Hidden gem in the park! Tired of KFC and the other fried chicken places? Omg I m happy to have discovered this place. Fries are great, pricing is much better than the competition, everything is made fresh. Can t get enough of their chicken!!! My daughter loves their tenders as well. I tell everyone I know about this place, had no idea it was in the Park!

My wife and I had an enjoyable chicken dinner combo. The owner took time to explain how the chicken is sourced locally, cooked fresh, and use of all natural ingredients. The chicken was very tender and moist...not greasy. The owner is local to Sherwood Park...so if you like supporting local community members and having a tasty reasonably priced meal, this is the place!

We tried Oh Johnys for the first time and will definitely be back. The Fried chicken was delicious, I had both the spicy and regular, the breading was crispy and flavorful and the chicken pieces were high quality. The fries were tasty and well seasoned. The only complaint is that the chicken burger had cheese on it which wasnt listed in the ingredients and didnt really work on the burger, also the lettuce had wilted but that could have been because it was take out. The staff were friendly, the restaurant was clean and my order was ready at the time they estimated too!

Was excited to try this place based on the 4.8 google review stars. Sadly, we (4 diners) had high expectations and were all left disappointed. The service was undeniably top notch, 5 stars! The gentleman working the counter was very friendly and inviting. The chicken coating was good, but the flavour of the meat itself was lacklustre, underwhelming and the meat was a little tough and chewy. My best guess would be that the bird was old. The amount of gravy received in the family meal was not proportional to the amount of chicken and fries we received. The gravy had a very one dimensional taste, kind of like it was made by just adding beef bouillon and a thickener to hot water, not good. The lemon pepper wings were quite good, definitely better than the chicken. Overall, there are far better establishments where I d spend my hard earned money. In response to the owner s questions, we ordered the Family meal C and a 15 piece lemon pepper wings. We picked up the meal ourselves and took it home. I appreciate the owner reaching out, this is a good indication that they are involved and concerned about their business and making steps to ensure customer satisfaction. Based on this, I would be inclined to try it again in the future.

Had to share this as it was a first and last for me I have been here before on many different occasions but its been a while as the business has been sold to someone else today I payed for white meat its extra but usually worth it if you like breast meat sadly it was a joke the 3 peices I payed for had been stripped of the breasts probably for chicken tenders but still sold to me stripped it was a little bit funny being it was deep fried cartilage where the tenders or breasts would / should be lol. totally unacceptable tho like going for a pizza where they sold the cheese to someone else and charged you extra for it. so sad this place used to be amazing, sadly no longer.

They give u TITANIC pieces, seriously some of the biggest fried chicken pieces Ive ever seen for a really decent price, the seasoning is so nice. Juicy without being greasy, fries are nice, gravy is delicious but just slightly watery for my preference. Will order again for sure, amazing value!

Food was amazing ! Chicken is fresh and juicy. The spicy chicken uses some Carolina Reaper peppers in their seasoning. Excellent French fries and a great value !! Deep Fried Pickles (spears) are a great value and are the best I ve had in a long time. Would 100% eat here again. Define grab some good food here !!

Finally had the chance to try this eatery out for lunch. Fried chicken has become wildly popular, with many different takes on it. Oh Jony s has done something very unique with it and created arguably the best I ve ever had. It was about a 20 minute wait for the chicken, but turned out to be well worth it. Super crispy, super juicy, seasoned very well, and nuclear hot when brought to the table. (definitely munch on a few fries first) The owner was very friendly, kind, and seriously committed to preparing an excellent plate of food. A must try!

This is a new up and coming fast food place in the park, near Sherlock homes. Might not be the fast food place you are used to, as every meal is cooked fresh. Allow 20 minutes. So if you are in a hurry, phone your order in. Ive really only tried the chicken here, and its pretty good. Biggest difference i found was the price, its reasonable.

The staff are very polite. The service could have been used in a manual for how to treat customers. The chicken was good. Everyone has their favourite chicken and this will be among my top 5 of places to get fried chicken. The store was clean and the staff answered all questions about the food they make.

I hadn t heard of this place prior until looking up local fried chicken places which is a bit of a shame as it is a respectable local restaurant. The food is fresh and well made and the chicken was tender and juicy. The owner was very polite and kindly explained their cooking philosophy along with provided excellent customer service. He seemed very appreciative of the business and clearly cares. This is a local business worth supporting and giving a try.

