super small for the cost. Not impressed

This is the best Chinese restaurant in sherwood park by far. The food is excellent, great portions, and seriously top quality, they definitely go above and beyond. Everyone we have met that has been working there have been so friendly and welcoming as well. My husband and I are pretty picky and Huis did not disappoint. 5 stars and absolutely recommend you try this place!

Get one of the lunch combos. They all come with a very delicious wonton soup, chicken fried rice, beef and vegetables, and a choice of a 4th option.

Very disappointing. I used to frequent their south Edmonton location and really enjoyed the food and service. Staff were great. They closed due to a fire so I decided to give the Sherwood Park location a try. The house won ton soup was okay but the sweet and sour pork was a disaster. The rice was flavorless and seemed like it had been sitting around for a long, long time. The pork was tough and try and virtually had a smattering of sauce with no flavor. The broccoli and carrots were not even cooked but hard and raw. Ate a little but recycled the rest. The egg roll was nice. Hopefully this was a one time issue but not sure if I go back.

Really clean and excellent service

We ordered a dinner for 2 with sweet and sour pork and beef and veg. The food was so fresh and delicious. The lady working there, I believe is the owner as she mentioned she makes the wontons fresh herself, she was so personable and friendly. The service and food were both great! We will definitely be back. Kid-friendliness: Had a booster seat for our son and children s size bowl and spoon. Plus the lady serving us was so friendly and she had him giggling throughout our evening.

Food is a bit pricey. Excessive amount of garlic in the chow mein, peas were over cooked however the noodles were good.

Ordered here tonight and got our food and order was expensive and cost more when they got to the door . Anyways we were hungry so opened the food and the containers were only half full . I think 5 shrimp in our peach shrimp dish that was $20 . Wontons were small chunks of cardboard . Dry and couldn t eat them . The lemon chicken was rock hard and had to pick chicken out to eat . We called to see if anything they could do and she had yelled at me saying they served 30 people today and because we are first time customers . She doesn t know us or what we want and that we were pissing her off then hung up and wouldn t answer our call back . Sad to say we won t return and I won t be giving any decent referrals unfortunately .. I wouldn t even give a one if I didn t have too . Was a waste of $100 !! Sad they would treat new customers in such a manner .

Terrible... Way to salty and no chicken in the rice.

Was a good dinner until about 20 people all came in to celebrate. No social distancing and for sure not all from same house hold. We left. Was sad to see people just dont get it. It was our first dinner out since 2020 march. Our last now until covid restrictions are changed. The boss should know better!!

Best best best lemon chicken Ive had in a long time, maybe ever. We dont order Asian food often but when we do this is our go to. They hand make their own wontons and the deep fried wontons are also worth the visit. Expect to spend a bit on the food here but it is well worth it. Thanx for the yummy in my tummy chicken and wontons. Keep em coming and Ill keep on eating and leaving 5 star reviews!!! Also, staff are all super sweet and nice clean place to eat!!!

Excellent service best Cantonese chow mein and wonton ever!

Extremely disappointed. The food was way over priced and not worth it at all. The cashew chicken lacked cashews, the chicken fried rice had no chicken and the dry ribs were probably the worst I have ever had. This seems like a place that will do the absolute minimum but charge you top dollar for it. If I could give it less than one star I definitely would. Don t waste your money.

Update: they are now opened for lunch and dinner since Nov. 1st. Great Chinese food for eat in or take out. Items on their menu seem more expensive than buffet style restaurants but the quantity and the quality make this restaurant a better value. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very organized, relaxed, and clean. A the wonton soup is great for cold days and the combination menu is good value if you want lots of leftovers.

Loved this place originally but it seems the more I come in now the less they care. I came in to pick up my order of BBQ Chow mein and it was not at all what I remember or expected. As I was leaving I wished them a happy new year and the old man repeatedly said yep yep yep like he was in a hurry to get back to his news paper. A resteraunt is like a family. If you want your family to keep coming by for dinner you want them to feel welcomed enough to want to be around you and bring others The noodles werent fully cooked it was doused in sauce, has a slimey consistency. Used to come practically weekly for fried rice but the quality is deteriorating Overall dissapointed in where things are headed

Unfortunately worst Chinese food I have ever had. The cashew chicken was a disgrace. Bits of fatty chicken with a few cashews thrown on top. Otherwise everything tasted the same. Have to say the spring rolls were pretty good.

Great soup.

Service was Friendly and although food was of a generous portion, it was not the quality we are used to. If you are not used to the real thing, this is pretty good. We had their S&P squid. Not at all what we expected, heavily battered, even the veggies. Will have to sample their soup to see if that is a better choice at this restaurant. Service was good and that made the experience a happy one.

Got takeout here and was expecting good quality food for the price but was pretty disappointed. We got the combo for 2 people (45$) (money we couldve used to go somewhere else and get twice as much good food), which had 4 spring rolls, fried rice on the side, and we chose the 2 mains as ginger beef and the salt and pepper shrimp (3$extra for seafood). Firstly the shrimp tasted great but the portioning was pretty small for a main dish (only about half the container), and then for the rice container on the side it was practically packed to the top with rice and they both came in the same size containers, i was very annoyed about the portion difference, because their should be more food in a main dish than a side dish, the spring rolls were pretty good though. But the main reason I gave 2 stars is because of the ginger beef, it was the most dry crispy ginger beef Ive ever had, you know how its supposed to be chewy, well it was like if they dried out beef jerky until its crisp and then made it into ginger beef, very disappointed. Overall the staff were friendly and nice, but the food was not so great. Edit: I dont like leaving bad reviews, but I do hope that this restaurant has improved their food since I last visited.

We ordered the dinner for 3 and were quite pleased with the portions. Loved the spring rolls and found the deep fried shrimp generous and crisp. Im usually disappointed with chicken balls but not so at Huis. Large chicken cube and light on the batter (perfect)!! Those spring rolls alone are enough to make us return! So happy to finally have a Chinese restaurant in Sherwood Park that serves quality fresh oriental cuisine. Pricing is comparable and take out very convenient.

Starting with absolutely authentic, home-made delicious dumplings in a full and rich broth, to plump and juicy shrimp, crunchy toothsome vegetables, every menu item was a delight. No over saucing, or greasy fried bits. Probably some of the best Chinese style cuisine in the region! Pleasant staff and timely delivery; what more can you ask? Do yourself a flavour favour and order your favourite dishes tonight!

Portions are definitely smaller then they used to be! And since new ownership, the food is not nearly as good as it used to be. I miss the old owners! Rice used to be the best you could find. Not so anymore! Gave it another try today. But it was worse!! There were 4 Kids running in circles throughout the whole restaurant. And a woman changing a Diaper on the booth behind us. Couldnt sit long. Too much kids running around. And the food was even worse!!

Been coming to Huis for a long time and decided to give them a review. I ordered one of the combination dinners from this location earlier this week. Their delivery time from Doordash was earlier than expected and this was during when it was expected to be very busy according to the app that stated they needed more time (but they came 25 minutes sooner, bonus!) - I found the sweet and sour pork to be slightly mushy and the serving size smaller than it use to be but overall it was pretty good. I would still recommend this place!

The price is very expensive. And the food taste extremely terrible. Do Not order Dumplings or any northern Chinese style dishes. Those waste your money and patience. One star for the okay service. I have never tasted such unpalatable Sanxian dumplings and Guobaorou. The fillings of the Sanxian dumplings are not as genuine as the quick-frozen dumplings in the supermarket. In addition, the Guobaorou looks like a big plate, and it is full of starch after taking several bites. It is simply Fried cake. Those poor thin slices of pork were like pieces of paper. So, can the net weight of that plate of pure pork be 15g? Im very doubtful. Very disappointed. It just discredits Chinese food. Dont go. You will regret it if you go.

Ordered Huis from Skip the Dishes, was super excited because I was craving Chinese Food like crazy. The pork jaozi has an awful taste, the wonton soup is bland, the chicken fried rice is also very bland, the pineapple chicken balls are undercooked and gooey inside and missing one main thing, pineapple; the only saving grace is the beef and vegetables and even that was underwhelming.

This is hands down my favorite Chinese food restaurant in town! Their low Skip rating always makes me sad because everything is homemade, their customer service is outstanding, and I havent been able to find better won ton soup in the entire city! Highly recommend!

Worst Chinese ever. Paid 70 in take out Called to talk to the owner and didnt hear a word back. Ordered a number of dishes and not one of them was edible. Seafood smelled of ammonia so it had to be really old. I even offered to bring the food back it was that bad. Dont waste your money here food is bad and they dont care if you like it or not!