We tried this little gem for dinner tonight and we were not disappointed. Greeted by friendly individuals who explained how the chicken is fried, that it is prepared fresh and without sodium which sold us and the twenty minute wait was worth it. The chicken pieces were huge, crispy and absolutely delicious! Two pieces equalled the size of four at the competitors. The fries were plentiful but we could have done without the salt on them as well. At first we thought the coleslaw was missing that zing but quickly agreed it blended quite well with the chicken and fries. Definitely a place to go back to! Was also impressed by the signs posted in the restaurant. This world does require more kindness and this is a great place to experience just that.

Good chicken tenders. They were indeed cooked but not overcooked. And you can tell the chicken is fresh (not frozen). Next time I will try their buffalo burger. Went based on 4.9/5 star reviews. Thought wed have an awesome experience based on that alone. We had chicken burgers which were like a couple tenders on a bun with wilted lettuce. Nothing special not overly juicy or tasty. Fries were just basic shoestring type in a bag. Think well give it a miss next time. Not sure where those 5 star reviews came from.

I was driving by Oh Johnny s and thought to myself mmm fried chicken. My 4 year old asks where we are going, so I tell him and he tells me he s ready to try fried chicken (which he so far refuses to eat). After ordering from the friendly staff, and waiting the appropriate amount of time for fresh chicken, we dug in. My son loved it! It was very fresh, very crisp and very delicious. Good, family ran establishment with fair pricing.

Loved the chicken burger, but the fried chicken was terrible. Overcooked and no flavor but the grease that it was cooked in. Would go back for the spicy chicken burger, but go elsewhere for the fried chicken.

The staff was extremely friendly! The chicken was juicy and delicious, the fries were ok, the bartered mushrooms were sliced mushrooms. We would be back for the chicken for sure! Bathroom could have been cleaner.

The best fried chicken in Sherwood Park, hands down. It will take about 15-20 minutes because it is fried on the spot, but I can promise you that it is absolutely worth the wait. A+ to Oh! Johnys!

Don t be deceived by this small little gem! They make your chicken to order, so it takes a little longer but is super fresh and delicious. The service was excellent, professional and genuine. Tried this out for an office lunch. Chicken was amazing: crispy, flavorful, moist. As others have said the spicy chicken was right in the sweet spot for heat level. Sides were just ok, and expensive for the portion size; $7.50 for 12 ounces of coleslaw?! Next time well just get the chicken.

Got 10 pc chicken, large fries, and 8oz gravy. The chicken is not bad, it certainly doesnt taste as greasy as say, KFC. Fries are standard tasting, but nice and crispy. Employees are nice and friendly as well The price is a little steep, $40 for that. AND they forgot my gravy, so thats a minus. For the pay, I would have really liked to enjoy the necessary gravy.

Oh Johny s Fried Chicken is the BEST Asian/Filipino Restaurant in the Park. Their original flavour of Chicken is really authentic! Very tasteful! Chicken burger is really good. Customer service is excellent!!! Give it a try u won t disappoint

Ate here for the first time today. Service was exceptionally friendly, chicken was fresh, hot, crispy and delicious. One friendly heads up, if you look at their menu and see the spicy option and think to yourself I like a little bit of spice on my chicken , this is not the option for you. If you think it might be fun to cry while I m eating Then spicy might be just right. I ll tell you, it was very good, but they are not joking when they say spicy.

Tried this place had the spicy chicken burger. Very nice just the right amount of spice. This place will only cook after you order so its always hot and fresh, would be nice if more places did this as something drying out under a heat lamp waiting for you is not good idea. I would rather wait for fresh cooked then fast food,. This place gets that .

Really really good chicken, the batter is crunchy but delicate. Perfect doneness and texture, with ample nubbins. Doesnt take on too much oil, I feel like I can still walk after a 5pce tendy meal. Definitely gonna come back and make my way through the whole menu!

6 pieces of chicken (family A dinner) was absolutely garbage, 80 percent of the chicken was not edible, mostly skin and no meat what so ever. Five normal bites and nothing left of the meal i ordered. Very bland in taste. The fries that came with the meal tastes like frezzer bag fries from walmart. If I knew what kind of C$@p I was expecting I would have just got KFC.

There is no way this should have a 4.9 the chicken is absolutely bland and had no flavour just tasted like flour and grease.thought maybe the gravy would help its cause but the gravy was not good also .

The chicken strips were amazing. Honestly the best I ve had in years. Onion rings were good but not the best. Chicken burger was delicious. Only down fall was it was super cold inside. Other than that juicy chicken and super friendly.