Best Chinese food in the park

Good Northern Chinese food thats MSG-free and rather tasty. Prices are not the lowest but its healthier overall so I dont mind paying a bit more for food that doesnt need an abundance of salt and additives to make it taste good. The chive and egg pockets are delicious.

This is now one of my favorite places to eat and Im totally coming back, but when ordering be sure to share a meal with family and friends. They love to fill plates and stomachs

Disappointing portion size, and over priced. I ordered the dinner for 1, which stated I would receive beef with vegetables, chicken fried rice, sweet & sour pork, along with 2 spring rolls for $20. At that price point, I expected decent portions of each dish. Instead, I received a single take out container with one small scoop of each dish. The food itself was genuinely mediocre. A comparable meal could be found at any Chinese food court restaurant for $12/$13.

We went at lunch - enjoyed great food, generous portions & really excellent service. Its in an awkward location, nothing sexy about the exterior, but cute, sort of kitchsy Chinese decor on the interior, including a little koi pond. Loved the homemade chili oil, even bought some to take home! We thought it was a great value & really enjoyed ourselves.

Unfortunately we picked up our order late (so the temp of our food was our fault), however, the terrible over cooked shrimp and chicken balls as well as the melted styrofoam containers were very off putting. In our dinner for 4 the only enjoyable item was the chicken fried rice, a huge disappointment and waste of money.

We ordered and picked up. The ginger beef was stale. So stale that you could barely chew it. It was probably made the day before. They forgot to include the lemon sauce with our lemon chicken. The fried rice was cold. Ive ordered here several times before but after this experience well never order again.

They just took over Tin Tin on the southside. The prices went up almost 30% and the amount of food decreased as well as the quality of meat they used. I was a long time customer of Tin Tin and I feel badly for the staff who have remained largely the same but I wont be going back.

Best home made wontons!

This was the first time I had Chinese food from Hues Wontons in Sherwood Park, Ab. I wasnt very impressed. I really taste the oil that they cook a lot of the food in.......not very good. It got to the point that I couldnt finish my meal. My husband on the other hand didnt have a problem with it. I wont be ordering from there any more.

Great chinese food!

When I ordered I was told that my food would be delivered in 45 min or less. It arrived after an hour and a half. When my food got here I realized they got my order wrong. At this time I also saw my green onion cakes looked to be refried and were burnt and the crispy ginger beef was soggy. Overall terrible experience as I am now out $50 and am still hungry. I highly recommend getting your Chinese food somewhere else.

Sorry to say but I didnt enjoy finding the digestive tract on one of shrimp still on the shrimp. Overall service is good but really the chef should have seen that?! Gross!

I base my judgement of a Chinese food restaurant on their ginger beef. Ive tried a lot of places in the Sherwood Park, and theirs is for sure the best. Definitely my go to Chinese food place.

Not as good as when it opened. We use to go twice a month and it was the best in Sherwood Park Has been slipping. Now hit and miss. Portions are smaller and less chicken and shrimp in dishes. Hui is always pleasant, but when she is not there, the staff are not very friendly. They seem huried and rushed. Sorry, but when you pay good money you want consistency.

Had dinner there last night. June 4/15 Ordered the meal for 4. Wonton Soup was almost tasteless. Not the quality that the single order dish has. No veggies, not shrimp... very plain. Chicken Fried Rice - tasteless. Was disappointed in the lack of flavour. 4 mains were ok - Nothing stood out. Shishkabobs were replaced with spring rolls - which were ok. We were not notified of the switch, and when we asked about it, they indicated that we should have known about this had we been regularly customers. Not good advice. Waiters were very poorly dressed. One had jeans that were so low as to almost be indecent. The waiters did not look professional or clean. Service was just ok. This was such a change from our previous experiences at this restaurant. Are there new owners? What has happened to the atmosphere and the quality of the food & service?

These guys are horrible !!! they cant get your order right , you cant customize your own combo dishes . Look elsewhere for that!! Plus they hang up the phone while trying to order ...... not impressed !

Absolutely amazing food! Staying at a local hotel I searched out some nearby restaurants and was somewhat disappointed until I took a chance and ordered delivery from here. Even in take-out trays it was arranged attractively and the flavour from good quality fresh ingredients is unmistakeable. Great service and great food!
